Aura of Amber Witches

    Carol
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 156cm / 43kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: 11/17
Lament: I Am What I Am, Or Maybe I'm Not (JP by kurukumo; EN)
Voiced by: Hina Tachibana (JP); Brittany Thornton (EN)

"'This really is our first meeting, right?"

A girl from the Kingdom of Chekkos whose powers came at the cost of losing her memories every 7 days. In order to preserve her memories of her week before the reset, she writes them down in a book and reads them day by day.

Carol utilizes her butterflies and their memory-stealing scales to attack anyone who dares to harm the friends she can remember at present. Her 1st active "Wings of Amnesia" deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 540% of her ATK to 3 random enemies and has a 20% chance to inflict [Silence] to them for 1 turn, causing them to briefly lose their memories. Through her butterflies' "Scales of Oblivion", Carol's 2nd active of that name dispels 2 buffs from up to 5 random enemies (decreasing their DEF by 40% for 2 turns before that if they don't have any buffs from lvl 3 onwards) and as they stagger, she deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 480% to them.

Willing to defy her fate of constantly losing her memories every week, Carol's 1st passive "Memento" restores her HP equal to up to 7% of the total HP she's currently missing when she or an ally is attacked, and through the "Torn Page" that is her 2nd passive, all allies' DEF are increased by up to 25% with Carol's own increased by 120% at max level.

Upon attaining her Unique Weapon "Forget-Me-Not Diary", "Wings of Amnesia"'s chance to inflict [Silence] becomes up to 55% and its damage is increased to 590% of Carol's ATK.

  • Butterfly of Death and Rebirth: Carol attacks with butterflies, and symbolically they represent how the present Carol is considered dead due to her weekly amnesia and is reborn as a new version of herself.
  • Conlang: The beginning and the end of her Lament is a verse in some form of incomprehensible language.
  • Mind Manipulation: If her skills are anything to go by Carol uses her butterflies to give her opponents amnesia.
  • Power at a Price: Carol's witch powers give her excellent memory. Shame that in exchange, her memory gets reset every 7 days. To compensate, Carol has a diary in which she writes out what she did during that week so that next week's version of her will be able to know what happened.

    Cherna
Rarity: R -> SSR+
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 158cm / 43kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: Unknown
Lament: Crying Blue (JP by Mana Kobayashi; EN)
Voiced by: Mana Kobayashi (JP); Christie Cate (EN)

A strange painter from the Kingdom of Chekkos, Cherna has a reputation as an eerie character due to her paintings of the dead while living in a place nearly in ruins. Her devotion to her art is so big, she's even forgotten her own age.

Genius painter extraordinaire Cherna will paint the enemies' defeat in the brightest colours she can find! Her 1st active "Spattering" deals 5 magical attacks equal to up to 230% of her ATK to random enemies from her paint that's enriched with magical powers, and increases her ATK by 10% for 1 turn for every critical hit landed. Fueled by the desire to fill her canvas with layers of brilliance, Cherna's 2nd active "Impasto" deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 390% of her ATK to up to 2 random enemies and has a 50% chance (70% at max. level) to inflict [Fainted] and [Bleed] for 1 turn, during which [Bleed] deals damage equal to 10% of her ATK.

In between all this, Cherna's passive skill "Portrait" has her steal up to 30% of an enemy's HP by painting a monochromatic portrait on her magical canvas.

  • Eccentric Artist: When one's subject for art is of the deceased...
  • Trash of the Titans: Prior to moving in with the Successor, her house was so deep in neglect that it almost resembles ruins.
  • Vague Age: Cherna's devotion to her art caused her to forget even her own age.

    Garmr
Rarity: N
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 159cm / 47kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: 5/30
Lament: Poco A Poco (JP by Hikari; EN)
Voiced by: Chitose Morinaga (JP); Courtney Lin (EN)

A cheerful witch filled with joy who used to be a bandit. It was a bandit tribe chief who pulled her out of despair once and gave her power to overcome it. Since then, Garmr always finds the strength to brighten up and act cheerfully, even when her feelings of weakness send her hiding away to cry.

Garmr uses her skills as a former bandit to carry out the last wishes of her tribe. Her 1st skill "Bandit War's Arrow" deals 1 physical attack equal to 130% of her ATK to a random enemy using a secret skill taught to her by the previous tribe chief. Said arrow is laced with a toxin that prevents blood clotting, which has a 50% chance to inflict [Bleed] on the target for 2 turns that deals damage equal to 20% of Garmr's ATK each turn at the start of the action phase. Meanwhile, her 2nd skill "Bandit's Barrage" has Garmr shoot down enemies by dealing 1 physical attack equal to 110% of her ATK to 3 random enemies, decreasing their SPD by 20% for 2 turns in the process.

  • Last of Her Kind: The last member of her bandit tribe after a military officer killed them.
  • Little Bit Beastly: Garmr has hare ears.
  • Stepford Smiler: While the man who was the previous bandit tribe chief gave her hope, she would use it to cheer herself up even though her true feelings say otherwise.

    Hathor
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 165cm / 49kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: 8/12
Lament: Dancing in the Dusk (JP by Zakuro; EN)
Voiced by: Miho Okasaki (JP); Flannery Maney (EN)

Born to an Adrian mother and a immigrant father hailing from a country in the far west, Hathor is a confident and determined dancer who finds it hard to say "no" when others need her. Her dream is to be able to travel to the homeland of her father.

