Height: 182cm
Age: Unknown
Zodiac Sign: Capricorn
Birthday: December 31st
Flower: Lavender
Color: Light purple
One of the love interests. While his identity may vary across The Multiverse, Cael is composed, elegant and enigmatic, a dedicated guardian who prioritizes the main character above everything else, even to her own dismay.
    General tropes
  • The Ace: Cael seems to be the best at anything he wants to, and even when compared to sky-high standards, he’s still among the most powerful Prefects of the Infinite Empire.
  • The Ageless: As a Traveler, he has stopped aging and kept his youth for hundreds of years.
  • Awesomeness by Analysis: He can predict other people’s behavior and act accordingly, which offsets his lack of understanding of human emotions. This is best demonstrated when he took care of the MC, an emotionally unstable teenage girl, by relying purely on analyzing her thought process.
  • Badass Bookworm: He has quoted several literature works of Jorge Luis Borges, from The Lover in "Sprout" Illustra story to The Aleph in Book of Tales event.
  • Beneath the Mask: When there isn’t a need to act, Cael drops his Perpetual Smiler façade and shows his true self: a dispassionate man who doesn’t run after the MC and place all of his focus on her like he normally does, but rather ensures her comfort and safety from a distance. He also isn’t entirely callous like his appearance in Godheim implies, and tries to go pass his innate Lack of Empathy to pursue true art and comprehend the beauty of the world.
  • Blue-and-Orange Morality: His view on the concept of morality is almost alien, and he has difficulty associating himself with human values such as love or empathy.
  • Broken Pedestal: Cael was one of the most important people in the MC’s life, but when she finds out what he has been doing to Godheim, all her adoration and respect for him are razed to the ground, and she can no longer recognize him as the Cael she once knew.
I could never associate with a butcher who has no respect for life.
  • The Chessmaster: 100 years ago, he set the stage for Godheim’s destruction by creating and using the mages as unremovable time bombs, then instigating internal conflict under the guise of a savior to amplify the amount of emotions he can reap. As the MC describes it, he "takes advantage of people's weaknesses, and doesn't think twice about eliminating those who pose a threat to his plan", and she commends him for being a brilliant strategist whose every move is acute and decisive.
  • Character Development: He goes from a well-meaning Control Freak who shelters the MC and views her as an object of protection that needs to stay under his surveillance to accepting her as her own person and letting her go through trials and errors so that she can grow in her own way. Some of his negative aspects shown in Godheim such as callousness and jealousy are also toned down significantly.
  • Control Freak: He prefers everything to be under his control, and getting a vision that the MC will get out of his control zone, make choices that clash with his plan, and be pitted against him in the future has him shaken with fear. For a moment, he even considers cutting her off from the outside world and making her completely reliant on him, thus keeping her on his side forever, though he manages to keep that intrusive thought to himself. After Character Development, he’s no longer this.
  • Declaration of Protection: He made a promise to protect the MC with her mother.
  • Didn't See That Coming: He enchanted Heinrich for Project Shelter and forced him to keep his identity a secret no matter how the school changed or what he did, thinking that if Heinrich were ever to stumble upon his plan, he could easily erase his memory. However, he did not foresee that Heinrich was immune to his memory-erasing magic, thus the scholar managed to discover the existence of The Multiverse and made a deal with Archmage Clarence that brought the MC to Godheim, nulling Cael’s attempts to keep her out of her fate.
  • Dimensional Traveler: He’s a being similar to the MC called "Traveler" who can travel through time and space at will.
  • Everyone Has Standards:
  • Failure Knight: Because the MC is a Traveler like him, combined with the fact that she has a Temporal Paradox involvement with Clarence, Cael cannot interfere with her fate even if he can foresee it, and has failed to protect her from suffering and dying in Godheim countless time in the "Groundhog Day" Loop.
  • Fairytale Motif:
    • In an Illustra story, he calls himself the Peter Pan to the MC’s Wendy, as he will also have to let her go and grow up no matter how much he wants to keep her in the "Neverland" he created for her.
    • In Book of Tales, his image in the MC’s subconsciousness plays the role of the titular queen from The Snow Queen, referred to as "The Man in the Snow Palace".
  • Give Him a Normal Life: His initial motive regarding the MC is to keep her in the dark about her identity as a Traveler and The Multiverse, so that she can lead a life just like every normal girl on Earth per his promise with her mother. Should he successfully bring her back from Godheim, he will erase her memory of everything that happened there or even monopolize her if his intrusive side wins over.
