Main Story

    open/close all folders

     Beginnings Arc
  • Destiny Comes Knocking:
    • Izuku's three-layered quick thinking. First, he (unintentionally) hides Eri in the last place Overhaul would look through: a big pile of dirty laundry. Secondly, he pretends to sleep while wearing a headset so it is more believable that he can sleep through the Yakuzas breaking in. Lastly, he turns his phone's recording on and puts it somewhere hidden so neither the Yakuza boss nor his goons notice that they are being recorded, giving Midoriya evidence to hand to the police, despite Overhaul's Quirk erasing any trace of forced entry.
    • Eri gives her testimony to Naomasa with Izuku's encouragement. Considering that she is still an abused Shrinking Violet, and she tells the detective the full story, which makes Izuku close to vomiting, it is a big step for her.

  • Set In Stone: When Izuku tries to figure out how to save Kei, he realizes that he is still carrying the tranquilizer gun he was using for Eri's Quirk training. With a single shot at the robber's back, he's out cold before he can try to use Kei on Izuku.

  • Mistakes of the Past:
    • Fatgum and All Might investigates Aldera Middle School about Quirk discrimination, which was difficult due to the school being all tight-lipped, until one teacher who was sympathetic to Izuku (under a promise of anonymity) spills out the truth, which gives the Pro Heroes the key to bringing more forces for a more formal and thorough investigation, which results in the arrest of the principal and most of the teachers.
      • While Bakugo is under thin ice in U.A., he is not expelled, much to Ochako's anger. But Toshinori counter-argued that if he did, she won't have the opportunity to "spar" with him, only asking her to "don't hurt him too much".

     Peaceful Days Arc
  • Into The Woods: Some of the kids fighting Grimms in an attempt to reach the kidnapped Izuku:

  • Shorts 5: Kioku manages to use her Quirk to teach Yami languages and basic manners immediately.

  • Shorts 7: Kiba Vs Kai. The vampire girl has met her match, and it's a 40-foot Hydra. When Kiba is defeated, it's because Izuku told them to quit before someone gets seriously injured.
    • Kai tosses a tree at Kiba, which she immediately counters by tossing a giant rock toward the tree, splitting it in half before hitting Kai.
    • Kai stomps the ground hard, causing Kiba to lose her footing before stepping on her, but Kiba managed to stop his feet by using all four of her limbs.
    • When Kai thought he won by stomping Kiba deep into the ground, she silently dug around Kai, popping out behind the Kaiju boy and climbing on his back, which he retaliates by slamming his back to the ground, forcing her to let go.
    • When Kai caught Kiba with his mouth, she hold it to stop it from closing while punching his upper jaw repeatedly.
    • Kai gives one last strike by flying high in the air, with Kiba still in his mouth, before spitting her out downward, causing her to crashland, creating a small crater.

  • Uravity's Cowl: Izuku and Ochako figured out Full Cowling way earlier than canon. To test her new power, Ochako decides to fight multiple kids (Kai, Kiba, Sansan and Fu) at the same time.

     Eri's Choice Arc
  • Hard Choices: Even though the D.O.C representative pushes Izuku's Chronic Hero Syndrome button, he did not succumb to it and insists that the deal is Eri's decision and it must be an informed one.

  • One Step Away From The Past:
Izuku: I wonder how the public would feel about you refusing my terms though. [...] Because honestly, the reason you wouldn't be able to agree with them, is if you had some kind of ulterior motive. And I wonder how the people would react to that ulterior motive getting in the way of helping people in need.
    • When Eri is sleeping through anesthetic gas, she is facing Nightmare!Eri, the embodiment of her trauma. But Izuku's words of encouragement allow the unicorn girl to summon Dream!Eri, an embodiment of her courage (in the form of what her adult form could be, with doctor's attire) and vanquish Nightmare!Eri.
Nightmare!Eri: You can't be saved Eri! You're mine!
Dream!Eri: Your lies and mean words can't hurt anyone anymore. Eri's too strong. She's a strong, brave girl now.

     Bad Omen Arc
  • Shorts 9: Now that Fu has Kyosei, he is an even match for Kiba. The three test each other in 2v1 combat that lasts for two hours.
    • For both's first times, Fu manages to dodge Kiba due to Kyosei's enhanced senses and toss her to a wall.
    • Despite Fu and Kyosei's barrage of attacks, Kiba still stood her ground.
    • Kiba grabs both of Kyosei-Fu's fists before kicking him in the chest, pushing him to the wall without his arms.
    • When Kyosei-Fu swings lots of tentacles to restrain her, Kiba tears them off before punching more of them as he approaches Kyosei-Fu, then biting his neck to drink his blood once she got close, restoring her.
  • Shorts 10: The amount of work that Izuku must do to just feed the kids by himself, and the steps shown are just for breakfast. He has to do this three times a day.

     Vs 1-A Arc
  • Roaring Revenge: Team A (Bakugo, Mineta, Sato, and Koji) must calm down rampaging Kai without injuring him for their trial.
    • Bakugo deals with the Grimms singlehandedly while the rest goes after Kai.
      • As it turns out, it is intentional. After learning that they were going to U.A., Kioku decided to tell the participating kids about Bakugo and what he did to Izuku, so whoever gets to fight him would not hesitate, in addition to Yami ordered the Grimms to focus on the explosive teen.
    • After hearing that Kai's destroying the (fake) city because a villain told him to or else they'll hurt his dad, Mineta immediately asked Koji to ask the birds to scout the city.
    • Kai delivers a My Name Is Inigo Montoya before free falling on top of Bakugo.
Kai: My name is Kai Midoriya. You bullied my father Izuku. [...] So I need to squish you now.

