  • Unnerved by: Koishi Komeiji
  • Potential Pawn: Queen Beryl
  • In another dimension known as the Nightmare Realm, a trillion-year old cosmic being lurked, who had grown bored of the limitations of that two-dimensional world and forcefully liberated it by causing an apocalypse, and it started to decay as a result. This being’s name was Bill Cipher, and he began to start influencing people on Earth through the Mindscape in his quest to obtain a Physical Form in the Material Realm and bring Weirdmageddon to the entire universe. He eventually succeeded, but through some trickery exploiting Bill’s need to break through a weirdness barrier around Gravity Falls, a Twin Switch and a memory-erasing gun, he was destroyed, erased out of the mind of one Stanley Pines.
  • Bill Cipher was erased out of the mind of one Stanley Pines to save the universe. However, he managed to live on thanks to the incantation he chanted in reverse as he was killed, as his death catapulted him into the Mindscape of the Pantheon, and he found himself unable to enter the material realm once again. Rather unhappy that his Weirdmageddon was reversed, Bill Cipher plans to regain his physical form and spread this disastrous event across the entirety of the Pantheon. When Dipper and Mabel learned of his arrival, he had this to say.
Bill Cipher: “’Oh no, it’s Bill!’ Right? Isn’t that what you’re all thinking?”
  • Upon learning that erasing all memories of someone when he is inside of their mind can kill him, he has been extremely careful in order to keep this from happening to him again, as he knows full well that there are people in the Pantheon capable of this even without technology. That being said, he will enter the minds of people close to them, but he will wait until they are alone so as to avoid those capable of pulling this off.
  • He is extremely good at getting people to do what he wants, even if they know he’s bad news. He’s an excellent practitioner of making deals and being a Knowledge Broker, and is very good at bending them in his favor. Even those who don’t trust Bill tend to end up being used by him anyway. He’s that good at it. People see him as similar to the Incubators because of this, and he’s proud of it considering their reputation. All Puella Magi have been opposing him because of this, and as far as he’s concerned, they’re getting turned into tapestries when he regains his Physical Form. There was once an incident where he baited Oriko Mikuni into a deal with him, possessed her and decided to try his hand at attacking Madoka and her friends. Once he was defeated by Sayaka Miki, Bill mocked her for her inability to keep Madoka from getting her powers stolen and left her body.
    • Homura is someone Bill finds amusing, and the very fact that she stole her friend’s powers to keep her safe...is something that the Dream Demon found utterly hilarious. Through his peepholes, he’s seen the powerless Madoka defenseless against the Batman Who Laughs, Both Jokers and Brainiac, just to name a few of her encounters, all of which Homura failed to show up. Events that could have been avoided if she had her powers during those times. He believes her to be completely delusional and finds it funny that this ended up putting her in more danger as this removed her ability to defend herself. She absolutely loathes him, as he is essentially an Omnicidal Maniac spin on Kyubey in her eyes, but knows that going to his dimension will do effectively nothing as he cannot be killed unless in the material realm or when all memories have been removed from a mind he is lurking in.
  • To the horror of those familiar with him, he has struck up an alliance with the powerful Nyarlathotep, and has begun seeking out deities who he knows would work with him in order to bring about Weirdmageddon. Even worse, Nyarly approves of his plans and has begun helping him behind the scenes, and Bill was all too eager to accept the help of another powerful abomination.
  • To the shock of a few deities, Lucifer actually opposes Bill despite their similar goals for one simple reason. The Dream Demon sees humans as beneath him and as playthings, and while Lucifer is a bit immoral himself, he is legitimately fond of humanity. Bill loves bringing up the throne made out of petrified humans when it comes to Lucifer, and he knows that the Dream Demon is trying to get him to lose his temper.
  • He met with Freddy Krueger in the Dreamscape once, with Bill offering Freddy a deal. Help him cause Weirdmageddon. He was originally against working with Bill until the Dream Demon pointed out that with his control over dreams and their immense power, this apocalyptic event could potentially turn the entire universe, or even all of reality, into a playground where Freddy is free to kill lesser beings at his leisure, complete with the chaos that ensues from Weirdmageddon making it that much harder to act against him due to the pure insanity of it. This was enough to win him over, much to the horror of Dipper and Mabel Pines.
  • Bill has struck up a friendship with the Joker. The sheer insanity of the Clown Prince of Crime was too appealing for him to ignore, and he has warned Cipher about He Who Laughs. Bill responded that he was never willing (And this says a lot considering who Bill is) to make a move for an alliance with him before in the first place, and even if he was, the idea would have been scrapped after what happened with Perpetua. That being said, The Batman Who Laughs wants to kill him for no reason other than to be a dick, and Bill knows he is capable of coming up with a way to do so or worse to him even when he doesn’t have a physical form in the Material Realm, as without erasing all memories of someone when he is inside of their mind, he normally can’t be killed when he doesn’t have one. Despite this, Bill Cipher is eagerly awaiting the day he builds a portal to the Nightmare Realm to do the dirty deed. This is because he plans to take advantage of the portal by entering the Material Realm, using it to obtain a Physical Form. He Who Laughs is aware that Bill will try this, but knows that he’ll need a lot more power to kill the Dream Demon, otherwise he’ll likely get turned to stone, disintegrated or get some nasty Body Horror and Facial Horror inflicted upon him.
  • Bill Cipher’s “temple” isn’t so much as a temple as it as a separate plane of existence called the Nightmare Realm. An Eldritch Location that not many people are aware of what it looks like, and Bill actually has a physical form in that dimension, making taking him down almost impossible there. Not only that, but his Henchmaniacs are present in that dimension as well, which would make things even harder for those who enter.
  • He sees his situation as similar to the one the leader of the Death Busters, Pharaoh 90, is in right now. He’s made a deal with him, he can convert not only Earth, but many planets into Daimon Homeworlds if he causes Weirdmageddon as long as it doesn’t conflict with his plans, and that help from his subordinates would be appreciated. Pharaoh 90 has agreed to these terms, much to the horror of the Sailor Guardians.
  • Horrifyingly enough, he feels a kinship with Shuma-Gorath. The Cancerverse is a topic that interested Cipher a great deal, and he believes that if the concept of death is removed, his Weirdmageddon will last for eternity in a universe unable to die, making his “party” never-ending . Shuma thinks so as well, and Doctor Strange is doing everything in his power to keep him from obtaining his physical form, as this Hell could have the potential to come true if Bill obtains it.
  • Is currently manipulating Queen Beryl. He finds that her love for Mamoru is a very easy tool to manipulate her with, and while he has promised her that he will ensure she gets him if she aids him in his plans. However, Bill Cipher has not mentioned that he’ll eventually turn the two of them to stone in the end anyway once he succeeds in bringing about his Weirdmageddon.
  • The knowledge Cipher holds was enough to gather the interest of both Krona and Brainiac. The latter refuses to work with him and would rather learn the secrets of the Nightmare Realm himself, while Krona is morbidly interested in the many horrors of that dimension and would investigate the effects Weirdmageddon would have on reality should it be unleashed. They have ended up making a deal. Bill will reveal knowledge to Krona that he is unaware of to him in exchange for him having the ability to possess him at times. This happens less often then one would think.
  • He has allied himself with Dimentio, the Joker who is the spawn of Pierrot and Kefka Palazzo. While not a Monster Clown or a Villainous Harlequin, Bill’s utter insanity was highly appealing to them. Dimentio finds the chaos that Bill’s endgame would bring about to be very interesting and Joker likes the idea of the despair it would cause to all of reality’s inhabitants. Kefka sees Weirdmageddon as similar to his own World of Ruin, and believes that it is a good way to create “a monument to non-existence.”
  • There is exactly one ascended deity that actually gives the Dream Demon a bit of pause, and that would be Koishi Komeiji. To reiterate, Bill's current plane of existence is not exactly in the material realm, but not out of material reality either- henceforth, he's someone beyond consciousness, meaning it is hard to actually hurt him. He can also manipulate anyone with a mind to get them to do exactly what he wants them to do for his own machinations. However, not only has Koishi detached herself from consciousness and therefore shifts between planes of existence frequently, the closing of her third eye means that she has no mind to manipulate. Add the fact that Koishi can be at least Intermediate Goddess level in combat complete with a flunky fighting style, it's no wonder why the protocol for when Bill looks to cause havoc is to simply chuck Koishi at him and see what happens.
Bill: If that girl could stab her own eye out no problem, then what do you think she might do to me?!
  • Many gods waited for the day Discord would head into battle against Bill Cipher. Discord found no reason to let the pyramid face get under his skin despite sharing a house finding him unfunny and unflattering...until an incident when Bill was able to coerce Spike into making a deal that caused Weirdmageddon to fall onto Equestria. He then turned many inhabitants into toy ponies to make a throne and the Mane 6 into banners. And Discord took it personally. The two battled across dimensions until Discord attempted to defeat Bill like how the Pines family did to him...except Bill was aware of this and got a grip on Discord's soul. Turns out that was not Discord's plan, for he actually teleported them back to his temple in the Nightmare Realm, laughing as Bill crushed his soul in fury. The next day, Discord was back at Fluttershy's temple having tea with her, and bill was heard cursing out Wiz and Boomstick for being "The only Death Battle winner who somehow lost in the process too!"
  • ”This party never stops! Time is dead and meaning has no meaning! Existence is upside down, and I reign supreme! WELCOME, ONE AND ALL, TO WEIRDMAGEDDON!"
    ”I’M WATCHING YOU NERDS.”

  • The old gods were creatures who come from the void with the mission of corrupting the world of Azeroth, tampering with the creations of the Titans in the process, which eventually sparked a war that left 3 of them imprisoned and one dead. Since then, their corruption spread to whenever they reside and they are still planning to destroy everything for the sake of Chaos. This creatures were found in the pantheon once and it took the entire effort of the GUAG aided by the four dragon aspects (Including Malygos) to imprison them. It is generally advised to avoid visiting them as no one returns fully well from an Old God's corruption.
  • After hearing about these ungodly abominations, The Hunter decided to end their lifes for good. However, when they were about to enter the Gods temple, they were immediately confronted by Deathwing and they were forced to retreat as he wasn't a match for the Death Aspect. They had never anticipated that the dragon was one of the biggest pawns of the Old Gods.
    • Besides Deathwing, Ragnaros also decided to serve his old masters once again which alarmed many people in the Pantheon, since they weren't aware the elemental lord used to serve the old Gods. This has made the GUAG to gather enough forces just in case these creatures decided to strike the Pantheon again.
    • When Cho'Gall heard that the Old Gods had acended, he was very quick to start visiting their temples, as he is already too corrupt to suffer any ill affects. He has been noted to favor C'Thun, though he makes an effort to visit each temple once a day.
  • It is forbidden in its ENTIRETY to ever try to kill any of the Old Gods, as killing them would leave nasty consequences in the Pantheon AND given the nature of the Pantheon regarding Death, then the Old Ones could potentially regain all the power they lost after their resurrection.
  • They are also reffered as "The Elder Gods" which caught Raiden by surprise, since he didn't expect to find his masters ascended. When he found out who these Elder Gods were about, he was horrified of the damage they had caused and refuses to compare these Eldritch creatures with his Homeworld's Elder Gods.
  • Their objective is simple, corrupt every place of the pantheon and cause unending chaos forever. That's the reason why the are always compered to the Chaos Gods as their objectives are similar and plus, they are also Eldritch Abominations. It was no surprise when both camps joined forces to put in motion a plan to corrupt the entire pantheon.
