TeenNick is a sister channel of Nickelodeon aimed at teenagers. It is a merger of two defunct programming blocks: TEENick on Nickelodeon and The N on Noggin. The former aired from 2001 to 2009, and the latter from 2002 to 2007.

The original TEENick block was hosted by J Boogie and was shown on Sunday nights from 6pm to 9pm EST, later becoming the Spiritual Successor of the SNICK block when TEENick Saturday Night took over SNICK's timeslot in 2004. It wasn't very different than SNICK, except the programming was a bit more girl-orientated with occasional promos with fashion tips and such (whereas TEENick Saturday Night was more boy-orientated). The N aired from 6pm to 6am EST each day on Noggin, and was primarily known for being the American broadcaster of Degrassi: The Next Generation, as well as its own original programming such as South of Nowhere. Shows from both TEENick and The N were imported onto the separate TeenNick channel, but since the late 2010s, all of The N's shows have been off the schedule.

Nick Cannon was the honorary chairman of TeenNick and programming consultant, as he conceived and hosted the first annual TeenNick HALO Awards, an awards show awarding teens making a difference.

On July 25, 2011, TeenNick launched what is now known as the NickRewind block (formerly The 90s Are All That and NickSplat/The Splat), a block showing Nickelodeon's 90s-00s output. In 2015, the channel ended their broadcast of Degrassinote , along with all their original programming sans TeenNick Top 10, with the HALO Awards moving over to the main Nickelodeon channel. From that point and into The New '20s, TeenNick was mainly used for repeats of Nickelodeon's live-action shows from the Turn of the Millennium and on, with some programs from the Viacom-owned AwesomenessTV and NickRewind taking up the rest of the channel's real estate. NickRewind would air its final broadcast on January 31, 2022.

Also, it's "TeenNick" and not "Teennick," which is especially confusing since the original programming block was named TEENick.
