- Chapter 4 includes Pyro absorbing nuclears into his body, since the sun is apparently made of nukes.
- Chapter 6 gives us the most Mind Screw of an example yet. A bunch of fanatical 'Chrisins' get nuked, and they get radio poisoning, which apparently makes radios appear inside their bodies.
- Palutena nukes a castle in Chapter 7. This only kills the guards outside, and has absolutely no effect on the inside.
- Pit2 reflects a nuke with the Mirror Shield in Chapter 9 towards the sea, "where it go of harmles in Grek Ocen."
- In chapter 10, summoning a snowstorm is all that's needed to defuse a nuclear.
- In chapter 12, Hitler is sent flying off until he slams his head on a nuke, which then sets it off. The nuke just sets the 'Ritestag' aflame. Later, it's said that Quasimodo put some nuclears in a vat of liquid copper, creating nuclear copper. The nuclear copper later fuses with The Smooze, and creates a Nuclear Smooze.
- Ass Shove: In the final chapter of Professor Layton Vs Jack The Raper, it's said that Emmy hid the Everything Note in her ass.
- Awesome McCoolname: In Avance Wars 3, the protagonist is at first refered to as Darkness, but he later renames himself to Dusk, specifically due to this trope.
- Background Music: Despite his works being in writing, he incorporates the concept of music via Soundtrack Notes, shortened to S/N, which gives a piece of music to play. These are an idea created in Light and Dark DEUX: The New Adventures of Dark Soichiro, which Skiword decided to use himself, since he liked the idea.
- Beethoven Was an Alien Spy: It turns out that Jack The Raper is the princess of the Shinigami.
- British Royal Guards: King Shakespeer sends a huge battalion of them to the London Underground to search for Jack The Raper. The 'funny hats' are mentioned, and their lack of speech reaches the point that Shakespear needs a Psychic Note to get their answers to his questions.
- British Teeth: The overly British Aaron’s weak point is his teeth.
- Bystander Syndrome: Nobody in the London Underground seems to notice when Watari pulls a sniper rifle on the receptionist, even when he fires a warning shot.
- The Cameo: Chapter 8 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper outright says in the narration that 'Yousay Futa' passing by was for a cameo.
- Character as Himself: The Wattpad upload of Profesor Layton Vs. Jack The Raper has a cast list, including "King Shakespear as Himself"
- Cool and Unusual Punishment: When April May is found guilty of her crimes, her sentence entails being forced to watch a 24 hour commercial break, play ET on Atari 2600 to completion, have her breast implants removed, and then used as the hammer in the hammer throw at the Olympics.
- Compensating for Something: Chapter 5 of Kid Icarus Uprising 2 makes this joke about Cloud 'Strafe'. The joke is taken further in later chapters, where it's referred to as a dicksword.
- Crossover Shipping: Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper ships Matt/Flora.
- Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson meanwhile, chooses to ship Iris/Athena Cykes, as well as Winston Payne/Diantha
- Cyborg: In chapter 10 of Kid Icarus Uprising 2, it is revealed that Medusa became one after being 'Life Noted' in chapter 9. She is then referred to as Cyber-Medusa, to the point of Insistent Terminology.
- Dangerous 16th Birthday: CJ Fortune raids Barrylawn's house and assaults Jakkid in Turnabot Bithday, and yes, according to his twitter, it was indeed Barrylawn's 16th birthday.
- Diabolus ex Machina: Kid Icarus Uprising 2's concept of a God Shield. It only seems to serve the purpose of cutting off Palutena from the heroes. In chapter 6, being killed while a God Shield is up means that Pit can't be brought back.
- Did Not Do the Bloody Research: Arron in Kid Icarus Uprising 2. He constantly calls people buggers, even when complimenting them, emphasizes everything with 'bloody', peppers his speech with wank, and when he's beaten in one fight, he screams, "Oh dear God Save The Queen!"
- Eat the Evidence: In one scene of Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson, we see Wario somehow eat a set of fingerprints off a document.
- Everybody Calls Him "Barkeep"
- Kid Icarus Uprising 2 gives us The Korean Evil Dude, whom is never named.
