Bleach

    Ichigo Kurosaki

Ichigo

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ichigo_7.png
Debut: Volume 1 - Chapter 1 (Manga), Episode 1 (Anime)
Crusade Mod Creator: Cielbami (updated from a mod by Jio_Inzagi and Prohawk)
Character Mod Origin: Early versions of Super Smash Flash 2

  • Charged Attack: Two of his specials, the Sword Beam neutral special and the Flash Step side special, can have their properties altered by holding down the button; the former move becoming a stronger slower-moving projectile, the latter sending Ichigo farther.
  • Flash Step: His side special, vanishing from view as he dashes forward, with the dash hitting opponents before he even reappears.
  • Instant Flight: Just Add Spinning!: Swinging his BFS overhead, Ichigo ascends via up special.
  • Super Mode: His Bankai, activated with his down special when his Bankai Meter is filled.
  • Sword Beam: Casts a large beam from his BFS for the neutral special.

    Sado "Chad" Yasutora

Chad

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chad_mrnope.png
Debut: Volume 1 - Chapter 7 (Manga), Episode 2 (Anime)
Crusade Mod Creator: MrNope

  • Ambidextrous Sprite: As the translated name of his prominent armored limb suggests, it's suppose to be on his right arm. But because of his sprite, it changes to his left arm whenever he faces to the respective direction.
  • Combo Breaker: Using down special, Chad enters a limited stance to reinforce the armor in his arm to block attacks, making him take only 1% of damage in total while making him Immune to Flinching.
  • Energy Weapon: His "Right Arm of the Giant", which serves as both a melee and ranged energy weapon. With it, Chad can charge forward fist-first with the side special, Shoryuken for the up special, and fire energy blast projectiles for the neutral special.
  • Ground Punch: With his armored fist, Chad punches the ground for several attacks, most causing a shockwave (one of which propels him off the ground), while one causes a burst of energy to erupt from the ground.
  • Power Fist: Upon starting the battle, Chad manifests his Fullbring power by forming the "Right Arm of the Giant" on his respective arm, which serves as the catalyst for most of his moves. He also manifests the "Left Arm of the Devil" as part of his Final Smash.

Dragon Ball

    In General
  • Adaptational Wimp: Downplayed. Because most of them are normally superpowered entities fighting against comparatively weaker fighters on (mostly) equal ground, they are naturally gonna be weaker in terms of power scaling.
  • Ki Manipulation: Par for the course for the home franchise being the Trope Codifier, the cast naturally having many associated tropes: from Kamehamehas, to Energy Balls and levitation. The only exception is Android 16, due to strictly being a machine who doesn't possess life energy, at most having equivalents in the form of Wave-Motion Gun and Hand Blasts.

    Gohan
Character Mod Creator: Rugion

Goku's elder son.

  • Dash Attack: His Side-B is Burst Rush, having him dash forward. Should the attack land, he does a combo leading to a Meteor Move.
  • Flight: Has generic upward Bukujutsu for his Up-B.
  • Ki Manipulation: Normally, his neutral-B is the Masenko he learned from Piccolo. In Potential Unleashed state, he swaps it out for his father's signature Kamehameha.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Uses his Machine Gun Kick from FighterZ for his forawrd-aerial.
  • Super Mode: His Potential Unleashed state originally earned from Elder Kai, which surrounds him with a white Battle Aura and powers up his attacks. It can be activated by building meter on a down-B input, automatically starting once it is full.

    Tenshinhan (Tien Shinhan)
Character Mod Creator: MrNope

The three-eyed star student of the Crane School of martial arts, who became a rival-turned-friend of Goku.

  • Blinded by the Light: Uses Solar Flare for his Down-B, stunning the opponent for a follow-up attack.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Uses his Kikoho/Tri-Beam for his neutral-B. True to form, it's a wide-reaching, powerful kill move, but it deals self-damage (15%) on each use, and should his damage be too high (around 120%), he falls dead on the spot.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: Duplicates himself with Multi-Form for his up and down throws.
  • Energy Ball: Throws a basic ki ball for his Side-B. It can be charged for more damage.
  • Multi-Armed and Dangerous: Uses the Four Witches technique to temporarily grow two more arms to deliver Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs for his forward-Smash.

