- Dante's Inferno: Dwalin, armed with Nightcrawler's scythe, ventures through the Nine Circles of Hell to save the love of his life.
- DC Universe Online: After Megatron takes over the planet in the future, Spike goes back in time to the present and gives a ton of people superpowers, creating a bunch of superheroes and supervillains. Those who use their powers for good are mentored by the likes of Spike's archfoe Jayne Cobb/Theodore Rex, Bellicus, and Bella Crawford/Shaak Ti. Those who decide to become villains work with the likes of the present day Spike, Bellicus's archfoe Fire Lord Ozai and his girlfriend Calliope Bradford/Pyrrha Nikos, and one of Bella/Shaak's enemies Ro Laren.
- DeathSpank : Starscream fights the forces of injustice and evil in the most heroic of undergarments.
- Dead or Alive: (Using the most recent cast available)
- 1: After thinking that Emperor Charles di Britannia has killed her brother Alucard, Litchi Faye-Ling deserted her ninja clan and ran off into a tournament where participants include DJ Vector the Crocodile, bouncer Kenshiro and his Tai-Chi Quan rival/stalker Kyubey, wrestler Pascal and her dad (also wrestler) Scorpion, mercenary Tygra, and Old Master Jade Curtiss. Tailing behind Litchi was her half-sister and would-be executioner Sakura Kasugano and super ninja Nova (who had his own game beforehand).
- 2: A new tournament is hosted by the daughter of the previous owner (also opera singer), Rider. While looking for the missing Litchi, Nova encounters a strange karateka known as Patroklos Alexander, who in the end is revealed to be an amnesiac Alucard, while destroying a giant tengu monster. It's later revealed that Litchi has been cloned.
- 3: There's another tournament held by the shady Ant-Man, which introduced drunken master Warrior of Light and Sherry Birkin, another karateka who took care of Alucard and has been looking for 'Patroklos'. It also involves Ant-Man's right-hand woman Lust, a psycho assassin who turned out to have killed Rider's mother. The final boss is Sakura's possessed father and she tearfully killed him. Rider officially won the tournament and...
- 4: She held another tournament, also introducing Jade's student as he retired, Forest Law, Viola, Rider's half sister and a Geisha, Slippy Toad, a United Nations Space Command SPARTAN-11, and Maya Amano, a luchadora who's also a scientist who works for Ant-Man. At the climax; Nova, Alucard and Sakura assaulted the enemy hidden base containing a Litchi-cloning factory, while Litchi dealt with her clone, but the whole base fell apart when Rider blew everything up to atone for their sins and was willing to die... until Vector saved her, and he ends up being designated as the winner.
- 5: Two years passed, and Rider announced that she's back and holding another tournament to promote that her corporate is no longer corrupt now that she fired Ant-Man and his gang. Newcomers include an MMA fighter who is a fan of Scorpion, who now retired from wrestling and working on an oil rig with another newcomer Asura, who turns out to be the amnesiac son of Ant-Man that ends up having no intention of being good. The official winner for this tournament is Kenshiro. But he's pissed because he didn't get to fight Asura who handed him his butt out of tournament. Later editions add Kodachi Kuno, Sailor Mercury, Mako Mankanshoku, the tengu monster's daughter, Rei Ayanami, and Izumo Kamiki.
- Dimensions: A condensed version of the first four games, but while Alucard, Charles di Britannia, Nova, Pascal, Jigen, Warrior of Light, Sherry, and Ant-Man remain the same, Litchi is Charmcaster, Sakura is Faye Valentine, Vector is Cyborg, Kenshiro is Harry Potter, Jade is Wong, Tygra is Captain MacMillan, Scorpion is Lex Luthor, Rider is Anko Mitarashi, Lust is Liane Cartman, Maya is Psylocke, and Viola is Nancy Dufour. Kyubey and Forest also sound different. Daisuke Jigen is a mercenary with a history with MacMillan, Storm Shadow is Faye's adopted father, The Joker is Anko's dad, and Eva Parker is helping Nova.
- Dead Rising: Freelance journalist Jindrax journeys to a shopping mall in Colorado, where he finds its population filled with zombies. While surviving, he meets people like Mei Ling, Bayu, Warren Vidic, and the Blob. Goofy is a crazed gun store owner.
