  • Accidental Misnaming: Much like a certain Saiyan from a certain retelling of Dragon Ball, Heart and Dan think Frieza's name was "Freezer". Frieza is not amused when he hears Heart call him this in their fight.
  • Aim for the Horn: One of Frieza's Death Beams ends up chipping off one of Mora's horns.
  • Always a Bigger Fish: The 12th Doctor finds Kid Buu this, finding him to be on a whole other level. He even tries to warn Blitz about trying to kill Kid Buu by telling him that demons like him always forget there's always worse out there. He ends up being proven right when Kid Buu wakes up and kills him and Ernesti.
    • Kid Buu attempts to absorb Golden Frieza, only for Frieza to just burn through and disintegrate him. This is especially worrying since Buu was one of two people that Frieza feared crossing. (The other being Beerus, the God of Destruction).
  • A Molten Date with Death: At the tail end of the third chapter, Golden Frieza smashes his fist into the ground, which causes beams of magma to erupt around him. The Soldier ends up being killed by one of these.
    • The plan Heart comes up with to stop Frieza is to keep the Acrosian floating above the volcano until it erupts. While the lava won't kill him, it will launch Frieza into the barrier, which will kill him. The volcano activates at just the right time, sending the Death Bomb Frieza tried to throw at Heart right back at him and into the Barrier.
  • Angst? What Angst?: When Curly considers using the wish to repair Jenny, she remembers hearing about how everyone who dies comes back anyways. So she focuses on her survival instead.
  • Arson Murder And Jay Walking: Blitz's I.M.P. credentials on his card include "hired gun, murder professional, and horse enthusiast!"
  • Ash Face: Blitz ends up getting hit by Aries' flames, but all it does is cover his face and suit in soot.
  • Attack on the Heart: Golden Frieza begins his massacre of the remaining contestants by shooting a Death Beam through Mora's heart.
    • Frieza and Blitz kill Toriel by shooting through her head and heart with bullets and Death Beams.
  • Back for the Finale: As this is the last Arena of the second season, this happens for every contestant featured here.
  • Beam Spam: Vegeta uses his technique to make sure Frieza doesn't get his hands on a Smash Ball, though Goku thinks he's trying to attack him and reminds him that his technique never works.
  • Be Careful What You Wish For: In this Arena, small sets of mini Dragon Balls that are scattered across the Arena and anyone who collects all seven of them get a wish. Unlike the regular Dragon Balls, the wishes that one makes from these Dragon Balls come with a drawback, as two characters find out:
    • The first character is Lola, who uses her wish to become so fast no one can catch her. The catch this one comes with is that she can't control her speed, which winds up doing her in.
    • The second character is Frieza who wishes to be taller. He gets it, but is left unable to use his Golden and Black forms until he adjusts to his new body. This leaves him unable to easily defeat Heart in the final battle, which eventually results in his defeat.
  • Big Ball of Violence: Shantae and Sarah get into one when they try to obtain a Smash Ball.
  • Big "NO!": Cammy cries one over watching Chun-Li get blown up.
  • Big "OMG!": Wario screams this just before he gets blown up by Frieza, true to form.
  • Big "WHAT?!": When Frieza dodges Nicole’s attack, she lets out a "WHAT THE WHAAAAAAT?!" moments before she hits the barrier.
    • In the final fight, Heart screams one when Frieza announces he’s going to kill everyone on Heart's world when he finds it. And then Frieza has one when the shockwaves from Heart punching the ground dispels his Death Ball.
  • Blow You Away: When several characters charge at Golden Frieza, he just blows into the air with his lips to push them into the hurricane.
  • Body Horror: A glitch causes Goku to teleport into Shantae's body, with the two merging. The result is Shantae's face being inside Goku's chest and her limbs flailing. This fusion also allows Kid Buu to kill the both of them while they're stuck together.
  • Bookends: The 12th Doctor, River, Ankha, Ken Masters, Isabelle, and Shantae, having all appeared in the first Arena, come back for the last Arena of the second season.
    • Likewise, Taffy, Racheal, River again, Renamon, Felicia, and Kid Buu from the 13th Arena return for this one.
