Recurring Worlds

Parallel Worlds that the party often come into contact with.

Kanade Parallel World

The home of the main XDU Kanade and the first parallel world the party comes into contact with. This world largely resembles the main timeline, but events played out differently. In this world, Tsubasa died during the Zwei Wing concert instead of Kanade, leaving her to be the only known gear user left in this world. First appeared in the event The One-Winged Performer.

Saint-Germain

Faust Robe Type II
A Saint-Germain that Kanade encountered. She is tasked to find the Adam Sphere, but due to a misunderstanding to be Alicia's Remnant, she ends up getting into conflict with Kanade. Debuted in the Alchemic Order event.
  • BFS: Her sword in Faust Robe Type II is noticeably much bigger.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Arrives to assist the gear users in their fight against Ouroboros during the finale of the Gjallarhorn arc.

Adam Weishaupt

An alternate Adam that the party met in Kanade's parallel world and the leader of the Alchemy Society. Debuted in the Alchemic Order event.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Arrives to assist the gear users in their fight against Ouroboros during the finale of the Gjallarhorn arc.
  • Big Good: Along with Genjuro. Unlike the main timeline Adam, the Adam in this timeline is a genuine good guy even though he occasionally looks suspicious.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: In Memories Shining in Gold event, as he suddenly went back to his prime counterpart role, only to turns out he was controlled by Samael a self-proclaimed Anunnaki.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer:
    • At one point, he created a resort so the party can enjoy their vacation... unfortunately, him using the Adam Sphere in the wrong manner caused the robot staff to went berserk.
    • During a 2020 April's Fool day, There is a short event focus on a group of Alca Noises. Which turns out to be his movie script. Everyone's reaction is less than amused for gathering them just for his silly movie except for Mika who seems to enjoy it.
  • Good All Along: So much that the Gear users and Saint-Germain's team lose count of how many times their suspicions of Adam turn out to be unfounded.
  • Nice Guy: He looks outwardly suspicious, but his internal dialogue indicates that he genuinely means well. He also genuinely cares about his employees, unlike his prime counterpart who saw them as nothing but tools.
  • Parental Substitute: To Carol post her Heel–Face Turn, as he is the one giving a Carol a new reason to live for. Not that she is gonna admit to him.
  • The Promise: He promised Carol's father that he would look after her if something ever happened to him. Unfortunately, Carol ran away, stole the Chateau, and prepared to cause havoc like her main timeline counterpart. Adam doesn't hold any ill will towards her, simply waiting for her to return on her own.

Faust Robe Type Lapis Philosophicus
An alternate Carol that the party met in Kanade's parallel world. Like her main counterpart, Carol was in the middle of planning the "Magical Girl Incident," but the plan was postponed due to her suffering memory loss from abusing her power and later due to her plan getting hijacked by her own homunculus, Noel.
  • Big Damn Heroes: Arrives to assist the gear users in their fight against Ouroboros during the finale of the Gjallarhorn arc.
  • Easy Amnesia: As part of her memories was lost, this gave her more time to think about her father's last words. Through the efforts of Hibiki and Saint-Germain's teams, Carol finally comes to realize what her father was trying to tell her, causing her to avoid Jumping Off the Slippery Slope as her main counterpart did.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Starts out as the villain for about ten minutes before getting hijacked by Noel. She stays neutral for half of the event, and then firmly takes the good guys' side in the finale.

Genjuro Kazanari

  • Adaptational Wimp: This Genjuro can't fight because his favorite movie genre in this timeline isn't action.

Cagliostro and Prelati

  • The Napoleon: Prelati often gets into arguments with more hot-headed people like Kanade or Chris.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Saint-Germain like their main counterpart. They eventually ask S.O.N.G. to help save Saint-Germain when her Superpowered Evil Side takes over her.