- Dead Rising 2: Malcolm Barrett finds himself in a zombie outbreak after taking part in a game show, while surviving he meets up with people like Julian Star, Rock, Spencer Olchin, and Waspinator. Double D is an insane mailman.
- Dead Rising 3: T.J. is the player character.
- Deadpool: The Merc with a Mouth, Smokescreen, forces the developers of Transformers: War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron to make a video game about him and wants Nathan Drake as his voice. The plot of said game opens with Smokescreen performing a hit on corrupt media mogul James Heller, only for Bloo to use James's satellites and kill James himself. Smokescreen then hooks up with Guilmon, Mercy Graves, Courtney Gears, and Menagerie to stop Bloo. Deathstroke also wants to stop Bloo and Christie is the Grim Reaper.
- Death Stranding: Daryl is stuck on an island; meanwhile Hannibal has to deal with a nasty eye problem (again).
- Deponia: Gordon is a Jerk with a Heart of Gold who's trying to get off the junk planet of Deponia. Upon failing to do so in a hilarious fashion, he finds Lt. Samantha Traynor and accidentally knocks her into Deponia. Rosabel is Gordon's ex whom he still lives with, and Thomas the Tank Engine is Gordon's "friend" (read: the only person who gets along with him).
- Desperados III: Phil Grim is a bounter hunter hunting down the outlaw Alduin, who had killed his father, with his friend Onigumo, a trapper who used to work for Alduin. Along the way he made new allies with Natsu Dragneel, a mercenary doctor with a deadly aim, Katalina, a woman trying to save her uncles ranch and skilled in seduction, and Cere Junda, a voodoo witch with strange powers. And during his quest he also helped arrest Claude Von Riegen, a corrupt railroad baron which Alduin worked under.
- Destroy All Humans!: Father Balder and Invader Zim invade Earth in the hopes of harvesting human DNA (and destroying a few humans along the way). During his mission, Balder comes into conflict with army general Twitch, President Tony Montana and enigmatic Majestic leader Adam Lyon.
- Destroy All Humans! 2: Ten years after the events of the first game, Balder and Zim team up with Russian superspy Jack and her boyfriend Big Daddy to investigate a conspiracy involving Balder's arch enemies, the Blisk (one of whom happens to be The Medic). Rupert Giles wants to avenge the death of Adam. Balder forms a cult dedicated to Captain Qwark, led by deranged hippie Agent 9.
- Devil May Cry:
- Devil May Cry: Wiseman uses Sailor Uranus to lure a demon hunter to his island stronghold, so that he can enact revenge on this man because the general of his forces who defected and sealed him away was this hunter's father.
- Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening: Ken Masters is greeted by Oswell Spencer and given a cryptic message regarding his twin brother, the Quantum Ranger. Turns out that the two are trying to obtain the power of Ken's father sealed away within a gigantic demonic edifice, and Ken sets off to stop them. His quest has him running into Robin Sena, who has her own reasons for joining the fray, mainly the fact that Spencer is her father; as well as a very curious Motoko Kusanagi.
- Devil May Cry 4: Lelouch Lamperouge sports a demonic arm and has a love interest in the form of Hinata Hyuuga. Ken shows up to make things complicated by swooping in and shooting an elderly pope named Gaara, who is now revived as a demon and rules over an island country. Hinata's brother is Frank West, who is busy dealing with a demon outbreak alongside his Royal Knights, and sends Lelouch after Ken in his stead. Among the demons encountered this time around are Omega-Xis and Ophanimon.
- Devil May Cry 5: Lelouch joins up with Ken and Citra Talugmai, a weapons maker, to hunt demons when an unknown assailant comes to Lelouch's home, and cuts his right arm for power. Soon after that, Ken is contacted by Melone to hunt the new demon king, Gordon, along with his familiar Scratchmen Apoo. Uranus and Robin (who are now Faye Valentine and C.C. respectively) are unwittingly used by Gordon to fight Lelouch, Ken and Melone. The demons this time are Leon, the female player character, Grey Fly, and Dio Brando. Hinata appears as The Faceless Cameo when Lelouch calls in a moment of despair, whereas Melone and Gordon are revealed to be the Good and Evil halves of the Quantum Ranger, who's also revealed to be Lelouch's actual father.
