  • After becoming aware of the Pantheon, Darkseid met with Miraak (who, of course, arrived at his temple to find him sitting on his couch) to make a deal to get himself into the Pantheon in exchange for the chance to experience unimaginable power. Believing that this power would give him the strength necessary to take over the GUAE, Miraak quickly accepted and got him ascended. When he went to get what he was promised, Darkseid merely grinned, thanked him for his effort, and used his Omega Beams to disintegrate him.
  • Born the youngest son of the original ruler of Apokolips, Yuga Khan, and his wife, Heggra, Uxas was a young man who plotted to usurp the throne of the hell planet which was the birthright of his more peaceful older brother Drax. When Drax attempted to connect with the Omega Realm, an extra-dimensional plain that is the source of an incredibly powerful and destructive energy known as the Omega Effect, Uxas interrupted the process and seized the power for himself. Quickly taking power in Apokolips after, Uxas assumed a new god name, a name that would become the most dreaded name of all the gods... the embodiment of Tyranny and Evil, Darkseid!
    • As the Anthropomorphic Personification of the very concept of Tyranny, Darkseid is obsessed with gaining control of everything and everyone, whether by breaking them... or other means. YHVH and Melkor have both expressed interest in recruiting him into the GUAL and GUAE, respectively, but Darkseid would only agree to join if they stepped down and deferred leadership to him. Needless to say, that's not happening. From Apokolips, he plots to eventually depose them and consolidate their Alliances into a part of his empire to take over the other Alliances, starting with the GUAC, which he loathes as the antithesis of his very existence, and, in time, the rest of the Pantheon. Such is the will of Darkseid!
  • As a New God, Darkseid's incorporeal true form lies outside of the multiverse, existing only in Fourth World. He creates weaker physical incarnations of himself to interact with beings beneath him. This means that, unlike the majority of deities, Darkseid's memory is completely unaffected by retcons, both small and large. As such he possesses knowledge of every iteration of the DC Universe since its beginning, and as such every iteration of the DC Multiverse. It's unsure what, if anything, he's planning with this information.
    • There is, perhaps, one sole exception to this. After the Flashpoint Event, Darkseid's origin became a bit different: while still the youngest son of Yuga Kha and Heggra, Uxas abhorred his parents and the rest of the Old Gods, who required belief and worship of mortals to sustain themselves and yet cared little, if anything, for their followers. Aspiring to usurp them, Uxas provoked them into fighting amongst themselves by spreading falsehoods and rumors to them and, when they were weakened and dying in the ensuing conflict, stole their powers away, eventually killing his father and stealing his power as well. He became Darkseid and ruler of Apokolips after a fight with his older brother Izaya ended up destroying their world and splitting it in two. Though Drax himself no longer seems to exist and his role in Darkseid's new backstory has been appropriated by Izaya, how much, if any, of this new backstory Darkseid still retains is unknown, especially after Infinite Frontier restored all the original continuities.
    • Darkseid reaffirmed his place as a Multiversal threat in the New 52, with one documented story of his war on Earth-2 revealing he is in possession of the Anti-Life Equation, having retained it from Final Crisis, and another revealing he had been systematically slaying the Supermen of the Multiverse for unknown purpose, even making a clone of one of them to lead his armies on Earth-2 in place of the defiant Steppenwolf. He is now powerful to the extent that the Anti-Monitor had to build up strength for the expressed purpose of fighting him.
    • What's even worse, he has allied with Shao Kahn in a certain universe and both have the ability to perform a Fusion Dance which results in... Dark Kahn. This does not make anyone comfortable.
  • Many deities have wondered about the true nature of the Anti-Life Equation. The Anti-Life Equation is, among other things, a mathematical formula that instills within any sentient being that hears it with the mathematical truth that all hope and freedom is meaningless, and strips them of their free will, rendering them subservient to Darkseid. This power is known as "Anti-Life" due to the belief that beings that possess no free will... aren't really alive. Darkseid has used this power to corrupt the minds of a number of deities in the various Grand Alliances to act as moles for him, though they've been instructed to otherwise act normally. He has refused to comment on exactly how many he has enslaved in this way or their exact identities. YHVH, whose ultimate goal is a world where no one is capable of doing unlawful and has gone to insane lengths in pursuit of this goal, is insanely jealous that Darkseid, a God of similar power and motivations to Himself, possesses something of this nature, and has made it a high priority objective to learn the full equation... not an easy task, as Darkseid knows full well.
    • That said, the two of them did eventually begin to warm up with one another eventually. By the time Darkseid managed to create his own alliance, he came to the conclusion that the Grand United Alliance of Law would be the easiest part to establish some sort of relationship with, given that YHVH if a fellow tyrannical god, like he is. When the two finally met after patching things up, Darkseid proposed a deal to allow YHVH an allowance of his military strength while The Great Will would also present him with some backup. To the shock and dismay of many, they actually went ahead with the deal as YHVH felt that Darkseid's aid can give him an advantage against his other enemies and vice-versa, though they consider themselves as equal partners as a distinct way of letting others know of their partnership. Obviously enough, some members of the GUAL are not pleased with the results.
  • Since draining the powers of and killing Zeus (and a number of his demigod children), with the help of his daughter, the Apokoliptian-Amazonian hybrid known as Grail, to return to his original self after being turned into a baby *, gods who are members of various mythological pantheons and those related to those gods (particularly if they're Greek) are not fond of Darkseid. Wonder Woman and Hercules (who was one of the aforementioned demigods killed by Grail), in particular, have sworn vengeance on him for that act. His ability to drain and absorb the power of other gods makes him a massive threat to every single deity in the Pantheon, possibly even more so than he was outside of the Pantheon. However, when against beings lesser than himself, he prefers to force them into serving him, if possible, rather than kill them.