Hathor takes to the stage with her exotic dances that will excite her audience! Approaching the enemy while performing a dance that mimics a butterfly and bewitches the viewer, Hathor's 1st active "Dance of Butterflies" deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 720% of her ATK to the 2 enemies with the highest current HP with a up to 50% chance to decrease their ATK by 50% for 1 turn. Performing her 2nd skill "Underworld's Allure" on the battlefield, Hathor first deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 500% of her ATK to all enemies and invites those captivated by her dance to the world of dreams by having a up to 40% chance to inflict [Fainted] on them for 1 turn if they're also afflicted with a debuff. At higher levels, the active also restores HP equal to 15% of its total damage to Hathor and if the target does not have a debuff, they're inflicted with [Erosion] instead for 2 turns which deals damage equal to 20% of its total damage at the start of the action phase.

Being the "Dreaming Dancer" that she is, Hathor's performance that sometimes excites herself becomes her 1st passive of that name by increasing her ATK by up to 80% for 1 turn if she has not taken damage for the first 2 turns from turn 3 onwards. And by performing her 2nd passive "Dance of the Sands", Hathor's desire to visit her father's homeland far into the west strengthens her basic attack and if it's a Critical Hit increases her chance to inflict a debuff by up to 50% for 1 turn.

If Hathor is joined onstage by her Unique Weapon "Showbird", "Dance of Butterflies"'s chance to decrease all targets' ATK is increased to 70% and the number of targets to 3 while "Underworld's Allure"'s chance to inflict [Fainted] is increased to 70%.

  • The Beastmaster: Hathor's Unique Weapon is the blue Showbird that can be seen perching on her left hand in her Live 2D art.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Hathor's Lament contains Spanish phrases in the English dub.
  • But Not Too Foreign: Hathor's half-Adrian from her mother's side while her father's an immigrant from the far west.
  • Dance Battler: Hathor's battle style is derived from the dances of her father's homeland.
  • Even the Girls Want Her: Unintentionally, but she has gotten the attraction of Mimi.
  • Stripperiffic: At least that's what Moddey thinks about her outfit.

    Mimi
Rarity: SR - LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 154cm / 39kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 4/29
Lament: The Clock Strikes 12 (JP by Kana Ichinose; EN by Mimi My)
Voiced by: Kana Ichinose (JP); Mirei Yamagata (EN)

"Watch, master! Mimi will now perform her purr-dy magical dance!"

A strange, hardworking and cheerful cat-girl who wandered into the Duchy of Fran and for some reason can talk to cats. The moment she saw a certain dancer, she instantly fell in love and since then has started learning how to dance herself, never missing a chance to practice her own moves each day.

Mimi uses her paw-some dance skills to wow the crowd and defeat her enemies. Her first active "Wild Claw" utilizes her cat-like reflexes to deal 4 (5 at max. level) physical attacks equal to up to 310% of her ATK to random enemies, with 1 extra animal instinct=powered attack for every enemy defeated by this skill with a maximum of 9 when fully upgraded. Her second active "Feline Waltz" impeccably copies the purr-ty dancer she admires, dealing 1 physical attack equal to 350% of her ATK at max level to up to 5 random enemies and increases by up to 60% of her ATK for every buff she has, which also grants her [Shield] equal to 20% of the skill's total damage for 4 turns.\\\

Through her paw-some dance moves, Mimi's first passive "Dreaming Alley Cat" increases her ATK by up to 80% for 2 turns if she hasn't taken any damage by the 3rd turn of the fight while her second passive "Dancing Paw-tners" turns the enemies with the highest and lowest DEF into dance paw-tners via [Resonance], which deals up to 80% of the damage 1 target receives to the other and is dispelled when 1 paw-tner or Mimi herself is defeated.

Once Mimi is equipped with her Unique Weapon "Cat Paws", "Feline Waltz"'s [Shield] expands to cover the ally with the lowest HP percentage and is increased to 30% of its total damage, while the damage from "Wild Claw"'s physical attacks is increased to 340% of Mimi's ATK.

  • Cute Clumsy Girl: Though that didn't stop her from wanting to learn how to dance from Hathor.
  • Hurricane of Puns: Talking to her results in a bombardment of cat puns, which is more prominent in the English dub.
  • Lighter and Softer: Compared to the other Character Memories, Mimi's story is simply light-hearted in nature and doesn't have her go through much trauma.
  • Little Bit Beastly: She has pink cat ears and a pink-and-white tail. And behaves more like a cat than a human.
  • Love at First Sight: When she saw a dancer at a bar, she instantly fell in love and wanted to learn how to dance like her. The homescreen lines eventually reveal her "Prince Charming" to be Hathor.
  • Rose-Haired Sweetie: An absolute sweetheart with pink hair.
  • Third-Person Person: In the English dub, Mimi speaks like this.
  • Verbal Tic: She ends her sentences with "-nya" in the Japanese dub. In English, this turns into a cat-themed Hurricane of Puns.

    Olivia
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 158cm / 44kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 7/23
Lament: Pray (JP by MARiA; EN)
Voiced by: Miku Itō (JP); Elizabeth Ryan (EN)

Hailing from a village in the Duchy of Fran, Olivia's powers manifested as a response to save everyone when creatures summoned by a Curse attacked her village. Because she helps others without hesitation, everyone in the Successor's domain loves her.

