A Song Of Fire, Ice And Hearts Cover Poster
A Song of Ice, Fire and Heart is a fanfic written by Jebest4781. It is a crossover between Kingdom Hearts and Game of Thrones with elements of A Song of Ice and Fire and elements of other works such as Castlevania (2017).

The story takes place prior to the start of the first season of Game of Thrones and a slight diverge from the first season. Roxas arrives in Westeros and finds himself becoming an unwitting player of the Game of Thrones, "you win or you die" as the saying goes. Roxas travels across the continent and gains new allies, and enemies, both new and old. Will he be able to handle and survive the Game of Thrones?

It is hosted on fanfiction.net, and also has a prequel titled The Rebellion of Storm, Ice and Wind.

    #-M
  • Absurdly Spacious Sewer: With word of the Heartless were sighted in the sewers, the heroes were forced to travel through them and found some interesting treasures. But it wasn’t just the Heartless that were down there... The Unversed.
  • The Ace: Roxas, the main protagonist who has become quite famous across Westeros.
  • Acrofatic: While not much losing weight, Robert has started to improve a little during his training from Cloud to get back into shape. He was about to fight off the Heartless in his physical condition until he was mortally wounded.
  • Action Girl:
    • Arya Stark, youngest daughter of the House Stark and proven to be skilled in using a sword from her training with her sword dancing master.
    • Xion, a Nobody and former member of the Organization XIII.
    • Sypha Belnades, a member of the Speakers and skilled in elemental magic.
    • The Sand Snakes, all of whom appear to be proficient in at least one weapon. Obara has her spear, Nymeria her whip, and Tyene her daggers.
    • Arianne Martell being a skilled archer during the Tourney
  • Adaptational Badass:
    • Both Jon Snow and Robb Stark fighting the Heartless alongside Roxas. And even began to discover the ability to use magic.
    • The North beginning to set up an army to prepare themselves against the Heartless, even the locals learning to fight them began to form a group called The Huntsmen.
  • Adaptational Angst Upgrade: Myrcella surprisingly gained this trait of not only having Sansa taken from her to be tried by her brother, but also more angry that he's called off her betrothal to Roxas.
  • Adaptational Badass: Myrcella came marching into the throne room, straight to her half-brother and confronted him, making him look like a fool in front of everyone to witness after giving him a Bitch Slap and left the room with no punishment.
  • Adaptational Expansion: Slowly upon the near end of season 1, Game of Thrones would appear to be experience this later on.
  • Adaptational Sexuality:
    • Tyene confesses her love to Roxas and despite his marriage to Myrcella, not only she is willing to be his, mistress, but hers as well to be with him and openly admits to take an attraction to Sansa as well. Given her Dornish heritage and being the daughter of a Martell is hardly surprising.
    • This came somewhat a surprise as Myrcella and Sansa became very close unlike the books and TV series version, they had taken some advice from Arianne Martell, possibly some support from Margery Tyrell for two young teenage girls. After Sansa confessed to have strong love and affections for Roxas, rather than made or upset, Myrcella knew about it and considering the situation of marring to her half-brother, she proposed to have Sansa as both her’s and Roxas’ paramour after they wed. It came an unexpected surprise but willing to try out this new open relationship out by means of being with the keybearer.
  • Age Lift: Both Sansa (13) Myrcella’s (10) ages have been lifted in the fanfic version, at least close to Roxas' age but a year younger than him.
  • Animal Motif: Several examples in the story with some differences such as Myrcella associating more towards Stags from her father’s side and bit for a lion from her mother.
  • Anti-Magical Faction: The Faith of the Seven staunchly believes nobody ought to wield magic beyond the Seven-who-are-One. Roxas blatantly making use of spells to fight the Heartless drives a lot of septons and septas to be cold towards him as a consequence.
  • Armor-Piercing Question:
    • As Septa Mordane tries to paint a pretty future in which Sansa is Queen Consort, married to Joffrey and mother to his heirs, the Stark older daughter bluntly asks what will happen if she's unable to have sons. The septa does her best to avoid a direct answer and reassure her charge, but it doesn't prevent Sansa from grimly concluding everyone will likely blame her for something she's powerless to control.
    • Oberyn Martell forces Catelyn Stark to realize how irrational her distaste for bastards actually is by wondering if she's afraid of Jon Snow, what the boy could have done to her personally to deserve her wrath, and how she would react if Roxas was a bastard. This last question is the most impactful because as far as the Westerosi know, Roxas as an orphan who grew up without parents is very likely illegitimate.
    • Tywin asks Roxas how he can believe in honour and chivalry when the Kingsguard won't even protect the Queen from her rapist husband and innocent people from being tortured by their King. Roxas fires back that Tywin has no ground to stand on the matter since he condoned the Sack of King's Landing.
    • As Tywin and Olenna discusses Roxas and Myrcella's Arranged Marriage, the Tyrell matriarch wonders if Tywin considered the possibility of Roxas doing the same thing as Ventus and vanishing from Westeros entirely. Even if the Old Lion refuses to continue the conversation, he internally admits he thought of it and is very much frightened about the matter.
    • Robert is hell-bent on killing Daenerys and her unborn son, leading Ned to remind him how approving of Elia and her children's murder utterly ruined his friendship with Ventus, so why would the King believe Roxas would be alright with a pregnant girl being killed out of sheer paranoia? Robert is visibly shaken in the aftermath.
