The jungle is a beautiful, exotic and dangerous place, thus a lot of works of fiction are set there. This index is for tropes that are somehow related to the jungle.
In older Western works, Unfortunate Implications (as well as blatant racism) are almost a guarantee in a jungle setting — expect any depictions of "the natives" to be cringeworthy or worse.
The wildlife will usually be very aggressive, persistent and often misplaced.
Sub-Trope to Tropes of Nature. Cobweb Jungle, despite its name, is not an example.
