Been prepping for this inevitable suggestion. Even with it being pretty near unanimously hated by viewers 59% from Rotten Tomatoes critics is WAY too high. Also, it literally just came out.
Edited by AlmightyKingPrawn She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkEverybody hating on it is mostly focusing on the writing and concepts. The animation and voice work is apparenly mostly pretty competent, and others have said it gets less awful past episode one. I think it's just a target for hatred for the sake of it right now, bu it's not SBIH compared to something like Santa Inc which got bad critical reviews and also doesn't have great visuals.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. And maybe we should way until a month after the first season ends before we could judge if Velma is worthy of being SBIH or not.
Though, I suspect the show will get worse before it gets better.
Okay, it's been over a month since Season 1 ended, and I think you're right on the money, Ivanov Troping 97. Haven't really seen any positive reviews for Velma afterward. While some people do speak on some positives the show has, they aren't anywhere near enough for them to help save the show from this list. At the very least, the ads from before its release felt more like foreshadowing of what was to come from the show itself.
Yeah. Pretty much no one likes Velma. I think we can add it here.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectMight want to wait until after Season 2 to avoid any "It might get better" pushback.
Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.Alright then. But if it gets cancelled or the second season gets just as bad if not worse ratings, I think we can safely put it here.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI've heard that Grey DeLisle, the recurring voice of Daphne Blake since What's New, Scooby Doo?, bashed the Velma show, saying that it's a bastardization of a beloved classic cartoon and wouldn't have worked as a standalone adult animated series.
You know you screwed up badly when even the people involved with other Scooby-Doo adaptations criticize your adaptation of the show, along with the audience.
So yeah, we're getting a second season (God, help us) but it's not announced when it's coming out yet.
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectThe writing is pretty awful, but the animation and art is pretty solid and it seems like Myth Arc is somewhat competently handled. That's probably enough to keep it off this list.
^ Santa Inc. had stop motion animation (and pretty dang good stop motion animation too) so Awesome Art isn't a disqualifying factor to be on the list.
Edited by AudioSpeaks2 Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectSo would we have to wait until the second season came out and wrapped up before adding it here?
^ Yup
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectI hate how Scooby-Doo! and the Mystery Pups, Coyote vs. Acme, Scoob! Holiday Haunt, and Scooby-Doo! and the Haunted High Rise all got cancelled yet Velma is getting a second season.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fwzVjsu9XvM Just look at how badly animated it is.
Hide / Show RepliesBad animation isn't enough to qualify for this. Plenty of well-regarded shows have poor animation.
Otherwise, it doesn't really look like it qualifies to me? The writing is boring but it doesn't seem to actively be fucking up.
Edited by mariofan1000I'd like to suggest the animated adaptation of Good Times for this page. It only just released but the early reactions have been pretty universally negative. Of course, it's too soon to add to the page still.
Hide / Show RepliesEspecially considering the 11% Rotten Tomatoes critic score, a 3.8 on IM Db, a ton of negative videos and articles about it with people finding very little redeeming about it, and hell even the families of Eric Monte and Mike Evans hated this reboot, it's worth keeping an eye on until we can add it on May 13th.
Edited by TrailerTrashBean7I know that it just debuted not too many days ago, but I would like to suggest Chip Chilla as a future consideration for this list.
Basically, it's a right-wing ripoff of Bluey that's a part of the Daily Wire's new Bentkey streaming service.
Hide / Show RepliesBeing a ripoff and being right-wing are not alone to make a work horrible. We would need more info. Let the dust settle as it might just be a hot button controversy.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I think it's worth looking into at least, its IMDB rating is pretty abysmal and I've heard nothing but bad things about it even putting political bias aside (most notably that it's just a very boring show that stretches the Adults Are Useless trope so far that it undermines its own foundation of patriarchy and family values). And for what it's worth, the show isn't even overtly right-wing; like all Bentkey material, it tries to present itself as "apolitical" to market to a wider demographic while still not straying from its own conservative values, unlike, say, Leo & Layla which is overt propaganda. Overall, it seems to have attractive a lot of ire from both left-wing reviewers and apolitical cartoon or Bluey focused content creators.
Edited by 2HeadedMoonOctopusProbably not...
I don't think it's a question of when, but if Primos will get to air.
^I doubt it
Art Museum Curator and frequent helper of the Web Original deprecation projectAm I the only one that believes that several entries on this page (as well as several entries on the Asian Animation, Animated Films and Anime and Manga pages) need to be re-written? Those entires are examples of the silliness, snobbery, whining and nitpicking that is sadly normy in the animation community.
From complaining about cheapness (which is not bad if you make good or even great of it), subjective things like annoyance, use of vague words like "unlikable" (rather than using objective things more, how else could you convince people to avoid them, as several entries suggest?) and complaining about Cliche Storm and In Name Only (neither of which are inherently bad), to critisizing small things like a bad texture (Boys of Valor), wrong lip usage (that was fixed later anyway) and one unintentionally racist line (both Newborn Cuties), critisizing the same music from a game being used in a animation adaptation (so?), irrelevant things like the back of the tape giving away a movie's ending (Thunder Prince) and uses comparisons where they are irrelevant (The Adventures of Kid Danger).
Seriously, these pages need a serious overhaul to help this wiki and perhaps the animation community by teaching them some lessons. What do you people think?
Cut this upon discussion in the forum thread:
- In the late 1980s and early 1990s a TV cartoon series aired on VTM based on the popular comic strip Suske en Wiske. The design of the characters looked okay and resembled the comic strip... but the cartoon was so cheaply made that almost every scene was Stock Footage. For instance, whenever a specific character was walking from one point to another, they always played the same clip. The animators also animated only one expression of a certain emotion for each main cast member. If, for instance, a specific character became angry, it was always the same scene without any variation. As one can imagine, watching these cartoons can become rather tedious after a while, especially since they follow the stories of the comic book albums almost frame-by-frame in extremely slow pacing.
This just says that the animation was ultra-cheap and the pacing very slow. There is no mention of the script or jokes being bad, and the entry even admit that the character designs are okay.
Feel free to re-add if you can show that the series was bad in every respect, as well as having an overwhelmingly negative reception.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdDoes "The Prince" qualify for now? LS Mark has given it a very scathing review, and reviews are 5.5 on IMDB, which I think doesn't represent what the majority thinks of it.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't think so. Things can't be added because of a review by a Caustic Critic alone, and while many people certainly hate this show I've noticed a vocal minority on Instagram that begs HBO for a season 2.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkIn any case, isn't 5.5/10 on IMDB considered too high for a list like this
A score like that certainly didn't stop the Ren and Stimpy: Adult Party Cartoon.

The Prince has been cancelled after one season, so...
Edited by IvanovTroping97I have some weird questions in regards to this thing called "The Red Ape Family". This animated... thing (not sure if it's going to be a series proper or not) was only released on the Internet, and due to this crazy NFT thing going around that I'm still not fully understanding of even after many months have passed, I know the currently sole episode released so far for it gained $1.8 million from its episode alone due to that NFT thing. The weird thing about it is it feels like it's a joke, but it also gained some serious, solid ground due to the rapper 2 Chainz being involved with it, despite the characters for "The Red Ape Family" pretty much being traced re-drawings of various, common NFT archetypes in the first place. Not to mention it lays claim to it being "The First NFT Show" despite it arguably not being the first due to Mila Kunis creating a NFT show herself called "Stoner Cats" (which was announced before "The Red Ape Family", but probably wasn't released first online). As such, I have to ask would "The Red Ape Family" qualify for a place here if it gained more episodes that were of similar quality as the first episode was? If it doesn't get another episode, what other section would help qualify it for a So Bad, It's Horrible placement? And finally, due to the weird notion of NF Ts in general, I need to ask this: is it even something we'd consider a financial failure if it managed to gain $1.8 million in something like cryptocurrency? I feel I need to ask these questions right here and now before anything drastic happens.
Hide / Show RepliesI've seen a lot of weird cryptobros on Twitter rather violently attack people who criticise it, even though everyone who isn't into crypto absolutely hates it. So it was successful with its target audience.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkI also think it's a web animation, not a televised/streamed show, so it wouldn't count under how the wiki defines the "Western Animation" namespace.
We previously had NFTs listed on one of the Horrible pages but it was quickly removed because of its strong fanbase and because the bubble hasn't popped (yet).
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Understandable points there. Still, it is fair to question when a point is clear for a web animated series to potentially count if it starts out bad and doesn't really improve upon itself. Not to mention if it should qualify in a grouping like Western Animation or something else altogether.
I would like to add, however, that NFT bros have very low standards if they consider it to be "good". And I would personally say that "rather violently attack people who criticise it" is not helping the case against inclusion IMO. Just as a work has to fail to appeal to a niche to qualify, I think a work should also qualify if the work isn't just bad on its own merits, but those who are fans of it are that level of psychotic.
^ First off, we should probably not call fans of anything "psychotic," even though I do not like NFT bros much at all. Second, that doesn't address the issue of it being web animation (and, for that matter, being too new to list).
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe. On the matter of it being well received by its target audience. The I believe that the only reason it was has nothing to do with its quality, but rather with its monetary value. The NFT bros don't care that it's shit, they only care that it's valuable. That's all they care about it for them to consider it good at all. Not because of any artistic quality, but because it's expensive and can sell at all for the sake of selling.
Welp, it's apparently going to air more episodes on Apple TV and Amazon Prime. So I guess that's one problem solved now...
Only after we see how the streamed episodes are received. If they still suck, then we can add it after a month of premiering.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I got a show that was released this year on HBO Max that I think could count for this list, with it representing things that are wrong with adult animated comedies real well. Santa Inc. looks to qualify not just for its poor rating (currently a 1.4 rating on IMDB and a 4% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes), but with jokes that go nowhere worthwhile or are surface level, bargain bin quality in terms of material, unlikeable characters that makes the "antagonist" of Santa Claus and the set-up for it being completely unjustified (Santa logically explaining why Candy wasn't the best fit for replacing Santa Claus in the end and Candy pretty much saying fuck him for the logical alternative of having her work best behind the scenes as the main worker while the actual replacement would be the new face when his time comes). I think we can say that the rating is justified, even in spite of the creators claiming "white supremacists" dislike the show (which may mention the Rule Of Cautious Editing Judgment, but otherwise goes to show how awful it is in spite of such claims at hand). Not only that, but a ton of dislikes were on its Red Band trailer before YouTube removed the dislike feature showing up for very stupid reasons, with plenty of videos talking about how faulty Santa Inc. is from people like Steve Reviews, Just Stop, Nerdrotic, ShortFatOtaku, and The Critical Drinker, with It'sAGundam going over all the details regarding Santa Inc.'s situation and YourMovieSucks getting the gist of things by watching its Red Band trailer alone.
Hide / Show RepliesAs stated on the commented-out page note, it can't be added until January 2 due to No Recent Examples, Please!. However, it does seem likely that it'll qualify even without the review bombing issues.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Does the Ren & Stimpy "Adult Party Cartoon" really qualify?
I do hate the show, but a 5.5/10 on IMDb seems pretty high for this list. Not to mention that when you look at the episode list, four of them (the two parts of "Fire Dogs II", "Altruists", and "Naked Beach Frenzy") actually go above a 6/10.
He/they | Mostly here on my free days Hide / Show RepliesProbably "reverse review-bombed" by die-hard John K fanatics. Considering John K's reputation this day and age, I think it should stay.