    • Tywin believes Cloud can be dealt with, since he's a mercenary and just like a sword, he "can be broken". Jaime reminds him that Cloud isn't exactly your run-of-the-mill mercenary, being gifted with Super-Strength and magic, and asks how someone else is supposed to kill him. Tywin doesn't answer to that.
  • Arranged Marriage:
    • Came as a shock for Roxas to find out Robert had decided to wed Roxas to his daughter, believing to make amends for his ‘father’ for the past mistakes. But he wasn’t the only one who had that in mind with Ned who would have taken the opportunity for Sansa after his wife gave the idea to honour Ventus’ legacy.
    • Another which follows Sansa betrothed to Joffrey, unlike her canon version, she doesn’t show any interest in the prince given she prefers a certain keybearer and easily learns about his cruel personality. Instead she pictured herself happily be married to Roxas due to his kindness and bravery for saving her.
    • Cersei and Robert's marriage was arranged after Robert's love, Ned's sister Lyanna, died. It turned out to be the second arrangement regarding Cersei, who was originally betrothed to Ventus until he mysteriously vanished.
    • Viserys arranges a marriage between his sister Daenerys and Khal Drogo of the Dothraki to secure an army for himself to get his ancestors' throne back. But as usually his plan didn't go as he thought it would.
  • The Artifact: There are TWO Princesses of Heart in Planetos!
  • Attack of the 50-Foot Whatever: The largest known Heartless was able to almost reach the height of the Twins
  • * Authority Equals Asskicking: several examples below:
    • Khal Drogo of the Dothraki, anyone who questions him would get killed.
    • The nights Watch have demonstrated this trait of using rank as well as gaining respect of their rank and status.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other:
    • Despite the times the Stark girls argue and treat each other badly, Sansa is willing to risk herself to protect her sister when the Heartless attacked and not wanting to tell their mother of losing her. Thankfully, they seemed to gotten on well with Roxas’ advice which Catelyn saw as a positive improvement.
    • After Robert announced the betrothal between his daughter to Roxas, the princess was thrilled about it but wanted to have an honest and loving relationship with Roxas and avoid being like her parents. Roxas didn’t show any resentment to her and still seem to accept it, even accepting her feelings for him and willing to know more about him.
    • Even though Roxas was against the idea of being engaged so sudden, he still treats Myrcella respectively as a person rather than her royal status, even the princess was fully aware that he wasn’t into the idea of marrying of royalty in the first place given it was her parents’ idea as she had been prepared for this as a princess. The two were willing to discuss it over and take time to know each other as the relationship slowly develop and helped him open up his feelings.
  • Back from the Dead: Viserys somehow was revived from his death and now has an army of Heartless to do his bidding. Fortunately he was defeated by Xion when underestimating her abilities.
  • Battle Couple: Roxas and Tyene.
  • Bat People: Against a horde of humanoid bats sent by Dracula’s army
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: As Roxas had earned the many attractions of many women from his age to older, usually to in hopes of lifting their status and reputation if earning his affections, that was before his betrothal to Myrcella. But only a handful appear to have that chance are Sansa, Myrcella and Tyene with how they grown close and know more about him out of general love and how he has treated them.
    • Even though Roxas did not like the idea of being betrothed without his say in it, this didn't stop him from treating Myrcella as a person rather by her royal status and thus her feelings for him grew.
  • Big Bad: The Organization XIII. As it turns out, Vanitas had a big impact to strike fear to the seven Kingdoms during the Rebellion. But it seems he’s not the only one when Viserys, revived from his death commands own Heartless.
  • Big Bad Wannabe: Joffrey is only a monstrous child because of his royal title and the backings of Vanitas, and also made things worse for his political situation.
  • Big Damn Hero: Cloud Strife on two occasions: stepping in Sandor’s place to save Loras from Gregor’s wrath in the Tourney and saving Tyrion from a Trial that would have cost him his life.
  • The Big Damn Kiss: And boy did Roxas not expected this during his adventures in Westeros, but didn’t get it from not just one, or two... but three girls completely in love with him!
    • One from Tyene Sand.
    • In chapter 28: He got a kiss from Myrcella in front of the crowd seeing as they are betrothed. And another near the end from Sansa.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Myrcella (blonde), Tyene (brunette), and Sansa (Redhead) are Roxas' potential love interests. They appear willing to share him.
  • Bond Creatures: The Stark children with their pet direwolves. Roxas and Cloud with their Chocobo birds.
  • Brutal Honesty: The North doesn't care for word games and meaningful riddles, viewing fancy speech as a waste of time. It helps them to take a shine to Roxas who's quite blunt and straightforward.
  • The Cameo: Aeon from Castlevania.
  • Camp Gay: Loras is a borderline example of this trope.
  • Cassandra Truth: As Roxas is mistaken for being the son of Ventus due to how similar they look, Roxas tries to find out about their connection but explains to Ned he couldn’t be, however, he decided to go along with the charade for the time being to find out.
  • Chekhov's Lecture: Syria gives a lecture to Arya the difference of watching and listening during her lessons with him.
  • The Chess Master: As Varys’s original plan with Magister Illyrio over the Dothraki invasion over the Dothraki invasion in the original version, only that have things slightly changed with the presence of Keyblade wielders in both Westeros and Essos, as well as the Heartless have made things complicated for their original plan to prevent war breaking out before they can take advantage of it.
  • Chocolate Baby:
    • Cloud forces Lysa Arryn to confess her son Robin isn't Jon Arryn's heir but rather her bastard by Littlefinger, as he points the similarities between the boy and the Master of Coin and asks the Valemen if they can see anything Arryn-looking in Robin.
