This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

Yeah, there's edit wars, ignoring commented notes, whitewashing the villains, demonizing the heroes, complaining, and even a lot of straight up misplaced tropes (like Fridge Horror not going on the Fridge page). I also agree with a lock on the YMMV page.
Edited by STARCRUSHER99 on Mar 6th 2021 at 3:17:11 PM
On another note, I also need to request two mod reverts due to ban evaders: Characters.Team Fortress Classic and VideoGame.Summoners War Sky Arena. In the first case, there have been no edits from anyone other than a single ban evader once they showed up, and in the second, there were only three legit edits in the middle of a ban evader's edit spree that have been saved and can be added back in (and the only edits since have been reversions). For Sky Arena, revert to January 24, 2020, and for Team Fortress, revert to August 18th, 2020. Thank you!
Edited by STARCRUSHER99 on Mar 6th 2021 at 4:59:15 AM
I've done the reversions. I'm in agreement that Wanda is getting a lot of attention, but I'm not certain if sending all edits through this thread are actually going to solve the problems.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.We just need a cool-down lock ideally. Long enough for the hype to die.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessRequest to create two new redirect pages:
On RWBY: Team RWBY, in Blake's folder, please remove:
- Supernatural Gold Eyes: Faunus appear to be humans, but they have a single animal trait that defines what type of creature they are. Blake is a cat-Faunus who possesses cat-ears, and the only Faunus in the two primary teams of the show (the titular Team RWBY and their betas, Team JNPR). Her eyes are much more almond shaped than the humans and a vivid golden shade which make her stand out even when she's hiding her cat ears underneath a bow. Of the five other cat Faunus that have been introduced to the show, four of them have had black hair and golden eyes.
- Color-Coded Eyes: Blake's yellow eyes are symbolic of her being a cat Faunus. This connection only exists from an audience's perspective, since in-universe, humans may have yellow eyes.
Requesting redirect for Gleeful and Grumpy Pairing: Grumpy And Sunshine
(grumpy & sunshine, "the grumpy one and the sunshine one", and similar are popular terms for this trope outside of this wiki, originating from a viral tweet)
^^Partly done (I can't find the second example) and ^ done.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanRequesting that MMO be redirected to Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game since it's the most common acronym for it.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.I think you misread—I was requesting the second example be added.
For Final Fantasy VII playable characters page.
Under Cloud: Remove the first sentence of Blue Is Heroic entry because he was wearing purple in the game.
- Broken Hero: Cloud has self-esteem issues, stemming from being an outcast as a child and the desire to prove himself. The reason he joins SOLDIER in the first place was to impress Tifa, and things went From Bad to Worse from here once enlisted...
- Dead Person Conversation: Cloud is seen having conversations with both Aerith and Zack during Advent Children.
- Iconic Outfit: Cloud's original purple outfit from the original game and the all-black Advent Children outfit are equally well-known among the fandom.
- Iconic Sequel Outfit: Cloud's all black gear in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is just as popular as his original outfit. Advent Children debuted in 2005, eight years after the original game was released. In many crossover appearances, this is Cloud's alternate outfit if it isn't already his regular one.
- Girlish Pigtails: His disguise while infiltrating Don Corneo's mansion sees Cloud style his hair this way.
- Graceful Ladies Like Purple: His disguise while infiltrating Don Corneo's mansion sees Cloud don a violet dress. Cloud's projected composed demeanor during that point in the game also adds to the demure.
- Purple Is Powerful: Cloud's original game outfit is the purple SOLIER 1st class uniform.
- Sleeves Are for Wimps: All of Cloud's outfits are sleeveless (except maybe for shoulder guards) and he fights using very large swords.
Under Barrett Crosswicking Chi McBride under the second bullet in Captain Ersatz.
- Badass Beard: Barret is a seasoned fighter and sports a rather thick beard.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: Sports a pulled back cornrow by the time of Advent Children.
- Large and in Charge: Barret is one of the tallest characters in the game, has a very imposing demeanor, and leads the extremist group AVALANCHE.
- Rebel Leader: Leads AVALANCHE, an extremist group hell-bent on destroying the Mako reactors hurting the planet.
- Sleeves Are for Wimps: All of Barret's outfits are sleeveless, is the largest and most imposing of the main characters, and he fights with a literal Arm Cannon.
Under Tifa:
- Combat Parkour: Seen in her fight against Loz in Advent Children in which she did Tic Tacs and wall clings.
- Deuteragonist: In Advent Children, Tifa is clearly the story's focus after Cloud and she is the one usually filling him in on what's happening. In all versions, her voice actress is credit second after Cloud's.
- Expository Hairstyle Change: She ditches the dolphin-line ponytail in Advent Children.
- Iconic Outfit: Tifa's original outfit from the original game, a white mid-riff sleeveless shirt and black leather Mini Dress Of Power, is very popular among the fandom (for obvious reasons) and is easily her most recognized getup. Her all-black Advent Children outfit is also popular.
- Iconic Sequel Outfit: While not as popular as her original outfit, Tifa's all black outfit in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children is still recognizable among the fanbase. Advent Children debuted in 2005, eight years after the original game was released. In many crossover appearances, this is Tifa's alternate outfit if it isn't already her regular one.
- Mini Dress Of Power: Tifa's wearing a black leather mini-skirt and is the resident brawler. She ditches them for a regular-sized shorts in Advent Children.
- Nice Hat: She's wearing a cowboy hat during the Nibelheim incident.