I've rarely seen people strongly defend it, so IDK if it's at the level of review bombing. I think they'll defend certain episodes, though. I think Wikipedia also has mixed reviews in the reception so it is unclear to me if it truly counts, even though it blew when it aired on TV.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Would Hell Den qualify? It's meant to be a MST 3 K-esque show where the characters watch old-timey cartoons, but it is completely devoid of any charm. Most of the "animation" is just looking at footage of said old-timey cartoons(most of which is most likely public domain anyway) superimposed over a static image of a tv screen. Not that you'd want to watch the original animation the show offers, due to the ugly character designs and fragrant overuse of stock footage. The writing is no better, with most of the jokes being obnoxious or downright insulting.
Hide / Show RepliesIt has a 5.3/10 on IMDb, which is low but still too high for this list.
However, only 33 people rated it so the law of large numbers isn't really in effect yet.
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysWould Fleabag Monkeyface qualify?
Here's why I'm proposing it:
- 1.2/10 on IMDb
- Was not picked up for a second season
- Overflows with disgusting Toilet Humour
- Poor CGI animation
I would presume so, though only if the score was natural and not review bombed down as such. Though considering the animation quality at hand also, I would think it earned its case there.
May want to take a look at the show Santa Inc. The show somehow managed to become the lowest rated show on IMBD within days of debuting. While a lot of the reviews are apparently review-bombing, it seems like nobody wants to defend the show, not even to give it a neutral review. I haven't seen it myself as I don't have the streaming service it is on, but apparently it is a Christmas show that is trying to be feminist propaganda but ends up coming off as racist against both white and black people, and is too cynical to be enjoyable as a Christmas story.
Edit: upon further research I have found that the problems with the show are more complex than that. Aside from the racial offenses and the political issues with the show's premise, people are also complaining about the characters being unlikable and the show's raunchy humor being tasteless.
Edited by legendaryweredragon Hide / Show RepliesIf most of the reviews are politically charged review bombs, it may be hard to find legit criticism. Personally, the stop motion looks good enough for me to disqualify it, even if the writing is awful.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkI don't know if it's true or not but I've heard at least one person say that professional critics are refusing to review it because the creators of the show keep labeling people who criticize them as white supremacists and other awful things so since they can't say anything good about the show they are just saying nothing at all.
Edited by legendaryweredragonIt only came out on December 2, right? In that case, it's too early to add anyway, as No Recent Examples, Please! bars Horrible entries added less than a month after release.
It's also not our place to speculate about why critics aren't leaving bad reviews — though I hesitate to believe your claim, as Variety gave a negative review and I believe they're a pretty mainstream, non-Nazi source. The criticism seems to be lauded at audience reviews, which indeed may muddy our ability to scope out legit audience criticism.
So basically, it might count, but we need to wait several weeks for the dust to settle so we can shove aside all the weird Nazi backlash and see what the general consensus is.
Edited by mightymewtron I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.Does High Guardian Spice count? Even discounting all the drama surrounding it's announcement trailer and whatever's going on at Crunchyroll, the show itself has been critically lambasted and currently holds a score of 1.2 on IMDB...
Edited by Tyranogre Hide / Show RepliesWe literally have discussed in the forums multiple times that it doesn't qualify as the Imdb score is review bombed and Twitter shows overall mixed reception. Trailer still qualifies, but definitely not the show itself.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkIt only has a 1.2 because angry weebs review-bombed it. Regular non-obsessive viewers seem to just be indifferent.
One cleanup thread later...Apparently ThunderCats Roar has a 2.1 on IMDB, and most other reviews of the show aren't much better, which, I believe, makes it eligible for this page. Should I add it?
Hide / Show RepliesThunder Cats Roar does have some fans, so it doesn't count. If anything it's just So Okay, It's Average.
It only has that score because it's most likely been review-bombed by asshurt nostalgia-blinded babies who think threatening to shoot up schools is funny and unironically parrot slanderous buzzwords created by a washed-up pedophile. The only "horrible" thing about Roar is its hatedom.
One cleanup thread later...Okay, I get you guys playing devils advocate, but you seem to have a misunderstanding of the rules for entry onto this page. So I'm gonna go through them real quick.
Rules (Taken from the Main Page)
1. The work as a whole is truly terrible by the standard of the medium involved, with a low quality in all aspects of work creation: storytelling, drawing, writing, and so on. —- If you look at actual reviews and not just review scores, there are mostly negative reviews of the series that are not just about "nostalgia blinded babies". The common points of those legit reviews are "bad animation, bad art, unfunny humor, disrespectful attitude towards the original". These are major sources of issues that definitely would qualify as horrible outside of the last one, which can be more subjective despite it being a recurring theme in the reviews.
2. The work has a small audience, and if it's produced for profit it has poor sales. — MEANING that it isn't disqualified just because it has fans. It can have fans and still qualify as this trope. And by any objective standpoint, clearly that fanbase was not strong enough to last them a season, as the series was cancelled after all.
3. The work has been panned by multiple critics for its low quality. The work's flaws may be parodied by a number of other works, and in some cases the work may even become a pop culture-level Snark Bait. — Again, see above point. It's not just about people who are just hating to be hated, there are legit reviews of the series out there. What seems to be more of a consistent issue isn't the hatedom, but a majority of journalists who hate the fans who hate the show and will not listen to what they have to say. Something I thoroughly expect here because of the wording of those fans. The fact that many spend more time talking about fans than the show itself is a concerning idea.
And I'm gonna make it clear, I'm not and have never been a fan of Thundercats of any incarnation, so I have no nostalgic feelings for it, but the facts are facts. This show was bad, didn't catch on with its target audience or older fans and has many aspects to it that are legitimately considered bad.
It is more than qualified for an entry on this trope. And if anything, the idea that "it has fans, so it's not eligible" needs to end because that's not what the rules say, as I just quoted. And in the future, let us be civil instead of resorting to the same buzzwords. Just pointing out that people use those buzzwords, then use similar buswords like asshurt or extreme hyperbole does not make you look any better.
Edited by OmegaNemesis13I hadn't been on this page on a while. Since it's qualified by definition of the trope, I'll dig up the old entry I made and put it back in with a few revisions.
Does Allen Gregory actually qualify?
Don’t get me wrong, I also loathe the show, but I’m seeing more than a few positive reviews of the series on IMDb, some of which are being rated as more helpful than many of the negative reviews.
Is it more divisive than truly horrible?
He/they | Mostly here on my free days Hide / Show RepliesI looked around and out of 63 reviews, 27 of them gave the show an 8/10 or above (and 18 of these positive reviews were a perfect 10/10).
Edited by StewieGriffin34 He/they | Mostly here on my free daysWould Magical Girl Friendship Squad qualify for inclusion?
Hide / Show RepliesI was about to suggest this as well. So far I have seen nothing positive being said about the show. The art is mediocre at best, but the real issue is that the show flaunts how "progressive" it is while proceeding to take mean-spirited, unsubtle potshots at anyone the creators don't like. For example, one scene involves a group of three straw losers wearing shirts labeled "GAMERGATE" * , "PEPE"(the frog) * , and "ANIME" * . The Big Bad is just as unsubtle, being a blatant amalgation of Pepe(again) and Donald Trump * .
EDIT: The labelnotes got ruined by the discussion format. but hopefully everything should still make sense.
Edited by RadayamIt was positively reviewed by professional critics, so it doesn't really count.
Can we add My Life Me? I have not seen anyone who likes the show.
"Detecting trace amounts of mental activity. Possibly a dead weasel or a cartoon viewer" Hide / Show RepliesI second this!!! It's very poorly animated, awful voice acting, insipid plots etc.
Third. Absolutely nothing about the show works at all.

He/they | Mostly here on my free days7.8/10 IMDB, 97% Tomatometer. I can't assume you have a political motive for suggesting it (despite suspecting you do), but given the time you suggested Batwoman, that possibility can't be completely dismissed.
Edited by nm3youtubeActually, I like both shows quite a lot. I don't expect you to believe and just assume I'm trying to cover my ass, but I'm not. I'm just kinda trolling to preemptively shut down any real jackoffs that might try to suggest those shows get on here.
I'm on the fence. While critics despise it, it has a 5.4 on IMDB (more average than anything) and I saw praise on Twitter from either Phil Lord or Chris Miller, maybe both. I brought this to the SBIH cleanup thread in the forums, feel free to join me as we await the consensus.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkThere exists, apparently, an obscure series of cartoons by Butch Hartman. I saw them and I'm pretty sure they're bad enough to land here. You can't even give them the "it's a pilot" excuse, because there are several pilots both on the Internet and by major companies that are leaps and bounds better. Here's a draft:
"Many of Butch Hartman's shows are regarded as classics, some examples being Danny Phantom and The Fairly OddParents!note . Proudly not among those ranks, however, is The Noog Network, a series of shorts quite obviously meant to be pilots or proof-of-concepts for show pitches. All of them take Talking To Himself to their logical extreme, for all characters save for two are voiced by Butch, pitch-shifted or otherwise. The voice acting itself isn't that great either, ranging from okay to phoned-in. The art and animation, while not eye-searingly bad, is still pretty shoddy; movement is consistently choppy, backgrounds and setpieces are visually sterile, and lazy tricks such as enlarging or shrinking models or mouths at an attempt at lipsyncing or to give the illusion of movement (the outro is quite literally just the intro's animation, but reversed. Of note is the titular Noog at the beginning of each short; it's painfully obvious the blasted thing is merely being dragged around, with only a few frames of looped animation on its mouth. The humor and stories are no better, with the Bug Girl short being a prime example; some kids make a few awful bug puns towards the titular character, she nonchalantly eats them by turning into a bug (the alleged main premise of the show,) and then walks off like nothing happened. What's especially interesting about these is that none other than Jeremy Chinshue, better known as TerminalMontage, is credited on four out of seven of these, and it shows. The advertisment and episode outro attempt to copy his signature shitpost/meme-esque brand of humor, but in such a way that misses the point of what makes the Something About shorts so popular; the former is just a Hurricane of Noog Puns and the latter is a limp-dicked attempt at random humor involving candy going extinct. Blend all of this together and there's no wonder these pilots were doomed to languish in obscurity, much less metamorphose into a full show. Thankfully, the shorts' Spiritual Successor The Garden was significantly better, even if it costs $130 to watch and suffers from some of the same animation issues. Take a look-see at these cartoons here, if you wish."
So would these fall under this category? Would I need to flesh out or rewrite this? Or would it fall under something different, or simply not be So Bad It's Horrible?
Hide / Show RepliesNot horrible, hard as it is to believe with his looney antics, Butch still has a fanbase, and most Noog Network shots have more likes than dislikes on youtube.

Hide / Show RepliesI think that show would go into Love It or Hate It considering there is also a hatedom for that show.
Edited by 69.172.221.8I really don't think this entry belongs here:
- King Star King: Horrible animation, a nonsensical plot, constant use of Gorn (Superjail! is guilty of this too, but at least it's somewhat humorous), treating its viewers as though they're morons, and just...plain ugly visuals. All this leads to one viewing and one viewing only on Adult Swim, with no promos to show it even existed. If you really want to take a look for yourselves, here's the (thankfully dropped) pilot.
Should Legends of Chamberlain Heights be added? I cannot think of anyone who legitimately likes that show.
Hide / Show RepliesShould Adult Party Cartoon really be on here? I know it's one of the most infamous revivals of all time, but there are some people who like it or at least don't outright hate it. In addition, "Ren Seeks Help" was actually somewhat well-regarded until Mr. Enter reviewed it.
One cleanup thread later... Hide / Show RepliesI took this to the SBIH cleanup thread when it was first added, and general consensus is that it qualifies.

Your Resident Grumpy Old YoungsterYeah. I honestly think it's only on here for the sake of giving John K. his own section. He's a scumbag who's well past his prime, I won't argue that, but I feel that can be noted within the write-up for Cans Without Labels.