  • The elder gods have also taken interest in learning about their counterparts of Yharnam, The Great Old Ones. While both groups communicate without issue at all, the latter have been hesitant to collaborate with the Old Gods. Of course they don't mind at the moment, but later down the road the Old Gods have considered Brainwashing these creatures into submission when the time comes
  • They found common ground with the Elder Dragons of Tyria, since they share the same abilities to warp the surrounding they inhabit and also feed on magic. However, none of the dragons are interesting on serving the Elder Gods but there is still a rivalry going with both groups.
  • They also seems to get along with fellow lovecraftian deities given their similarities. Remarkably, C'Thun seems to get along with Cthulhu while Yogg-Saron has formed an alliance with Yogg-sothoth for very particular reasons.
  • Rumors say that their influence has been lingering around a peaceful tavern where various people from Azeroth gather to relax. While their plans are not very clear at the moment, they have already "corrupted" many of its frequent visitors, much to the shock of various deities.
  • Discord once tried to befriend them what with them being gods of chaos. But was horrified when he found out that their brand of chaos was endless death and destruction rather than the odd and wacky and thus became enemies. Solidified by Yogg-Saron calling Discord's brand of chaos childish and amateurish.
  • Exclusive to C'Thun:
    • Ever since his defeat against the Titans, C'thun has been kept imprisoned beneath Azeroth in one of their research facilities, in what would later become the continent of Kalimdor. He did return once but eventually he was defeated by a group of adventurers, which is no easy task for any mortal. His eventual ascension would allow him to get in motion a plan to drive to insanity many potentially useful gods to use as Pawns.
    • His appearance mostly consist as a giant eye surrounded by many tentacles. This made him be approached by another abomination by the name of Monoculus, which happen to be a floating eye that misteriously seems to speak a similar language that C'thun understands.
      • Another deity he has allied himself with was Sauron, given that his Eye form is very similar to C'thun's default form
    • Given that he had a race of insectoid creatures as pawns, whose names are the aquir and Quiraji, The old one was able to make an alliance with Queen Sectonia, given that she has similarities with said creatures that used to serve him. This didn't sit well with Kirby, who is more than willing to stand up to them separately, and even together. He is more than willing to get help from his friends or use the Star Allies Sparkler if needed, knowing if worst comes to worst those would win the day.
    • Has a devoted cult by the name of The Twilight Hammer that are really loyal to him and his brethen (but most importantly, him). This in turn made the House of Religion and Faith very careful if it happened that some members were already among them
    • A special rule he made for becoming a disciple of him is to shout his name three times.
    "C'Thun, C'THUN, C'THUN!"
  • Exclusive to Yogg-Saron:
    • Yogg-Saron is known as one of the most malevolents of the Elder gods. He was imprisoned in the depths of the city of Ulduar and the titans assigned specific watchers to keep an eye on him. While his situation in the pantheon is no different to how he was in Azeroth, it should be said that his powers are able to drive insane almost anyone dumb enough to get near him. As a matter of fact, all of his guardians ended up sucumbing to him
    • There has been rumors that wispers can be heard near his temple, which is not a good sign mind you, as he could easily Mind Rape anyone close to his range and make you his slave. It is possible to fight his influence but is not adviced in the slightest.
    • It is said that Yogg-Saron is very closely related to the creature known as Hastur, since they both share the Moniker of "The Unspeakable one". While Hastur isn't found in the pantheon at the moment, Old man Henderson has tried to take down Yogg-Saron thinking he is a possible reincarnation of Hastur. So far the Henderson has been unsuccessful, since he cannot get past Deathwing and is getting increasingly annoyed by the black dragon.
    • Yogg-saron is also known as "The God of Death" given how he feeds of the essence of the Undead and Death itself. That's why the House of Death and Postmortem struggles to fend off him in hopes that he doesn't corrupt the house or else the nature of Death in the pantheon could really be corrupted by his mere presence. Undead gods also stay far away of the Elder God's reach.
      • However, he did got himself a fierce opposition from other Grim reapers just to keep the natural balance of death intact. Others, like Death the Horseman, are only interested in absorving the creatures powers.
    • He also has control over the N'raqui, also known as the Faceless ones, Humanoid creatures that resembles squids. They have been under conflict with the Scourge given that they are closely located to the old city of Azjol'nerub, where the nerubians hail from. Yogg-Saron has only limited himself to taunt the Lich King of his eventual fate and said that his forces will eventually succumb to his corruption.
    Yogg-Saron: No King rules forever...
    • Has an incredible control over magic, so powerful he might turn a recently cast spell into something he desires. However, his insanity prevents him from focusing in one targer, prefering to rain destruction all around him, even to the point of harming himself.
      • Given his random nature, he became best buds with the RNG.
    • "Bow down before the God of Death".
  • Exclusive to N'Zoth:
    • N'Zoth happens to be the entity behind Neltharion's corruption and eventual descent to Madness, which he later be bound to make Azeroth tremble. Rumors say that he inhabits the depths of the Oceans of Azeroth.
    • N'Zoth whole motivations, while similar to the rest of the Elder ones, are a complete mystery to everyone. He happens to be one of the few ascendants that no one has ever saw in person. That doesn't mean that his presence is not there and it is said that he can be heard whispering in either the House of Water and Moisture or Aquatic Life but no is certain if he is there.
      • Until a expedition led by Aquaman was made in order to investigate said whispers. To his horror, what they found was the real N'Zoth, who was about to transform both houses into his domain. A collective effort from all the members of said houses plus an assistance from the GUAG was enough to force The Corruptor to flee, but has since relocated with his fellow Old Gods.
    • He doesn't get particularly well with his brethen. Nobody knows why but he has wage war with both C'Thun and Yogg-Saron and their relationship has not improved in the slightest. The most common explanation is that their twisted minds make them confront each other just for their depraved entertainment.
    • N'Zoth was one of the principal sources of Corruption in the Emerald Dream and many fear that he may be able to dwell into the dreams of people too. That's why he enlisted various entities related to Nightmare, such as Atropos or Freddy Krueger.
    • He once tried to Mind Rape Darkrai into submission since he saw potential in his nightmare inducing abilities. However, Ysera was quick to intercept before he took control and saved Darkrai from his clutches.
      • As a result, Ysera has created a group specialized in countering N'Zoth Dream Corruption. So far, Brightwing, Darkrai, NiGHTS and Soldier #25954 have joined her cause. Malfurion and Tyrande have also considered lending a hand in case the Emerald Dream is in danger.
    • "I taste the essence of your soul".
  • Exclusive to Y'Shaarj:
    • Y'Shaarj was the most powerful and wicked of the Old Gods and thus, the Titans were forced to put an end to his life. With the last of his forces, he was able to create the Sha, a race of creatures that represent the bad emotions of the world and eternally cursed Pandaria with their presence.
    • Given that Y'Shaarj was Killed Off for Real and his essence disappeared entirely from his homeworld, his presence in the Pantheon is difficult to pin point, since he seems to be torn in and out of the space and time of these lands. It still doesn't negate his powers and as such has employed the mantids to figure a way to make him materialize in this plane.
      • Luckily, (And unfortunately for the rest of the Pantheon) his remains were able to be restored. Nobody is sure how he was able to be revived since the House of Life and Vitality made themselves sure to not let him return to the mortal plane. It's theorized that Nefarian is behind his revival, given the Dragon's own mysterious revival as well.
    • As stated earlier, he is in control of the mantids, a race of insectoid creatures that inhabit Pandaria and have been in constant war with the local Pandaren. However, there seems to be one particular Mantid that refuses to serve him and that would be Scyther. He has been trying to control the Pokémon with little result so far.
    • Has kind of a strained relationship with Garrosh Hellscream, given that he is responsible for his death after the orc's defeat in Ogrimmar. However, he has offered him an alliance in case he wants to taste the power of Y'Shaarj once more.
    • The Emotions are horrified that Y'Shaarj basically created the Sha, an Evil Counterpart of them after his demise. He however does not care about their opinion and has an interest in corrupting the emotions to do his bidding, which could have catastrophic results.
    • There is also a Hidden group of Sha that he personally released on the internet. The infection was so great that many pages had fallen pray to it and not even this is safe from... {◕ ◡ ◕}
    • "Gorge your hatred, embrace your rage"
  • They are also present in the House of Otherness.

  • Discord used to hold a title in the House of Villainy as the God of Disproportionately Evil Villains in Light-Hearted Shows, but his massive power level associated to a tendency to wreak chaos led to his replacement and yet another petrification by means of the Elements of Harmony. Discord's position was taken by Zero, who Discord himself admits is much better suited for the role.
  • Shortly after his second imprisonment, Princess Celestia convinced the Court of the Gods to release Discord on strict probation, claiming that Fluttershy could possibly reform his ways. Sure enough, the pegasus was able to successfully forge an odd friendship with Discord and is currently acting his Morality Pet. The other gods still exercise extreme caution when dealing with him, as without Fluttershy Discord would likely go back to his old ways, and many are not convinced that his reformation is not simply another trick.
    • Has made frequent visits to meet up with Fluttershy in the newly formed House of Friendship. Many of the gods there have asked Fluttershy how it would be best to approach Discord, but Fluttershy just responds, "Sometimes, we just need to be shown a little kindness." In fact, many gods are amazed to find how deep this friendship goes, to the point that Discord even found himself worried that Fluttershy would hate him for what he was: a being that thrived on chaos. Fluttershy doesn't care though; they are friends and it's because of Discord's chaotic nature that attracted her to him.
  • A certain story has suggested Discord may have been far worse than previously thought. Thus far, neither the princesses nor the Spirits of Harmony have commented on this.
  • Rumor has it that he has personally toyed with Jean-Luc Picard on multiple occasions in the past. Picard has so far declined to comment.
    • When Q himself ascended to the Pantheon, thus (perhaps) proving they're separate entities, he entered the draconequus's temple on his own terms... and did not lose his bearings on the World of Chaos. Once an evil Reality Warper, Discord has tried his best to clean up his image. He accepted Q's invitation and has dedicated himself to reform Q. By which that meant hanging out with lesser deities against their will and trying to help out, with insane results. Cosmos is wary of the pairing, but Princess Celestia has convinced her to let things be. The two coincidentally share the same voice, something that they liked even more. That makes pretending to be each other to Picard and Twilight even easier.
    • Speaking of Cosmos, the first time Discord heard her name, it dredged up bad memories of a body-stealing star-sailing monster that even before his reform, he was willing to work with Luna and Celestia and other leaders to take her down because even before his Heel–Face Turn, he drew the line at wanton murder. Of course, when he met her face-to-face, his fears were quickly unfounded. And when he was convinced one day to talk about that, many don't believe it, and for good reason.
  • Shares a highly antagonistic relationship with Chaos, the God of Discord due the similarities in their names and titles. Chaos thinks Discord is an immature brat, and Discord thinks Chaos is too boring and serious.
    • His relationship with the Chaos from Sailor Moon’s world is much worse though. He is absolutely disgusted by that creature being an Omnicidal Maniac and the very fact that it describes the destruction of everything as creating a new world. He was horrified to learn of it returning in the far future as Sailor Chaos, who was so powerful Sailor Cosmos was only able to force it into an endless battle with her, which quite possibly lasts indefinitely, and it still managed to kill everyone and destroy everything else. It often mocks him for giving in to The Power of Friendship, its interest in Tirek having only furthered their hatred for each other.
