Sandbox / GUAG Superhero Division

Go To

A subset of the Combat Division dedicated to the caped crusaders and spandex saviors. Metahuman or otherwise, they stand together to battle the forces of the GUAE. They are currently stationed in an advanced version of the Justice League Watchtower satellite augmented with every possible piece of modern technology provided by Wayne Enterprises and Stark Industries. They also have a land headquarters in the form of an expanded Avengers Mansion.

Out of all the divisions in the GUAG, this one is perhaps the most dedicated to directly helping people, most Rescue attempts in the GUAG will be done by the Superhero Division.

And no, there's no 'Superhero Registration' thing here. They've had enough bullshit with that previously. (Though this doesn't mean they don't have any rules. They will keep each other under control, but feel no compulsion to register the group with the governments. Besides, Cosmos says that actions speak louder than anything, so as long as they fight for good, she doesn't need to have their secret identities on record). Anyway, close to 90% of the Pantheon has Internet access to real-world information, so it's likely that besides those limited by status quo, everyone else already knows but keeps mum.

Recently, the Superhero Division has been divided into several battalions to accommodate the increasing numbers of superheroes and that the organisation was becoming overcrowded, as part of the reorganization, Buddy Parr/Syndrome, Hal Stewart/Tighten, and The Seven were blacklisted from the division due to them being complete and utter disgraces to the very idea of Superheroes.

Nick Fury serves as the headmaster of the division, with Captain America in charge of the Marvel Initiative while the DC Trinity functions as a council, overseeing the Justice Incarnate.

    Nick Fury
Nicholas Joseph "Nick" Fury, Divine Spymaster of the Pantheon (Doyle, Man in the Mystery Mask, Patch, Gemini, Sgt. Fury, Scorpio, Agent A-1, The Man on The Wall, Mr. Anger, Mr. Ollen | 616: Nick Fury Sr., Original Fury, The Unseen | Ultimate: Nick Fury Jr., Marcus Johnson, Modern Fury)
Fury Sr., The Earth-616 version
Fury Jr., The Ultimate/MCU version
  • Lesser God
  • Symbol: The S.H.I.E.L.D. logo
  • Alignment: Switches between Lawful Good and Lawful Neutral
  • Reason for Joining: As Director of SHIELD, he monitors superhuman activity in the United States and abroad. Now it's his duty to do the same in the Pantheon. In return for a command role in the Division, he provides infantry, agents and technology to the Division's heroes per requests by Iron Man.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Ambiguous, let's say Medium. By his own admission, he doesn't trust anyone and unlike Batman, hasn't got around to forming good relationships with his colleagues. Cosmos isn't too bothered by this; as the leader of a special law enforcement agency, it's his job to not trust anyone.
  • Threat level: High. As a former US Army Ranger and boxer, he's a diehard soldier and Consummate Professional with no tolerance (or at least stoic annoyance) at newbies or indisciplined individuals in his Division. He is a living example of Authority Equals Asskicking and like Batman, always has the proper protocol in place to combat his forces. The Infinity Formula in his veins has also slowed his aging and thus keeps him physically fit. As The Unseen, he has the ability to perceive past, future and alternate timelines, proving invaluable as a strategist to the Division at times.
  • His son, Marcus Johnson (aka Nick Fury Jr.) is a soldier in the GUAG who keep tabs on the lower soldiers for him. Fury himself also serves as a consulting head of the GUAG Intelligence Division, with SHIELD being one of its many constituent espionage bodies.

Light Team

The Capes of the Division. Noble, courageous, and always eager to protect the innocent.

    Alex J. Murphy / RoboCop
Alex J. Murphy, God of Superhuman Police (RoboCop, OCP-001, OCP Crime Prevention Unit 001, The Future of Law Enforcement, Tin Man, Creator, Detroit's Cyborg Defender, Robert Cop)
His 2014 incarnation
  • Reason for joining: His 'loyalty' is to his Three Directives, only one of which (the Third: "Uphold the law".) ties him (however much) to the GUAL. Since YHVH's vision has severe issues with Directives One ("Serve the public trust.") and Two ("Protect the innocent."), he has since joined the Superhero Division, who upheld all three directives.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Very High. His Three Directives links him better under her leadership than it did with YHVH.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Not as much as the rest of the Dark Team, but still pretty high, he’s the best of the best of his universes police force, and he’s not above dishing out Police Brutality to the absolute worst. Dead or alive, the GUAE’s coming with him.