Check out my current fanfiction project.Shall we add The Problem Solverz to the list. Evidence in favor of argument.
- Has a 2.4/10 rating on IMDB
- Has seizure-inducing visuals in addition to having one of the worst cases of the Uncanny Valley
- Bad voice acting
- Poor design
- To an extent, the main characters are in the Disgraces for the above mentioned
- The Problem Solverz tried to be the next Sym-Bionic Titan, only for it to fail thanks to a combination of seizure-inducing visuals, having ugly character designs that go onto being Nightmare Fuel, terrible voice acting, and having a poor design choice. Watch The Mysterious Mr. Enter tear it down and contract myopia and go blind as a result.
No.

Edited by TheEditorHatred for Uwe Boll is overdone yet that is in Tpthe films page
Awful animation Awful voice acting Unfunny dialogue and plots Weirdly, it's too normal to even be considered avant garde, the one fandom that may have liked the show. The plots are fairly standard and The style is too gaudy to even appreciate the times the animation is decent.
I agree with Larry Larry and don't see why "it's been overdone" is a good reason against adding the show to the list. If a show is infamous and universally disliked, it belongs on the list.
Wikipedia has an article on the show. The Broadcast and reception section lists some reviews that criticize various aspects of the show, not just the animation. However, it also suggests that the show (not just the art style) does appeal to a niche, which disqualifies it.
Well, the show failed to attract its target audience. Most of the child reviews on Common Sense Media give it one star. There are five reviews that give it higher, two of which are two-star. Would that still let it qualify?
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysI agree that it deserves to be here. Even if you look past the animation and voice acting, the stories and characters are also abysmal.
Check out my current fanfiction project.Could "You Tube Copyright School" be eligible for the list?, like West Wing Story, I'm pretty sure it counts as a standalone short.
Hide / Show RepliesNope. Web Originals are banned from the Horrible pages.
He/they | Mostly here on my free daysBut we have Cans Without Labels, West Wing Story and Mule Mom's Story. Are of those are Web Originals.
AShould Kung Fu Dino Posse be removed? Most people on IMDb seem to see it more as So Bad, It's Good and its ratings both there and TV.com seem to indicate So Okay, It's Average.
He/they | Mostly here on my free days Hide / Show RepliesCut.
She/her. Profile pic is by Richard Michael Gomez @StarmansArt. Please watch Fraggle Rock: Back to the Rock. https://youtu.be/Vm92JNgPbqkIs Cans Without Labels eligible for the list? Ignoring John K and his infamy, the short is considered bad due for its bare bones plot, low-grade CGI, poor camera work, and bad attempts at humour.
Hide / Show RepliesLooks like it qualifies. Definitely needs mention of how friggen long it took to be made.
SP00PY month!Found an upload with around 50 likes and 300 dislikes. One of the worst ratios I've ever seen. Add 'er.
Edited by TheAlmightyKingPrawn SP00PY month!Would The Brothers Grunt count? - 3.2/10 on IMDb - Got poor reviews from professional critics - Disgusting artstyle - Filled to the brim with Nausea Fuel
He/they | Mostly here on my free days Hide / Show RepliesI'd say no. It seems to have fans that are trying to get the show on DVD.
SP00PY month! Can we put The Adventures of Kid Danger on this page?
Edited by SpaceProtagonist Hello, I'm the American Cinema Critic, I remember because the majors don't. Hide / Show RepliesI guess it could be here. I haven't seen a single person who likes the show.
Edited by StewieGriffin34 He/they | Mostly here on my free daysThere's an ongoing animated series on Mediaset called "Adrian" which is written by none other than Adriano Celentano.
Should I write its entry after the final episode airs?
I know Web Original works have been banned, but do you think we could put Dreams Come True: A Mule Mom's Story on here? Everyone who's seen it considers it Snark Bait, and Bobsheaux posted a review of it just this morning.
Now that i Think about it.... would the Pinky And The Brain retool Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain count? The show was so bad, the concept was abandoned after 5 episodes. Virtually NOBODY seems to like this show at all. No DV Ds exist of the show at all. I personally argue that it fits the criteria to be put here.
Hide / Show RepliesThat...really depends on whether we should count it as part of the old show, or consider it a separate entity (most view it as the latter). All I can say is to look to others for advice.
I want to add it on the sole criteria that even the freaking THEME SONG states how awful an idea it was ("So Pinky and the Brain/They have a new domain/It's what the network wants/Why bother to complain?"). Unfortunately, according to Mr. Enter, it also had won several awards. Why? I don't know. But if this is true, then I suppose it doesn't count.
Should Mirthworms be removed? There's only one review (from The Island of Misfit Christmas Specials), and RebelTaxi seemed to enjoy it.
Can The Powerpuff Girls (2016) go here? It seems to be universally reviled and Cartoon Network itself is trying to air it as little as possible.
Hide / Show RepliesIt got So Okay, It's Average critical reviews, has at least some fans, and, at least to me, isn't that bad. It is mostly just mediocre. Plus, it got nominated for an Emmy, which is an instant disqualification.
Why was Wacky World of Tex Avery removed? I tried watching a few episodes, it was borderline painful! Just because it may have gotten some form of cult following in Germany?
My sister showed my mom and I "Pacific Heat" and I think it deserves a spot here—it's a shameless rip-off of Archer with humor that isn't funny, characters who aren't likable and the first episode alone has a plot that's impossible to follow. The "humor" that the show offers tends to either consist of people talking over each other or has racism, sexism or some combination thereof as the punchline. The characters are not even one-dimensional and when they do show depth it's not possible to even like any of them. Pretty much all reviews of it note it as a terribly unfunny rip-off of Archer.
Hide / Show RepliesI'd agree with you, but I've seen enough people who think it's funny, (and some that get bizarrely enthusiastic about defending it) that I don't feel we should put it here.
Can we add Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back? It got a 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D Hide / Show RepliesWait, that crap got a sequel? It's probably bad enough if it's at least half a year old and has 0% on Rotten Tomatoes. Go ahead.
It belongs in the subpage for Animated Films if it's that bad.
Edited by MattBen789After re-watching the "Felix the Cat" movie, I've considered putting it on this list. Any objections? I know this is treading thin ice since the Nostalgia Critic reviewed it not too long ago.
The fantasy RPG videos that play in my head are amazing. Hide / Show RepliesI dunno...I mean, yeah it's pretty low-par on today's standards, but I found it entertaining when I first saw it as a kid. This may just be nostalgia talking, though.
Edited by SomeNewGuy Shamelessly plugging my comics, Oh yes.I have an objection: it's a movie, so if it's truly So Bad Its Horrible, it should at least go in the subpage for Animated Films instead.
Edited by MattBen789I know it's obscure and it's hard to find any reviews that aren't from a Caustic Critic but does "Madballs Gross Jokes" count? It suffers from things like really bad Limited Animation, attempted Vulgar Humor that's neither funny nor Nausea Fuel, unlikable characters, Viewers Are Morons, and being a variety show. It's been thrashed by Mr. Enter and Tooncrap. What do you think
Hide / Show RepliesI say it counts.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Can someone please come up with an entry, I've been waiting months and it probably counts.
Madballs Gross Jokes suffers from things like really bad Limited Animation, attempted Vulgar Humor that's neither funny nor Nausea Fuel, unlikable characters, Viewers Are Morons, and being a variety show. It's been thrashed by Mr. Enter and Tooncrap.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanIt already has an entry, and it deserves that entry. I could barely sit through that ugly, artificial-feeling, uninspired, contrived snooze fest—and I almost (key word is "almost") enjoyed Full English!
Out of curiosity, why was Da Nut Shack removed from this page? It seemed like it fit all the criteria and then some. But maybe I'm remembering wrong?
Hide / Show RepliesIt's on the Eastern Animation page now.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe page was apparently cut later. A long time ago apparently.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanYou must be looking for the subpage for Asian Animation
...but The Nutshack isn't there...
Edited by MattBen789Is Hoodinked Too (2) eligible? I was going to add it myself, but i want to discuss here it first. it bombed at the box office, critics hated it, and it bombed on DVD. if allowed to add it, i will provice in depth reasons for it being horrible, such as a incredible cliched lame plot, and non existent characters, and of course lame jokes.
Hide / Show RepliesI never saw the film, but the Box Office failing part may have had something to do with the lack of advertising, meaning barely anyone knew it even existed. I may be wrong, though, but this is one of the few times I've even heard of it going to DVD, let alone theaters.
Edited by SamMaxActually I remember the ads so there wasn't a lack of advertising but I haven't seen it since it looked lame. It did go to theaters. Just wanted to inform Sam Max.
Thank you, idisagree. I just didn't remember that many ads at all. Now that I think about it, perhaps I wasn't paying attention.
Back on topic, if it doesn't qualify here, I guess it at least qualifies for Sequelitis. I'll be right back after I see the reactions to be certain.
Edited by SamMaxI'm back! Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic seem to have low scores for both users and critics. However, it also has a 3 and a half Star Average, though I was uncertain of the time I had to do this, so I didn't read all of them, but it seem their kids enjoyed it while the parents were either mildly amused or angered at how bad it got Sequelitis. What do you think about may findings?
Edited by SamMaxIf we're going to keep Daddy Day Camp in Film, we may as well add HT here.
Edited by Spinosegnosaurus77 Peace is the only battle worth waging. No! That sounds like more non-critic viewers liked it than not!
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyHow do you figure? It has very low user scores, as mentioned above.
Peace is the only battle worth waging.I think it qualifiers, seeing as no one liked it. that and it bombed in every possible way. If you choose to put it on, here's what i think it should say
"Hoodwinked Too: Hood Vs Evil. It takes Sequulitis to a whole new level. While the first film was original and funny, this movie is ...not. The story is practicality made of cliches, the characters are entirely one note, and the jokes are either pointless references to older movies, or Running Gags that were not even funny the first time. The animation is also really bad, and even worst than the first movie. The fact that was released in ''theaters' is baffling."
if you think this needs works, than go ahead, give me input
A good chunk of the amazon.com reviewers don't find it the worst. Doesn't that count for something of a fanbase, or at least a disqualification from this list?
And I apologize for the earlier post. Must not have been awake that day for it to have poor grammar. Amazon is also where the 3 1/2 average comes from. My apologies for not clarifying that earlier as well.
i don't know, quite a few SBIH films have their "fans" and this one doesn't have enough, i think the low RT (11 percent!) and IMDB scores make it more than qualified
it's also worthy of note that the film's co-wroter Cory edwards expressed disappointment with the final film,
If it's truly So Bad Its Horrible, then at least put it in the proper page, alright? I'm not trying to defend it; this page is just for shows, as opposed to movies.
Does Coconut Fred really qualify as horrible? The only reason it seems to be so hated is because it's a Sponge Bob ripoff, and it seems to be considered simply mediocre otherwise. It also says it was nominated for two Emmys, so wouldn't that disqualify it?
One cleanup thread later... Hide / Show RepliesI actually kind of enjoyed Coconut Fred's Fruit Salad Island for its element of surprise, which really attracted my curiosity and suspense, and as The Mysterious Mr. Enter acknowledges, the show has some energy to it.
Teen Titans Go. Though I doubt I need to explain, I will anyways
1) Shit Characters: All of them are the same character with a minor quirk, 2) Shit Comedy: I've hardly, if ever, laughed at this show. 3) Shit Creators: These guys are like angsty teenagers. They act like they don't care about their faults, and then complain that people complain about them.
Memes are a halfway decent way to mask the pain. Hide / Show RepliesTeen Titans Go!, as hard as it can be to believe, actually has a lot of fans (genuine fans at that), including me. It has more than enough fans to keep it safe from this unflattering page.
