• Salvaged Story: Kid Buu, after spending his last appearance only sleeping and not only dying first, but in a way that shouldn't have affected him at all, starts the Bloodbath of this episode by immediately killing two people, surviving the Bloodbath and dying in a more fitting matter for him.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character: The 12th Doctor and Ernesti Echevalier, two contestants that had previously only been in one episode where they were also the first ones to die in their respective episodes, return for this one. So do they get any further limelight in this episode? Nope. Instead, they're the first ones to get killed off yet again by a just awakened Kid Buu, making their inclusions feel more like C-List Fodder than anything else.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: The idea of this episode being that every character chosen was a previous contestant at some point could have led to some interesting interactions between the contestants. Unfortunately the concept gets ruined by how characters in this die in a very rapid pace. And the idea gets firmly murdered once Frieza slaughters a good chunk of the remaining contestants in chapter three, with the last two chapters focusing on the surviving contestants trying to find a way to stop him.