- In Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson, as in the actual series, this applies to the Judge, as well as his brother, whom the narration calls 'Canadian Judge'.
- "Everybody Laughs" Ending: Turnabout Ravenge ends with everyone laughing at Tommy Wiseau asking Apollo about his sex life.
- Evil Knockoff: Cloud Angelos, a parody character of Cloud Angle from The Hot Topic Krew, shows up in Kid Icarus Uprising 2 as one of the Event Children, with the permission of MerchantAnna, and is depicted as one of these for the character he’s based off.
- Face Framed in Shadow: Chapter 8 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper applies this to Jack The Raper, outright saying that the only colour that Matt and Flora can see from him is 'sliver claws'. The cover art reflects this, with the addition of Red Eyes, Take Warning.
- Fantastic Nuke: Averted and played straight in Kid Icarus Uprising 2. The Reset Bombs from the game are simply referred to as nuclears, and are treated as actual nukes. Played straight when Mao Zedong uses a Commuclear, which is a nuke that doesn't cause radiation or explosions, but brainwashes those who are hit into becoming communists.
- Freudian Slip: Present due to the Rouge Angles of Satin tendencies. The most obvious being Jack The Raper.
- Gilligan Cut: Happens in chapter 7 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper, when Layton comments that he has the feeling that Jack The Raper is up to something. The scene that immediately follows entails Jack The Raper hijacking a train, and then taking it off the rails and making it fly.
- Girl on Girl Is Hot
- He ships Viridi/Phosphora, and any shippy moment between the two is described as cute in the narration.
- Avance Wars 3's description outright says that the fanfic will include 'lesbeans to make it sexy'.
- Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: Cloud Angle has a tendency to remind us that he and Pit aren't gay. Pit also engages in this at one point, in a much more vocal manner than Cloud.Pit: WE'RE NOT F-CKING GAY, YOU BASTURD!
- Helicopter Blender: Happened in Kid Icarus Uprising 2's 18th chapter, after a random Nazi uses an ejector seat in his helicopter.
- Hurricane Kick: Used by Hitler and Cloud2, although it's called the "Id lick sum Pound Cake kic"
- I Have Boobs, You Must Obey!: At one point in Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson, April May attempts to use this on Dahlia and Kristoph. This fails, due to the two of them already having hooked up with each other, and Kristoph claims that he wouldn't be interested either way.
- Immune to Bullets: Or rather, energy blasts. In chapter 2 of Kid Icarus Uprising 2, Pit2 attempts to snipe Manus, but it fails since Manus is apparently that strong.
- Jack the Ripoff: Layton does hypotesize that Jack The Raper coming back to life is really a case of this. He turns out to be mistaken.
- Latex Perfection: Kristoph Gavin is able to disguise himself as Pearl from Pokemon, a character much younger than him, even apparently reducing his height in the process, to the point that Klavier doesn't recognize him, despite standing right next to him. The disguise is also good enough to trick a radar.
- LEGO Genetics: The Mr. Seahorse example below happens as a result of 'Strafe' having seahorse 'jeans' put in him.
- Loner-Turned-Friend: In Kid Icarus canon, Pyrrhon is very much out for himself. In the Skiword canon, he’s suddenly in the Forces of Nature.
- Massive Multiplayer Crossover: Despite not having a single fic in a crossover section, his fics can be described as this. For example, Kid Icarus Uprising 2 is also a fanfic of Left 4 Dead, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Final Fantasy VII, Death Note, My Little Pony 'n Friends, My Little Pony (G3), Sailor Moon, Kingdom Hearts and Code Geass.
- Mix-and-Match Weapon: Kid Icarus Uprising 2 includes a CHANEHAMMER!Megan: It's lick a Chiansaw, but wif hamers instead of a saw.
- Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper has King Shakespeer give his royal guards rocket snipers. Then he also gives one to Jams Bound, except the one given to him also has Frickin' Laser Beams.
- Mister Seahorse: Cloud 'Strafe' ends up becoming one of these, giving birth to a group called the Event Children, who later go on to Take Over the World.