- Diablo III: Martian Manhunter and Anne-Maria are heavy-weapon wielding barbarians, Luxord and Duchess Satine hunt demons, Heihachi Mishima and Vasha are warrior monks, Anansi and Karen are witch doctors, and Red Arrow and Azula are wizards. The three selectable assistants for our heroes are Greed II, Arcee, and Malcom Reed. In order to stop Professor Xavier and Depth Charge from reviving the evil Sajin Komamura, the selected hero must join forces with Gopher and his niece, Bastila. They are guided by archangel Kang the Conqueror, who was cast out of the holy order (whose other members include Dr. Young and Jack Ryder) by Thor. Besides Xavier, Depth Charge and Komamura, our heroes must also battle the likes of Maleficent, Lex Luthor, Chloe Frazer, and Shockwave.
- Diablo III: Reaper of Souls: Crusaders Balthier and Motoko Kusanagi join the band of selectable heroes, while Marta Lualdi takes over Duchess Satine's role as the female demon hunter. Sajin Komamura has been finally defeated, but his threat is far from over. Kang the Conqueror oversees the sealing of the Black Soulstone that houses his soul, as well as the souls of the other demon lords. Unfortunately, Sgt. Shigeno, a former member of the holy order, wants to get a piece of the Soulstone's power.
- Disgaea: Hour of Darkness: A jerkass young overlord, Rita Repulsa, and his vassal Rei Ayanami (later Rukia) meet a young angel, Mieu who tries to teach them about love. They occasionally encounter the rather flamboyant Keiichi Maebara who hates his new nickname. Later, they have to deal with Emperor Charles zi Britannia, Defender of Earth who is accompanied by his lovely sidekick Lulu and All-Purpose Robot Rito Revolto.
- Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories: Zelos tries to summon Ansem so he can defeat him, but instead he accidentally summons Faye Valentine. His brother T.K., his little sister Hinata Hyuga, a snow ninja named Kari, and Rukia from the first game also join. They occasionally run into Gilgamesh, a washed up star.
- Disgaea 3: Absence of Justice: Demon delinquent Edward Elric steals Renton Thurston's hero title so that he gets the honor of kicking his dad's ass. Meanwhile, his rival Chun-Li tries to teach him how badass it is to be good, and starry-eyed princess Savory tries to open said delinquent's heart with a chainsaw. Rufus is a Hot-Blooded Chef of Iron who dispenses advice to Edward with cooking metaphors, and Tink is Edward's butler who is secretly corrupting him so that he can have a Worthy Opponent to fight as a supervillain.
- Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten: After his Prinnies are taken from him, former Tyran vampire Greed and his loyal servant Ragna the Bloodedge attempt to reform the corrupt government of the Netherworld. Along the way, they are joined by a failed Prinny, Sakura Haruno, a Final Boss in training, Yoko Littner, and an angel, Zazie Rainyday, who was sent by Mieu from the first game. They are also occasionally chased around by Tsukasa and Gilgamesh from the second game.
- Disgaea Dimension 2: Rita, with help from Rukia and Mieu, has finally realized his dream to become supreme overlord of the Netherworld. However, none of his subjects take him seriously, and a group of greater demons led by Scorpion, Lilith, and Georg Prime challenge Rita's authority with their "perfect candidate" to his throne: the fiercely obedient Purple Heart. Meanwhile, Estelle drops by and claims to be Rita's sister while Hikaru is going around being mysterious.
- Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance: David Young, Chou-Chou, Yasuhiro Hagakure, Merchant Sereth, Filia, and Shinji Matou all want to kill Kirbopher (and his generals, Asuna and Iron Tager) for varying reasons.
- Disney Dreamlight Valley:
- You come to Dreamlight Valley, a magical valley consisting of a variety of colorful characters. The starting cast consists of mouse couple Mickey Mouse Cookie and Shizuka Joestar, bumbling dog Sam, hot-tempered duck The Mayor of Norrisville, millionaire duck Alfred Pennyworth, old wizard Johnny Bravo, trash-compacting robot R2-D2, rat chef the Moody Foodie, village chief Hailey, shapeshifting demigod Gumpers, royal siblings April O'Neil and Freya, ice harvester Ares, mermaid and prince couple Patsy Smiles and Spider-Man, sea witch Kanta's Granny, and abusive adoptive mom Rosalie Octavius.