    • The climaxes of the 13th and this episode involve using a volcano to finish off the villain of the episode.
  • Boom, Headshot!: Blitz kills Morbius, Toriel, and Miia this way after being hired by Frieza.
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Nicole uses her son Gumball's "WHAT THE WHAT?!" phrase after Frieza teleports away from her attack.
  • Break Them by Talking: Heart spends the first part of the fight taunting Frieza, hoping that it would make him lose his cool.
  • Broken Record: In Valence's team introduction, Jenny and Curly glitch out, leading to them only making out and grinding each other.
  • Broke Your Arm Punching Out Cthulhu: Heart manages to defeat Frieza in the final chapter, but one of his arms got singed by one of Frieza's Death Beam during the fight.
  • The Bus Came Back: The theme of this Arena is that all the contestants this time are all characters that have been in a previous Arena. Two of whom haven't been seen since the very first Arena. Grand Gosei also makes his return after being thrown into a black hole in the 5th episode.
    • Bus Crash: And of the contestants, 5 of them get killed during the Bloodbath, two of them immediately when it begins.
  • Call-Back When Vegeta chews out Goku for wanting Cell to get stronger, he recalls how Gohan fought a clone of Cell last week.
  • Captain Ersatz: Goku takes notice of the similar designs of Mewtwo and Frieza, with him thinking that there's two of Frieza with him and Vegeta.
  • Characters Dropping Like Flies: Characters were already getting killed off at a rapid pace in the second chapter, but the deaths rise exponentially once Frieza begins his slaughter of the remaining contestants. It's to the point that it's the second episode to only have 5 chapters.
  • Chronic Backstabbing Disorder: When Frieza and Blitz have Heart cornered on the volcano, Frieza kills Blitz before they have killed Heart first. This ends up backfiring on Frieza when Heart's able to last long enough for his plan to work and kill the tyrant.
  • C-List Fodder: The 12th Doctor and Ernesti Echevailer, two characters that were only in one episode each and who were the first to die in those episodes, are the first two immediate deaths of the Bloodbath.
  • Clothing Damage: Shantae and Sarah's clothing gets torn apart while they were fighting in the Bloodbath.
    • Taffy's clothing gets reduced to tatters during the Golden Frieza event.
    • During the Replenishment, the Deathclaw slashes at Nicole's shirt, which exposes her breasts.
  • Collateral Damage: Sisu gets obliterated from a wayward ki blast that came from the fight between Goku and Perfect Cell.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Blitz attempts to kill Kid Buu while he's sleeping in their team introduction. Not that he gets the chance to or that it would have done anything anyway, but points for trying.
    • Vegeta kills Perfect Cell with his Big Bang Attack while Cell's distracted from listening to Goku's story.
  • Continuity Cavalcade: As this Arena is meant to be a Milestone Celebration of the Silverscale Arena, there are loads of references to past events and locations from the previous Arenas.
  • *Click* Hello: When Heart manages to get to the top of the volcano, he hears a clicking sound behind him. It's Blitz, who had run out of bullets in his gun.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Aries receives one of the most brutal deaths in the series when Golden Frieza grabs her by the jaws and splits her in half.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: To call the fight between Golden Frieza and everyone else in the third chapter anything short of a massacre would be extremely generous.
  • Curse Cut Short: When one of Mora's horns gets chipped by Frieza's Death Beam, she yells out "SON OF A-" before it cuts back to Shantae.
    • When Blitz's bullet manages to hit Curly's gun, she can only say "OH SHI-" before she and the gun explodes.
    • When Blitz realizes that Frieza's going to kill him, he goes "SHIIIIIIIIIII-" before he gets blown up.
  • Devoured by the Horde: When Morbius activates his Final Smash, it summons a horde of bats to drain the blood out of anyone it catches, which happens to Guts and Maid Marian.
  • Didn't See That Coming: While Nicole knew that Frieza was very powerful, what she wasn't expecting was for Frieza to evade her attack by teleporting away from her.
  • Dirty Coward: In the final chapter, Nicole accuses Blitz of being a sell-out by working for Frieza. To which Blitz retorts that he's just trying to survive.