  • He has a few plans for changing some of the Houses and sub-houses after he takes over the Pantheon. All the time-related sub-houses of Time and Temporality and the House of Musicality would have to go, as Darkseid doesn't like how many things can go wrong with Time Travel, and he doesn't like being reminded of that time when he was defeated by Superman singing. Then the Hall of Joy and Happiness in Emotion (with special care to kill Joy and Pollyanna) to get rid of all happiness in the Pantheon. The House of Heroism, of course, don't want to forget that one, for obvious reasons. To most people's surprise, he expects to keep the House of Opposing Fate around despite his hatred of it, as he considers free will to be a terrible thing and can't understand why anyone would want to live with it, so he sometimes likes to use it as a form of punishment.
  • His willingness to use any method to gain control of everyone and everything has gotten him supporters in Big Brother and Molag Bal. His goal of Dystopia perfectly aligns with Big Brother's, and as Darkseid's ally, Big Brother uses his propaganda in a similar manner as Darkseid's servant, Glorious Godfrey, convincing deities to turn against their Alliances and spreading distrust and despair throughout the Pantheon. Darkseid considers Molag Bal to be similar to his Master Torturer, Desaad, except more ambitious and competent, which is quite the compliment from someone like Darkseidnote . To wit, Molag Bal finds himself quite at home in Apokolips, and Darkseid in turn finds Molag Bal's realm of Coldharbour to be a very wonderful place. Although they acknowledge that fulfilling their ambitions will eventually lead to them fighting for dominance, and have prepared for the day that comes, they enjoy working together for the time being.
    • Captain America, much like Darkseid's adopted son, Mister Miracle, champions the fight for freedom and liberty that America represents, making him a natural enemy to the evil god whose tyrannous nature makes him the literal antithesis of all that Captain America fights for.
  • Has been known to manifest himself in the House of Commerce as "Boss Dark Side", the owner and operator of his personal club, the Dark Side Club, which appeals to the richest (and most morally corrupt) deities in the Pantheon, offering the opportunity to gamble on fights between different deities, who he pits against each other by temporarily warping their minds with the Anti-Life Equation. If two deities have battled each other outside Wiz and Boomstick's simulations, odds are good they're matches set up in the Dark Side Club.
  • Despite the reputation Deadpool seems to have with most villains, Darkseid seems to not mind him much and can tolerate much of what the Merc with the Mouth has to say. Perhaps this is because Deadpool reminds Darkseid of Ambush Bug, someone who, like Deadpool, also breaks the fourth wall and is someone Darkseid openly has fun spending time with.
  • Views Galactus as a worthy opponent, as the Devourer of Worlds is one of the few who can tank his Omega Beams (though he insists he was just getting warmed up). Apokolips has no life force for Galactus to feed on, so it holds no value to him. Darkseid has attempted to convince Galactus to aid him in taking over the Pantheon, but so far Galactus isn't terribly interested. His curiosity was piqued when Darkseid told him of New Genesis, which did present a very appetizing prospect. Highfather and the other New Gods on New Genesis did not appreciate the trouble that brought.
  • Finds Santa Claus incredibly annoying, because he somehow manages to break through his defenses on Apokolips for the sole purpose of giving him coal every single year on Christmas. Of course, the reason Santa Claus does this is because Darkseid is at the very top of his naughty list, and still is, even compared to the rest of the Pantheon, so Santa is obviously not too fond of him either.
  • Bowser doesn't get along with Darkseid. While the two are rulers with incredible power and a massive fear factor backing them up, Bowser dearly loves his son and is openly and genuinely respected by his troops and supporters. In stark contrast, Darkseid despises his sons, Orion, Kalibak, and his adopted son, Scott Free AKA Mister Miracle, and has no problem killing them while also subjugating his followers using terror to force them to revere him.
    • As much as he hates his sons, he does have a strange caring for his oldest son, Kalibak, which is more fueled by the memory of his mother, Darkseid's first and only love. For this reason, he hates High Councilor Kal-El for killing Kalibak almost as much as he hates the High Councilor's mainstream counterpart.
    • Speaking of abusive fathers, Darkseid's is not exactly a nice guy. Though having ascended to the title of God of Evil and living up to the title well, Darkseid does not actually embody Evil, but Tyranny. His father, Yuga Khan, is the original God of Evil whose title was usurped by his son. True to form, Yuga Khan is much, much worse than Darkseid is, both as a father (which is really saying something) and an individual (Yuga Khan, despite not being a Pantheonic deity, may technically be in the Pantheon, as he’s perpetually stuck to the Source Wall). Darkseid hates his father with a passion, and this hatred justifiably extends to those that remind him of him, such as the Pantheon's own God of Evil, Melkor, and Aku, the being made of evil.
    • There was one intergalactic being that was similar to Darkseid in some way or another; Ultraman Belial. Like Darkseid himself, Belial was a being who desired to rule the universe with an iron fist and was a member of a divine race that began to rebel against his kind the moment he desired ultimate power much like Darkseid himself when he was Uxas. When the two met, both took to respecting one another for their determination and their prowess. However, any chances of establishing a firm partnership were dashed the moment Darkseid learned that Belial was a member of the Grand United Alliance of Destruction. Fortunately, Belial's respect for the Lord of Tyranny meant that he was, at least, more tolerable than Melkor in some capacity so the idea of an alliance is still possible, that is if Belial relinquishes his GUAD membership in favour of Darkseid. There's also the fact that both have opposing sons so there's more to their similarity than just being Galactic Evil Overlords. Naturally, Riku Asakura, Belial's successor and biological son opposes Darkseid and so does the rest of the Ultramen due to how he resembles Belial so much, in addition to his capacity to destroy entire planets and being a cosmic threat who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.
  • The alliance long-planned by Darkseid has now become a reality. The GUAE Dystopia Harbingers has members from other alliances like the Grand United Alliances of Evil, Law, Chaos and Destruction. This sudden shake-up has many Alliance leaders worried about the dual membership and some have even considered brief truces with Darkseid so they can keep an eye on him and hopefully keep his rising role in the Alliance war minor. However, Darkseid only considers brief team-ups if the proposal acknowledges him as the superior being.