- Later arrivals include toys Captain Wilson and Meldar Prime, lion couple Leonardo and Kate Moseley, scheming uncle Doctor Strange, summer-loving snowman Morbius, fairy godmother Grandma Panda, alien experiment Belt, normal girl Sweet Mayhem, sugar-themed racer Daneesha, and beauty-and-beast couple Donna Troy, and Lieutenant J.T. Marsh.
- Disney Speedstorm: An AI who loves Disney movies brings together various iconic Disney characters for epic races. The starting roster consists of Mickey Mouse Cookie, one of Ratigan's thugs, Sylvester, Video Game Rango, Wendy Testaburger, Bob Anders, Rose Quartz, Young Mickey, Farmer Smurf, Ro Rowen, Drake, Fennec Shand, and Wu.
- Monsters, Inc.: Monsters Wheeljack, Scooter, Yoda, and Carmelita Fox join the race. Marty McFly also joins as a bonus racer.
- Toy Story: Living Toys Forrest Gump, Tim Taylor, Abby Mallard, and Janine Melnitz take to the track. They are also joined by bonus racers Papa Box and Cat.
- Lilo & Stitch: Kenzie and her alien friends Belt, Master Oogway, Crunch Bandicoot, and Raven all take to the Hawaiian streets in this season. Chloe and Dot Warner also join as the bonus racers this time.
- Aladdin: Steve Hale, Skye of Lynlorra, George W. Bush and Paimon race through Agrabah. They are joined by villains Whisper and Reggie Belafonte.
- Frozen: For this frosty season, the new racers are Gossip Girl, Freya, Jesse St. James, Morbius, and Greg Serrano. They are joined by old-timey guests Ferb and Misty, and the robotic R2-D2.
- Dissidia Final Fantasy: For years, April O'Neil and The Arbiter have waged war over light and dark respectively. This time, they have summoned their own armies of warriors for the ultimate showdown between good and evil.
- The Warriors of April are Suigetsu Hozuki, Nero, Joshua, Superman, Razer, Kisala, Jason Morgan, Gin Ichimaru, Asbel Lhant, Ratchet, and Zadavia.
- The Warriors of Arbiter are Vegeta, Superman, Lust, the Duke of Ghor, M. Bison, Welkin Gunther, Superman, Spider-Woman, Yuu Asou, Grimlock, and Superman.
- Yeah, that's right. There are four different versions of Superman in this battle.
- In the prequel, Josie, Aaron Peters, Brigitte Stark, Lampita Pasionado, Tommy Akers, Gaara, and Karin join the fray on April's side. Talia Al Ghul might also be around to help out at times.
- In addition, Venom blunders into the middle of the conflict while travelling the multiverse and is overjoyed to be able to challenge Razer to a rematch.
- Dissidia Final Fantasy NT: The heroes and villains return for another cycle of conflict, this time led by Meredith Wheeler and Kalf, respectively. A Falskaar combatant, Nikki Ann-Marie, Sarah Boyer, Yuu Otosaka, Kit Fisto, and Chase Jennings join the heroes as newcomers.
- Donkey Kong Country: Ganondorf and Elder Toguro (formerly Mumbo Jumbo and Kazooie) are two monkeys who rescue their banana hoard from invaders such as Guile (formerly Daniel Carrington), occasionally getting help from characters such as Toguro's girlfriend Zed (formerly Pipsy) and Ganondorf's father Big the Cat (formerly Tricky the Triceratops).
- Dota 2: When two powerful beings imprisoned in stone fall to the world, all sorts of heroes gather to fight for them. These include a jaeger, the Spy, the Heavy, the Sniper, Miss Pauling, Pong Krell, Fatman, The Incredible Hulk, Deadpool, Numbuh 4, Lieutenant Hedgecock, Depthcharge, Bill, Meta Knight, Duke Nukem, Sgt. Avery Johnson, Cortana, Madeline Bergman, Alyx Vance, the G-Man, Dr. Isaac Kleiner, Tarin Faroush, Candyman, Spike Spiegel, Rocket Raccoon, Samurai Jack, Connie Conehead, Ramon Salazar, Flora, and countless others.

- In the Witch Hunt DLC, Ysolda and Ricken accompany the Warden and their Canine Companion as they attempt to search for Vala Mal Doran, who disappeared shortly after the end of the Fifth Blight.