With prayers to her God and her belief that her good deeds will one day reward her, Olivia will devote herself to help everyone she can. Her 1st active "Blessing of Courage" has Olivia pray that the brave souls who stand up and fight will receive God's blessing in the form of increasing all allies' ATK by up to 30% of her own ATK for 2 turns and from level 2 onwards also increases their DEF by the same amount of her own DEF for the same number of turns. As "The Holy Flag Bearer", Olivia's 2nd active has her charge and pierce the enemy vanguard by dealing up to 5 physical attacks equal to up to 390% of her ATK to random enemies, which also grants all allies a [Shield] equal to 40% of the skill's total damage as another blessing from God and from level 3 onwards increases the critical hit damage of the ally with the highest ATK by 30% for 2 turns if an enemy is defeated by the skill.

Believing that she will one day be rewarded for her good deeds, Olivia's 1st passive "Good Deeds' Reward" increases her max HP by up to 30% and from level 2 onwards also increases her DEF by up to 50%, and as "The One Loved By God", Olivia's 2nd passive of that name punishes anyone who hurts her by having them be forsaken by God in the form of decreasing their ATK by up to 40% for 1 turn if they deal a Critical Hit to her.

And when Olivia bears her Unique Weapon "Unam Sanctam", "Blessing of Courage" now increases the DEF and ATK of all targets by up to 50% of Olivia's DEF and ATK respectively while the damage from "The Holy Flag Bearer"'s physical attacks are increased to become equal to 450% of her ATK.

  • All-Loving Hero: Olivia loves helping others because she thinks it's right, she may be rewarded for them one day and it will take her 1 step closer to her God. She nearly loses this trait when her fellow villagers betrayed her to the Church but she has since regained that kindness.
  • Chronic Hero Syndrome: Olivia loves helping others, believing that if she does good deeds everyday she will be welcomed to Heaven when she dies. Unfortunately, after saving her village from cursed creatures, she was betrayed by the Ungrateful Bastards that are her fellow villagers and captured by the Church.

    Primavera
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 144cm / 34kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 11/24
Lament: Reverb (JP by DAZBEE; EN)
Voiced by: Marika Kouno (JP); Clare Loughran (EN)

The daughter of upper-class nobles, Primavera is a dignified and elegant girl who often performs alongside her mother, who used to be a renowned songstress. Her powers came at the cost of her eyesight, but this does not stop her from enjoying music like she used to and when the subject is brought up, she cannot stop talking about it.

Primavera will use the power of song to guide you and her friends to victory. Her 1st active "Transcendent Melody" has her use her voice to invoke visions of the battlefield and deal up to 4 physical attacks equal to up to 410% of her ATK to the enemy directly in front of her and if their SPD is lower than hers, her song will steal the heart of the one who hears it by having a 15% chance to inflict [Fainted] for 1 turn. Upon hearing Primavera's "Les Rose Bleue" which is also her 2nd active, the little bird perched on her finger flies in for a surprise attack and deals 1 physical attack equal to up to 520% of her ATK to the enemy in front of her, also targeting the 2 enemies adjacent to them starting from level 3. And as she sings the song that carries her wish for peace, her target(s) lose the will to fight, being inflicted with [Buff Immunity] (and decreases their DEF by 20% at max. level) for 3 turns if she deals a Critical Hit.

As songs are melodies from the heart, when Primavera sings her "Songstress's Gospel", her 1st passive of that name, she fills them with prayers that can reach through to her allies by increasing their ATK by 2%, with an additional 2% (3% at max level) for each ally other than Primavera herself who's still alive and starting from level 2 does the same with their SPD. And as the "Luminary of Song", Primavera's 2nd passive that shares its name has her determination to become a songstress that will not bring shame to her name increase her ATK by up to 35% and at max level also increases her Debuff RES by 100%.

When Primavera is partnered with her Unique Weapon "Minivera", "Transcendent Melody"'s chance to inflict [Fainted] is increased to 30% while "Les Rose Bleue"'s turns of [Buff Immunity] and [Decreased DEF] is each increased to 4 and the target's DEF is now decreased by 30%.

  • The Beastmaster: Like Hathor above, Primavera's Unique Weapon is the bird accompanying her named Minivera.
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: But of course.
  • Big Fancy House: The villa that Sabrina, Moddey, Nina, Sonya, Cerberus and company stay in for their vacation and the land surrounding it? It belongs to Primavera. One of Sabrina's voice lines for her Summer variant has her express surprise that Primavera is that rich to own that plot of land.
  • Blind Weaponmaster: If a bird counts as a weapon, at least.
  • Gratuitous French: Primavera's 2nd skill is named "Les Rose Bleue", which supposedly means "The Blue Rose".
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: "Primavera" is actually a title for the songstress of hope which is passed down from 1 singer to another; we never get know the real name of this Primavera.
  • Power at a Price: Primavera got her witch powers to stop her berserk mother, at the cost of losing her eyesight because she wished "for (this) madness to vanish from her eyes".

    Richesse
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 145cm / 42kg
Blood Type: B
Birthday: 11/2
Lament: Asking for the Moon (JP by ayaka.; EN)
Voiced by: Satomi Arai (JP); Kelley Mack (EN)

Also known as the "Merchant of Death", Richesse is a travelling merchant who now serves as Artie's business partner in which she sells Artie's weapons to only those who wish to protect others. Despite her youthful appearance, Richesse speaks with insight gained from her many experiences with the cruelties of war.

