Locked Pages: Lock, UnLock and Edit requests

Go To

This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:

  • creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
  • moving discussion pages
  • moving reviews

Please keep the following guidelines in mind:

  1. Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
  2. Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
  3. If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
  4. We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
  5. If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
  6. If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
  7. To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
  8. Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
  9. Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
  10. Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

On Monster.Batman, the italics are misplaced for the Legends of the Dark Knight folder, so all the entries are italicized instead of just the folder title. This is because the apostrophes are outside the folder title instead of within.

So, instead of , please change it to .

Please delete Further Adventures of Indiana Jones from Comic Books: A to H and add this to Comic Books: I to Z:
  • Indiana Jones:
    • Further Adventures of Indiana Jones: General Makimura, from issue #19 ("Dragon By The Tail!"), is a Japanese mystic who attempts to capture a living dragon to unleash it off the coast of California, allowing it to ravage most of the USA and countless lives with it before he and his men take over the rest. Inevitably—and to his apathy—Makimura's recklessness cause the dragon to be freed and destroy his men and whatever else is in its path, nearly killing numerous children before being stopped by Indy.
    • Thunder in the Orient, by Dan Barry et al.: General Masashi Kyojo, a wicked Japanese soldier with ambitions of conquering Asia, introduces himself double-crossing and murdering a treasure hunter who imparts vital information to him. In pursuit of the fabled Covenant of Buddha, Kyojo spares no expense: killing his own Giant Mook on a whim; forcing three of his own soldiers to commit hara-kiri for their failure; and even gleefully having a village airbombed. Kyojo sneers to Indiana Jones that today his head will roll, and tomorrow the West will follow him.

At Live Action TVA To L, please remove the Black Lightning stuff and add this:
  • The Flash (1990):
    • The Flash's Arch-Enemy, Nicholas Pike, debuting in the Pilot, is a former police officer who was disbarred for his crooked involvement in criminal activities, swearing vengeance against Jay Allen for bringing his corruption to light. Forming a biker gang, the "Dark Riders", Pike had his cronies terrorize Central City, torching streets and killing anyone in their way. When one member leaves out of disgust, Pike cruelly kills him by having him dragged on a motorcycle with a bomb and then detonating it. He later murders Jay for revenge. Storming the jail to free his men Barry Allen has arrested, Pike intends to use them to destroy the entire city regardless of any causalities. In "Flashfoward", after being released from prison, Pike returns for vengeance on Barry, firing a heat-seeking missile at him which sends Barry ten years into the future. An utter dystopia with Pike as mayor, he forces citizens to submit to him lest he have them executed or lobotomized if they don't bow down to him. A smug and wicked man motivated only by petty revenge, Pike cements himself as one of the most evil and personal enemies that the Flash has ever faced.
    • Dr. Carl Tanner, from "Out of Control", is an amoral geneticist who ostensibly wants to better world. In truth, to erase the "shame" of having grown up in poverty, Carl intends to perfect a mutative formula to allow him to wipe out the homeless "vermin" of the world, testing his formula on the vagrants of Central City and killing them through agonizing mutation. Lusting after and trying to mutate his former college sweetheart Christina McGee, Tanner eventually uses the formula on himself, rampaging across Central City in his new monstrous form and attempting to massacre the nearest homeless den.
    • Bougart/Beauregarde Lesko, from "Child's Play" creates an insidious hallucinogen called "Blue Paradise", which becomes rampant in Central City. Creating a powerful physical addition, if users do not regularly take Blue Paradise, they die, much to Lesko's apathy. When suspected in the drug's production by a reporter, Lesko kills him by blowing up his car to destroy the evidence, also trying to murder a teenager who manages to get ahold of it. Trying to force the teen into addiction to control him, Lesko also tries to spread his drug over the city via helicopter, not content until he can control the entire population with his drug.
    • James Montgomery Jesse, better known as the "Trickster," is an insane criminal mastermind with a penchant for numerous murderous personalities and gimmicks leading to a string of murders over six states. Adopting the persona of the "Trickster" after he's smitten by private investigator Megan Lockhart—after failing to saw her in half—the Trickster murders the cops who try to detain him; leaves an exploding Flash statue in a public square; takes the customers of a novelty shop hostage while murdering one of them for giggles; and attempts to drown Barry Allen in his twisted crusade to make Megan his criminal sidekick "Prank". Busted out of prison in his second appearance by his twisted fangirl Zoey Clark, the Trickster butchers the host of a talk show and announces his new crime spree, torturing and brainwashing the Flash into his sidekick while causing wanton mayhem throughout Central City and endangering the lives of countless innocents. The Trickster finally tries to hold a "trial" for the city by killing those who prosecuted him after ruling them "guilty against crimes of good taste!" and, even after this is thwarted, ditches Zoey to the police even after she saves him. Zany, witty, and absolutely in love with his own murderous psychosis, Jesse's tricks murdered countless innocent people and cement him as one of the Scarlet Speedster's worst foes.