Edited by MattBen789Should we add a picture on here? We have a picture for horrible animated movies why not horrible western cartoons.
Hide / Show RepliesThat image was cut for Being Just A Face And A Caption. The lack of images on horrible pages is due to a lack of images that don't fall into this.
Accidentally hit the save function twice.
Edited by Ferot_DreadnaughtShould Coconut's Fred Fruit Salad Island be on here, it's blatant Spongebob clone with unlikeable characters, mediocre at best voice acting and terrible animation that relays on stock images. (In the backgrounds at least).
Hide / Show RepliesI don't know. I'm sure it has a legitimate fanbase that enjoys Surreal Humor and whatnot. It even has a 4.8/10 on IMDB and a 5.4/10 on TV.com. Plus, it was nominated for two Daytime Emmy Awards, so I'd think that fact alone would automatically disqualify it from this list.
Why would Bordertown qualify?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanI'd say it could be on here, I haven't even seen a "true" fan of it.
As for it being to early, well we added Norm Of The North too the horrible lists and that came out in the same month so...
Would Mr. Pickles count? It's considered by most to be the worst show on Adult Swim by far. It's usually brought up due to how disgusting it is. Both TV Trash and The Mysterious Mr Enter consider it much worse than Allen Gregory (a show infamous for being terrible). The latter also holds it in lower regard than Mega Babies.
It's flaws include hideous characters, characters who are either unlikable and/or bland, a repulsive sense of humor, stupid plots with plenty of Padding, and it tries to compensates for its lack of substance with nightmare inducing and shocking content. Is that enough.
Edited by Idisagree Hide / Show RepliesI wouldn't put it on here. I actually loathe the show also, but as of now it has a 7.5 on IMDB, and a weak-but-not-terrible 4.6 on TV.com – and it does have a legit fanbase of those who like shock humor – so it most likely doesn't belong here. (That said, TV.com's skews a lot lower than IMDB – usually it's the other way around – so the IMDB score may be worth looking into).
The Eddie Reactorhead entry on this page is just all over the place, and rather than being a critique on the show, it's just a recap of one episode.
Edited by VAIAZShould we add Pixel Pinkie because...well, horrible animation, dumb characters and even worse acting, it just looks unfinished? It really looks like it's a work in progress rather than a ready to air product.
Does Turbo Teen really qualify? I've never seen it, but it does have a decent fanbase.
One cleanup thread later...Should we add Mother Up? It's gotten a load of hate from what ive seen.
I've noticed that a few cut entries were the result of looking at IMDB or other rating sites. I understand that using those sites is a good way to judge audience reaction, but please do not use them as the sole reason for getting stuff removed. Provide more evidence than just a score; look around for articles or reactions in forums and comment sections.
And that also goes for adding stuff just by review scores as well.
- [[disneyjunior.com/nina-needs-to-go Nina Needs To Go]], a poorly-animated short form commercial for Pull-Ups full of Aesop Amnesia and unlikeable characters. At one point, it got higher ratings than shows like Sponge Bob Square Pants.
If it got good ratings, shouldn't that disqualify it automatically? Also, it got placed inbetween an example and a reply to that example, which isn't okay. Also, it didn't get turned into a link, showing that that person didn't even preview it.
Edited by 72.35.103.186 Hide / Show RepliesRemoved. It is not So Bad, It's Horrible. It's an annoying short at worst. Also you're right, good ratings disqualify it.
Edited by 99.56.73.89 pee pee poo pooSeeing a lot of mention of Mr. Enter here... it's fine if you like him and everything but like 3 or 4 of the entries on this page cite his reviews. Just saying.
Little hamsters, big adventures. Hide / Show RepliesWell, as the description notes we can use "professional" reviewers to add context to our examples.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThat, and the man reads this very page to get ideas for what to review, so he's bound to have reviewed a lot of it.
I've seen a lot of hate for Planet Sheen. Should we add it here?
Hide / Show RepliesWell, if it gets nothing but hate, then we can list it here.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanJudging by the reviews, the general view is that it's just mediocre.
Mediocrity has no place here, so I'd suggest no, we shouldn't put it here.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."It's bad, but I've seen cartoons that are far worse than this. So no, it doesn't belong here.
Edited by 99.56.73.89 pee pee poo pooShould I add Adventures of the American Rabbit?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wLAof9rID5g
Apparently, it is this 80's video bargain bin cartoon done by Fred Wolf of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fame. It, like most 80's cartoons was based on some existing commercial property. This time, a series of greeting cards as with the Care Bears.
I remember catching a little bit of it on the Disney Channel, along with The Raccoons. I could never recall what happened in it, other than an interrogation scene with a gorilla in a water tank, but I thought it looked it cute. Finding out about it again in later life and sitting down to watch it I realize why I didn't understand anything going on it and why I remember The Raccoons a whole lot better.
This movie doesn't make any sense, and there are plot holes galore and all the characters are bland and without personality and there are dozens of characters, and the main character is a Marty Stu to the max. The soundtrack is a ripoff of the Chrisopher Reeve era Superman films.
Nobody seems to like this film. Under the quotes section of the main page we have a snarky comment by a critic, and the main page on it closes out with "Moral of the Story? Never let a greeting card designer make a movie."
Adding insult to injury? This film has one legitimate fan, and he is The Creator of Sonichu. There are even eerie similarities in narrative and structure between Sonichu and this film. You could argue that this film ruined that kid's life.
There are, however a few good things a can say about it, and those three good things were enough to get me through the film at least once. But only once.
- Rob Paulsen, the Voice of Donnatello and Yakko, and
- Lorenzo Muzak, Voice of Garfield and Peter Venkman. Both are terrific voice actors and can at least inject some personality into bland lifeless characters with their vocal inflections alone.
- The animation of Fred Wolf. Despite the designs of the characters being a bit weird with the way the rabbits ears fold over. The animation is akin to a well animated Ninja Turtles episode. It's very detailed and "anime-ish". I hold a nostalgic fondness for this style and I'm a little sad to see it go.
Otherwise this film is a complete trainwreck. What do you guys think?
Hide / Show RepliesIf the voice acting and animation is good, this may not count... Then again, the story is probably the most important thing about a movie. Let's see.
Oh, and apparently there's Awesome Music in the movie, provided by Flo and Eddie of Frank Zappa and The Turtles fame...
Actually, this fits better in the Animated Films section. Go over there and ask.
Edited by 68.229.67.152 "They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Didn't know some Frank Zappa cohorts made music for this film, but yes those are some good points and that aspect too makes the film more tolerable. I'll take this discussion to Animated Films.
I'm beginning to wonder if IM Db, TV.com, and Rotten Tomatoes ratings should even be considered as a factor in choosing entries for this or any SBIH page.
I cut Lazer Tag Academy because it has a 6.5 on the iMDB and a 6.1 on TV.com.
Allen Gregory has a 4.7 on the IMDB, yet other entries got cut for having similar ratings. Pro Stars has a 7.1 on the iMDB and a 5.6 on TV.com. The Big World of Little Adam has a 5.8/6.5; Chip and Pepper's Cartoon Madness has a 6 on the iMDB; Kung Fu Dino Posse has a 7.1/9.8; and Mega Babies has a 4.6/5.9.
Should all the above be cut, the folder they are in would be practically empty! Now tell me: should rating be a factor, or not?
Edited by 68.202.194.148 Hide / Show RepliesThey're all bad shows but the only one that wouldn't count is Kung Fu Dino Posse because of pretty high score. That's a very valid question.
Does anybody know who was behind this abominable rip-off of Snow White that Phoenix Games published? It's not on Dingo Picture's page and I doubt the have the budget (or the intelligence) to make something like this. In case the disturbing cover-art didn't scare anybody away, the movie itself will. It's another horrible Disney rip-off movie, with a hideously toxic blend of MS Paint-quality animation and barely PS1-quality 3D, replaces the seven Dwarfs with seven generic boys (and one's of them is a Blackfaced boy), horrible music, and a moronic story that hardly resembles anything it is ripping off. If anyone's needs to see a review of this piece of crap, Tennings has pretty much ripped this one a new one.
Edited by 76.117.181.196 Hide / Show RepliesI can't answer your question, but I think this does not belong on this page. It should go either on Horrible.Video Games or Horrible.Animated Film.
Edited by 76.65.118.212I now propose Breadwinners for this page. Almost everyone hates this show, even children. The animation sucks, the main characters are annoying, and the jokes are either mean-spirited or are fart jokes.
Edited by 99.56.73.89 pee pee poo poo Hide / Show RepliesDear lord, that show looks worse than Sanjay And Craig (which I used to think was the worst Nickolodean had to offer). I saw the previews and knew it might be headed here. However it's still running so ...
Even children hate this show?
I recently saw something that said it was successful amongst kids.
Wait till the series is canceled and then we'll decide.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast.""Even children hate this show?"
According to Common Sense Media. Any other sources?
pee pee poo pooI saw a ratings report saying that it was successful amongst its target audience. I don't think they'd falsify ratings.
It also seems that a lot of the "kid reviews" on Common Sense Media are really adults or teens masquerading as children.
Edited by 68.229.67.152 "They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I think it is possible they are falsifying information to make Breadwinners look better than it actually is.
Then why didn't Fox come out with a ratings report saying Allen Gregory was a huge success? They could have easily done that.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Okay, 1. I like Sanjay and Craig 2. It's the show's style, you either like it or you don't. 3. Breadwinners can't be added to this list because most professional critics (like New York Daily News and Los Angeles Times) have given it fair reviews, they haven't praised it, but they haven't bashed it either.
Edited by 208.93.202.26A lot of people seem to really hate this show for a variety of reasons, and i think it qualifies for a lot of reasons, including the fact iMDB gave it a 2.7, which ranks it lower than Allen Gregory. Yes, people hate Breadwinners more than what many people consider the worst show ever (Allen Gregory has 4.4). And i personally think that the "effort" put into making Breadwinners actually earn being "#1" is very poor and that all of this "praise" is just faked for publicity. The Mysterious Mr Enter made a lot more good points in his review, so i'd probably go see what he had to say to truly see if this qualifies.
Why exactly would Nickelodeon fake the praise? If the show was really, truly bombing it'd be off the network now.
And IMDB ratings are given by adults, who are not the show's target audience.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."And this brings up another round of problems: If people don't like the show, adult or not, it's a failure. A good cartoon should be able to be good for both children and adults, and this show fails here. There's also a huge Critical Research Failure provided by Rebel Taxi in which this show promotes feeding bread to ducks - which causes liver diseases! And as of the time of this writing, this show sank to 2.5 in iMDB; to put that in comparison, the bottom 100 list there has films 2.6 or lower. Yes, breadwinners qualifies to be put on the bottom 100. And nick would fake praise to keep the show on the air and to hide their obvious failure they've done; Nick does not want to fail so they try to keep themselves up. And to answer Aldo930, the creators of Allen Gregory knew that it was a failure from the backlash; Breadwinners doesn't seem to care or listen.
TL;DR Breadwinners fails to engage adults and kids so it fails, they forgot that "bread + ducks = No-no", and it has 2.5 on iMDB when the bottom 100 has <2.6, and the people making it don't care about their feedback.
And Scooby-Doo shows a dog eating things that could very well kill it. So does practically every funny-animal cartoon EVER. This is moronic. Most Funny Animal cartoons have the characters eating normal human foods.