  • A Battle of Fire, Ice, and a Dragon: Team B (Todoroki, Aoyama, Yaoyorozu, and Tsuyu) must calm Netsu down by convincing him that they are the heroes while stopping the horde of Grimms.
    • Aoyama covers Todoroki, shooting the other Grimms as the dual-hair teen and Netsu teaming up to deal with the wyvern Grimm.
    • Just as the Wyvern Grimm recovers from a falling iceberg and is about to lunge at the two girls on the team, Yaoyorozu quickly creates a flare gun and fires it onto its eyes.
    • Before it can lunge again, Todoroki drops another iceberg on top of the Wyvern Grimm's head.
    • Netsu finishes off the Wyvern Grimm by going supernova, creating a giant wall of fire that roasts it into nothing but scorched earth and black smoke.

  • 2 V 4: Team C (Ochako, Shinso, Kyoka & Shoji) must defeat the team of Fu & Kyosei.

  • Queen Of Eternal Darkness:
    • Team D (Tokoyami, Kirishima, Ojiro & Hagakure) vs Kiba.
      • The Team defeats the Nuckelavee Grimm by stunning it through rapid Combination Attack before Dark Shadow chomps its head off.
      • Kiba punches Kirishima so hard he went through several walls, had his Hardened chest dented, and gives him a minor concussion.
      • Kiba beats Dark Shadow with Hardened Kirishima before tossing him to Hagakure.
      • Dark Shadow manipulates Tokoyami into feeling enough anger to boost itself into its Berserk form, proving to be an even match with Kiba.
      • Kiba is lunging at Ojiro to refuel her Quirk with his blood when Hagakure protects him by using her Flash Special Attack, blinding Kiba long enough for Dark Shadow to punch her down into a crater.
    • When Bakugo shows up and threatens Izuku, Ochako immediately blocks the blonde teen and Nezu reminds him that not only he is on thin ice for getting out of the infirmary without Recovery Girl's permission, he is threatening an honored guest of U.A.
    • When the other students keep questioning Izuku for his Quirkless-ness, Iida, Tsuyu, and Ochako jump to defend him.

  • April Acid: Team E (Iida, Sero, Kaminari & Ashido) must save Sansan from Grimms while trying to calm her down.
    • Kaminari only has one shot before he's out for the count, so Iida and Sero tag team by rounding up the Beringels before Sero tosses Kaminari to the center of the gorilla Grimms so Kaminari can release his Quirk in the middle of the rounded up Grimms.
    • Inspired by Ashido's speech, Sansan decided to go Off the Rails and singlehandedly defeat the Beowulves.

  • An Overdue Talk:
    • After he snaps about how big deal Izuku is now compared to the last time he saw him, Aizawa gives Bakugo a "Reason You Suck" Speech.
"You lived in your own little world in which everyone told you were a king, and where Quirkless people like Izuku were nothing and deserved to be discriminated against. But now that that world is gone, you're left in the real world struggling to figure out which way's up and which way's down."
    • When Bakugo addresses him as "Deku", Izuku says that Bakugo must address him as "Midoriya", showing him that he has grown a spine since the last time.
      • When Bakugo threatens him, Izuku threatens back by pointing out that he didn't tell anyone how Bakugo had told him to kill himself, but if he assaults him, he will expose the secret to the world, ending any chances of him becoming a Pro Hero.
"Bakugo, if you do anything out of line, there will be consequences. And if you lose it, and attack me, then I'm telling them about what you said, and I'll be done with you for good."

  • Red and Green: After hearing Izuku's life story and receiving his permission/blessing to befriend Bakugo, Kirishima swore to Izuku that he will change the explosive teen for the better.
"Hell yeah! If meeting you has taught me anything, just doing something or thinking some way about a person because of what everyone else says, is bullshit! And I'm going to help make Bakugo a better person, whether he wants to be or not!"

     The Fall Arc
  • Q&A: Nobody really notices it due to him using Screen Name, but Izuku got a Villain Respect from Stain.
Bloodcurdle (Stain): *After hearing how Izuku saves Kei's life* That's what a true hero does.

  • Short 11: Kiba vs Ken using Four Arms form. Both of them aim to be the No. 1 Pro Hero and believe themselves to be the best there is, but Ken receives a Humble Pie when he tastes his first defeat from Kiba.
    • Four arms Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs Kiba into the ground only for her to Shoryuken him on the jaw from the hole.
    • Kiba manages to push Four Arms while he Brawler Locks her and punches her face with his lower arms.
    • Four Arms throws chunks of cliffs, only for Kiba to pin him on said cliffs and bite him, latching on even as Four Arms slams his back on the cliff.

  • New Hobbies:
    • Fukunoko tries archery for the first time with Kei, and for someone who wields a bow for the first time, she managed to get a bulls-eye on the first shot.
      • When she starts missing, Fukunoko realizes that her hoodie hinders her vision, so she instinctively unzips it and starts hitting the target again.

