* Due to a seemingly innocent deal between a couch potato and a convincing salesman, Roy Knable would unknowningly set up a [[DealWithTheDevil dangerous deal]] with the demonic company known as Hell Vision, trapping him and his wife Helen into the new TV's [[NumberOfTheBeast 666]] exclusive channels, where they both had to survive for 24 hours or else they'd lose their souls to the devil.
* On one uneventful night, the parents would go to sleep, only to reawaken in a whole new place that was completely unfamiliar to them. Checking their technology to make sure they didn't use any suspicious devices, and checking themselves to see if they were turned into cartoons again, the two Knables would venture out to be greeted by several deities, who had decided that based on their adventures as mortals, that they were to be ascended under the trope of TrappedInTVLand. Unlike a majority of deities who came into the Pantheon, both Roy and Helen wanted '''[[ScrewThisImOuttaHere out]]''', not wanting to get involved in more kinds of perils, much as many sane men and women would have chosen at first. Even learning of the resurrection-based immortality and that the Pantheon wasn't completely run by demons convinced them to stay. Though, life at home was uneventful for them after their experiences within the TV shows, so the two parents eventually accepted on the condition that their children could stay with them as heralds, which was an accepted request.
--> '''Roy''': You know, I may still have some problems keeping my eyes away from the TV, but [[JustForFun/TVTropesWillRuinYourLife wasting my life in some place dedicated to pointing out common elements in televised media?]] Not even I'd do that!
--> '''Helen''': Well, I'm glad to see that even you [[SelfDeprecation have standards.]]
* Obviously, they keep away from all the Hall of Demons and any other ascended devil in the Pantheon, knowing far better to make more deals with them. The same applies to any figurative devil in the Pantheon, including any problematic companies. They're opposed to both Mr. Burns, Conal Cochran, and similar companies they're allied with for their malicious practices. It's not like Roy needs to buy a new TV, since the Pantheon gave him a much better TV than the one he's familiar with in his mortal life, though Helen makes sure he doesn't get addicted to TV again.
* The both of them can be seen working in the House of Profession, doing work as they did back in their own mortal lives, with Roy also being part of the [[Pantheon/{{School}} Elysium Academy]] to train other learning deities to fence. They'd rather not get involved in all of the crazier occurrences within the Pantheon, let alone the ForeverWar between various alliances in the Pantheon. Figuring that they'll still be pulled in conflicts from time to time, the Knables decided that they have no reason to look for more trouble anyways. As such, they get along with other deities that simply want to continue a somewhat normal life in the Pantheon.
* The two Knables got along with Gex and Viewtiful Joe, who both also traveled through TV worlds just as they did, and making a living through it. The Knables are impressed that they made entering and surviving nasty television shows a profession for themselves, which even Roy, a fellow TV addict, would be hesitant to do. They reassured them that the job simply wasn't for everyone, and that their respect was mutual for going through their feud with Hell Vision. However, Gex noticed something rather perilous with their high priest, who the Knables were completely unaware of, Gex's archnemesis Rez, known for trapping others within his Media Dimension, and someone who they would all oppose for such reasons, hoping that Rez doesn't find another way to enter the Pantheon.
* Another TV lover they're friends with is Timmy Turner, who is especially a big fan of the Crimson Chin, a superhero that managed to be brought into the world outside of television with use of his fairies' wishes. Being a genuinely heroic guy, the Knables can consider him a good guy to be around. They're a little unsure of what to think about Timmy's sometimes problematic use of wishes, but they do have some pity on how his parents are negligent of their son at times, hoping they never become anything like them either. There was also Eustace Bagge who also likes to watch television, but they just consider him an annoying CrankyNeighbor for the most part.
* Having been turned into cartoon characters for a bit while trapped in TV, they've given respect towards Eddie and Roger Rabbit who are experienced with interactions between real people and other toons themselves. While they don't ever plan to become toons again, they're more than wary enough of Judge Doom who could certainly threaten to kill them with The Dip should they be forced to become toons again. Having been cartoon mice in particular, they also get along with Jerry, and while Tom reminds them of the Robo-Cat that tried to catch them before, their views on him are neutral.