Oh, and lookadis: http://www.cynopsis.com/052814-baby-genius-gets-todd-goldman-makeover-kidz-bop-block-breadwinners-creators-recipe-success/
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."So i guess you're going to try to defend it; while a critic may claim to like it and say that the cartoon is #1 in four weeks, you should notice this little clip of writing from your link: "Breadwinners seemed to happen almost overnight for us. We made the short over the span of a couple months, put it online, and there was an instant positive response. Within a couple of months we were developing the show at Nickelodeon, and within six months moving into full production on the first season." Note that the short was made in a couple of months to entertain other animators and features some pretty bad animation, terrible butt jokes, and irritating music. And unlike when Nickelodeon gave Fred a show (then the #1 show on youtube), the original cartoon short did not even get 150k views. Yes, Nick really is that incompetent in noticing things like that. Also, backlash by the fans is much more powerful then critics' opinions; fans of Total Biscuit made two teams of developers back off from claiming copyright on his videos sharply criticizing their games (The War Z and Guise of the Wolf) and deleting his entire channel.
While i can't make you not keep defending it, i'd like to help tell you why i think that this is a bad show and why it should go here. We all have different opinions, and i can accept that.
Edited by 71.217.124.235I went to Ask The Tropers and asked whether it should be here. The response was no. I added something to the page saying that it is not eligible to be on this page.
That is that. It won't end up on this page unless the show ends ignominiously.
Edited by 68.229.67.152 "They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Do you have a good reason?.
Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.Would a dropped pilot for "The Groovenians" qualify? It has some of the worst CGI to exist (it was made in 2002, for those of you wondering), surreal imagery, a heavy-handed moral on artistic vision and whatnot (specifically one moral that says anyone who is not an artist is a horrible person because they only care about money and making your life miserable and boring), unlikeable characters (except for the villain who actually comes up with legitimate points) and it makes you wonder if everyone who worked on it was on drugs. By the way, it was created by Kenny Scharf, a surreal artist, and had the voice talents of Paul Reubens and the late Dennis Hopper. The Mysterious Mr. Enter and Hewy Toonmore have declared it to be the worst thing they ever watched. (At least in the latter's case.)
Edited by 66.210.134.2 "Fame is fleeting, but infamy lasts forever." Hide / Show RepliesPlease see the below post by romanatorX. It was nominated for an Annie Award, which rules it out.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Never mind, then. Carry on.
"Fame is fleeting, but infamy lasts forever."It didn't WIN the Annie Award, did it? Not only that, anyone can nominate for awards.
If I may express my opinion, three of the entries here should be removed.
"Yo Yogi" maybe tried too much to be hip with the kids of the early '90s. But if you can get past that, it's really not such a bad show.
"The wacky world of Tex Avery" does have a very annoying intro, that can give you a migraine. But I actually liked the shorts about Pompeii Pete.
"The king and I" is a movie, that has a very undeserved hatedom. Sure, there are better animated movies out there. But I say that most of the characters are quite likable. And I really enjoyed the love story between the crown prince and the Burmese servant girl.
Those three entries also all seem to be all about some people not liking these shows and this movie, without giving us any good reasons why. Okay, we have the villain's Asian stereotype sidekick in "The king and I". But he was only one character among many others, who were actually likable and not stereotypes...
Edited by 192.168.0.3 Hide / Show RepliesThe Wacky World Of Tex Avery apparently is well-loved in Germany, so that probably could discount it for this page.
Yo Yogi, according to our fellow forum-mate Psi001, had a few genuinely amusing episodes. (I thought so, too, admittedly.) It isn't the worst thing Yogi was in - that'd be Yogi's Gang - but it isn't very good either.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."The animated films folder has been removed. Why?
Edit: Nevermind, I found out why. It was moved to Film
Edited by 99.56.73.89 pee pee poo poo Hide / Show RepliesI'll move it back. Film is very large as it is; adding more entries to it could break the size limit.
I like to nominate the 1999 animated version of The King And I. It has 13% rating at Rotten Tomatoes and 3.4 at IMDB.
Hide / Show RepliesIF that's not enough to convince anyone, here's something according to the IMDB's Trivia:
"In response to the overwhelmingly negative reviews, the estates of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein have declared that there are to be no more animated features based on their musicals."
Despite it having a huge hatedom, I have to defend that movie. Most of the characters are likable, and I enjoyed the sub-plot about the crown prince and his love for a commoner girl.
Food Fight doesn't belong here. The description is unconvincing and its YMMV page says it's either So Bad, It's Good, So Okay, It's Average, or just bad. Being just bad doesn't qualify a work as being So Bad It's Horrible.
Also, in this forum there was opposition to putting the movie on the So Bad It's Horrible page.
Edited by 69.172.221.4 Hide / Show RepliesThe movie has a 2.7/10 on IMDB. Also, we should try and get someone to make a more fitting description for the film if we were to pit it up here.
Why?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe show apparently does have a fan base. Some feel it went downhill after its first season - which implies it had something going for it in the first place. People like Peter Paltridge of Platypus Comix like the show.
So, no, it doesn't count.
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."That and it's considered both So Bad, It's Good and for many, a Guilty Pleasure. I admit it was decent originally but went through Seasonal Rot.
So I highly doubt it counts.
I propose the Bubsy cartoon pilot. Lets see... There's the unlikeable characters, the ear-grating voice acting and sound effects, the over-usage of Stock Footage, the unfunny jokes and the mean spirited running gag of Arnold the Armadillo's fear of getting run over by a truck.
Edited by 99.56.73.89 pee pee poo poo Hide / Show RepliesI guess we could place it here. If it's going to go on here, I've already came up with an entry.
- In 1993, Calico Entertainment was planning on making a Bubsy cartoon, but the pilot episode, entitled "What Could Possibly Go Wrong?", never got picked up due to poor reviews and nothing else was made after that. And it's very easy to see why it was thrashed so much. Almost all of our main heroes are completely unlikable, and have voice acting that not only wastes the talent of famous names like Rob Paulson, Jim Cummings and Tress MacNeille, but are also so incredibly ear-grating. It was also hampered down even more with unfunny jokes and overusage of Stock Footage. The only likable character in the entire pilot is Arnold Armadillo, and sadly he is treated to a downright mean-spirited Running Gag involving his fear of getting run over by a truck. The animation in the pilot is So Okay, It's Average, but at times resorts to cheap techniques. The Mysterious Mr. Enter took an axe to it here, as well as Tooncrap and Nothing but Cartoons. There's also an annotated version as well. And just in case you weren't convinced enough, here's the entire thing. "What could possibly go wrong?", indeed.
EDIT: Holy crap, it was already on here!!!!
Edited by 75.161.177.110Would somebody please update the entry for the cartoon "Bad Dog" and explain WHY it's so bad? There's no description as to why it's terrible - nothing about the show's comedy, animation, characters, etc.?
Not me, though. I watched the show and found it average. Kind of funny, but not the best.
Edited by 68.229.67.152 "They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast." Hide / Show RepliesI have to agree. If there's literally NOTHING describing how bad the show is, as well as you thinking it's just So Okay, It's Average, then we might as well just nix it.
It's been deleted. If anyone who does hate the show can give a good reason as to why it was awful, they can put it back up. For now, though...
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Were you the guy who originally added the entry?
If not, did you see the show and why did you think it was bad?
"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I know not to put things there simply because the Nostalgia Critic said so. But c'mon, this qualifies
Hide / Show RepliesI found the footage he showed hilarious and in my opinion, it looks So Bad, it's Good. Though I'd expect it to show up on both lists to be honest.
Edited by 124.148.34.18 "You always win when you are Good!" - [1]Just because you liked it, doesn't mean anyone else agrees with you. The film has a 2.3/10 on IMDB in case you're wondering.
Edited by 58.165.162.206Does Titanic The Legend Goes On really belong here? I mean most people find the other Titanic Animated movie worse and that one doesn't qualify either. Both are firmly in So Bad, It's Good territory and then there's the Rapping Dog. Hatedom alone isn't a reason to list something otherwise we'd have Johnny Test and Family Guy (which doesn't belong here by any means) on here.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't think either movie qualifies, but I held off on removing Titanic The Legend Goes On because I couldn't think of a convincing enough reason and the reason I used for The Legend Of The Titanic wouldn't work. (The Legend Of The Titanic was a success while Titanic The Legend Goes On was a flop.)
We can all agree that they're both BAD movies, why do people insist on arguing which is worse?
Edited by 99.26.124.254 Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.I don't care which one is worse, I just think people shouldn't just add things they don't like but are So Bad, It's Good. Hatedom doesn't equal horrible enough and that's a general rule
Wait a sec.. are we talking about the "uncut" version of the movie or the "edited" version?
Originally the "edited" version was listed here along with The Legend Of The Titanic, A troper pulled it claiming that being historically innacurate and/or getting trashed by Doug Walker isn't enough to call it "horrible", and I did the same with The Legend Of The Titanic as well as pointing out the film's strong sales in Italy.
The issue here is that, while I don't think the "uncut" version is that bad either, it has more "strikes" against it that make it harder to defend.
Edited by 68.4.82.242 Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.I'm considering adding Happily n'Ever After to this list. The movie has a 4.2 on imdb, got torn apart by infamous animation, and could be called generic and mediocre if one is being generous. A fractured fairy tale set up with bored celebrity performances, an unimaginative premise and setting (which is called fairy tale land of all things), cliched humour seen in better dreamworks movies, and stiff and bland animation. It even has a sequel which is even worse. Does it qualify? It just seems to be a lazy, lazy effort not really worthy of any respect.
I hate coming up with signature lines. Hide / Show RepliesI, for one, found it So Okay, It's Average. It's the sequel I found horrible, except the credit song.
Magic people, voodoo people! It has a 4% rating on rotten tomatoes and a 28/100 on Metacritic, so it definitely may as well be put on the list.
what about canadian animations like caillou(the kid with bipolar disoder)camp lakebottom(a knockoff of gravity falls)almost naked animals and scardy squirrels(BOTH a ripoff of spongebob squarepants)and johnny test?! 90% of the shows are flash animation!but what about handrawn animations? the only shows that i like is TDI,6teen and stoked.
Hide / Show RepliesI don't like those shows, either (I especially agree with the statement about Camp Lakebottom, but they actually get some fairly decent reviews from critics (Almost Naked Animals especially, surprisingly enough). And for Caillou, parents either Love It or Hate It. So they (sadly...) don't qualify for this page.
damn it! why these people love it even when there COPYING and mimicing shows and yet nobody seems to care!
Why do people like things you don't? One of life's greatest mysteries.
Same reason people like Dance Pop, because a lot of mediocre stuff gets popular and Hatedom can't stop that. Just because you hate something doesn't mean it deserves to be here. Johnny Test is also So Bad, It's Good and a Guilty Pleasure for many.
I don't think that the 1966 Hobbit should be on here. The IM Db rating is a 5.7 and the few reviews available are more mixed than negative.
Also, the entry doesn't seem to cite any sources.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/I nominate the Miramax cut of the The Thief and the Cobbler, Arabian Knight.
It has horrible jarring animation, unnecessary voiceovers that consist of annoying inner monologues and narration explaining things we can already see, dull and generic Award Bait Songs that do nothing but pad the running time, and the most damning of all, ruining the film that Richard Williams (who had started the project in 1964) had spent over 25 years working on and making it as good as he could, only to have it taken away and butchered to death, looking NOTHING like what he intended. The film rates 40% on Rotten Tomatoes and you can view it here if you dare. The Nostalgia Critic has tackled it here.
Edited by 58.165.205.139Can we add Legend of Kung Fu Rabbit? It has a 3.1 rating on IM Db.
Hide / Show RepliesFUN FACT: That movie actually stars Rebecca Black. Yes, THAT Rebecca Black.