- Dragon Age II: Henry Condell or Ciri flees their darkspawn-overrun hometown with their family alongside Hydaelyn (from Heavensward onwards), a knight fleeing the Battle of Ostagar. They reach the city of Kirkwall, where they meet up with characters such as B.J. Blazkowicz, a dwarven storyteller; Shulk, an apostate healer and former Grey Warden; Gwen Cooper, a Dalish blood mage; Balthier, an escaped slave elf from Tevinter; Zoya, a Rivaini pirate; and Paul Atreides, an exiled prince who has taken vows with the Chantry. They attempt to navigate Kirkwall's various issues, including a Qunari insurrection led by Amon, and a Mage-Templar conflict between the River Spirit and Meridia.
- In the Mark of the Assassin DLC, Henry/Ciri and their friends help out Penny as she attempts to retrieve a treasure from an Orlesian duke.
- Dragon Age: Inquisition: A relative unknown (voiced by Bertie Pelham, Bucky Barnes, Samantha Traynor, or Arcee) suddenly gets a glowing magical mark on their hand that proves to be the key to closing the rifts around a doomed Thedas. Among their companions are Sonia Armstrong, the former Right Hand of the Divine; a returning B.J. - Drakengard 3: Mitsuru Kirijo and her dragon Libra go on a quest to kill her sisters Kyoko Sakura, Sakura Haruno, Rachel Alucard, Cerebella and Nurse Joy while starting a harem with Dio, Rowen J. Ilbert, Andrei Ulmeyda and Luke Von Fabre.
- Dragon's Dogma: Fenris slew a dragon long ago and became the immortal silent god of the world of Gransys. You can stab him through the chest and either take his place or stab yourself too and break the cycle of eternity.
- Dragon Quest VIII (3DS version): The Player Character accompanied by the bandit Baxter, the magician Triss Merigold (Eris in the PS2 version) and the priest Alvis are traveling with the cursed king Prince Philip and his daughter, the princess Sarah Farrell to find the evil jester Percy possessed by Saint Urbain.
- DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing: In this Mascot Racer, players can race as various DreamWorks Animation characters. The competitors include grouchy ogre Gopher, tomboyish ogress Black Cat, talkative donkey Spike Lee, napoleonic ruler Sarge, swashbuckling cat Diddy Kong, stealthy burglar Muerta, Grim Reaper wolf Bane, superstar lion Kyon, partying lemur king Mr. Fayce, panda warrior-in-training Talking Flower, Talking Flower's mentor Reptar, tigress Diana Burnwood, wise turtle Wan Shi Tong, vikings Johnny Test and Fawn, Bergens Rebecca Crane and King Sandy, talking babies Principal Pixiefrog and Medusa, a wolf criminalnote , the wolf criminal's partner Dee Dee Holloway, and supervillain Deadpool.

- Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard: GOB is a legendary videogame character who, after hitting a few rough points on the line, is being resurrected by Marathon Software, run by Steve the Monkey. But he soon learns that he was supposed to be killed off in favor of a new character, Chet Ubetcha, and is helped by a hacker named Ty Lee in order to get back at Marathon.
- Ed Edd N Eddy The Mis Ed Ventures: Rantaro Kiyama, Party Favor, and Miguel Aiman attempt to scam the kids in their neighborhood, including Wheezie, Whiplash, Kagura, Doc, and Mizuho Asano, through various means. They also end up having an encounter with their Abhorrent Admirers Pinkie Pie, Ms. Twombly, and Parasoul.
- ESPN's NFL2K series has Launchpad McQuack calling play-by-play.
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim: Starts off with Colonel Tigh and Commander Ivanova about to cut off your head, until Galvatron crashes the execution and razes the village to the ground. You learn of your destiny as the Dragonborn from Jarl Deckard Cain and the narrator from Madeline, to prevent Galvatron from destroying the world. The wise old dragon Mario offers sage advice to this end, though Col. Margaret Rayne and the Three-Eyed Raven would rather see Mario killed. On top of this, the eponymous country is undergoing a civil war, between Tigh's Imperial forces and the insurgency led by The Beast, in which you can pick a side to join.
- The Dawnguard DLC gives you the option to ally yourself with either Eulogy Jones' vampire hunters or Koala Wallah's vampire clan. Whoever you join, though, you get caught up in an ancient prophecy involving the long-dormant Cloud of Darkness, which she herself wishes to prevent.
