The show's main character. A local institute's scientist and a very nice man who can get angry when someone pisses him off. He accidentally gets into all the events of the story despite not being very important. He becomes the institute's director in season three.
  • Batman Grabs a Gun: When Grigoriy offers Engineer to help him stop Natella using dangerous chemicals, he refuses, saying that violence will lead to more violence. Engineer created the lady in his mind to cope with loneliness and stress. He gets so obsessed with her that he rejects a real girl because of his loyalty to an imaginary one.