    Yamcha

Yamcha

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sato_yamcha.png
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

A former Desert Bandit who was Goku's first rival, shortly afterwards becoming one of his friends.

  • Charged Attack: Yamcha's Kamehameha technique is executed in this manner: little to no charge firing a small, short-ranged beam, while a full charge gives a larger, long-ranged beam that travels across the stage.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: If a foe is within a certain radius of Yamcha as he unleashes his forward smash, he'll teleport over to them (oftentimes behind) to attack them with his Roundhouse Kick.
  • Player-Guided Missile: His down special, manipulating a ball of ki to move it around via player input; capable of exploding upon command as well.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Down air is a variant with Yamcha using his feet, rapidly kicking at a downward angle.

    Trunks
Character Mod Creator: Nicolas Brown

Vegeta and Bulma's son from an alternate Bad Future.

  • Blade Spam: Delivers a rapid series of sword stabs for his forward-Smash.
  • Flight: Flies in a given direction surrounded in ki for his Up-B.
  • Golden Super Mode: Can build energy to transform into a Super Saiyan for his Down-B, activating when it's full and powering up his attacks.
  • Ki Manipulation: Fires a series of small ki blasts with his neutral-B (holding down B shoots more). His Side-B can either be a short-ranged wave or a powerful projectile depending of if it's charged.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Part of his jab, though it cannot be held down continuously and functions as the second attack in the series.
  • Sword and Fist: Incorporates a healthy mix of sword strikes and hand-to-hand brawling in his fighting style.

    Frieza

Frieza

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/friezaagent5.png
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5

  • Charged Attack:
    • Two of his smash attacks in his base form are tweaked if the attack is charged; forward smash's Death Ball growing in size, and up smashes energy blasts tripling if fully charged.
    • Neutral special is his Death Beam, which can be multiple lasers fired at once if charged.
    • Up special has its charge distance affected how long the button is held down, with the full charge sending Frieza high up close to the blast zone. This results in some problems for Frieza if it isn't charged at all, as merely tapping the input results in Frieza ascending very slowly and only a short distance unless he's in his Golden form.
  • Counter-Attack: Down special, with Frieza responding to an attacker by slapping them away with his tail. For his Golden Super Mode, he dodges the attack by teleporting behind then zapping the attacker with many volts of electricity.
  • Deadly Disc: His Death Saucers for the Side Special, an energy-based variant. And like in FighterZ, this move can return to potentially hit Frieza.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Down smash has Frieza pull up telekinetically-lifted rocks to send forward.
  • Eye Beams: Exclusive to Golden Frieza, up tilt has him fire an upward-aimed energy blast from his eyes.
  • Multi-Directional Barrage: His neutral special becomes this for Golden Frieza, firing multiple Death Beams from his hands on both sides.
  • Secret Character: Complete Classic mode with Goku on Very Hard difficulty.
  • Super Form: Upon filling the meter, inputting A+B transforms him into Golden Frieza, buffing his moveset and altering his specials.

    Cooler
Character Mod Creator: Manndarin

Frieza's older brother from the Non Serial Movies.

  • Diving Kick: Performs one for his down-aerial. It's unique in that it drags the opponent down with it, and Cooler performs a follow-up depending on whether they land on the ground or not; if in the air, Cooler kicks them away, but on the ground, he follows with another diving kick.
  • Grapple Move: Has two for his Side-B: Death Crasher on the ground and Death Catcher. Both have him rush towards the opponent to grab, and the former has him slam the opponent into the ground, burying them while the latter has him do a meteor combination ending with a Death Beam.
  • Ground-Shattering Landing: If he lands on the ground with his Down-B, Nova Chariot, it temporarily leaves a crater in the ground.
  • Hammered into the Ground: If he manages to hit an opponent into the ground with Death Crasher or Nova Chariot, it results in them being buried.
  • Hand Blast: His Neutral-B, Death Beam, is similar to Frieza's, but it is very laggy and deals no knockback. However, it deals a whopping 25% damage if it connects.
  • Mighty Glacier: To contrast Frieza's agility, Cooler is much slower, but has brutal, powerful attacks to make up for it.