  • The Spirit of Chaos shares a rivalry with fellow fan favorite and Spirit of Destruction, Hexxus. Discord thinks of Hexxus that his "parking lots and shiny shopping malls" are too boring, Hexxus thinks Discord's methods are immature and juvenile. The tension between the two has gotten more heated, considering that the only person Discord currently calls his friend, Fluttershy, values trees and wildlife dearly.
  • As a chaotic entity, he also has a Complexity Addiction, which prevents him from solving things the simple way (like teleporting them away or something), which can easily be exploited against him.
  • For all his power, as proven by Tirek and Chrysalis, his chaos magic is still magic, which means it can be drained, or be nullified by an Anti-Magic field. He can't even fly with his mismatched wings. That said, one has to know how to work his magic to utilize it at his level, as Cozy Glow can attest to after she, Tirek, and Chrysalis drained his magic with the Bewitching Bell.
  • Upon hearing about Jack Skellington's plans for Halloween, Discord decided to pop in and have his own little fun with them. Jack, for the most part, was excited to see Discord make his plans for Halloween greater than he ever imagined and has asked Discord for his help for preparations, and asks that he brings Fluttershy to help out with some of the animals there (and to ensure that Discord doesn't go too far with the preparations).
  • When it comes to dreams, while one would think Discord's still just as powerful given that his magic is powered by his imagination, those whose domain are dreams (such as Princess Luna) actually trump over him. After all, he's a warper of Reality, and dreams don't tend to be in the same scope.
  • Alongside Kefka, one Yayoi Ulshade has gotten a whammy in finding out that Discord also sounds just like her grandfather. Fortunately, thanks to Fluttershy, Discord isn't as malicious to her as Kefka is, and they're adversaries as a result.
  • If Discord gets sick, he'll ask for a glass of water. And then it will escalate into this.
  • After a certain incident inflicted on him by Lord Tirek, Discord declares he now now permanently on the side of good after the things the latter did to him. And he further solidified it with his Heroes' Frontier Step during Queen Chrysalis's takeover of Equestria.
  • His followers like to play a song regarding his exploits in the past, and, needless to say, he finds it catchy. He has yet to find out about the original.
  • Several witnesses have claimed to have seen him with R-Dash 5000 units. Discord, however, says he's behind those kinds of things, and eventually got the robot scrapped and removed from the Pantheon.
  • Giratina is utterly confused as to why the Mob has compared it to Discord, and would rather not associate with him. The draconequus, on the other hand, has no comment aside from stifled laughter.
  • His hatred for Lord Brevon comes from when the warlord once kidnapped Fluttershy (though she wasn't the only one he was after) and mutated her into a monster. He was quick to storm the Dreadnought, undo the changes, and turn the warlord into a non-reproducing parasprite for a week as punishment.
  • After Queen Chrysalis captured Fluttershy for her nefarious plans, Discord has flat-out stated that his anger against her is now absolutely personal.
  • He's also been tasked to keep Alex Mercer in check back when they shared the same House before the virus moved to the House of Science. It's a task he takes with pride especially when Fluttershy has given him approval. It also concerned him a bit that there was actually something she expresses contempt for, but he's aware of Mercer's threat potential to think about it much.
  • Has gotten interested in something called "Ogres and Oubliettes" and has used his reality warping powers to recreate the game in the House of Gaming. It's an amazing hit. His character is an archer by the name of "Captain Wuzz".
  • Never thought of Matt Hardy to be a threat until the day Matt became BROKEN and sent the Cutie Mark Crusaders to Limbo. That got his attention, and he's now teaming up with Fluttershy and the other Equestrian gods to put an end to Matt's BROKEN schemes.
  • A word of advice: it is ill-advised to NOT normalize Discord. Since his entire existence revolves around chaos, trying to make him "normal" would cause him to, as Jeff Hardy likes to quote, "Fade away and classify himself as obsolete!" Discord learned this the hard way when he tried to normalize his temple for a tea-party for him and Fluttershy, only for Fluttershy to bring his temple back to a chaotic state just before he disappeared forever. This, unfortunately, has garnered the attention of the Grand United Alliance of Law, who plan to repeat this in a bid to remove him permanently.
    • Then there was the time he turned himself into the Spirit of Order, Accord. He essentially became Equestria's version of YHVH and has promised to not do that ever again.
    • As it turns out, his Chaosville dimension is the source of his powers. And with a chaotic enough mindset, someone can even take over it, too, as Pinkie Pie once did. Measures are being made to ensure that no other Chaos-minded folks stay in there too long without him, especially the really nasty types like the Joker. Pinkie wasn't even trying when she became the Princess of Chaos there; who knows what may happen when someone has a clear goal and intent in overthrowing him.
  • Upon hearing of two wrestlers living "Gothic lifestyles" moving to the Sub-House of Vampires, Discord decided to see them and was amazed how Gangrel ended up like Discord: a chaotic person who found friendship with ponies and found himself opening up even more. It also helps that the three hate Queen Chrysalis for harming their dear pony friends.
  • Someone asked if he can bring people back from the dead like he did King Sombra. His response: "How did you know that?!" and that Sombra was already a supernatural being by the time the Crystal Heart destroyed him, evading the question as a result.
  • Was asked where the hell he was During the Storm King's invasion of Canterlot, as he could've easily stopped it all from happening. He's evasive on answering this for some reason.
  • After his scheme to stage a Final Battle comprised of a Legion of Doom of previous villains to defeat in the final season blew up in his face, Cosmos came to him personally to plead that if he ever feels he has to do such a plot like that again, he should at the very least let her know about it first; The whole Manikin mess in the twelfth cycle is not something she wants so see happen again.
  • Has a spot on Philosophy, under Order and Chaos.

    Ereshkigal
Ereshkigal, Goddess of The Underworld (Irkalla, Queen of the Underworld, Goddess of the Netherworld, Queen of the Great Below, Lady of the Great Place, Rin Tohsaka, Blonde Rin, The (Red) Angel of Underworld)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ereshkigal.jpg
As a Lancer Pseudo-Servant
  • Greater Goddess (Overdeity in the Underworld)
  • Symbol: The word "lady" or "queen" in cuneiform
  • Alignment: Lawful Neutral (Chaotic Evil (kinda) as a Pseudo-Servant)
  • Portfolio: Ruler of the Underworld, Balancing Death's Books, Dark Is Not Evil, The High Queen, Loves Nergal because she can't control him, Judges the dead, Noble Demon, Reasonable Authority Figure, Rivals with her sister
  • Domain(s): Death, Judgement, Balance
  • Followers: Hell Devil
  • Herald: Nergal (her husband)
  • Special Relationship: Inanna/Ishtar (her sister)
  • Allies: The Bull of Heaven, Master of Chaldea, Hades, Persephone, Osiris, Anubis, Hel, Hela, Hecate, Thor, Apollo, Quetzalcoatl
  • Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Rin Tohsaka, Set, Ah Puch, Mephisto, Meridia
  • Enemies: Tiamat (both of them), Nagash the Undying, Nekron, Zhaitan, Kel'Thuzad, Molag Bal, Bowser
  • Ereshkigal is the Mesopotamian Goddess of the Underworld and the older sister of Inanna/Ishtar, who famously traveled into the Underworld in an attempt to overthrow Ereshkigal, though she ultimately didn't succeed. As a young girl, she was kidnapped by a dragon named Kur and taken to the Underworld, where she was forced to become the queen of the plane for eternity. Ereshkigal ruled over the dead from her palace Ganzir, which was located at the entrance to the underworld and guarded by seven gates which were kept by her faithful servant Neti. Her power also extended to the living world where, in magical ceremony, she liberated the sick possessed of evil spirits.
    • Souls who had left the world of the living were not supposed to return, and Ereshkigal made certain they remained where they belonged. If a ghost should come back to haunt the living, one could be sure it was for a good reason and with Ereshkigal's permission. The main reasons for a haunting were improper burial of the dead or impious acts which had gone unpunished. As queen and guardian of the dead, Ereshkigal stood as a potent reminder to the living to observe the proper rites and rituals in their lives and to act in the best interests of their immediate and larger communities.
    • Her first husband was the Great Bull of Heaven, Gugalana, who was eventually killed by the heroes Enkidu and Gilgamesh. Later on, Ereshkigal fell in love with Nergal, god of war and plague, who sent her food offerings during a banquet. As only the dead could remain in the underworld, he was forced to leave her. Ereshkigal was so irritated by his departure that she threatened to bring all the dead back to life. Nergal later returned to the Underworld to dethrone her to prevent the troubles she threatened to cause, but she managed to stop him from killing her by agreeing to becoming his wife and share her power with him. In actuality, she preferred it that way, because she always felt alone in her kingdom.
  • Ereshkigal originally entered the Pantheon shortly after her sister did. Hoping to keep Inanna-Ishtar under control, the gods assigned both her and Ereshkigal as Rin Tohsaka's heralds upon learning of their shared history, although none of them liked the arrangement. Eventually, after Inanna-Ishtar ascended, Ereshkigal successfully argued for her own ascension in order to continue keeping an eye on her sister.
  • Aside from her continued rivalry with Inanna-Ishtar, Ereshkigal was pleasantly surprised to be reunited with her first husband, the Bull of Heaven. Although she has since remarried to Nergal, she remains on good terms with him. However, when she learned that two versions of Tiamat were also present, she agreed to put aside her grievances with her sister in order to combat them.
  • Although she was recorded in the Throne of Heroes and became a Servant, she normally can't be summoned due to being a major goddess. However, she managed to bypass this restriction by instead possessing the body of Rin Tohsaka as a Pseudo-Servant. Unlike her sister, Ereshkigal tends to be on friendlier terms with Rin, as well as respecting her powers as a magus. Due to Rin's influence, her more possessive and yandere qualities mellow out and she's better able at displaying her more kind, caring and sincere side. Although she still tries to cultivate the image of a cold, uncaring goddess of the underworld, her attempts at doing so are hampered by her gigantic crush on the Master of Chaldea and instead she tends to come across as both adorable and pretty silly.
  • She's on good terms with fellow Underworld rulers and judges such as Hades, Persephone, Osiris, Anubis, Hel and Hela. Having generally put her duty as ruler above all else, including her own desires, she was quite happy to finally encounter kindred spirits who understand her struggle and can offer advice and companionship. However, she has also occasionally argued with Hades and Hela whenever they start acting villainous and try to usurp other gods, as she considers that to be both a waste of time and an unecessary endangerment of living people.
  • Ereshkigal became interested in meeting Hecate after being told that people tend to conflate the two of them due to them both being goddesses associated with the underworld, darkness and magic. However, upon actually meeting each other, they found that they had little in common. Nonetheless, they remain on good terms.
  • On one occasion, Ereshkigal teamed up with several Underworld deities and Hell-Lords, including Set, Ah Puch and Mephisto among others. Meeting up in Hades' realm, they had decided to merge their respective realms, thus increasing their power, and to begin taking in new souls. However, when they performed a ritual to create the nexus of the netherworlds, they also summoned the Demogorge, the God-Eater, who began consuming them one by one. Fortunately, a group of gods, which included Thor, Apollo and Quetzalcoatl, managed to defeat the Demogorge, forcing him to spit everyone, including Ereshkigal, back out. Ereshkigal has remained grateful to them for saving her and has since promised to refrain from trying to merge her realm with those of the others.
  • Due to the fact that part of her duty consists of ensuring that the dead stay in the Underworld, only allowed to leave with her permission, she quickly came to dislike necromancers such as Nagash the Undying, Nekron, Zhaitan and Kel'Thuzad.