    • Had a chance encounter with Sauron who felt dissatisfied with his position in the GUAE and Melkor favouring Lord Voldemort over him in a leading position on the GUAE Malum Magia. Darkseid decided to convince Sauron to quit the GUAE and to enlist him as a chief enforcer and a personal right-hand man, both to bolster his forces and as a way to spite Melkor.
    • The Anti-Spiral was a being that intrigued Darkseid greatly as the former was driven by a need to subjugate others via fearmongering and putting a halt to their potential evolution in an effort to stave off the Spiral Nemesis. While it did do this with good intent, it eventually drove the Anti-Spiral mad to the point where it became a control-obsessed tyrant. Seeing as the Anti-Spiral felt alienated by all the other alliances and was disappointed by Team Dai-Gurren, Darkseid assured him that he, too, was seeking order and that together, they can work together to strongarm their enemies and pin them down to submission. Seeing the Lord of Tyranny's methods as heavily effective after taking a glance at Apokolips, the Anti-Spiral decided that Darkseid was the most worthy ally they could hope to have and serves as the closest asset Darkseid could have to a mecha sub-unit. Incidentally, this caught the attention of Team Dai-Gurren themselves, who expressed dread and disgust at just what Darkseid was capable of, thinking that he's worse than the Anti-Spiral regarding control, immediately declaring him a threat.
    • Shortly thereafter, Darkseid crossed paths with Archaon the Everchosen, who at first wanted nothing to do with him. Darkseid managed to catch Archaon's attention by mentioning the Chaos Gods and how every alliance opposed him, given his reputation and him destroying his own world, which stunned Archaon. Darkseid offered an arrangement in which he would supply Archaon with resources to rebel against the Chaos Gods as long as he commited his service and the loyalty of the Everchosen to Darkseid, which would give the Lord of Apokolips a substantial legion of Daemons to add to his forces. Archaon agreed, albeit hesitantly, and has taken the role of Darkseid's ace.
    • Impressed with AM and his nightmarish approach to torturing its opposes. Darkseid feels as if AM is the perfect replacement for Desaad, viewing the former as more competent in its specialty. AM also likes Darkseid for his approach in instilling fear and hopelessness towards others. However, AM also has ties with Melkor, something which Darkseid wishes to abolish in hopes of having AM on its side.
  • Due to embodying Tyranny, Darkseid has made foes with those who promote hope, but the one he has special enmity towards is Madoka Kaname, whose actions regarding redemption, love and peace disgust and anger Darkseid to no end. Despite knowing the pact that Madoka and her quintet make holds consequences, Darkseid isn't too keen on the Incubators either, seeing them as counterproductive beings whose wishes can be used against them. The Lord of Apokolips has vowed to either brutally kill Madoka or imprison her in the Omega Sanction as a means to spread helplessness and terror towards his opponents.
  • Angra Mainyu upon ascending into the Pantheon, declared many of the residing Evil Gods a rival, Darkseid included. However, Darkseid not only ignores it, but considers Angra Mainyu to be someone who is highly incompetent and pathetic for someone to champion himself as a God of Evil. Angra Mainyu wishes to have Darkseid acknowledge him, to no avail as Darkseid backs up his villainous credibility with numerous feats and for instilling fear and terror towards his oppressors, all of which Angra Mainyu lacks.
  • Zamasu outright loathes Darkseid with a passion, seeing him as a perversion of the concept of Gods and finds the very concept of an "Evil God" to be blasphemous and twisted. Darkseid on the other hand, finds Zamasu to be a joke in his belief and goals, outright stating him to be no different from the races he wishes to destroy. The very fact that Zamasu champions himself as a "well-intentioned" and righteous bringer of Justice only causes Darkseid to further underscore what a deluded, hopeless figure he really is. He knows full well it infuriates Zamasu, and he enjoys it.
See what I have made! Imagine what is yet to come! I take away their confusion and give them obedience. I take away their fear of themselves and give them fear of Darkseid. I have liberated them from the chaos and indecision! I have given one straight path! One clear purpose! One goal: To die for Darkseid!

    Frank Underwood

  • It's not easy to envision and live out a life as a politician. You can try to imagine trying to be the leader of a country, and the amount of stress and effort needed is more daunting than one could ever imagine, on top of needing to possess an incredible display of ambition and wit to get ahead in the political game, let alone becoming leader. Such is the case for the United States, but what if the president played his game through emotional and mental manipulation, discarding his assets once used and committing any act of irredeemable action, all to become the 46th President of the United States? This was accomplished by Francis Joseph Underwood, a brilliant schemer and manipulator who was able to fool the general public into seeing him in good light and doing a very good job in masking himself in false charm and politeness.
  • Frank's first feelings in the Pantheon were one of total apathy and initial discontent. He was surrounded by commoners who minded their own business and went along with optimism and smiles. Frank gritted, marching his way around a city street. He soon managed to collect a newspaper about a recent event by the Court of the Gods. This was surprising to him as Frank realized that he may not be in Washington D.C. at all and immediately made a dash towards the closest city exit. With a quick scheme, he was able to convince a taxi cab into driving him to a city outskirts and was able to hide his face effectively well throughout the whole incident. Upon exiting the cab, Frank walked up a hill and glanced at the city where he once was moments ago, confirming his guess that he was in a new world.
    • It was from this hill that Frank came across Griffith, who greeted himself and asked of him. Frank sneered at the Godhand member, stating that he couldn't give a crap about the concept of gods, but Griffith redacted by stating that he'll be meeting several gods and that he would need to get ready for it. This amused Frank as he found the idea that he, the president of the United States was now in a position of Godhood, despite Frank being dismissive of the concept. Griffith then offered him a position in the Grand United Alliance of Evil, given how Frank lived out his life personally and as president. Initially divided, he begrudgingly accepted, but told Griffith that he would like to receive a leading position, thinking that a president in a lowly position would look embarrassing on his part. Frank was then accompanied by Griffith to be taken to an apparition of Melkor, who introduced himself as the Pantheon's top God of Evil. Deciding to work on Frank's leadership and manipulation skills, he allowed Frank into the GUAE Mastermind, under Griffith's service. Though he accepted the deal, Frank opted to work things out mostly in his own way.
