For Trivia Wrestle Angels:

  • B-Team Sequel: 10 years after V3, both Survivor and its sequel are handled by Tryfirst because the original creators, KSS and Imagineer, went bankrupt in the late 90's.
  • Line to God: Homare, the illustrator for the redesigned foreign wrestlers and Hibiki Izayoi in Survivor 2, has a Twitter account.
  • No Export for You: Unfortunately, being an obscure management sim series, none of the games have been sold outside Japan.
  • Talking To Herself: Both Diana Rial (a collab wrestler from GURPS' Japan-only supplement comic Ring Dream) and Hikaru Ogawa in Survivor 2 are voiced by Ryōka Yuzuki.

For YMMV.Wrestle Angels:

For Wrestle Angels:

For Intercontinuity Crossover Video Games:

  • Wrestle Angels: The guest fighters of GURPS' Japan-only supplement comic Ring Dream, Sonic Cat and Diana Rial, is in a crossover that reveals that both franchises take place in the same world. This is proven by Sonic Cat's POV in the third chapter of Ai, where she's the one who inspired Yukiko to challenge Risako for the Asia Heavyweight title, thus kickstarting the plot of 1 and its remakes.

For Pop-Culture Urban Legends MMORPG:

I don't know if the last example should be in Pop-Culture Urban Legends or Urban Legend of Zelda

@ The Approaching Storm

  • Heel–Face Turn: Two mentally disabled nomads who Soregg hires to kidnap Barris end up as native guides for the Jedi after she heals their afflictions.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Councilors Volune and (after his Wizard Duel with Luminara) Tolut defend the Jedi when the rest of the council contemplates writing them off after the Jedi depart for an extended period. Volune points out that the arrival of the Jedi shows that the Republic is taking Ansion's grievances more seriously than it did in the past and convinces the others to wait a few more days before voting on secession.
  • Thrown from the Zeppelin: A group of politicians and industrialists plotting to secede from the Republic meet to discuss the plans of their Mysterious Benefactor, Corrupt Corporate Executive Shu Mai. One Senator, Nemrileo, questions whether Mai is manipulating them for her own ends. A couple of chapters later, Nemrileo is Killed Offscreen in a staged aircar accident. Later, during a second meeting of the same conspirators, industrialist Tam Uliss is dissatisfied by the amount of patience demanded by Shu Mai after the plan to take advantage of the crisis on Ansion fails, and announces his intent to launch a Renegade Splinter Faction. He suffers a Disney Villain Death in short order.
  • Wizard Duel: It isn’t an actual fight, but Tolut, an obstinate, Force-sensitive local councilor, levitates a pitcher of water (with great effort) to demonstrate that the Jedi are nothing special. Luminara then effortlessly lifts several pitchers of water significantly higher than Tolut managed to and dumps them on his head. Tolut sheepishly concedes that he was wrong about how powerful Jedi are.
  • What You Are in the Dark: When the boastful thief turned Sixth Ranger Tooqui realizes his companions have been captured or killed, he reflects that he can simplly flee back home without endangering himself. He will even have a perfectly true story to tell about the adventure he’s just had. Ultimately, he chooses to go back and see if he can help them.

@ Dirk Pitt Adventures

  • Thrown from the Zeppelin: In Kang's first scene, he summons three South Korean Corrupt politicians and requests that they propose legislation to expel the American military from Korea in the name of encouraging reunification. All three men are unhappy with this, but two acknowledge that their careers are too dependent on Kang for them to oppose him. The third man refuses to fall in line, saying that Kang's plan will cause their country to be conquered by North Korea (which is what Kang secretly wants), and he won't be a party to that. Without missing a beat, Kang has the dissenter thrown out the window in front of the other two men.

@ Scooby Doo Direct To Video F Ilm Series

  • Sixth Ranger Traitor: Manu accompanies the gang for a lot of the adventure, acting like a Nice Guy who thinks that they can help him find his kidnapped girlfriend. However, he is really the Big Bad and tries to scare the gang off before ultimately locking them in a chamber filled with lava while wearing his Tiki costume.