    Ben and Gwen Tennyson
Ben and Gwen Tennyson, God and Goddess of Unintentional Familial Subtext (Ben: Ben 10, Benjamin Kirby Tennyson, [insert any transformation name here]; Gwen: Gwendolyn, Lucky Girl, Lovely Gwen)
  • Intermediate together (Ben varies from Demigod to perhaps Overdeity depending on the alien he transforms into, and Gwen is a Greater Goddess in Anodite form)
  • Hero Class: A (both), Ben can reach S levels
  • Symbol: The Omnitrix (Ben) and a Spellbook next to a purple cat-eye mask (Gwen)
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good and Lawful Good, respectively
  • Reason for Joining: For Gwen, it’s to help bring peace across the multiverse. For Ben, it’s just so he can kick evil’s butt.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat level to Melkor: High for both but Ben could reach astronomical levels if he wasn’t such an Idiot Hero.

    Captain Planet
Captain Planet, God of Nature (Our Hero)
  • Hero Class: B
  • Symbol: The Earth
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining: The GUAE is polluting nature, and he must stop them
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High. Her forces oppose the destruction and filth the GUAE plan to leave in their wake.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Moderate. All Melkor needs is to throw a lot of pollution on him and Captain Planet will be down. Still, if there's no pollution, Captain Planet is powerful on his own.

    The Crystal Gems
The Crystal Gems

    Fubuki (One Punch Man
Fubuki, Goddess of Declining Promotion (Miss Blizzard, Blizzard of Hell, Fubooty)
  • Intermediate Goddess (But has the potential of reaching Greater Goddess)
  • Hero Class: B
  • Symbol: The Blizzard Group logo
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (formerly Lawful Neutral)
  • Reason for Joining: To be part of an organisation she sees as superior to the rank-biased Hero Organisation.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Medium
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium to High

    Heather Brown/Spinnerette
Heather Brown, Great Herald of the Web-Slinger (Spinnerette, Spinny, Black Widow)
Spinnerette, back-to-back with her girlfriend Mecha Maid
  • Intermediate Goddess
  • Hero Class: B
  • Symbol: Her extra arms
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Genos, Patron Saint of Life Debts (Demon Cyborg, Modern Art)
  • Greater God
  • Hero Class: S
  • Alignment: Neutral Good (Previously Chaotic Neutral)
  • Reasons For Joining: Undying Loyalty to Saitama.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. He has the raw power to incinerate many a foe, even though he hasn't been able to demonstrate much of this in canon. He does have a tendency to be reckless though, and can be rather…fragile compared to other gods on his rank.

K.O., God of Positive Friend Influences (Kaio Kincaid, Peanut, Brush-Head)
  • Lesser God in Pantheon terms, Level 4 in Lakewood Plaza terms as of "Let's Be Heroes!"
  • Hero Class: B
  • Symbol: His very noticeable hairdo.
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good to Neutral Good, Chaotic Evil to Chaotic Neutral as T.K.O.
  • Reason for Joining: To help out heroes of all kinds in the fight against evil.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High. She thinks he’ll help inspire a new generation of heroes.
  • Threat level to Melkor: Low. He has the potential to be higher as he learns from others. Bonding with TKO and later revealing to be Level 100 in the future has now raised him to High.

