Azure is GamerLuna’s main avatar. She is a Magic Idol Singer who loves video games as much as GamerLuna. She is also revealed to be the student of Luigi. Later, she was revealed to be the teacher of Sonic. She is also the student of Arle, too. She is The Ace, but sometimes she's Not So Above It All.

• Blue Is Calm: Downplayed. She is calmer than Paula, but she can get excited at times.
• Break the Cutie:
  • Sometimes it's Parodied for Laughs most of the time. While she is usually happy, bad things may happen to her quite a lot, usually in forum games. This sometimes angers her.
  • Played straight in two scenarios:
    • After learning that Charles Martinet won't be voicing characters from the Mario series anymore, particularly Luigi, she and Paula underwent a depression arc. Azure thankfully recovered quickly.
    • ...only for her to then learn that PurpleEyedGuma was leaving TV Tropes. This caused her great sadness that caused her to become incredibly depressed. She then decides to play a forum game to cheer herself up, but ends up getting number 58 on the "How will your avatar spend the day with the above avatar?" forum game. This ended up being The Last Straw for her and she immediately transformed into Nega Azure. It only took about a month for Azure to recover.
• Golden Super Mode: Super Azure has golden hair, with a similar color palette as Super Sonic.
• Heroic B So D: Undergoes one after hearing that Charles Martinet is not the voice of Luigi anymore. Unlike Paula, Azure recovers pretty quickly. She gets a second one not long after, which took way longer than her first one..
• Hidden Depths: She reveals that she is a kouhai to both Luigi, and even later she reveals she is Sonic's teacher.
• Idol Singer: She can sing really well.
• Magical Girl Warrior: Downplayed since April 26th 2023. She has the traditional magical girl warrior attacks, like a beam attack, and many others, although she chooses to be a Magic Idol Singer.
• Noblewoman's Laugh: Does one as Nega Azure.
• Power-Up Full Color Change:
  • As Super Azure: Golden hair, red eyes
  • As Nega Azure: Black hair, blue eyes
  • As Cyber Azure (pre-The Final Horizon), she becomes Red and Black and Evil All Over.
  • As Cyber Azure (post-The Final Horizon): White hair, gold eyes.
  • In her Luigi Sensei Form: Green hair, blue eyes
  • In her Arle Sensei Form: Ginger hair, gold eyes
  • As Hyper Azure: Rainbow hair, white eyes
• Rage Breaking Point: After learning about Guma's departure from TV Tropes, Azure becomes so depressed and so annoyed with the world that she thinks the world is against her. This then leads to her getting number 58 on the "How will your avatar spend the day with the above avatar?" forum game. Azure has had enough, and transforms into Nega Azure out of fury.

Kailani Torres

"Bow down to the mighty Kailani!"

Kailani is the student of King Dedede, and aims to be like her sensei. She has a haughty attitude, but sometimes she is a Moe, and sometimes she is a Tomboy Princess. She also has a love-hate relationship with her sister, Shiro. She also wields a hammer, like her sensei.

• Kicking Ass in All Her Finery: She kicks a lot of ass, all while wearing a fancy blue outfit.
• Lady of War: She is Dedede's student, so not only does she act and look like a queen, but she has a fighting style exactly like her sensei.
• Moe: She sometimes has a shy and clumsy side, hidden away by her haughty attitude.
• Tomboy Princess: She also sometimes has a more energetic and sporty side, when she's being casual.

Rufina Fiera

Rufina is the student of Yoshi, and aims to be like her sensei. She is rather ditzy.

• American Kirby Is Hardcore: These three are unique in the fact that they are different depending on the region. Dream Circus (JPN) is cute and adorable, while Triple Threat Circus (USA) is more tough and badass.

Murasaki Midnight/Debra Midnight

"I'm the coolest girl you'll ever meet!"^{Americanised version}"Cower at the might of my blade!"

Murasaki is the student of Meta Knight, and aims to be like her sensei. She is quite serious, but is sometimes very prone to being The Comically Serious. Just like with Kailani, she also has a love-hate relationship with Shiro. She also wields a sword, like her sensei.

• Affectionate Nickname: Shiro calls her Mura.
• The Comically Serious: Downplayed. While she does get into silly situations while maintaining the serious attitude, she does occasionally have a more sillier side.
• Not So Above It All: She has a more sillier side.
• The Prankster: Loves playing tricks.