- In the Dragonborn DLC, you set sail for the island of Solstheim after being targeted by a cult that has gathered around the Vision, who proclaims himself to be the true Dragonborn. You join forces with Avril, the daughter of a shaman of the native Skald, to save the island from Vision's machinations. To this end, you learn of the Black Books, to which grand wizard 'Howling Mad' Murdock takes a particular interest.
- Elsword: Hot-headed and brash knight Shisui Uchiha is on a journey from Ruben to search for the missing El shards in order to defend the continent from demons with the help of his trusty sword. Together these individuals formed the El Search Party and have many (mis)adventures throughout the Elrios continent.
- Enslaved: Odyssey to the West: In a post-apocalyptic world on the run from deadly machines, Gollum is placed with a Restraining Bolt given to him by Moze, who sends him on a mission to bring her home and fighting off robots along the way.
- Epic Mickey: After an animator accidentally brings Megatron to life and unleashes it on Count Dooku's world, he must now correct his mistake with the help of Hades and his predecessor Nibbler. Arlene is Nibbler's girlfriend, Fuzzy Lumpkins is a Jerkass, Kakashi Hatake is a Mad Scientist, Hugo Strange is a robotized pirate, Hi Five Ghost used to work for Strange, and there are animatronic versions of the animator's friends Sam and Dot Warner.
- Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two: The animator and Nibbler (now with actual dialogue) team up to face off against Kakashi (now Ultron)...now with musical numbers. Fuzzy Lumpkins has his own devious plans...but we don't know what since there is no third game.

- Eternal Sonata: Kurobi, dying of tuberculosis, has a dream in which he meets sweet-natured Ill Girl May Kanker, sweet young guardian Maetel, pragmatic thief Minoru Shiraishi and his little photographer buddy Wendy Testaburger, goatherding archer Nurse Joy, Maetel's hotheaded twin sister Oshawott, rebel group leader Albert Wesker and his lieutenant Yui Narumi and girlfriend Temari. Temari is eventually killed by an ace pilot, but you can bring her back. The group has to kill Ichigo, Luther, and Jelly Jiggler before it's all over. And then they have to defeat Kurobi himself!

- Fallout: New Vegas: After being shot in the head by Chandler, Yosuke Hanamura/Amane Kuzuryu must track down the package they were supposed to deliver to Azmuth. They can travel with the likes of Chuck, Penny or Machete along the way.
- Fallout New Vegas: Old World Blues: Liquid Snake defects from his fellow Brain in a Jar scientists Jack Krauser, Dr. Venture, Evelyn Klein, and Octane due to disillusionment with their Mad Scientist experiments, reprograms their personality chips to make them lose their sense of history, time, and the outside world, and erects a radar fence around the Big MT facility to prevent them from escaping into and experimenting on the Mojave. The latter four scientists steal the Courier's brain, heart, and spine, and manipulate him/her into gathering three pieces of Lost Technology to aid in bringing down Liquid's countermeasures.
- Fallout 4: Wreck-It Ralph and Ada Wong are a married couple that are put in stasis during a nuclear apocalypse. After one of them is killed (your choice on who, but it's usually Ada) and their son is kidnapped, the sole survivor has to survive the Wasteland and have to deal with several warring factions, which are led by their son Brandelis, Aela the Huntress, and Billy Riggins. Their companions include a big green Son Goku, a robotic Garrett, Fiery Redhead Dr. Suvi Anwar, and a now grown-up Yusuke Kitagawa.
- Final Fantasy IV (Nintendo DS version): Simon is a brave knight who goes on a journey with his friend/rival Kenzou Tenma. His love interest is Kallen Kozuki. Gathering allies such as The Flash (prince of the ninjas), twins Bunny and Melissa, Donatello the bard, Shiki the warrior monk, and the old mechanic Bob, they set out to stop Zangief (Simon's brother, who, as it turns out, is being mind-controlled by Rolf Emerson) and his evil subordinates Kazuma Sohma, Captain Jurgens, Miyuki Takara and Drake Anderson from stealing the crystals that uphold the world's stability.
- Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions: Kit Fisto is a young squire thrust into a world-changing conflict with demons and evil powers. His best friend, Luxord, gets sucked into the conflict as well. Charmcaster is a fake princess and Yuna is a powerful knight.
- Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core: Loki is a young mercenary with dreams of becoming a hero. Under the guidance of his mentor Victor Delacroix, he undertakes various missions, and even gets to meet the famous top-ranked SOLDIER, Dr. Curtis Ryerson. He later develops a blossoming romance with Julie Mayer, a flower girl living in the slums. Ultimately, however, revelations about the origins of Victor, Dr. Ryerson, and other high-ranking mercenaries within the organisation throw his whole world into disarray. Loki is eventually gunned down, leaving his legacy with a young man named Chris Fuller.
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 1: Mike Montgomery is an eco-terrorist along with Nathan Seymour and Justine Biagi when one day he meets the flower girl Jessica Townsend, and they must fight Superman as well. Logix "Logy" Ficsario joins Mike's team.
- Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade: Sumi Sakurasawa and Kazuya Kinoshita are Wutai agents infiltrating Shinra.
- Final Fantasy X: Green Arrow was a star blitzball player who, after meeting with Crab Colson, is thrown into a new world. Once there, he briefly meets with Princess Ilana, then ends up going on a journey with Agrias Oaks and her guardians: black mage Ohka, skilled athlete Bender, giant furry Rath, and Crab. Along the way, Green Arrow recounts his antagonistic relationship with his father, Captain Blue, and the group is hounded by the original Chief.
- Final Fantasy X-2: Two years later, Green Arrow's girlfriend Brigitte Stark, Ilana, and Xiao-Mei search for Green Arrow.
- Final Fantasy XII: Celty enlists the help of Marluxia, Poseidon, Padme, and a few others to help reclaim her kingdom.

Lucina and Chase are antagonized by Vayne Aurelius, who wanted to destroy time itself to free Princess Éclair from her curse of death and rebirth. Vayne eventually succeeds, causing a Time Crash.
- Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII: Liara returns from her centuries-old slumber, tasked to save souls now that the end of the world is near. Phineas assists her, but is reverted to a 14-year-old boy. Along the way, Liara encounters and fights Yuri, Chase, and Vayne; joins Pamela and her bandit gang; helps Mudflap awake his son from his coma; and is both aided and hindered by a mysterious girl, Leanne. The Final Boss is Primarch Adrien Victus, the God of Light who tasked Liara in the first place and hijacked Phineas's body as well.
- Final Fantasy XV: Yuu Otosaka is the Warrior Prince of the kingdom of Lucis, which is being invaded by its neighboring countries. He goes on a road trip with his buddies Brennan Jones, Kurasame Susaya, and Junkrat.
- Final Fantasy Type-0: Chase Jennings, Zidane Tribal, Chrom, Kotori Minami, Elisif the Fair, Yonah, Willie Wumpa Cheeks, Jeff Fischer, and Jonathan — among others — are students raised by Sorey to go on a war against a military empire led by Vilgax.
- Finding Nemo: When his son Bambi is kidnapped, Wakko Warner the clownfish teams up with a regal blue tang named Numbuh 86 to get him back. Bambi meets up with Norman Osborn and his gang, consisting of Dim the pufferfish, Greta the starfish, Red the shrimp, Max the purple gramma, Milton Waddams the yellow tang, and Wonder Woman the striped humbug damselfish, while Wakko and Numbuh 86 encounter a great white shark named Cedric and a sea turtle named Zurg.
- Fiona Frightening and the Wicked Wardrobe: Tired of always losing, Caine curses the Halloween Town of Wickedopolis and turns it's residents into vicious monsters, and it's up to a young girl to save the. Other residents include Jotaro Kujo, Lady Tethys, Torque, Gundham Tanaka, Fat Grandma, Alucard, Bulma, and Professor Hojo.
- Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise: After being left for dead by his former friend Adam and his girlfriend Tifa Lockheart kidnapped by him, Mamoru Chiba travels the post-apocalyptic world in search for her. After defeating Adam, he, accompanied with Monokuma and Sachi, he finds a city called Eden where he's helped by Reika Rikudo, his older brother Dorcas, his rival turned friend Boey while fighting his enemies Leonard, Divo and Mondo Zappa.
- Freddi Fish: Penelope Mouse is a kid detective who solves mysteries under the sea with help from her best friend Slippy Toad.