    • Myrcella but not for the same reason than canon. Here, she actually is Robert's trueborn daughter, something proven by her blue eyes and her fiery temper, but she keeps her Lannister golden blond hair in spite of having a black-haired father.
  • Creepy Child:
    • Lysa's son Robin.
    • Rickon Stark when he sneaks in Bran's room in the middle of the night, saying that their parents and their brother aren't going to come back again.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Roxas has a habit of saving many people wherever he goes to fight off the Heartless.
  • Civil War: Robert's decision of making Myrcella queen instead of Joffrey would no doubt cause a civil war which he With Jeffrey's actions for impressing Ned Stark [[spoiler:and also killing Lewyn Martell with dark magic would cause the kingdoms to start another conflict which may be close to the War of the Five Kings from the canon version. Only of it to be something like the Sundering of Stags or the Atrocity of the Antlers.]]
  • Clingy Jealous Girl:
    • Whilst Sansa has develop strong romantic feelings for Roxas, when Robert announced the betrothal of not only his 'son' and Ned's daughter which she disapproved, but also Myrcella and Roxas, she couldn't help but feel jealous and wishing to been betrothed to him instead of the horrible prince. when she decided to tell Myrcella the truth, she was surprised the princess knew all along, even proposed the idea of making the eldest stark girl both their secret paramour once they are married, much to Sansa's surprise.
    • Tyene being a little possessive over Roxas when they passed by a brothel in King's Landing, giving a look to them to back off without Roxas’ awareness while focus on his keyblade business.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: Courtesy of his utter lack of experience regarding romance and sex, Roxas is thoroughly baffled when girls giggle and blush in front of him. He starts to understand their feelings for him over time and appears to slowly return the feelings to them.
  • Cluster F-Bomb: Considering it's a crossover with Game of Thrones, it's no surprise for most of the characters to use curses and swears.
  • Cool Key: It wouldn't be Kingdom Hearts if a Keyblade Wielder doesn't get new Keyblades to use:
    • Winter's Howl: Found it in Lyanna Stark's grave. Also works as Power Fist and Armed Legs in Formchange (Howling Wolf) for been based in Beowulf from Devil May Cry... with also a Rage Helm that looks like a snarling wolf.
    • Vampire Killer: Found it in Belmont Hold. This one invoque Variable-Length Chain because the Formchange (The Morning Cross) is based in a combination of Morningstar Vampire Killer from Netflix's series and the Vampire Killer Combat Cross from Castlevania Lords Of Shadow.
    • Xion got a new standard Keyblade: Seashell Resonance.
  • Crossover: Between Game of Thrones, Final Fantasy, and Castlevania. There is also the persistent knight, Ronvid of the Small Marsh, from The Witcher, although how he is in Westeros is a mystery.
  • Crossover Cameo:
    • Aeon from Castlevania makes an appearance in Twilight Town.
    • Edna Mode from The Incredibles has her own clothing store in Radiant Garden.
  • Culture Clash: Xion and Daenerys both share a mutual disgust of the Dothraki traditions of wedding, even for the cloned keybearer to have almost experienced an unpleasant moment from one of the guests. Fortunately averted when she put him in his place and learned that sparing his life is an act of humiliation.
  • Damsel in Distress: Being chased and threatened by the Heartless while she's a non-combatant, Sansa requires rescuing more than once. Myrcella would be in this situation considering she is a target for Vanitas to capture her.
  • Darker and Edgier: With the rampant Black-and-Grey Morality, Westeros (and later Wallachia) certainly is a very different World from the usual Disney fare. Ventus is hinted to have been unable to handle the sheer cynicism of the setting, as he disappeared entirely after Robert's Rebellion came to an end.
  • David vs. Goliath: Roxas up against the Mountain himself.
  • Dead Guy on Display: Tywin had made an example of an unfortunate bystander who had no power or authority to stop Cat from taking Tyrion away. This was disgusted by the Dwarf and Cloud.
  • Deal with the Devil: Joffrey making a pact with Vanitas does not go without payment, and whatever it is he wants in return can’t be good for everyone.
  • Death by Adaptation: The Mountain received this unexpected fate when he was turned into a Behemoth Heartless by Vanitas and ultimately killed by Oberyn Martell, fulfilling his revenge of his late sister and her children’s’ murder.
  • Deliberate Values Dissonance: Westerosi just won't stop Virgin-Shaming Ventus and Roxas and marvel at their stubborn chastity. Ventus was fourteen or fifteen years old when he visited the Seven Kingdoms and Roxas physically appears around the same age, which according modern criteria certainly would disqualify them from being mature enough to have sex.
  • Didn't Think This Through: On some examples:
    • Catelyn Stark arrested Tyrion despite Roxas’ strong claim that Tyrion would never bring harm to Brandon after being told the dagger used by the assassin belonged to him. Even Tyrion would never leave a dagger behind or have his own Valyrian steel as it owuld have been taken off him by his own father. Fortunately the potential issues between the Starks and the Lannisters was prevented by Cloud.
    • Obviously brains are not Joffrey’s strongest as for someone who had used dark shadows to attack Ned’s men and kill Lewyn Martell, he gave no thought at all to how this would result in a all out war with both The North and Dorne whilst in an occurrent conflict against the Heartless and Unversed as it was pointed out by Myrcella. Not to mention that the news of the Joffrey using dark magic would not sit well for him than being declared as the child born of incest.