- Sleeves Are for Wimps: All of Tifa's outfits are sleeveless and she's the resident slobber knocker.
- True Blue Femininity: As a member of Don Corneo's brothel, Tifa is seen wearing a dark blue cocktail dress.
- Trying Not to Cry: After gently caressing Aerith's lifeless body, Tifa eventually breaks down and runs away crying.
Under Aerith: The namespace for Mandy Moore is actually Music/, not Creator/. Just saying for proper Crosswicking.
- Backup from Otherworld: Stops Meteor as part of the Lifestream during the closing moments of the original game. In Advent Children, her spirit also helps Cloud in the battle against Bahamut SIN by joining in the Fastball Special. She later uses her Great Gospel Limit Break from beyond the grave in order to cleanse Midgard and Edge of Geostigma.
- Death from Above: How she (in)famously dies, via a surprise stabbing by a descending Sephiroth.
- Decoy Protagonist: She's the very first main character introduced and while Cloud (along with Barrett) was immediately introduced and established as The Hero, the plot still hinges on Aerith being the last of the Ancients who could stop Sephiroth's Evil Plan, seemingly making her the co-protagonist of sorts. She was fatally stabbed by Sephiroth at the end of Disc 1.
- Dropped a Bridge on Him: A major reason why her death is so remembered is due to how abrupt it happened.
- Deuteragonist: In the first disc, the main plot revolves around Aerith being the last of the Ancients as much as it revolves around Cloud.
- Four Is Death: Aerith is the fourth playable main character and is the game's major Character Death.
- Hairstyle Inertia: Aerith is seen sporting the exact same hairstyle as a child.
- Iconic Outfit: Aerith's pink dress, red jacket, golden bracelets, and red ribbon getup is easily recognizable among the fandom.
- In the Back: Sephiroth impales her this way, jumping from above then stabbing her upon landing.
- Lady in Red: Whil infiltrating Don Corneo's brothel to rescue Tifa, Aerith goes for a red cocktail dress.
- Pietà Plagiarism: Her lifeless body was cradled by Cloud this way. She was laid to rest by him laying her corpse in the Forbidden City lake.
- Posthumous Character: In Advent Children, she's more or less just a Spirit Advisor for Cloud.
- Present Absence: Aerith's death weighs heavily on the characters. Her murder at Sephiroth's hands becomes their resolve to continue stopping his Evil Plan as he made it (even more) personal. In Advent Children, Cloud is still visibly mourning her death along with Zack's. The game also enforces this to the player, as her usual slot in the party menu screen remains empty for the duration of the game.
- Red Is Heroic: Wears a red jacket and red ribbon and is undoubtedly one of the good guys.
Under Red XIII Move 13 Is Unlucky at the very top.
- Handicapped Badass: Red is missing his right eye but still fights for the world alongside the rest of the party.
- Magical Native American: His people are fire-tailed, talking red mountain lion who lives for centuries as the ending cinematic shows. Their role is safeguarding Cosmo Canyon, the holy ground of the Study of Planet Life. The Cosmo Canyon has an overtly Native American theme. His Weapon Of Choice are 'combs', feathers that adorn the headdress of a Native chief.
- Red Is Heroic: Has red fur, is actually named Red and is one of the good guys.
- "X" Marks the Hero: Nanaki is one of the main characters and he has an x-shaped scar in place of his missing right eye.
Under Cid
- Blue Is Heroic: Cid wears a blue jacket and is one of the good guys, rough on the edges as he may be. He's wearing a blue shirt in Advent Children and is notably much calmer.
- Iconic Item: Cid is never seen without his goggles in sequels, spin-offs, and every other crossover appearances.
Under Vincent
- Iconic Outfit: His red cowl is easily recognizable among the fandom and he is never seen without it.
- Limited Wardrobe: Outside of flashbacks during his Turks days, Vincent is always wearing his aforementioned Iconic Outfit.
- Red Is Heroic: Wears a red Badass Cape and is one of the good guys, despite his cold demeanor.
Under Yuffie Crosswicking Christy Carlson Romano
- Boyish Short Hair: Contrasting Tifa and Aerith, Yuffie has a rather short hairstyle. This justified, though, considering she's a Ninja.
- Cry Cute: The normally energetic Yuffie is gradually reduced to a sobbing mess if you bring her to Aerith's death scene.
- Inelegant Blubbering: If you bring her to the Forbidden City, Yuffie will at first try to act calm after Aerith was killed and even gives her a prayer. Immediately she begins to shiver and then completely breaks down afterwards.
- Martial Arts Headband: She's wearing a white one in the original game, being from a Ninja clan and all.
Under Zack
- Died in Your Arms Tonight: Cloud is tending to him in his final moments. Once he dies, Cloud gives a haunting Skyward Scream.
- Dying Moment of Awesome: His Last Stand sees him taking on platoons of Shinra troops, only losing against the last three standing.
- Face Death with Dignity: Zack calmly utters his Badass Creed before taking on platoons of Shinra soldiers. While dying, he gives Cloud a motivational speech and gives him the Buster Sword before succumbing to his wounds.
- Family-Unfriendly Death: The flashback showing his death in the original game sees Zack getting repeatedly gunned down, though it was a Bloodless Carnage due to the limited technology at the time. Tellingly, the more rendered Crisis Core gives it a Gory Discretion Shot by showing it through Zack's point of view (though he is seen bleeding to death afterwards).
- The Hero Dies: Zack is the Doomed by Canon protagonist of Crisis Core, a Prequel game set before FFVII.
- Present Absence: Zack's death is the reason Cloud still lives in the first place. Cloud even modeled himself after Zack, which is also an integral part of his character. In Advent Children, Cloud is seen mourning his death along with Aerith's.
- Purple Is Powerful: Zack wears the purple SOLIER 1st class uniform is certainly a formidable fighter.
- Sleeves Are for Wimps: Wears a sleeveless outfit (except maybe for shoulder guards) and he fights using very large swords.
- Spirit Advisor: Gives Cloud few advices throughout Advent Children despite being long dead.
- "X" Marks the Hero: The main protagonist of Crisis Core and has an x-shaped scar on the left side of his cheek.