  • Graceful Loser: When the MC successfully foils his scheme on Godheim, he accepts his loss with no hard feelings and even respects the fact that she may hate him after knowing his wrongdoings.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He initially opposed the MC’s attempt to save Godheim and was the Arc Villain of the first world, but after many events, he’s no longer antagonistic and allows the MC to choose her own life.
  • Hero of Another Story: Cael has been a Traveler for presumably hundreds of years, and has no less than one tale to tell about his experience.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: In a very twisted manner. He does not mind who the MC ends up with, even if it isn’t him, and when she insists on staying with Lars in the latter’s route, Cael relents and offers to transport Lars to her world with her by taking over the body of Modern World’s Lars. In short, he will give her superficial "happiness" by giving no crap about everyone else, seemingly unaware that it will only have the opposite effect. He plays the trope straighter from Eden onwards as he lets the MC abandon her life in Earth and return to Eden for Alkaid, understanding that she’s pursuing her happiness and he desires that above all else.
  • Instant Expert: He can be good at anything after trying them for a very short time.
  • Jerkass to One: For some reasons, Cael has a dislike for Lars. It’s quite mild in the Modern World because they only met once by chance, but in Godheim where they’re established Arch-Enemy, he callously calls Lars an animal and genuinely gets shaken when the MC acts intimately with Lars to lure him out, a reaction nonexistent when the MC got together with Ayn, Alkaid, or whoever her suitor was in other timelines. Their relationship gets better after Godheim though and they can now talk on cordial term.
  • Lack of Empathy: Except for the MC and her mother, he doesn’t care about anyone else, not even his subordinates in the Rebellion who sees him like a saint. This is typical of the people from his civilization, who have Blue-and-Orange Morality, and further encouraged by his job which is to destroy worlds on frequent basis.
Cael: Aside from you, everyone else is expendable.
  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: Unlike his fellow male leads whose hair length varies depending on their Alternate Self, he retains his long, lustrous hair in all universes.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He always knows the right thing to say to sway people to his side, and the MC has to mentally reprimand herself to not fall for his words. In order to gather the Paragons to St. Shelter Academia, he has manipulated parts of their life and led them into believing that they made the choices on their own will, and a few years later, he pulls the strings again to indirectly help them realize their true destiny.
  • Master Actor: When taking care of the MC, he seamlessly shift between roles in the relationship to cater to her emotional needs, whether it be a loving father, dependable brother, or even a doting boyfriend. Godheim’s Lars points out that if Cael was an ordinary man, he wouldn't be able to assume whichever role she required with such aplomb, and at the drop of a hat.
  • Mechanically Unusual Fighter: Not exactly a "fighter" in this case, but Cael is the only love interest whose favor can’t be seen, and as a result he has no Affinity event or gift until the third world is released.
  • Mellow Fellow: His mood spectrum goes from gentle calmness to callous apathy, and it rarely wavers.
  • Mono no Aware: When he was the painter Emerald, the themes of his paintings were usually butterflies emerging from their chrysalises, falling meteors, rainbows after the rain. Even after dropping his mask, he still keeps his appreciation for the splendor that burns brightly and ephemeral beauty.
  • Mysterious Purple: He has purple as his theme color, and the intentional Out of Focus moments are there to keep all the secrets he harbors hidden.
  • Mystical White Hair: His bright white hair sets him apart from other male leads, befitting his otherworldly nature as an alien entity from a world more advanced than Earth.
  • Nerves of Steel: Cael rarely if ever gets swayed by anything, and when he does, he calms down absurdly quickly.
    • In Lars’ Godheim route, despite being surrounded by legions of royal guards and mages and just getting injured by Lars (which managed to force an Oh, Crap! out of him to boost), he still manages to get his anger into Tranquil Fury range and turn the table on Lars by transforming mages into Glacial Butterflies and accelerating the destruction of Godheim.
    • In "Sprout" Illustra story, he stays unflappable in the face of Prefect Luminary’s taunts and the prospect of being unable the escape the latter’s dreamscape.
  • Never Had a Birthday Party: Three years after his first meeting with the MC is the first time he ever celebrates his birthday. While the one he has with the MC isn’t exactly a "party", he’s still happy with it.