With her business acumen and the assistance of her super adorable flabbycatties, Richesse will provide the wares to make you victorious on the battlefield! Richesse's 1st active "Special Service" has her prepare her allies for battle by unveiling a plethora of secret tools of the trade to protect them, namely a [Shield] equal to 300% of her ATK that will protect her and the ally with the lowest SPD for up to 3 turns, and at level 2 also increases all targets' chance to resist a debuff by 50% for the same amount of turns. With a "Go get 'em!", her 2nd active "FlabbyCaptain! CHARGE!" has Richesse order the captain of the flabbycatties, FlabbyCaptain to charge in for the attack and deal 1 physical attack equal to up to 540% of her ATK to 3 random enemies at max. level, and while FlabbyCaptain is stuck to their faces, has a up to 55% chance to inflict [Silence] on them.

Through the "Inseparable Prescence" that is Richesse's 1st passive, her vow to help Artie overcome her sins, her pain and her everything which also saves her own heart from breaking and gives her the courage to stand up and fight increases her DEF by up to 50% and from level 2 onwards does the same to the ally with the lowest SPD. And as the "Battlefield Merchant", Richesse's 2nd passive of that name grants the ally whose remaining HP percentage becomes 50% or lower after being attacked a [Shield] equal to up to 500% of her ATK for 1 turn, activating once every 5 turns, which is reduced to 4 at level 2.

Once Richesse is granted her Unique Weapon "Hermes's Guidance", "Special Service"'s [Shield] is increased to be equal to 500% of her ATK and increases all targets' chance to resist a debuff to 100% while "FlabbyCaptain! CHARGE!"'s physical attack now deals damage equal to 590% of her ATK.

  • Arms Dealer: More specifically, she sells the weapons Artie makes. Unlike most examples however, she follows a golden rule "If someone seeks help, deliver what they need" which means that she doesn't sell those weapons for profit, rather only those who desire to protect and not kill.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Not her but rather the flabbycatties. These catlike blob critters have been around since the very beginning of the game!
  • Foreshadowing: Typically in Character memory stories, other characters that appear have their dialogue done by the featured character herself such as Priscilla in Rean's story and Lou in Veela's. Richesse on the other hand first shows up in Artie's Character Memory story with her own VA. Sure enough, her playable status was announced a few days later.
  • Friendly Shopkeeper: Richesse is a very friendly person who only sells her wares to those who need it. She's also the only person Artie can open herself up to, and if her lines are any indication has set up shop in the Duchy of Fran once she comes to live with the Successor and runs the in-game shop while also providing certain services to the Successor free-of-charge to the point where she calls him her "favorite customer".
  • In the Hood: Richesse usually wears a hood on her.
  • Kindhearted Cat Lover: Richesse, who is kind at heart, owns a group of blobby cats known as flabbycatties.
  • Only Friend: Richesse serves as this to Artie, as the only person Artie trusts. In turn, Richesse is very overprotective of her.
  • Promoted to Playable: Initially only mentioned in Artie's Memory story, she finally makes an appearance on 14 June 2023.
  • Red Baron: Downplayed. Richesse is known to many as the "Merchant of Death", but her title isn't a threat.
  • We Sell Everything: Evidently, she sells a lot more than just war supplies. For example, the swimsuit Sabrina bought from her is just one of a wide selection.

    Skuld
Rarity: R -> SSR+
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 164cm / 46kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 8/9
Lament: Falling Down (JP by mahina; EN)
Voiced by: Asuna Tomari (JP); Abigail Turner (EN)

An apothecary who befriended Zara, Rean and Priscilla while studying at a certain village. She treats them as though they're her younger sisters, but once she gets absorbed into her medicinal research and herb gathering, she stops noticing the world around her.

As an aspiring apothecary, it's Skuld's job to keep everyone and herself alive on the battlefield. Through "Trial and Error", Skuld's 1st active of that name has her use the strange liquid from a failed attempt at a new elixir to deal 1 magical attack equal to up to 360% of her ATK to a random enemy, with the hazardous side effect being the loss of up to 20% of the target's ATK for 2 turns. Using a "Healing Aroma" from her eponymous 2nd active, Skuld restores HP equal to up to 230% to the 2 allies with the lowest current HP (3 at max. level) and at level 2 increases their SPD by 20% for 2 turns.

Through improvement after improvement, "The Skuld Special" that is Skuld's passive is created, treating fatigue and increasing stamina by increasing her max. HP by up to 30%. Though she can't really vouch for its taste.

  • Bespectacled Cutie: Skuld sure looks cute with those glasses of hers.
  • Childhood Friends: With Zara, Rean and Priscilla.
  • Family Theme Naming: She and her sisters, Urd and Belldandy, are named after the Norns, who are the Goddesses of Fate in Norse Mythology.
  • Lethal Chef: Downplayed; it's not Skuld's cooking everyone hates - it's her medicines because they're so bitter.
  • The Medic: Skuld's 2nd active "Healing Aroma" heals up to 3 allies by 210% of her MAG (230% at level 2) via aromatherapy while her passive "The Skuld Special" increases her own max. HP by up to 30%.
  • Unperson: Not intentionally, but when her two sisters died in an accident, her mother's mind regressed back to before Skuld's existence, effectively erasing Skuld from her mind. And it only got worse from there.

    Soteira
Rarity: R -> SSR+
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 143cm / 38kg
Blood Type: O
Birthday: 1/6
Lament: The Time-Travelling※ Macaron ※D=(Strawberry/3)px^2 (JP by Yuiko Ohara; EN)
Voiced by: Honoka Inoue (JP); Ashley Young (EN)

A high-spirited wanderer with no known origin, it's hard to know what Soteira's thinking. She's always accompanied by a bird who somehow manages to stay on her head regardless of her shenanigans, and is painfully aware that her power isn't the strongest of the lot.

