A Certain Magical Index (including its spin-offs)

    Mikoto Misaka

Mikoto

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/misaka.png
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 1 (light novel, 2004)
Video Game Debut: Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus (Nintendo DS, 2009)
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

  • Difficult, but Awesome: Being a combo-centric character who's moves generally do minimal damage unless they're smash attacks, Mikoto's naturally gonna require figuring out the right combos without room for error to get the most out of her. But done right, she can rack up a lot of damage and put lots of pressure onto her foes.
  • Extra-ore-dinary: Her power over electricity can allow her to manipulate metal by proxy of her magnetic control, with her doing so to create a Whip Sword made of iron sand and throw around large girders.
  • Ground Punch: The down tilt and down smash has Mikoto slam the ground to cause a miniature quake.
  • Limit Break: Above her percentage is a meter, which charges for each attack that lands on an opponent, with a max meter giving her a charge that she uses for her A+B move.
    • Level one: conjuring her iron sand Whip Sword, she rapidly slashes forward.
    • Level two: casts multiple electromagnetic tornadoes (with rock debris).
    • Level three, which is also her Final Smash: with an arcade token in hand, she creates a large burst of electricity from the palm of her outstretched hand.
  • Not Quite Flight: Using her electro-magnetic powers, Mikoto gathers building debris to act as a controllable platform for the up special.
  • Secret Character: Complete the "Pipe Maze" challenge while collecting the Super Mario Bros. 3 Frog Suit hidden in it during a run, thereby catching her attention because she loves cute frogs.
  • Shock and Awe: By the nature of being an Electromaster, an esper with the ability to manipulate electricity, Mikoto can use said power in a variety of ways, including controlling metal objects. In typical application of the power, Mikoto casts jolts of electricity for the neutral special, and calls upon a lightning strike for the up smash.
  • Tsundere: Is grouped alongside Shana and Taiga as the tsundere trio of the "Dengeki Heroines" Challenge, though while she's not as straightforward an archetype as the other two, it's still prevalent in canon regarding her feelings towards Touma.
  • Vengeful Vending Machine: Weaponized in her forward smash, in reference to the same vending machine that took her ten thousand yen note while not giving anything in return, prompting her to take vengeance against it in the same manner as depicted here.

    Accelerator

Accelerator

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/accel_5.png
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 3 (light novel, 2004)
Video Game Debut: Dengeki Gakuen RPG: Cross of Venus (Nintendo DS, 2009)
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

  • Double Jump: When Last Order is active, he gains the ability to jump fives times in total, in contrast to the standard two.
  • Energy Ball: Using A+B while Last Order is active results in him casting a ball of electricity that slowly traverse the stage.
  • Ground Punch: Accelerator strikes the ground to create a shockwave for several moves of varying execution and strengths; with his cane for the down tilt, his foot for the down smash, and his actual fist for the down special.
  • Sand Blaster: His forward smash has him cast a wave of sand.
  • Status Buff: A passive variant in his Last Order meter, which empties or fills base on whether the stat buff is in effect. Upon the meter filling up, he'll enter a buffed state that increases his stats and capabilities. Consequently, if the meter fully depletes, he'll suddenly get inflicted with a dizzy status on the ground or put into freefall in the air, leaving him in a disadvantaged state.
  • Tornado Move: With a wave of his hand, Accelerator casts a tornado of Razor Winds in front for the up smash.
  • You Will Not Evade Me: Inverted. Accelerator's neutral special while in his charging state results in him casting an invisible force field to force foes away from him.

    Kuroko Shirai

Kuroko

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sato_kuroko.png
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 3 (light novel, 2004)
Video Game Debut: A Certain Magical Index (PlayStation Portable, 2011)
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

    Motoharu Tsuchimikado

Motoharu

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sato_tsu.png
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 4 (light novel, 2004)
Video Game Debut: A Certain Magical Index (PlayStation Portable, 2011)
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

  • Making a Splash: Weaponizes the water element for two attacks; casting a splash of water for the back air and shooting a water shuriken for the side special.
  • Moveset Clone: Of Train, another character made by the same author. Tsuchimikado shares a good majority of Train's attacks and animations; he uses the same type of gun that fires projectile bullets and a burst of compressed air, throws a bomb with the same shrug animation, and even has his own equivalent Assist Characters for the forward and down throw.
  • Pistol-Whipping: Swings his pistol as a makeshift melee for the side tilt and down smash.
  • Unnecessary Combat Roll: The first half of his Dash Attack, front-flipping before firing off a bullet upon landing.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: Fires a large beam from his gun for the Final Smash.

