This page is for everyone in the Clan, including the administrators and leaders, the Workshop and the Fleet.

Toa Tawa

Tawa, a Toa of Lightning, is the de facto leader and founder of Bio-Clan. Sharing a past with the Makuta of Metru Nui and having seen enough evidence of the evils of the world, she founded an organisation pledged to provide protection and help for anyone who needs it.

  • Authority Equals Asskicking: Not only the number one in command in Bio-Clan, but also single-handedly apprehended a Toa of Shadow and finished off a Feterra with minimal effort.
  • Broken Bird: Slowly throughout the story, it is revealed that she spent a large part of her life with the Makuta in some sort of a twisted father-daughter relationship, something that she fights with every day in her life.
  • Catchphrase: "Go to sleep."
  • Chess Motif: Referred to as "the White Queen" by Avde.
  • Code Name: Occasionally "The Boss".
  • Determinator: Although living with a dark past overshadowed by the Makuta - literally the Satan figure of the Matoran Universe, she decides every day to choose hope instead of doom.
  • Literal Split Personality: As recent events show, there are actually two Tawas. When, where and why this happened is still a mystery.
  • Ship Tease: Tawa's and Guardian's interaction are that of an old married couple. Needless to say, the forumgoers got quite excited over this.
  • To Be Lawful or Good: Ultimately chooses good over law.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: She dreams of a society where all races of the Matoran Universe can live in peace. However The Angel of Fear shows this to be a coping mechanism for her time with the Makuta.

Visokki

Visokki is one of her kind, a telepathic and highly intelligent Visorak. She is Tawa's oldest friend and the secondary leader of Bio-Clan. Her past and how she came to be is a mystery, but she has a strange sense of justice.

  • Beware the Nice Ones: Through her telepathy she can understand and sympathise with even the vilest of individuals, but God help you if you really tick her off. Shown in ā€œWelcome to the Machineā€ when she absolutely wipes the floor with Jouera.
  • Ceiling Cling: Comes with being a Visorak.
  • Mission Control: Occasionally with the help of her telepathy.
  • Mind Rape: Perfectly capable of inflicting this.
  • My Species Doth Protest Too Much: Much unlike the feral and beastly Visorak race, Visokki is one of the most peaceful characters.
  • Talking Animal: A variation, it's not speech but telepathy.
  • Team Mom: While Visokki is in no way a leader figure, she is the one truly holding the admins together.
  • Telepathy: Because of her spidery mouth, this is basically her only means of communication. Parhaps the most powerful telepath in the story.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Tawa, but comes to question this after she disappeared with Avde.

Guardian

Guardian is a Skakdi and a veteran of the Zakazian Civil War - from the losing side. After having lost his clan and one of his eyes to a group of warlord Nektann's bounty hunters, he joined the Dark Hunters to gain help in hunting down the bounty hunters. After finishing off his rampage of revenge, he left the Hunters, only to have to find protection from them in a newly formed Bio-Clan.

  • Animal Motifs: His nickname from his military days was "Watchdog". And he is loyal like one.
  • Abnormal Ammo: Xian Sea Mine inside a Zamor sphere.
  • Bar Brawl: When Zakaz boozers fill up his fellow Makuta Nui's cheating in a card game.
  • Benevolent Boss: Seen with moderators; he holds a professional and respectful relationship with Same, shares Bladis' interest in armed weaponry and bold one-liners, and is even Big Brother Mentor to Make.
  • Bond Oneliner: Parodied: He has trouble coming up with good ones in the heat of battle.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Bringing a gun to a fist fight should tell something.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Half the time this seems to be his default mode of communication.
Guardian:"Ever consider a career as a pyrotechnic or a Naming Day clown? Both would be a lot closer to your level of prowess."
General 001:"We need to meet very soon, Colonel."
—>Guardian:"Yes, absolutely. Ideally it is my fist that meets your face first."
  • Eyepatch of Power: He can fire plasma from his prosthetic telescope-eye.
  • Evil Stole My Faith: The Zakazian Civil War washed him clean of any beliefs.
Handicapped Badass: Lost an eye in the Civil War.