There's no knowing where (or when) Soteira is and what she's up to with her around! By chanting her 1st active of "Eeny Meeny Miny Moe", Soteira aimlessly fires off up to 8 magical attacks equal to up to 190% of her ATK to random enemies, and by distracting her enemies by telling them to "Look! Up in the Sky!", Soteira's 2nd active of the same name deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 480% of her ATK to the enemy with the highest SPD, and decreases their SPD by up to 30% for 3 turns.

Additionally, by greeting Dezzy with a "Morning, Dezzy!", Soteira's passive of that name has Dezzy poke her beak at the enemy despite being half-asleep with a 30% chance (50% after level 2) to inflict [Bleed] on the enemy that attacked her for 1 turn, which deals damage equal to 20% of her ATK at the start of the action phase.

  • Fluffy the Terrible: Soteira carries a small white bird named Dezzy (Ha-chan in Japanese) wherever she goes, but according to Soteira herself, Dezzy is a God of Destruction.
  • Genki Girl: A constantly happy and cute girl who never rests in one place.
  • Head Pet: She's never seen with her bird Dezzy on her head.
  • Magic Staff: Soteira carries one with her. For some reason it bears resemblance to the Staff of Tikkun itself.
  • Third-Person Person: Soteira often refers to herself by her name.
  • The Unpronounceable: Good luck trying to say her Lament title.
  • Willfully Weak: Soteira's very aware that she's not the strongest witch, but her final Memory chapter implies that she might actually be holding back since if her true power returns, Soteira as she is will no longer exist.

    Tropon
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 154cm / 42kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 5/11
Lament: Liar's Lie (JP by maimie; EN)
Voiced by: Yuuki Kuwahara (JP); Meg McClain (EN)

A witch who refers to herself as a genius swindler, Tropon uses her lies to infiltrate the Church of Longinus to steal from its followers while disguised as a nun and gives what she gets to fellow witches. Despite being laid-back, sometimes Tropon's words sting a lot.

Tropon weaves her lies into illusions that confuse the enemy and takes advantage of said confusion to steal from them. Her 1st active "Liar's Sting" has a number of (illusory) knives surround the enemy that deals 1 magical attack equal to up to 310% of Tropon's ATK to 5 random enemies and with her swindler's insight, every time she uses this active increases its damage by 70% of her ATK and starting from level 2 restores HP equal to 20% of the skill's total damage to her. Her 2nd active "Trickster" deceives the enemy by first dealing 1 magical ATK equal to up to 350% of her ATK to 5 random enemies and when no one expects has a hidden knife fly out of the shadows to deal a direct attack equal to up to 320% of Tropon's MAG to a random enemy.

Being the "Kindhearted Swindler" she is, Tropon's eponymous 1st passive increases her max. HP by 40% and once fully upgraded increases her SPD by 20%. Meanwhile her 2nd passive "Illusion" has Tropon cast one of these to an enemy by having a up to 100% chance to dispel 1 buff from the enemy who dealt a Critical Hit to her and grant the buff's effect to her, and from level 2 onwards if the enemy that attacked her didn't deal a critical hit has the same probability of stealing a buff from them.

Once Tropon makes her Unique Weapon "Swindler's Hidden Claws" manifest, "Liar's Sting"'s magical attack damage is increased to 340% of her ATK and also has an up to 60% chance to decrease its targets' HP drain by 30% for 2 turns.

On 13 December 2023, Tropon received her Holy Night variant [Holy Night's Prayer] for the holiday season. For more information on her younger self, see here.

  • Brutal Honesty: Despite her lies and her laidback attitude, sometimes she can be this.
  • Consummate Liar: AND a Compulsive Liar to boot. Tropon's living is based on lies, though once under the protection of the Successor, she feels like she may no longer have to lie to get what she wants.
  • Devious Daggers: Tropon's Unique Weapon "Swindler's Hidden Claws" are these. Although they may be illusory.
  • Horned Humanoid: Tropon has moose horns on her head.
  • Irony: Tropon fights with knives but she's a Sorcerer-type. Though this may be on purpose because who knows if the knives are actually real.
  • It's Personal: Tropon might have other reasons for swindling from the Church apart from them being a dick to witches in general if her backstory as a kid is any indication.
  • Just Like Robin Hood: Tropon uses her lies to rob the Church of Longinus while disguised as a nun and gives her spoils to other witches.
  • Master of Illusion: Tropon uses illusions and trickery to make fools out of the Church, then steals their money and redistributes them to other witches.
  • You Killed My Father: The Church fooled, robbed and killed her parents during the season of the Holy Night, so she's doing the same to them in turn 365 days of the year.

    Veela
Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 134cm / 32kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 3/3
Lament: Bubbles (JP by Haruna; EN)
Voiced by: Kaori Maeda (JP); Cassandra Lee Morris (EN)

A strange girl who can see the red fishes in the water and talk to them, even though everyone thinks of her as a weirdo who talks to thin air. After losing the only person who called her a friend, she suffered from heavy loneliness.