  • Melkor was asked if Frank can establish a collection of cities for the GUAE forces. Frank stated that although they are a massive force that can reach up among the cosmos, the absence of a city would not work well for villains who seek accommodation, plus he can kickstart financial earnings and an economic system for their gains. He wanted this to happen so that he could provide some kind of influence for the GUAE and to feel accomplished in some way. He got his wish, although to his dismay, Melkor established a small number of cities exclusive to the GUAE. Although disappointed, Frank went ahead, vowing to work into expanding the GUAE's territory.
  • Frank is... not liked by numerous residents, or at least after they find out what kind of person he really is. They think Frank is disproportionately petty and vindictive and they'll underscore that his presidency only ruined the lives of several citizens, especially mentioning his orchestrated cyber attacks, bombings and dumping sarin gas, the latter as a Pretext for War. Not that Frank couldn't give a damn about morality and his critics' feelings. Melkor likes Frank for that habit.
  • He is a political genius who is able to quickly deduce and exploit laws and regulations to his advantage. This is a trait not many members of the GUAE possess and this serves to make Melkor more impressed. Frank however sneers at the God of Evil over the fact that he preps so much time trying to settle scores in fighting and waging wars that he couldn't take the time to win competitions using only his wits and knowledge. Melkor held off his anger, but does know that the GUAE doesn't have many politicians on their side.
    • Griffith is somewhat unusual. Frank does express some respect over his leadership and being able to play with other's emotions and expectations to his means. Upon hearing of Griffith's sacrifice of the Band of the Hawk, Frank took to talking to him about it and what satisfaction did it bring. Griffith stated that the event got him everything he ever wanted and that its a waste of time to consider grieving for others. Frank agreed with what Griffith had to state, but has told him that he'd remain human than be an Apostle. They're currently on decent terms, with Frank often thinking about teaching Griffith on how to be a skilled manipulator and exploiter of politics and law.
  • Every once in a while, Frank will talk without anyone around his presence. He will often state how crap humanity is, how easily manipulable people are in general and ask if you really are considerate and beneficial as an individual. He'll often rant about numerous events, small or large scaled, play it up to be a supposed great or terrible thing and then profess that in the end, you're worthless in simply just witnessing it and providing nothing about the events. Turns out, he is talking to the audience. Once Frank is all alone without anybody, he'll resort to taking out his frustration towards his supposed audience and his viewers. He's somewhat well-aware that he is a fictional character, but that is not going to hold him back.
    • For his fourth-wall exploitation, he found a companion under Bernkastel who is also someone who takes to interacting the Fourth Wall and insulting her viewers over the fact that they're her allies (whether they like it or not). Frank seems impressed by what Bernkastel is capable of and both sometimes talk about how to exploit people and ruin their opportunities to do better.
  • Previous United States Presidents, especially Theodore Roosevelt, despise Frank for his callous, self-serving and remorseless nature and declare him to be a complete disgrace in representing their country. Frank shot back, stating that they too, were self-serving to some extent and that they didn't always provide back for the US populace, not to mention how every US President tends to be negatively viewed by some. Unfortunately for Frank, lots of residents pointed out on how all of what Frank said applies greatly towards him more than the other presidents. This had Frank back away for quite some time before throwing in another rant privately (Or rather towards his viewers outside the fourth wall).
    • Frank, however, reserves his greatest scorn towards Jed Bartlet when it comes to American presidents. He is astonished and outright disgusted to learn how optimistic and idealistic Bartlet comes off, seeing him as unrealistic and a showoff. Bartlet sees Underwood as a complete disgrace to America and questions how can such a vile and condescending man even become president. While he does his best to hide it, much of Underwood's hatred towards Bartlet can come off as petty as Bartlet loves his wife and daughters and is usually beloved by the people he works with while Frank couldn't care less about anybody and sees them as chess pieces to be used and discarded, even his wife.
  • Some have noticed that Frank looks a lot like Lex Luthor. Turns out, the two have met and conversed with one another. Frank was surprised to see that Lex also became the American President a few times before entering the Pantheon and the two quickly became accommodate with one another. When Lex started to mention "the alien", Frank, preferring to go with "Superman" replied with a condescending "He's overrated as fuck. No novelty, just a generic representation for the populace to flaunt on and whine for". This amused Lex quite a lot.
    • Unsurprisingly, Superman and Captain America despise Frank for being the complete antithesis to what America stands for and for being a morally bankrupt individual in general. Lois Lane also hates him for exploiting a journalist and then killing her when she served him no purpose and wanted to eliminate evidence. Frank, on the other hand, sees Superman and Captain America as cheap and pathetic in his own point of view.
    • On a flipside, Frank hates his other lookalike, John Doe, for being someone who is far too deluded in his own killing spree and his religious philosophy. John sees Frank as an idiotic leader in return and a perfect representation of Pride, which Frank rather takes as a compliment. Frank has a rather... interesting way of summing up John Doe:
Frank: John Doe, eh? Thinks he's a deep and righteous person? Like fucking hell, Christians will ever take to even giving him one good compliment. Isn't it in the rule that we aren't supposed to kill because of Damnation. Then again, he decided to screw a woman, kill her and be a sin representative himself, throwing himself into this belief bullshit that he had established. While messing with her lover cop is a rather interesting twist, he's a delusional mess, always was, and my respect to him is like how I treat toilet paper.
  • He has been compared as a tyrant, which only amuses Frank further. Alongside this, he finds himself in good company with Palpatine and the two seem to relate to one another regarding a Lack of Empathy and trickery. Even Darkseid seems to respect Frank to a degree, despite the Lord of Tyranny being opposed to Melkor, seeing his intellect as challenging and focused. Another admirer is Sauron, who thinks that Frank is noteworthy for his species and would sometimes talk to him. That said, being a defector of the GUAE, Sauron can't interact with Frank for long, unless he brings in Melkor's presence.