    Cell
Character Mod Creator: Mp3 Toaster

The Ultimate Life Form built by Dr. Gero from the DNA of Saiyans, Namekians, and Frieza's clan.

  • Area of Effect: Emits a massive Energy Field for his Down-B, though it requires a slow wind-up.
  • Energy Ball: Fire one to the side for his forward-Smash and diagonally upward for his up-Smash.
  • Hand Blast: Has his own variant of Death Beam inherited from Frieza, which has a long startup but deals decent damage over a long range.
  • Meteor Move: Uses a two-hit Perfect Combination for his Side-B, dashing forwards, launching an opponent, then finishing by hitting them downwards.
  • Telekinesis: Uses the Psycho Crash, which he used to build the Cell Games Arena, for his down throw, holding and slashing an opponent with his telekinesis.
  • Teleportation: Uses the Instant Transmission learned from Goku for his Up-B.

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure

    In General

    Jonathan Joestar
Character Mod Creator: Manndarin

The gentlemanly patriarch of the Joestar clan and a prodigy of Hamon.

    Joseph Joestar

Joseph Joestar (BT)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/josephbt.png

The grandson of Jonathan Joestar, a master of using Hamon in tricky ways.

    DIO
Character Mod Creator: CloudStrifeHero

Jonathan's foster brother turned vampire responsible for all the misfortune upon the Joestars in the original timeline.

  • Eye Beams: Uses Space Ripper Stingy Eyes for his Side-B, acting as a weak yet fast projectile.
  • Fighting Spirit: Brings his Stand, The World, to bear. He is able to summon or recall it with Down-B for different moves.
  • Flechette Storm: Throws a large number of knives for his neutral-B without The World.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Has quite a collection of these moves.
    • His Down Smash without The World has him deliver a flurry of kicks. With The World active, it does this instead of DIO.
    • His neutral-B with The World is a massive rush of punches.
    • His side-B with The World has DIO send it out to deliver a flurry of kicks at a distance.
  • Stance System: DIO operates this way, being able to summon The World with Down-B to perform different attacks from his default state.
  • Teleportation: Appears to do this for his Up-B with or without The World, though in reality DIO is just moving through stopped time.
  • Time Stands Still: Naturally, his Final Smash has him stop time with The World. Should Up-B be input during this state, he'll drop a steamroller on the stage to finish the time stop.

    Josuke Higashikata

Josuke

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/josuke_5.png
Crusade Mod Creator: MashMan

Joseph Joestar's son from an affair, who has grown up as an otherwise Ordinary High-School Student.

  • Dishing Out Dirt: His Ground Punch down special creates a large rock that serves as an impassable obstacle.
  • Ground Punch: Down special; his Stand punching at a downward angle, hitting the ground to conjure a large rock and bury the foe into the ground. Doubles as a Meteor Move on midair opponents.
  • Hammered into the Ground: The result of getting hit by the Ground Punch point-blank: the victim getting the bury status.
  • Not Quite Flight: Leviates off the ground by riding a telekinetically-lifted pipe for the up special.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Crazy Diamond's specialty, with it being put to use in, appropriately enough, Josuke's rapid-jab.
  • Secret Character: Beat the challenge "Joestar Generations".

    Yoshikage Kira

Kira

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kiraagent5.png
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5

A hand-obsessed Serial Killer responsible for many deaths of women in Morioh town.

  • Action Bomb: Sheer Heart Attack, a miniature tank spawned from down special, which travels across the stage autonomously until a foe gets close, after which it leaps after them to explode.
  • Explosion Propulsion: One use of Killer Queen's ability is to cause the area beneath Kira to blow up, sending him flying upwards.
  • Having a Blast: The Killer Queen's ability, which is naturally featured throughout; all of his specials have an explosion happen in some fashion, including neutral special imbuing the target with enough energy to explode on command.
  • Secret Character: Play a versus match that has Josuke and Snake in it on Onett (Snake's explosive-centric fighting style is a parallel for Killer Queen's explosion powers, and Onett a stand-in for Morioh).

