• Vote UP to merge the Manhua/ and Manhwa/ namespaces into the Comic Book/ namespace
• Vote DOWN to keep Manhua/ and Manhwa/ as namespaces

Turned out it can.

I mean, I think the question itself is phrased kind of waffly now I take a look at it. Something like "Are Manhua and Manhwa distinct enough to require to their own namespace or should they be part of Comic Books?"

Though, really, I'd have been after a 'yes/no/yes if we combine manga once that's actually feasible' crowner anyhow.

That was suggested and also ruled out pretty much immediately for said problems.

Yeah, I excluded that as an option because that suggestion received an overwelming no from almost everyone here.

They are already part of Comic Books, the question really is just if they require their own namespaces

Alright, just gonna bump with an update on how the crowner currently is after about 2 days in my time

We're currently leaning on keeping (aka not deprecating) the two namespaces based on the ratio of whether we want to deprecate the two

We're almost certainly going to run this for the whole week even if it's virtually guaranteed to fail.

It's a namespace discussion, these crowners always have a week minimum.

Also don't feel commenting. Consensus is consensus, if to keep we can just close and move on with the previous conversation.

(x5) Technically, given how this is a binary crowner, if the sole option gets downvoted, the crowner wouldn't fail, we did gain consensus, consensus not to deprecate.

On the 4th day and the crowner's ratio is

(Yeas:14 Nays:20)

Not sure it's even possible to get the 2/3 vote at this point. I can understand past efforts like Let's Play and Machinima are easy to sort out, but this is definitely a more complicated niche much like animation (much like why AnimatedFilm/ failed).

This is similar to the AnimatedFilm/ failure in theory, as it involves moving works out of country-specific namespaces.

(Difference is, this is very much a standalone crowner, and AnimatedFilm/ was just one attempt of many to "fix" the animation namespaces.)

Again, I wouldn't call it a "failure". If people don't want to move, then the crowner didn't fail — it just arrived at what the majority actually wants.

Right now we're at 14:23 which isn't reverse consensus.

I don't think we need reverse consensus. If the sole option fails to gain positive consensus, then we'll still just keep the namespaces.