@ Lifeboat

  • Doomed Hurt Guy: Gus has an injured leg which becomes infected. They have to amputate it to save his life (which pains Gus, due to his love for dancing) only for Willi to murder Gus because He Knows Too Much.
  • Lonely at the Top: Late in the movie, Rittenhouse makes a comment hinting that he feels isolated in his role as an industrialist, particularly because he and his wife have never had children.

Hi fellas. It's me again. Let's have another try.

Some Fridge Brilliance and Fridge Horror for Despair Island:

  • Ezekiel is portrayed here as a religious homeschooled boy. Which is one of the many books of The Bible? The Book of Ezekiel.
  • In the "Where Are They Now?" Epilogue, it's mentioned that Justin never had children despite getting married. Due to the horrors he experienced at Camp Wawanakwa, perhaps he doesn't want to father children fearing they could get killed like his teammates? This may also apply to Noah, who has yet to be married during the epilogue.

Creating a character page for Scissor Seven

Seven

  • Accidental Kiss: Zig-Zagged, possible Invoked, with Thirteen. On one hand they kissed because he pulled her in to dodge her strike and their head happened to collide. On the other hand he was in love with her so it may have been on purpose.
  • Amnesiac Hero: He start out in the series unable to remember his past. But by the end of season 2 he remembers.
  • Bifurcated Weapon: He can split his scissors in two for multi-pronged attacks. Taken Up To 11 with his old weapon, the Thousand Demon Daggers, which is nothing but hundreds of blade fragments held in place by force of will.
  • Butt-Monkey: Most of season one mainly involved him being beaten and humiliated by anyone he fights. This is lessened in second season as he focuses on being the "island's strongest barber" rather than an assassin.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: He is a terrible hitman. But it should be noted he's only bad at killing people but when it comes to protecting people he becomes incredibly badass. Especially since he used to be the chief killer of Xuanwu before he lost his memories. Which resurface whenever he's in mortal danger.
  • Cool Sword: Before he lost his memories, he wielded the Thousand Demon Daggers, a katana which is nothing but hundreds of blade fragments held in place by force of will, which lets it cut past blocks and shield be reforming on the other side and can transform into a BFS by extending the fragments.
  • Flying Weapon: His main fighting style consist of telekinetically controlling his scissors, as well as his katana when his memories return.
  • Love at First Sight: He immediately fell for Thirteen when they first met, especially once he removed her mask.
  • Shear Menace: Downplayed Seven's choice of weapon is in fact a pair of scissors... a standard-size pair of scissors, even if they are absurdly sharp.
  • Ship Tease: With Thirteen

Thirteen

He Dachun

  • Attack Its Weakpoint: While his indestructible virgin power makes him completely indestructible he will immediately crumple if poked in the belly button, since he isn't a master yet.
  • Clothing Damage: Whenever he activates his indestructible virgin technique his shirt will completely rip apart.
  • Equippable Ally: In Seven's fight against Redtooth he used him as a weapon, thanks to his indestructible virgin technique.
  • Heroic Build: Dachun is ripped, which can be easily seen whether in battle since using his technique always destroy his shirt.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: His indestructible virgin technique basically makes him immune to anything. With only very powerful attacks, like a direct hit from a missile, able to damage him, and said missile only knocked him unconscious. Or he gets hit in the belly button.
  • Virgin Power: Implied, since his technique is called the "indestructible virgin".

  • Bling of War: Most Freeguild regiments wear flamboyant uniforms as they believe that they have the right to dress extravagantly after fighting their way up from the gutter. The regiments of Hammerhal Aqsha, for example, wear vivid blue uniforms under bright, gold armour, often accompanied by stylish feathered hats.

Hohenzollern Empire AAR

"X" Makes Anything Cool: That's what The X-Division was, although this is also a reference to The X-Files.