    Ämkoo (Spoiler Character)

Ämkoo is a former member of a group of Toa Knights who followed a samurai-like code and offered their protection to many islands. After killing a powerful unnamed Makuta, he absorbed its essence, gaining its powers - but also the broken and insane remains of the Makuta's mind. This made Ämkoo neither Toa or a Makuta, but something potentially more powerful. After Ämkoo's fellow Toa were either killed off in combat or took their own life for their honor, the Toa knight found new meaning to his life in the protection of Bio-Clan.

    SPOILER CHARACTER

The Other Tawa

Some time after Visokki is released from Avde's labyrinth of nightmares, Tawa is hospitalized after the two have a bit of a falling out. In a scene still partially unseen and completely unexplained, a completely identical Toa of lightning also called Tawa appears seemingly out of thin air. This Tawa remains a mystery and doesn't seem to properly know the original Tawa's closest friends. Tawa and Visokki decide to hide the mysterious doppelgänger in the Admin Tower until they know who she truly is.

  • Mirror Self: She is explicitly called Tawa's mirror image. It is unclear if she's a twin, a clone or a copy or literally this trope.
  • Walking Spoiler: She enters the plot after about one third of its duration and completely changes what we think we know about one of the main characters.

Toa Umbra

Umbra is a Toa of Light who fought in the Dark Hunter - Toa war of Metru Nui and was subsequentially recruited by the Order of Mata Nui. He left the Order to look for a simpler life, and found one in the Clan. As the formal leader of Bio-Clan's moderator police force, Umbra is one of the administration's most trusted officers.
  • Arm Cannon: His arm is basically an exo-cannon.
  • The Chosen One: Captured by Zorak, who is willing to try to build Umbra to be The Light One, a Toa of light who will one day drive away the darkness. Then again, it is possible that the prophecy is supposed to be about Domek, or Gekko, or somebody else entirely...
  • Glory Days: Seems to miss his days of adventure with Matoro.
  • Hidden Depths: Even though Umbra is the leader of the moderators, the character isn't much involved with the war, and we actually don't know much about his past. At least not until The Gates Of Bane.
  • Ironic Name: Umbra is the darkest part of a shadow. He's a Toa of Light.
  • Hard Light: He is able to conjure physical items out of light.
  • One-Steve Limit: Broken because of how the fanfic started, with many contributing writers: he is one of several Umbra in this universe.
  • Split Personality: Kra-Umbra and Umbra, Shadow and Light.
  • The Mole: Not actually a bad guy, but he nonetheless was spying Bio-Clan for The Order Of Mata Nui for all his years in the Clan.
    • Becoming the Mask: He joined the Bio-Clan with a mission to spy on them, but eventually became loyal to the Clan instead of the Order.
    • Mole in Charge: He became leader of the Moderators.

Same

Same is a Selakh, or Selakhian, a being from the island of Selakhia in the Southern Universe. Selakhians are tall, pale Toa-like humanoid creatures capable of wearing and using Kanohi masks. Same was a lieutenant in an unnamed Selakhian war, and judging from his battlefield prowess and tactical skill, it wasn't his only war. Same is an important part of the Clan's law enforcement and military wings. He is a cold, calm and collected soldier who prefers not to show his emotions at all, but has a rather charming buddy-cop attitude with his partner, Bladis.
  • Authority Equals Asskicking: One of the more capable fighters in the Clan. His years of being a soldier certainly helps.
  • Batman Gambit: A rather impressive one which involved letting a pirate ship plunder a village so that he could sneak the Toa Squadron Angoranger onboard.
  • Crazy-Prepared: Always ready for anything, all the time.
  • Expy: He's strongly based on Naked Snake. Lampshaded with his codename "Naked Bat".
  • Good Cop/Bad Cop: He plays the good cop to Bladis' bad cop; but there are times when he seems to be the bad cop deep down.
  • Meaningful Name: His name means "shark" in Japanese.
  • Only Sane Man: Compared to most of his colleagues, he's the only one that actually has common sense, not to mention actually seen working.
  • Smoking Is Cool: Seems to smoke when doing the paperwork. Not many hero character smokes.
  • Veteran Instructor: Will not pass the chance of reminding you about his war experience.