  • Disappointed in You: The name of Nicole’s Final Smash is "I'm Not Mad, I'm Disappointed". When she uses it on the Deathclaw, she gives the beast such a severe Death Glare that it leaves the creature a whimpering mess.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Throughout the Arena, Nicole keeps gazing at Toriel's body.
  • Do Not Touch the Funnel Cloud: When the remaining contestants get trapped in the center of a hurricane, none of the debris kills anyone. It's only when they get sucked into the wind is when they get killed. Frieza knocking a lot of them into the hurricane is what causes a huge chunk of those deaths in the third chapter.
  • Dope Slap: Toriel gives one to Nicole after she attacks Heart out of the blue.
  • Double Entendre: When Miia asks her team to let her win so she can have a better life for her and her master, River (A Pokémon) assumes she means that she has a Trainer like her. Miia however, has a different idea of what "master" means...
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: In order for anyone to actually stand a chance in defeating Frieza, the wish he makes with the mini-Dragon Balls ends up leaving him unable to use either he Golden or Black forms.
  • Dude, Not Funny!: When Dan tries to get Ken to talk about "his" NFTs and divorce, Ken gets confused and tells Dan to knock it off, finding it in bad taste.
  • Dropped a Bridge on Him: During the Bloodbath, Kid Buu immediately blows up The 12th Doctor and Ernesti, Renamon gets caught in a glitch before being put out of her misery by Toriel, and Guts and Maid Marian get torn apart by Morbius' bats.
  • Evil Duo: Frieza and Blitz become this to the remaining contestants in the last two chapters.
  • Explain, Explain... Oh, Crap!: When Sisu begins talking to herself, she mentions that she should practice some more magic. Magic like that ball of energy that's heading towards her. She only notices it moments before she's obliterated.
  • Fantastic Racism: When Frieza explains to Heart why he had killed Blitz, one of the reasons listed is that he wasn't going to share the spotlight with a "lowborn".
  • Fastball Special: Nicole demands that Heart throw her right at Frieza and he obliges. All this results in is her death when Frieza dodges her attack and she hits the barrier.
  • For Want Of A Nail: Frieza's wish to be taller comes with the catch of not using his more powerful forms until he adjusts to his new body. This ends up being the key reason why Heart is able to eventually defeat him.
  • Game-Breaking Bug: A glitch has been spreading in the Arena and it ends up claiming the lives of Renamon, Sarah, and Vegeta.
  • Gasshole: Frieza ends up being the victim of this twice by Wario. The first time is in the Bloodbath where Nicole kicking Wario into Frieza and the fart Wario lets out upon impact knocks Frieza out. The second time is when the gas that emanates from Wario’s destroyed body causes Golden Frieza to cough violently, allowing the others to escape.
  • Gender Bender: Mewtwo in this Arena is a female, despite the Mewtwo that appeared in a previous Arena being male.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Golden Frieza grabs Cammy by the leg and tosses her into Ken, where they're knocked into the hurricane and uses Blitz as a flail late into the third chapter.
  • Groin Attack: It’s implied Cammy killed a Cock Demon by splitting it in half.
    • Dan defeats Grim by punching him straight down there.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Shirou ends Sarah's agony by slicing her in half.
    • Golden Frieza does this to Aries vertically. Bare handed.
  • Head Crushing: Nicole finishes the Deathclaw off by stomping on its skull.
  • History Repeats: The 12th Doctor and Ernesti the first to die in the Arena again.
    • Frieza kills Wario the same way he killed Krillin on Namek. It also doubles as a reference to Wario's death from being blown up in the 10th Arena.
  • Hope Spot: After Frieza gets blinded by pieces of River getting into his eyes, Curly then unloads shells onto him, which makes him flinch. This gives Nicole and Toriel hope that she can stand a chance. Before she can go for a headshot however, Blitz fires a well placed bullet into her gun, which causes it and her to explode.
  • Horrifying the Horror: Grim ends up struck with fear and dropping his cleaver in shock after witnessing Kid Buu's destructive power.
  • Hypocrite: Nicole chews out Heart for thinking of a plan that relies on the volcano having enough power to launch him into the barrier. Her plan however was just "Have Heart launch her at Frieza and attack him", which had a lot of holes in it even if it did work (Which it didn’t).