Marinette Dupain-Cheng/Ladybug and Adrien Agreste/Cat Noir
Marinette Dupain-Cheng and Adrien Agreste, Patron Saints of Love Dynamics Between Civilian And Secret Identities (Marinette: Miraculous Ladybug, Ladybug, My lady, Little Lady, Mari, Bugaboo, Princess, Bridgette, Marino Lady Noir) (Adrien: Adrikins, Cat Noir, Chat Noir, Chat, Chaton, Tom Cat, Kitty, Kitten, Felix, Mister Bug, Aspik)
  • Quasideities normally, Lesser Deities as Ladybug and Cat Noir
  • Hero Class: C
  • Symbol: Their Transformation Trinkets: a pair of ladybug earrings (Marinette) and a black cat ring (Adrien)
  • Alignment: Lawful Good for the most part, going Chaotic Good if forced to
  • Reason For Joining: They've been recommended by Superman, Batman, Spider-Man, and Daredevil, not to mention as heroes this is part of the "job".
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Medium-High.

    The Parr/Incredible Family
The Parr Family, Divine Super Family (The Incredibles, Mr. Incredible [Bob], Elastigirl [Helen]) (Names: Bob Parr, Helen Parr, Violet Parr, Dash Parr, Jack-Jack Parr)
  • Hero Class: B as a whole (Bob and Helen are A, Dash is B, Violet and Jack-Jack are S)
  • Symbol: A lowercase "i" in a stylized oval.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good, with some Chaotic tendencies
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Pepsiman, God of Products Transformed Into Superheroes

Saitama, God of Comically Invincible Heroes (One Punch Man, The Caped Baldy, Sensei [by Genos], Caillou Shippuden)
Saitama in Serious Mode
  • Greater God (but nearly everyone thinks/believes he's a Lesser God)
  • Hero Class: B officially, abilities denote him as S
  • Symbol: His red right glove curled up like a closed fist
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reasons For Joining: He's a hero for fun.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High. Though motivation to do hero work is another matter.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Very High. His speed and durability are insane, his punches can instantly kill any who stand in his way, and his unassuming appearance makes him be sorely underestimated (by most) until it's too late. His laziness prevents him from being any higher of a threat, though.

    Satoru/Mumen Rider
Satoru, Divine Non-Powered Costumed Hero (Mumen Rider, Rider, License-less Rider, Cyclist for Justice)
  • Demigod
  • Symbol: His bike helmet and goggles
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: Low.
  • Holds an honorary position in the GUAG Rider Corps.
Marcus Cole, God of Traditional Superheroes (Statesman, Zeus, States)
  • Greater God
  • Symbol: The Freedom Phalanx Insignia
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High.

Tatsumaki, Goddess of Power-Themed Names (Tornado of Terror, Terrible Tornado, S-Class Superhero)
  • Greater Goddess
  • Symbol: Her hair.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good, Chaotic Good when annoyed
  • Reason for Joining: To add some actual experience into the repertoire of One Punch Man heroes in the GUAG.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Medium. Her jerkass and controlling nature tends to alienate her from others so she prefers to work solo.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: High. Given that the highest ranked S-Class hero (Blast) is currently absent, her status as the most active and powerful member of the S-Class heroes is a serious match for the evil dictator.

Toshinori Yagi/All Might - Team Leader
Toshinori Yagi, Co-God of Passing the Torch (All Might, The Number 1 Hero, The Symbol of Peace)
The Symbol of Peace
Click here to see his real self post-injury.
Click here to see him in his prime.
  • Greater God, Quasideity in his depowered form
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Dark Team

The Cowls of the Division. Dark, mysterious, and secretive, they handle the lesser villains of the Pantheon, along with stealth missions. They are overseen by Bruce Wayne/Batman, acting as his Outsiders.

    Drake Mallard/Darkwing Duck
Drake Mallard, The God Who Knows When to Get Dangerous (Darkwing Duck, D.W., Dark, The Terror That Flaps in the Night, Darkwing Dork, Dorkwing, [insert a nickname from his Mad Libs Catchphrase here])
  • Demigod
  • Hero Class: B
  • Symbol: The Thunderquack, D.W.'s personal aircraft
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Reason for Joining: For Great Justice!
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High.
  • Threat level to Melkor: Low. At best, he can beat up a few thugs or serve as a distraction.

