I live in Rhode Island and was born in the mid-90s.
I am a semi-decent artist, although I honestly am trying to get better...
I can play the ukulele, mandolin and tenor banjo, and am trying to learn the fiddle. (I'd also love to learn the accordion or steel guitar.) I also play a few novelty instruments, such as kazoo, musical saw, slide whistle, duck call, washboard...
I hope someday to have my own review show and have a moron fanbase that'll believe everything I say. I could do some good in the world that way... like topple the reputations of overrated crap...
Things I like:
- Anime: Most of the anime I like is pre-90s and very obscure, and I have gotten into Saban Entertainment's anime dubs recently. (The most recent anime that seems interesting to me was in 1994!)
- Comics: I'm currently into underground comics. My favorites at the moment are Robert Crumb and the criminally underrated Robert Armstrong, creator of Mickey Rat and inventor of the term "couch potato." Look him up! He is great! A lot of the cartoon styles of the 20s and early 30s are also favorites for me, among them George Herriman's Krazy Kat.
- Film: I've seen a lot of films, but among my favorites: UHF is one of the funniest movies ever made. I also love Forbidden Zone and its absurd surrealism. For good filmmakers...well, I like Mel Brooks. I also like Laurel and Hardy and prefer Buster Keaton over Charlie Chaplin.
- Live-action TV: Mystery Science Theater 3000 is one of my favorite shows. I also like Monty Python, and I think The Amanda Show was the best thing Dan Schneider has ever made. (This movie better! MUCH BETTER!)
- Music: Dance band music, hot jazz, blues, old-time country, ragtime, polka, jug band, 50s rock 'n' roll, French musette... I have a very old fashioned taste in music - very little after 1966 except for Frank Zappa and They Might Be Giants.
- Western animation: I just love it in general. I have a lot of favorite shows in the genre, enough so that a list would take up the whole page...but to give a few: Ren And Stimpy, Rockos Modern Life, Cow And Chicken, The Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy, Sponge Bob Square Pants, The Angry Beavers, Cat Dog, Hey Arnold, Courage The Cowardly Dog, The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, Dexters Laboratory, Rocky And Bullwinkle, Ed Edd N Eddy, Chowder, The Marvelous Misadventures Of Flapjack, Animaniacs, Pinky And The Brain, Freakazoid!, The Simpsons, Futurama, The Critic, Family Guy... I could go on...