- No Celebrities Were Harmed: Completely averted. If he wants to mock a real-life person, he will use said person.
- No Name Given: The chief detective in Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson. This apparently makes him unable to shoot Dahlia and Kristoph, as he's not important enough to kill main villains.
- No Prison Segregation: Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson plays this as straight as an arrow. Both men and women escape from the same prison, and a few of the criminals are on completely different levels, such as murderers like Dahlia and Kristoph apparently being in the same prison as Ted Tonate, an accomplice to a terrorism plot, or the phantom, an international spy.
- Older Than He Looks: It's never described if Pit looks any different in Kid Icarus Uprising 2, and the cover art uses his Smash Bros. 4 artwork, so it can be assumed he still looks the same. It's said that the fanfic is 25 years after Kid Icarus Uprising. Since Pit's backstory had him become an angel at 13, and Uprising is 25 years after the first game, along with it's 3 year Time Skip. So put together, this means that Pit is now 66, but still looks like a 13 year old.
- One-Steve Limit: According to Flora, Roger's last name is Raper. This seems to have no connection to Jack The Raper though.
- Orphanage of Fear: In Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper, we see Watari House is this, due to Child Hater Roger being in charge. To put it simply, when the first scene in the place involves the person in charge threatening a child with a knife, you know it's bad. Roger is also apparently sexist.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: Dahlia Hawthorne is able to pass herself off as a defence attorney by simply wearing Kristoph's badge apparently. Later, she passes herself off as a waitress by just wearing the uniform. The latter example is lampshaded with the author commenting, "LOL! I wonder who that is."
- Red China: Mao Zedong appears in Kid Icarus Uprising 2 as a villain, attempting to take over Japan, brainwashing the Sailor Senshi into working for him.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Jack The Raper is depicted with these in the cover art of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper.
- Revenge of the Sequel
- Kid Icarus Uprising 2: Hades Revenge is as clear-cut as they come.
- Turnabout Ravenge has Lance reappear to try and win a case against Apollo after an embarrassing and humiliating defeat in Turnabout Sun and Moon. The story also has an in-universe example, as the relevant murder happened on the set of The Room 2: Mark’s Revenge.
- Rouge Angles of Satin: Tends to happen, due to his inexperience with the English language.
- Running Gag: Team Khaos getting blasted off in Kid Icarus Uprising 2. They lampshade it in Chapter 17, where after screaming "LOCKS LICK TEEM CHAOLS IS BLASTING OF AGAN!" they then scream for something different to happen next time. ("TRY SOMETHIN KNEW!")

- One of the major villain groups is Team Choas, who are very clearly meant to parody the Team Rocket trio, including their own version of the motto, as well as blasting off at the end of encounters with them.
- In chapter 6, Pit gets his Gemini Orbitars touched by Midas, turning them into 'Goldeneye Orbaturs'.
- Chapter 8 is named 'Ded Rasin'.
- Chapter 8 mentions someone getting mauled by zombies while trying to get his Coca-Cola from Save 4 More.
- In chapter 11, Pit mentions being sent back to the past, followed by Azul quipping, "To play the shitty games that suck ass!"
- In the same chapter, it's said that the Moochick lives in "a Mushrom Huse, but not lick the 1s in Mario, as that wood b sily."
- Same chapter again. Near the end, Cloud survives a fatal attack because of Azul ubercharging him.
- Chapter 12 has Pit2 using his real gun in an attempt to 'bom hedshoot' Cloud.
- In the same chapter, Stalin makes a pun about the Mother series of games, by referring to Russia as "EarthBound Russia".
- Said chapter's fight with Hitler seemed to written with the rant videos in mind.
- Chapter 13 is focused on searching for 'The Choas Emerolds'

- In chapter 5, we see Roger shoot a spear at Flora while yelling "GET OTHER HEAR!"

- In chapters 7 and 8, we see Jack The Raper get blasted off.
- Chapter 7 has Watari interrogate a resident of Watari House, wearing Mello's clothing. The resident says that he was D. Almost certainly D for Dark.
- Chapters 7 and 8 both have a throwaway line about Linda being kind of a whore.