  • Animal Motifs: Goldfish, due to resembling one and being able to talk to the red fishes in the water.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Veela's hair and eyes are the same shade of goldfish red.
  • Improbable Weapon User: Veela tosses her large pearl in her attack animation and her Unique Weapon is one of the goldfish swimming around her.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Veela's UR line has her accidentally calling someone a "grandma" after spending time with her in the kitchen. Judging by her terrified reaction, it's heavily implied that said "grandma" is Rosalie.
  • In-Series Nickname: Veela calls herself "Vee".
  • Making a Splash: Veela has the ability to control water and can summon water spirits to help her.
  • Meaningful Name: Veela is named for a fairy in Slavic mythology with similar traits to the rusalka of Russian mythology.
  • One Degree of Separation: The official art book reveals that Veela's grandfather is Rusalka's brother, making Veela Rusalka's grandniece. This also explains why the two have similar movepools and powers.
  • Only Friend: Veela used to have a friend named Lou who was the only person who stuck by her until she suddenly left her after no longer believing that she could talk to the seemingly imaginary fishes and seemingly betrayed her to the Knights of Longinus. Fortunately, towards the end of Veela's Memories the two made up; Lou still cannot understand the language of the water but they remained friends as Veela was taken to the Successor's mansion for her own safety, and it's heavily implied that Lou eventually joins her.
  • Summon Magic: Veela's actives have her summon an Undine and a Nixie to help her, though not to the extent of fellow water-user Rusalka.
  • Third-Person Person: Veela speaks like this due to her young age, calling herself "Vee".
  • Token Mini-Moe: So far she's the youngest playable witch if going by appearances.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: If Veela is strengthened to at least SSR, her 9th voice line reveals that she's scared of cats after Mimi told her that cats love to eat fish; making her assume that Mimi might eat her.

Variants

    Amour (Winter)

Holy Night's Gift

Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sniper
Height and Weight: 151cm / 39kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 7/7
Lament: Présent (JP by Haruka Shimotsuki; EN)
Voiced by: Ai Kakuma (JP); Sarah Miller (EN)

The daughter of former nobles who now lives with the Successor in his mansion. On the Holy Night, it's tradition for people to give special gifts to their special someones, and she has taken to prepare one specially for him when she hears of it. In a style that's only unique to her, she's poured all her constantly and precariously-growing love for the Successor in her gift to him.

This winter, Amour will, by hook or by crook, make the ultimate present filled with her love for you, never mind what might get in the way. Her 1st active, "Holy Night's Gift", her Amour present her gift of love by dealing 1 physical attack equal to 180% of her ATK to 5 random enemies and increases the chance to deal a Critical Hit of the ally with the highest SPD apart from herself. From level 2 onwards, if the skill deals 1 or more critical hits, the ally target's chance to deal a critical hit will increase further by 5% and will continue to do so for a max. of 55% for each critical hit the skill deals and at max level will increase Amour's own chance to deal a critical hit by 30% for 2 turns before she deals the attack. Her 2nd skill, "Red Thorns of Fate" switches the traditional red strings of fate with Amour's own thorns that deals up to 3 physical attacks equal to 240% of her ATK to the enemy with the highest remaining HP percentage; who gets targeted changes with each individual attack and if the target isn't defeated by the skill it will reactivate once more and starting from level 2, if Amour's remaining HP percentage is 50% and lower, the damage the attacks deals will be multiplied by up to 2.

Amour's love for the Successor, whether he's aware of it or not, will persist and not even death will stop it, with her 1st passive "Always by Your Side" reviving her when she's defeated with HP equal to 25% of her max. HP, followed by a 50% increase to her HP for 1 time only and at higher levels also gifts the 2 allies with the highest ATK an ATK increase of 20% for 2 turns and a skill cooldown time decrease by 2. On the other hand, Amour's "Overflowing Obsession" with the Successor becomes her 2nd passive which decreases the damage taken by the 2 allies adjacent to Amour by up to 60% which eventually affects everyone from level 2 onwards but is immediately dispelled when they're attacked for the first time.

And as a further display of love towards you, once Amour finishes her Unique Weapon "True Love's Gift", "Holy Night's Gift"'s targets of [Increased Chance to Deal a Critical Hit] is increased to 3, "Always by Your Side" increases the ATK increased for all targets to 40% and "Red Thorns of Fate"'s physical damage is increased to be equal to 340% of her ATK.

As Amour and Amour (Winter) are counted as two different characters, both can be deployed in the same team. For more information on her initial Aura of Crimson self, see here.

  • Bait-and-Switch: When stalking the Successor (again) to determine what to get for him for the Holy Night, she witnesses him talking to a little girl (who is eventually revealed to be a young Tropon) inside a mysterious hole that is floating in midair who calls him "Daddy". Amour is shocked and enraged that the Successor is actually a father (which means that he must have had a wife), but later learns from him that the girl just calls all males older than her "Daddy" and all older females (including Amour herself) are "Mommy" and promptly calms down.
  • Christmas in Japan: The Holy Night is based on the Japanese interpretation of the holiday, which means that Amour, who is madly in love with the Successor, is very determined to give him the ultimate present since Christmas is a special holiday for couples there in particular.
  • Handmade Is Better: After Amour discovers the True Meaning of Christmas, she sews a handmade doll made of cotton and her everlasting love as a gift to the Successor.
  • It Only Works Once: Her 1st passive "Always by Your Side", just like her original self's "My Fairy Tale", only works once.
  • True Meaning of Christmas: In Winter Amour's 5th Memory, little Tropon introduces her to her stuffed bear Pon Pon that her mom gave her and calls it her treasure. This is significant because Amour now realizes that her frantic search for a "special" gift is not needed since any ordinary gift from someone precious can become a precious treasure.
  • Unusually Uninteresting Sight: In Winter Amour's 4th Memory, the Successor is talking to a young Tropon who not only calls all men "Daddy" and all women "Mommy", but also stays inside a mysterious hole that is floating in midair. The Successor is treating such Unusually Uninteresting Sight as if it is no big deal but Amour thinks that he must be doing this because he sees how lonely the little girl looks and wants to keep her calm.
  • Wingding Eyes: At several points during her Character Memory story, Amour's pupils become yellow hearts as she's thinking of her beloved prince.
  • Yandere: As per usual, and this time she's also taken to stalking the Successor too. She even briefly gets jealous of the handmade doll that she personally made to give to the Successor because it will always be at her prince's side to be cherished when she herself can't get him to turn and look at her! She eventually adopts the attitude of I Want My Beloved to Be Happy as it will accompany the Successor from the time he says "Good morning" to "Good night" in her place.