  • Panic: Fukunoko volunteers to cook for the other kids in the mansion after Izuku falls sick.
"I... wanted to help. You need someone who can cook right? Well, I know how! I-If that's alright with everyone!"

  • The Return: Fu, Kyosei, Ken as Four Arms, and Nara as Arctiguana teaming up to stop the other kids from dog-piling Izuku.

     The Cavalry
  • Iida subtly puts Mineta on paperwork duty to ensure that the grape-haired lech is away from the kids and being kept an eye on by the more diligent students.

     Shorts 14
  • Kirishima Vs. Ojiro. Kiba initially dismisses the fight by believing it to be a Curb-Stomp Battle in Kirishima's favor and even wonders how Ojiro even managed to enter the Hero Course with his Quirk, before proving her wrong by a mix of martial arts and acrobatics, giving Krishima a ring-out.

    Shorts 15
  • While initially shocked and amazed with Kiba & Nara's XLR8 form outspeed him at the start, Iida shows the two OPCs that a race is as much as endurance match as it is a speed match, managing to stay in the track in 39 minutes with a total of running 653 laps, compared to Kiba and Nara who, while outspeed-ing him at the start, got outpaced and tapped out at 14 minutes (87 laps) and 19 minutes (300 laps).
    • Points for Nara who, after her transformation timed out, decided to keep running and checking her pace until her countdown is over instead of giving up.

     Exploring Pain
  • Yami stopping a girl from being mugged. Bonus point that he took a pacifist route to do it.
  • Eraserhead stealthily uses his Quirk on the rampaging Rikiya just in time for Mirko to deliver the finishing blow.
  • Yami immediately runs toward the pro heroes, helping them find the trapped civilians under the rubbles with his his Quirk, while Amai uses her Quirk to calm the survivors down.

     Finding Hope
  • Yami and Amai save a kid from being bullied.

     Here Comes A New Challenger
  • Fu and Kyosei Vs. a child assassin named Nise.
    • Fu, having experience pretending to be frail and weak from spending years being Street Urchin with Kiba, allows him to know that Nise's Nervous Wreck is just an act.
    • After being verbally pushed to the corner, Nise immediately decapitates Fu, only for her suddenly be wrapped by black tentacles as Fu's head immediately grows back.
Nise: Grrrrrr! How the fuck are you still alive?!
Fu: Firstly, language. Secondly, you said it yourself. You were looking for the place where the demons lived. *Kyosei deploy his Bio-Armor* Well, you found it.
    • In their short time fighting, Fu managed to figures out how Nise's Quirk works, including sending Kyosei's Combat Tentacles to her, letting her chop it to determine her invisible limbs' range.
    • Fu rips his own head and tosses it away alongside Kyosei, just in time for Nise to release Multi-Directional Barrage, being too Blinded by Rage to notice that the body she destroys already lacks a head and gives him time to regenerate. And when she thinks she's won, Fu cuts one of her horns, disabling half of her Vectors.
    • Fu finishes the fight by tossing a log to Nise, and slamming her to a tree when the tossed log's shattered pieces hit her face.
  • Now that they are aware that someone has sent a Child Soldier to kill Izuku, The Midoriyas are livid.
Izuku: On top of increasing security...I also have to figure out why she came here in the first place.
Inko: I would also be interested to know what kind of sick person would send a child to kill someone.
Izuku: Oh don't worry mom. When I find out who did this, I'll do what's within my power, to make sure they pay.
    • Do note that Izuku's anger bubbled up despite just eating Amai's Calm Candy. Yes, Izuku is so angry, he overpowers an Emotion Bomb.

     Aegis
  • Yami worked together with Shiruku to create protective gear for Izuku. The result is Aegis Robe, a living Black Cloak with a hood that hides his face in shadow when Izuku puts it on, built-in Spider-Sense, and white armor plates that grow to protect him when it detects incoming attacks, which is proven effective when it covering Izuku's face with the plate in seconds just as an MLA Agent shot Izuku mid-conference with an explosive bullet to the face.

     Security Plan
  • Kirishima vs The Hound. While it is short with The Hound as the victor, Kirishima proves himself too tough to beat that the elite Grimm has to weaken him by drowning him to get any chance to win.
  • With the help of Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Ochako, Izuku creates four layers of protection for the Midoriya Foundation, using the Grimm army appropriately to the danger level.
Izuku: Ok, so. The security levels are, essentially, measuring how bad a situation is, and what means we should take to defend ourselves.
Iida: It's important to have things like this established! Otherwise, you could find yourself overdoing your security, and getting people hurt unnecessarily!