  • I Have Boobs, You Must Obey!: In the fourth chapter, Toriel tries to stop Nicole from recklessly charging in and attacking Frieza. Nicole only agrees to stay with Toriel when she says she’ll let Nicole suck her tits if she stays.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Dan tries to get Ken to talk about NFTs and his divorce, not knowing that the Ken he met last time was an impostor.
  • Interrupted Intimacy: When Shantae realizes that Jenny and Curly glitched out during their makeout session, Isabelle gets them to snap out of it by blowing an airhorn.
  • In-Universe Catharsis: Vegeta admits that destroying Cell felt satisfying and admits it would have felt better if he had gotten to break his back.
  • Involuntary Dance: Frieza, Racheal, and Ankha get forced into a Jackass stunt where they're forced to dance while the floor is electrocuting them.
  • Karma Houdini Warranty: After spending most of its appearances horrifically eating several contestants and no one being able to stop it, the Cock Demons fail to eat anyone when they show up in this episode. The first one gets killed by a recently enraged Cammy in what is implied to be a very gruesome death. And the second one manages to get beaten by Dan Hibiki of all people.
  • Killed Mid-Sentence: Dracula gets crushed by the rubble of the collapsed bunker while trying to turn Isabelle into his servant.
    • Felicia lands onto a pit of spikes while trying to assure Lola that cats always land on her feet after Lola accidentally causes Felicia to fall off a cliff.
    • Mora gets a Death Beam straight through her heart while she's boasting about dealing with hurricanes all the time.
  • Kill It with Fire: Golden Frieza's aura is enough to melt Jenny's body into molten slag. And when her body's dropped into the hurricane, it also causes the hurricane to light up into flames. This also kills Ankha as she was too close to the hurricane.
  • Knight of Cerebus: As soon as Goku and Vegeta are killed, Frieza wastes no time trying to kill the remaining contestants in the third chapter. The remaining two chapters have the surviving contestants avoiding and trying to come up with a plan to kill him.
  • The Knights Who Say "Squee!": Chroma gets very excited when she discovers that she's working with one of her personal heroes, Captain America and hugs him as soon as they meet. The Soldier has a similar reaction when he discovers he's working with some American patriots.
  • Land Mine Goes "Click!": When Mora's group is searching for (an already dead) Sarah, Taffy seems to step on a landmine. However, she ends up being okay since it was a confetti mine. The worst that happens is that Mora gets some confetti into her eyes.
  • Locked Outof The Loop: Ken is completely confused about Dan trying to get him to talk about NFTs and "his" divorce, since the Ken Dan last met was an impostor.
    • Perfect Cell is taken aback by Goku’s Super Saiyan Blue transformation, but then tries to learn about how Goku got it. Before Goku can say anything however, Vegeta comes in and obliterates him.
  • Ludicrous Gibs: When River attempts to escape from the Replenishment, she ends up jumping into a puddle of prune juice. The sheer amount of gastric pain causes her to bloat and then explodes, which splatters the remaining contestants there, including Frieza.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: When Jenny gets chased by Chun-Li and Cammy, she activates her "panic button", which has her fire a lot of missiles. Cammy manages to avoid them, but Chun-Li isn't so lucky.
  • Marshmallow Hell: Chroma subjects this to Captain America when she hugs him. He considers it more dangerous than the Hulk is.
  • Mercy Kill: When Renamon and Sarah get caught by a glitch, Toriel and Shirou end their agony early by killing them.
    • Mewtwo considers killing Isabelle by crushing her with rubble as opposed to serving Darcula this.
  • Mythology Gag: Once again a Dragon Ball villain wants to use the Dragon Balls to grow a few inches taller. Unlike Commander Red however, he does get his wish.
  • Neck Lift: Golden Frieza grabs Rachael by the neck with his tail and throws her into the air before firing several Death Beams into her.
  • Nerf: Frieza receives on in the story when he can’t use his Golden or Black forms after wishing to become taller, since he needs to get adjusted to his new body. This becomes a plot point as it gives the remaining characters a chance to actually kill Frieza.
  • No Body Left Behind: Vegeta's Big Bang Attack completely obliterates Perfect Cell's body.