    Shizuri Mugino

Mugino

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sato_mugino.png
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 15 (light novel, 2008)
Video Game Debut: A Certain Magical Index (PlayStation Portable, 2011)
Crusade Mod Creator: Jio_Inzagi

  • Adaptational Badass: In her home series, Mugino's powers suffer from a lack of Required Secondary Powers, as she doesn't have the capacity to endure her own attacks in close approximity without drawback, especially if she gets careless and hits herself with them. Here, in part thanks to Set Swords to "Stun" being in effect, she's able to take all manners of similar punishment to and be a lot less worse for wear, with her own lasers only being an issue when dealing with Attack Reflectors.
  • Barrier Warrior: Creates shields of energy for the down special, acting as stationary attacks that negate projectiles.
  • Beam Spam: With the specialized silicon cards spawned from side special, her Energy Weapon beams multiply into a wide Spread Shot.
  • Energy Weapon: Aside from good old hand-to-hand combat, her primary ability is firing lasers via neutral special.
  • Recoil Boost: With an energy blast below, she can propel herself for the up special.
  • Wave-Motion Gun: In addition to the various energy beams she uses throughout, her Final Smash ends on one large beam aimed upward.

    Misaka 10032

Misaka 10032

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/10032_cogu.png
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/misaka10032.png
An alternate render of 10032 that sometimes appears on the main menu.
Debut: A Certain Magical Index - volume 3 (light novel, 2004)
Crusade Mod Creator: Manndarin

The 10032nd Misaka clone in the Radio Noise project, nicknamed "Misaka Imouto" by Touma.

  • Doppleganger Attack: Summons another Misaka clone in her Neutral Special, either throwing a cluster of electric bombs or charging forward to stun foes on hit.
  • Goggles Do Something Unusual: Mikoto's clones aren't as strong as the original when it comes to their Electromaster powers, so they're equipped with special goggles to allow them to properly use their ability. She demonstrates this blatantly with down tilt, firing a spark of electricity from the headset forward.
  • Grapple Move: Their Dash Attack, grabbing the foe to deliver multiple shocks to them.
  • Me's a Crowd: Their Final Smash starts off with them flanked by multiple Misaka clones.
  • Multi-Ranged Master: Equipped multiple firearms in her moveset, including a standard pistol and a machine gun that doubles as a Grenade Launcher.
  • Recoil Boost: Fires a rocket launcher downward to propel themselves upward.
  • Secret Character: Complete 100-Man Crusade with Accelerator.

Marvel Universe

    Spider-Man

Spider-Man

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/spiderman_7.png
Debut: Amazing Fantasy #15 (comic book, 1962)
Video Game Debut: Spider-Man (Atari 2600, 1988)
Nintendo Debut: The Amazing Spider-Man (Game Boy, 1990)
Crusade Mod Creator: Mp3 Toaster
Character Mod Origin: Marvel Super Heroes (1995)

  • Projectile Webbing: Spider-Man's most well known ability is his web-shooters, which is naturally featured here as part of his fighting style. His neutral special has him fire a glob of silk that'll get the foe All Webbed Up if they're hit, his side special has him conjure as a self-slingshot, and his Z-air fires a webbing rope in the chosen direction to Building Swing.
  • Shotoclone: This incarnation of Spidey is directly based on his Marvel vs. Capcom self, where he was one. The one twist is that the Web Swing, his Hurricane Kick counterpart there, is a sub-function of his Z-air tether recovery in CMC+. In place, for his forward special he has a more practical self-slingshot dropkick.
  • Mythology Gag: One of his Speech Bubble lines is him quoting the second line of the Title Theme Tune of Spider-Man (1967).
  • Shout-Out: Has palette swaps inspired by Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and either the Hulk or the Green Goblin.
  • Trash Talk: He's practically the king of this trope in the Marvel Universe, outside the likes of Deadpool. Taunting as him results in speaking comic book Speech Bubbles with lines like "LOSEEEEER!" and "DUDE, YOU SUCK!"