• Affectionate Nickname: Starla calls her Debbie.
• Baritone of Strength: She has a deeper voice compared to Murasaki.
• Blood Knight: Compared to Murasaki, Debra is more murderous.

Shiro Hoshiko/Starla Starlight

Shiro is the student of Kirby, and aims to be like her sensei. She is the a Genki Girl who loves to pig out. Even though she is Kirby's kouhai, she also tries to act like a sensei to Kirby. To work around the fact that she doesn't have a Vacuum Mouth, she has the Inhale Ability Bandaid, which is pretty much Kirby's inhale ability, but with a bracelet that sucks things in. Later, she gets Kirby a sensei of his own: Cobalt.

Nero is the student of Dark Matter, and aims to be like her sensei. She is a Shrinking Violet, but can sometimes be a very legitimate threat when provoked.

• Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: When she reaches her Rage Breaking Point, she is almost unstoppable.
• Dark Is Evil: She is thought to be this. And when really angry, she can destroy ENTIRE planets.
• Dark Is Not Evil: In reality, however... she is kind and caring to her friends.
• Demonic Possession: Just like her sensei, Dark Matter, she can take control of whoever's on her mind. Kailani is a recurring victim of this, but she does volunteer to be possessed by Noire when the former takes a level in jerkass.
• Moe: She always has a shy and clumsy side.
• Shrinking Violet: Downplayed. She's very shy, and prefers being alone... but she does interact with Azure, and her friends on some occasions.

Sapphire is the student of Kazooie, and aims to be like her sensei. She is a super snarky Jerkass, but she does act friendly to Azure and some of her friends, especially both Petra and Oggy. She is also an Idol Singer, just like Azure.

Petra is one of Bowser's students, and aims to be like her sensei. She is the most mature of Sapphire's group, and is also the greatest of GamerLuna's OCs.

Turquoise Samawati

Turquoise is the student of Daisy, and aims to be like her sensei. She is a Genki Girl, and is rather skilled in Swahili.

The Lunatic

"Lunatic's the name, don't ask for it again!"

A person different from Azure, she is a crazier and more insane version of Azure. She is Pissino's kouhai.

• Beware the Silly Ones: She may be a more Denser and Wackier version of Azure, but she is prone to throwing a destructive temper tantrum if provoked.
• Denser and Wackier: Exaggerated. She is Azure but hit with a truckload of Flanderization and Deconstruction.
• Evil Counterpart: Downplayed. The Lunatic is a Ruder and Cruder version of Azure, but she's still got some heart in her.
• Idol Singer: Deconstructed. She does sing, but her singing is... well... lets just say, it is quite nasty.
• Magical Girl Warrior: Averted. Unlike Azure, she has no magic powers.

Paula Wormsley

"It's-a-me! Paula!"

Paula is a cute yet ditzy Italian plumber girl. She is the student of Mario, and is Azure's sister. She is also secretly british.

• Golden Super Mode: Just like her sister, Azure, Paula has one, but unlike Super Azure, Super Paula has pink eyes instead of red.
• Fiery Redhead / Genki Girl: She is the most excitable of GamerLuna's avatars.
• Heroic B So D: Undergoes one after hearing that Charles Martinet is not the voice of Mario anymore. After finding out Azure went rogue and became Nega Azure, she recovers from her depression. She was not as depressed as Azure was when Guma left TV Tropes.
• Idol Singer: She is very talented at singing.
• Moe: Obviously one of the biggest examples of this out of the OCs, if not the biggest.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: She's the red oni to Azure's blue oni.
• Red Is Heroic: She is a very heroic and helpful person and has red hair.

Arashi Kaze

Arashi is the student of Dark Meta Knight, and aims to be like her sensei. Her personality depends on the region.

• Baritone of Strength: She has a deeper voice compared to Murasaki and Debra.
• Blood Knight: Compared to Murasaki and Debra, she is more murderous.
• Dark Is Evil: She has black hair and is one of the few proper antagonists.
• Dramatic Wind: Whenever she shows up, expect a gale to start blowing.
• Ominous Latin Chanting: She has this as her leitmotif, and she can sing like this. However, unlike Rufina (who can sing Latin as well), she is a BIG fan of this trope.
• Prefers Going Barefoot: Downplayed. She has to be barefoot in order for her to control the lightning and thunder. When she isn't controlling the weather, she keeps her shoes on.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: She's the red oni to Murasaki/Debra's blue oni.
• Weather Manipulation: She can use her hands to control the rain and wind, and can use her feet to create thunder and lightning.

