• Antiquated Linguistics: He speaks like this in the English version.
• Breath Weapon: He is a dragon that breathes fire. His skill "Prominence Blaze" shoots a stream from where he is to the top of the screen for a few seconds. If paired with a sub unit whose skill moves the character in either horizontal directions, you can strafe the screen if the skills are activated at the right place and time.
• Fate Worse than Death: In the past Vagner and Light fought to a standstill, the champion's refusal to kill greatly offended the dragon and Vagner sees his damaged pride as this.
• Jerkass: Vagner is very arrogant and looks down on pretty much everybody.

• Bowdlerize: Non-Japanese versions of the game hastily covered up her regular variant's cleavage by editing extra fabric onto her blouse. It's not very well done or consistent as it can still be seen in certain in-game artworks.
• Cool Big Sis: She's this to almost everyone. She even takes in Nao at the end of the latter's character story.
• Dude Magnet: Marina has a lot of admirers with her crew being the most prominent. Luca also hints at some attraction to her in her Summer Variant's character story.
• Even the Girls Want Her: The people attracted to her aren't just limited to guys, with some of her admirers being female.
• Klingon Promotion: As learned in Legacy of the Deep, she defeated the previous captain of the Crimson Blades Captain Zegra before becoming the current one.
• Magnetic Hero: Marina is more or less loved by everyone she meets and has the natural charisma of a great leader.
• The Minion Master: Her regular variant's skill "Pirate Rush" has some of the Crimson Blades be summoned to aid her as multiballs.
• Latex Space Suit: Wears one in her flipperversary version, Alk compares it to a mecha pilot suit.
• Office Lady: Her original occupation in her homeworld before becoming a pirate captain of the Endless Blue.
• Pirate Girl: Is the female pirate captain of the Crimson Blades.
• Trapped in Another World: She was originally from Shinjuku but somehow ended up in Endless Blue in the World Flipper-verse.
• Workplace-Acquired Abilities: She's oddly good at bookkeeping for a pirate and quickly identifies that Alk can claim items bought for questing as tax-deductible expenses. This makes more sense after it's revealed that she used to live in Shinjuku.

Noenne

A powerful vocalist, Noenne formed a group with Catherine, a ghost, and Kapipi, a capybara, to represent Littleton in the world idol competition. Though they lost, she vowed to make a comeback and now travels with Alk and company on a new journey.

• Cute, but Cacophonic: Noenne has quite the loud voice when she gets going, helped by the megaphone she carries. Her introductory story has her display a roaring shout more appropriate for a metal band than an idol group. She also shouts like this in one of her Power Flip quotes.
• Dub Name Change: Originally in the Global English version, Catherine the ghost-member was named "Celtie" but since the spelling is the same as the playable unit Celtie the localization was changed to help distinguish them better and be less confusing.
• Eastern Zodiac: She is based on the Rat, and was introduced for the New Year's event for 2020 in the game's Japanese schedule; a year of the Rat. Similarly, Kapipi is a capybara; another type of rodent. Noenne's home world is based on the zodiac. The Battle Royale All Star Smash is a proxy battle between 12 nations, each based on a different zodiac sign. Noenne's group is the current representative for the Rats. When the group arrives in Starview, they mistake Light for a representative of the Hare country, and Nimbus for the Tiger country. Catherine is the odd one out in the group, as she's a cat instead of a rodent. Noenne's third story reveals that much like the zodiac story, there once was a 13th nation, of cats. But the rat country of Littleton tricked the cat nation, and it is no more. Catherine was the last representative of that nation before its fall, and her ghost haunted Littleton until Noenne befriended her.
• Idol Singer: Hard Rock Magic is an idol group. In Noenne's world, warfare between countries is sublimated through an idol competition called Battle Royale: All Star Smash (BRASS, for short). Meaning that the competition is more than entertainment for Noenne.
• One-Steve Limit: Averted initially in the English localization of the game; the ghost woman Celtie in Noenne's idol group has the same name as the unrelated Wind 5-star Celtie (though it is worth noting that the ghost Celtie's name is pronounced with a hard "C," while the Wind character is pronounced with a soft "C"). The ghost Celtie eventually had her name changed to Catherine to be less confusing.
• Vengeful Ghost: Catherine was the last idol representative of her nation of cats, before they were tricked and defeated by Littleton. Catherine's ghost haunted the rat nation thereafter, seeking revenge for her loss. Noenne managed to befriend her and turn her away from vengeance. By the time we meet them, Catherine is fully on Noenne's side, despite her being a representative of Littleton.