  • Dies Differently in Adaptation:
    • The Mountain who gets turned into a Behemoth Heartless, he was ultimately killed by Oberyn Martell instead of the other way round.
    • Lewyn Martell gets killed by Joffrey using his shadows after proclaiming himself king.
    • In a fight with Viserys, Drogo was overwhelmed by his superhuman abilities and was killed in combat instead of Duur the godswife for sacking her village.
  • Dirty Coward: Prince Joffrey who likes to boast his status and make himself above everyone because he’s the royal prince of the Seven Kingdoms, but when it comes to combat and danger, he chickens out and lets someone else do the dirty work. Even had his ‘faithful’ bodyguard to fight in his stead in a soar against Roxas. He would even run away from the sight of Heartless, even leave the Stark girls in peril and save his own skin.
  • Don't Call Me "Sir":
    • Roxas had to remind several people not to call him “prince” when he is betrothed to Myrcella. This becomes an annoying trait that could lead him over the edge of his temper.
    • Myrcella asked Roxas to call her by her name and not her royal title.
  • The Dreaded: Vanitas and the Unversed to Westeros.
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: An elderly woman who showed up among the group in chapter 35, she recalls several dreams she had been having for some time now and hardly hd any sleep:
    • She recalls a dream of a beautiful woman, assaulted by men fighting one another to claim her. A legion of grey rats gnawed her flesh and slowly being poisoned beyond recovery. Only for someone to liberate her and give her a brighter future.
    • The second was a dream of a white dragon flying across the seas with no tides, travelling across foreign lands with allies. And in that journey would battle black ones. Shadowy beasts standing on a swaying bridge. On its back was a drowned crow with seaweed hanging from its wings. A crippled and trapped raven, pale as bone, which sought for freedom. Hungry and feasted off the corpses of those it cawed into their ears. Beasts long gone, returning as the sky is split asunder and a maiden star bled into motherhood. And also the last one were of keys, light and dark clashing. Life and death.
  • Duel to the Death: Cloud challenges a Tully knight for Tyrion’s life in a Trial of Combat.
  • Dual Wielding:
    • Roxas is able to wield two keyblades to fight against powerful Heartless and monsters in combat.
    • Cloud in some lesser extent.
    • Trevor uses both a whip and a short sword in conjunction.
  • Eating the Eye Candy:
    • It became a growing mention if Roxas gaining a lot of attention from the women around his age and older. One example from Sansa and Myrcella were secretly checking Roxas out when he took his shirt off to get ready for a bath in the tent after leaving. Mostly Sansa staring longingly at the blonde keybearer’s bare chest with fantasies until Roxas snapped her out of it in believe she ate something, the princess knew what she was actually thinking but had more control over her affectionate desires for him.
    • Joffrey was eying Sansa a like a piece of meat, yet she did not returned the gesture like in the books or Tv series.
  • Elemental Powers: Robb Stark is revealed to be able to use elemental magic.
  • Evil Cannot Comprehend Good: Joffrey firmly believes that Roxas’s selfless and heroic are nothing but a plot to gain favour among the Great Houses, even claim the throne for himself by charming the royalty and seducing Myrcella while it was the obvious fact that it was clearly Robert’s (and very likely Cersei’s) idea in the first place. Also to add that Roxas had no intention of being a prince in the first place when it was common to some, even Myrcella knows this. The Prince believed Roxas to be a Faceless Man using the face they are familiar with.
  • The Evil Prince:
    • Viserys for belief the Seven Kingdoms would rejoice to his return and even sold his sister to the Dothraki.
    • Joffrey is a Royal Brat, he even showed no sympathy to his ‘father’ after he was attacked by the Heartless. Worst, he made a pact with Vanitas to gain the throne, rid himself of Roxas while agreeing to some ‘conditions’ made but can’t be good.
  • Excellent Judge of Character: Sansa was able to tell something was off about the prince, when they took a walk in the Neck in an attempt to know about him being betrothed, she learned that Joffrey was nothing like a Prince Charming she envision, or anything like Roxas but the opposite.
  • Eye Scream: A priest loses one by Trevor’s whip and it's not a pleasant experience.
  • Face Death with Dignity:
    • Septa Mordane sends Sansa to Myrcella’s room, then walks towards the Lannister guardsmen who not only wielding bloody swords but have been corrupted by Joffrey’s shadows and accompanied by the Heartless.
    • Syrio challenging the Kingsguard even with the odds against him, but didn't hesitate to face them off to give Arya a chance to escape.
  • Fantasy Counterpart Culture: Roxas compared the Andal religion and Christianity almost similar to each other, and for their fanatical zealous followers such as the Bishop’s sadistic monks and the Faith Militant.
  • Foil:
    • Roxas, who is considered selfless and brave to help those in need to protect from the Heartless, while not of nobility or royal, he has earned a strong reputation across the Seven Kingdoms, where as Joffrey is selfish, cowardly, and cruel, believing himself as future king he can do whatever he likes.
    • Daenerys Targaryen is sweet and kind, but proved to build up a spine and gain the appreciation of the Dothraki Horde compared to her brother who had no army and no one to support him.
    • Myrcella being a royal princess and the half-sister to Joffrey is his complete opposite — where she is sweet, kind, open minded and takes her status as princess very seriously, Joffrey is spoiled and rotten to the core, abusing his status and claims he can do anything he likes as king. Arianne even considers supporting Myrcella to be the royal queen over her brother despite the rules of the first born to claim the throne.