    Thor
The Marvel Universe version of the Norse God of Thunder and one of the founders of The Avengers.
  • Field Power Effect: Summons a rainstorm with Mjolnir for his down-B, which powers up his forward Smash, neutral-B, and side-B. It has a long cooldown in between uses to prevent continuous activation.
  • Shock and Awe: Mjolnir has the ability to control lightning, and Thor uses it to shoot a large bolt of lightning for his neutral-B.
  • Throwing Your Sword Always Works: Throws Mjolnir forward for his grounded Side-B, which he then recalls back to him.
  • Weapon Twirling: Has a habit of twirling Mjolnir around, such as when he runs and when he uses his Up-B.

    Wolverine
Character Sprite Origin: X-Men: Children of the Atom

James "Logan" Howlett, a rebellious, clawed mutant who is one of the X-Men's perennial members.

  • Awesome, but Impractical: He can't jump out of or after his side-B, plus his neutral-B puts him in helpless fall. This makes these two moves rather impractical for smaller "competitive" stages like Final Destination or Battlefield.
  • Blade Spam: Berserker Barrage for his side-B, where he dashes forward while rapidly slashing his claws.
  • Close-Range Combatant: He has no projectiles to speak of, plus his claws don't extent much from his body. His speed and power make up for it.
  • Healing Factor: Activates this for his down-B, which lets him heal some damage over time. It has a slight cooldown between uses to prevent spamming.
  • Shoryuken: Tornado Claw for his up-B, a leaping, spinning uppercut with his claw.
  • This Is a Drill: Uses Drill Claw for his neutral-B, dashing forward in a spinning drill motion with his claw out in front.
  • Wolverine Claws: He is the Trope Namer after all, bringing his natural Adamantium-coated claws to battle.

    Dr. Doom
Character Sprite Origin: Marvel Super Heroes

Victor von Doom, a scientific and magical genius who rules Latveria and the Arch-Enemy of the Fantastic Four.

  • Diving Kick: His infamous Foot Dive is his down-aerial, sending him diagonally downards with both feet outstretched.
  • Jet Pack: Uses jets on his back and boots to move around for his dash and aerial jump.
  • Kamehame Hadoken: Uses Plasma Beam for his side-B, shooting a long wave of energy forward.
  • Macross Missile Massacre: Uses Hidden Missiles for his down-B, sending out up to ten missiles that can be used for zoning and edgeguarding alike.
  • Spread Shot: His neutral-B is Photon Shot, sending two wide spreads of projectiles to either side of him. Needless to say, getting past them is a major challenge for opponents.
  • Teleportation: Straightforwardly teleports for his Up-B, which goes a long distance and gives him deceptively good mobility.

    Shuma-Gorath

Shuma-Gorath

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shuma_4.png
Debut: Marvel Premiere #10 (comic book, 1973)
Video Game Debut: Marvel Super Heroes (Arcade, 1995)
Nintendo Debut: Doctor Strange (Digital Pinball Table for Pinball FX2, Wii U, 2013)
Crusade Mod Creator: Mp3 Toaster
Character Mod Origin: Marvel Super Heroes (1995)

  • Badass Armfold: Pulls this off with his tentacle limbs in his taunt, and in a very smug manner as well.
  • Charged Attack: Their Eye Beam neutral special. Merely tapping the button results in a simple beam straight forward, while charging it a bit will have Shuma fire the beam from low to high; fully charged results in him doing the prior mentioned action twice in quick succession.
  • Combat Tentacles: Being a tentacle monster in his primary appearance, this is his main method of attacking.
  • Eldritch Abomination: They're a "Great Old One" demon who's primary appearance consists of one big eye and multiple tentacles, with the capability of shifting their form in a variety of manners for its attacks.
  • Eye Beams: Fires blasts from his singular eye for the up and down airs, down smash, and the neutral special.
  • Secret Character: Defeat Apocalypse in Challenge mode.

One-Punch Man

    Genos

Genos

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/agent5genos.png
Debut: One-Punch Man - chapter 5 (webcomic)
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5

  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Underneath Genos' arm is a combat knife, which he pulls out for his side tilt, dash attack and rapid jab.
  • Hand Blast: Geno has blasters on the palms of his hands that shoots energy blasts, with him having a long-ranged projectile variant for the neutral special, and multiple close-ranged blasts for several normals.
  • Jet Pack: He's has one built into his backside, with him naturally using it to ascend via double jump and up special, but also using it to propel himself forward and downward for the respective aerials.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: Performs the Machine Gun Blow, a series of incredibly fast punches, for his rapid jab, neutral air, and down special.
  • Recoil Boost: His Hand Blast attacks have a tendency to push him back, with up air in particular doubling as a way to send Genos to the ground faster.
  • Rocket Punch: Shoots one of his fists for the forward smash, with it returning via attached cable.

