Crossover Witches
Crossover characters in general
- Birds of a Feather: As fellow travelers from another world, Liselotte and Matilda have become friends with each other and have a voice line for this.
- "Do It Yourself" Theme Tune: Both Liselotte and Matilda's Laments are sung by their respective voice actresses in Japanese.
- Mascot Mook: The otherworldly travelers brought with them signature creatures from their games. For Liselotte, it's Cucorns, and for Matilda, it's Upa Jellyfish.
- My Name Is ???: Presumably because they hail from another world, both Liselotte's and Matilda's blood types are labelled as "???".
- Sampling: Like the Witches of Qlipha, the collab characters for Cryptract and Mitrasphere have their Laments taken from existing music pieces; in this case the title themes of their respective games, making them Title Theme Drops as well.
- Trapped in Another World: These girls were transported from their home worlds into the world of MementoMori. However, thanks to the Successor's kindness, they aren't worried about finding a way home yet.
- Walking Spoiler: Both Liselotte and Matilda's Memory stories may contain traces of their home game's main plots and assumes that the player of MementoMori has played them, so tread with caution, all who have played neither of them.
Beast Summoning: Cryptract
Liselotte
- Aura: AzureRarity: SR -> LRType: SorcererHeight and Weight: 163cm / 53kgBlood Type: ???Birthday: 2/17Voiced by: Yukari Tamura (JP);
Hailing from the world of Beast Summoning: Cryptract, the gentle-mannered Liselotte serves as the secretary of a Lord in the Gilsanian Empire located in the continent of Centrea in an another world and treats everyone with warmth. She was transported to the world of MementoMori, a world that strangely parallels her own via a magic tome the color of the sky and the sea.
- Affectionate Nickname: Liselotte prefers to be known as "Lise" by friends.
- Anachronic Order: Judging from her travel experience in her Memories and discovering the conspiracy behind the raging Mystic Beasts, she has already been through at least most of the main story in Cryptract.
- Audience Surrogate: Being a newcomer to the world of MementoMori, her Memories take the form of recounting her experiences in it and what she learnt, from Mystic Beasts to the situation of witches. For older players, it serves as nice summary of the world's setting.
- Birds of a Feather: With Iris as both are the right hands of their respective Lords.
- Chronic Hero Syndrome: Though thrown into another world she has nothing to do with, she swore to help those who helped her when she arrived and achieve a brighter future for this world, no matter how little, because that's what her own lord would have done.
- Guest Fighter: Liselotte comes from Beast Summoning: Cryptract, another game from Bank of Innovation. However, both Cryptract and Mitrasphere are now Defunct Online Video Games.
- An Ice Person: Being an actual Nice Girl pun aside, her Active Skills Gungnir and Spring Water has her hurl Ice Crystals at her enemies.
- Mascot Mook: The slime blobs around her are called Cucorns, a common type of fairy from her world that have been transported along with her. A voice line about them has her remark that they must be the first creatures of their kind to have appeared in MementoMori.
- Sampling: Her Lament is based on the theme tune of her home game, Theme of Cryptract.
- Spell Book: Liselotte wields one as her Unique Weapon. This same tome is also how she ended up transported from the Gilsanian Empire to the Duchy of Fran, making it triple as a Plot-Triggering Book and a Portal Book as well.
- Whole-Plot Reference: In her Memories, she lampshades a number of parallels between the new world she's in to her home of Centrea, from the same-named Mystic Beasts being a threat, to witches being spurred by an unknown perpetrator into causing disasters just like with the Mystic Beasts of Centrea, and to the Duke of Fran (who has a devoted attendant much like Liselotte) uniting persecuted witches to fight against the evils of the world.
Mitrasphere
Matilda
Matilda Penthesilea
- Aura: CrimsonRarity: SR -> LRType: SorcererHeight and Weight: 123cm / 32kgBlood Type: ???Birthday: 2/23Voiced by: Rie Kugimiya (JP);
From the world of Mitrasphere, where an ocean hangs in the sky, comes a young demihuman and budding queen to an all-female hunting tribe, having sought an end to the curse of dendrification plaguing her tribe. A twist of fate has directed her adventures in her world to a new one, but all the same, her heart tells her to lend her strength to the Successor and the witches.
- Anachronic Order: Her last Memory shows she and the player Adventurer of Mitrasphere having already defeated the witch maintaining the dendrification curse.
- Berserk Button: Do not call her tiny.
- Bittersweet Ending: In Matilda's last Memory story, she and Mitrasphere's Player Character have defeated the witch that cast the dendrification curse on her people, preventing any more victims. However, those already affected such as Matilda herself with parts of her feet already turned into tree bark are unable to revert to normal, which means that the curse's victims will just have to live with their dendrification.
- Deceased Parents Are the Best: Her mother Isabella, the queen before her, was her role model she greatly looked up to. But when the queen attempted to confront the witch causing the tribe's dendrification, she was fully turned into a tree, leaving Matilda to take queenship.
- Guest Fighter: Matilda hails from Mitrasphere, another Bank of Innovation game that unfortunately ended its Japanese server with Cryptract's own.
- Height Angst: In the active skill Queen of Jobari, you'll find her exclaiming, "Who was that calling me tiny just now?!"
- Magic Staff: She wields a wooden mace-like staff to cast magic. In Mitrasphere, this is known as the Wooden Staff, a mace-type weapon used by healing-oriented Clerics who may also have other tools that deal damage, which fits Matilda's supportive skills that also deal damage.
- Mascot Mook: She accidentally brought with her a flock of Upa Jellyfish, generally friendly jellyfish that fly in the air. They are intelligent enough to interact with people but can't speak their language, though Matilda can understand them just fine and translate.
- Pint-Sized Powerhouse: 123 cm is pretty short when compared to most of the older Witches. Still, she's got what it takes to fight.
- Sampling: Just like how Liselotte's Lament is taken from her home game's title theme, Matilda's Lament is a Title Theme Drop using Mitrasphere's "Main Theme ~Invitation from Heaven's Ocean~".
- Suspiciously Specific Denial: No, she's perfectly fine on her own; it's the Upas that she worries about being lonely in a strange new world! According to her, at least.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Bananas - she just can't get enough of them. She's got a line about sharing it with the Successor as gratitude but is having trouble finding any in his worldnote , and has Royally Certified Banana as a passive skill of all things.
- Tsundere: When talking about the Upas, she claims that she's worried about them being lonely, not herself! Then and again, she is voiced by Rie Kugimiya...
- Young and in Charge: She's the queen of Jobari, having had to take the position when her mother was turned into a tree.