Auto-Scorers

  • Brainwashed and Crazy: Got reprogrammed by Noel to follow his orders.
  • No-Sell: Kanade has no problem handling their tricky attacks at all (Justified that Kanade had a fight them before during The Three Spears of the Sun event), but she can't really beat them all due to their numbers.

    Antagonists 

Noel

A mysterious figure who looks oddly similar to both Carol and Elfnein. Later reveal to be a homunculus belonging to Carol. Debuted in the A Song for Knowing the World event.
  • Evil Counterpart: To Elfnein. While Elfnein interpreted Carol's father's last words to her in a positive light, Noel interpreted them in a negative light, just like the original timeline's Carol did, except in an even more twisted way.
  • Face–Heel Turn: It's implied that his twisted personality came from the first time he got into contact with Dainsleif, after which he slowly changed for the worst.

Samael

A self-proclaimed Anunnaki and Adam's Master. appeared in Memories Shining in Gold event.
  • Arch-Nemesis: To Carol and Adam, As it's reveal the dead of Izak is indirectly cause by him.

Serena Parallel World

The home of main XDU Serena. In this world, Maria successfully saves Serena after she performed her Superb Song. But Maria is eventually is killed off by Karma Noise. First appeared in the event Innocent Sister.

Professor Nastassja

  • Last Request: Maria asked her to take care of Serena before she died.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: She is openly shown to be much nicer and protective of Serena like a typical mother taking care of her child.

Fine Parallel World

A world without the Symphogear system and only exist in theory, instead Fine created a new weapon based on Symphogear relics to fight against the Noise. First appeared in Recapture Operation event.
    Major Characters 

Fine

A Fine who already took over Ryoko's body but for some reason, stays as a Researcher.
  • Bait-and-Switch: After she first activated her Nehushtan relic by using the Phonic Gain of Hibiki's party, it's was as if she was going to turn on them (Doesn't help she laugh in evil manner while doing so). Only to help them clean up the Noise afterward.
  • Heel–Face Revolving Door: She is actually planning to carry out her plan just like her prime counterpart did, however she is shown to be more hesistate. She later gain some part of her prime counterpart memories once she made a contact with Shirabe. She give up her all plan altogether midway once Hibiki conviced her.
  • Super Mode: Her Nehushtan Armor has a second form which is much stronger.
  • Mission Control: Supports Genjuro when he is going out to battle.

Genjuro Kazanari

Genjuro with RN Gungnir
A leader of the 2nd Division Mobile Disaster Response Corps and the user of RN Gungnir.

Dr. Ver

  • Bait-and-Switch: Just like Fine above, when Nephilim relics awaken and mutated on his hand by Phonic Gain. He then perform his classic Evil Laugh only to help the Symphogear clean up the Noise afterward.
  • Bash Brothers: He is often seen accompanied by a few unnamed Red Shirt whose often had a bickering with Ver himself mostly from his crazy antics.
  • Butt-Monkey: His role is pretty much a comic relief on good guy side.
  • The Friend Nobody Likes: A running gag, he is considered to be a valuable ally both in and out battle but no one is particularly happy when he shows up.
    Dr. Ver: The HERO has arriveeeed!!

Shinji Ogawa

Shinji with RN Ame-No-Habakiri
Unlike his main counterpart, he originally doesn't belong to Genjuro's group. Later becomes the user of RN Ame-No-Habakiri and join their group. Debut in The Sword That Mows Down Fire event.
  • Adaptational Badass: Like Genjuro, he can now fight against Noise with his RN Ame-No-Habakiri.
  • Frog Ninja: Begin a ninja he can summon this creature.


Sharon Parallel World

A world where Hibiki met a mysteries girl Sharon. The Symphogear system exists but there are no wielders in Japan and the only gear user on FIS is already killed off by Karma Noise.

Tsubasa Kazanari

The Tsubasa of this world, who is noted to be very similar to the main counterpart.
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: This Tsubasa seem to get over her Heroic BSoD sometime offscreen before the event took place thus she isn't antagozied toward this world Hibiki unlike her main counterpart in the first season.