    Mumen Rider

Mumen Rider

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mumenrideragent5.png
Debut: One-Punch Man - chapter 12 (webcomic)
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5

  • Ascended Extra: From the April Fools build of CMC+ before getting included here.
  • Cast from Hit Points: Exaggerated. After landing his powerful 80% Final Smash, he takes 999% of damage in return. Add in the fact the Final Smash doesn't launch the foe at all and Mumen Rider falls to the ground vulnerable, that means he's effectively dead.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Throws his bicycle for the neutral special.
  • Joke Character: Perhaps to be expected from a character who originates from an April Fools build of CMC+; whatever kill move he has is impractical at its best, his forward smash is useless as a forward-facing strong attack, most of his normals are piddly when it comes to damage, and most of his specials all require the use of his bicycle — which can easily leave him without a recovery move. To top it all off, his Final Smash, while dealing a solid 80% of damage in one hit, leaves Mumen Rider with his percentage maxed out and him crumpled on the floor — and considering the move also doesn't launch the foe, he's easy picking afterwards.

Puella Magi Madoka Magica

    Sayaka Miki

Sayaka

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sayaka_dg.png
Debut: Puella Magi Madoka Magica - episode 1 (anime, 2011)
Crusade Mod Creator: S.D Mods
Character Mod Origin: otz-kai (M.U.G.E.N)

Scott Pilgrim

    Scott Pilgrim

Scott Pilgrim

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/scott_88.png
Debut: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (comic book, 2004)
Crusade Mod Creator: CheezyNivs

The dull-witted, unemployed, slacker hero who's the best fighter in the province. In V7, Scott had two movesets to choose from, with the alternate one labelled "Crazy" removed in V8.

  • Counter-Attack: In both movesets, down special is a counter move that leaves the opponent stunned; the normal Scott leaves the foe rotating in place, while "Crazy" Scott's counter leaves them dizzy.
  • Hurricane Kick: Like Ryu, his side special is the spinning kick. Unlike Ryu, it has no momentum when used on the ground, and it cannot do any flinching or launching, but compensates with raw damage on each indivdual hit. "Crazy" Scott also has the move as his down smash.
  • The Power of Rock: "Crazy" Scott's neutral special, rocking out with enough soundwave force to hurt anyone at close-range. It does leave Scott briefly tired upon ending the move.
  • Shotoclone: Scott's default moveset is almost this, being a generally straightforward to use while having the same special moves as Ryu in Smash, including the Hurricane Kick, the rising uppercut, and a Counter-Attack that leaves the foe stunned. The Kamehame Hadoken is a technical exception to the movelist; an energy beam does appear, but only as a beam behind Scott and not a projectile.
  • Your Size May Vary: Depending on which moveset you play, Scott could be equal in terms of height with Ryu by default, or a head shorter than him if the alternate moveset is chosen.

    Ramona Flowers

Ramona

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ptbravo_ramona.png
Debut: Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life (comic book, 2004)
Crusade Mod Creator: PTBravo

  • Counter-Attack: A standard counter move down special. If she gets hit by an opponent, her angel self appears and retaliates with a double punch.
  • Diving Kick: Like Scott before her, she can quickly dive towards the ground feet-first ablaze. Though unlike Scott's variant, her's pops foes upward upon contact, in addition to being
  • Handbag of Hurt: Swings her handbag out in a spinning motion for the down smash.
  • Secret Character: Complete Scott's Arcade mode.
  • Teleportation: Two instances of teleporting:
    • For the neutral special, Ramona points straight ahead. If a foe is within range of the finger point, Ramona immediately teleports next to the foe with no endlag, allowing her to act immediately.
    • For the up special, Ramona gets into her Bag of Holding to warp elsewhere in standard teleportation move fashion.