  • She quickly became enemies with Molag Bal considering he specifically created the concept of undeath as a whole by raping a Nede woman just to spite Arkay, the God of Life and Death. To combat Molag Bal, Ereshkigal reluctantly allied with Meridia, his Arch-Enemy. While Meridia possesses a hatred for the undead, she goes straight into overzealousness when committing to their destruction as she is willing to sacrifice the living if it means achieving a greater good, even if that includes her own loyal followers. While Meridia respects Ereshkigal's dedication to her duty, the two still tend to argue due to Meridia's belief that everything and anything she does is good and anyone who disagrees is clearly in the wrong.
  • Having been kidnapped by a dragon as a young girl, Ereshkigal became enemies with Bowser, who is quite well-known for frequently kidnapping Princess Peach. Not wanting to have a confrontation with her, he generally tries to stay out of her way.

  • The setting of the Wanted comic book was once like many superhero comics. But on 1986, the supervillains teamed up together and finally achieved dominance. But destroying all the superheroes of the world was not enough; they altered reality so that no-one would remember superheroes or supervillains existed outside of comic books, while the latter secretly ruled the world. To be a member of the Fraternity is to be a cold-blooded supervillain above the law, capable of killing police officers and assaulting celebrities with no repercussion. And to be a member of the Fraternity is to be free of punishment unless you anger another supervillain.
  • The Fraternity's ascension was because of Melkor and Angra Mainyu wanting to show off a universe where evil has won and continues to win, however they consider their ascension to be negative; the reason the Fraternity doesn't rule openly is because otherwise all the superheroes in the multiverse would be on their asses. However the GUAG flat out doesn't care that they limit themselves to one reality and believe whatever the universe, the power systems of evil must be dismantled. The Council of Five was forced to invest in the help of Melkor and other evil entities to maintain their status quo, and in return their world will serve as an asylum for the GUAE. This arrangement has become more agreeable as some of the saner members of the GUAE are fine towing the rules the Fraternity has.
  • Ahura Mazda regards the existence of the Fraternity to be an affront to all that is good, and plans to prove to them that the Karma Houdini trope, in his own words, "does not exist so long as I draw breath". Resisting the God of Good has further put the Fraternity under Melkor and Angra Mainyu's debt; enough that some have speculated Melkor had saw that this would happen and ascended them because he knew he could exploit it. Others don't think they were clever enough to put that idea together but instead of thinking it was a fortunate coincidence for the gods of evil claim it was a tactic orchestrated by King Piccolo; his may be a more Anarcho-Tyranny fashion of evil ruling, but he was still jubilant at the Fraternity and their Villain World ascending.
  • Among the heroic and anti-heroic deities looking to "clean house" are Felonius Gru and the Boys. The latter are absolutely justified in hating the supes of the Fraternity. The former is part of the Anti-Villain League, and even when he was a bad guy he was never comparable to the Fraternity's depravity. Among the villainous deities wanting to eradicate the Fraternity are Light Yagami, Misa Amane, John Doe, and Zamasu. Misa holds a special repulsion for Wesley as he once raped a celebrity and got away with it, while Light and John see the Fraternity in reality close to how corrupt they see the world in their own minds. Zamasu wishes to exterminate a world that would allow evil to prosper, though of course that includes the human population as he considers them little better than the Fraternity. While everybody could point out Zamasu's hypocrisy at this point, nobody would mourn him destroying the Fraternity.
  • The asylum the Fraternity gives to supervillains, so long as they aren't too reckless, has been a boon to Roarks Senior and Junior. They feel a lot more safe in their world than in the Trope Pantheon as a whole, though they would prefer it if their home city would ascend one day. Diavolo found it a good place to be a recluse, which caught the attention of Bucciarati's gang. As they use organized crime to help people, the gang was appalled by the Fraternity basically being a global organized crime unit so its members can do whatever cruelties they want without repercussion. Finally for villains seeking asylum there were the Slavers, who were promised with the backing of the Fraternity they can continue their sex trafficking ring without consequences.
  • The Fraternity is currently being led by Eminem-looking Wesley Gibson. (something that Deadpool won't let go, always calling his phone to play Slim Shady songs - along with asking if Wesley will ever make good of the threat he made in the final page, Wade's very up to it!) He's the son of the Killer, one of the greatest supervillains to live. He was set up to inherit his job and managed to work his way up to the top. He used to be a total loser who's girlfriend was cheating on him, and while he thinks of himself as a badass he's really just a smug prick who thinks he can do what he wants as a supervillain. He's similar to Hal Stewart except smarter and(in some ways) tougher. While they are able to work together for their own goals, and have similar self-entitlement issues, Hal thinks some of the stuff he's done is fucked up. Given Wesley raped a celebrity and got away with it, and killed a nice old man just for being somewhat annoying, Hal is justified in questioning him.
  • Naturally Wesley is hated by rape victims like Casca and protectors of women, many of whom could kick his ass and point out how much of a degenerate little prick he is. He's smart enough to not stay away from him and ignore their goading by saying he's a coward on top of things. Besides them Wesley is also on Catwoman's shitlist. He hit on her as his love/lust interest the Fox is similar to her, though a full villain rather than an Anti-Hero. Selina knows what he's done, finds him repulsive for other reasons as well, and hopes to never meet the Fox. And then she decided to get under his skin.
Selina Kyle: "You bemoaned your ex-girlfriend blatantly cheating on you, but after having met you it's obvious why she did so".
  • Wesley is extremely talented in markmanship, being able to shoot the flies off wings. Sometimes you can find him in the firing range portion of the Hall of Firearms along with other villains. Some snarkier villains asked "I'm surprised you didn't get live target practice", causing him to reply "just because I'm a supervillain doesn't mean I have to be evil 100% of the time". Soon afterwards he had to quickly dodge out of the way of Frank Castle, who while a killer regards him as criminal scum. The shoot-out that ensued led him to crash into Patrick Bateman's department. After they got off the Punisher's tail the two bonded in their similarities; psychotic, venal asshats who think their status lets them do whatever they want while simultaneously bemoaning any slights. The Punisher merely responded to this newfound friendship with "those slights should be bullets".
  • The picture of the Council of Five, the Fraternity's ruling group, is out of date but it's the only picture they currently have. Each member rules over a continent. The Professor ruled over both American continents, and for an implied pederast who engineered the superhero genocide he's a surprisingly friendly fellow. He seems to be the Lex Luthor of the group, and had his own Bizarro equivalent; he's interested in the original. He and Lex Luthor sometimes work together. Other still-aligned members of the Council are Adam One, a Vandal Savage-type immortal supervillain who rules Africa, and The Emperor, a Chinese supervillain who rules Asia.
  • Though heroes in general hate the Fraternity, the DC and Marvel superheroes hold a particular loathing for it as many of their members remind them of their own supervillains. The fact that the DC and Marvel multiverses existed came as a shock to the Fraternity, as they could swear they were instead based off the real superheroes that used to exist for them. Some of the more bored members of the Fraternity snuck over to their universes for combat, but this has been heavily discouraged as their ascension into the pantheon has put a lot of pressure into maintaining their Karma Houdini status.
  • Prime Minister Honest considers the world of the Fraternity to be his personal utopia, where he can bask in the inherent corruption forever. And it's for that very same reason Night Raid wishes to exterminate the villains. The Spectre's reaction to a world of karma houdinis was far more hostile; he lost his shit completely and not only inflicted Cruel and Unusual Death on the villains, but completely destroyed the world they live in as he saw it as completely corrupt. The Presence had to yank the Spectre away for punishment of been blinded in the red mist, and push the Reset Button. However every villain remembers the rampage upon their resurrection and have been deeply shaken. Melkor made sure to capitalize on it by him and Angra Mainyu working to prevent something like that from happening again.
  • The Godhand support the Fraternity and their status quo as it follows the "do as thou wilt" and spreading evil/despair that they and the Idea of Evil enjoy. Molag Bal supports them as well since he admires their domination of their world and general cruelty. Unlike Melkor or Angra Mainyu the Fraternity doesn't mind the Daedra since he is good help against the likes of Nemesis; they're terrified of her shutting their organization down given she always makes it her duty to ensure there is no such thing as a Karma Houdini.
  • The organization doesn't really have standards, which some villainous deities in the pantheon disagree with. Crow, for instance, is all about villainous victories but he considers the Fraternity's cruelties "not worth it". However they are about practicality. They refuse to let the Joker join as he reminds them of the disgraced Council of Five member Mr Rictus, who wanted to rule openly and didn't give a damn about this getting the attention of heroes across the multiverse. Basically if you're Stupid Evil, they don't want you. They tolerate the antics of the Brave Companions to an extent, but only because they can easily be blamed as a scapegoat and are willing to tow the line if they get their requisite fill of brutality.
  • They are somewhat hesitant working with Nazis, mainly for how The Future defected with Mr Rictus because he was tired of waiting to establish a second Holocaust. The Red Skull considers many of them degenerate unternmensch, however he tolerates working with them because he needs the help to establish his Nazi empire within his own universe; they have less standards than most Marvel supervillains so the Skull takes the help he can get. Schwarze Sonne would rather take over the Fraternity's world, but they would also accept "merely" ruling their moon.
  • Some have noticed that the year of their takeover, 1986, was when the last issues of Crisis on Infinite Earths, and wonder if there's any correlation. They refuse to bring it up, and like just about everyone dread the idea of facing the Anti-Monitor. The Fraternity are also opponents of the GUAD; they may be nihilistic super-villains, but they prefer being alive and see no profit in being an Omnicidal Maniac. In attempt to defend themselves from the GUAD and encourage the GUAG to get off their back, they've reluctantly aided them in fighting against the GUAD and given some technology to help them...but only against the GUAD. None of the Council of Five were all that happy about it.
  • It's been rumored the Fraternity was in fact the organization that was funding Nemesis' thrill seeking as a supervillain. Given the extremes he went to, including kidnapping the president, if they were funding him it was probably at the behest of Mr Rictus. There's also the fact they share an author. Nemesis isn't in the mood to reveal anything about himself, but he was happy to be an official member of the Fraternity.
  • The Crime Syndicate was rather impressed by the Fraternity's iron-clad rule over their world, especially since unlike their Mirror Universe the deck was initially stacked against them. They're still going to try and take it over though, as they would really love to pull whatever trick allowed the Fraternity's Cosmic Retcon of the heroes to get rid of the Justice League of America. Aku meanwhile feels their world run by evil is "boring", preferring that they run it as an Anarcho-Tyranny like himself. They refuse as that would end up biting them in the ass, and rightfully believe Aku just wants to take them over. Aku's response was "not if you play your cards right!" As the future that is Aku was undone in part because of Aku's needless dickery (ie: wasting his time figuring how to execute him and awakening Ashi's powers by controlling her, including time travel) the Fraternity have a point.
  • Junko Enoshima has also called the Fraternity boring, and so has HIM. HIM actually succeeded in conquering the world in a Bad Future and was an openly cruel tyrant, however the Fraternity retorted that this was because his main obstacles were gone; they still have to worry about getting attention from superheroes from other universes. They have also made it clear to Junko they want a sustainable despotism; they spread despair through making the world cynical and accepting of the status quo they covertly established, not through fetishizing itnote  on a global scale. Big Brother approved of this as a more sustainable method of tyranny, but wishes the Fraternity could focus more on enforcing despair.
