Checking if Martial Arts Headband (redirect: Hachimaki, having 65 unlocked wicks, might look at them all.) is just chairs that martial artists sit on, or if it's more than just a overlapping with martial artists.

There's Badasses Wear Bandanas.

Martial Arts Headband: Ignore Sandboxes.

Did all of Main. Characters is the biggest namespace, but don't need them all.

    Fan Club (6)
  1. Cute Sports Club Manager:
It's not rare for both variations of this character to, at a point, make lucky charms such as hachimaki or misangas for every member of the team.
  2. Characters.Chihayafuru:
    * Martial Arts Headband: Wears the traditional hachimaki headband with words of encouragement on the inside, as it was a gift from her teammates. She has likewise made some for them, so they all wear them in their matches.
  3. Anime.Kaginado:
    * Hachimaki: In episode 21, Kyousuke, Masato and Kengo wear "I Love Riki" hachimaki on their foreheads.
  4. Manga.Gintama:
    * Hachimaki: Part of the required uniform for Otsuu's fanclub.
  5. VideoGame.Osu Tatakae Ouendan:
    * Fangirl: The three middle-aged fangirls of JIN 2 in OTO 2. And apparently, Honoka and Reika (the supporting rival cheerleader squad) may also be his fangirls, since they appear carrying a fan with his name (Honoka) and a Hachimaki with his name written (Reika).

    Hat Of Power (3)
  1. Science Wizard:
    * Guilty Gear: Sol Badguy is a powerful magic user and excellent engineer. His inventions include the Outrage, a device meant to channel and magnify magic energy, and Gear Cell Suppressor, the Martial Arts Headband he wears which is designed to both isolate and regulate the Gear cells in his body in order for him maintain a humanoid appearance.
  2. Salaryman
    * Osu! Tatakae! Ouendan
** In the first game, one of the levels features a salaryman named Ichiro who grows to the size of Ultraman by putting his tie on his head like a Hachimaki, in order to save his daughter for a giant blue mouse. It's just that kind of game.
  3. Funny.Bleach
    * The whole [[{{Hachimaki}} Amazing Headband of Justice]] scene. Urahara gives Ichigo a headband and claims he needs to shout a ridiculous chant to activate its protective abilities. Ichigo refuses and then nearly gets pulped by his opponent...
Ichigo: AMAZING HEADBAND OF JUSTICE IN PLACE! AMAZING ARMOR OF JUSTICE PROTECT ME!!
Urahara: Oh, what do you know. I can't believe he actually said it.
    It eventually ends with...
Ichigo: "Amazing Armor of Justice" my ass! More like armor of junk!

    Signature Headgear (14)
  1. Characters.Warrens Of Oric The Awesome:
    * Iconic Item: His red headband. He sells it for inventory space.
—> You feel saddened by the loss of your individuality, but you realize it is a necessary trade-off.
  2. Characters.Core Line Avengers Infinity:
    * Hachimaki: Wears his iconic one in lieu of the mask Iron Fist uses.
  3. Characters.Dorabase Other Players:
    * Hachimaki: Sports an iconic one one after he returns to the baseball field. When he gets violent, his monk uses it as a weapon to tie and restrain him by chanting a specific mantra.
  4. Clothes Make the Legend:
    * Mortal Kombat:
** Liu Kang just wouldn't be Liu Kang without his trademark red-and-black pants and red bandana, which have been a staple for the character since his appearance in the second game
  5. Iconic Item:
    * The King of Fighters:
** Kyo's Martial Arts Headband - to the point that when he canonically stopped wearing it, his clones began wearing it in his stead, and he finally puts in back on in XV.
  6. Signature Headgear:
    * Tales of Phantasia: Cless Albane has a Martial Arts Headband that several later games in the series include it as a costume option
  7. Characters.Adventurers:

  11. Characters.Dai Sentai Goggle Five:
    * Hachimaki: Often wears a headband around his head.
  12. Literature.Class 12 K:
    * Hachimaki: Ryo, at all times.
  13. Characters.Wrestle Angels 1:
    * Hachimaki: Part of her signature look. Her second private event in Survivor has her dragging the President out to buy her a new one while mumbling to herself about how having one he bought her would inspire her to fight even harder.
  14. Characters.J Stars Victory VS:
    * Hachimaki: A signature of his. Supposedly can even use it for his neutral circle, Kikou Touhou: Koufu Kensaikou (Qigong Fighting Law: Stiff Cloth Fist Smash Merit) where he draws it out to smash someone with it. Trying to attack him head-on during this can cause him to catch-and-counter any incoming move for a free hit (as long as his target is properly lined up in front of him).

Putting on a bandana to prepare for awesomeness. A.k.a invoking Badasses Wear Bandanas? (10)
  1. Film.Revenge Of The Nerds:
    * Hachimaki: Takashi dons the Kamikaze headband before going on the panty raid.

