- Magic Versus Science: So far, magic (in the form of enhanced martial arts for two of the three off-worlders) is the winner in this story.
- We Hardly Knew Ye: An off-worlder acquaintance of Emily's from her place of origin applies for this after a bigger Big Bad appears...head first.