    • Kid Buu's ki-ball vaporizes both Goku and Shantae.
    • Golden Frieza manages to disintegrate Kid Buu, The Soldier, and Wario's bodies when he kills them.
    • Nicole and Frieza get vaporized in the final chapter when they hit the barrier.
  • No Holds Barred Beat Down: Late into the third chapter, Golden Frieza decides to lay a brutal beating onto everyone he can find.
  • No-Sell: After Goku goes into Super Saiyan Blue mode, Perfect Cell attempts to punch Goku in his jaw, but it has no effect.
  • Not Distracted by the Sexy: When the Soldier notices Taffy and Miia having sex, he tells them to stop with the public displays of affection since he believes that this Arena is war.
  • Oh, No... Not Again!: Tiamat's first line has her roaring in fury "NOT AGAIN!".
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Dan actually admits that he’s way out of his depths for once after he managed to survive the Golden Frieza event in chapter 3. Though he quickly goes back to boasting about how great his skills are.
  • Off with His Head!: When Heart turns to Cricket to see if she can fly anyone out, he's horrified to discover that Golden Frieza had already decapitated her.
    • Frieza knocks off Dan's head with his tail after Dan excessively taunts him.
  • Oh, Crap!: Perfect Cell panics for a moment about seeing Goku's Super Saiyan Blue transformation, though he quickly tries to use it to his advantage by getting Goku to talk about how he got it.
  • One-Winged Angel: As soon as Frieza realizes that the Saiyans are dead, he transforms into Golden Frieza and begins his rampage on everyone else. And NONE of the characters can do anything to him while he's in that state.
  • Patriotic Fervor: Buddhe’s team is composed of American patriots, with it leaning on the positive side. Oh and the Postal Dude's on that team too.
  • The Peeping Tom: During the first night, it seems at first like Wario's doing some lookout with a telescope, but it turns out he's spying on Felicia masturbating. Ankha calls him out on his behavior.
  • Pre-Mortem One-Liner: When Lola pulls out a Basketball, before she throws it at the Postal Dude, she says "Don't mean to dunk on your tastes, BUT..." before throwing the basketball, which knocks him out.
    • After Golden Frieza kills a few of the contestants, he taunts the others by asking them one chilling question:
Frieza: "Let's play a game everybody. Who can stand up to me before you crumble before the despair that is... Golden Frieza?"
  • Precision F-Strike: Shortly after Golden Frieza makes his appearance, the narration makes it clear that Frieza is not messing around anymore:
Golden Frieza had hit the scene and he wasn't taking any FUCKING prisoners.
  • Punch Catch: In the final battle, Frieza attempts to stab through Heart's head with his hand, but Heart manages to catch it.
  • Retcon: This episode reveals that the Ken in the 18th and 19th Arenas was an impostor, despite how those previous Arenas treated that Ken as the same one as from the first episode.
  • Rocks Fall, Everyone Dies: Golden Frieza's attack on the remaining contestants ends up leaving only a quarter of the total roster remaining by the end of the third chapter.
  • Rule of Three: The glitch in the Arena appears once in each of the first three chapters and gets three people killed, one in each chapter.
  • Say My Name: Frieza damns Heart's name in pure rage when he gets defeated by him.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Everyone in the foggy woods flees upon seeing the sight of the Ice Cream Bunny.
    • River manages to find a water hole to hide in during the Golden Frieza fight and sits out the remainder of it.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: After the third chapter, Nicole wants to fight Frieza head on. However, she spends most of the remaining two chapters away from Frieza. And when it seems like she might actually get to fight him, he just teleports away and she gets vaporized by the Barrier.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: When Sarah's clothes get torn up in her fight with Shantae, she opts to strip down nude.
  • Ship Tease: When Heart begins thinking about his home, he goes into particular features about Pero-Pero. This makes him question if he's developing a crush on her.
  • Skewed Priorities: Blitz and Dan question using the Dragon Balls just so he could be taller, though Blitz knows to keep it in his head while in the company of the tyrant.
  • Shout-Out: Nicole demands that Heart lets her go, thinking that Frieza's a walking that-thing-I-keep-in-my-drawer.