  • Fantastic Racism: The Northerners were considered this by the South for various reasons by cultural beliefs such as their worship of the Old Gods and traditions. They are however respected in the Vale and the Stormlands.
    • Most of the Vampires have no care for humans other than seeing the whole race as prey or beneath them.
  • Fatal Flaw: There are some nobles who believe Roxas’ presence in King’s Landing is outmost important but don’t realise Vanitas and his Heartless would appear anywhere at an instant. This also applies to the followers of the Faith and the Septs who believe with him and his keyblade no longer in King’s Lansing their followers will flock to the church.
    • For Joffrey... Dear god, where to start... he’s cruel, not so bright, cowardly and abuses his royal status to do as he wishes.
  • The Fashionista: Roxas gets to wear his original clothes from the Digitized Twilight Town to avoid being makes as one of the members of Organization XIII by Edna Mode who works for the Restoration Committee in Radiant Garden for adventurers, warriors, and heroes for the challenge.
  • Fearless Fool: Loras Tyrell wanted to prove himself to others by joining Roxas' group to confront Vanitas after announcing his return. Despite being warned by his brother, Garlan not to confront the monster, yet he takes no heed of his warning when claiming his duty as a knight overclouds his rational thinking of how serious this is, luckily Roxas gets him to see how dangerous it is showing him the damage to the Dragon's Pit to make him understand of the danger he will face and won't survive but requested his place be in King's Landing to protect the kingdom with other knights should it be attacked.
  • First Kiss: Roxas who had no experience of romantic affections gets his first with some:
    • Myrcella having her first with him in the church in front of a cheering crowd by grabbing him by the shirt which he did not see coming and obvious she took some advice.
    • Sansa having her first actually kiss with Roxas instead of Joffrey.
    • Tyene snatches in up from Roxas during a dance.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Myrcella has demonstrated to be much more responsible following her duties as a princess compared to Joffrey.
  • Forbidden Love: Despite Sansa being betrothed to Joffrey to unite the two Great Houses, she still seeks the affections of Roxas even if he was engaged to Myrcella, she knew it would be wrong but unable to hold back her feelings for him. After decided to tell the princess the truth to avoid any fracture of their relationship, she did not expect for Myrcella’s proposal to take her as their secret paramour, given that such taboo is frowned upon to the most of Westeros.
  • Foreshadowing: Several examples:
    • Jon Snow receiving visions of being in the Dive to the Heart and visited by Namine. Having shared this with Roxas who realised it meant something in the near future was happening. Possibly be the potential to wield a Keyblade.
    • The members of the Organization XIII prepare themselves for the coming Keyblade War which would take place in the events of Kingdom Hearts III.
    • Arya given some visions of Joffrey taken by the Heartless, both her’s and Sansa’s wolves killed in what appeared to be an alternative of the prince getting away with his misdeeds.
    • The Whispers, the Arbiters of Fate are somehow present in Westeros, manipulating the main characters of Westeros from straying from their destined paths, including Ned who was unaware of their influence. Whatever reason for them can't be good.
    • Joffrey receiving a stab wound from the Iron Throne and dripping blood, easily noticeable by Sansa up close, which indicates the throne did not accept him as a suitable ruler as in the canon sources.
    • Robert's prediction of a civil conflict between the seven kingdoms for the throne or independence.
  • From Bad to Worse:
    • Viserys has been revived and now commands an army of Heartless. Terrorizing the Dothraki horde for making him a fool and seemingly killing Drogo, fortunately he was dealt with by Xion before he could settle on his plans to invade Westeros.
    • Joffrey not only as king but now with his pact with Vanitas made him even worse.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: Roxas has the hair and heart for the role, even if he is a Nobody. Myrcella fits the role and thankfully the opposite of Joffrey.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Joffrey of course, given how he reacts with fury if the mention of Roxas who was without title and status could do better than he does.
  • He-Man Woman Hater: Joffrey showing basically no respect for any of the women around him, even to his own sister who he believes was easily naive to fall for the keybearer despite the fact that is out of genuine affection. In his belief, women should know their place and do as they are told. He appears to tolerant women of Noble status but only for political purpose such as towards Margeary Tyrell and also somewhat to his mother.
  • The Heretic: At least time some of the Faith of the Seven who frown upon Roxas’ magic not of the gods as blasphemous, to them it should only be used by the righteous, and those of higher power, namely their gods. But they don’t seem to show it openly while reluctant to accept the betrothal to Myrcella.
  • History Repeats: When Robert decides to name Myrcella his heir on his deathbed, he's perfectly aware that it will cause yet another Dance of Dragons. Robert asked whether it be called the Sundering of Stags or the Atrocities of Antlers.
  • Improperly Paranoid: Joffrey strongly believes Roxas is either a Faceless Man using the face to assume the identity of someone known and to take the throne despite the obvious fact that Roxas has no interest for the throne.
  • Karmic Death: The Mountain who raped Elia Martell and murdered her, along with her children received a fitting death by Oberyn Martell when he was turned into a Heartless by Vanitas. Finally fulfilling his promise to avenge them.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: Seeing Roxas fight against the Heartless drives Sansa to fall for him instantly, and same to Myrcella and Tyene who were swept off their feet by his heroic deeds.
  • Like Father, Unlike Son: As Joffrey is nothing like his ‘father’ who is brave and willing to fight, Joffrey is a sniffling coward, runs form danger and
  • Lonely Rich Kid: Being a royal princess made it hard for Myrcella to have many friends, she quickly bonded with some of the Northern girls, especially Sansa.