  • Not So Stoic: Although Cael is always calm and in control of everything, when speaking with the MC after the first time after the event of Godheim, he’s seen nervously fidgeting with a watering can, then keeps a distance from the MC out of worry that he will frighten her and stops his semi-permanent smile to show that he’s serious and sincere.
  • Older Than They Look: He looks like a young man in his 20s, but is actually hundreds of years old thanks to being The Ageless.
  • Out of Focus: At the beginning of the game, Cael evidently makes fewer appearances than the other four love interests despite the implications that he has more involvement in the plot than he appears. He only begins to get under the spotlight from Lars’ Godheim route onward.
    • He only shows up briefly in the beginning and the end of Eden, having very minimal screen time.
  • Person of Mass Destruction: With his manipulation, he almost destroys Godheim all by himself without showing up until the last hours, and will actually succeed in some routes. This isn’t the first time he has leveled a whole world into oblivion.
  • The Promise: He had one with the MC’s mother, who asked him to protect the MC and Give Her a Normal Life, in exchange for one of her most powerful artifacts - the lapis necklace that could absorb strong emotions and obsessions, which makes him stronger.
  • Purple Is Powerful: His theme color is purple, and he’s arguably the most powerful of the male leads.
  • Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: Just like the MC, he can remember everything that happened in the "Groundhog Day" Loop. He utilizes this to observe her growth and silently guide her to the correct route towards Godheim’s conclusion.
  • Screw Destiny: He attempted to prevent the MC from embarking on her journey in Godheim and make her stay as a normal person, with disappointing results since every time he tries to intervene directly, it gets her killed. He eventually accepts that You Can't Fight Fate and is content with helping her embrace her fate safely on the sidelines.
  • Seers: His unique ability as a Traveler is to see into the future, though he can only catch small glimpses of what's to come and not the full picture.
  • Significant Birth Date: Invoked; Cael’s "birthday" isn’t his actual birthday, but a day he deliberately chose to put in his teacher profile. Three years ago, December 31st was when he and the MC met the first time
  • Single-Target Sexuality: He doesn’t seem to have a personal interest in anyone else aside from the MC.
  • Smart People Play Chess: He’s usually seen holding a chess piece, and has a whole Illustra called "Chess Player" for himself. It seems to be a hint that he’s actually The Chessmaster.
  • Two Aliases, One Character: The Silver Knight isn’t an Alternate Self of the MC’s guardian in the Modern World; they are the same person.
  • Undying Loyalty: To the MC. Even if she hates him, he will not hurt her at the risk of his own goal, and admits that the last thing he wants is for them to become enemies.
  • Unflappable Guardian: He’s the MC’s legal guardian who has been taking care of her for three years. In the process, he spoils her unconditionally and protects her against the world itself, but still uses the right level of strictness to properly educate her. He also takes the existence of The Multiverse in stride as he’s also a Traveler just like the MC.
  • Vague Age: Though he’s said to look 25, both his Real World and Godheim profile refer to his age as "Unknown", and he was the one behind the creation of mages in Godheim more than 100 years ago. He then reveals that as a Dimensional Traveler, he isn’t bounded by the typical lifespan of a mortal body.
  • Walking Spoiler: He was Out of Focus at the beginning of the game and has more tropes on the general section for a good reason: Cael is also a Dimensional Traveler with no Alternate Self like the MC, and his goal is to destroy worlds for the sake of gathering energy for his civilization. It’s impossible to discuss him without spoiling a majority of Godheim’s plot.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: While the way he goes about it is extreme and morally questionable, Cael truly wants to protect the MC from the danger of being a Traveler, especially for someone who is unable to ignore plea for help and will likely get hurt in the process such as her.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: He does not understand human emotions, especially love, which causes his attempt to make the MC happy to backfire and portrays him as more heartless and callous than his true self.
  • What You Are in the Dark: There have been multiple instances in the past where he acknowledged that he could just brainwash and monopolize the MC, since she had been perfectly dependent on him and the only person who could stop him was dead, but managed to stop himself in time. The one time he actually did it, he realized that he couldn’t bear seeing the MC being an Empty Shell and gave up on this line of thought entirely.