  4. Characters.A Channel:
    * Hachimaki: She wears one when preparing for her New Years diet.
  5. Necktie Headband:
    * Agent/Principal Phil Coulson of Ultimate Spider-Man seems prone to this trope when going into battle. After all, nothing says Badass Principal like an improvised Martial Arts Headband.
  6. School Sport Uniform:
It can also show a character to be competitive, like during a school sport festival, especially if the character also dons a Martial Arts Headband.
  7. Characters.Shimoneta:

    Martial Arts / Japan / Ninja (15)
  1. Characters.Consolers:
%%* MartialArtsHeadband: With the Team Ninja logo
    # Characters.J Stars Victory VS:
    * Hachimaki: Sports a classic ninja headband.
  2. Characters.Wrestle Angels Survivor: Page also has Hachimaki-s:
    * Martial Arts Headband: Variant. In Survivor 2, Mylene wears a mongkhon, a headband given to a muay thai practitioner when his/her master deems them to have become an experienced fighter.
  3. Characters.Yandere Simulator Female Students: Martial Arts Club members
  4. Characters.Yandere Simulator Male Students: Martial Arts Club members
  5. Badasses Wear Bandanas:
Note that this does not have to be an actual bandana, and could be a do-rag or headband, which would fall under Martial Arts Headband if martial arts is involved, especially in Asian cinema.
    * Power Rangers:
** Tommy Oliver and Adam Park from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers wore bandanas on occasion. Adam's predecessor Zack wore one at least once. Jason Lee Scott, the original Red Ranger, occasionally wore a red Martial Arts Headband. When the Rangers were granted new Ninja powers they gained new costumes that came with head bands as part of the ceremony.
  6. Custom Uniform:
    * In Naruto, none of the main and few of the secondary characters wear the uniforms of their villages. The closest thing to uniformity is that everyone does wear a forehead protector with the symbol of their village somewhere on their body. After the timeskip Lee and Shikamaru wear the uniform's flak vest, but have customized the rest of the outfit.
  7. Eyepatch of Power:
    * Naruto:
** Kakashi hides a special eye behind his Martial Arts Headband. In fact, he had to switch out his old eye for it...
  8. Hong Kong Dub:
    * In the first of the Police Academy movies, Larvelle Jones (played by Michael Winslow, a.k.a. the guy who does the funny sounds) puts on a Martial Arts Headband, makes Funny Bruce Lee Noises and flaps his mouth in imitation of this trope to intimidate some thugs. Jones would also do the dub gag in the following films.
Larvelle Jones: Wanna fight? Fight me!
  9. Characters.Adventure Quest Worlds Around Lore:
    * Martial Arts Headband: As befitting a ninja, he wears one of these.
  10. Characters.Wrestle Angels 2: Kendo girl:
    * Hachimaki: It's rare to see her without one.
  11. Pantheon.Mentalism Other:
    * Symbol: His rising sun headband
  12. Pantheon.Predecessors And Mentors:
    * Symbol: His rising sun headband
  13. UsefulNotes.Hat Shop:
If it's a Hachimaki and you're in The West, you're a karate apprentice.
    Or a sushi chef.
  14. Characters.Total Drama Legacy:
    * Martial Arts Headband: Serena gives one to Storm at the end of "The Word On the Street". It has a rising sun and the Japanese word for "lightning", inazuma (稲妻), on it. She's still wearing it in "After the Dive of Shame", and goes on to wear it in Worldwide.

    Shout Out (6)
  1. Characters.Damnatus:
    * Martial Arts Headband: The red "Rambo" headband is a good visual cue to the audience that he is from Catachan.
  2. Characters.Valkyria Chronicles III:
    * Martial Arts Headband: As part of his callback to The Shinsengumi, Shin wears a hachimaki.
  3. Characters.Wrestle Angels Survivor:
    * Named After Somebody Famous: Who else but Sanada Yukimura? She even wears the historical Sanada family mon emblem on her Hachimaki.
  4. Characters.Girls Und Panzer Oarai Academy Duck And Hippo Team:
    * Hachimaki: A red one with three columns of two coins. See Named After Somebody Famous.
    * Named After Somebody Famous: Uses the same nickname as that of Sanada Yukimura, one of the most famous warriors of the Sengoku period, down to adopting his mon (family badge) of three columns of two coins as part of her hachimaki.
  5. Manga.Happy World:
    * Shout-Out: In chapter 35, Hikaru dresses like a Kunoichi and dons a Konohagakure headband.
  6. ShoutOut.Food Wars:
    * In the breakfast buffet trial using eggs, the introductory splash panel to chapter 29 features a personified egg wearing a cap, cape and facial expression similar to M. Bison, with Soma wearing a Hachimaki and outfit akin to Ryu

  9. Characters.Mobile Fighter G Gundam:
    * Hachimaki: He wears a red headband befitting his hotblooded warrior persona. Strictly speaking, it's the only part of his outfit that he wears both in his civilian garb and in the mobile trace suit. Master Asia steals it once or twice to use as a weapon.
    # Red Is Heroic: Has a red Badass Cape and Hachimaki. His Latex Space Suit also changes to red everytime the Shining is on Gundam Super Mode. Lastly, the God Gundam's hands turn red everytime he's using the God Finger.