- Chapter 9 has a set of assassins wearing the Team Flare colour-scheme.
- Chapter 9 has Mello creating a plan to defeat Near by playing Democracy 3.
- Chapter 9 depicts BRIAN BLESSED as a Pokémon Trainer.
- Chapter 9 has Shakespeare's speech get followed up by a Queen concert.

- Significant Name Overlap: Invoked in Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson, where Iris appears, and is revealed to actually be Iris from Pokemon, and not Iris from Phoenix Wright. Later, when Kristoph is disguised as Pearl, a radar shows him with the name Pearl, and the driver heads in that direction, confused, since he had apparently killed Pearl Fey.
- Smoking Hot Sex: Chapter 7 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper implies this with King Shakespeare. It's said he brought some cigarettes on a fishing trip, because he intended to follow up with a trip to the Red Light District.
- Species Surname: Cloud Angle.
- Spell My Name With An S: Every mention of Palutena has a new, incorrect spelling of her name, each less accurate than the last.
- Super Mode: Pit2 has shown the ability to become Scarred Pit2 via using either The 3 Scarred Treasures or the 'The Choas Emrooleds'.
- The final chapter of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper gives this to Jack The Raper, Layton and Watari.
- Take That!
- Chapter 8 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper gives one to grammar nazis, by having an actual nazi who is named 'Grammer', who mentions wanting to lobby the British government so that they will make being bilingual into a capital crime.
- Kid Icarus Uprising 2 gives the brunt of them to Final Fantasy VII, with Cloud 'Strafe' being one of the villains.
- Chapter 9 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper mentions that King Shakespeare's theory was even more wrong than "the stuf tat Game Theory idiot says."
- In chapter 18 of Kid Icarus Uprising 2, "The Gaem Throy Dude!" guards the villains base, and outright says that he brainwashes the watchers of Game Theory to make them believe the theory, and apparently is trying to use their support to become a god.
- In the same chapter, the heroes are attacked by a giant purple and green robot, the pilot saying he's attacking them because they're angels, but is defeated with one hit, because "the pilot was a pussy."
- The Television Talks Back: When Edgeworth reacts to hearing about the prison breakout in Dahlia Hawthorne Escaps From Pirson, the news caster replies, "Yes, Mr. Egeworth, their was a prison breek-owt."
- A Twinkle in the Sky: Team Khoas suffer this repeatedly in Kid Icarus Uprising 2, mirroring the Team Rocket trio who they're clearly based on, with the narration even describing them turning into a star. Chapter 11 has this happen to Pit2, after Firefly kicks him away. The same happens to Jack The Raper in chapter 7 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper, with the train he hijacked also being described as disappearing as a star.
- The Unreveal: In chapter 8 of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper, at one point, Matt and Flora do see Jack The Raper's true face, but they don't recognize it, leaving the identity unknown.
- Title Drop Chapter: The final chapter of Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper. The author’s note acknowledges this, saying he felt it was fitting.
- Virgin Sacrifice: Pit2 was after one, eventually using Pit. The virgin sacrifice was used to make a 'zomboy' army.
- Wacky Racing: The Wacky Turnabout is about Phoenix taking part in the Trope Namer.
- Worst News Judgment Ever: In Turnabout Sun and Moon, the top headline in The Shitty News is the leaks of Pokémon Sun and Moon that had happened at the time the story was written. The fact that "Dolan Tramp" had just become the president, however, is a mere footnote compared to that.
- Yaoi Fangirl: In-Universe, Iris is said to watch Wocky and Machi make out, since they're her OTP.
- Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe: Or as it's called, 'Roman'. King Shakespeer speaks heavily in this in Profesor Layton Vs Jack The Raper. He uses 'thou' as a plural, thinking it means 'you' and 'thine' as a synonym for 'thou', has a tendency to add a random 'e' to his words, throws in some Did Not Do the Bloody Research, by using 'sodded' as though it means 'stopped', and also, Shakespear randomly refers to himself as ore-sama at one point.
- Zombie Apocalypse: Pit2 unleashes one in Kid Icarus Uprising 2.