Your guardian with a hidden side

"You will find your Path Forward in the Bright Radiance."

The MC’s guardian, entrusted to her by her mother, and the art professor at St. Shelter Academia. He’s an acquaintance one could only dream of, who takes care of her every needs, plays any role she requires, and also happens to be the person behind her favorite artist "Emerald". Beneath his mellow demeanor and impeccability hides secrets related to the MC’s own past and future.

  • Actually, I Am Him: He’s the true identity of "Emerald", the artist the MC admires.
  • Famed In-Story: "Emerald" is exceedingly popular, both for his impeccable technique and his reclusion that gives him an enigmatic charm.
  • Hot Teacher: When the MC moved to a new high school, one of her classmates was smitten with Cael and decided to confess to him when the MC wasn’t home. He denied the potential Teacher/Student Romance however and gently turned the girl down.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: He was the one who suggested the MC to take in the stray cat in front of her new home on Harp Island. The cat enjoys his presence and tends to cuddle with him every time he visits.
  • Living Emotional Crutch: The MC is emotionally dependent on him because he has been her Parental Substitute and catered to her requests no matter how nonsensical they were when she was at her lowest.
  • The Mentor: He guides the MC in the spirit and meaning of art, training her into keeping her artistry and love for art untainted by material gains or societal expectations.
  • More than Just a Teacher: Aside from being a professor at St. Shelter Academia, he’s also a famous artist and an investor, which explains why he’s usually not present at school. Clarence’s first White Day story reveals that he used to work for a film production film at one point to manipulate Clarence into enrolling in St. Shelter Academi.
  • Nobody Touches the Hair: Downplayed; he initially discourages the MC from touching his hair, but eventually relents.
  • Not So Above It All: In one Itinerary event about a gardening content, if you invite Cael, there’s a chance he will enter the contest with not a plant, but his hair that he grew.
  • Parental Substitute: He has been taking care of the MC ever since her mother died and becomes her only "relatives". Several of his voice lines and messages towards her are also reminiscent of a way a parent would talk to their child, such as telling her not to use her phone while eating or reminding her to sleep early despite the day being New Year’s Eve.
  • Pen Name: He uses "Emerald" as his alias when painting. This trope is only applicable to the Global version because of Dub Name Change.
  • Reclusive Artist: Except Heinrich and people who are related to the management of his exhibitions, almost no one knows he’s Emerald because he never shows up in public under that identity.
  • Renaissance Man: Cael seems to know anything the MC needs him to and even more. He is an artist, a teacher, an investor, an accessory and fashion designer, cooks well, can play chess, and knows how to tell good and poor-quality pearls apart, just to name a few.
  • Sweet Baker: He frequently bakes for the MC because he knows she likes desserts, and makes a birthday cake for her by himself. The scenes where he bakes are frequently depicted as nostalgic of his and the MC’s relationship before Godheim.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: Zigzagged. While his occupation as the art teacher in St. Shelter Academia, where the MC studies, sets up the scene for this trope to be at play, their relationship wasn’t romantic at first and Cael saw her like a child he must shelter and protect because of The Promise. He only changes his view and feelings towards the MC after her journey in The Multiverse, seeing her as a fellow Traveler whose mortal age and identity on Earth as his student is no longer relevant.
  • Technically a Smile: He’s noted to smile often, which gives him an affable impression, but none of his smiles contain any emotion. The MC is the only person who gets to see a genuine smile from him.
  • Technician Versus Performer: The Technician to the MC’s Performer in terms of art. Thanks to being an Instant Expert and having the ability to see the future, he reached the pinnacle of his craft in a short time and built his career as a successful and famous artist. But he didn't understand love or emotions, and therefore couldn't experience them and pour any of them into his works. He began to feel like his art lacked true vitality and were devoid of all meaning, and despite all his efforts, he still hasn't grasped the core spirit of art.
  • Uncle Pennybags: He uses his wealth to spoil the MC rotten by buying her anything and taking her anywhere she wants.
  • World Tour: He brought the MC on a tour around the world before she enrolled in St. Shelter Academia.

    Tropes exclusive to Godheim

Your unfailingly loyal Silver Knight

"If possible, I hope that the relationship between the maiden and the Silver Knight will never change."