Naruto

    Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/naruto.png
Crusade Mod Creator: OcarinaofTime

  • Diving Kick: with the ability to spike the foe at the start of the move.
  • Doppelgänger Attack: Naruto's Signature Attack Shadow Clone Jutsu, spawning clones to assist him in several ways. Including as a living springboard to send Naruto upwards, and spawning from high above to fall onto foes below.
  • Energy Ball: His Rasengan technique, charging up an elemental ball with the aid of a shadow clone to unleash it as a stationary energy attack.
  • Grievous Harm with a Body: Spawns a shadow clone from high above for the down special with the sole purpose of them crashing into an enemy below. The shadow clone he springs off for the up special also doubles as this.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: Throws out either a shuriken or a kunai of two different types each for the side special.

    Sasuke Uchiha
Character Mod Creator: Nicolas Brown

One of the last members of the Uchiha clan and Naruto's Rival Turned Evil, he desires nothing more than the power to avenge the massacre of his family.

  • Facepalm of Doom: The uncharged form of his neutral-B is the traditional Chidori, acting as a Grapple Move where he rushes forward and blasting lightning into the opponent point-blank.
  • Fighting Spirit: With Mangekyo Sharingan active, he can summon Susanoo. Sasuke summons individual arms for his Smash Attacks and the whole body for his Down-B to fire an Amaterasu arrow.
  • Playing with Fire:
    • Uses his clan's signature Fireball Jutsu for his side-B, where after a long wind-up, he shoots a large, powerful Fireball forward.
    • With his Mangekyo Sharingan active, his neutral-B becomes Amaterasu, letting him aim a crosshair with his eye then releasing black flames should any opponent enter it.
  • Shaping Your Attacks: By charging his neutral-B further, his Chidori is shaped into different variants.
    • A short charge turns into a Chidori Senbon, which acts as a projectile.
    • A longer charge turns into the Chidori Sharp Spear, a very long-ranged melee attack that can kill.
  • Shock and Awe: Uses the Chidori learned from Kakashi as the basis of several of his moves, including a whole Chidori Current for his down-Smash, the Chidori Katana for his forward-tilt, and three-different variants for his neutral-B based on charge.
  • Spell Blade: Channels the Chidori through his sword for his forward-tilt.
  • Summon Magic: Summons the snake Aoda for his up-Smash.
  • Super Mode: By gathering Chakra and filling his meter, Sasuke can activate his Mangekyo Sharingan, altering his Smash Attacks
  • Sword and Fist: Sasuke is proficient in both kenjutsu and taijutsu, incorporating hand-to-hand combat and his sword into his normals.

    Kakashi Hatake
The leader and mentor of Team 7 to which Naruto belongs.
  • Ass Shove: Uses his infamous One Thousand Years of Death kancho for his back throw.
  • Attack Animal: Summons his pack of dogs for his down-B. Should all hits connect, Kakashi follows up by vanishing and attacking with an uppercut.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Summons an Earth Wall for his Down Smash.
  • Making a Splash: Creates a small whirlpool of water in front of him for his Forward Smash.
  • Shock and Awe: Uses the Raikiri, the original form of the Chidori he created, for his neutral-B. If charged fully it becomes the Raiju Tsuiga, a lightning projectile shaped like a dog.
  • Smoke Out: Uses smoke to vanish and reappear upwards for his Up-B. If an opponent is hit with the initial smoke, they become dizzy and stuned.
  • Stock Ninja Weaponry: Uses a kunai for a few of his normals and several diferent shuriken for his Side-B, which randomly spawn and fan out with different effects.

    Itachi Uchiha
Character Mod Creator: Nicolas Brown

Sasuke's older brother, responsible for the massacre of their clan and a member of the Akatsuki.