Shakugan no Shana

    Shana

Shana

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shana_2.png
Debut: Shakugan no Shana - volume 1 (light novel, 2002)
Video Game Debut: Shakugan no Shana (PlayStation 2, 2006)
Nintendo Debut: Shakugan no Shana (Nintendo DS, 2006)

  • Death from Above: Similar to Incineroar's up special (even using the same sound clip), Shana's up special launches her upwards before just as quickly diving downwards in flames, exploding upon hitting the ground. It's also a similarly risky move for Shana; if she uses the move offstage, she's gonna lose a stock.
  • Grapple Move: Down special, doubling as a Charged Attack. Upon unleashing the attack with a foe in range, Shana grasps them in a fiery grip, dealing damage influenced by the charge-up beforehand.
  • Playing with Fire: She's a Flame Haze, a very powerful one at that too, who uses the fire element for fighting.
  • Sword Beam: A flaming beam cast from her sword for the neutral special.
  • Tsundere: She's one of the defining "tsun-tsun" characters of the Dengeki Bunko publishing company, which is reflected in the Challenge Dengeki Heroines, putting her alongside fellow archetypes Mikoto and Taiga.

Others

    Barack Obama

Barack Obama

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/necoarcnrvnqsrchaosbyathorment.png
Crusade Mod Creator: Agent_5
Character Mod Origin: Obama note  (Rivals of Aether Workshop)

The 44th President of the United States, now playable in a Platform Fighter where he can punch and shoot a bunch of video game (or even non-video game) characters in the face. Just another day in the Weird Crossover that is CMC+.

See Barack Obama's Useful Notes page for information pertaining to the real-life person.

  • Action Politician: What else would you expect from a US president being playable in a fighting game?
  • Airplane Arms: His dashing animation, outstretching his arms as he runs.
  • Badass Armfold: Does this in his walking animation.
  • Eagleland: Nothing more patriotic in combat than wielding the flag of the United States as a staff.
  • Home Stage: The Christ the Redeemer statue found in Rio de Janeiro.
  • Hyperspace Arsenal: Brandishes a pistol, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, a rocket launcher, grenades and the American flag in combat.
  • Leitmotif: Obamium Fusion Core.note
  • Rocket Jump: For his down air, he uses a rocket launch to create an explosion right below him, recoiling him upwards.
  • Secret Character: In V7, complete the "Pipe Maze" challenge while collecting the Obama token hidden in it during a run. So well hidden that the only character able to get it is Lilina with her up special's ability to go through walls.
  • Shout-Out:

    Mai Tokiha

Mai Tokiha

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ciel_maitokiha.png
Home Series: My-HiME
Debut: My-Hime - episode 1 (anime, 2004)
Video Game Debut: My-Hime: Unmei no Keitouju (PlayStation 2, 2005)
Crusade Mod Creator: Cielbami
Character Mod Origin: Fuuka-Taisen (Fan Game, 2008)

  • Diving Kick: Down special, when used in the air, results in Mai propelling herself downward, blazing feet first.
  • Fireballs: Neutral special has Mai cast these forward, with the resulting ball of fire taking on two variations depending on if the button is tapped or held: tapping results in one-to-three fast projectiles at a time, while holding it results in a large, slow-moving, multi-hitting projectile.
  • Playing with Fire: Courtesy of the magatama rings around her wrists and ankles, she largely attacks with fire conjured around her. The only few moves where she doesn't utilize fire is the first hit of her jab, her Slide Attack down tilt, dash attack, and neutral air.
  • Meteor Move: Down Air is forward flipping, flaming kick with a sweet and sour spot
  • Secret Character: Complete the challenge "Sealed Guardian."
  • Slide Attack: Performs a sliding kick that propels her forward for the down tilt.

    Mr. Incredible

Mr. Incredible

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ptbravo_incredible.png
Home Series: The Incredibles
Debut: The Incredibles (film, 2004)
Crusade Mod Creator: PTBravo

The Super-Strength father of the Incredibles family. Previously debuting in the first Super Smash Flash, he would have his role as a Smash Bros fighter reinstated with his inclusion in CMC+, same/similar sprites and all.

  • Artificial Stupidity: For AI Mr. Incredible, upon using their Rolling Attack special, he'll charge up... and stay that way until another fighter snaps him out of it.
  • Air-Dashing: His forward aerial shoulder-check propels him forward, doubling as an offensive air movement.
  • Ground Pound: Leaps up and slams the ground for both the smash and special variants of the down inputs, the former burying the foe caught underneath and the latter simply launching foes away.
  • Limited Animation: Being a GameBoy Advanced sprite rip, he naturally has some recycled animations, such as his two punching animations being used for the jab, side tilt and forward smash, and his the dash attack and down tilt being the same "screeching stop" animation.
  • Rolling Attack: His side special, rolling in place curled up for the charge-up before blitzing forward.