• The Comically Serious: Unlike Murasaki and just like Debra, she keeps the serious attitude, regardless of what situation she is in.
• Evil Is Petty: She does pretty bad things, regardless if it's big or small.

Tropes applying to Tufani only

• Knight of Cerebus: Most of her appearances are almost never Played for Laughs. Compared to Arashi, she never says anything funny, she is very bloodthirsty, and wants to KILL Debra, unlike Arashi who just wants to be better than Murasaki.

Aqua Tanrei

Aqua is a rather serious person.

Tambi is a rather scaredy girl, who is one of Peppino's kouhais. She gets scared pretty easily, but sometimes she can pull it together.

    • After learning that Charles Martinet won't be voicing characters from the Mario series anymore thanks to him now becoming a Mario Ambassador, particularly Luigi-sensei, me and Paula were really sad. I recovered quickly, luckily enough.
    • However, my cheerfulness was not to last forever, as I then learnt that PurpleEyedGuma was leaving TV Tropes. I ended up becoming more depressed than I ever was. I then thought it would be a good idea to play a forum game to cheer myself up, but I ended up getting number 58 on the "How will your avatar spend the day with the above avatar?" forum game. I had to take a shower with CATASTROBI!!    I JUST-!!    (sigh) ...keep it together, Azure. You got this.
• Golden Super Mode: My super form has golden hair, with a similar color palette as Super Sonic.
• Heroic B So D: Underwent one after hearing that Charles Martinet is not the voice of Luigi anymore. Unlike Paula, I was able to recover pretty quickly. Unfortunately, I ended up getting a second one not long after, and that one took WAAAAY longer than my first one..

I have a haughty attitude, yet I have a more shy and defenseless side, which I use to persuade people into helping me. I also have a love-hate relationship with Shiro. I also occasionally wield a hammer, like Dedede-sensei.

A pink-haired angel who was from heaven, until Poporon broke her halo. She has a crush on Yurine, and has a grudge against Lierre.

Usagi Tsukino / Sailor Moon

A high-schooler who is rather clumsy and a very prone to crying. She is the leader of the Sailor Guardians, and main protagonist of the manga, the 1992 anime, the musicals, the live-action series, and the modern anime based off of the manga.

• Adaptational Jerkass: Downplayed. She is still pretty kind, but when it comes to villains, especially Death Phantom/Wiseman, she will give out nasty nicknames for them. Except for Sailor Galaxia, due to the "no humor when Sailor Galaxia is on-screen " rule.

Sailor Galaxia

The most powerful Sailor Guardian in the universe and the Big Bad of Sailor Moon: Sailor Stars. She nearly laid waste to the entire universe, hadn't it been for Sailor Moon purifying her.

• Knight of Cerebus: Unlike THE END, Sailor Galaxia being on-screen means the humor goes bye-bye.

The Unfortunates

• Related in the Adaptation: The Lunaverse versions of Oggy and Zig are cousins.

Tom

A blue-grey house cat who always chases Jerry but almost fails at catching him. While his personality tends to change depending on the context of the short or series, he's generally portrayed as a Jerkass looking to either eat Jerry or give him a hard time. He is also Bowser's kouhai.

• Adaptational Nice Guy: While he is still pretty snarky, he is way nicer than canon Tom.

Oggy

This guy is a smart, sometimes lazy and pretty happy-go-lucky cat who is the constant victim of the Cockroaches. He usually chases the Roaches around, but he hangs out with them from time to time. He is also Banjo's kouhai, alongside being one of Peppino's kouhais. He can also turn into an anime girl named Oggy-chan.

• Adaptational Jerkass: Downplayed. He is still a nice guy, but he does have a shorter temper than canon Oggy.
• Best Friend: With Sapphire.
• Humanity Ensues: Oggy can transform into a human.
  • Gender Bender: ...which takes the shape of an anime girl.

Zig

A hyena who tries to eat a mermaid, but a shark gets in his way almost every time. He is also Donkey Kong's kouhai.