Miku Kohinata

Hibiki's friend who moved away after Zwei Wing accident.
  • Last Episode, New Character: Native Miku appeared at the end of the A Light That Pierces the Clouds event once the main Miku went back to her world.

Mechvaranus World

When S.O.N.G. suddenly get attacked by mysterious creatures lead by the Cloaked Figure. Hibiki, Tsubasa and Chris chased after figure only to end up the parallel world where they met the parallel of Hibiki's friends who don the Mechvaranus to fight against Noise.

    Mechvaranus Users 
A new type of weapon. Used by Yumi, Shiori, and Kuriyo (also known as Dragon Princess). It's come in the form of a bracelet. Unlike Symphogear and Faust Robe, it's doesn't use Phonic Gain as a power source. Its basic output is inferior to Symphogear.
  • Ascended Extra: Hibiki's Those Three Girls friends who were having less and less screentime as seasons pass, here they are the main characters of the events.
  • Bad Powers, Good People: Dragon Princess team are good people. The Mechavaranus relics on the other hand used the power based on Azhdaha dragon.
  • Next Tier Power-Up: Mechavaranus has D-Module system but it's always locked for their safety. Until Fudo unlocked it, the name was later revealed to be the Devastator Module. Similar to Ignite Module in a sense as it increases the power dramatically. However, the user can potentially become a Dragon-like monster and cost the user their life.
  • Super Mode: Succeed in achieved Devastator Mode after tanking a hit from SC 2 A Seven Burst.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Symphogear Users easily beat the Dragon Princess team during their first encounter. But the constant upgraded by taking various data taken from Symphogear eventually made them on par with the gear user.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Their power output is considered to be pretty low however they use their combination to make the job done.

Yumi Itaba

  • Beam Spam: In D-Mode, instead of using bow, she can fire various kinds of beam-like projectiles.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: Cursed Symphogear User and swear to kill them after they seemingly killed-off Kuriyo. Fortunately the latter recovered.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Like Chris she is focus on range attacks.
  • Theme Naming: Her weapon is a bow. Yumi can also mean bow.

Shiori Terashima

  • The Smart Guy: Served as one for the Trio. She also figured what going on during the second part but just acts like she is following the Big Bad orders because she knows that they are being monitored.

Kuriyo Andou

  • Killed Off for Real: Subverted. This was what was thought to have happened to her at the end of the first part, but she actually survived.
  • Wolverine Claws: In D-Mode, her main weapon are sharp claws.

    Supporting Characters 

Fudou Kazanari

A former commander of Sector 2. Unlike his prime counterpart, Fudou is very approachable and a gentleman, watching Anime and even let's Lydian students called him Grandpa much to Tsubasa's shock.
  • Karma Houdini: He still gets away scot-free by the end of the event.
  • Nice Guy: A very nice and easy-going old man It's just a facade.

Kageyoshi Nagi

A current commander of Sector 2. A rather fat middle-age man and a former hacker.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: For the bad guy side. He always looks silly and kind of a loser, this prove villain plan failed due to his Crazy-Prepared beforehand.
  • Killed Off for Real: After learning the one behind the current event, he is killed-off shortly after that or so he is actually Not Quite Dead as he expected this to happened and wear an Anti Beam Coating beforehand.

Yurin Haijima

A first-year student. A small girl who often interacted with Hibiki and Yumi party during their time at school.
  • Ascended Extra: She is known as Student B during the first part of the event. She reveals her name after helping Hibiki's party
  • Foreshadowing: The Cloaked Figured appears to be a student from Lydian and a pretty small one at that. Guess who fits the criteria?

Parallel Shirabe World

When Kirika is kidnapped by a group of androids that came from another parallel world, Tsubasa and Maria were sent to investigate the situation only to find Kirika herself standing in their way.