Dino Time shouldn't be on here for the sole reason that the entry doesn't explain that it's bad but that it was simply never released. Also, the entry is more of a rant that anything.
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/Even though Happily Never After got negative reviews in the box office, there are some few fans who liked it. But how about its sequel?
I removed Redakai since it has a 7.6 on TV.com, which would suggest that at least some people like it.
Does anyway have positive opinions of the original space chimps? i will admit to liking the original film. I bought the sequal like two years ago and its dvd rack...which i will probably never watch now
Hide / Show RepliesIf I'm getting this correctly, linuxfan66 says that he actually liked the first Space Chimps, but he would like to forget that a sequel ever came to existence.
As for my own opinions, I've never seen either film, but the first film was apparently successful enough to warrant a second film, so unless it's a bizarre case, I say the first doesn't belong here, at the very least.
Edited by SamMaxRemoving "Pretty Pretty Ponies". It's an amateur work, of course it's going to look and sound amateurish. It's unfair to judge something not made by a professional by professional standards, but moreover, just watching thirty seconds of it was enough to convince me it'd probably be a better fit on So Bad, It's Good.

Regarding this.
- The original Secret Of Nimh was a classic, well recieved animated feature from Don Bluth that boldly tried to break out of the Animation Age Ghetto with it's lush art direction, surprisingly mature story, and excellent characterization. The Secret of NIMH II, on the other hand, suddenly did a total 180, and crashed the series head-on into the ghetto. And to say it sucked would be a compliment. The animation was atrocious—stiff, limited animation peppered with mediocre drawings and garishly colored backgrounds that don't even remotely capture the lush art of the first film. The story completely went against the first film, throwing out the mature story for a Self-Fulfilling Prophecy that can be seen coming from a mile away, and in general the story is a total Cliché Storm. The characters from the first film are completely derailed in personality and have the Idiot Ball stiched to them. The acting is so bland and forced that you wonder if they're even trying. The songs absolutely stink and only serve to shamelessly cash in on the Disney musical craze of the 90's (even though the first film was clearly an Anti-Disney film). In general, the whole film completely goes against what made the original such a classic, and is one of the most infamous examples of Sequelitis outside of the Land Before Time franchise.
What was that about again?
Hide / Show RepliesThe sequel to The Secret of Ni MH. It's a toss-up as to whether it belongs here or on the Sequelitis page, though.
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSList it under Sequelitis for now. Whether it belongs here or not, it belongs there.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyTruth is the Nostalgia Critic said it wasn't even the worst movie he reviewed that month (To be fair, he also reviewed The Never Ending Story [[Horrible/Film 3]] that month). Also I have a different friend who considers it a Guilty Pleasure. I'd say that disqualifies it.
May I add The Groovenians to the list? I know of only a few reviews of this, two by sort-of Caustic Critics (Hewy Toonmore from Mr Coat And Friends and Chris Moore from TV Trash), and three from average people on IMDB, but an overwhelming majority of them did a good job of showing why it sucks. The animation is cheap (Bad, obvious CGI), nothing makes sense, the villian is a Designated Villain, the other characters are one dimensional, the show drops it's Family-Unfriendly Aesop (doing stuff for money and paying taxes is bad, and artists should not be forced to accept responsibility) with the intensity of a nuclear explosion, there are plot holes the size of Canada, and the songs are considered awful. It's also telling that it lasted only one episode, aired twice on Adult Swim, before it was canned.
Edited by romanatorX Hide / Show RepliesIt sounds like it's worth a consider...
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyI'm not adding it to the list YET, because there is no official consensus, and it WAS nominated for an annie "Outstanding Achievement in an Animated Short Subject". But, here is what I would put down if it WAS accepted.
- The Groovenians, created by artist Kenny Scharf, who is known for putting pop culture icons into surreal settings, and who has a cast consisting of veteran voice actors such as Paul Reubens and Dennis Hopper. The plot is that two protagonists go from a boring planet to a bohemian planet called Groovenia. This should have been good, right? Well, viewers were treated to the one dimensional Mary Sue protagonists whining about the fact that they have responsibility, plot holes (when everything goes wrong, the normal planet turns into surreal nightmare fuel, among others), cheesy CGI, Dennis Hopper's characters SCREAM Designated Villain (Hopper's characters state the oh-so-horrifying lesson that you have to be responsible before you can be free), ANOTHER hard-hitting lesson (money is bad, and artists should not accept responsibility) and godawful songs. It lasted one episode, aired twice on Cartoon Network, and was forgotten.... until it was mocked on both Hewy's Animated Movie Reviews and TV Trash.
I think the annie nomination rules it out, assuming that's a comittee nominating. That's a "Best of" award!
ETA: Also, short subjects aren't supposed to have more than one episode. This was a one-shot.
Edited by AnonymousMcCartneyfan There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyThe Legend Of The Titanic is So Bad It's Horrible though. The one with the rapping dog is So Bad It's Good.
Has The Legend Of The Titanic ever been on this page? I thought it was the one with the rapping dog.
Yeah, but I don't think it was explained properly. I hadn't seen any footage of it at the time and, looking at the entries, they weren't well described. I had come to the conclusion that they were only posted because The Nostalgia Critic reviewed them, but if someone can make a better case for it, then put it up. It seems to have enough egregious offenses, but I'm not sure
Edited by SoWeAteThem Out eating the neighbors' tax forms, should be back soon.O Kay, here's what I got this far. I'll be editing this draft periodically: The Legend Of The Titanic (not to be confused with Titanic The Legend Goes On, which was funny by mistake) is practically everything bad about '90s-era children's cartoons. Beyond its shoddy animation, poor voicing, and painfully slow pacing, it insists on pandering to children (to the point where an octopus has a dog's face because, As You Know, children are incapable of grasping the concept of an ugly protagonist) Plot Holes to moor a ship in are abound, there are countless moments where the mood is completely uncertain, confusing and downright offensive Disney Deaths, and, as the final insult, downplays the tragedy of the Titanic like no tomorrow.
Out eating the neighbors' tax forms, should be back soon.Someone removed Legend of Titanic on the basis that its sales were good in its home country, which I think is poor reason to remove it since its childrens film and they except anything.
I have the feeling I'm going to start a flame/edit war with this, but...
1. I removed it because it did not fulfill the criteria set by the of "failure to appeal to any niche" It doesn't belong on here for the same reason The Magic Voyage doesn't belong: it had a niche and it appealed to it. I admit, it's a stupid and fairly offensive movie, but it's still funny in some ways. 2. No offense Mr. Zeta, but "Children will accept anything" is an incredibly weak counterargument. 3. It's already been on the So Bad, It's Good page long before it was added here. 4. It and the other animated titanic movie, believe it or not, seem to have some sort of Fandom Rivalry and both movies have been occasionally added and removed from this section.
Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.Addendum: Having read the entry and watched the movie again it seems the guy who added it in the first place didn't actually watch the movie himself and just wrote what he gathered from the NC review, (Something that sadly happens all too often in the SBIH pages...)
Hate sites were always doomed to fail. The only thing that can make someone hate a franchise with total certainty is the franchise itself.Just letting you know, if Allen Gregory fits here, we should add more on why the show fits here. Now, it's just a description on the show.
I read That Other Wiki and found out that The Goode Family actually received rather mixed reviews, so it wouldn't appropriately qualify as being horrible. But it may well be the worst thing Mike Judge ever lent his name to. I do, however, believe Allen Gregory qualifies as SBIH, and I've seen some episodes, and neither of them were any good. The pilot episode drew especially negative reviews. I just added Allen Gregory to this, and it's that bad.
Born in Newfoundland and Labrador and moved to Ottawa subsequently.Would My Little Pony G3.5 count? I've never met anyone who saw that who didn't want to claw their eyes out after, especially the Newborn Cuties, and every clip from it gets tons of thumbs-down on the Internet.
Edited by EmmaWoodhouse18 Hide / Show RepliesI don't know... the page proper says that both G3 and G3.5 have their fans. I've never seen either for myself, but if that's what it says, it would imply that they're vocal enough for it not to qualify.
Edited by SamMaxI found this, attempted to put it in its proper place, then realized I wasn't sure if it even fit. I also cleaned some spelling errors in this entry:
- Crash Canyon has a 3.0 on IMBD, scrappy all around, no likeable or memorable characters, almost everything stolen from better Animation (like The Simpsons, Family Guy (even down to the cut-away gags), American Dad, The Cleveland Show, Glen Martin DDS, Kevin Spencer, etc.), and sadly, made by an ex-Simpsons writer.
I removed this, because the Battletoads cartoon is really more of So Bad, It's Good than So Bad Its Horrible:
The Battletoads cartoon thankfully never made it past the pilot, for many reason: ◦ The animation is so absurdly limited as to be downright painful. When and if the characters move in any way that doesn't make them look like puppets with half the strings gone, they don't so much walk as slide across the ground. ◦ The dialogue takes Totally Radical to asinine levels: characters are non-ironically trying to use catchphrases like "psychotronic". ◦ The story is so distant and detached from the game as to be the plot to a completely different series — specifically The Last Starfighter, from which they stole several plot points wholesale. ◦ The characters' designs are also changed in bizarre ways, and the writing is such that no one at all is the least bit sympathetic. The three toads are now three teenage losers from an Insignificant Little Blue Planet, and from start to finish come off as brain-dead morons even though one of them*
is canonically described as a Genius Bruiser — not that the writers cared. They're not even the kind of brain-dead assholes you can get behind; they have no human pathos. Their mentor Professor T. Bird, a cool snarky dude in the games, becomes a bumbling idiot who seems like he has to wear diapers. The Dark Queen was the only character to escape Character Derailment, keeping the Alpha Bitch From Space persona she had in the games.
Hide / Show RepliesDid you check to see if anyone else agrees with you? If not, you might want to. I will too if I'm not too busy.
About "Doozy bots", if there is another reason why is sucks OTHER than the fact it's a poor adaption of MSG than you have to state it. None of that "trust me" crap.
Edited by aladdin99 Hide / Show RepliesI think I saw this under So Bad, It's Good once...
- Behold, The Doozy Bots. At first, it looks like a lame cross between Mighty Orbots and Captain Planet starring a Five-Token Band consisting of an ambiguously Asian quarterback, a cheerleader with a southern drawl, a fat hockey player, a skateboarder who speaks totally radical, and a black cripple. Together, they join Dr. Doozy and have their minds transferred into the eponymous robots to fight an earlier generation bent on eliminating fun from the world. It could still have been So Bad, It's Good... if it weren't for the robots themselves.◊ Yes, that's right; this is supposed to be an adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam for American audiences. It goes downhill from here: the robots turn out to be midgets, and the bad guys are wimps who go down in one punch. The worst part? Sunrise thought this is what Americans want. Make of that what you will.
- The biggest of the Unfortunate Implications? The fact the black cripple turns into a Guntank!!
I agree with the people who say that Adaptation Decay isn't enough to qualify as So Bad, It's Horrible. Sometimes an adaptation can be good on its own merits. If you put this back, put it in for reasons Other than "WAAAAAAH!!!!!!!!!! LOOK WHAT THEY DID TO GUNDAM!!!!!!! Ruined Forever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Edited by SamMaxSomeone put it back. I removed it again and put up an edit reason stating why. I just hope they follow it.
EDIT: And then someone removed the edit reason. Though I suppose in this case, I typed it wrong. Still getting used to being here. Put it up again with different typing. Hope it helps.
Edited by SamMaxI didn't removed it because it was typed wrong. I removed it because it belongs here, not on the main page. There, it's natter, even if it only shows up as source code.