  • Unlike most who think their world was "boring", Apocalypse actually has a reason beyond sadism; it doesn't promote strength and allows them to grow weak. The Fraternity simply responded with "we don't care". Dimentio considers their world boring less because he's a psycho (though he's also that), but doesn't think it fits his idea of "a perfect world". No-one's sure what this would be besides a general To Create a Playground for Evil, and while the Fraternity have their own take on the trope the fact he was willing to destroy everything if he couldn't live to rule everything makes him too unstable to be a potential partner. Dimentio thinks they're hypocrites as he can absolutely imagine a group with no belief or value system than pragmatism having no compunctions with destroying the world if they've completely lost.
  • There are villains out there who created their own world that were willing to work with in full. They vetoed joining with Zim despite his victory in a Bad Future because regardless of the timeline he's an idiot, and the two Megatron as while they've taken over Cybertron in some universes they have at best a disdain for organic life. However Palpatine and Ganondorf, who are both intelligent and have held power in their setting for years, were considered perfectly acceptable business partners. They have also promised to make the Bad Future of many villains where they won the future. Of note:
    • Dr Wily had a universe where thanks to his main obstacles being sent 30 years into the future, he took over. He still had resistance however, and this future was undone when said obstacles returned to the present. Though most incarnations think that Wily's a madman for the whole "pull the moon out of the orbit" he is accepting of the Fraternity's support to make this a reality; he wants time travel to complete Zero much earlier and not have to digitize himself into the virus.
    • Dr Eggman has done Wily one better and conquered the world without the Reset Button being pulled in a number of continuities, eventually succeeding in the main one within the events of Sonic Forces. He still lost control, but points for trying. For the most part the Fraternity and Eggman can work with one another, but they are hesitant on his more crazy incarnations who would threaten the world itself, or outright destroy it if they cannot rule. They have a less severe dynamic with the Shredder, who managed to take over the world in a Bad Future; he's usually fine working with them, but sometimes he's not that interested in their lofty ambitions and with the Utrom incarnation they consider him too unstable. Trying to destroy the TMNT multiverse because you can't accept your nemesis will exist across it is tactidly insane as far as the Fraternity is concerned.
    • Many MLP villains were informed that thanks to time travel there were timelines where they won. They jumped on joining the Fraternity to make these timelines mainstream reality, with the exception of King Sombra; his ego means he refuses to work with anyone. Discord went incognito in hopes of ruining their plans.
  • They are aware of the movie Wanted, but disregard it since beyond the broad strokes it doesn't have a lot in common with their world. The Fraternity there are a bunch of assassins, not supervillains. At most, they accepted the movie's theme song, which the Fraternity admits helps set the mood before a day's work.

    Jareth
Jareth, King of the Living Labyrinth (Goblin King)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/david-bowie646654_1633.jpg
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: A crystal ball with his labyrinth inside it.
  • Theme Song: Underground and Magic Dance
  • Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
  • Portfolio: Goblin King, grants wishes without question with less than desirable results, can transform himself into an owl, Unlimited Wardrobe, pants that highlight his package, has many songs in his head, Reality Warper, romantic interest in Sarah
  • Domains: Mazes, Goblins, Crystals, Wishes, Owls, Royalty
  • Heralds: His goblin army, the Fireys
  • Avatar: David Bowie
  • Allies: The Muppets, the Black Queen of Sogo, Tamatoa, Redcloak
  • Enemies: King Oberon AKA Nobuyuki Sugou, Kyubey
  • Circumstancial alliances: Balthier
  • Annoyed by: The Nostalgia Critic
  • Opposed by: The Puella Magis
  • Respects: Skarsnik (one-sided)
  • Jareth is the magical ruler of a land of fairies who one day acceded to the reckless wish of a teenage girl called Sarah to take her baby brother Toby away from her. When Sarah tried to recant, Jareth brought her to his realm and challenged her to retrieve the baby herself by venturing through his city-labyrinth or else Toby would become one of his goblins. As he watched her progress, throwing all manner of obstacles in her way, he grew more and more infatuated with her. When he and Sarah had their final showdown, her growth as person throughout her journey allowed her to overcome Jareth's magic and return to her world with Toby despite the king's pleading for her to become his queen. And so Jareth lost and remained as a lonely Goblin King.
  • Being a much beloved villain in an iconic fantasy film made his ascension to the Pantheon pretty much guaranteed, and what else would he ascend for but the labyrinth he's so proud of? His temple couldn't be anything else but his castle surrounded by that very same labyrinth he's ascended for, which is sure to provide some fun for the more adventurous deities.
  • David Bowie lending his likeness to him is a big reason why Jareth is so remembered, and why he has a talent for catchy musical numbers, so Jareth is grateful to the man. Balthier is also noted for resembling Bowie, though it's a coincidence in his case. Sometimes Jareth's goblins mistakenly regard Bowie and Balthier as their masters. Jareth, to his credit, finds this amusing and doesn't hold it against them (both his lookalikes and his goblins).
    • Tamatoa is another noted Bowie-alike, not due to any physical similarities (Tamatoa is a giant crab), but because he also has a preference for glam rock and flamboyancy. The first time Jareth and Tamatoa met, Tamatoa was attracted to Jareth's shiny crystal balls and tried to kill him and take them, but Jareth easily overpowered him while singing a song at the same time. Tamatoa was actually impressed with how groovy and stylish Jareth was and joined him in a duet, and the crab decided he preferred having the Goblin King as a friend. Jareth sealed the deal by creating some crystal balls specifically to add to Tamatoa's treasure, convincing the crab he made the right decision.
  • He rarely leaves his castle without a purpose, but when he does he may be disguising himself as a random goblin so that people don't notice him. If he gets really ticked off, Jareth will reveal himself and summon the Cleaners to squish the offender.
  • Is on somewhat friendly but mostly distant terms with the Muppets, due to them having a shared creator in the form of the Jim Henson Company, and Jareth sees them as similar to his goblins. Being much more powerful than them, Jareth may help them out of some hassle sometimes, but it's not a common occurrence. Kermit would like to cultivate their relationship by inviting him to the show to perform his famous songs someday.
  • While a good number of deities love making jokes about his "package", which Jareth has learned to ignore, the Nostalgia Critic is particularly keen on cracking those jokes whenever they cross paths, to the point where he came up with a top ten. The knowledge that NC has a whole Internet full of dick jokes that'll never run out and will keep the meme alive depresses Jareth somewhat, considering those jokes sometimes eclipse his other characteristics.
  • Nobuyuki Sugou likes to compare himself to Jareth due to how they're both rulers over fairy lands. Although, Sugou is only a fairy land ruler in a video game, and he's been deposed by Kirito and forbidden from ever donning that persona again. Nevertheless, Sugou has tried to approach Jareth and paint himself as a victim of Kirito and Asuna in order to try and convince the Goblin King to help him regain his power in ALO. Jareth, however, isn't easily fooled and heard the other side of the story from Kirito and Asuna, and was disgusted at what a lying coward Sugou turned out to be, refusing any connection with him. Comparing Jareth's infatuation with Sarah and Sugou's obsession with Asuna also sets his teeth on edge, as Jareth never once attempted to force himself on Sarah and he's more than a little disgusted with Sugou's actions towards Asuna. When it was clear he wouldn't get any help from the Goblin King, Sugou threw another one of his screeching tantrums about being god and how Jareth was nothing, so they're definitely far from chummy.
  • Jareth got along much better with the Black Queen of Sogo, who has a lot in common with the Goblin King such as being flamboyant rulers of cities surrounded by labyrinths, and they also pine for their respective heroines while said heroines don't give them the time of day. At the same time the Black Queen isn't quite as pushy, cowardly or despicable as Sugou, which is a great comfort to Jareth, and he tries to help her in her method of wooing Barbarella. Jareth is considering trying it with Sarah, though it hasn't exactly been a success for the Black Queen.
  • Was left scratching his head at how Didymus managed to ascend and yet there's still no sign of his beloved Sarah. Jareth sometimes even goes down the list of tropes to see if there's anything available for her. As for Didymus, he doesn't pay him much mind despite his declared hostility, as there's little the fox-like goblin can do by himself against the power of the Goblin King.
  • The Puella Magis are no fans of him due to his penchant for granting questionable wishes to girls who might not be thinking things through, and justifying his actions as good because he was only giving Sarah what she desired. In short, he really reminds them of Kyubey, another seedy wish granter who preys on vulnerable girls. However, and as hypocritical as it may seem from him, Jareth doesn't like Kyubey, as he despises how deceptive the false mascot is, withholding information from the girls and giving them no chance to recant. Thus he also feels sorry for the girls due to what the Magical Girl lifestyle entails for them.
  • As far as interactions with other goblins go, Jareth has sympathy for Redcloak wanting to protect their shared kind from humans, especially paladins. The Goblin King has pledged to support Redcloak in his goal; if he didn't, he'd arguably be failing all of his subjects.
    • Jareth also has a lot of respect for Skarsnik on account of him being a rare smart goblin, not unlike him. However this respect is rather one-sided as Skarsnik doesn't consider a pretty, humanoid boy like Jareth to really be a goblin. The Warlord is even a bit offended that someone as un-goblin-like as Jareth claims to lead his kind.

    SCP-001 (Dr. Clef's Proposal)
SCP-001 (Dr. Clef's Proposal), Divine Guardian of the Garden of Eden (The Gate Guardian, Jophiel, (not?) Archangel Uriel, maybe Dr. Alto Clef)

  • Respected by: Cheems
  • Feared by: SCP-073 and 076-2, the OG Cain and Abel, Rene Belloq, Zs'sakyr, Necrozma, Cronus, Maxwell Lord
  • Annoyed by: Leeroy Jenkins
  • The SCP-001 article is perhaps the SCP Foundation's highest-guarded secret; scrolling down the 001 page without proper clearance will result in a memetic kill agent being used. Dozens of possible 001 articles are proposed, supposedly to hide the real article. Maybe none of them are true, maybe multiple are true, maybe they all are. One of the most well-known of these is Dr. Clef's proposal: the Gate Guardian. A 700 cubit-tall flaming angel with between 2 and 108 wings that is ever-vigilant and guarding the gate for a garden located in the intersection of the Tigris and Euphrates river. Context cluesnote  strongly imply that the Gate Guardian the fiery cherub guarding the Garden of Eden. Their(her?) name is almost certainly Jophiel.
  • The O5 Council were utterly outraged that any 001 proposal has gone public in the Trope Pantheon, however they've been unable to undo the Gate Guardian's ascension. Fortunately for them the Court of the Gods is unable to determine if the fiery cherub is actually the real SCP-001, and were smart enough to build the temple for the Gate Guardian around where it already is while only letting those in the Trope Pantheon know of their existence. The Gate Guardian remains affixed to their spot, but was able to be more talkative to the pantheon in order to acquire support. There are some notes on Dr. Clef that his "casting humanity out of Eden" means they are one in the same. However it's important to remember there is no canon and Dr. Clef is a notorious liar. Even that interpretation could suggest Dr. Clef is Adam or the Serpent. They haven't been observed in one place though, but that might just be Clef trying to keep up the lie.
  • If its SCP article is to be believed, the Gate Guardian inspired the creation of the SCP Foundation by ordering its founder to "PREPARE". This hasn't stopped them from testing weapons and durability on the Gate Guardian though since while benevolent, its still a flaming angel that can incinerate anyone within a 1 kilometer radius. The Men in Black have been aiding in keeping what's probably Angel Jophiel under the wraps, which the fiery cherub is more tolerant of because they don't shoot at it. Usually they'll just order "FORGET" to anyone who gets close to the death radius so they're ordered to leave and forget what happened. The Purple Man once made the boneheaded move to command it with his Compelling Voice. This did absolutely nothing and he widely heeded the command to "LEAVE", but is still super bitter about the whole experience. Maxwell Lord tried to do one better and command the Gate Guardian. Predictably his head exploded and he respawned curled up in the fetal position, crying.