     The B Team
  • Kamakiri and Monoma, with the former's Quirk, taking down two Sabyrs at the same time, and later team up to kill 5 King Taijitus.
  • The moment Yui tells the group that her Quirk works on the Ravagers (meaning that the creatures are not living beings), Yanagi immediately uses hers to compress the bat Grimms into a large ball before Kendo squishes them in one clap.
  • Under Kendo's leadership, the 1-B class beats a horde of Grimms that corners them through various tag-team attacks.
  • Tetsutetsu taking a Manticore's claw swipe meant for Rin, grabbing its claw to keep it from running away as Rin finishes it off.
  • Just as a group of Sabyrs is about to lunge at Kendo, Yanagi stops them mid-air before Manga blast them off with a "Kaboom!" onomatopoeia.
  • Despite losing four classmates to The Hound, Monoma rallies the other students to keep going.
"Come now! Do not despair my friends! We are the great class 1-B of U.A.! The greatest class U.A. has ever seen! We will get through this!"
  • Leaping off Tetsutetsu's back, Kaibara drills through a Manticore mid-air, while it tries to thrash him off and is shot at by another Manticore.
  • Shishida rips a Geist off its rock armor with his bare hands, quoting All Might as he's being repeatedly hit with its giant fists.
    "Plus! Ultra!"
  • While they fail in the end, Class 1-B managed to get through three out of four levels of Midoriya Mansion's security system.

     B Team Out!

     Nya
  • A mysterious Cat-Girl named Sori singlehandedly beating the Level 1 & 2 Grimms and The Hound to boot.
    • She slays multiple Griffons by slashing then while hopping off their backs.
    • When a group of Boarbatusks charges at her, she grabs one by its tusks and leaps up, causing it to flip upside down, before slicing its guts out, and slaughtering the rest.
    • After dodging fireballs from a pair of Manticores, she impales one's neck with her claw before axe-kicking another's head off.
    • She tears a gap into a Blind Worm's gut before jumping in, Kill It Through Its Stomach.
    • She beat a Goliath in under 2 minutes.
    • After a struggle, she kills a Hound by tearing its head off before stomping it splat.

     Feline Frenzy
  • Sori beating Level 3 & 4 Grimms and more Hounds
    • She claws Sea Feilong's mask off with her feet's claw while clinging onto it as it tries to thrash her off it underwater.
    • It tears a Nuckelavee's waist by sinking her claws there as it does its Spin Attack before chopping its neck off like an axe to a tree.

     Nyat What You Think
  • Even as she is battered, Sori is still able to kick Big Grimms' butt.
    • She let The Wyvern eats her as it Dive-bomb, only for her to tear it from the inside.
    • She beats one of The Hounds while surrounded by Whomping Willow's fruits by kicking the living apples to the Hounds as a distraction, before stabbing its head through its mouth as it is about to breathe fire, even if it causes the stabbing arm to be too injured for further combat.
    • She then kills another Hound by attacking it faster than it can regenerate despite having one less combat-ready appendage.
      • Points for the two Hounds for being able to work and making strategies together as a team.
  • Sansan stops and immobilizes Sori Jaga, who had singlehandedly thrashes all four security levels worth of Grimms.
  • Izuku manages to keep his mind in check against Utera Seku, the Nekonanako Foundation's representative that tries to persuade him to not sue them, by turning the table and asking them to make Sori a full-time employee under Midoriya Foundation instead.
    • Even as Utera stops being The Tease and becomes more of Honest Johns, Izuku is still able to keep up with her.
Utera: Well, I think we can come to an agreement where everyone wins. Normally we don't allow things like this. We only offer rentals for services. However, given this incident, we're more than willing to be flexible and offer up her contract. For a price.
Izuku: Considering the offense she committed and how badly it'd look if this went public, I hope this price isn't too high.
Utera: Well you have to understand, she is our most powerful fighter, and we spent years cultivating her skills, training her, feeding her the best foods and vitamins to make her the perfect warrior. So in selling her to you, we'd be losing years' worth of time and money. We can ultimately make another one, but still, you understand her value right?
Izuku: Of course. And you understand your situation, right?

I am the Bone of My Sword
  • Sai Bura's trial to become Midoriya Foundation's bodyguard:
    • In the first round, she subdues a Goliath grimm without moving nor even turning an inch by shooting an explosive sword before cutting its legs off by shooting another sword.
    • She repeats the feat against an army of Beringels that surrounds her by raining down venom-coated swords on their backs.
    • In the final round, she blocks an ambush from an invisible Hound, forcing it to reveal itself by swarming the area with flying swords. When the Hound escapes the flying swords by tossing its head out of the range, Sai immediately strike it with the explosive sword, killing it.
      • Not to mention that she quickly realizes that the third fight is a Hidden Purpose Test by noticing that The Hound has a Healing Factor and recalling that Izuku has no mention of the rule for this fight.
  • Izuku correctly theorizes that the incident that dissolves Sai's team revolves around one of them being Evil All Along and manipulating another to attack the rest and that she quit from Pro-Hero work not because of the trauma from said incident, but due to something related that has been covered up by H.P.S.C. All from guessing around the official statement from H.P.S.C. and the time gap between the incident and the day when she quits.