Bladis

Bladis is a Skakdi of iron from Zakaz. Not much about his past has been revealed, but before finding himself in the Clan's employment, he was possibly a mercenary type of some kind. Bladis enjoys his beer cold, his women sharp-teethed and beautiful and his enemies dead. He wasn't hired by the admins for his social skills, but for his ways of bashing suspects in the head and maybe his endless oneliners. He and Same basically never stop taking jabs at each other.
  • Angst? What Angst?: He isn't really all that bothered by being wheelchair-bound.
  • Big Brother Mentor: Like Same, he seems to take high a regard for making Make a good moderator. He quite often calls him names like "lizard kiddo" or "sonny", making the relationship between the two more casual than Same's and Make's, which is more of a student-teacher one.
  • Good Cop/Bad Cop: The bad cop to Same's good cop. But the dynamic is an act, as while Bladis is the one who hits suspects in the head and then asks questions, he's actually a really nice guy.
  • Handicapped Badass: Both of his legs were broken after the Blue Hands dropped his and Same's plane into the Lehu Forest. It hasn't stopped him so far.
  • More Dakka: He used a hand-carried anti-air cannon to prevent a falling Nazorak bomber from hitting civilian settlements. Never too much Dakka.
  • Shell-Shocked Veteran: Heavily implied, being a Skakdi and other hints. Then subverted when it turns out he is far too young to have fought in the Zakazian Civil War.
  • The Vaporizer: As it turns out, his aim isn't all that good, but he compensates by firing so much that something eventually hits.

Paaco

Paaco is a quirky green Toa of a dubious element, an amateur musician and a horrible punmaster. He is not a fighter in the least, but instead manages the inner workings of the Clan in war and peace time. From his room of monitors he keeps the Clan running and fires his endless stream of puns at anyone unlucky enough to hear.

Make

A novice moderator, half Toa, half dangerous dragon Rahi. Make is one of the nicest people in the story, and doesn't necessarily feel he fits in such a position of authority. He does try to be a hero and the defender of innocents whenever he can. As a total contrast to his niceness as a Toa, his Rahi beast side is violent and unpredictable.

Dox

Not much is known about Dox. He is a member of Takadox's species, only unmutated by the Pit chemicals. Some years before the start of the main story he disappeared into the inside of the Workshop, only to return with Iggy, a clansman. Both of them were strangely traumatized by the experience, and Dox in general was turned from a stalwart moderator into a nervous wreck with a hat obsession. Kepe takes care of him these days, if only to make sure he doesn't hurt himself.

  • Authority in Name Only: Because of his insanity he isn't really a moderator anymore, but he was never officially sacked.
  • The Woobie: He is really just a sad and confused animal trapped in the bizarre horrors of the Workshop.

Matoro TBS

A Toa of Ice and probably the most traditional hero in Bio-Clan, along with Sugan. He also has a harpoon.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Loses a hand in his fight with The Puppet.
    • Handicapped Badass: ... and his reaction is "Well, I guess I'll strap five more harpoon guns around the stump then."
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: He just can't help being such a big damn hero Discussed, analyzed and deconstructed pretty hard in the White Hand trilogy.
  • Deus ex Machina: Was killed and then recreated by his good friend who recentely got Matoro's own Health Stone he lost in another island miles away.
  • Disney Death: Twice, though the second time wasn't really as clear as the first.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After his encounter with the Order of Mata Nui. Later, after
  • Telepathy: His Kanohi, Cencord, gives him the ability to read minds. Unfortunately, actually using the mask is nigh-impossible.
  • Split Personality: The version of Makuta Itroz he's been talking with is just a splinter of his own mind, born out of his obsession with Nimda and its secrets. The discovery broke him pretty hard.
  • Trauma Conga Line: An encounter with the Puppets left him with a well-understandable phobia for them.
  • Was It All a Lie??: After Umbra reveals that he has been double agent for The Order Of Mata Nui, shocked Matoro questions their friendship. Inside the walls of Aft-Amana the same happens with Kapura.
  • Why Don't Ya Just Shoot Him? He fights energy-rifle armed Nazoraks with couple of swords only because he prefers them.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Even though he has been trough a lot, he still seems to have faith in the world. All of this seems to be ultimately broken after Metru Nui.

Toa Kepe

Kepe is a Toa of Ice hailing from Artakha, but was separated after numerous adventures and wind up as a member and technical support for Bio-Clan.

Snowman

Snowman is a very peculiar member of the Clan. He resembles an actual snowman, also a Toa at the same time. Nobody knows what he is or where he even came from, to the point where it seems even he himself has no idea. Though due to his soft and peaceful personality, nobody seems to mind(mostly).

