• Ulysses destroys the Giant Cyclops while rescuing his son, Telemachus, and Zatrian siblings Numinor and Yumi from the cult which plan to sacrifice them. This incurs the wrath of the Gods of Olympus, who sentence Ulysses to "travel among unknown stars", with everyone on board his spaceship except himself, Telemachus, Yumi and a robot named Nono placed in suspended animation. ^note In one episode, Ulysses has to reset the clock which regulates time in the Universe and asks his ship's onboard computer precisely when they entered the zone where the clock is located. The answer given ("31st Century, 6808th day") is consistent with the year being 3018 or 3019, depending on whether you believe the 31st Century starts in 3000 or 3001. (Ulysses 31)