  • Skewed Priorities: Discussed between Dan and Heart and Blitz in his inner thoughts when they watch Frieza use a set of mini Dragon Balls to make himself 5 centimeters taller.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: While the glitch that was spreading stops being brought up after the third chapter and only killed three people, one of those victims was Vegeta. And as soon as Frieza realizes that both him and Goku are dead, it allows him to go on his slaughter of most of the contestants seemingly unopposed for the rest of the Arena.
  • Spanner in the Works: Wario becomes one posthumously when the gas that comes out of him when he explodes distracts Golden Frieza long enough so that the remaining contestants can get away from the tyrant.
  • Suspiciously Specific Denial: The narration of Nicole's introduction has her mention that her true intentions are to prove that she’s the strongest and show her insecurities who's boss. And it's totally not because she's panicking about how her husband is stronger than her now. Shirou even smells the denial that's emanating off her.
  • Take That, Audience!: After Golden Frieza reduces the roster down to 12, Baskerra reminds the audience that the Arena DOESN'T CARE FOR YOU. Especially when someone puts someone like Frieza into the mix.
  • Team Killer: It happens several times in the first and third chapters. In the first chapter:
    • Blitz attempts to kill Kid Buu while he’s sleeping so he can prove he's in control of his life. But before he can try, Kid Buu wakes up and ends up killing The 12th Doctor and Ernesti. Not that Kid Buu was a team player to begin with.
    • When Morbius activates his Final Smash, Guts ends up being one of his victims.
    • In the third chapter:
    • Lola accidentally causes Felicia to fall into a pit of spikes when she's unable to slow down.
    • And Frieza kills Mewtwo by making her blow up when she tries to attack him after going through his Death Ball.
  • Tempting Fate: When Miia doesn't see Frieza or Blitz, she thinks they lost them. She then has a bullet fired by Blitz go through her hair.
  • Thanks for the Mammary: When Golden Frieza blows away several contestants into the hurricane, Nicole manages to grab Toriel’s bosom, with their combined weight dragging them to the ground. This ends up saving their lives.
  • Theme Music Power-Up: In the climax of the final chapter, Jump, Kick! Tail Smash! plays during the fight.
  • They Killed Kenny Again: The fate of every contestant here except for Heart.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: Cammy face palms when she discovers that aside from Chun-Li, her other two teammates are Dan and Ken, who last they supposedly met, was a depressed wreck.
  • Too Fast to Stop: Lola's wish to become so fast no can catch her results in her being unable to control her speed, leading to her crashing into Shirou, where she falls unconscious.
  • Torso with a View: Frieza kills Jenny by shoving his hand into her chest and burning her body.
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: Lola pulls out a basketball to stop the Postal Dude from playing the worst of Limp Bizkit on a radio, which was torturing several contestants with the noise.
  • Villain Forgot to Level Grind: As Goku notes, Perfect Cell has been slacking on his training while in Hell. To the point that when Goku goes Super Saiyan Blue, Cell can't even make him flinch by punching him.
  • Villain Song: In the second half of the third chapter, when Frieza begins his slaughter of the contestants, it's accompanied by Frieza's theme in Dragon Ball Kai, "Only a Chilling Elegy".
  • Villain Teamup: Frieza hires Blitz to take out the remaining competitors after learning about Blitz's assassination skills.
  • We ARE Struggling Together: In the Team Introductions, Baskerra's team has Grim and the Deathclaw attacking each other. And with Eboness the Eternal's team, Heart gets attacked by Morbius and Guts gets attacked by the Xenomorph.
  • Wham Episode: The third chapter has Frieza go on a rampage and kill most of the remaining contestants. By the end of it, him and 11 other contestants remain.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: When Frieza and Blitz have Heart cornered, Frieza kills Blitz since only one of them can win and he believes he can kill Heart on his own.
  • You Monster!: Curly calls Frizea a bastard after he kills Jenny.
  • You Shall Not Pass!: Dan decides to sacrifice himself by distracting Frieza and Blitz by showing them his moves so the remaining contestants can run to the volcano. It doesn’t last long.

Your Winner: Heart (Eboness the Eternal's pick)