  • Clever Crows: Summons his crows for his Side-B (which is replaced by a spray of fire as it cools down), and replaces himself with his crows for his Up-B recovery.
  • Fighting Spirit: With Mangekyo Sharingan active, his down-B lets him summon Susanoo, which then throws a Yasaka Magatama.
  • Playing with Fire: Incorporates Fire Release into several of his attacks. His Neutral-B has him either shoot his clan's Great Fireball Jutsu either as a single fireball or, when charged, a stream of fire. His Side-B can also shoot a spray of small fireballs should his crows be unavailable.
  • Super Mode: He can charge his chakra meter for his Down-B, and when full, can activate his Mangekyo Sharingan, altering his neutral-B, side-B, and down-B.
  • Technicolor Fire: With his Mangekyo Sharingan active, his neutral-B is Amaterasu, letting him ignite an area with black fire in its crosshair.

Saint Seiya

    Pegasus Seiya

Seiya

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/seiya_8.png
Crusade Mod Creator: Manndarin

  • Counter-Attack: While the Elemental Barrier down special is functionally a more traditional attack, it also doubles as this due the Immune to Flinching properties of the move, allowing Seiya to challenge opposing attacks with it.
  • Energy Bow: Conjures a golden bow for his Final Smash.
  • Ground Punch: Strikes the ground with his fist for the down smash, causing a short shockwave around himself on impact.
  • Limit Break: With a Super Move Portrait flashing onscreen, Seiya changes into his Golden Super Mode and equips his Energy Bow, firing a golden arrow to strike any foe in the way.
  • Spread Shot: A short-ranged variant with his neutral special, rapidly firing multiple energy particles in a spread.
  • Stock Audio Clip: While many fighters are a case of this trope, Seiya is a blatant example due to the lack of audio mixing for his voice samples ripped straight from his Anime, resulting in sound effects in the background of each voice-clip overloading the audio, especially in his forward smash.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: The energy side special can knock the foe towards the user, allowing Seiya to potentially follow up

    Phoenix Ikki

Ikki

Crusade Mod Creator: Manndarin

Others

    Chopper

Tony Tony Chopper (pre-timeskip/post-timeskip)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chopper_8.png
Pre-timeskip
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chopper2.png
Post-timeskip
Home Series: One Piece
Debut: Chapter 134 (Manga), Episode 81 (Anime)
Crusade Mod Creator: CloudStrifeHero

  • Gameplay and Story Integration: His Final Smash, Monster Point, functions differently between the two forms - the default version being uncontrollable, while the timeskip version is. As established in the Manga/Anime, the Monster Point prior to the timeskip was an uncontrollable beast that sacrificed Chopper's mind in favor of attacking relentlessly, while in the timeskip, Chopper managed to gain proper control of the form to retain his volition and use it more effectively.
  • Immune to Flinching: Changing to his Guard Point renders him able to tank attacks in this manner.
  • Limit Break: For the Final Smash, Chopper changes into his Monster Point form to rampage, slamming his hands into the ground in front of him. Pre-timeskip, the form is uncontrollable; relentlessly attacking while moving forward until the attack duration ends or Chopper shambles into the blast zone. Post-timeskip, the form is directly controllable, allowing the player to move Chopper around and attack until the Final Smash concludes.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifter: Being a user of the Zoan Devil Fruit, Chopper can change into a variety of forms (Brain Point, Walk Point, Heavy Point, etc) on the fly, with it naturally tieing into his fighting style for the moveset.

Exclusive to Pre-timeskip:

  • Ground Punch: For down smash, Chopper slams the ground with both fists in Arm Point form.
  • In a Single Bound: Up special makes Chopper change into Jumping Point to leap up, to the point of reaching the blast zone if used
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: "Cherry Blossom Blizzard", his ultimate technique for his Arm Point form, is featured as his down special.
  • Throw Down the Bomblet: Tosses a stick of dynamite that explodes on contact for down air.

Exclusive to Post-timeskip:

  • Pragmatic Adaptation: In canon, Monster Point in the post-timeskip is limited by remaining active for three minutes and putting Chopper in a conked-out state for hours on end. Here, the time limit is much shorter, and only knocks Chopper out briefly before he continues the fight.
  • Unnecessary Combat Roll: Rolls forward across the ground as Kung Fu Point to attack behind him for the grounded down special.