* During their mishaps with Hell Vision's killer channels, they were forced to fight against Hell Vision's own wrestlers, The Gorgons, for their survival. While Roy knew about how [[WrongGenreSavvy wrestling matches are generally staged,]] this only got Roy in trouble as he got beaten up by Mr. Gorgon. Ever since the Knables got past the encounter (mostly Helen's efforts), they both have gotten a newfound respect of all the wrestling deities in the Pantheon, understanding their work a little better. The wrestling deities are a bit impressed (and intimidated) by how savagely Helen made [[NoHoldsBarredBeatdown quick work out of the Gorgons]] once Mrs. Gorgon decided to [[BerserkButton rip out a bit of her hair.]] She may still be a Quasideity, but they know better than to be on the other end of her rage.
* While Helen's happy that Roy's gotten over his obsession with TV, she does note that he sometimes gets attached to his television for a little too long on occasion. It's never gotten as problematic as when it began to tear their relationship apart, but it mildly upsets her that Roy never gets bored of TV. She once went to a library to ponder about how people don't seem to get into books like how we do with television these days, and Lex the Bookworm heard her words as misinterpreted them as a certain request, and one ''ZAP'' later, Helen would find trapped in a city within a book she was reading. With Roy learning of the event, he helped Helen find a way out of the book, and they left Lex's library, startled that even ''books'' had the potential to suck you in and make you go through their narratives.
--> '''Helen:''' You know, when I was thinking about getting into books, ''this'' was not what I was asking for.
* They were intrigued by the Investigation Team's ventures in the TV World they went through, even if their interactions with the Midnight Channel weren't something they expected. Surprised that the TV World they're familiar with could grant them special abilities, especially gaining a Persona, the Knables are impressed by how they used the TV World to solve things like murder cases. Similarly, they got along with their ally Ryotaro Dojima who was a detective that formerly had an estranged relationship with his daughter due to a case involving his wife's murder, holding much pity for him. They do remind each other that a balance between personal issues and professional work is necessary for maintaining families, which they can all get behind.
* Welcomed in the House of Family for getting past a situation that threatened to tear it apart, as mundane as the Knables in relation to many deities in the Pantheon. The Knable parents also found themselves being rather relatable to the Simpson parents, both being parts of similarly sized families, though the latter family finds themselves more used to chaotic situations than the former. Helen and Marge found good friends in each other to talk to, and Roy found good buddies in Homer for their mutual love of donuts. Both Roy and Homer also had a mutual interest in wanting to be better for their family, both having their own needs to improve.
* In their temple, which resembles their normal house, Roy has a fencing trophy, having been quite an experienced fencer himself. Soon enough, it would lead into meeting the famous Zorro who Roy recognized from all the TV he's watched. Somehow, there was a bet made between the two that led to them getting caught up in a fencing duel. While Zorro would end up winning the duel, Zorro would be surprised at how competent Roy was with the rapier, being a difficult opponent to triumph against. This would get Roy challenged by Puss in Boots later on, and the two managed to duel to a standstill for a few minutes, Roy being surprised he was fencing with an anthromorphic cat in the first place. Ending the fight early, Roy had managed to earn the respect of both fencers, though both note that his stamina is something that could be worked on.
* They both ran into the deity holding the opposing trope to theirs, Xingo, once while heading back from doing their usual jobs. Wanting to show the two Knables his definition of fun, he decided to show them some of his best pranks, one of which involved turning them back into cartoon characters again. After a long chase involving explosive pies and sentient angry tumbleweeds, the two barely escaped Xingo's mischief with their lives, Roy knowing far better than to try to fight such a wacky character. Not wanting to see Xingo's face ever again, they decided to take some BrainBleach to ensure they can't even invoke his appearance by mentioning him, but keeping a small flash card in their pocket to know how to deal with him just in case.
** When it came to other fictional characters that entered into the real world, they get along with Meteora pretty well, but Altair is someone that they'd rather keep away from for their own sake.
* The Knables found it ideal to ally with the GUAG White Hats, given the fact that they may end up being sucked into deadly television shows again. The White Hats being benevolent technological experts and hackers themselves who could help them escape such situations was ideal for them. It helped that some of its members were just as familiar with being put into their universes' own forms of media. Not only that, but the group reminded them of their son, Darryl, who also happened to have a knack for technology himself. They also dislike one of their enemies, the Grand United Alliance of Machines, since they decided that dealing with a malicious television was enough for them, and obviously disagree with the idea of being turned to machines themselves.