Evil Power Vacuum: After The Soviets fell Russia was in chaos. This was slowly filled by the new meritocratic government.

Master of All: Saint Willhelma was a Master of All, more powerful than the average Jack of All Stats.

Loony Fan: Han's a Loony Fan of Wang Jingwei and the golden age of Nationalist China as a whole.

Fascist, but Inefficient: Fascist Mexico was incompetent, even more so than the Equalist dictatorship that came after it. Confederation of Southern Alpatets while Fascist as they failed to defend against The Equalists, and Inca Empire who fell once China came in. Jerusalem is Fascist but Inefficient as the Human Development Index is at 0 and The Inequality rate is 100 as well as it being a totalitarian hellhole.

Dystopia Is Hard: Soviet Commune under The 80's were this trope. This goes for all of the other equalist dictatorships in this AAR. Nationalist China (China under Chaing's successor) and Nationalist Thailand also count as once Thailand got rid of all external enemies, fell to Equalists.

Sucksessor: Wilhelm Karl is a sucksessor, as well as Jerusalem itself to The Reich, despite the fact that Jerusalem denies being one.

Inadequate Inheritor: Wilhelm Karl's son is an inadequate and unready inheritor to The Throne.

X on a Stick: The Heretic Burnings under Jerusalem.

Zerg Rush: Zerg Rush was used by The Reich in The Commonwealth Wars against the heretics. The Angeloi and Loyalist forces did so in World War 2... At least one of the loyalist generals did by getting rid of strategy and just throwing more men at The Angeloi. Valentin Zerg rushed The Reich in World War 3.

Just like the above, this is about The Hohenzollern Empire AAR.

Blackmail: Elias and Gertrude Anhorn are masters of blackmail. Gertrude blackmails then-senator Brad Folger with evidence of his marital infidelity, forcing him to pass laws she and Elias wants. Gertrude later blackmails Senator Lothar Lorenz after manufacturing a scene that gives off the appearance of marital infidelity, forcing him to bring Elias and Thierry Baudet into a governing coalition. Elias then kills off everyone else involved in the plot to prevent them from exposing the plot Elias then blackmails a comedian who made a joke about him. In 2030, it is revealed Elias blackmailed Kaiser Wilhelm IV himself. For the last few years, he and Gertrude had gathered evidence showing that Kaiserin Ida had numerous affairs, and two of her children with Friedrich the Great were illegitimate. It just so happened that all Kaisers after the 16th century were descended from these two illegitimate children, meaning the current Kaiser is illegitimate. Fearing social chaos if the news were to get out, Wilhelm Karl is forced to obey Elias' every order, with disastrous results. The blackmail is later revealed to be based on false or incomplete information, but by the time Wilhelm Karl finds out, it is too late for him.

@ Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

@ John Tucker Must Die
  • In a nice Bait-and-Switch Comment, Kate talks about how she's gone from being someone who everyone overlooks ... to being mistaken for a narc.
  • Kate lists all of Carrie's Academic Alpha Bitch accomplishments before saying that's everything, only to add that apparently it isn't when Carrie talks about how she's started writing a children's book.
  • John being in a movie theater where the girls use his modeling pictures to make it look like he has genital herpes, which is followed by John receiving applause after giving an inspiring speech for fellow herpes sufferers.
  • Scott asks Kate to be his new lab partner after his previous one was burned in an agreement. Kate asks how he got burned, and Scott says it's a matter of interpretation, but the other guy may say it's his fault.
  • After John's spin doctor skills cause all of the other boys to start wearing thongs because he supposedly does, Beth growls that she could hit John with her car and he'd make the body cast a fashion statement.
@ Daniel Hawthorne Novels
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Doubly subverted in The Word is Murder. The villain seems like a doting Family Man, but, during his Motive Rant, claims to feel no true affection for his wife and children. However, barely a sentence later, he says that he'll do anything he can to protect his eldest son from experiencing the same kind of disillusionment and heartbreak that he experienced when he tried to be an actor.
  • "Friends" Rent Control: Hawthorne (a Private Investigator who was fired from the police force before qualifying for a pension and has an ex-wife and son to support) lives in a surprisingly expensive flat. At the end of the first book, he explains that his half-brother is an estate agent who hires him to stay at unoccupied luxury flats as a caretaker.
  • Troubled Sympathetic Bigot: Anthony speculates that Hawthorne's homophobia and All Gays Are Pedophiles suspicions stem from an incident where he investigated a nasty pedophile ring while he was still a cop.
@ The Expanse (TV): The Belt
  • Zero-G Spot: Ade is introduced having sex with Holden while floating several feet above their bed due to their ship's gravity.
@ Dortmunder @ G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero
  • The grief and fear the Joes feel when several of their family members are kidnapped in "Captives of Cobra" (and the fear and confusion of some of those family members) is powerful. Notable moments include Shipwreck's Big "NO!" when he sees his pre-teen nephew in a Cobra uniform, Mr. Breckenridge's Big "NO!" when his teenage daughter is dragged to the brainwashing chamber, and Barbecue momentarily thinking that his father has died in a fire.

Hi fellas. It's me again. Let's have another try.

Two tropes for Total Drama Screaming Gophers:

  • Unexplained Recovery:
    • In the finale of World Tour, Heather is last seen about to be hit by a massive flaming boulder as she and the other contestants swim away from the Hawaiian island whose volcano has erupted, but the screen turns to static before she is hit. However, her appearance in the premiere of Revenge of the Island confirms she survived.
    • In her guest appearance in Revenge of the Island, Heather tries to escape aboard Chris' blimp with that season's prize money to make up for her loss at the end of World Tour, so Chris sends all the remaining contestants to recover the prize. At the end, the blimp crashes onto the sea and Heather apparently remains inside the aircraft. However, her return in All-Stars also confirms she survived the crash.
  • Uncertain Doom: At the end of All-Stars, after Camp Wawanakwa sinks, Heather, alongside Alejandro, swims away to escape from Fang, but is never seen again afterwards due to no more seasons featuring members of the original cast were produced.

  • Dying Declaration of Love: In Creed's final moments after being shot in the heart by Jesse, he confesses his love to Homura and wished to walk the streets with her in Oedo. However, he wasn't able to finish his last sentence and dies from his fatal wounds.
  • Killed Off for Real: Creeds gets shot in the heart by Jesse.
  • Never My Fault: After Jesse accidentally shot Creed in the heart, he refuses to take responsible for killing him and thinks Creed made him do it.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: The Oasis members, Lizarre along with Furena, were tragically killed by the mechanical sea serpent during the war against the Nero Empire. They only appears a few chapters and nothing much about their backstories.

Edens Zero Tearjerker

  • In the previous arcs, Shiki vows to never take a life of humans and robots since life is previous and it shouldn't be taken away. At the end of Chapter 160 where Shiki declares those lights (living beings) won't go away without Shura around. Due to the deaths of all robots and Witch's tortured caused by Shura, filled with grief and anger, Shiki is out for blood and the first person he wants to kill is Shura instead of defeating him like the enemies he encountered. He believes killing him will end the war and saves many lives.

Pokémon: Roses of the Garden

Arceus

The Alpha Pokémon and the one who created the whole universe. It's because of his decision that Alma would be raised by the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.

  • God: He created the whole universe by himself and is called the Alpha Pokémon. According to the other Pokémon, Arceus' words are law regardless of how any of them feel about it.
  • Gold and White Are Divine: Arceus is mostly white with some gold on him and is the most powerful Pokémon in the world and the leader of the Legendary and Mythical Pokémon.
  • The Patriarch: He seems to be the one in charge of the family, which makes sense since Arceus is the oldest being in the world.
  • Top God: He's the Alpha Pokémon, and shows to make that his words are law by everyone.