    • Other tyrannical figures like Gihren Zabi, Muruta Azrael and Tywin Lannister are cordial with Frank and are willing to establish diplomatic relations with him as a means to strengthen the GUAE's unity and accelerate budget increase for propaganda, weapons development and other actions that would please Melkor. Gihren and Muruta have praised Frank for committing attacks and killing innocents to further his career and Tywin can relate to Frank's methodical and sharp tactics and thinking to get ahead and outsmart his foes.
    • However, being a tyrant-like figure has gotten him enemies under Night Raid and Akame, who've made no stops in attempting to assassinate him at any given moment. Frank, however, has a collection of Apostles sent by Griffith to keep him protected. The Phantom Thieves of Hearts are also gunning for the chance in rewriting his heart, and Frank isn't going to allow a pack of teenage thieves to change his entire character. However, he became more concerned when he found about what they did to Shido to make him confess his own crimes. Since then he has begun to secretly fear them.
    • However, he is somewhat nervous at the prospect of SCP-2578-D, considering they're hellbent in targeting and killing tyrants, with which Frank isn't any different from. This is one of the few instances where Frank feels that he needs Melkor and Griffith, as he's a politician, not a fighter, and thus, can't defend himself against beings who would fire a Kill Sat to make sure the job is done.
  • Senator Steven Armstrong has conflicted feelings about Frank. He believes that he is very proficient and clever in politics and mind games, but he also thinks that he's too self-serving and petty to the point where he's actually poisonous towards America. Frank, on the other hand, chides Armstrong for being a Well-Intentioned Extremist and believes that while Armstrong would be of great physical asset, his worldview contradicts his, and that doesn't sit well for him. A similar sentiment comes from lookalike Jonathan Irons who, while also malicious and oppressive thinks what he's doing is good for his country. Irons thinks Frank should drop his petty games and focus on building up his ambitions, which he took to doing as soon as Irons said this.
    • Frank also has a working relationship with Lord Djibril, although their feelings are strained at best. They're both utterly depraved, have used war as a slogan for promotion and would sell-out their associates to further their own goals, but Djibril's cowardly nature when it comes to dealing with opponents leaves Frank frustrated. Lord Djibril thinks Frank is too self-centered. Frank came up with this retort...
Frank: You think I kiss my own ass too much when you fail to realize you're no different. We are shitty politicians, but that's where it ends. You're a cowering whelp who can't find a solution to handle yourself when things go against you. At least I learn enough of my associates to learn of their weaknesses and counter them in the off chance I'm potentially opposed. It's easy why Muruta was said to be better; he got shit done. Heck, being a coward is what you're known for. It's your godly moniker after all.
    • That said, Frank is rather cordial with the Enclave, given how they are a morally twisted iteration of America. Frank is currently thinking about establishing bilateral relations between the GUAE and the Enclave by any means necessary, yet also wants to attempt to convince them to give up seeking any remotely noble intentions so that they may be able to easily work together. He also gets along with fellow Corrupt Politician Ethan Roark Senior and Frank is willing to give him money and resources for Roark Senior to carry on his political career in the oath that Frank also gets to keep his position intact and strong. That said, he hates Ethan Roark Junior for being uncontrollable and a pain to work with, despite knowing that he's just as depraved as he is. Frank finds it annoying that he can't kill Roark Junior unless he were to ruin his working relations with Roark Senior.
  • Is very open about his disdain and contempt for children. He'll mention it every once in a while. Naturally, this made him an enemy towards the House of Family and numerous Good Parents have come to dislike Frank for his approach towards the young, especially considering he convinced his wife to have an abortion.
  • Thanks to Frank, the GUAE are able to gain prominence in the topic of Government and Politics, something which Melkor and Griffith found pleasing as they feel they could challenge the Court of the Gods in this regard if they continue to engineer and bolster their political interests higher up. They intend to have Frank be one of their representing politicians due to his skills and intellect, but they also have to keep in check of Frank's ego as they've noticed how needy and ambitious he could get.

  • In 2110, a galactic struggle between the Ur-Quan Hierarchy and other strange alien races seeking to fight back against a fate of slavery would unravel. Originally a union between the crystalline Chenjesu and the mechanical Mmrnmhrm, the two species began to seek for more help to stand up to their overwhelming foes, gaining the support of the battle-ready Yehat and Shofixti, and later humanity itself was pulled into the conflict as they had managed to expand into space as well. Eventually, the Arilou would also assist the Alliance due to humanity's involvement, and finally the Syreen joined the other races to make their stand against the Ur-Quan and their Battle Thralls. Despite the technological superiority of the Ur-Quan, the Alliance managed to hold off the Hierarchy, proving to be more than a pushover for the alien conquerors. Or so they thought, until the Ur-Quan decided to pull off their secret weapon- a garguantan, exotic, and destructive starship known as the Sa-Matra, which swept through the Alliance's fleets and causing resistance to falter greatly. Under Chenjesu suggestion, the defeated Alliance would for the most part surrender to the Ur-Quan and become their slaves, recognizing they could not win the war.
  • What they hadn't expected, aside from the fact that the Ur-Quan would soon leave to deal with another enemy Ur-Quan race, was that an Earthling colony known as Unzervalt would avoid the fate of being slave-shielded and soon launched a grand ship based off of Precursor technology, and with it, another opportunity for freedom from Ur-Quan oppression. Despite the varying and complicated situations each race was in, the Alliance races would get together, and with additional allies to boot, and unite once again to form the New Alliance of Free Stars. To do all they could to secure a victory against the Ur-Quan, the New Alliance of Free Stars sent scouting fleets to gather resources, although one found itself travelling through a strange Hyperspace portal, and ended up in a new realm outside their galaxy. It wasn't too long before the rest of the Alliance came to check out the discoveries this particular fleet made, and finding a far stranger universe beyond their imagination. Approached by the Pantheon's extraterrestrial ambassadors and starship crews, the Pantheon would learn of the Alliance's goals of freeing themselves from the Ur-Quan, motivating the Pantheon's Earthlings to having the alien races of the New Alliance of Free Stars ascend as trope representatives of The Alliance.
