- Amazingly Embarrassing Parents: His father is a teacher at his school. Which results in an amazing amount of moments where he cringes inwards.
- Barrier Warrior: Summons a shield quite often in combat.
- Big, Screwed-Up Family: His father is one of the most popular heroes on social media. Thus, the entire family is exposed to the camera.
- Badass Book Worm: He fits the stereotypical bookworm, but he's an extremely skilled fighter and not someone one would want to mess with.
- Celebrity Superhero: His father at least. In fact, their entire family is famously known.
- Dragon Rider: Can summon a dragon and soar through the air with his quirk.
- Eating Lunch Alone: If not for Suzuhime, he'd be eating lunch in a empty classroom alone.
- Emotional Powers: The color of his creations depend on his emotions.
- Foil: With Suzuhime. Tezuka is the son of the famous hero Marvel, with a powerful quirk while Suzuhime is a altruistic hero who doesn't believe in her own strength. This clearly shines during the Maze Run where Suzuhime helps out multiple classmates throughout the maze while Tezuka lost sight of what matters and focused entirely on winning.
- Good Luck Charm: Suzuhime's gift to Tezuka. It clearly means a lot to him.
- Imagination-Based Superpower: His quirk is the ability to manifest whatever his imagination can think up of.
- Power Gives You Wings: Has the ability to create golden wings with his quirk.
- Shonen Hair: Spiky anime hair.
- The Ace: Was one of the few students who got accepted via recommendation. Not only that, but his quirk is extremely versatile.
- When She Smiles: The rare instances where he does smile, it brings forward a certain warmth.
02. Okajima Takayuki
- Adorable Abomination: Despite his quirk, he is all-around a kind and welcoming individual.
- Affectionate Nickname: Saito calls him "Okkun"
- Best Friend: With Saito.
- Combat Tentacles: Is able to become a mass of tentacles to fight and maneuver.
- Country Mouse: Is currently adapting to the city life.
- Covered with Scars: His body is covered with them.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Was unable to lay a tentacle during his match with Milan during the Sports Festival.
- Early Installment Character-Design Difference: Used to be named Okajima Mafuyu, and was designed to be a women in the beta.
- Lovecraftian Superpower: His quirk.
03. Kawakita Yashui — Swan Song
- Beware the Quiet Ones: Despite the lack of combat advantages her quirk provides, she is highly skilled at close combat. Being able to win against Kagami- who has a clear advantage against her.
- Blessed with Suck: Her quirk disables her ability to create any sort of noise.
- Claiming Via Flag: Was able to steal and plant a flag back to her base during the 2nd round of the Sports Festival.
- Cute Mute: She has a demure sort of air to her.
- Fights Like a Normal
- The Speechless: Not exactly. But her quirk makes any noise she makes completely silent.
04. Umemiya Maru
- Distracted by the Sexy: Not exactly his fault, but he still fell for Mikamo's pitcher trap.
- Time Stands Still: His quirk allows him to have pockets of time to himself.
05. Utsumi Tsuki
- All-Loving Hero: She loves making new friends and is immensely easy to get along with. Even when Katsura said something horrible to her, she is more than happy to still be friends with her.
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Canonically has ADHD and switches to multiple subjects in a single conversation more often than not.
- Charm Person: Can use pheromones to force a person to become temporarily drawn to her.
- Genki Girl: She's an over-abundance of energy, never running out of topics to talk about.
- Gossipy Hens: Loves listening in on the latest gossip.
- The Cutie: She's a pink adorable moth girl.
- The Ditz: Innocently so.
06. Kokonoe Suzuhime
- Aesop Amnesia: Been told by Tezuka to not overwork herself in regards to training for the Sports Festival. While she says she wouldn't, she still trained nearly everyday.
- Always Someone Better: With Reiji. Not only did he receive glowing scores at the Hero Exam, he ends up in the final 4 of the Sports Festival. Compared to Suzuhime who clearly works hard at everything she does, she falls short next to her cousin with the same quirk.
- Apologetic Attacker: Often does this, in fact will make food for anyone she happens to hurt during practice.
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: Cat quirk.
- Big Fancy House: Her house is quite large for a family of four and has a two story aquarium.
- Bouncing Battler: Having a cat quirk, she can naturally jump great heights with ease.
- Charm Person: Her ultimate move captures the attention of others.
- Character Tics:
- Her tails tends to wrap around herself when she's tense and it wags slightly when she's interested.
- Her ears turn towards where she's interested and droops down when she's disappointed.