Symbol: The Rebellion
The "Silver Knight", leader of the Rebellion, who is hailed like a messiah by the people of Godheim. Depicted as the hero in the manga "In Passing", he’s dedicated to saving the maiden from the clutches of the Emperor, but when reality is proven to be different from fiction, his true intention is called into question.
  • A God Am I: While Cael never outright calls himself a god, it’s clear from his behaviors that he feels entitled to decide the fate of Godheim as a Dimensional Traveler who isn’t bounded by time and space and has all the power to lay waste to the world the way he wants, as evident by how he deliberately makes the situation in Godheim resemble what Silversnow went through in its final days just to press Lars’ Trauma Button and drive him into despair. He also refers to a sword (which is impaling him, no less) as "human’s toy" and mentions that his lifespan isn’t limited like that of a "mortal body", implying that he sees himself as beyond humanity.
  • Achilles' Heel: Weapons that have the royal family’s blood on them can pierce through his immunity to weapon and injure him.
  • Affably Evil: He has less than noble intentions for Godheim, but stays calm and especially courteous towards the MC.
  • Arc Villain: For Godheim.
  • Arch-Enemy: With Lars, because Lars is one of the two spearheads in the operation to defy his plan.
  • Broken Pedestal: In Ayn’s route, when he’s outed as the one who unleashed the Glacial Butterflies, even the Rebellion themselves start to cheer on Ayn.
  • Deus ex Machina: Ironically enough, he’s the one who stops the Endless Winter that ravages Godheim all these years simply by leaving the land. After he realizes that the MC is hellbent on being Together in Death with Lars both to spite him and to threaten him with the potential risk the successful Descendance Zisurru may have on a Dimensional Traveler, Cael decides that destroying Godheim isn’t worth it and gives up his mission, at least for as long as the MC is there.
  • Dissonant Serenity: He stays calm and emotionless even when killing all of his followers in the Rebellion.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: He genuinely values the MC and when he said he would not hurt her, he means it.
  • False Prophet: As the leader of the Rebellion, he presents himself as a figure of hope, light, and justice to the Rebellion and the common folks, someone that cuts down all obstacles on his path to dethrone The Emperor with grace and will save them from the Endless Winter. However, he’s actually the one behind the Glacial Butterflies and his true purpose is to disturb the Descendance Ritual, their only way out of their predicament, and doom all of Godheim. In Ayn’s route, the MC comments that this knowledge would have brought despair to everyone if not for Ayn’s bravery that inspires new hope.
  • Friendly Fireproof: He can program the situation in Godheim so that literally nothing can hurt the MC. In Lars’ route, none of the ice spikes from the Glacial Butterflies that fall from the sky has so much as grazed her, and on the contrary, they seem to be actively avoiding her.
  • The Ghost: Even though he is repeatedly mentioned and the MC even tries to search for him in desperation, the Silver Knight himself never appears in The Beginning and Alkaid’s route.
  • I Gave My Word: In Lars’ route, he promises to never hurt the MC. Although he overpowers Lars and almost kills the latter, he stops his blade the instant the MC blocks it for Lars. Later, despite going for a complete annihilation of Godheim, he still employs Friendly Fireproof to make sure the MC isn’t caught in the crossfire. In the end, he stops his attack on Godheim entirely because he realizes the MC prefers to be Together in Death with Lars if it means they can save Godheim.
  • An Ice Person: Due to his control over the Glacial Butterflies, he can manipulate snow and ice via them.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: The Silver Knight is painted as a honorable white-clad knight who leads the La Résistance against The Emperor and his Decadent Court, befitting the male lead of a romance comic.
  • Light Is Not Good: He dresses in all white and behaves like a typical Knight in Shining Armor, but turns out to be the Arc Villain of Godheim.
  • Oh, Crap!: He loses his cool for the first time when he realizes Lars’ sword can injure him as it’s soaked in the latter’s blood.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: The people of Godheim all refer to him as the Silver Knight. Only the MC, after gaining sufficient knowledge about him, dares to call him with his name "Cael".
  • Major Injury Underreaction: He doesn’t even flinch when Lars’ sword impales him, and even ridicules it as human’s "little toy" which cannot harm him and mocks the MC for being shock.
  • Not Even Bothering with an Excuse: He never explains why he wants to destroy Godheim, assuming that since everyone would eventually be dead, it would be a waste of breath and time. He’s only pressured into it by the MC, a fellow Traveler.
  • Nothing Personal: While he initially doesn’t bother to explain his motive, Cael is eventually pressured into admitting that destroying Godheim is his mission, not something he does For the Evulz. That part where he spreads the Frigid Pestilence to make the end of Godheim resemble Silversnow’s destruction is every bit personal though.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: He goes undercover as a squire in the imperial palace in Lars’ route, but gets recognized by the MC at first glance.
  • Plaguemaster: Via the Glacial Butterflies, he can spread the Frigid Pestilence wherever he wants.
  • Master Swordsman: His swordsmanship is so impeccable that Ayn and Queen Feina, two of the most powerful swordsmen in Godheim, struggle to even compete with him.
  • Mysterious Protector: He has actually observed and stayed by the MC’s side since the beginning of her journey in Godheim. At first, he often intervened to ensure her safety, but as time goes on, he realizes that his attempts will cause the loop to never end, so he switched to secretly offering her guidance towards Godheim’s conclusion.
  • Tranquil Fury: Even though he’s evidently pissed off after being injured by Lars, so much that he’s willing to evoke the latter’s trauma by spreading the Frigid Pestilence in the Imperial City and try to push Lars towards the Despair Event Horizon, Cael remains outwardly impassive and talks in the same monotonous tone. However, the MC admits that his placidity only fills her with a greater terror.
  • Uncertain Doom: In Ayn’s route, it may seem like Ayn has killed Cael by stabbing him in the heart, but the reveal that Travelers have Resurrective Immortality means Cael won’t stay dead, though his whereabouts after the event is left unmentioned.
  • Villain with Good Publicity: The people of Godheim see him more favorably than their "tyrant", especially the Rebellion who follow him blindly and commit Suicide Mission in his name, helping him carry out his schemes without even realizing it.
  • White Stallion: He rides a white horse into battle, making him resemble a typical Knight in Shining Armor even more.
  • Would Hurt a Child: He created the mages in Godheim by buying children from the poor, giving them a false sense of security by providing them with food and clothing, and then inducing them to ingest the magic potion that would turn them into a mage if they had a strong desire, but would kill them in the most painful way imaginable if they didn’t.
  • You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: His modus operandi regarding the Rebellion and and fellow conspirators: if someone can’t serve any purpose, they’re better off dead. Susie has tried to do this with the MC and Ayn in his name, and mages who defected to his side are mutated and used as monsters akin to timed bombs.

