Nice Hat is just a list of hats Tropers like. Last time, Nice Hat was discussed on the Appearance thread a few years ago, we decided to create Signature Headgear for headwear that has some form of significance to the character, their design and/or the story, so Nice Hat has no ground to exist anymore as a trope.I conducted a wick check (with help from Yindee and Orbiting to see how Nice Hat was being used. Predictably, most examples fell under the "nice hat/just a hat" category. Most of the examples with context fell under Signature Headgear, Never Bareheaded and other hat tropes.

- Calvinball: The British show Green Wing gives us Guyball, which features all the quirks of jai alai, basketball, and Eton College's Wall Game, plus a really funny hat.. (pothole)

- Characters.Dream SMP Quackity: Quackity is almost universally portrayed with his iconic beanie (pothole), similar to his real-life appearance.
- Kamen Rider Zi-O: Another Riders:Has one resembling a graduation cap embedded on his head, where he stores the knowledge he steals from others from.
- Characters.Justified Detroit Mob: A darker, smaller version of Raylan's hat to show the Good vs Evil conflict.
- Characters.Long Gone Gulch: Rawhide wears a stylish cowboy hat with a pink bow and a skull on the front. Seems distinctive enough to count as Signature Headgear.

Nice Hat should be a disambig page to be honest. Right now, Nice Hat could very well be Chairs.
The same can be done for Nice Shoes, a similar trope also involving clothing.

Disambig works for me. The only other option I can think of right now is making it IUEO with characters finding a hat impressive, and I'm not entirely sure that's tropeworthy.
Though I do think we could at least yard cases of hats being used to say something about the people who wear them, like top hats to convey affluence, turbans to convey mysticism, etc.

In those I don't think the hats are the tropeworthy concept, but more the overall link between clothing style and characterization. The top hat might be covered by something like Quintessential British Gentleman, for instance.

Since Nice Hat has 10k wicks and is a well established page, I think we should probably a crowner anyway but maybe that's not needed.

Nice Hat is just a list of hats Tropers like. Last time, Nice Hat was discussed on the Appearance thread a few years ago, we decided to create Signature Headgear for headwear that has some form of significance to the character, their design and/or the story, so Nice Hat has no ground to exist anymore as a trope.I conducted a wick check (with help from Yindee and Orbiting to see how Nice Hat was being used. Predictably, most examples fell under the "nice hat/just a hat" category. Most of the examples with context fell under Signature Headgear, Never Bareheaded and other hat tropes.
