Pantheon / GUAE Malum Magia

Go To

If the Conquest Force is the frontline force of GUAE, then Malum Magia is the artillery force of GUAE. Evil mages, warlocks, sorcerers, shamans, witches, necromancers, liches and occultists makes up a large bulk of Malum Magia, but the biggest danger comes from the divine members of Malum Magia. Malum Magia also stands as the Evil Counterpart to the GUAG Magical Girl Sisterhood.

Malum Magia was founded when Melkor realized that when the alliance's mages are in the Conquest Force, they're more likely to be forced into close quarter combat and thus easily defeated. To rectify this, Melkor tasked Voldemort with the mission to create a combat division to organize the mages of GUAE and ensure that they're able to bombard their enemies with spells while staying out of danger. Voldemort decided to enlist the aid of Gul'dan, Shinnok and Zeref to create the Malum Magia and convince the other magic users of the GUAE to join them. As a reward, the Trio of Black Magic is second-in-command of the entire division, and acts as the substitute masters of Malum Magia when Voldemort is occupied with different matters. This group was dealt a crippling blow when Sauron departed the GUAE to pursue an alliance with Darkseid to create their own Alliance.

The headquarters of the Malum Magia lies just beyond the Conquest Force's military compound, a sky piercing Mage Tower known merely as the Malum Spire, painted black and decorated with unbreakable magical runes with a massive variety of enchantments meant to protect the tower from infiltration, sieges, assaults and spells from most mages (For example, Mages unaffiliated with the Malum Magia cannot scry on the Malum Spire or its surroundings, and they cannot scratch it with powerful spells). Four smaller towers surround the Malum Spire, with the purpose to defend the spire and house mortal servants and followers of the Divine Malum Magia. Only the divine members of the Malum Magia are allowed complete access to the Malum Spire, and others must accompany a member of the Malum Magia in order to walk around without being zapped by the spire's defense systems. At the top of the spire lies the Malum Sanctum, the official meeting room of the Malum Magia. The Malum Spire is also host to a massive library of spellbooks and research notes, and a museum of powerful magical artifacts gathered by the members of Malum Magia.

Since science and magic traditionally have a poor history together, Malum Magia has a bitter rivalry with the GUAE Mutation Lair, despite being in the same alliance. With that said, Malum Magia will not reject magic users who uses science and technology on occasions.

Because magic is one of the weaknesses of Kryptonians, the Malum Magia is GUAE's go-to group for dealing with them.