     School of Wrath
  • When the Shadows surround Ren & Izuku, the former backflip and starts shooting them, injuring three of them in one swoop, before dodging another's attack, stabbing it with his dagger, kicking it away then shooting it in the head, killing the shadow.
Ren: *Smoking Barrel Blowout* One down, seven to go.
  • After the harsh pep-talk by Ren, asking Izuku if he wants his children to see him broken and defeated, Izuku realizes that he cannot afford to be weak again for the children's sake, causing his eyes to go green and his body to burst out green flames that knock most of the surrounding student Shadows away, changing his outfit as his Persona, Heracles, roars and single-handedly destroys the student Shadows with his giant sword-club, while Izuku Punch Catch a student Shadow before punch it back with his summoned brass knuckles, causing it to skid across the floor.
Izuku: Weakness is not something I can afford anymore. The happiness of those close to me depends on me being strong enough to carry their burdens. So no matter, what, I'll pretend to be strong! And smash everything that tries to hurt me or my kids!
    A Shadow: Get him!
    Izuku: Smash them all! Heracles!
    Heracles: RAGHHHHHHH!
  • Izuku and Ren Vs. a teacher Shadow. First, Heracles attempted to cut through the towering Shadow's legs off, but when the teacher Shadow tries to punch Heracles off, Ren sprays it with bullets, enhanced by Arsene's dark energy. When the Shadow tries to block off the bullets with his unoccupied hand, Izuku punches the other hand away from Heracles before his Persona fully chops the Shadow's legs off, before Izuku finishes it off by sending Heracles up high before the Persona dives down, sword-club first into the teacher shadow's face, piercing it and slamming it to the ground by the momentum, leaving a Crater before it dissipates.

    Shorts 16
  • Ken (as Ripjaws) Vs. Tsuyu underwater. While Ripjaws is more powerful, Tsuyu is more patient and has more training in underwater combat. Her tactic is to stall until Ken's Quirk time-out by waiting for Ripjaws to strike first just to constantly dodge or counter him before stomping his head down to the bottom of the lake.
  • Ken (as Upgrade) can merge with Iida's Quirk, Engine, making the speedster Hero in training even faster while his Quirk didn't get overheated — even though Iida finds the new speed to be too much for him.
  • Ken Vs. Amai in Hero Tournament 11. Those who had fought against her warns Ken that he is doomed to fail:
    • On the first few rounds, Amai uses Endeavor against Ken's Edgeshot, which he initially mocks due to just beating Netsu with the same match-up, only to find himself unable to get through Amai's perfect Defend Command long enough for Amai to learn how Ken play as Endeavour before she traps him in "Zoning Hell" of rapid long-range Combos.
    • Even as Ken chooses different characters to use against Amai, she still beats him after quickly learning his playstyle with that character and occasionally changes her character to defeat him faster. She even managed to have a winning streak using Wash without even looking at the screen.
    • Frustrated, Ken turns into Upgrade and merges with the game console to fight Amai by programming himself as an broken/cheat character, with a move that instantly fills his Limit Break meter and little to no Lag Cancel. But the prospect only makes Amai excited.
Upgrade: Now that we have the best character in the game, why don't we see if you can beat me at my best?
Amai: Cheat character. Got it. Challenge accepted.
    • Not even a Broken/cheat character escapes Amai's analytic skills, even if it sounds impossible to be exploited by most players.
Amai: Ok, so he's gonna be able to super attack and break combos whenever he wants, but every time he uses that he's gonna be open for three frames.
    • Just as Ken gloat over his victory as Upgrade, Amai immediately presses rematch, wanting to fight him again.
Amai: It's not over until your Quirk runs out of time. *Fixing her clothes before giving Ken a confident smirk* So before then, I'm going to beat you.
      Ken: Ha! Bring it on!
    • Upgrade's Limit Break is a massive, screen-filling laser, making it both unblockable and undodgeable. Therefore the only option to get away is to parry it, which Ken thought impossible to be done without taking chip damage, until Amai did exactly that, twice, leaving Upgrade open for retaliation each time (not to mention that being hit by Upgrade's Limit Break charging up her own's), causing Ken to panic, making him slip even further before she drops his hp to zero with her own constant, more calculated use of Limit Break.

     Breaking The Ice
  • Yonda tears Todoroki's oath of not using his fire half to become the No.1 Pro Hero by stating that Endeavour probably wouldn't care about the specific, as long as his spawn did topple All Might from his rank.
  • Yonda "motivates" Ochako to go all out on her fight against Todoroki by Exploited his aloofness and loner behavior by painting him as The Proud Elite, lying about how he thinks a "country girl" like Ochako is no match to "the son of No.2 hero" to rile her up.

     Frozen Fury
  • Ochako Vs. Todoroki. Try as Todoroki might, he is no match for her.
    • When Todoroki sends waves of ice to encase Ochako in walls of ice, she just shatters it and sends the chunks back to him with increased speed from its gravity removed, keeping him on the defense.
    • Ochako then amps it up by retreating to the forest and raining Todoroki with trees and boulders, forcing him to build an ice dome to protect himself, pinning him down.

     Clearing the Snow
  • Yonda's conversation with Ochako. She manages to counter-argue Ochako's reservation about her tactics of using her to convince Todoroki to start using his fire half and convinces Ochako that by being the latest wielder of One For All, she is already on her way to rig the Pro-Hero ranking.
    • Then Yonda reveals that she already predicted how the entire conversation would proceed, showing Ochako the script she wrote, reminding her that she is an OPC not just because of her Quirk, but also how she uses it.