• Adaptational Nice Guy: Zig is far nicer than his canon counterpart.
• Adaptational Heroism: The Lunaverse version of Zig is usually less wanting to eat Marina, and rather spend time with Oggy and Tom. He even feels bad about Serilly.

THE END is the Big Bad of Sonic Frontiers, who wanted to eat/destroy the earth. Unfortunately for him, Sonic (in his Super form in the main campaign or his Super Sonic Cyber form in The Final Horizon) managed to defeat him.

• Adaptational Comic Relief: THE END in it's game of origin was a very serious villain who wanted to CONSUME EARTH. In the GamerLuna universe, it's WAY more prone to being silly, yet it retains it's evilness.

Mario

Mario is a short, stumpy Italian plumber who originally lived in Brooklyn and later became an inhabitant of the Mushroom Kingdom, as well as its most famous hero. He is primarily charged with saving the perpetual Damsel in Distress, Princess Peach Toadstool, from the clutches of Bowser and his minions (and his student Tom). Since his debut in Donkey Kong in 1981, he's gone on to take many different professions, with his biggest job in the Lunaverse being the sensei of Paula.

• Adaptational Jerkass: ZigZagged. Sometimes, he is still heroic and tends to help people when there's trouble. However, he is VERY bossy and is also prone to snapping. Adding on to the latter is that he wants Paula to be his best student, otherwise he'll fire her and replace her with someone else.
• Composite Character: His personality here is a combination of his canon counterpart's heroic heart and Benson's bossiness and tendency to lose his temper.

Luigi

Mario's taller, marginally younger, and not-quite-as-famous (for a given value of "not-quite-as-famous") twin brother. Eventually got his own proper game with Luigi's Mansion. Unlike Mario, Luigi is more of a coward, but he'll pull through and do what's right. Since his debut in Mario Bros. in 1983, he's gone on to take many different professions, just like his big brother, with his biggest job in the Lunaverse being the sensei of Azure.

Homura Akemi

Homura is the main protagonist/antagonist of the Puella Magi Madoka Magica series. She is the student of Samus Aran and aims to be like her sensei. She is a rather mysterious girl, being The Stoic, but has a rather depressing backstory.

• Adaptational Jerkass: Downplayed, Homura in the PMMM canon is a rather cold girl, but is sometimes quite sympathetic. However, here, she retains some of the heart, but is rather sassy and more likely to roast people.
• Character Catchphrase: "Personally, I don't give a DAMN about what you think of me.", which may or may not be a quote originating from either the original show or Rebellion.

• Jashin-chan is both a lamia and a loser. She spends most of her time trying to kill her summoner, Yurine, and spends her money on pachinko machines. She has some friends, like her best friend, Medusa, her angel friend, Pekola, and other friends like Minos, Persephone II, the duo of Yusa and Kori, Pino, and the duo of Kyon-Kyon and Ran-Ran, but she has many enemies such as Poporon and the duo of Ecute and Atre. She is on middling terms with Lierre, however, and is terrified of Mei.
• Jashin-chan ascends to the Trope Pantheons despite the fact she’s a demon, being the first Dropkick on My Devil character to ascend there.
• She runs into Apophis, who tries to eat her alive. She tries slithering away him, with Jashin-chan slithering at a great pace, but Apophis then successfully eats her, only for Apophis to come to the realisation that Jashin-chan can regenerate herself. Frustrated, Apophis vows to get Jashin-chan next time, and walks away from her. Jashin-chan breathes a sigh of relief, knowing that her ability to regenerate saved her from being eaten by a big scary dragon.
• She then encounters Alice, for whom Jashin-chan befriends. They have a lot in common; they love to pig out, they are both lamias, and they are known to be pretty strong. Jashin-chan challenges Alice to a sparring match, but Jashin-chan loses. Jashin-chan tells Alice she put up a really good fight, and the both of them part ways. ...for now, at least.
• She then encounters Miia, who is friends with the aforementioned Alice. They both have two things in common; they are both lamias and they have a foul temper. Miia asks Jashin-chan to sample her cooking. Jashin-chan takes a bite, and instantly is turned white with pain. Jashin-chan is disappointed that Miia isn’t a good cook, but she still likes her.
• She then encounters Satania. Satania is thrilled to see that there’s another demon that is a loser in the Pantheon. They both relate to each other on this similarity and become friends.