My name is Freezer and my anti-drug is porn.Oops. Sorry about the Natter. I didn't mean to break the rules. I thought it was needed because someone added The Doozy Bots back without looking here.
Edited by SamMaxI wish whoever put that up hadn't used the term cripple. I dunno if they are trying to just be ludicrous or if they are actually trying to be offensive.
Anyway, I think it deserves to be up. Aside from the adaption decay it's more "offensive due to this is what the Japanese think with make Gundam take off in the west - cliche storm + the Burger King Kids Club as main characters" it got rejected by all the stations they shopped around for broadcast on presumably due to it's trite stereotyping.
Also, the wheelchair user turning into a form with tank treads = erm think that one through much Sunrise?
It's just a smorgasboard of Sunrise trying to distill what they saw as Saturday Morning cartoons as being like by distilling the general feel of said shows of the era into a ridiculous cliched mess and then throwing chibi-Woody Allen and Gary Coleman in there because. Hey, that's American right? Even taking out that this is Gundam it sucks but the only reason gets much attention is because it is based on Gundam. It might have gotten a few shares as "Sunrise tries to do a Saturday morning cartoon and fails" if the mecha had not being Mobile Suits but something generic but it being Gundam adds extra "spice" to the fail pile.
Offensiveness and being a Follow the Leader Cliché Storm show are not enough, otherwise we would have seen a lot more of those here than we do now, and the ones that are here had other reasons for belonging. Of course, I may be missing the point of your statement.
Edited by SamMaxWho removed Da Nutshack? I tried to watch the annotated series, and I couldn't get through it. It was literally PAINFUL.
Blue Pacific, signing off... Hide / Show RepliesI've noticed that, for quite some time, some of the Internet reviewers' reviews of certain shows have been removed for no reason other than "don't put reviews of any reviewer on there", or something to that effect. And it has happened before, on a few other So Bad, It's Horrible subpages (Film and Asian Animation). Recently, here, someone removed the reviews for Lazer Tag Academy, The Legend Of The Titanic, and Pro Stars.
I know that a general rule of thumb of placing Internet reviewers' reviews is that they're only added when actual critics review the work. So what's the reason for those reviews getting removed, and is it vandalism when there's no reason?
Edited by arcadiarika Hide / Show RepliesI don't think there was an official ruling by the mods that you can't link reviewers in SBIH pages; I think ThirtyH (the troper that removed them) was just sick of seeing links to reviewers on these pages, and set out to delete them. Unfortunately, he should've asked a mod for permission first, since he got banned for it.
Yeah. They ruled against Thirty H. Put the links back.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.Definitely not, even Linkara admits that it's bad, this coming from a comic book reviewer.
I consider it possible that show was Horrible. I did see that one when it came out, but didn't enjoy it much. Don't remember much, either...
It didn't last more than one season, which probably is just as well, considering the real Bo Jackson's careers didn't last much longer. Football is just too dangerous to do part-time.
It definitely wasn't a good cartoon, though I can't be confident on how bad. It might just be on the low end of So Okay, It's Average. However, Jordan and Gretzky have been out there with true independent fandoms for some time, abd so this show is a candidate for this page; otherwise fans of one or the other of them would be doing more to make this known or defend it.

Edited by SamMaxI'm not going to cut it just yet, but does The Wacky World of Tex Avery really belong here? As far as I know, it was a kids' show, and kids will watch pretty much anything you put in front of them. Besides that, its entry has all the markings of Complaining About Shows You Dont Like, particularly the "it doesn't have even one funny joke!" bit - humor is subjective, after all.

Thanks to the Animation Age Gheto, pretty much everything on the page except that Nutshack abomination and CAD Animated are "kid's show". Doesn't mean there's isn't a gigantic difference in quality between them and, say, Avatar.
"humor is subjective, after all."
As is writing quality, animation, voice acting and every other criteria used to judge quality - and so is the overall quality itself, infact.
Edited by GlowsquidFor a more standard example compare the show to Phineas And Ferb. That's how you do a two shorts comedy show.
The Crystal Caverns A bird's gotta sing.It won't help Wacky World of Tex Avery much; Wacky World was a three shorts show.
Platypus Comix did a review of Wacky World for Toon Zone recently, and while it didn't have good things to say about the entire show, it did at least say that "Power Pooch" was all right in its own respect. Should we at least mention that?
pearlina brainrot affects millions of people worldwide. if you or a loved one are suffering from pearlina brainrot, call 1-800-GAY-NERDSYes, or at least modify the description. The current one claims there is not one funny joke in there; if even one of the series of shorts is tolerable, then that can't be right.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney"kids will watch pretty much anything you put in front of them."
Because kids aren't, like, humans with brains or anything. I actually had the ability to form opinions on what I watched as a tyke, and this kind of talk always offended me.
Anyway, point is, that doesn't save something from being horrible. If it did, we'd have to move every children's show here to So Cool, It's Awesome.
Actually a girl.Hey, who took off The Buzz On Maggie part in the page?! I put it there, because I thought it was pretty bad. Sure, Brian Doyle-Murray isn't that bad of a voice actor, but why'd they pick him to play her dad? What bugs me the most, no pun intended, is that Maggie almost never gets her way. That sucks.
Edited by CabbitGirlEmi Hide / Show RepliesIt isn't about you. SBIH is (ideally) about things that everyyone agree sucks and no one likes. Wikipedia says the show was nominated for two awards, which pretty much disqualify it.
I second that. There are a lot of cartoons I don't like, but almost everyone else has to agree. If not, then it doesn't qualify. Just because you hate a show, do your research before going any further to see if everyone else shares your opinion.
Can we please add DA Boom Crew back on? There's a reason why this show isn't well known.
I'm calling bullshit on this.
- Despite relatively decent ratings, the cartoon Squirrel Boy seems to be considered this to many people. If fact, the Hatedom helped lead to its eventual cancellation.
"relatively decent ratings" is more than enough to make is Not An Example, but "seems to be considered this to many people" just makes even less of an example.
Edited by nuclearneoWhy is the link to the Hammerman theme song sung by Microsoft Sam under the post about Freaky Flickers: the Movie?
Hide / Show RepliesSomeone removed the entry for Hammerman (presumably because our page on it says it's not that bad) but forgot to remove the sub-point. I'll delete it.
Okay, Street Fighter Ride is horrible, but since it's a virtual reality ride, shouldn't it be in Video Games? I just want to be sure here.
Hide / Show RepliesProbably. There is a reason that Phoenix Games and Dingo Pictures have separate listings on their respective pages...
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyWait. This is for Horrible/WebOriginal. We created that category for a reason.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyVR Rides don't have anything to do with the Internet, and it'd say it should stay here, as it's not interactive enough to count as a vidya gaem.
Personally, I find it So Bad, It's Good, but I seem pretty alone in that.
Edited by GlowsquidIt got moved to Video Games. (Not by me.)
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyRemoved this for now.
- Ren & Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon was the resurrection of Ren And Stimpy and an example of how some shows should stay dead. The original Ren & Stimpy was good, but was already taking everything Up to Eleven. The new hellspawn that crawled forth from Spike TV went much further. The show was made outright nauseating (which is something, given the original show), and the titular characters were made openly gay in a way that made nearly everyone squirm regardless of sexual orientation. Apparently, John K. was restrained (and eventually fired) for good reason.
It sounds horrible, but it has around a 7 on IMDB and TV.com.
Hide / Show RepliesDoes not belong on the page. The show was actually well recieved in ratings and reception (but has gained a LARGE Hate Dom) and was only cancelled due to Schedule Slips. And on that note, the excessive Grossout stuff was the result of Spike meddling with the show and making John put, in his words, "unnecessary adult themes" into it.
Wait — Mortal Kombat: the Adventure Begins has a segment in the film proper worth watching?!
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney Hide / Show RepliesCut this and put it here for now. The film can't be horrible if it contains something truly worth watching — even if it's just a minute or two.
- Mortal Kombat: The Journey Begins, which came out around the time the first live-action movie hit theaters. It was meant as some sort of prequel/retelling/sidestory of the video game and the movie...we think. Chances are, you're better off enjoying the Gorn of the video games, the impressive stuntwork and exciting techno of the live-action movie, or the laughable stupidity of the Saturday-morning cartoon series. This trainwreck had horrible, repetitive, and downright-ugly animation haphazardly set against conspicuous outdated CGI backgrounds. If you don't think you have it in you to stomach the entire thing, then this 10-minute sampler should be enough to give you an idea.
- The behind-the-scenes look at the movie at the end is interesting, but it's not worth watching the whole tape for. In fact, the only part of the animated movie alone worth watching is the "Meet the Mortal Kombatants" segment, which starts at 2:38 in this video.
What? Kasumi Ninja has that funny Scottish guy and we dont remove that. Tattoo Assassins has that awesome death animation of the final boss and we dont remove that. Trespasser is now playable due to modding and its still there. One tiny reaming factor should not be enough to disqualify something.
Infact, that's more of an attack than a defense. It basically says "Everything except this short segment is not worth watching at all".
But yeah, I agree with nuclearneo557 in that something really minor like "One scene was watchable", "one character was kind of cool" ect shouldn't be the sole defense for something - or at least not a redeeming quality.
Edited by GlowsquidAlso, I watched the segment and discovered that its right before the credits. Its not really part of the film, just character profiles with the crappy animation. It should go back.
Point taken. You may put it back then. Sorry...
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyAre we sure The Mighty Mr. Titan qualifies?
Put aside the subject matter for a moment. What kind of Horrible work has an Ensemble Dark Horse?
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney Hide / Show RepliesCut this and put it here for now. An Ensemble Dark Horse, IIRC, is a character who is unexpectedly popular with the fanbase. Thus, you cannot have one without the other.
- In a similar vein to The Big World Of Little Adam is The Mighty Mr. Titan, another educational program made during the dawn of the Cold War. The concept behind the show already fails — it was intended to encourage kids to exercise and be more active, but wouldn't they just go outside and play instead of take formal exercises with an animated workout video? In addition, the Limited Animation, while surprisingly impressive in comparison to Little Adam, is still painfully obvious, and the framerate and motion is cringe-inducing. And then there's Mr. Titan himself, a constantly smiling Marty Stu who always stands in the same, stiff position, and has the personality of a stick figure; in fact, his own sidekick, a stick figure himself, bests him in both personality and popularity. *
Why is Hopla not here?
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2D Hide / Show RepliesIt's listed in Periphery Hatedom, and it's run for 11 years. Thus, even if it is Horrible, it might be hard to confirm.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyHeres an episode. prepare to bleed from your eyes.
I am completely, utterly, and thoroughly done with Sola Sonica and 2DHey, I'm going to contest Mr. Meaty. I don't remember it being that god-awful. Perhaps the collective does. As for research, I think I'll save that for when I don't really need rest...
UPDATE: IMDB gave it 5.2/10. That Other Wiki had this to say:
- The TV series received a great deal of criticism from vegetarians and parents who did not like the gross-out humor. Many petitions were signed and sent to Nickelodeon to end the show. This may be a reason for its move to the Nicktoons Network and ultimately its short life. It is also the first show on Nickelodeon to utilize puppetry which many kids probably didn't appreciate as much as regular animation which could have also contributed to its short life.As of 2010, the Nickelodeon site is still intact and working today and everything is left the same way as it was when it was on.
Long story short: At worst, it's mediocre, but unremarkably so. It's not bad enough for here. I'm cutting it for now, but I'll put it here for good measure:
- Mr Meaty. Horrible puppet animation as well as ugly looking puppets, the entire plot is two guys who work in a meat shop in a mall. Full of Toilet Humor and other failed jokes, it only lasted one season before Nickolodeon canned it.