Edit for Snark Bait: Remove Deader Than Disco from the index and add Condemned by History to the index.
Similar to above, replace Deader Than Disco in Fallen Creator with Condemned by History.
MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesRequesting another mod revert - this time, on Creator.Lucy Punch. One of Johnnyfog's socks edited it 35 times, and the only legit edits since have been a grammar correction and adding a Creator wick, both of which can be re-added easily. Please revert to August 10, 2020. Thank you!

@Twiddler: Done.
@rmctagg09: We don't do such initialism redirects.
~RT1986: For an edit as large as that I'll ask that it be done on Characters Final Fantasy VII Playable Characters. When you are done, ask here for a swap.
@Kevjro 7: Someone else already got it.
@Siegfried 1337: Done.
@STARCRUSHER 99: Done, but I must say that I have to disagree with ~crazysamaritan that this thread should be used for such requests - the moderation thread IMO is more appropriate.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIn some cases we do, though? Like ARG.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessCan someone please create Evil Niece as a redirect to Evil Nephew?
I just saw this from ~rjd1922 and wanted to clarify:
That subpage and the Western Animation subpage were the targets of repeated uncommenting of ZCEs during the example cleanup for the trope's TRS effort, so they were locked to prevent this. If there's consensus that they should be unlocked, that can be done.

Could the following be added to HarsherInHindsight.Real Life:
- Penn State's venerable college football program was rocked in 2011 when allegations of child sexual abuse against former assistant coach Jerry Sandusky, spanning several decades, became public. Back in 2001 Sandusky had published an autobiography titled Touched: The Jerry Sandusky Story.
That's worded a bit oddly, and I'm not sure if it belongs there in the first place.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. Please swap the following:

~War Jay 77 — To be fair, ARG (and LARP) is a namespace, while MMO isn't.
I've made Evil Niece as a gendered redirect to the spear-gendered title.
I did not do HarsherInHindsight.Real Life — figure it out in PM or discussion and bring it back.
Monster sandboxes have been swapped.
~RT 1986 — it might be a timezone/timestamp bug, but I see edits on Sandbox.Characters Final Fantasy VII Playable Characters after your post here.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.
People keep edit warring. Crazy just had to suspend someone based on another TRS thread about it.
The show is very popular. The fandom for it is also very divided. So it's been getting a lot of poor, speculative, or contested edits.