- Defiant to the End: Fought tooth and nail against Okajima despite fighting a losing battle.

07. Wada Toshimi
- Cowardly Lion: He's more anxious than most of his peers and isn't the type to stand up for himself. However when it comes to his friends, he is more than willing to fight for them.
- Did I Just Say That Out Loud?: Accidentally implied that hie parents didn't have a clean divorce.
- Embarrassing Superpower: It's not the most... presentable quirk.
- Kids Are Cruel: Was bullied for "appearing" gay to his peers and as a result, too anxious to be seen around boys.
- Mistaken for Gay: A common misconception due to stereotypes he happened to fit.
- Sizeshifter: His quirk is the ability to fit into any enclosed space, almost regardless of size.
08. Kobayashi Reiji
- Animal-Themed Superbeing: Cat quirk.
- Better as Friends: Had a interest in Wada, turns out he isn't romantically interested in men.
- Bouncing Battler: Having a cat quirk, he can naturally jump great heights with ease.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Has shown to be rather skilled in a lot of different skills, yet doesn't seem to put in much effort.
- Cats Are Lazy: He certainly fits the description.
- Curse: Can cast bad luck onto others.
- Pretty Boy: Look at him.
- Secret-Keeper: Kept a secret with Kei in regards to being caught smoking.
- Second Place Is for Winners: Getting 2nd place makes him quite happy, especially seeing Tsubasa's tears of happiness.
- Super-Hearing: Comes with the cat quirk, free of charge.
- The Baby of the Bunch: Parodied. Due to Koemi's antics, she has assigned him the 'son' between the play-pretend family between Koemi and Wada.
09. Touyama Kei
- Anti-Hero: His reasons for wanting to be a hero is because he was bored.
- Bad Liar: It's easy to tell when he lies.
- Big Brother Instinct: Is always thinking about how to make them happy.
- Blood Magic: Can manifest Nurikabe with his blood. Although, he'd need a good amount of it.
- Book Smart: In regards to his studies, he keeps up quite well and has always been the one of the top students in his grade.
- Creepy Child: While he's attractive and kind, there is something not quite right with him.
- Cross Dresser: As shown during Suzuhime's and Haas' aquarium date.
- Defeat Means Friendship: With Haas and Saito. Began to be closer when Haas stole the compass he snatched and after Tsubasa won between a 1v1 fight between the two.
- Detachment Combat: Is able to break apart his feelings and manifest them into yokai.
- Dull Eyes of Unhappiness: One of the few characters lacking shine in their eyes.
- Emotional Powers: His quirk.
- Everyone Can See It: with Haas.
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: With Mei.
- Ghost Story: His quirk is the ability to manifest ghosts based off famous yokai stories.

- Literal-Minded: Can't quite understand metaphors or common slang amongst his peers.
- Karmic Butt-Monkey: He's an asshole who gets what he deserves, usually pretty immediately.
- Oblivious to Love: Seems to lack understanding that people can be attracted to him.
- Pest Controller: Often summons swarms of aborted rats.
- Pretty Boy: And he knows it.
- Real Men Cook: He can bake too.
- Secret-Keeper: Kept a secret with Reiji in regards to being caught smoking.
- Stepford Smiler: His smile doesn't reach his eyes.
10. Ichiki Uruki
- Master of Threads: Her quirk makes her able to attach puppet strings on whomever she touches.
- Nervous Wreck: Is often much too nervous to ever start conversations, let alone speak in the first place.
- Relieved Failure: Relaxes significantly in regards to losing the first round of the Sports Festival.
- The Quiet One: Has never spoken without being spoken to first.
11. Haas Kumohide
- Actually Pretty Funny: Absolutely loses his shit whenever the topic of Touyama being kicked in the balls by Saito is brought up.
- Class Representative: of 1A
- Distracted by the Sexy: Not exactly his fault, but he still fell for Mikamo's pitcher trap.
- Elemental Embodiment: Can make his body completely sentient glittery sand at will.
- Everyone Can See It: With Kei.
- Nice Guy: Friendly, caring, and looks out for everyone in class 1A. Especially students who tend to have a hard time.
- Meaningful Name: His Danish name is Joost, his last name is Haas. Joost Haas sounds like Justice.
- Sentient Sands: His quirk.
- Super Cute Superpowers: His sand is glittery. Not much gets cuter than that.
- Trademark Favorite Food: Stroopwafels.
- Two First Names: His Japanese first name is Kumohide and his Dutch name is Joost.
12. Tokuda Hibi
- Boring, but Practical: Her quirk is simply enhanced strength, compared to her classmates, it doesn't shine much.
- Disappointed in You: Her family doesn't believe she has what it takes to be a hero.
13. Saito Tsubasa
- Accent Slip-Up: His Okinawan accent tends to slip in. Not that anyone minds.
- Agony of the Feet: Injuries his leg two different ways on the same day.
- Attack! Attack! Attack!: His main focus in fights is not to plan, but to brute force it.