     1 A vs
  • Ojiro easily beats Nara as Humongosaur by outmaneuvering & outpacing the large transformation.
  • Ochako Vs. Netsu:
    • Using his new special move, Netsu flashbang the area, but Ochako knows Netsu's usual tactic enough to dodge his sneak attack.
    • Ochako retaliates by performing Ground-Shattering Landing and sends the rubbles toward Netsu, but his fire is hot enough to melt the rocks away.
    • Ochako then distracts him by tossing a lot of trees while she goes around with a tree for a bat, smacking Netsu into the lake, but he manages to stop himself mid-air.
    • When Netsu retaliates by spamming fireballs while erecting a Ring of Fire for protection, Ochako just dodges and waits, knowing that such a tactic would consume the oxygen around him rapidly.
  • Ashido Vs. Fu & Kyosei. The two kids create swarms of tentacles surrounding Ashido to block her vision as they hide and recover, only for Ashido to use her Acid Hurricane as she looks for them and finds them soon after, obliterating their bodies enough to force Fu to surrender. Turns out, Ashido finds them easily due to her acid dissolving Fu's flesh slower than dissolving Kyosei's slimes, therefore the burning sound lasts longer on Fu's, so she just has to keep her ears up to find them.
Fu: Huh. I really didn't think you were smart enough to do that.
Ashido: I may not be smart, but if I know one subject well, it's acid. I kinda have to or I'd be a pretty bad hero.

Getting Over It With Neito Monoma
  • Vlad sternly emphasizes the importance of paperwork and contract-reading proficiency to his class - and Bakugo.
Vlad King: Groan all you want, but signing contracts is an important part of being a hero. [...] If you don't learn how to navigate these things, then you'll end up in a horrible situation. I've heard of certain heroes being swindled out of billions of Yen from misreading contracts, so read this one carefully. Obviously, Midoriya isn't going to try and scam you, but this is just so you can get familiar with contracts.
    [...]
Bakugo: Tch! I don't need to fucking practice how to sign contracts! I'm not a fucking idiot like the rest of these dipshits! And besides I'm gonna hire someone to do all that tedious shit.
Vlad King: Not right after you graduate you not. Most heroes work as sidekicks for at least a few years before they move onto full-time hero work, in which THEY are typically the ones in charge of the paperwork. And even if you work as a hero right out of the gate, you're still going to need to work for a few years before you can grow an agency big enough to have people work for you. Yes, even All Might had to do his own paperwork for a while. But even if you could completely avoid signing contracts and put all the work on someone else, for the most important things, it's better if you do it yourself, because putting it in the hands of someone else, is a big risk, especially for someone who very easily earns the contempt of other people like you Bakugo.
  • Bakugo, believing that Izuku hasn't told anyone about his past as his bully because he thinks Izuku enjoys it more if he spills it after Bakugo becomes successful, swears to rise to become No.1 Pro-Hero even harder so people can look over his past with Izuku
  • Monoma taunts Bakugo, declaring that the explosive teen didn't intimidate him, before challenging him to a fight.
Monoma: Well well well, if it isn't no one's favorite main character.
    Bakugo: Fuck off leech!
Monoma: Now now, no need for the show, we both know what'll happen if they see even a singe on me. *chuckles* I can only imagine how scary you must have been in your prime.
Bakugo: What the fuck does that mean! I am in my prime!
Monoma: No. No, you are not. *Grins* Your prime was back in middle school. Back when you could do whatever you wanted. Back when you were surrounded by background characters and minor villains. Enablers who allowed you to think that people would like you just because you have a strong quirk. Although to be honest, no one ever really liked you did they?
  • Monoma Vs. Bakugo. Monoma, who can store 3 copied Quirks at one time, shows Bakugo that he has Rin's Scales & Tetsutetsu's Steel while fighting defensively, making him assume that Monoma is stalling until he has a chance to copy his Explosion and so fight relentlessly until both of them are exhausted, pinning Monoma to the ground, only to reveal that he was stalling for Bakugo's Grenadier Bracers to be full of his nitroglycerin sweat and had been copied Reiko's Poltergeist all along, using it on Bakugo's gauntlet to re-aim it toward him and pull the trigger pin, causing it to explode on Bakugo's face, making him fly & crashing through the training room's wall.
Monoma: Like I said Bakugo. Your quirk is amazing. You of all people are definitely a main character. But even a main character can lose to a supporting character if their story is shit.
    • Points to Bakugo for taking that explosion and still conscious.