Dr. Ver

Shirabe's assistant. Though he is yet another version of Dr. Ver that the party encounters, this one is noticeably more sane compared to his other counterparts, though he still retains his suspicious personality.
  • Actor Allusion: This Ver happens to be a Butt-Monkey with a sweet tooth, quite like one of Tomokazu Sugita's most famous roles.
  • Becoming the Mask: According to him, he went along with Shirabe's plan to reawaken the Parallel Kirika with the intent of betraying them later when the situation proved useful for him. However, after spending time with Shirabe and seeing her efforts to bring her friend back, he was moved enough to the point of pulling a Heel–Face Turn and deciding to support them for real.
  • Butt-Monkey: He is frequently called an "idiot assistant" by Parallel Shirabe and is on the receiving end of her deadly kicks when she is irritated.
  • Genius Sweet Tooth: He mentions on more than one occasion that he loves sweets.
  • Good All Along: Considering he's Dr. Ver, the Adaptors are rightfully wary of him, which makes it all the more surprising when they realize that this Ver is legitimately a Nice Guy and supportive of Parallel Shirabe's efforts to reawaken the comatose Parallel Kirika. To drive the point further, he shows distress by their reactions towards him and wonders just what sort of person his counterpart was.
  • Mentor: Acts as this for the Parallel Shirabe, teaching her everything there is to know about science and robotics.
  • Smart People Build Robots: One of the defining characteristics that separates this Ver from the others; his field of study is robotics instead of biochemistry.

Other Antagonists

    Karma Noise 
A new type of Noise and recurring villains that exist in many parallel worlds. Unlike normal Noise, Karma noise often show up alone or in very small groups at best but still more deadly than a whole army of regular ones.
  • Boss in Mook Clothing: Looks exactly like a typical Noise that is painted in a black color scheme and is much more powerful than a regular one by a wide margin.
  • Fusion Dance: It can merge with many objects and/or causing a mutation to certain relics.
  • Healing Factor: One of the Karma Noise's main strengths is to completely go back to full health if the attackers fail to finish them off fast enough.
  • Made of Iron: Symphogears can normally one-shot a normal Noise. Karma Noise, on the other hand, is just as tough as if they are fighting against the Big Bad.

    Cell Alca Noise 
A new type of Alca Noise. Parallel Hibiki encountered during Lost Song event. Unlike the usual Noise their shape looks akin to a Block monster.
  • Self-Duplication: While it's not much tougher than regular Alca Noise, they can split its body whenever they are damaged.

Gjallarhorn Arc Characters

A Story Arc that splits into 4 Chapters, each Chapter took place after certain normal story events. The arc can be considered to be All-Star/climax story where both major and support characters of previous events show up.Beware of unmarked spoilers!

    Antagonists 

Bell/Beatrice

A young singer diva. Later reveals to be the leader of the organization, Ouroboros.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: For most of the event can be tracked down to her as she is the one who created the Karma Noise.

LOST SONG Arc Characters

A second major arc, focusing on Parallel Hibiki aftermatch of her event. Like Gjallarhorn Arc each chapter take place after certain normal story events.

    Elekleid Users and T.E.C.

The 4th transformation type weapon introduced in Lost Song. Used by Starlit, Lala and Forte (Also know as Blitzer) A powersuit type created by Tesla. The user transforms via a bracelet known as a Transcoil.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience: Lala is blue, Forte is red while Starlit and Hibiki are yellow (though their Elekleid are purple)
  • Dimensional Traveler: Has an ability to travel between parallel worlds.
  • Power Floats: Unlike Symphogear (with the exception of Miku), all Elekleid have the ability to fly by default.
  • Power Trio: Starlit, Lala, and Forte are the users of Elekleid. Parallel Hibiki fills Starlit place for a little before leaving the team.
  • Shock and Awe: Elekleid use electric-base power.
  • Super Mode: Has an Alternator Full Drive Mode though it doesn't appear to give a hugely significant boost like Duo-Relics or D-Module.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Due to how its power works, Elekleid isn't recommended to be used in certain places such as underwater or stormy areas.