- Bug Catching: Enjoys this in his past time. And catching frogs, much to Zamami's demise.

15. Katsura Odaka
- Alpha Bitch: Gathered pretty and approachable girls to form a clique.
- Attention Whore: Constantly fishing for compliments, and will be visually upset if they don't suit her wants.
- Beneath the Mask: One may catch a glimpse of a Katsura they never known. A vulnerability she wishes to hide.
- Dehumanizing Insult: Has said something discriminatory to Utsumi in a fit of frustration.
- Prehensile Hair: Is able to control the length of her hair at will and of course, use her hair as extra limbs.
- Proud Beauty: Is aware of her beauty and rightfully proud of it.
16. Zamami Zenkichi
- Dude Looks Like a Lady: At first glance, he looks like a perfectly normal girl. Until he speaks.
- Queer Establishing Moment: Not afraid to say he's gay, probably one of the only characters so far so open to admit it.
- Synchronization: When he uses his quirk to enforce damage, he unfortunately feels the exact amount of pain.
17. Touei Koemi
- Achilles' Heel: Her quirk is the ability to render people incapacitated with psychedelic symptoms. Unfortunately, if she uses it too much, she receives a lasting headache.
- Cloudcuckoo Lander: Most of her comments are completely off of left field.
- Gossipy Hens: Loves listening and blabbing about the latest gossip.
- Innocently Insensitive: Has blurted out rather terrible remarks without thinking.
- The Ditz: Is often seen as the class clown.
- Toast of Tardiness: Often running out the door with a toast in her mouth and a record of tardies.
- Sore Loser: Was the only protagonist who did not make it to the 1v1.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Told this when she incapacitates her own teacher.
- With Catlike Tread: Most, if not all attempts of her trying to sneak by during trainings- she is too loud and too impatient to ever pull through.
18. Nishibori Saneharu
- Achilles' Heel: While difficult to reach, if one were to attack him while he's in Gashadokuro, he is unable to move out of the way.
- Does Not Know How to Say "Thanks": Is often praised and begrudgingly accepts it just so people don't push more onto him.
- Jerk with a Heart of Gold: While he has a tough demeanor, he's genuinely a gentle person.
- Ghost Story: His quirk is based on the yokai "Gashadokuro."
- Skeletons in the Coat Closet: His quirk is the ability to summon a large skeleton with himself where the heart would be.
- Tall, Dark, and Snarky: He stands at 5'8 and is often wearing dark clothes that matches his eyes and hair.
- The Ace: Nishibori was the highest scored student during the Entrance Exam for not only his flashy quirk but for his heroic deeds during the Entrance Exam.
- Tendrils of Darkness: Is covered in this when he's in Gashadokuro.
19. Yamashita Beni
- Apologetic Attacker: Knocked out Katsura and was ridden with guilt.
- First-Name Basis: With Shinomura.
- Nice Guy: Is kind to everyone and has a overall open and friendly air to her.
- Sky Surfing: Uses her skateboard to surf through the sky using her quirk.
20. Sasaki Sairo
- Endearingly Dorky: Is a huge fan of video games and anime, despite how she looks.

- Impossibly Cool Clothes: Is covered with kid-core accessories full of different colors, layers of patterns and sparkles.

10. Endou Tenshi
- Angelic Abomination: Downplayed. They are immensely pretty and rather friendly. But their appearance deeply implies something is off.