  • Instead of going to other temples, the Gate Guardian has people come in a close but safe enough distance to their temple. If the Gate Guardian ever leaves the entrance to the Garden Of Eden it's brown trousers time as a message from [DATA EXPUNGED] years into the future shows it will happen just before an XK-Class end of the world scenario. It is theorized that if this happens in the Trope Pantheon the GUAD are about to have a major victory. As a heavenly figure presumably sent down by God the Gate Guardian holds contempt for the organization since they'd end the world too soon and permanently. Surtr and Apophis have come to believe they can "force" the issue by slaying or at least removing the possible SCP-001 from its spot. The angel responded with THERE IS NO MERCY FOR YOU, ONLY THE LAKE OF FIRE.
  • It's unknown if the Gate Guardian lets other angelic beings into the Garden of Eden, but they've been recorded as a lot more chatty around them. While the Castlevania version of Satan isn't welcome, most in the Hall of Angels have a cordial relationship with the fiery cherub. Among those they consider friends is Whis, as they have a mutual respect of their strong work ethic. While even the Gate Guardian admits the Universe 7 angel could probably No-Sell them, Whis chooses not to as it'd be very unbecoming of him. Assuming they aren't the dickish kind versions of the Judeo-Christian God are permitted full access to the Garden of Eden even if they aren't the same God the Gate Guardian takes orders under. The Alpha and Omega has been recorded giving them a pep talk to help with their work environment.
  • Given the Biblical connotations with the Gate Guardian followers of any of the Abrahamic faiths are fascinated by it and much to the SCP Foundation's chagrin the Dr. Clef's proposal for SCP-001 hasn't been ordering them away so long as they keep a good distance away from it. Fortunately, they're able to prevent the information from leaking out to non-pantheonic beings through either amnestics or claiming the pictures are photoshopped/some big hoax. Rene Belloq has helped the Foundation with the cover story since he's still traumatized over his last experience with holy phenomena and wants there to be as little press coverage for "Jophiel" as possible. Opposing his effort was Cheems of all people, since he respects the Gate Guardian for having the power of the godly "bonk". Doge doesn't understand where he's coming from and has bemoaned Cheems attempted to convince the SCP to use their sword against any horny being within their eyesight.
  • The Gate Guardian isn't just friendly with those from Abrahamic religion. Despite the rivalry between the Ancient Egyptians and Israelites, they like to chat with the sun god Ra as they see one another as luminous protectors of humanity, even if the angel isn't as pro-active. Ra still isn't allowed in the Garden, but he understands as the angel has a job to do. Sometimes Jophiel(or is it Uriel?) is invited for small-talk. The Gate Guardian's time observing the Hall of Light and Brightness has led them to curse out the Light of Destruction as "BALEFUL RADIATION!" and warn Necrozma to never eye their luminance greedily. The latter wisely heeded the angel's words. The Hall of Darkness and Shadow has taken notes not to incur the possible SCP-001's wrath as well, however Chernabog continues to resent their holiness and light. Plus he's salty at being stuck in a mountain against his will, while the Gate Guardian stays where they are willingly.
  • Keel Lorenz has expressed interest in entering the Garden of Eden as part of his Instrumentality project, and belief that the Trees of Knowledge and Life will suit his purposes. The Angels have shown interest in what's there, and they don't take no for an answer. The hot as the sun blade of the Gate Guardian cut through their AT Field like butter, and they gave the head of SEELE the order "LEAVE. NOW" They weren't the only deities who lusted after the potential for power the Garden of Eden offers; Father desired ascension to godhood there. Whether or not the garden would benefit him, just like SEELE and the Angels, has remained unanswered with the order of "BEGONE, SERPENT IN THE FLASK", but it's not like the homunculus won't try again. Truth has been supporting Jophiel(or is it Uriel) in keeping forbidden fruit from greedy idiots since then.
  • It is theorized that the Saint of Killers could shoot the Gate Guardian dead, though its far more likely the angel would strike at the bullets and disintegrate them before they could reach it. Despite his history with holy figures the Saint doesn't have any intention of testing that theory since its not like the Gate Guardian is a dick who messes with people. Spawn, who's dealt with jackasses both holy and unholy, has to respect how the fiery cherub is a responsible being who seems to value humanity. How Clef's SCP-001 proposal feels about them has yet to be seen, but they do hold a positive opinion on the Spectre. The Spectre has asked if he could help out the entity, but they've only asked for YHVH to stop bothering them with a job application. They felt the same for Lucifer's job application.
  • The SCP Foundation tried to hire Lobo to bypass the 1 kilometer death range because of his Healing Factor and the fact that being Barred from the Afterlife means he cannot possibly be destroyed. His response was "FRAG NO!" because dealing with the Gate Guardian would hurt like a bastitch. This isn't all too surprising since even SCP-076-2 refuses to approach the angel. No other version of Cain or Abel wants to be anywhere near the angel that cast their parents out of Eden, and the future message suggests 076-2 and 073 are only getting in when the apocalypse is on the horizon. Later on, almost certainly as a joke, they sent Leeroy Jenkins who's stubborn stupidity had him eager to raid the Garden of Eden...and he immediately was incinerated after being Chaotic Stupid enough to ignore the Gate Guardian's warning. Because Death Is Cheap he respawned and tried again, to the angel's immense frustration.
  • Dr. Clef's proposal for SCP-001 was inevitably used as a means of terminating SCP-682. Unlike almost everything 682 lived, albeit incredibly wounded. The Hard-To-Kill Reptile claimed that the Gate Guardian was not Uriel and insinuated they were an imposter, and "Uriel" told them to REMOVE 682. Dialogue from the two imply that SCP-682 was the Serpent who tempted Adam and Eve into eating the fruit. As this is 682 we're talking about, he's probably lying. The Gate Guardian has been shown as possessing next to no mercy for gods who identify as Satan, especially the one from Paradise Lost who was the Serpent. For similar reasons they'll deal swiftly with Crowley if he comes close. Melkor can also expect being immediately struck down given his seemingly endless list of sins, with the "destroying the Two Lamps that were replaced by the Sun and the Moon" being the first sin the they bring up.
  • Thief actually managed to steal from the Garden of Eden without bursting into flames...for all of ten seconds. The Gate Guardian immediately sprinted to incinerate him with [REDACTED] degrees Kelvin that would've ended him had he not prepared blackmail on multiple Deaths. Since he hasn't tried it again it's safe to say he learned his lesson. Ungoliant and Hexxus certainly didn't learn from this and tried to work together; the latter wanted to ruin the Garden of Eden to make a supreme parking lot and the former wanted to feed off the glorious luminance. The SCP Foundation immediately interfered and with the help of the Valar the attempt failed; there's a small chance the spider might be able to leech off the Gate Guardian and they do not want to take any chances.
  • Though it is generally believed that Overdeities and some literal gods could take out the Gate Guardian, the SCP Foundation is extremely hesitant in letting that happen. Their weapon-based experiments on the anomaly were used to test its effective kill range; they do not want to take it out as while they aren't co-operative per-say, the Gate Guardian is still an important figure they're better off keeping alive. They've advised any and all vampires and those in the Hall of Vampires to stay the hell away for their own safety, given how intensely luminous what may be SCP-001 is.
  • The Gate Guardian has been a strong deterrent against the likes of Zs'skayr who reacted with mortal terror at its name. Cronus has also shown fear given in the timeline of SCP-1730 it tasseled with SCP-2845, a deer god who's attributesnote  make it similar in nature to the Titan. In spite of the dread the Gate Guardian has brought, Takuto Maruki has an interest in it due to his past association with the Garden of Eden; a version of the place served as the last leg of his Palace. However he's a different man now, and he's smart enough to keep a healthy distance from what might be the SCP-001.

Intermediate Gods

    Evil the Cat
Evil the Cat, Ruler of Hell-Based Levels (Evil)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/screenshot_2023_07_02_165643.png
"I'm watching TV."
  • Like Jim's enemies, he's also made a foe in Klaymen, another creation from Jim's creator. For Evil, he first encountered him while Klaymen was wondering around Heck, clearly lost. It didn't take long for Evil to attempt to kill the poor guy, though thankfully Klaymen was able to outmaneuver him by a combination of clever wit and sheer luck (Okay, mostly luck). Long story short, it somehow ended with a cow falling on Evil, with the diabolical cat swearing revenge on the Klay figure. On the opposite side of the spectrum, he's made allies with his enemy, Klogg, who's willing to help the cat get revenge. While Evil isn't really impressed with Klogg, mostly regarding him as a Harmless Villain, he is still perfectly willing to join forces with the guy.
  • Seeing how their leader is Lucifer himself, one would assume Evil would join the GUAC because of that. It seemed like it at first, with the two Devils meeting up one day to apparently discuss recruitment. It wasn't until they tried shaking hands that Evil then spat on his hand and reveal why he was really there: to reveal he's already joined the GUAD, and is hell-bent on destroying the universe. However, Lucifer, completely unimpressed, also revealed that he already knew in the first place, and was just playing along with Evil. How? Simple, Evil basically screamed his intensions the second after he introduced himself when entering the Pantheon. It wasn't hard to decipher which side he was going to play on after that. Other than that, the two left, surprisingly without much incident, although Evil's still a bit grumpy about how his attempt at intimidation failed.
  • His theme song is notable amongst other's themes as it at first starts out as a rendition of Night On Bald Mountain, a song notorious for its sinister buildup and being associated with the dark god Chernabog... only to suddenly change into elevator music, thus sharply contrasting to the horrors you'll be seeing around there. When asked exactly why this was the case, Evil claimed that Elevator Music was "The evilest music in the universe", which, considering what his universe is like, probably shouldn't be too surprising. That said, the aforementioned Chernabog actually found it hilarious, and has decided to ally himself with the feline out of amusement. Him being another fellow Hell Lord certainly helped.
  • Unsurprisingly, he has found himself visiting the House of Demons, seeing how he himself is basically The Devil of his universe. For Example:
    • The day he met The Devil of the South Park universe is the day he discovered he was capable of pity. While he himself isn't much more dignified, he still feels awful for him, seeing how what is supposed to be the most evil being in his universe is somehow less evil than some random little kid. At least Evil plans to eradicate the universe. SP!Satan's a bit wary of him, considering his goals, but he still appreciates the company at least.
    • On a more legitimate partnership, he has found an ally in the form of Him, who's also his universes equivalent of The Devil, and is more or less just as humorous and silly as Evil, if more of a legitimate threat. This is thanks to Him being amused by the fact that Jim's devil is a cat who watches TV all day, and Evil finding his campiness amusing if nothing else. They can often be seen watching TV together on their days off, which, yes, they do in fact have. They have lives too, you know.
    • Whenever he comes across Malebolgia, he will always rub in the fact that, seeing how Malebolgia at first seemed like the ruler of hell but turned out to merely be an underling to the real devil, Evil technically has a higher rank than he does, seeing as Evil is the De-facto ruler of Planet Heck. Of course, there's the problem that Malebolgia is stronger than Evil by quite a bit, and so anytime this happens, expect Evil to go through a Cruel and Unusual Death. While Evil usually recovers thanks to the whole Nine Lives thing, he never seems to learn his lesson when he sees him again.