    Iris (Another)

Attendant Tainted in Black

Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Warrior
Height and Weight: 154cm / 42kg
Blood Type: A
Birthday: 9/30
Lament: Flashbacks (JP by Hakubi; EN)
Voiced by: Inori Minase (JP); Rachel Slotky (EN)

An alternate version of the Successor's loyal attendant, this Iris came from a timeline where she never met the man who changed her life. As a result, Iris's life after running away from her father who sold her off to the Church's Knights deviated drastically from the regular Iris. While this Iris is far more powerful than her other self in power and spirit, the events she experienced made her more fragile.

While Iris and Iris (Another) are still the same person, both can be deployed in the same team as they are counted as different characters. For more information about her Prime Aura of Azure self, see here.

  • Abduction Is Love: Downplayed. The way she balefully spoke in her final Memory makes her sound as though she'll Kill and Replace Regular!Iris, but her Home 7 line reveals her catchphrase about taking whatever she desired is more literal and benign: inviting the Successor to come to her world, although he turns the offer down. Her Home 12 line comes back to this and tells him to cherish his Iris, saying she needs him more than Tainted!Iris does.
Home 12: You remember how you turned down my offer, right? Well, I've decided what you can do for me instead. After I'm gone, I want you to cherish her. After all, I'm sure she's your ideal version of me. And besides, she still needs you. Well, you already gave me more than I could ever ask for. I'm counting on you.
  • Alternate Self: She is a version of Iris who was not picked up by the Successor and became his loyal attendant. Her personality as a result takes a drastically dark turn.
  • BFS: Swings around a pitch-black slab of a blade a touch bigger than Regular!Iris's own.
  • Black Knight: Her pitch black armor and steel-grey sword styles her as one, contrasting with her regular white-themed self.
  • Breaking Old Trends: While not the first R-rarity Character to make the rarity jump (Illya says hi), she's the first variant to be an Alternate Self instead of being the same person as her regular version but dressed for something else.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Crosses with Desperately Craves Affection. Her entire life, she looked for someone to serve, but the first was her uncaring father, then the second was her traitorous friends she thought was family. It's implied that this is mainly why she serves the Successor now, no matter how much she gripes about it.
  • Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: Her amber eyes have a dull shine reflecting her grim reality.
  • Evil Counterpart: "Evil" may be a strong word given that this Iris is a survivor who had no choice but to be one, but she's the Darker and Edgier counterpart to our Iris and has lost all of her kind qualities.
  • Expy: A warrior armored in black with a cape, carrying a greatsword with a recognizable design down to the tie at its pommel, wandering around as a mercenary seeking out someone they could serve, and was betrayed by their father followed by their friend(s), resulting in trust issues—Iris might have been Guts in another life.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: In her final Memory, she flies into a rage about the life she could have had when she sees Regular!Iris with the Successor, then calming down and walking over to meet them... but not before reminding herself how she lives: taking whatever she wants. It's not known what she's really planning, but a few ideas come to mind...
  • Had to Be Sharp: Life as a lone mercenary all the way from childhood until now has forced much combat potential out of her, hence her strength being comparably greater than our Iris.
  • I Coulda Been a Contender!: How she reacts to seeing the life she could have had when seeing Regular!Iris living happily with the Successor. Whether or not she acts on taking that life for herself remains to be seen.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Eventually after she ends up killing her former friends for betraying her, she enters a mysterious light and ends up crossing space and time to join the Successor and the regular Iris, fulfilling the destiny that her regular self followed.
  • Light/Darkness Juxtaposition: Forms the dark part to Regular!Iris; their color schemes, personalities, moralities and even in-game skills are opposites of each other.
  • Perpetual Frowner: Not a single expression she has shows any joy, not even in the final Memory where most other Witches would sport a smile. This Iris just had it that hard a life.
  • Point of Divergence: That being Iris rolling out of the way of the Successor in his carriage, who passed by without a word instead of stopping and rescuing her. As a result, Iris experienced a different future than the one the player comes to know.
  • Sadist: Let's just say that if a certain Duke did not take her in, Iris would have been a lot more violent in her actions as heard in her skill voice lines.
Skill 1 Line: I'll make minced meat out of you!
Skill 2 Line: Cry, scream, beg for forgiveness!
  • Street Urchin: Her life after leaving her deadbeat dad. This would have happened to the regular Iris too if the Successor did not find her.
  • Token Evil Teammate: Virtually every other Witch thus far is morally upright or have sympathetic qualities. This Iris makes it clear that she's unscrupulous in how she deals with her enemies, namely showing them no mercy, and is only fighting for the Successor out of envy for regular Iris's nicer life.
  • Tsundere:
    • Unlike regular Iris who Cannot Spit It Out, this Iris behaves sarcastically towards the Successor but isn't without hints that she does care for him after all.
    • In her Home 8 line, she disparages Monica for trying to carry too many bags at once, then helps her despite her harshness.
  • What Does She See in Him?: Says as much in her Home 9 line about Regular!Iris's feelings for the Successor, going so far as to directly ask her and calling out on her clammed feelings. Not that she's one to talk about her own feelings.
  • You Are Who You Eat: The entire reason why her friends betrayed her was because they believed in a rumor that eating a Witch's heart will turn them into Witches too, thereby gaining the powers of one. The ridiculousness of this broke Iris down laughing before she slaughtered them in retaliation.