     Field Day
  • Boys Vs. Girls tug-of-war. The Girls consist of physical powerhouses, but the boys have Kai, so Fu and Kai create a plan where Kai doesn't try to pull at all until Fu gives him a sign, while Fu lures the girls into overconfidence so when Fu tells Kai to start pulling, they'll be surprised long enough for the boys to capitalize on, winning the tug-of-war.
  • Dodge ball between team Red (Tsuyu, Kiba, Ojiro, Sansan, Netsu, and Nara) and team Blue (Fu (+Kyosei), Ochaco, Shiruku, Shoji, Tokoyami, and Ken).
    • Netsu uses his Quirk to propel the balls like rockets.
    • Kiba throws her ball in a calculated way that hits Fu in the legs after he dodges it because it ricochets from the wall behind him.
    • Nara (as XLR8) tries to feint a ball passing into a throw, but Ken, who knows how Nara thinks, quickly intercepts it.
    • Kiba smacks four balls in rapid succession to Ochako, Shoji & Ken, and Netsu manages to hit Ochako as she is too busy dodging to see it coming, while Ken manages to retaliate by hitting Kiba with his.
    • Netsu then won the game by using Solar Flare, blinding the competition as he threw the balls at the surviving Blue team members.
  • The Floor is Lava, where Sansan, Shiruku, Fu & Kyosei, Kiba, Tsuyu, Sero, Ken (as Wildmutt), Nara (as Wildvine), and Ochaco try to survive on top of the trees in the forest while trying to cause the others to fall.
    • Kiba & Shiruku team up, the former breaking the other competitor's tree and the latter pulling them with her web string while saving each other when Nara starts bombing them with Wildvine's seed bombs.
    • Ochako eliminates Sansan by using her Quirk to dash past her before touching the slime girl to increase her gravity.
    • Nara eliminates Ochako — who uses her Quirk to fly — not by bombing her, but by bombing where she is heading, causing Ochako to get knocked down by the explosion's shockwaves.
    • Fu won the competition by letting himself exposed to Kiba & Shiruku as bait, while Kyosei, using their new move, Mobile Shell, ambushes the girls from behind, grabs them, and falls off the trees, bringing them down with him.
  • Scavenger Hunt, which is like easter egg hunting, but with scores.
    • When the time starts, Sansan goes backward and gets the eggs from the event's display, which turns out to count toward her & Yonda's points.
Fu: Mina never said that they didn't count, and isn't the best place to hide something, right in plain sight?
Ashido: That's right, little guy! All those eggs counted just as much as the ones in the forest!
    • Ken is acing the competition by gathering 3 platinum eggs: one from fetching it from a swarm of Ravagers and escaping before he times out, fighting a Nuckleave as Ripjaws out of water, and flying through a bigger swarm of Ravagers as Stinkfly. And he would've gotten the 4th if not for Kiba surprising him.
  • A Ultimate Race between Iida, Ochaco, Shiruku, Kiba, and Nara.
    • The minefield. Ochako and Shiruku use their Quirk to fly or swing above the field, while Kiba is strong enough to endure the mines' explosions, letting her jump across the minefield unimpeded.
    • During the maze section, Shiruku waits for the impatient Kiba to charge through the maze, going through the holes she makes, then seals it with her webs so Nara & Iida can't go through it as well.
    • In the ice field section, Kiba (after falling through Mineta's balls-filled pit) uses Mineta's balls on her feet to stick them to the ice, allowing her to crawl through the ice field.
    • Both Nara (in XLR8 form spins around to slingshot herself) and Iida (uses Recipro Burst) manage to go from the last places into the first, blazing through both Ice Field and Lake of Pain, outspeed the Sea Feilongs.
    • Shiruku uses her web string to climb on top of a Sea Feilong's head and uses it to ride the Grimm across the lake.
    • At The Hill, Ochako clings to a tree she throws upwards and uses it as a platform for her to dash to the finish line, giving her first place.
    • At the third place, Kiba does something similar — throws a tree and rides it onto the finish line across The Hill.

     The Coming of the Guards
  • Sori first spar with Sai. While the former Pro-Hero has extensive firepower and range, the catgirl is more than capable of outspeeding her swords, dodging & kicks them away, forcing Sai to surround her with explosive swords that detonate at the same time, engulfing Sori in one big explosion. Even then, the two bodyguards are just starting.

     Taking Up The Sword
  • Sai spars against 1A one by one as she lectures them on what they did wrong.
    • Special mention to the one against Ochako. As Sai previously only fought the students by just using her Quirk and lecturing Iida about being too predictable, she shows how to feint such predictability by making Ochako assume that all Sai does is fire her swords, so the bodyguard catches her off guard by rushing forward and kicking her mid-dashing.
Sai: Rember what I said expectations? You've already seen the disadvantages of playing into a foe's expectations, but this is the advantage of setting an expectation and then defying it.