• Black Knight: Rolf fits in appearance and due his fame of being very strong.
• Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: After the conflict between catfolk and dogfolk ceases Rolf is left with no reason to live since he only knew about conflict, he joins Starview to find a new one.
• Mundane Utility: His helmet gives Rolf is a very good poker face for any game.
• One-Man Army: Rolf's reputation of being the strongest dogfolk is very well earned, best seen in his third unit episode where he defeats a whole squad of canid soldiers who served under him with ease.
• Suicide by Cop: Challenges Nimbus to a fight to death after losing his reason to fight, unfortunately Nimbus could tell the wolf was holding back and stopped fighting.
• Undying Loyalty: Towards the dogfolk king even after he is dethroned, Rolf even decides to maintain the peace so he won't sully his king's name in the annuls of history.

  • Super-Strength: She is so ridiculously strong that she can squeeze and compress a broken glass plate into a glass orb.
• Royals Who Actually Do Something: She, her nation's princess, takes it upon herself to try to conquer Palpebra. She also tries to find Mirea's sacred relics.
• State Visit: She comes to Palpebra to conquer it but became enamored with the sights and shopping.

• Shockingly Expensive Bill: Gives these to bad people (mostly pirates) he treats. If they can't pay they can Work Off the Debt by working for the Fellowship of Floof and, if they are not beastfolk, while wearing an Animal-Eared Headband.
• Verbal Tic: Ends his sentences with "meow". When asked by Alk Liao says that because it's cute and people like cute things.

• Sibling Rivalry: Upon seeing his sister again she declares herself to be Quade's rival, he accepts it with pleasure.
• So Proud of You: Alk comments that Quade was visible happy of seeing how much his sister had grown after showing her resolve to stop their father's machinations.

  • In her Valentine's second story, she was rather uncertain at whether to give Alk a special chocolate until she learns that Nate had given him one.
• Fiery Redhead: Though she can be calm due to her status as the Heir of Felder, she can be quite hot-blooded when it comes to down it.
• Heroic Neutral: The Felder's job is to ensure the peace in their world, they will help those in need regardless if they are pirates or the goverment depending on the situation.
• Parental Abandonment: Both of Leticia's died during a conflict that resulted after Zegra's disappearance.
• Tsundere: While she can admit that she likes Alk, she can't admit how much.

• Backstory: Her backstory isn't elaborated on until her Flipperversary variant. The flashback during her unit episode 2 implys that she was Connected All Along with Botan whom she met while on a mission and was taught about fireworks by her.
• Kite Riding: Her regular variant's awakened art depicts her doing this.
• The Promise: In her regular variant's unit episode 3, she promises to show Stella amazing hanabi (fireworks). She fulfills it in her Flipperversary variant's unit episode 3 with help from her master which is implied to be Botan.
• Ninja
  • Highly-Visible Ninja:Played with; She may have a ninja's skills, but her fascination with explosives make it hard to miss her. She's been quoted as saying that vanishing in smoke is nowhere near as fun as arriving with a great big bang. That said, if she doesn't want to found she will not be found even in a formal dress.
  • Ninja Brat: She is still a young lady but a highly skilled ninja that can beat every other ninja from her village.
• Shadow Pin: In her Flipperversary variant's unit episode 2, it is shown that she knows how to do this after picking it up from the diviners.
• She Cleans Up Nicely: Hanabi is by no means bad looking, but the dress she wears in her Flipperversary version really shows how cute she really is.
• Stock Ninja Weaponry: As shown in her Flipperversary variant's unit episode 2, she has kunai. After beating the ninjas of her former village she loots their gear.
• Throw Down the Bomblet: Her regular variant's skill "Saltpeter Peony" has her launch bombs as multiballs that explode when contacting enemies and doing additional splash damage.
• You Can't Go Home Again: Due to her leaving the ninja village, they marked her for killing. Not that Hanabi minds since she never wanted to keep living there to begin with.

Asukirimaru

• Gone Horribly Right: Due to the Starview crew helping her gain confidence and getting over her inability to look at her opponents' faces, she is more proactive in fighting to the point of being a Blood Knight who would literally juggle her opponents with her spear.
• Hiding Behind Your Bangs: After her Character Development from her unit episodes (and her awakened art), she has a bit more confidence to look at other people in the eyes.
• Meaningful Appearance: Her hair covers her eyes which also alludes to her inability to look others in the eyes. She could still fight by looking at the feet of her opponents but this could lead to friendly fire due to not be able to distinguish between her enemies, allies and civilians.
• Sadist: Melmyna can be quite sadistic when she gets going.

  • Though highly improbable, you can get her Christmas variant without getting her normal one, learning her story without explaining how she first met the Starview crew.