  • Love Confession: Sansa confessed her love for Roxas to Princess Arianne who immediately suspected it, despite knowing he is betrothed to Princess Myrcella and then to Roxas before he leaves to hunt down Vanitas. And also Tyene.
  • Love Triangle: It seemed to started out this way with Sansa and Myrcella who both developed an immediate attraction to the keyblade Wielder, even when he’s betrothed to the princess. After Sansa came clean to confess to Myrcella, she already knew despite being betrothed to her brother, the princess had a solution to the issue while she is currently betrothed to the prince, Sansa would become both her and Roxa's secret paramour once they are married. A polyamorous relationship after taken advice from Arianne, which they took and made their relationship to a step further, even Tyene favour this.
  • The Magic Comes Back: By Roxas actions, few characters adquire the capacity to use magic.
  • Magic Mirror: Roxas obtained a magic mirror from his adventure Walluchia after the battle with the vampires, used it to keep in contact with his friends during his time in Westeros.
  • Mama Bear:
    • Catelyn Stark fearful of her children' safety from not just assassins or thugs for being members of the Great House, but from the Heartless.
    • Cersei Lannister displays many of this of the thought of her daughter when Vanitus proclaimed of hunting the princesses.
  • Mature Younger Sibling: Amongst the three children, it's Myrcella who's the most mature, especially for a child as young as herself. She's sharp and very strong-willed, in contrast to her cowardly, stupid and utterly vicious devil-spawn of an older brother. Arianne considers her to be most suitable to be queen unlike her brothers, even her father before his death announces her as his successor.
  • Mr. Fanservice: At least not intentionally for Roxas being shirtless when both Sansa and Myrcella came into his tent without knowing, both getting ideas for developing teen girls. Even Sansa couldn’t help but fixed on his physic.
  • Ms. Fanservice:
    • Tyene taking a bath. And also showing off her bare skin to Roxas before they had sex!
  • Muck Monster: The Lump of Horror becomes one thanks to Vanitas releasing it into the sewers.
  • Muggle Power: Despite Roxas being the only Keybearer in Westeros, word has spread across the seven Kingdoms of a group of people from the North banding together to fight off the Heartless, calling themselves the Huntsmen.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Danaerys finally got her wish to pursued Drogo to lead his riders and take her back to Westeros, not only reclaim her family heritage for her unborn child, but also his declaration to rape the women and enslave the children out of vengeance for attempting to assassinate her. This did not go as how she imagined her return to Westeros.
  • Mythology Gag:
    • Oberyn and his paramour Ellaria cheerfully discussed the possibility of fucking Cersei because they wanted to have a threesome with a blond in the book. In this story, they're shown to be quite interested in Cloud who's blond and not a swinger, thank you so much.
    • In Tales of Dunk and Egg, Duncan forces Egg to reconsider his stance on bastard by pointing himself as a likely product of illegitimacy. In the story, Oberyn Martell confronts Catelyn Stark on her bigotry regarding bastards by pointing Roxas as a likely product of illegitimacy.
    N-Z
  • Naïve Newcomer: At least upon Roxas’ arrival to Westeros where he had no basic knowledge of this world, but after spending time researching of their cultures and the history to know more about it came in useful.
  • Narnia Time: After finding himself engaged to Myrcella without being asked if he was okay with that, Roxas jumps in another world to blow some steam off. He spends two weeks in Wallachia fighting Heartless and Dracula, only to be informed that barely two days passed in Westeros when he joins the royal party again.
  • Never Heard That One Before: Roxas quickly gets fed up with everybody commenting on his physical likeness to Ventus when they meet him.
  • Nerves of Steel: Forced to adapt to a world of cruelty and death being common, this did not make Roxas loose his nerves, even when he witnessed a fanatical monk’s eye taken out by a whip.
  • No Animals Were Harmed: Thanks to Roxas’ intervention, Lady’s fate was averted and spared.
  • Not Afraid of You Anymore: Daenerys's time amongst the Dothraki and some encouragement from Xion has given her the self-confidence to stand up to her brother, no longer taking any more of his abuse. She makes it very clear to Viserys that the days of him bullying her into doing what he wants are over.
  • Noble Wolf: The Starks. Main example of their honor bound and take their duty of ruling the North very serious.
  • Not What It Looks Like: Amusingly, Alucard watching Tyene pulling Roxas to her chest made him think Roxas was a womaniser and influenced by Belmont.
  • Obnoxious In-Laws: When Trevor learns of Roxas being engaged to a genuine princess, the Belmont asks if the Greater Nobody drags his feet because of her family. Roxas admits he's not exactly overjoyed by the prospect of getting related to a fat drunk who won't stop cheating on his wife (Robert), an epic Royal Brat who constantly throws tantrums (Joffrey) and an overprotective uncle (Jaime). Later in the story, he meets Tywin and isn't really impressed by the old man's ruthlessness either.
  • Oblivious to Love: At the earlier part of the story, Roxas has demonstrated to be oblivious to know of many girls in Westeros have taken an immediate interest in him, especially for three young girls wanting him, at least until he was suddenly betrothed to Myrcella. This would be do to having existed for a short period of time as a Nobody, but does however, begin to understand these feelings and starting to return their affections.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • The Unversed who had invaded Seven Kingdoms during the Rebellion.
    • Vanitas’ return shocked the whole of Westeros who experienced the atrocities he committed.
    • Loras when he realizes that the Mountain is about to attack him with a sword at the Tourney of the Hand. Loras doesn't have a weapon at this point, only a shield to protect himself.
    • Tyrion's reaction to Catelyn talking a whole tavern into arresting him.
    • Ned realises not only are Cersei’s children born of incest, but the princess is in fact the only true born daughter of Robert’s when he mentioned of her eyes. What’s worst, the Stark Patriach could have started a civil war when he sent a letter to Stannis Baratheon of the news.
    • Valerys not only revived from the dead… but now has the Heartless under his command.
    • The Seven Kingdoms was in a state of panic when they found out Vanitas had returned. As revealed that he played a big part in the Rebellion and earned quite the reputation.
    • If it wasn’t for just the Heartless to worry about, they now have the Unversed.
  • Only Sane Person:
  • The Organization: The Organization XIII.
  • Parental Neglect: While Robert has not raised Joffrey (considering him a disappointment) and Tommen properly, he seems to be more affectionate towards his daughter, Myrcella, even going as far as making her his royal successor over Joffrey despite the traditions.
  • Parting-Words Regret: When Elia Martell and her children's corpses were presented to Robert, Ventus was horrified and had a violent row with his friend before storming out and disappearing from Westeros entirely. Robert never stopped wishing for them to have separated in different circumstances since that day.
  • Perfectly Arranged Marriage: Despite the awkward moment for Roxas, Myrcella understood how he felt when it was sudden because of her father as she had been prepared for this her entire life as a princess, fortunately after some encouragement to open up and getting to know each other, he started to develop a sense of mutual affections for her. Unfortunately, Joffrey who never agreed to this sort of arrangement his parents made, he called off the bethroth despite the fact that he is not yet king, much to the anger cause of his hatred towards Roxas for being better than he is.
  • Politically Incorrect Villain:
    • Joffrey’s openly misogynistic remark about women cannot claim the Iron Throne, despite the fact that Robert had Named his daughter as queen. although he would be mistaken as according to Westeros’ history, the only known queen to have claimed it was rheanyra Targaryen, even for a short moment of time.
    • Again towards Roxas for his believe that he came from a ‘country’ that is more back-watered than Westeros to not know how to behave to royalty. Oblivious to the fact the closes Roxas has to a ‘home’ is much more advance. Even believes he should demand some respect from the keybearer despite not being born in Westeros.
  • Puppy-Dog Eyes: After confessing her feelings for Roxas, Sansa gave her mother the full effect when begging her to pursue her wish to marry him.
  • Pyrrhic Victory: Robert's rebellion came to a victory and resulted in him being crowned king, but the woman he loved and for whom he fought died, and Ventus whom he considered a brother and fought alongside had vanished after the death of Rhaegar's wife and children being condoned by Robert.
  • Quit Your Whining: Jon found it unfair that he was made a steward instead of a Ranger when Pyp reminded him that the world isn’t fair when Jon told him how he was sent to the Night’s Watch when denying sexual favours to a High Lord of Acorn Hill who falsely accused him of theft.
  • Related Differently in the Adaptation: Ned Stark was astonished when he learned not only are Robert’s children born of incest, but during a conversation with Lewyn Martell came to the realisation that Myrcella Baratheon is the true offspring.
  • Their First Time: There had been some moments when Roxas gaining affections of certain ladies who made a move on him, it was hard to know if something was going to happen.Until chapter 38, when he first confessed to Tyene of what he is and decided to do something to make it worth the moment, they had their first time.
  • The Reason You Suck: Myrcella giving a stern response and unable to understand what went on in Joffrey’s mind to even think he can get away with his actions of locking Ned Stark and killing Lewyn Martell without consequences, even scolded him of how he can use shadows without. And also of how he abuses his power when not a true king yet. But let’s not forget how she reacted when he unofficially called off her engagement to Roxas.
Joffrey: And you think they will accept you and that bastard as king? It is I who is the rightful heir!
Myrcella: Even if Roxas didn't want it, many would still say he would make a greater king than you.
Joffrey: He is nothing more than a wretched upstart who needs to remember his place!
Myrcella: And you're just a jealous, spiteful monster who can't stand the fact that he's nothing compared to Roxas.
  • Royal Brat: Joffrey certainly fits the bill! Thankfully his siblings don't seem to share this and more nicer. Viserys was very demanding like the whole world revolved around him.
  • Redemption Equels Death: the last person anyone expected was none other than “Cerseie” herself. Choosing to work with Ned and even risk saving her daughter, even at the cost of being stabbed in the chest by Vanitas’ keyblade.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: Most of the lords and nobles of Westeros who actually fight with their armies.
    • With the Heartless wrecking havoc across Westeros, Robert actually decided to take up training to get back into shape.
    • Rob Stark prepares an army to rescue his father and sisters who were held hostage in King’s Kandjngk rather than sit around and do nothing,
  • Screw This, I'm Out of Here!!:
    • Hardly surprising if Joffrey sees the Heartless, he’d make a run for it to save his own skin.
    • After Robert's death, Renly decided to make his leave when Ned refuse to support his claim for the throne when he promised to support Myrcella for the throne.
  • Series Mascot: The moogles are expanding their business in Westeros.
  • Shrouded in Myth: It remained a mystery for whatever caused Ventus’ disappearance after the Rebellion, Robert blamed himself for his departure.
  • Single Woman Seeks Good Man: The reason why Roxas is so popular with women, as a genuine hero who fights everyday to protect the innocents and does his best to be polite and kind to everyone. some have actually earned a place for his heart.
    • First with Sansa who at first had a crush on him and eventually fallen for him over time as she gotten to know him.
    • Myrcella who was betrothed to him also became smitten by him and started to fall in love which is one o the rare moments of an engagement between Nobel houses.
    • Cersei reveals that Tywin considered offering her hand to Ventus and she was fully aboard the plan because he was just that sweet a guy, leaving her utterly heartbroken when he disappeared.
  • Spoiled Sweet: Myrcella Baratheon.
  • Smitten Teenage Girl:
    • Sansa was instantly head over heals with Roxas the moment she saw his face and by his bravery of facing off the Heartless. She practically thought fo him as from the stories of brave knights. While she later learned of his betrothal to Myrcella, she could not let go of the feelings and grew more to into love and even open to sharing him.
    • Myrcella Baratheon, a royal princess admit when she was with the girls she found Roxas handsome and developed a crush on him even if he wasn’t a noble or a prince. Even when they were betrothed she took time to know him to form a bond and understood it wasn’t his wish and still respected her as a person, which she started to show her affections by given him her necklace before he left.
  • Spared By Adaptation:
    • In chapter 11, Lewyn Martell would have been killed in the Battle of the Trident during the Rebellion had it not been for Ventus’ timely intervention, saving his life and lived a few more years with his family. Unfortunately he would only be then killed by Joffrey’s dark shadows during the Coup.
    • Thanks to Roxas’ help, Lady was spared from being killed, even the butcher’s son Mycah was saved by Cloud.
  • Star-Crossed Lovers: with Roxas being a Nobody from another world unexpectedly finds romance on Westeros with Sansa Stark from The North, Myrcella Baratheon from King’s Landing, and Tyene Sand from Dorne.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: As implied given to Roxas to be the exact spitting image of his ‘father’ Ventus, which led to him wonder if he looks like him to know more about Ventus.
  • Summoning Artifact: Roxas and few other got Summoning Tags to invoque several beings:
    • Roxas: Ifrit and his Golden Chocobo; Chocho.
    • Cloud: Leviathan and his Black Chocobo; Jojo.
    • Xion: Yojimbo.
  • The Tourney: The Hand's Tourney, though it was going smoothly until Vanitas came uninvited.
  • Transparent Closet: Renly Baratheon and Loras Tyrell. Cloud immediately pegs them as lovers after meeting them, and the Martells knew about the relationship since they visited Dorne some years ago — Arianne comments their attempt to hide is positively adorable, to Renly's utter dismay.
  • Unbalanced By Rival's Kid: Subverted when Cersei meets Roxas. Everyone outside of a very select group of people is ignorant of Roxas' true origin as Sora's Nobody, so they have all become Entertainingly Wrong in the belief that Roxas is the Identical Son of Ventus, who happened to be Cersei Lannister's First Love (outside of her brother, of course).
  • Villainous Breakdown: Viserys's first breakdown when he was restrained by the Dothraki. And also in his revived state as a Heartless in his battle against Xion.
  • Villain Reveals the Secret: As Robert lies on his deathbed, Vanitas comes to tell him that Lyanna never loved him at all and willingly eloped with Rhaegar out of sheer cruelty.
  • Would Hurt a Child: The Hound was willing to run down and kill Mycah. Thankfully subverted due to Cloud saving the boy’s life.
    • In the tourney, Gregor is willing to kill Roxas in the arena, whether or not he is aware of his betrothal to the royal princess. But somehow answers the question.
  • Undying Loyalty: The Samurai Nobodies remain loyal to Rxoas even after his defection. They have followed his orders to fight alongside the Starks and Martells during the coup against the corrupted Lannisters.
  • Unknown Rival: Ronvid declaring the Greater Nobody as his ‘rival' yet always bested in the duels he challenges, much to Roxas’ annoyance.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Averted for Roxas being Sora’s Nobody when he is more mature and understands how things work when he use to work with the Organization XIII. Seeing violence and death is no strange to the Greater Nobody.
  • Women Are Wiser: Myrcella perfectly balances her brothers' most defining traits, according to Arianna; she's assertive without being cruel like Joffrey, and is kind without being timid like Tommen, making her a perfect candidate of being queen. Unfortunately, despite this making her the Baratheon sibling who would be the best ruler, the fact she's a woman puts her last in the succession. this is now considered no longer the case when the truth of her heritage and her brothers not Robert's children at all, her father made sure of it to make her his successor.
  • Worthy Opponent: Well... At least that’s Ronvid what claims when he fought Roxas on three occasions, but in truth isn’t actually a skilled knight as he proclaims. But seems to be a little better than their previous match.
  • You Can Talk??: A certain reaction from any man from Westeros who encounter creatures that can speak.
  • You Have Failed Me: Ser Barristan was forced to relinquish his status of the King's Guard made The Scapegoat for King Robert's death. Princess Myrcella did not take this news well, especially that it was from her brother's orders.
  • Young and in Charge: In a surprising turn of event, Robert had decided to make Myrcella the queen of the Seven Kingdoms, instead of Joffrey as by tradition of royalty. Which would have made Roxas king Consort by betrothal. However, with Joffrey taking the Iron Throne… we all know this will turn out.
  • You Wouldn't Like Me When I'm Angry!: Unexpectedly Myrcella after not only taking Sansa away on, but also for inadvertently starting a war with the Starks and the Martells, but that did not come close to when she found out about Joffrey calling off her betrothal, she did not take it very well and gave a startling response that even intimidated her half-brother. Something that many nobles and even Varys never expected to see and saw more of her father in her.