  • Now, Evil was actually quite aware of the Pantheon for quite some time. This is possible due to having been once a follower of one Katz, the sociopathic Serial Killer Con Man feline who constantly antagonizes Courage. Seeing as Evil is more powerful than Katz usually is, it was relatively easy to sway him into joining Evil as his minion. While Katz isn't really intimidated by the demonic cat, being a goof and all, he was wise enough to know that getting on his bad side is probably a bad idea regardless, and besides, Heck offers many chances to torture and play with his victims, so he accepted the offer.
    • Obviously, this has earned an enemy out of Katz nemesis, Courage, who's exasperated at now having to deal with two evil cats in the Pantheon. Amusingly, Courage doesn't actually find most of the stuff in Heck that scary, really. Unpleasant, sure, but compared to what he's seen, it's pretty tame. Hell, he actually likes the elevator music down there, something that utterly baffles Evil, who again believes that the music is "The evilest in the galaxy!"
  • As his ultimate goal, Evil plots to eradicate the whole universe as we know it, seemingly because he's, well, Evil. The thing is, among the things destroyed by his plans would inevitably be Heck itself, and more importantly, Evil himself. This is less because he's insane enough to eradicate himself alongside everyone else, and more of not really considering the consequences of such actions. Dr. Doofenshmirtz is one of the more prominent Gods to try and convince him how badly his plan could backfire, having been a victim of this many times and is usually humble enough to admit his mistakes, but Evil refuses to listen to the doctor.
  • One of the more baffling aspects of Jim's universe is that, apparently, Vacuum Cleaners are Dog-exclusive one-way portals to Heck. No, we're not joking. In the Pantheon, it seems that any Temple near Heck is affected by this phenomenon, as seen first hand by Roombo, a Roomba who tends to kill anyone unfortunate enough to trespass in his owners house. One such attack involved a Bunch of feral dogs getting in, and after doing his usual job, swept up the remains and called it a day. Meanwhile, in Heck, Evil was wondering where all the feral dog corpses were coming from, especially since they look more roughed up than Heck usually gets away with.
  • As a deity obsessed with destruction that also happens to be a cat, Evil took an interest in the God of Destruction, Beerus, thinking that he has great potential, and sought after him to possible join forces. When he finally got to him, however, he discovered that the God was completely uninterested in both him and his goals, mostly just thinking that Evil is just, well, a cat. Enraged by the disrespect he was showing, he started attacking the god out of anger. It ended as well as you'd expect. Evil has since held a grudge against Beerus for that, not that the latter really cares much.

  • Conflicting Opinions: Bigby Wolf, Snow White (Both from the Fables fame)
  • Once upon a time, there was an 8-year-old girl by the name of Gertrude, who wished she could be taken away to a fantasy world full of joy and cheer. Thankfully, her wish came true and all she had to do was let go of her real life...
  • She first became aware of her ascension when during a day at work she received an e-mail detailing that she was approved for a place much more flexible with how long you want to stay and exciting than Fairyland and telling her how to get there by walking through her closet. Given how her current job was working in a cubicle for Mr. Keys and how annoying he and the other people there were to her, she decided to at least give it a shot, if only to find out how these people know about her and her long trip to Fairyland.
    • When first arriving into the Pantheon, she was shocked to find out that she was once more a kid surrounded by the Court Of the Gods, and quickly demanded to find out what was going on. The Gods there responded saying that they were watching over Gertrude’s adventure through Fairyland and were impressed with the fact that she managed to finally go back home after so long, that they decided to invite her into the Pantheon, which they assured her was very different and nicer than Fairyland, stating the differences being that Gertrude was able to change from her child or adult form at any time in the Pantheon, get actual help from other people without any hints or riddles blocking her way, and finally, and most importantly to her, that she can enter and leave the Pantheon as she pleases. While Gertrude was immensely grateful for the fact she actually had options for once, she did, however, request one final thing; that her pal Larry the Fly would be here to help her out. Sure enough, the Court Of The Gods helped her get him here as her herald. Their reunion was a mixture of genuine relief and joy seeing each other again and snark and banter saying that they just can’t get rid of each other.
  • While she was originally a battle-hungry powerhouse, she did mellow out a bit after meeting a Loony Fan of her who finally made her realize just how deranged she got after being stuck in Fairyland. Her efforts to improve only doubled after being stuck in and escaping a personal Hell of her reliving her trip to Fairyland to the point that after essentially getting Dark Cloudia on the ropes, she decided to spare her and apologize for everything she did during her stay in Fairyland.
    • A word to the wise; just because she is trying to live a better life doesn't mean she is growing soft. Her final act before leaving Fairyland was threatening to kill the entire Council Of Fairyland if they tried to back out of their promise to send her home after all. As such, extreme caution is still advised if one wants to antagonize here, especially after she and Larry found out that Death Is a Slap on the Wrist here, meaning that Gertrude is more likely to start a fight if she and Larry feel like it may be in their best interest. This isn't even mentioning the fact that she still has her light powers from having and never giving back the Heart Of Fairyland with the potential of getting back her dark powers from Darketh Deaddeath.
  • She was surprised to find that there were plenty of other people that got trapped in another realm against their will. She respects Chihiro and Coraline for not only escaping their other worlds but also becoming better people because of it. While also respecting what Miaka went through, she did have a good laugh upon hearing her incident with the emperor and how she felt like it mirrored how she went through Fairyland a bit. On the other hand, she shows respect for Eddie Riggs, Philip J. Fry, Sora, and Shiro for after getting trapped in another world making it work and enjoying their new home. She is also impressed with Frisk not only escaping the Underground but also freeing the other monsters as well. She is currently planning on creating a group dedicated to those that were Trapped in Another World and hated it like her.
    • Out of all the people though, she has the most respect for Yuri the fusion duelist for how they both went on a similar adventure, with Gertrude and Yuri axing off members of the universe they were a part of and being psychopathic about it and even mellowing out as their journey came to a close. They tend to hang out a lot while sometimes targeting those that they view as enemies and causing havoc with Yuri's Starve Venom Fusion Dragon.
  • Many a pacifist and honorable warriors were proud of Gertrude for this development, but surprisingly, none more than Samurai Jack. He knows just how it is to be stuck in a world you aren't familiar with and feel like someone is keeping you there against your will. There was also the fact that one of her attempts at reforming were acting like Samurai Jack while trying to return a baby to its mother. She did have to kill the army after they threw shurikens right at her and cut her body and the baby just got eaten by the mother they returned the baby to, but Jack can at least appreciate the effort. Even if she still insists on calling him a ninja (be it her just not understanding the difference between ninja and samurai even after Larry explained it to her, a force of habit or just for fun, and the fact that Jack may actually be a Ronin only complicates matters further), the two are on decent terms with each other, with Jack even pointing Gertrude towards the Grand United Alliance of Good's Token Evil Teammates if she wants to meet more people like her who tried to do good but failed in one way or another. She was thankful for his words but declined the invitation... for now.
  • As a troubled girl who became awesome in return for her childhood torment, she ended up crossing paths with Peacock, who was immediately floored with how similar they are, even having their own flying friend, with Peacock having Avery while Gertrude has Larry. Through Peacock, she met up with Tiny Tina who quickly became friends with Gertrude, bonding over their past and how unique their vocabulary is. They can often be seen joining forces to try and take down whoever is bothering one of them, brushing up on their fighting with each other or just pulling pranks and messing around.
    • Dokuro seemed to be enthusiastic about Gertrude trying to turn her life around, and offered to show her a way she can help out. Said way was to bash Sakura's skull in whenever he did something that can be seen as even remotely sexual. Even if Gertrude thinks Dokuro is off her rocker she does respect how brutal and violent she can be.
      • Mandy quickly took notice of a little girl newcomer who could threaten her title as the Enfant Terrible. Gertrude responded by saying she has no plans for that but she won't hesitate to lob Mandy's head off she tries to cause trouble for her. The two have since been rivals after their encounter.
  • Even if she is trying to turn a new leaf, she still is awestruck by how violent some deities can be. As such, she has expressed admiration for the house of Slaughter and their ways of axing people off but has saved the most respect for Naughty Bear, a teddy bear who she viewed as unjustly mocked and made fun of for his whole life and rightfully took matters into his own hands. Given how Death Is a Slap on the Wrist for the citizens of Perfection Island, Larry can't really complain that much. Meanwhile Naughty is just happy to make another genuine friend, whom even had some experience of being hounded by narrators, reminding him of his Evil Brit narrator, not that he minds him; just thought that it was an interesting connection. Thankfully, Gertrude can't hear Naughty Bear's narrator.
    • She CAN, however, hear the Narrator from the house of Narrative. She tried to ignore him with Larry's advice to just leave him be for a bit, but after he started to verbally chew her out for not following his story, Larry decided to give Gertrude an ax to try and chop her way to him. A few minutes later, parts of the house came falling down as Gertrude loudly declared that she can't be controlled by any narrator. This resulted in her getting banned from the house; not that she minded. Any distance between her and any narrator was positive in her book.
  • The one person here that Gertrude openly pities is Conker The Squirrel. She knows just how awful it is to end up in an unfamiliar world while trying to leave only to be more and more stuck there. She even remembers being the queen of Fairyland for a bit even if that ended badly for everyone just as Conker is stuck as King of all the land. They can be seen sharing a drink with Gertrude giving Conker advice like doing a terrible job as the king to get fired or to be lucky as home may not be as great as he remembers, recalling her childhood once she came back home was wonderful until she became an adult stuck in a dead-end job. Conker still seems deadset on returning home and claims that throwing the job as the king would just end with him getting executed but appreciates her pity and advice regardless.
  • One night, after getting drunk with Conker, she woke up within the house of Happiness. Unfortunately, she forgot she ascended to the Pantheon and instantly thought she was back in Fairyland. This just caused her to freak out and start attacking anyone and anything on sight which cursing in her own unique way. Given how she was in her kid form, it took a bit of convincing for her newly found friends and Larry that she was okay and not in Fairyland. After coming through and suffering from her hangover, she sheepishly apologized to the house after being encouraged to do some from Larry, before banning herself from there. The members there hold no hard feelings but are sad that such a place that should be joyful ended up being a place where Gertrude is reminded of her painful past.
  • Due to how violent she was in a place called "Fairyland", she ended up being opposed by a good number of fairy tale deities. While Gertrude does her best to avoid being around a majority of them, she does make a effort to fight against Bloody Mary, due to how distasteful she finds her to be. Thanks to how vile Bloody Mary is, Larry has no qualms about Gertrude getting violent with her, but does prefer it when Bloody Mary ends up crossing their path and not the other way around.
    • Bigby Wolf and Snow White are well aware of her past, but otherwise, have actually followed a live and let live policy with her. The fact that Gertrude is more than willing and capable of tangling with Bloody Mary also scored a few points in their books. Even if Bigby seemed to parrot Larry's advice of waiting to strike against Bloody Mary instead of walking into something that may or may not be a trap she set up for her, he still ended their meeting by telling her that she is not as bad as she thinks she is.
    • Jiminy Cricket was happy to see Gertrude given how she finally realized she needed to follow her conscience, aka Larry. Even if she still has some trouble listening to him from time to time still, she is making a genuine effort to get his advice and listen to it and is quick to make him realize how thankful she is for his help.