    Ronald McDonald

Ronald

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ronald_7.png
Home Series: McDonald's
Debut: McDonalds (1963)/McDonaldland (1971)
Video Game Debut: Donald Land (Famicom, 1988)
Crusade Mod Creator: Exdesia
Character Mod Origin: Kishio (M.U.G.E.N)

The mascot of McDonald's appears as CMC+'s unlockable superboss, based on his notorious M.U.G.E.N interpretation, "Donald". Awaiting players in a hidden room accessed through a deliberately Guide Dang It! route, those who face him will find that he possesses power that makes Brawl Meta Knight look like a baby, and a brutal AI that puts that strength to good use...

See the M.U.G.E.N character page for more information pertaining to the specific incarnation of Ronald that this one is ported from, and the McDonaldland character page for more information pertaining to the real Ronald.

  • Attack Reflector: One quirk of this Purposefully Overpowered fighter is how Ronald's very projectiles double as reflectors, meaning you can't choose to camp him in response, he chooses to camp you, no contest.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: It's Ronald McDonald, the fast-food mascot whose Leitmotif is a voice clip remix of "U.N. Owen was Her?," he's already an inheriently silly concept to include in Smash Bros. Of course, his reputation precedes Crusade and CMC+ for anyone familiar with his appearance in M.U.G.E.N and Rivals of Aether. And those that don't know of his power will in due time.
  • Edible Ammunition: Burgers, exploding apples, and fries of the anti-grav and large variety. What else do you expect from a food mascot?
  • Easter Egg: When fighting on the Devil's Machine in V8, Giygas has unique lines that reference Ronald McGiygas. For example: "[opponent]... I'M LOVIN' IT!" Doubles as an Out-of-Character Moment for Giygas himself.
  • The Fourth Wall Will Not Protect You: Successfully unlocking him has the following notice glitch out partway through before warning you not to look behind yourself. Said notice is accompanied by a more foreboding unlock jingle (and red interface in V7), in contrast to most other fighter unlocks.
  • Nerf: Believe it or not, despite his sheer strength, he's this in contrast to both his M.U.G.E.N and Rivals counterpart. His attacks are nowhere near as spammable, and he's missing certain attacks such as the cheese trap and rushdown uppercut. Obviously downplayed, as he's still a deliberately overpowered character in the context of Smash.
  • Purposely Overpowered: As a playable superboss, we could say "the entire character" but just to list one simple example of his ludicrous power: His down throw is a combo attack that deals 75% overall.
  • Secret Character: In V7, his room lies beyond a top-secret door in the "Luna Nights" challenge that is opened by a key that not only is lying in the least obvious of areas but can only be collected by a specific meager portion of the roster because of its location. In V8, this route is given to Norimaro, and Ronald himself is found in a secret route in the Underground Cavern. Of note in V8 is that Ronald must be fought twice: first in a stamina battle, and then in a more traditional unlock battle.
  • Superboss: With his unparalleled strength combined with the obtuse method to open his room in the first place? Yep.

    Smol Nozomi

Smol Nozomi

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bedr_nozomi.png
Home Series: SiIvaGunner (based on a Love Live! meme)
Debut: "nozoomy's very smol adventure" (YouTube video, 2015)
Crusade Mod Creator: Bedreamon
Character Mod Origin: Dr. ±0 (Rivals of Aether Workshop)

Based on a character from Love Live who represents the memetic song "Snow Halation". Prominently depicted as such in SiIvaGunner's Christmas Comeback Crisis''.

  • An Ice Person: As an allusion to her associated song, she uses ice-based smash attacks, with it being featured in other capacities such as the last hit of side special and for her shield animation.
  • Art Evolution: Whereas the original portrayal is depicted in a crudely drawn manner, this portrayal is from a RoA mod that gives her a more rounded and neater look.
  • Brown Note: Sings "Snow Halation" for the neutral special, akin to Jigglypuff's up special. Unlike the latter, this song inflicts dizzy on the foe.
  • Ground Punch: She summons an ice shockwave for the down smash by punching the ground.
  • Prehensile Hair: Spins her two ponytails like a helicoper for both offense and flight.
  • Super-Deformed: She isn't called "Smol Nozomi" for nothing.