Super Saiya Man has made several horrible enters before, all were not horrible. He thinks that this page is, you know.
It got defended two times by separate editors, though I think both instances were deleted in the page history removal.
I never understand if the consensus of animated films is that they're listed in Western Animation or Film. Is it supposed to be the latter (I can understand if the "animation studios" bit remains here though)?
Edited by OldManHoOh Hide / Show RepliesWe don't have an "Animated Film" subpage (and I doubt it would be big enough to warrant its existance). The concensus is to list everything animated in Anime / Western Animation, from what I've seen.
Edited by GlowsquidWho removed Glenn Martin DDS? Did the reviews on TV.Com not prove that the show is in fact hated universally? And where is proof that the show is popular? If it has to be hated by every single person on the planet and not have any fans, THEN THIS PAGE WOULD BE EMPTY. Seltzerand Friedberg have fans yet they're still So Bad Its Horrible. And where were you when they added Rush Zone: Guardians of The Core? I'm sure that show has fans. And that entry was even more personal and rage-filled than mine on Glenn Martin DDS. I (and whoever edited it into its current state) merely took aim its hideous characters, butt jokes, adoration by Viacom despite the Fan Backlash and cripplingly topical sense of humor. The Rush Zone entry isn't anywhere near as comprehensive.
Edited by TweedlyDee I TELL YOU HWAT! Hide / Show Replies[1], please. It's like you didn't look at the reviews at all before deleting it again. Just becase a few people like it doesn't mean it's good. Glenn Martin DDS is a triumphant example of the All Adult Animation Is South Park trope. Notice how most of the positive revews are from teens and tweens? And you notice how mst of the negative reviews are from adults? A Fleeting Demo Graphic is not a good sign of quality, people! Not to mention the people I know in real life who have watched it hated it. Sonikfan112, I may be going into Internet Cold Reader territory here, but I'd estiamte you're within the show's target age: 11-14. An age where shit and dick jokes are inherently funny and you don't care what you're watching. Lowest Common Denominator is not good, either. Tkae this into consideration.
I TELL YOU HWAT!Check That Other Wiki, it may not be the most reliable source of information, but reception is mixed to positive.
You guys notice how the positive reviews are full of ephemeral crap like "OMG This is so funny and inventive"? And you notice most of the positive reviews come from 'tweens?
That's all the positive reception it got. The show has not subtle jokes whatsoever. (A guy gets his head shoved up an Elephant's ass, The titular character has phone sex and the wiper fluid jets on his RV squirt at the height of the event, his kids brag about their Brother–Sister Incest.) Those easily fall into Dude, Not Funny! territory. And The Other Wiki isn't really that trustworthy.
I TELL YOU HWAT!As I said, That Other Wiki isn't the most reliable source, but is the show universally hated?
And besides, is there another source besides TV.Com that you could use as proof the show is universally hated? Try official critic sites, try finding several official sources of hate for the show that isn't TV.Com, you will find a lot, but will you find fans of the show? Maybe.
Edited by EtheruWho are these people who like it? I can't find a single soul in Real Life who likes it, where is this invisible majority? -Tweedlydee
He did, he says it's not that reliable, which it isn't, but isn't that what Citations are for? To show that the facts are true? To show it's not utter horseshit? To show that they did do their homework?
If it helps, I'm not a fan of the show, but it's because I don't watch it.
Also, if the humor is unsubtle and the jokes are so offensive, then wouldn't any other offensive show be on here? Or am I missing the point?
Just being offensive or unsubtle doesn't mean it warrants a spot.
I am going to leave this alone, if you please, but honestly, Glenn Martin DDS is only going to be removed every single time people try to put it back on, others may have better arguments than I do.
Edited by EtheruShould we be listing Ctrl Alt Del: The Animated Series under Western Animation or Web Original? It's based on a webcomic after all, and it's only sold online on DVD...
READ THIS COMIC. | Read along as I play through my games collection! Hide / Show RepliesI thought of that, but I don't know. It may be sold via Internet but it *isn't* actually avalaible (legally) on the Internet, up until recently you could only watch it by paying the DVDS.
Edited by GlowsquidThen it goes here. And I am stunned by it.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyThe animation is an atrocity, but I don't think the voices for Ethan and Lucas were that bad.
Not to turn this into an argument about CAD:The Animated, but while the voice acting certainly isn't Kreed-level of bad, the performances are quite overracted and phoned in. And beside, the show has many, mnay other problems than just the acting and animation...
Proposition: No listing shows that are still in production.
Early-Installment Weirdness and It Gets Better are known phenomena in TV series. Some series need time to find their final tone.
Also, So Bad Its Horrible is supposed to cover the entirety of a work. We may make allowance for Missing Episodes; but we cannot and should not judge the entirety of a work that is ongoing.
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyand that's saying something for being adapted from a webcomic that is already so unpopular that even its fans can no longer defend it.
I don't actually read the comic, but can someone back this bit about Ctrl-Alt-Del (the webcomic, not the animated show) up? It sounds like sheer creator bashing.
And what does it even mean?
Hide / Show RepliesI think A Nonymous Mc Artney Fan re-worded that bit. I think it's really meant to say "Even the few CAD fans not banned on the forum won't defend it".
Yes, I reworded that bit. Yes, that's what was originally meant (the iteration before I rewrote included a link to Lickspittle.) I figured that if they weren't defending it on its own forum, they weren't defending it off the forum either. They don't seem to be defending it here! On this very wiki, the Hatedom is far more visible than the fandom.
I am unsure how I bashed the creator, since I hadn't thought I mentioned him — in the sentence you quoted, it's the work that's unpopular. Buckley isn't CAD.
(ETA: Darn Life Embellished webcomics...)
Edited by AnonymousMcCartneyfan There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyOkay, I understand. Along the lines of "People who like to read it won't freely admit to it in public" then.
Removed this:
- Drak Pack, the very nadir of Hanna-Barbera's output in the late 1970s. It was a desperately unfunny gag show about benevolent monsters which was made without a single ounce of imagination, creativity, or curiosity about what it might be like to be a monster.
The show has a rating of about 7 on IM Db, and the Wikipedia article paints a completely different picture, particularly with this bit: "The series had a lighthearted, somewhat satirical tone. The dialogue was rather sophisticated for a Saturday morning cartoon of its time, and made use of alliteration, rhyming, colorfully-turned phrases and pop culture references."
Could we please elaborate on da Nutshack?
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney Hide / Show RepliesI'm trying my damnedest to find more about it, but yeah...it's not a very popular show. If anybody can find more information, that would be great. (Probably for a good reason.)
Okay, I did some resaerch, and for the health of my brain, I am not doing any more. If this thing is not a pure, uncontestable example of The Nutshack being the Most Triumphant Example of shit, well, be my guest.
Hey there, I just want to elaborate about this entry. The first time I saw this cartoon was in a "shit thread" over at 4chan's /co/ board. Basically what the posters in that thread did was troll each other by showing the worst cartoons they know. Yes, this was another "angry reaction pic thread,"(they never get old). So anyway, fare usually went from annoying stuff like Angela Anaconda, to stupid "What-the-hell-were-they-thinking" stuff like Gadget Boy, Super Duper Sumos, and Butt Ugly Martians. However, whenever someone posted The Nutshack(usually accompanied by the message of "I DARE you to find something shittier..."), the tread just stops right there.
Personally, I find this cartoon to be everything there is to dislike about the Millennium Age of Animation(All Adult Animation is South Park, Lazy Motion Tween'd Animation, Toilet Humor, Totally Radical slang, "that-cursed-crunk-theme-song" etc.).
Anyway, if your curious about that strange clip with one of the main characters "summoning "the barrel man"", here's a TOW article about. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barrel_man It's basically a lewd tourist gift.
This 'zhit is deeeeeep fried my friends...Cut this and put it here for now. Its page claims it's So Bad, It's Good, and it ran for more than one season.
- Legend of the Dragon was a mind-numbing attempt at Dragon Ball Z-esque anime fighting shows in America. It didn't work out. The plot was literally stock and by the numbers, even ripping off elements of both Dragon Ball Z and Jackie Chan Adventures (both vastly superior shows in every possible sense). The characters were all glaring non-entities. But the worst of the worst was the animation, which is almost impossible to describe without seeing it in "motion" (using the word loosely); the animation of Legend of the Dragon makes the animation of Aqua Teen Hunger Force look like Avatar. Besides being slow and choppy, it renders the characters almost immobile. Males are almost indistinguishable from females, save for their faces. The fight scenes, arguably the point of the show, are done in what is probably supposed to be bullet time or slow motion — but it looks as if it's being paused and unpaused rapidly in succession — clearly, someone didn't draw enough frames. It's almost unwatchable because of the bargain-basement animation. The story and non-action make it boring as Hell.
You know, it's kinda cruel to use a clip of a Horrible work as the sole reason for listing it. (I'm thinking of that Simon Bolivar film.)
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartney Hide / Show RepliesThe IMDB score is very low and the one review called it "pure canine excrement". I would watch it and explain more if it was in English.
Hmm, tell me, did the Larriva Eleven have that zany Warner Bros. logo at the start, rather than the regular Looney Tunes circle?
Edited by 94.9.179.3 Hide / Show RepliesYes, they did. As said on the Looney Tunes page, if you see that logo with the technocolor minimalistic lines coming at you, and it's not animated by Chuck Jones, you will be looking at the series' Dork Age.
Id like to contset this:
- Street Fighter Ride is a virtual reality program whose awfulness gives The Journey Begins a run for its money. Marginally better CG at the expense of some of the worst Adaptation Decay this side of Street Fighter the Movie. It's basically four minutes of Ryu and Ken flying around in hovercrafts as they hunt down M. Bison (who is 20 feet tall in this version for some reason) and pass by a few of the other characters in Street Fighter II fighting their own battles, but none of it appears to matter.
If that's not So Bad, It's Good taken Up To Eleven, nothing is.
Hide / Show RepliesI very much agree but Anonymous Mc Artney's fan comment above and the comment on the videos seems to disagree. So whatever.
Looks like I'm outnumbered... <grin>
There is a fine line between recklessness and courage — Paul McCartneyIs there any other reasons for why The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang should be on here? The current entry just say the premise is stupid and that Seth Macfarlane (who's not exactly liked by the troper hivemind) cited it as one of the worst cartoons of all time.
Hide / Show RepliesExactly. It doesn't even seem that bad. It's a lot closer to So Bad, It's Good IMO.
Okay, then. Without further evidence that it's worse than any other cartoon of its type in The Dark Age Of Animation, I'll cut this and put it here for now.
- The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang. If you thought Happy Days jumped the shark before...well, this is worse. Explained in the intro by narrator Wolfman Jack:
"Oh, now the gang got sucked into that time machine, and they're...like, travelling through time!"
- You only need to know that it should never be watched without first consuming copious amounts of alcohol. To dull the senses, of course.
- Ah, yes. The Happy Days gang, a girl from a future that is highly unlikely to turn up, a dog in a leather jacket, and a time-traveling diner with jukebox and year indicator. The goal was to get back to 1957, except when there was a Friend-or-Idol Decision, in which case some of them would reach 1957 but have to leave to save their friends... This show was cited by Seth MacFarlane as the worst cartoon of all time.
Yeah, I had posted it. While I have seen enough of it to know how bad it was, I concede that it was part of a glut of terrible animated fare in the 70's and 80's.
I would like to suggest “Velma” be added to the page on February 12th. Currently, it has a 59% on Rotten Tomatoes with an audience score of 7%. From the reactions I’ve seen, it seems to generate hate from both right-wing and left-wing audiences with offensive jokes and whatnot. Also, people were hating on it before it even came out.