Your final protection

"Being with someone is better than being alone, even if you are trapped in a cage."

Keyword: Armor

Cael as himself, under the identity of Prefect Silver of the Infinite Empire. As Eden is under the management of another Prefect, he can only ask the MC not to go, and stays absent for the entire arc.

  • Big Damn Hero:
    • At the end of Alkaid’s route, the MC needs to deliver Alkaid’s emotions to Prefect Luminary, but it means she will have to enter the Infinite Empire on her own and put herself at risk because of her identity. Cue Cael swiftly appears and takes over the task for her, keeping her safe from Prefect Luminary’s attention for the time being.
    • In Sprout Illustra story, when Prefect Luminary pressures the MC in the dreamscape, Cael enters the dream and shatters Prefect Luminary’s apparition, announcing his presence and the fact that he will not leave the MC alone in this place, especially with a fellow like Prefect Luminary.
  • Please, Don't Leave Me: Before she enters Eden, the MC keeps getting warned by Cael not to go, but he never discloses more information to effectively keep her from diving into danger to find the truth.
  • So Proud of You: He expresses his amazement and unhesitatingly praises the MC’s and Alkaid’s feat of creating a new world, something even superior life forms like the Prefects are incapable of so far.
  • You Are Worth Hell: In his Illustra story, he willingly stays trapped with the MC in the spiritual prison created by Prefect Luminary for months.

An echo of the White City

"I only have one wish—to meet you when we are both the same age."

Instead of the Bad Future, Cael lets you get a glimpse of his past, now rewritten to accommodate your existence. At that time, he was a young Traveler trained by the Infinite Empire who spent his hard-earned free time observing the ruins of the fallen White City. With your help, he accepted to step further into the past, when the City of Travelers still stood proudly.

  • The Ace: He was evaluated S+ in all subjects while training in the Infinite Empire. It's said that there are only 3 other students in the Empire’s history with the same rating.
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Hates Being Touched: He immediately declares that he doesn’t like being touched as soon as the MC extends her hand with the intention to hold it. He has to concise however because physical contact is needed to let him return to the past with her.
  • The Spock: In his youth, Cael is highly logical and analytical, with no room for emotions. He calmly denies the fact that the MC could possibly have the power to return to the past at an age that young simply because it is a reasonable conclusion, not because he wants to challenge or deride her.

"Can you see it? This so-called eternity."

A projection of the MC’s subconscious in the dream realm, taking the form of Cael combined with the titular Snow Queen in "The Snow Queen". In the epilogue, the consciousness of Modern World’s Cael overtakes it.