At Arrowverse, please remove The Flash (1990) stuff and add this at the end:

Black Lightning (2018)

  • Season 1: The racist, revolting Martin Proctor is the man in charge of the Freeland operations of the sinister ASA. On his own, he restarts a vaccine program with a high mortality rate due to how it can potentially enslave innocent African-Americans and create superpowered pawns. Repackaging it into a drug and circulating it throughout the city to target teenagers with an epidemic of death following, those who develop superpowers are taken for experimentation. When Proctor goes up against his rival Gambi, he has a subordinate force Gambi's surrender by holding a large crowd at gunpoint and is flatly disappointed he can't massacre them when Gambi surrenders. Proctor proceeds to betray and try to kill his ally, crime lord Tobias Whale, while also framing hero Jefferson Pierce as a drug user, not caring if his men kill anyone in the way. When his plans fail, Proctor shores up his losses and intends to take the surviving teens to perform hideous experiments on them to his heart's content, even trying to blackmail Jefferson into giving him a genetic sample by threatening to kill his family. A twisted, racist madman who cares nothing for the damage he does, Proctor is only too glad to condemn thousands of innocent young black men to death, justifying himself with the worst racist rhetoric.
  • "The Perdi" & "The Sange": The Looker is a metahuman who lords over South Freeland, and an Arc Villain in season 2. Having been exposed to the ASA vaccine 30 years prior, she developed the powers to emanate a mysterious metallic substance known as the Element, which she uses to enslave the white population of South Freeland to join her Hive Mind as Sange. Despite her self-serving belief that she "saved" the town from a drug epidemic, one of her slaves counters that her assimilation is far worse than the drugs; she counters by cruelly murdering him. With the town under her control, the black population—the Perdi—is forced to hide out in the woods, lest the Sange lynch them and hang them from trees. When Anaya, a Perdi, has twin babies with Deacon, a Sange, Looker stops at nothing to capture these babies to be part of her control. Cruel, racist, and self-centered, Looker desired to maintain total dominance over South Freeland, by the most violent means imaginable.

There's also an Evil Albino pothole on MagnificentBastard.Western Animation that needs to go.

* VideoGame/EternalSeniaHydrangeaAfterTheRain: Presumably the Succubus type enemies, with their bat-like wings and tails, wearing BareYourMidriff outfits and a pink HeartSymbol in their art, presumably referencing love / lust.

* VideoGame/FutureFragments: Multiple:
** Trope with the Half-Demons. They sport jagged teeth, leathery skin, bat-like wings, and gaunt features, but both lack the horns of a typical demon, or the necessarily sex-based powers. They still wield MindControl, however.
** Also subverted with , who turns into the very image of a succubus when exposed to the Fire Boss's essence--although again, there's nothing to imply she actually becomes one.

And this new entry:

It's a pain having to come here for what's a pretty harmless trope.

  • Fate/Grand Order: An inverted example with Raikou's horse Kyogoku. Kyogoku's dialogues with fellow horses reveal that he's very into Raikou's Stripperific bikini and her Gag Boobs and he hopes, if possible, that they could grow even bigger. The other horses (Bailong, Dun Stallion and Llamrei) are very disturbed by his pervertness, to the point that Llamrei goes Pervert Revenge Mode on him just for saying his perverted desires out loud. Funnily enough, the riders of the other three mentioned horses have also large busts, yet only Kyogoku acts like this.

May I request an edit on the Horny Devils page, please? Specifically, I want to alter the entries on Succubi and Incubi in 4th edition, replacing them with the following:

  • 4th edition had the first major upset to succubus lore since the game's creation; due to the new cosmology, succubi were transferred from being a Demon race to being a Devil race, given an origin as Angels of Love who had foolishly sided with Asmodeus in hopes of gaining the freedom to spread love freely, instead of only where their patron god decreed. It went horribly wrong for them, and left them with a deep spiritual void where their love once was, which is where their traditional life-draining kiss comes from. However, this origin also makes them the devilish breed most likely to turn their backs on the Hells and seek redemption. They had an extended "Ecology of the Succubus" writeup in the pages of Dragon.
    • Because of this new lore, Erinyes were no longer required as the Devil Counterpart to the Succubus, so they were also redesigned into, essentially, Hell's Amazons; with a new design portraying them as armor-clad feminine but archetypal devils, they were characterized as infernal generals who also doubled as arbitrators of diabolic justice—in particular, charged with pursuing and punishing mortals who broke infernal contracts.
    • As in 3rd edition and Pathfinder, whilst succubi can take male or female form as they desired, incubi exist and are treated as an entirely separate race of fiends. Specifically, they're succubi who followed the Archdevil Graz'zt into the Abyss and were mutated from Devils into Demons. 4e Incubi are still fairly manipulative, but much more focused on destruction, corruption and predation. They have the unique ability to assume the forms of beasts as well as mortals, and to invade dreams, which they use to torment, corrupt and slaughter mortal victims. Interestingly, 4e incubi aren't explicitly gendered, suggesting that just as you can have "male succubi", you can also have "female incubi".

Square Peg, Round Trope request

  • Spoiled Sweet is frequently misused for any rich or spoiled character who also happens to be nice or not a complete brat. Sometimes the character in question is just rich and nice without the spoiled part, which is not this trope (or any trope for that matter). The character has to be pampered and sheltered, genuinely sweet to everyone to the point of being naive, and adored by everyone, meaning a Lonely Rich Kid is disqualified by definition. Also, due to the nature of the trope, it's supposed to be Always Female, but people still add it to male characters.