  • As bizarre as these aliens can appear, the members of the New Alliance of Free Stars were even more surprised at what the Pantheon introduced to them. Not the things like magic and actual divinity, but more so how prominent humans were in this Pantheon. It's not that any of them had major beef with humans (that's just a VUX problem), but the humans AKA Earthlings they're familiar with were of far smaller scale in terms of technology and abilities, though with how even they managed to get the other races back up and running, there's only respect from the Alliance's side. Regardless, the Alliance's human representative, Commander Hayes, was simply delighted to meet with more fellow humans outside his fellow Starbase crew, given that his Earth was covered by a red Ur-Quan slave-shield. Some Chmmr individuals did decide to inquire a few members of the Pantheon about why humans had such an enormous supply of nuclear armaments and weaponry (which was used for Earthling Cruisers in their universe) back when the first Ur-Quan Slave War was upon them, which set up quite the awkward atmosphere.
  • The New Alliance of Free Stars as it is now wouldn't be here as it is now if it weren't for the efforts of a particular Earthling pilot that the aliens refer to as the Captain. One of the biggest contributions the Captain brought to the table was an incomplete but customizable model of a great ship designed by their universe's Precursors, known as The Flagship. Unusually, the Captain hasn't gotten around to joining the Pantheon, and there's no sign of him planning to arrive either. While others are theorizing him to be another avatar of (Insert Name Here), the Alliance of Free Stars simply decided to meet up with the closest person the Pantheon had to him, Commander Shepard. Considering that handling diplomatic relations with other alien species was practically his job, the New Alliance of Free Stars would soon enough find itself in good hands with other Good-aligned space heroes and the GUAG as well, welcoming the extraterrestrials and their plight to liberate others from tyranny.
  • Many a spacefaring crew and cosmic guardian team alike have been delighted to have various individuals from the New Alliance of Free Stars getting assigned to various assisting positions on their missions. Whether it's in assisting in diplomatic affairs with other alien species, providing an extra hand in fending off colonies and planets from invaders, or just making the adventure more fun, the Alliance has been hard at work with helping and representing their fellow Good-aligned aliens. Occasionally, some of the herald races like to join in, since the Captain had helped them out, and thus they were interested in getting involved in Pantheonic space. It has gotten the House of Sports irked with requests related to "Frungy representation" regularly, though.
    • On top of being inevitably made into "friends" of the Blorg Commonality, they learned from them of the presence of the Slylandro in the Pantheon. While things were a little tense at first given that they were indirectly responsible for the havoc caused by the Slylandro Probes, the Slylandro were forgiven, and some of the Alliance's ships are now watching over the Slylandro Probe to prevent it from harming others again.
  • No one really expected the New Alliance of Free Stars to be happy meeting the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za, but the Kzer-Za seem to have taken such actions of rebellion more personally than expected. Not only did they reform the Alliance as Fallow Slaves, but it turned out that the Ur-Quan's kinder gestures before their enslaving ended up being taken advantage of in order for the New Alliance of Free Stars to form in the first place. For the Chmmr, they only managed to become a fused and more powerful race due to the Ur-Quan accepting their request to be slave-shielded together, with the Chmmr having planned to strike back after their initial defeat the whole time. The same applies with the Syreen, who were even given their own suitable planet (to be slave-shielded on, of course) after the Ur-Quan learned their original planet was destroyed. While the Syreen do feel incredibly guilty about taking advantage of such generosity, they're still staunchly set on sticking with the rest of the Alliance to the end. It's also meant that any interactions toward each other are void of any mercy, with the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za declaring their new Alliance as punishable by complete annihilation alone. It's only in the tightest and most necessary occasions of Enemy Mine that they'll hold fire from each other, but once those obstacles are cleared away, starship duels are inevitable.
    • The Alliance was rather surprised that some Battle Thralls of the Ur-Quan had their own temple complete with their own trope. Both the Yehat and Shofixti hold a grudge towards the VUX as a result of Admiral ZEX storing several Shofixti maidens in his collection, though the former respect him as a Worthy Opponent. And in their battles with the Thraddash, some join them after several battles for the sake of learning from those showing brutal superiority over them, though considering their reckless and lack of real loyalty, they're treated as "come-and-go" units should they have to deal with joining Thraddash.
  • As if the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za weren't enough for them, there were quite the frightening amounts of alien conquerors and empires, from the Combine to the Harvesters, the former of which also having taken over their Earth/Sol III as well, along with ADVENT. While the New Alliance of Free Stars had learned about humans' own share of monsters, figurative and literal, they were disappointed that attempts of peaceful contact would be dashed by hostility and malevolence from the invasion-preferring alien organizations. Similar sentiments would be shared with the more notorious representatives of fanatic order and blighted tyranny, including the Grand United Alliance of Law as well as the Harbingers of Repression. And at least the Ur-Quan had a decent though not justifiable motivation behind their own drive to enslave or kill everyone else, the Alliance found the likes of them to be raving mad, at least far beyond their reason. Although, there were some Yehat that genuinely respected the GUAL's goals, given that some were proud of the long eras of civility and order their Veep-Neep dynasty brought along to displace the clan wars that occurred before.
  • Tragic as it is, dealing with xenophobic races was something the Alliance was prepared for, from the bigoted VUX to the paranoid and omnicidal Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah, who now have the Grand United Alliance of Destruction with them. The Daleks weren't too different from their Kohr-Ah allies, but the Chmmr learned about Dalek Sec from the Doctor, who they are communicating with to learn how to combat the Daleks more effectively. As for the other Dalek that Sec shares his temple with, Dalek Caan is currently unwilling to reach out to them for the time. As for the xenophobes among the humans, it does get more complicated, even accounting for the involvement with some humans from the Alliance as well. The Illusive Man has plenty of disdain for the Alliance given the advantages most of the alien races have over their humans, on top of distrust toward the likes of the Chmmr, and especially the Arilou. Despite his Cerberus organization as well as other opposing human-led armies like that of Palpatine's Empire, the Alliance knows better than to lower themselves to looking down on humans in general.