Starlit

A young woman who Parallel Hibiki befriends with. One of the Blitzer and the original wielder of Elekleid Drei.
  • Heel–Face Turn: She appears to be in a certain organization and seem to know Susanoo's identity. But she is eventually convinced by Parallel Hibiki to help her protect the civilians.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Elekleid Drei is the fastest among the Elekleid User.
  • Taking the Bullet: Protects Parallel Hibiki from Susanoo's attack which eventually cost her life.
  • Take Up My Sword: She prompts Parallel Hibiki to take her Elekleid after Hibiki's Gungnir is damaged, rendering her unable to fight.
  • We Hardly Knew Ye: While she lives longer than most examples of this trope, not much is known about her except that she is connected to Susanoo in some way.

Lala

A gentle young girl who Parallel Hibiki encountered. One of the Blitzer and the wielder of Elekleid Neun.
  • Ambiguously Human: She rarely eat (if not at all) and at one point called herself a fake and a failed creation.
  • Arm Cannon: She can combine with her Shield drone to shoot out a beam shot, Mega Man style.
  • Attack Drone: She controls a shield drone that is used for both offensive and defensive measures.
  • Beam Spam: Her Elekied can shoot out a laser beam.
  • Gratuitous German: Implied to be German as she uses Nein and Ja regularly.
  • Lethal Chef: She is horrible at cooking.
  • Long-Range Fighter: Neun is more focused on ranged attacks.
  • Nice Girl: Easily one of the nice and sweetest character. Too bad her Undying Loyalty lies with Tesla.
  • Replacement Goldfish: As it turns out she is supposed to be a replacement for Amelia's body but she gains a soul and mind of her own in the same case as Android Kirika.
  • Tomboy and Girly Girl: Lala is the girly girl to Forte's Tomboy.

Forte

A hot-head girl who Parallel Hibiki encountered. One of the Blitzer and the wielder of Elekleid Zech.

Nikola Tesla

The CEO and the leader of T.E.C.
  • Affably Evil: He is rather quiet and polite especially compared to other male villains in the series.
  • Big Bad: Of the Lost Song event, where he conducts a multiversal genocide in order to create an "utopia world".
  • Early-Bird Cameo: His silhouette made an appearance in Stand Up, Girl! event and seems to be the one who put a curse on Parallel Maria.
  • Expendable Alternate Universe: Deconstructed by being taken to the horrific extreme. The crux of his plan is absorbing the Star Power and "obtaining data" of the creatures from every parallel world that is not his. Any earth whose Star Power is depleted will be destroyed permanently. The later stages of this plan threatens potentially the entire Symphogear multiverse, in which every known world is considered as legitimate as each other. This is the reason Starlit, Parallel Hibiki, and almost every known Symphogear user are determined to stop him at all costs in the Final Chapter.
    Maria Cadenzavna Eve (Another): It's obvious, isn't it? No matter how tragic the backstory, that's no reason to destroy every parallel world!
  • The Lost Lenore: His implied lover, Amelia died in a certain accident.
  • Obsessively Organized: He is a bit of Neat Freak and obsessed with numbers 3, 6, 9.
  • The Stoic: He barely shows any emotion.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: He wants to create a utopia world where there is no conflict among people, but his plan included the genocide of multi-verses.

    Other Antagonists 

Susanoo

A mysterious giant sentinel who causes havoc wherever it goes.
  • BFS: Wields a large sword almost as big as him.
  • Good All Along: Turns out he is part of a complex system made by the Annunaki to protect the multi-verse from various existential threats such as T.E.C. but it got damaged along the way, going berserk and simply running on instinct.
  • Playing with Fire: Its main ability is to release a flaming wave that burns everything in its path.