    Moddey (Summer)

Gravekeeper's Summer Holiday

Rarity: SR -> LR
Type: Sorcerer
Height and Weight: 142cm / 39kg
Blood Type: AB
Birthday: 11/23
Lament: Summer Flash (JP by Alfakyun; EN)
Voiced by: Aoi Yūki (JP); Andi Gibson (EN)

A dog-eared and tailed gravekeeper who is terrified of water after almost drowning in the past. Though training with Sabrina has made her barely able to dip her toes in the water, she still insists on having her swim ring despite claiming that she can at least do the doggy paddle.

Even in the summer mood, this doesn't mean that the dead are not around for Moddey to take care of (even if she has to put on an embarrassing swimsuit to enjoy the summer atmosphere). Her 1st active "Rest in Paradise" has spirits pissed that their eternal slumber has been disturbed awaken and deal 1 magical attack equal to 330% of Moddey's ATK to 3 random enemies and forms a hex that inflicts [Poison] on all targets for up to 4 turns which deals damage equal to 3% of their HP and from level 2 onwards also allows Moddey to absorb 15% of the ATK belonging to the poisoned enemy with the highest ATK into her own. Her 2nd active "Voices of the Abyss" have the wandering spirits near the waterfront attack random enemies with up to 4 magical attacks equal to up to 230% of Moddey's ATK and starting from level 2 increases the number of attacks by 1 (up to 9 at level 3) for each enemy afflicted with [Poison].

With the determination to be a gravekeeper that makes everyone smile regardless of their mortality, Moddey's 1st passive "A Gravekeeper's Job" cuts the damage from attacks inflicted on Moddey by up to 50%; up to 75% if said enemy is poisoned once upgraded. And with the belief that her deceased pet dog Laila will always rescue Moddey whenever she's in danger, her 2nd passive "Laila's With Me" increases Moddey's ATK by up to 5% at the start of each turn (up to 100% max.), further increasing by 5% for each poisoned enemy.

And to prevent herself from even touching the water, Moddey comes with her Unique Weapon "Tropical Floaty" which increases "Rest in Paradise"'s range to 4 random enemies, increases the ATK absorbed from her target to 30% and increases [Poison]'s damage to 5% of the target's current HP.

As Moddey and Moddey (Summer) are counted as two different characters, both can be deployed in the same team. For more information on her initial Aura of Azure self, see here.

  • Another Side, Another Story: Her Memory story is basically Sabrina's but from her own perspective.
  • Cute Little Fangs: Which is even more obvious than her normal self.
  • Developer's Foresight: Like with Sabrina, if your birthday took place before obtaining Moddey (Summer) and you already have her default version, her birthday line here will already be unlocked.
  • Forgot About Her Powers: Moddey initially spends the first part of Sabrina (Summer)'s Memory story and her own refusing to go into the water, but after a cursed creature attacks the kids and presses both her and Sabrina's Trauma Buttons, Moddey pulls a Get A Hold Of Yourself Man and heads into the water, conquering her own fear and helping Sabrina with hers. It's only after the creature is defeated and Sabrina points out that Moddey might have gotten over her aquaphobia that she remembers that she's supposed to be afraid of water and proceeds to make a beeline for the shore while begging for Laila to save her.
  • The Gadfly: Moddey's a bit more teasing of the Successor than she normally is, which she chalks up to being in a summer outfit and having her summer mood influence her powers as a result. However, she's not a tease because when the Successor does take her offer to ogle her in her swimsuit in her birthday line, she promptly yells at him to please stop looking at her.
  • Hidden Buxom: In her swimsuit, her rack is made more obvious than in her normal dress.
  • Improbable Weapon User: She fights with her swim ring. Dubbed the "Tropical Floaty", it serves as her unique weapon.
  • Little Bit Beastly: A cute girl with dog ears and tail.
  • Poisonous Person: Just like her regular self, Moddey's skills focus on the [Poison] status ailment.
  • Punctuated! For! Emphasis!: The English voice for her first attack line:
    "You. Big. DUMMY!!"
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: Most of her lines consist of her being very embarrassed that she's wearing quite the revealing swimsuit and her UR line has her being weirded out that some girls have no issue with Stripperiffic clothes, notably Hathor and Belle. Her Live 2D art even has her red in the face at various points. The Successor can choose to call her cute, if only to make her even more embarrassed.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: The description for Sabrina's Summer variant reveals that Moddey is afraid of water, with her own Summer variant going into more detail showing that she nearly drowned when she was younger, resulting in said fear.
  • Wingding Eyes: Moddey's eyes here are in spirals, presumably either because she's scared to approach the water or she's embarrassed in wearing her skimpy swimsuit.