    The Ninja Turtles
Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello and Michelangelo, Gods of Hidden Monstrous Crimefighters (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles, Heroes In a Half-Shell, Shell-Shocked Pizza Kings, Mad Dogs, Leo, Raph, Donnie, Mikey, Turtle Rangers, Nightwatcher (Raphael), Ralph (Raphael, by Marina—both Raph and Pearl wish she'd stop calling him that))
From top to bottom (Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, Leonardo)
  • Intermediate Gods
  • Symbol: Four turtle shells, alternatively four different colored masks
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for joining: The Foot Clan is likely to be amongst the GUAE, and as such, the Turtles will oppose them.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Cosmos is a good friend of Master Splinter, so they're loyal. Plus, Cosmos has a huge storage of pizzas.
  • Threat Level To Melkor: Moderate; like most ninja that lean towards realism, they specialize in fighting relatively small numbers in the shadows- and as such, aren't much of a threat in all out warfare. The threat isn't low, however, as their aforementioned skill in the shadows, reptilian cold-bloodedness, complete knowledge of the sewer systems and armored carapaces make them dangerous assassins.

    Peyton Westlake/Darkman
Peyton Westlake, God of Leaving the Scene after Saving the Day (Darkman)
  • Lesser God
  • Hero Rank: C
  • Symbol: The word Darkman, with a sihoulette of himself forming the second "A"
  • Alignment: Chaotic Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Spawn, God of Nineties Anti Heroes (Al Simmons, The Guardian, Sad Man, Omega Spawn)
  • Greater God (was once an Overdeity)
  • Symbol: His Emblem
  • Alignment: True Neutral or Neutral Good, depending on the situation.
  • Hero Rank: B
  • Reason for Joining: Heard the Pantheon had a demon problem, and he’d take any chance to get back at Malebolgia.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Moderate, it’s an “enemy of my enemy” deal.
  • Threat Level to Melkor: EXTREMELY HIGH, a hellspawn with some insane firepower and equally insane Combo Platter Powers, Al Simmons is a force to be reckoned with on the battlefield.

Training Corps

Nezu, God of Confusing Species (The Principal, Mr. Principal, Nedzu)
  • Lesser God
  • Hero Class: C
  • Symbol: His uniform and his Rugged Scar. Alternatively, a cup of tea.
  • Alignment: Lawful Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:

Heroes In Training

    Class 1-A

Class 1-A
Class 1-A with All Might
  • Members:
  • Ranks: Intermediate Gods (Bakugo and Todoroki), Lesser Gods (everyone else)
  • Alignments: Lawful Good (Deku, Ingenium), Neutral Good (Uravity, Froppy, Todoroki), Chaotic Neutral (Bakugo)
  • Main Reason for Joining: They went to school to be heroes, of course they’d join!
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: High, she respects the idea of a school to raise heroes.
  • Threat Level To Melkor: Moderate, though Deku will most likely become a massive threat by the time he graduates.

    Coon and Friends
Coon and Friends

  • Members:
  • Ranks: Intermediate God (Mysterion), Lesser God (Toolshed, New Kid, Coon), Quasideity (Human Kite, Fastpass)
  • Alignments: Neutral Coonism (The Coon), Lawful Fatalism (Mysterion), Lawful Metric system (Toolshed), Lawful Kite Theologist (Human Kite), any alignment except Lawful Scientologist (New Kid), Lawful Speed (Fastpass)
  • Main Reason for Joining: Coon’s convinced he has a Cash-Cow Franchise on his hands.
  • Loyalty to Cosmos: Moderate, absolutely none when Coon’s in charge.
  • Threat Level To Melkor: Surprisingly high for a bunch of Fouth Graders. Mysterion has Born-Again Immortality, The Coon tamed Cthulhu, Mint-berry Crunch defeated Cthulhu, and the Human Kite discovered the key to omnipotence. The only thing stopping them from being immediate threats to Melkor are the fact that they fight each other more than the bad guys.

    Mei Hatsume
Mei Hatsume, Goddess of Shameless Self-Promotion
  • Lesser Goddess
  • Symbol: An eye with a crosshairs pupil
  • Alignment: Neutral Good
  • Reason for Joining:
  • Loyalty to Cosmos:
  • Threat Level to Melkor:
