When I find myself in forum trouble,
Then the mods will come to me,
Whacking trolls with thumpsticks,
We are free.
And in our fun discussions,
They are still there, right behind me.
Whacking trolls with thumpsticks,
We are free.
We are free,
We are free,
We are free, oh we are free.
Thump those trolls with thumpsticks, we are free.
Someone wrote an IJBM parody of this about eleven years ago. I'm simply carrying on the legacy.
It's twelve o' clock on a Saturday,
The edit-banned crowd shuffles in,
There's an old mod a-lurking right next to me,
Making love to their wiki and bin.
They say, "Boy, remember when I was the one there"?
"Seems like it's been a few years",
"But I'm old, I remember the Eddie days of yore."
Nothing ever is as it appears.
Ban us a troll, you're the modder man,
Catch a sockpuppet tonight,
Well we're all in the mood for some schadenfreude,
And you've got us hyped-up, all right.
Now ATT at the rec is a pal of mine,
Gets me my popcorn for free,
'Cause I log in one day, well, it starts off okay,
But someone's sad about this wiki.
And the staff folks are chatting about space and stuff,
And they process the latest intake,
Yes, they're sharing a moment, to talk to the folks,
Who broke one of the wiki's rules.
Thump us a flame, you're the modder man,
Ban a sockpuppet tonight,
Well we're all in the mood for some sweet karma,
And you've got us hyped-up, all right.
It's a pretty good crowd for a YF thread,
And the mod in charge gives me a grin,
'Cause he knows that we're here, to talk, chat, shout, and peer
As long as we keep it locked in.
Now a troll has snuck in and started a war,
We send out a Holler and wait,
And when the mods appear we close our eyes and await,
The banhammer's wrathful embrace.
Nuke us a thread, you're the modder man,
Lock a drifted topic tonight,
Well we're all the in the mood for some sweet karma,
And you've got us hyped up, all right.
Stop a flame war, you're the modder man,
Ban a crazy spammer tonight,
Well we're all in the mood for some stress relief,
And you've got us hyped up all right.
ATT Post Draft
This is not a question, but more advice and a solution for people who want to use the arrow/emoticon feature in Ask The Tropers without typing "[\up\]" (which doesn't actually work) or "^".This took an irritatingly long time to figure out, mostly because the image markup doesn't actually work with any images outside the "/public" directory (which is what the smilies are). Apparently you have to throw the entire link in instead.
Anyway, I think I managed to get it. Copy and use the markup as much as you want to! (You can also highlight the emoticon and use the old copy+paste.)

Forum thread thing:
I’m amazed how there isn’t a forum thread for Object Shows in general, so I went ahead and created one.
To start off this thread, episode 5 of The Daily Object Show: Beach Battle was released 20 hours ago. Earlier this year, Fusion (the creator of The Daily Object Show) saw the TV Tropes page, and said that he though it was pretty accurate.

Come play Character Uplift Game!My general object show thread was locked and discontinued, so I went ahead, got more specific, and created a thread for Battle for Dream Island. Honestly, I am amazed how there isn’t a thread for the show.
2 days ago, The Loser Plush was released. Cary and Michael have said that they were going to release 2 more plushies soon, when they announce it.
Why was it locked in the first place?

- SPYĂ—FAMILY:
- "Inusan Crisis Arc": Keith Kepler, alias Kevin Knowles, is the leader of a group of Ostanian college-aged isolationists. Strapping explosives to a pack of dogs, Keith intends to use the explosives to assassinate Westalian Foreign Minister Brantz in order to start a war between Ostania and Westalis. When the young Anya Forger eavesdrops on Keith and his co-conspirators, Keith attempts to have her killed against the objections of his co-conspirators, only for Yor "Thorn Princess" Briar, Anya's adoptive mother, to rescue her. After his co-conspirators are taken into custody, Keith sets up an explosive-laden door for his pursuers, including Anya's adoptive father, Loid "Twilight" Forger, callously threatening the lives of Ostanian civilians in the process and saying they should at least take pride in dying for their country.
- "Princess Lorelei Cruise Arc": "Snoops", the otherwise unidentified information broker for Leonardo Hapoon, is a wireless operator and surveillance expert hired to track down mob family member Olka Gretcher and her infant son on behalf of a band of assassins. Keeping track of Olka and the rest of the ship and feeding the assassins information, Snoops intends to abandon his cohorts when the mission is complete, leaving them to die when they are confronted by Yor. Seemingly only bugging the cruise to track down the targets in question, Snoops has —as Loid and Anya discover—actually rigged several explosives aboard the ship, intending to frame Westalian terrorists for his own crimes, expressing a desire for the soon-to-be sinking ship to "serenade" him with their screams.

Come play Character Uplift Game!Typing something for an IP thread:
The page has a tag on it, so I have to suggest images in a thread. This image is from the adaptation of Bluebeard.
My concern for my suggestion is that it might be a major spoiler, as it comes from the scene where Josephine finds Bluebeard’s corpse room, with hanging dead corpses of his wives. Because the hanging dead wives is straight from the original story, and that we have a trope called The Bluebeard, I just want to see if it is an issue or not.
If it is too spoilery, I also have another suggestion. This one is from The Godfather of Death.

Outside end-folder markup
The page has a tag on it, and I have multiple suggestions, so I have to suggest images in a thread. As the show is an anthology series, and the series follows most of the time faithfully with the original stories, most spoilers shouldn’t be an issue.
Note that this is my first thread for a Nightmare Fuel subpage, which I have suggestions for, so I apologize if the examples I present are weak.

About spoilers, as long as the trope name itself isn't concealed in an example, there's no spoiler markup above the example line (in the character's description) and perhaps what I mentioned above considered, anything goes, most likely. Then again, also as stated by Handling Spoilers, you should