    • One of the more curious people Gertrude met was Alice Liddell, given how she is kind of similar to her with how they both ended up in strange weird places by falling into holes. However, the most shocking thing to her was how Alice has two very different sides to her, with her normal side reminding Gertrude of the time when she became a good girl after touching the balls of redemption (don't ask), while her dark form reminded Gertrude a bit of herself before her redemption, even if she isn't as bad as Gertrude was. Regardless, she still is on decent enough tabs with her.
    • Grimm quickly took notice of her presence, growing impressed with how much damage she did to Fairyland on her pursuit back home. Even if Gertrude decided the best course of action for her, in the end, was to tone down her violence, he still enjoys the fact that she still proudly declares she hasn't gone soft and is just as powerful as ever. While the once lost girl would like to distance herself from Grimm, if she ever gets stuck in Fairyland again with everyone there trying to keep her there, she won't hesitate to call him over.
  • While walking around the Pantheon, she ended up getting knocked out by a sneak attack and taken away. Thankfully, Larry the Fly managed to evade getting caught as he followed her kidnapper into the hideout for the Grand United Alliance of Evil, namely, The Liebertarian Movement, where he spied on Joker, Johan and Junko surrounding a barely conscious Gertrude as they tried to trick her into thinking she was still stuck in Fairyland, but Hansel and Gretel, who were also stuck there, know a violent way out. Larry quickly warned Gertrude's allies what was happening and quickly planned to intercept her. It took everyone of Gertrude's allies and the help of Kenzo to help free Gertrude of her corruption, but they were eventually able to do so, albeit with a couple casualties along the way. Upon realizing what was happening, Gertrude claimed her trusty axe from Larry's hat (who was more than willing to let her go kill crazy given what they did to her) and lobbed off Hansel and Gretel's heads, rallied a team of herself, Larry, Peacock, Dokuro, Tiny Tina and Naughty Bear before storming The Liebertarian Movement's headquarters and showing them just how dangerous corrupting people into being mindless killers can be with their fancy speech not affecting them.
  • Sick of her old job stuck in a cubicle, she is more than interested in all the jobs listed in the house of Jobs and Profession, ready to try out any job she sees fit. Even if she did find a job however, she isn't interested in moving here permanently; she still wants to see her real world and still loves the freedom and choice the Pantheon gives her, but there is nothing wrong in her eyes in seeking out a much more fun job.
  • Some time later, struggling in the real world due to her dysfunctional nature she would take an offer to help a billionaire rescue his child and conquer Fairyland in exchange for riches.

L-R: Helen and Roy

  • Quasideities
  • Symbol: A TV Remote
  • Theme Song: Stay Tuned - Opening Theme
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Portfolio: Nuclear Family, Relationship That Grew Sour Due to Roy's TV Addiction But Got Better, Deadpan Snarkers, Became Cartoony In Animated Segments, Helen Being Less Composed Compared To Roy
  • Domains: Television, Escaping, Families, Narratives
  • Heralds: Their two children, Darryl and Diane Knable
  • High Priest: Rez
  • Allies: Gex, Roger Rabbit, Eddie Valiant, Jerry, Timmy Turner, Crimson Chin, Viewtiful Joe, Meteora Österreich, Homer and Marge Simpson, the GUAG White Hats, The Investigation Team, Ryotaro Dojima
  • Odd Friendship with (Roy only): Zorro, Puss In Boots
  • Respects: The ascended wrestling deities
  • Avoids: Lex the Bookworm, Altair, Xingo
  • Enemies: The Hall of Demons as well as other ascended devils in the Pantheon, Mr. Burns, Conal Cochran, Judge Doom, The Grand United Alliance of Machines
  • Due to a seemingly innocent deal between a couch potato and a convincing salesman, Roy Knable would unknowningly set up a dangerous deal with the demonic company known as Hell Vision, trapping him and his wife Helen into the new TV's 666 exclusive channels, where they both had to survive for 24 hours or else they'd lose their souls to the devil.
  • On one uneventful night, the parents would go to sleep, only to reawaken in a whole new place that was completely unfamiliar to them. Checking their technology to make sure they didn't use any suspicious devices, and checking themselves to see if they were turned into cartoons again, the two Knables would venture out to be greeted by several deities, who had decided that based on their adventures as mortals, that they were to be ascended under the trope of Trapped in TV Land. Unlike a majority of deities who came into the Pantheon, both Roy and Helen wanted out, not wanting to get involved in more kinds of perils, much as many sane men and women would have chosen at first. Even learning of the resurrection-based immortality and that the Pantheon wasn't completely run by demons convinced them to stay. Though, life at home was uneventful for them after their experiences within the TV shows, so the two parents eventually accepted on the condition that their children could stay with them as heralds, which was an accepted request.
Roy: You know, I may still have some problems keeping my eyes away from the TV, but wasting my life in some place dedicated to pointing out common elements in televised media? Not even I'd do that!
Helen: Well, I'm glad to see that even you have standards.
  • Obviously, they keep away from all the Hall of Demons and any other ascended devil in the Pantheon, knowing far better to make more deals with them. The same applies to any figurative devil in the Pantheon, including any problematic companies. They're opposed to both Mr. Burns, Conal Cochran, and similar companies they're allied with for their malicious practices. It's not like Roy needs to buy a new TV, since the Pantheon gave him a much better TV than the one he's familiar with in his mortal life, though Helen makes sure he doesn't get addicted to TV again.
  • The both of them can be seen working in the House of Profession, doing work as they did back in their own mortal lives, with Roy also being part of the Elysium Academy to train other learning deities to fence. They'd rather not get involved in all of the crazier occurrences within the Pantheon, let alone the Forever War between various alliances in the Pantheon. Figuring that they'll still be pulled in conflicts from time to time, the Knables decided that they have no reason to look for more trouble anyways. As such, they get along with other deities that simply want to continue a somewhat normal life in the Pantheon.
  • The two Knables got along with Gex and Viewtiful Joe, who both also traveled through TV worlds just as they did, and making a living through it. The Knables are impressed that they made entering and surviving nasty television shows a profession for themselves, which even Roy, a fellow TV addict, would be hesitant to do. They reassured them that the job simply wasn't for everyone, and that their respect was mutual for going through their feud with Hell Vision. However, Gex noticed something rather perilous with their high priest, who the Knables were completely unaware of, Gex's archnemesis Rez, known for trapping others within his Media Dimension, and someone who they would all oppose for such reasons, hoping that Rez doesn't find another way to enter the Pantheon.
  • Another TV lover they're friends with is Timmy Turner, who is especially a big fan of the Crimson Chin, a superhero that managed to be brought into the world outside of television with use of his fairies' wishes. Being a genuinely heroic guy, the Knables can consider him a good guy to be around. They're a little unsure of what to think about Timmy's sometimes problematic use of wishes, but they do have some pity on how his parents are negligent of their son at times, hoping they never become anything like them either. There was also Eustace Bagge who also likes to watch television, but they just consider him an annoying Cranky Neighbor for the most part.
  • Having been turned into cartoon characters for a bit while trapped in TV, they've given respect towards Eddie and Roger Rabbit who are experienced with interactions between real people and other toons themselves. While they don't ever plan to become toons again, they're more than wary enough of Judge Doom who could certainly threaten to kill them with The Dip should they be forced to become toons again. Having been cartoon mice in particular, they also get along with Jerry, and while Tom reminds them of the Robo-Cat that tried to catch them before, their views on him are neutral.
  • During their mishaps with Hell Vision's killer channels, they were forced to fight against Hell Vision's own wrestlers, The Gorgons, for their survival. While Roy knew about how wrestling matches are generally staged, this only got Roy in trouble as he got beaten up by Mr. Gorgon. Ever since the Knables got past the encounter (mostly Helen's efforts), they both have gotten a newfound respect of all the wrestling deities in the Pantheon, understanding their work a little better. The wrestling deities are a bit impressed (and intimidated) by how savagely Helen made quick work out of the Gorgons once Mrs. Gorgon decided to rip out a bit of her hair. She may still be a Quasideity, but they know better than to be on the other end of her rage.
  • While Helen's happy that Roy's gotten over his obsession with TV, she does note that he sometimes gets attached to his television for a little too long on occasion. It's never gotten as problematic as when it began to tear their relationship apart, but it mildly upsets her that Roy never gets bored of TV. She once went to a library to ponder about how people don't seem to get into books like how we do with television these days, and Lex the Bookworm heard her words as misinterpreted them as a certain request, and one ZAP later, Helen would find trapped in a city within a book she was reading. With Roy learning of the event, he helped Helen find a way out of the book, and they left Lex's library, startled that even books had the potential to suck you in and make you go through their narratives.
Helen: You know, when I was thinking about getting into books, this was not what I was asking for.
  • They were intrigued by the Investigation Team's ventures in the TV World they went through, even if their interactions with the Midnight Channel weren't something they expected. Surprised that the TV World they're familiar with could grant them special abilities, especially gaining a Persona, the Knables are impressed by how they used the TV World to solve things like murder cases. Similarly, they got along with their ally Ryotaro Dojima who was a detective that formerly had an estranged relationship with his daughter due to a case involving his wife's murder, holding much pity for him. They do remind each other that a balance between personal issues and professional work is necessary for maintaining families, which they can all get behind.
  • Welcomed in the House of Family for getting past a situation that threatened to tear it apart, as mundane as the Knables in relation to many deities in the Pantheon. The Knable parents also found themselves being rather relatable to the Simpson parents, both being parts of similarly sized families, though the latter family finds themselves more used to chaotic situations than the former. Helen and Marge found good friends in each other to talk to, and Roy found good buddies in Homer for their mutual love of donuts. Both Roy and Homer also had a mutual interest in wanting to be better for their family, both having their own needs to improve.
  • In their temple, which resembles their normal house, Roy has a fencing trophy, having been quite an experienced fencer himself. Soon enough, it would lead into meeting the famous Zorro who Roy recognized from all the TV he's watched. Somehow, there was a bet made between the two that led to them getting caught up in a fencing duel. While Zorro would end up winning the duel, Zorro would be surprised at how competent Roy was with the rapier, being a difficult opponent to triumph against. This would get Roy challenged by Puss in Boots later on, and the two managed to duel to a standstill for a few minutes, Roy being surprised he was fencing with an anthromorphic cat in the first place. Ending the fight early, Roy had managed to earn the respect of both fencers, though both note that his stamina is something that could be worked on.
  • They both ran into the deity holding the opposing trope to theirs, Xingo, once while heading back from doing their usual jobs. Wanting to show the two Knables his definition of fun, he decided to show them some of his best pranks, one of which involved turning them back into cartoon characters again. After a long chase involving explosive pies and sentient angry tumbleweeds, the two barely escaped Xingo's mischief with their lives, Roy knowing far better than to try to fight such a wacky character. Not wanting to see Xingo's face ever again, they decided to take some Brain Bleach to ensure they can't even invoke his appearance by mentioning him, but keeping a small flash card in their pocket to know how to deal with him just in case.
    • When it came to other fictional characters that entered into the real world, they get along with Meteora pretty well, but Altair is someone that they'd rather keep away from for their own sake.
  • The Knables found it ideal to ally with the GUAG White Hats, given the fact that they may end up being sucked into deadly television shows again. The White Hats being benevolent technological experts and hackers themselves who could help them escape such situations was ideal for them. It helped that some of its members were just as familiar with being put into their universes' own forms of media. Not only that, but the group reminded them of their son, Darryl, who also happened to have a knack for technology himself. They also dislike one of their enemies, the Grand United Alliance of Machines, since they decided that dealing with a malicious television was enough for them, and obviously disagree with the idea of being turned to machines themselves.