    • The God-Emperor of Mankind also has his own doubts about the trustworthiness of the Alliance of Free Stars, but given that their claims and genuine efforts to treat all the Alliance races with equal respect, humanity included, he's willing to tolerate and cooperate with them, though he's mighty uncomfortable with the Arilou, given that they had much influence on humanity in their universe, which brings up many questions what they intend for humankind in general. The Arilou's answers didn't quell his concerns, but they simply stated that they have no intention on letting humans be victimized by outside forces, especially the Chaos Gods, who they want to be put of their way just as much as the God-Emperor does. Given how much trouble it would be to try and get more details from them, he'll just have to accept their support with a watchful eye regardless, on top of having the Imperium of Man be wary of something the Arilou warned them about, known as the Orz. He's given the Arilou a stern warning that if they cross certain boundaries, they'll have hell to pay for, which the green men have acknowledged bemusingly.
  • For the Chmmr:
    • Being the closest to what the Alliance would consider the leaders, given their roles in the earlier wars against the Ur-Quan, the Alliance have the Chmmr take a majority of the responsibility for organization and communication with other allies in the Pantheon. And being the most technologically advanced race of the Alliance, even before The Process that had their two component races fused, they were quick to share plenty of the technology and resources they had with their comrades. Additionally, the two races they're composed of, the Chenjesu and Mmrnmhrm, do warrant interest from outsiders in their unusual workings.
      • The Chenjesu, as a race of sapient crystals, mainly subsisted from electric energy and communicated through the electrical energy fields they exerted, on top of their innate ability to receive and transmit Hyperwave signals, which the Chmmr continue to utilize for communication through the cosmos. Despite never having a natural need for hostility when they were simply crystals, their advanced intellect proved useful for handling war just as well as it did in their exploration of philosophy and knowledge. The Mmrnmhrm, on the other hand, are sentient mechanical beings that used to be manufactured from a mysterious and now defunct vessel known as the Mother-Ark. Despite their programmed goals of colonization, among other unknown goals, they were capable of cooperation and wariness of other races' boundaries.
    • The Chmmr found themselves most capable with fellow intellectual/peaceful races, including the Ood, the Vortigaunts, and the Formics. Given some of the Chenjesu traits they've inherited, they've also managed to communicate and be on friendly terms with the Regi Trio, though said communication still proves difficult to comprehend outside of the Chmmr's own explanations. Additionally, the Chmmr made a major ally out of Optimus Prime and the other Autobots for the purpose of frequent communication and assistance in each other's duties.
    • Some have rightfully addressed concerns regarding how the Process that had the Chmmr come out from the two fused races they're from being rushed as a result of the Process being boosted by a special sun device. Considering the urgency of the situation regarding the Ur-Quan Kohr-Ah, there wasn't much they could do about it, taking to account that it would normally take decades to complete, and certainly less time than they could afford. Their contacts with the specific allies they've reached out to have been given pieces of contingency plans in case something wrong occurs with them, though they hope it doesn't become a problem later on.
    • The Great Diamond Authority and their subjects, while essentially crystalline beings similar to the Chenjesu that the Chmmr consist of, are looked upon with much dismay from the Chmmr given that they chose a path of conquest and subjugation of other worlds. The fact that the Diamonds want to reform hadn't really convinced them either. The two groups are willing to be on good terms if only because of Steven who serves as a mediator between the two groups, with the Chmmr deciding to trust Steven and his allies for keeping things in check. Steven himself along with the other Crystal Gems have shown much curiosity given the Chmmr's status as essentially an entire race of crystal and mechanical beings undergoing fusion, even if their reasons for fusion were pragmatic rather than based on emotional bonds.
  • For the Yehat:
    • Their situation is highly complicated when it comes to loyalties. Unlike the other races that were enslaved by the Kzer-Za, the Yehat's dynasty leader, the Veep-Neep Queen, chose to uphold her reputation of never letting the Yehat face defeat by having the Yehat become a battle thrall race became a great point of contention among the many Yehat clans. And further developments involving the Shofixti they uplifted led to a great civil war between the Starship Clans who wanted to rejoin the Alliance for the greater good of their former allies, there were the Royalist Clans who valued the millenia of traditions and order set by their dynasty of queens. Furthermore, the Veep-Neep Queen turns out to have came along into the Pantheon, still aligned with the Ur-Quan Kzer-Za, with the Royalist clans following her example, although the Royalist clans also show respect to some of the long-standing monarchs and warriors in the GUAL as well.
    • As a Proud Warrior Race, the Yehat get along fast with similarly-aligned warriors that highly value bravery, tenacity, and valiance by default, or if they're too selfish like The Mantis, worthy rivals at the very least. They've certainly gained much respect for the many Space Marines and the like in the Pantheon, surprised that humans could have such valiant warriors fighting just as boldly as their Yehat veterans. On their off-time, some Yehat crew members squabble with each other like crazed fans about said warriors that they've begun to idolize. The Royalist Yehat on the other hand, see said individuals as a dreadful yet worthy challenge for their honor. Regardless of alignment, they've even shown much awe in the giant monster Rodan, who they tend to respect as a sort of Yehat paragon, though they do realize Rodan has no relation to their Yehat ancestry or culture.
    • Bringing up the Pkunk, an extemely peaceful and quirky offshoot of the Yehat race, is a quick way to press the Yehat's Berserk Button. The Pkunk may be Heralds here but they'd like to pretend otherwise for now. Even the Starship Clans' Yehat members had a lot of tension with the Chozo in the Pantheon, given that their dedication to non-violence and their pursuit of spiritual wisdom evokes the image of the Pkunk too much for their liking. The Chozo return said feelings given the amount of disdain they had for their own former warrior-like culture, yet another reason for the Yehat to dislike them. However, the Yehat that are part of the Alliance greatly admire their "successor", Samus Aran, that they'll hold back all temptations to try and strangle them since they prioritize having her respect and good graces.