  20. Characters.Wishmere:
    * Martial Arts Headband: A white one.

Other Mention of the concept (14)
  1. Alternate Company Equivalent:
The similarities between Sakura Kasugano and Shingo Yabuki, both being headband-wearing high schoolers who idolize the main hero and emulate their fighting style, are so pronounced, that with the year and a half gap between their respective debuts, it wouldn't be surprising if Shingo was deliberately designed to be Sakura's Spear Counterpart.
  2. Custom Uniform of Sexy:
Also his helmet is a [[Martial Arts Headband metal bandana]] that covers practically nothing of his face and hair, whereas his men get a proper, face-covering helmet.
  3. Goroawase Number:
*** When he loses the IXA System, Keisuke Nago tries to become a Big Brother Mentor to its new user and starts wearing a T-shirt with 753 — Nago-san — on it. Since then, 753 has become a fandom short-hand for Nago's name. It even gets referenced in Kamen Rider × Kamen Rider Gaim & Wizard: The Fateful Sengoku Movie Battle, where the leader of the Kiva Army (played by Nago's actor Keisuke Kato) wears a Martial Arts Headband with "753" on it.
  4. Necktie Headband:
Exactly What It Says on the Tin: someone wearing a necktie around the head as an improvised Martial Arts Headband.
  5. Scarf of Asskicking:
A Sister Trope to Badass Cape and Fedora of Asskicking. Frequently part of an Adventurer Outfit. Can occasionally be replaced with a sash or a Martial Arts Headband.
From Street Fighter III, there's Makoto. This may be a subversion, as the scarf in question is said to be an oversized Martial Arts Headband worn around her neck according to some sources.
    * Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World has Emil Castagnier in his 'Ratatosk Mode'.
** In the first game, we have Lloyd, though it's more like "long, white Martial Arts Headband wrapped around the neck" of asskicking.
  6. Shotoclone:
Wearing a gi or headband is optional.
  7. Characters.Ace Attorney Witnesses And Other Characters Manga:
    * Martial Arts Headband: One that says "Hot Blooded"
  8. Wrestling.The Miz:
    * Martial Arts Headband: Has started rocking a custom-made hachimaki as part of his new entrance-attire ensemble ever since WrestleMania 34.
  9. Wrestling.Von Erich Family:
    * Martial Arts Headband: Chris wrestled with one, although the big hair characteristic of the decade made it look more like a hippie headband.
  10. YMMV.The Miz:
Ever since Miz came out with his new entrance ensemble consisting of fancy red and gold jacket and Martial Arts Headband, people have jokingly speculated that Miz is auditioning for a Naruto live action film, complete with faux-references such as "Mizjutsu".
  11. Goggles Do Nothing:
    * Naruto:
    ** In the early design stages, the titular character was also supposed to wear a pair of useless goggles. However, the artist found goggles too hard to draw, and so replaced it with a headband after the first few issues. Attention is called to it, as one of Naruto's mentors notes he's wearing the goggles as a replacement for the hachimaki actual ninja wear;
  12. Opaque Nerd Glasses:
    * A throwaway gag in Bleach has Ichigo offered a pair of these (and a Hachimaki) by a classmate who he outperformed.
  13. CodeGeassThePreparedRebellion.Tropes A To I:
    * Custom Uniform: Downplayed. Uniforms in the Order of the Black Knights are all the same except for the red-rimmed berets worn by their founding members in lieu of their trademark red hachimaki from their time as the Kozuki Cell, subtly setting them apart from later recruits who wear gray-rimmed ones instead.
  14. HopeSpot.Anime And Manga:
loses his always-worn Hachimaki to reveal a photo of his ex that he had been carrying all of these years

    Other (5)
  1. Anime.Afro Samurai:
    * Hachimaki: The series' plot revolves around attempting to get one of these to supposedly challenge the one who wears another one which supposedly grants the wearer godhood.
  2. SeriousBusiness.Anime And Manga:
    * Hachimaki are Serious Business in the world of Afro Samurai, with the Number One headband apparently conferring the powers and responsibilities of a God, and only the Number Two headband has the right to challenge the holder of the Number One headband.
  3. Characters.Tales Of Symphonia:
    * Hachimaki: Is that what that utterly ridiculous neck-tie-thing he's always sporting is?
  4. VisualNovel.Family Project:
    * Hachimaki: Matsuri dons one after fainting at a..um...key moment...in the plot.