     Under Attack
  • As the Midoriyas & 1A students get blocked by the remnants of Shie Hassaikai, Todoroki, who had embraced the fire half of his Quirk, shoots it out just above the former yakuzas so they are forced to scatter.
  • Mu ended up coming in clutch twice.
    • When Gami takes control and transforms Kei into a copy of him to block the door to the training room, Mu shows up and creates a big enough doorway with his Quirk to let the Midoriyas in as Netsu keeps Gami away with his fireballs.
    • When the Goblin Nomu corners Ken, Nara & Shiruku, Mu ends up dragging it into his dimension, disintegrating it, even though it cost him his hand burned to singe.
  • Yami & Netsu Vs. the two Gamis.
    • Yami spam summons Ravagers to obscure the battlefield against one of the Gami, stalling until Gami's Quirk time out.
    • Netsu, who realizes that hurting Gami could also hurt Kei, decides to stall by just heating the room, even if the rapid decrease of the oxygen suffocates him.
  • With the help of Fu, Kyosei & Sansan, Aka managed to take control of Rhino Nomu by having Kyosei & Sansan keep it still while keeping its mouth up so Fu could cut open its tongue, the only soft part of its body, allowing Fu to throw a piece of Aka's clay-flesh into it.
  • Kai flies out of his room and starts rampaging against the villains.
    "WHO'S HURTING MY FAMILY!?"
  • As soon as Eri heals them, the Midoriyas go out and save the 1A students.
    • Just as Aoyama is about to accept his demise in Chronostasis's hand, Izuku dashes in and punches Chronostasis in the gut, launching him towards a wall!
    • Just as Ochako is about to face Rappa, Kiba charges the large man while Fu binds him with tentacles from underground, letting Kiba & Ochako finish Rappa off.
    • Just as Rikiya is about to kill Iida & Mineta, Ken, in Stinkfly form, covers Rikiya in snots before Netsu throws a fireball at the large Yakuza, engulfing him in flames due to the snots being flammable.
    • Shina cuts the Trash Trio as they chase Sato who's carrying Shoji & Sero, immediately defeating them.
    • Then there's Shinso, who isolating Deidoro away from his classmates and defeating him singlehandedly, knowing that the drunk ex-Yakuza's Quirk would make fighting the others even harder.
  • Shina changing side ended up becoming the catalyst of The Midoriyas and U.A.'s victory thanks to her Quirk:
    • Turns out, she removes Izuku's "Quirklessness", giving him a Quirk he named Repel, and also his "inexperience with Quirk" to be an Instant Expert with it, allowing him to come prepared with special attacks for his new Quirk already.
"That punch was for Eri." *Dashes towards Chronostasis* "And so are these. Piston Onslaught!"
    • Then, Shina removes Eri's own "inexperience with Quirk", letting her become more confident in using her Quirk, letting her instantly heal the injured.
    • Shina then removes Ochako's "physical limit", letting her able to use One for All 100%, beating Hood away from Kai and, with Kiba, helping All Might in beating Janemba & Ruin Nomu.
      • Just the fact that All Might singlehandedly kept Ruin Nomu's attention on him the entire invasion, effectively fighting it longer than in canon.
  • Chronostasis, after seeing that the U.A. students already healed up thanks to Eri, is about to charge into the little girl before Izuku punches him in the face, knocking him out.
Chronostasis: You! You ruin everything you little-*Knocked out*
Izuku: Never speak to my daughter like that again.
  • Shina cuts Weaver in the back, instantly defeating her and saving Aizawa.
  • Sori Vs. Hit. The two brawlers are more than a match in speed and strength, but while it took her a while, Sori managed to figure out how Hit's Quirk works and counter it by exploiting its weakness — that he cannot touch his opponent while his Quirk is on, and that it drains his stamina.
  • Sai Vs. Konashi. The bodyguard's firepower overwhelmed her alleged daughter's raw power so much that Kurogiri had to step in for them to have a chance of beating her.
    • And then the two villains are defeated by the help of both Hagakure & Shinso, with the former silently beating Kurogiri & distracting Konashi for Sai to finish her off, while the latter uses his voice changer mask to turn his voice into Shigaraki, tricking Kurogiri to responding to him, triggering his brainwashing Quirk.
  • Nemesis Nomu got sealed in ice by Todoroki before being destroyed by the triple firepower of Todoroki, Ken's Heatblast form, & Netsu.
  • Janemba is taken down by Aka-possessed Hood & Rhino Nomu and Kiba who ride on top of the latter after dropkicking Janemba away from All Might, before attaching Aka's clay-flesh into Janemba, giving Aka control over it.
Kiba: Prepare to feel the consequences for invading a queen's castle!
  • Ruin Nomu is defeated by All Might & Ochako beating it across the yard before Todoroki immobilizes its lower half with ice, letting Aka use the other Nomus to slip her clay-flesh into Ruin Nomu, controlling it.
  • Quirked!Izuku Vs. Shigaraki. A swift and curb-stomp defeat as Izuku thrusts Shigaraki crashing towards Midoriya Foundation's gate, before uppercutting him, followed by an ax kick and a knee drop, knocking him out.
Izuku: Well, you're about as unpleasant as I thought. Meaning, I have no need to hold back.

     Aftermath
  • Izuku, with the help of D.O.C., spins the narrative by making a public statement that MLA attacks the Midoriya Foundation as an act of Quirk discrimination, making an implication that supporting him is considered to be a statement against quirk discrimination, allowing him to gain public support and donation to renovate and improve Midoriya Foundation.

     Start Up
  • Chaos Energy. It's certainly a Game Changer, and its research is just scratching the surface.
    • Fractals are crystals that are designed to absorb and contain Chaos Energy. It can give its holder a random Quirk, as exemplified by Izuku suddenly shooting out a laser from his eyes when holding one.
    • Then there's Chaos Emerald, Fractal's Super Prototype. It has enough energy to create a large Pillar of Light out of a laser cannon and cause it to smoke. Oh, and enough to destroy two cities if one intentionally uses it to power a bomb.
  • Mairu Jikan, the D.O.C.'s intern discovers and researches Chaos Energy and its potential. She is also the one who creates both Fractals & Chaos Emeralds. She, who is a few years older than Izuku, impresses him enough to offer her the position of head researcher at the newly built Midoriya Foundation's Research Division.

Side Stories

     Halloween
  • Shiruku creates her own Halloween costume by combining the creepiness of spiders and the grace of Miko, complete with a small staff with a red spider design on it, earning her a perfect 30 out of 30 points in the costume competition.
  • Fukunoko goes all out in her Breath of the Wild's Link, complete with props of Master Sword, a shield, a bow with quiver, and Sheikah Slate. She even dyed her hair blonde and tied it into a short ponytail.