  • Action Survivor: As a non-action guy still alive. Once he lost his legs to cannibals. They walked back to him later.
  • Hetero Sexual Life Partners: With Kepe, though half the time the relationship seem a little... close.
  • Mistaken for Badass: Walsinats had an idea of building an army out of Snowie's mass by feeding him baguettes.
  • Nice Guy: Very quick to make friends and a team player. He is probably the most passive and harmless character in the story.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Snowman may not even be his real name, but he and everyone still calls him that.
  • Superhero Origin: Parodied. He claims to be originally an ordinary snowman given the powers of a Toa stone. Needless to say, not many people buy it.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: His body is made out of snow (or at least it looks like snow) and he can change his shape at anytime.

Toa Domek

Domek the Light One is Toa of Light from Degoh Nui. He is rather artistic and bohemian persona, but can sometimes be a little awkward and have communication problems with others. However, he is kind in nature, even if not fully understood. Not only blessed with the strong powers of light, Domek is also an expert in martial arts.

Toa Kapura

Kapura is a Toa of fire and blacksmith by profession. He is a quiet and peculiar warrior with a shade of a conspiracy theorist.

  • Wild Magic: His mask grants him control of basically every elemental power. Too bad it's impossible to control.

Keetongu

Keetongu or Tongu is one of the last Saffron Giants, a cycloptic Rahi race driven to the brink of extinction by the Visorak. He is the main engineer and commander of Bio-Clan's steampunk Fleet. Tongu is a jolly good strange gorilla person with a deep love for Humppa music, but mess with his machines and you'll get a face full of fist. Giant gorilla fist.

  • Bad "Bad Acting": Tries to camouflage himself as a tree on Nynrah. A huge saffron tree carrying an anti-air cannon.
  • Big Dam Plot: Destroys a hyrdopower dam to flood Zorak's factory on Nynrah.
  • Genius Bruiser: He is skilled with machines and a logical thinker. He also once threw a Feterra at Zorak von Maxitrillian Arstein VIII.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: Prefers steam engine technologies.
  • Improbable Weapon User: The part with Zorak and Feterras and throwing.
  • Living Relic: His species is destroyed by Visorak hordes.
  • Good Is Old-Fashioned: Or as he himself said it; "Reactors and the levitation kanoka are overrated."

Killjoy

"Killjoy" is a dodgy character with an equally dodgy backstory. Originally built as a Vahki prototype meant to invoke the image of a Toa, but due to a Toa stone lodged inside him grew into a self-aware and partially organic creature, until many unfortunate incidents left him as a bitter and vengeful cybernetic note  soldier and one of the most important members of Bio-Clan.

Makuta Nui

A scientifically talented but possibly insane Makuta who helped Abzumo in the creation of the Nazorak. Though seemingfully mainly a comical character, it is hinted that he is driven by his resentment of his responsibility for the Nazorak, as well as his hatred of Abzumo.

  • The Cuckoolander Was Right: He is a total madman, but the worst thing is that most of the time, what he theorizes about the universe is correct.
  • Eldritch Abomination: In his (somewhat) true form.
  • In-Series Nickname: Ämkoo calls him Manfred. Also, he is very often called Manu.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Though he does not admit it, he seems to consider Guardian and Keetongu to be his friends.
  • Medium Awareness: He seems to share Zeeron's ability to hear the narrator, even though he usually ignores it.
  • Metal Head: Fan of heavy po monster band Lörde.
  • Telepathy: He is a self-proclaimed expert of mind and its powers, claiming he is the knowledge while Visokki is the intuition.
  • Unreliable Narrator: Any flashback narrated by him or presented as his point of view can be questioned.
  • Wild Card: Nobody can really say who he is actually rooting for in the end.
  • Winged Humanoid: Has usually bat wings in his optimal form.

Suga

A Toa who has almost completely lost his elemental powers. Despite that, he still keeps his duty as a Toa and serves as one of the important figures in Bio-Clan. He also happens to be the only one who Killjoy can befriend along with Visokki.

Gekko

Gekko has always been considered as sort of an outsider amongst others. He was once a Toa created by Makuta Itroz, but has since been stripped from his powers. He was severely wounded by the Avhrak Feterra, and is now kept alive only by prosthetic body parts.