  • For the Arilou:
    • Humanity has always had much to speculate on the possibility of aliens watching or perhaps creeping upon us throughout our history, and attributing many strange phenomenon on Earth to such aliens, and it seems that the Arilou might be an answer to those rumors. While they're part of the Alliance, they lean towards being an Aloof Ally, if anything, speaking to their allies through telepathy and other distant means. Fortunately for us, they seem to view humanity in a positive and supportive light, and have gotten the good graces of similar aliens like the Beheeyem or E.T., interested in their experiences with humans. However, their secretiveness has brought great speculation upon them considering how well they fit the gossip befitting that of "The Greys", the "Little Green Men", "Martians", and so on. They've made the occasional hint of their influence towards the early development of humankind and conducting the occasional experiment on related animals, and maybe a human or two at some point, with little elaboration on their part, to the discomfort of many, especially Scully and Mulder, or The Question. The Arilou have also taken to observing individuals of great psychic or mental potential, including Louise Banks for her ability to communicate with the Heptapods.
    • Groups related to upholding a masquerade like the SCP Foundation, or managing aliens that would try anything funny on humans, like The Men In Black, would certainly have tried to reach out to the Arilou, had they not been contacted by the Arilou themselves before they could think of it. Thankfully, their intentions nor requests held any hostility or contempt towards them, but rather of an odd admiration towards them mixed with curiosity of managing the strangest anomalies and mysteries that they'd hope humanity would never had to deal with. In fact, one of their biggest priorities is protecting humanity from the likes of eldritch forces including those already in the Pantheon or anything that could corrupt or destroy humanity as a whole, although their methods of doing so by diverting curiosity away from said beings on top of potentially manipulating humankind as a whole to do so makes work between very complicated.
    • While the Alliance as a whole can travel through space quickly through travelling through Hyperspace, far faster than the speed of light in normal space even, the Arilou belong to a special dimension called Quasi-Space, which is essentially Hyperspace to Hyperspace itself in terms of travelling. Arilou settlements can be found in such a dimension, and the Arilou have explained that accessing Quasispace requires knowledge of concepts like Inter-dimensional Fatigue that are far too dangerous for humanity to handle. However, the Arilou have claimed to be able to give technology for accessing Quasi-Space for those who are trustworthy enough to have it, and having a method to make it apply to their ships. The Combine have attempted to get Quasi-Space technology through Breen, but the Arilou have seen through their deception and have effectively blacklisted them.
  • For the Syreen:
    • The Syreen may as well be Kirk's wildest dreams come true, a mostly-female race of humanoid aliens, who in contrast to a majority of aliens from their universe, have a great resemblance to humans, and it even turns out that Syreen and humans are actually very physiologically and genetically similar to the point that crossbreeding is actually viable. Even their culture is effectively a Foil to human culture as a whole, given that Syreen culture grew to be a singular, peaceful, agriculture-based community where our planet consists of many separate cultures, a good amount of which having embraced industrial pursuits or getting involved in war. Furthermore, Syreen society and military was primarily centered around the females in contrast to our history of male-dominated society. This may not be a Contrived Coincidence, and may or may not be something the Arilou have an answer to, but many men who meet them aren't letting those guesses keep them waiting, on top of other similar alien individuals from Aayla Secura to Liara T'Soni.
    • They're also noted to have relatively more psychic activity overall in comparison to humans, to the interest of human espers and psychics in the Pantheon. More notably, with use of a psychic amplifier, Syreen Penetrator starships can utilize their psionic powers to allure enemy crew members to their ships to convert them into allies, to Iroque's interest. Of course, it's brought up concerns and objections to the Syreen's usage of such abilities, including Lum who grew anxious about them planning to steal her boyfriend away, though the Syreen affirmed that they'd leave him alone. It's also for this reason they don't get along too well with the more soldier-like forces of the Adepta Sororitas, on top of the Syreen being "bewitching" aliens.
    • The fact that their society was centered around their women ending playing a big role in how few Syreen men were among them, due to a majority of them dying when their home planet, Syra, was destroyed by a strange meteorite that would later be revealed to be a Mycon Deep Child that rendered their planet inhospitable, rendering sympathy from those who had lost their planets in similar manner, as well as the Syreen's ire toward those who would cause such damage in the first place. On top of opposing the GUAD and similar aliens like the Grox would be normally eager to use Mycon Deep Children to wreck more planets for their own benefit, the Shroobs have become an infuriating foe to them with their resemblance to the Mycon themselves, on top of their destructive nature. They've also become a pain in the Death Busters' plots, using their psychic abilities to make finding new hosts more difficult for them.
  • For the Shofixti:
    • The Shofixti's attitude can be remarkably similar to those of feudal samurai, including their desire to go out fighting, even to the point of rigging their own ships with bombs known as Glory Devices that effectively turn their starships into kamikaze units. With their ferocity, it's no wonder the Yehat uplifted them in the first place, or the fact that they've grown a fondness for the samurai in the Pantheon as well. However, the Shofixti's unwillingness to accept surrender would lead to them blowing up their own sun with a Precursor Bomb, wiping out nearly all their fleet and part of the Kzer-Za's as well. Speaking of how it ended up helping their Kohr-Ah brethren tends to ashame harshly enough that it'll tempt them to find the nearest foe to explode on.
    • While their ships are light and fragile, the Shofixti are reputable for both populating and growing up to become pilots rather quickly, so these marsupials can be found scouting the cosmos wherever their ships can take them. As a result, straggling or wandering Shofixti can burst into other teams' missions, which people like Han Solo can attest to. They're also prone to insulting foes on the battlefield or in any general fight, and at one point threw Guybrush Threepwood into a friendly but odd sword duel with three Shofixti stacked on top of one another, all trying to throw insults at him at once, causing him to wonder if he was having Lite Grog or actual Grog that day.