Toa Nurukan

Nurukan is an old Toa of Earth who fought in the Great Metru Nuian War but has lost his memory of most of it. He is a good friend of Umbra and Deleva and joins Bio-Clan as the story progresses.

Toa Deleva

Deleva is a fiery Toa of Plasma and an old friend of Moderator Umbra. He is mostly seen with Toa Nurukan. Deleva joins Bio-Clan as the story progresses, even though he has some issues with Guardian and Skakdis in general.

  • Artificial Limbs: His left arm and leg are made of mechanic KAL-armor.
  • Brutal Honesty: He tends to be honest, even if it sometimes makes him sound harsh.
  • Escaped from the Lab: After the experiment he used his new body to escape his tormentors in Odina.
  • Fantastic Racism: He isn't fond of Skakdis.
  • For Science!: The Dark Hunter scientists simply experimented with what would happen if they strapped half a robot onto a half-dead Toa.
  • Invisible Bowstring: He creates the bowstring of his bow from pure plasma.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: He uses energy-reinforced physical shield as his weapon of choice.
  • Only Sane Man: When adventuring with Matoro, Kapura and Umbra, he is (apparently) the only one without hidden agenda, obsession or dark secret.
  • Super-Speed: His Kanohi Kakama gives him super speed.
Unwilling Roboticisation: He didn't sign up for the experiment to create a half-KAL.

Dinem

Dinem is a cheerful Matoran, who works at the postal office of Bio-Clan. She has a tendency to be rather garrulous, even to the point that those around her wish she would just stop talking. Which she never ever does.

Toa Kupe

A chief surgeon, doctor and healer of the Bio-Clan medical department, Kupe is a stoic Toa of fire who puts his patients to the very top of his priority list.

  • The Stoic: Whether we're dealing with demonic parasite jaybirds or a Nazorak bombing raid, Kupe keeps his head cool and hand steady.

Creedy

A Matoran-like vahki creature with a love for tinkering and experimenting with technology. Often gets overly excited about new tech and is the one mostly responsible for creating the various armors Killjoy uses in combat.

  • Our Gnomes Are Weirder: For the longest time the species of Creedy was unknown. Though he was later revealed to be a part of a vahki subtype, vahki-va, he is best described as a sort-of-a-gnome.

Toa Kyber

Toa of Sound, armed with an axe that also doubles as an electric guitar.

Santor

Santor... Or rather, SUPER Toa SANTOR is the Toa of Iron who will never give up the chance of announce his name and action, preferably WITH EMPHASIS.

Toa Squadron Angoranger

Angoranger are quite possibly the most quirkiest members in the already quirky Bio-Clan. While on paper they seem to be an ordinary Toa team composed of six warriors, led by Toa Takama but commanded by Same, what makes them special is their tendency to wear garish full body suits, announce their presence in the most unsubtle ways possible and make various poses while doing so. Also, something explodes behind them. A lot.

The Prophet

The Prophet used to wander across the Island of Bio-Clan carrying a shard of Nimda many years ago. There are cities founded on his glory and legends written about him, but his true essence is shrouded in mystery. The Workshop is said to be his realm.

The Black Knight

Loyal servant of the Prophet, not much is known about the Black Knight. He is big, intimidating and defends the Prophet with a really big sword.

matatu the pink wabbit

A creature of pure living crappy .jpeg-compression, matatu is a rabbit-like creature who resided in the Clan's prison cells for unknown crimes until he escaped to the Workshop.

Tehmut

An Onu-Matoran who is the secondary leader of the Clan's fleet, Tehmut's a seasoned old chap who knows his way with the machines.

Ternok & Ontor

A pair of mechanic matoran who work in the Fleet and have been aiding the Clan's heroes on various missions. They take care of Ämtur's legendary fighter jet, The Air Raptor.

Ämtur

The Fleet's ace pilot.

Walsinats

A shy little fellow who always screws thing up.

Nöpö

Nöpö is an exceptionally small silver-shelled Ussal crab. She's Tawa's pet and the more or less official "mascot" of the Clan, appearing in its official flag. She's also the most important character in Klaanon.

  • Big Eater: She will devour everything.
  • The Fake Cutie: Her cuteness is almost More than Mind Control, as Visokki found out the hard way.
  • Fun Size: Considering that Ussals are used as steeds in MNOG while Nöpö, for no clear reason, easily fits on Tawa's shoulder.