- Freddi Fish 3: The Case of the Stolen Conch Shell: Slippy's uncle Professor Quack is falsely accused of stealing an important ceremonial conch shell, so Penelope and Slippy must track the shell down in order to clear his name. The suspects include Lenny, Zippy the Magician, Byte, MC Ballyhoo, Mildred the Mailtruck, and Red McCullough.
- Freddi Fish 4: The Case of the Hogfish Rustlers of Briny Gulch: The hogfish owned by Penelope's cousin Kate are stolen by G-Man and Rabbid Mario, so Penelope and Slippy must find a way to break into their hideout in order to free them. The two rustlers are working with a secret accomplice, who can potentially turn out to be Voodoo Vince, Fatty Bear, the returning MC Ballyhoo, or the local blacksmithnote .
- Freddi Fish 5: The Case of the Creature of Coral Cove: A sea monster (who turns out to be Wolf O'Donnell) is terrorizing the citizens of Coral Cove and preventing the opening of Soldier's new park, so Penelope and Slippy must figure out what's going on.
- Friday the 13th: The Game: Camp counselors Prompto Argentum, Goro Akechi, Michiru Kagemori , Joseph Joestar, Jakob, Effie and Shantae —among others— are pursued by a masked killer and have to worked together in order to survive.

- Gears of War: Tiny Tiger, Leonardo Da Vinci, Banks, and Saren are four elite soldiers who, with the help of others like Dan Smith, Tohru Honda, and Travis Touchdown, work to defeat the Locust empire led by Captain Rex and controlled by Dr. Chakwas.
- Ghost of Tsushima: Crown Prince Akihito is a samurai from 13th century Japan who must embrace unconventional tactics to put an end to the Mongol occupation of Tsushima.
- God of War: Kyle Barker is recruited by the Gods of the Classical Mythology to defeat Zabuza as he lays siege on Athens to spite Amanda Carter.
- God of War II: Kyle Barker's conquest of Ancient Greece is cut short by Hugo Strange, who kills him. But with the help of Grandmother Willow, he is brought back to life and now seeks ultimate vengeance against Strange by seeking an audience with the time-controlling Sisters of Fate: Jean Grey, Meryl Silverburgh and Dr. Karbunkle, so that he may travel back in time. On his path to the Sisters, Kyle treats Damon Baird to some Eye Scream, mercy kills Ira Rosenthal from a Fate Worse than Death, bashes Max Tennyson's head with a door, splatters the head of one of the Seven Dwarfs with his own hammer, impales Michael Kuzak with a hook, rips off Frostbite's wings, is nearly crushed to death by Kilowag and accidentally kills his second-in-command, Jack Darby.
- God of War III: Having traveled back in time, Kyle executes his ultimate vengeance against Strange and his pantheon. During the course of his rampage, he gouges Orochi's eyes out, cuts the Disciple's legs off, rips Mr. Freeze's soul from his body, tears Electro's head off with his bare hands and uses it as a lantern, and punches Dylan Hunt's face to a bloody pulp. Also, Grandmother Willow, who has become Wanda, betrays Kyle. Terra Branford is the key to ending the conflict and is found in a labyrinth that also contains President Eden. Kyle can also have sex with Selvaria if he so chooses.
- God of War (2018): After taking out everyone in the Classical Mythology pantheon, Kyle (now with the voice of Teal'c) tries to mend his relationship with his son Bob Murphy as they travel to the highest peak of Norse regions to scatter Teal'c's wife's ashes, as per her wish. When they take off, they encounter Daniel Faraday of Norse Mythology who picks up a fight with Teal'c and Bob. As a result, they accept help from Amanda, Senator Armstrong and the brothers Officer Skarsgard and Agent Walker as they navigate the treacherous realms of the Norse world. They have a scuffle between Martin Walker and Joel during the route. Hugo Strange appears as The Cameo during Teal'c's quest to gain his original weapons back as Amanda Carter berates that Teal'c is attempting his redemption in vain.
- Grand Theft Auto III: The voiceless protagonist wants revenge after being betrayed by his girlfriend Oracle. To find her, the protagonist works for the Mafia led by Don Phil Leotardo, with other members including Cypher, Mr. Blonde, and Dave Gold. Later on, the protagonist works for others such as Mr. Freddie MacMillan and Agent Dale Cooper.
- Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas: A rapper returns to his hometown and runs afoul of officers Nick Fury and Nice Guy Eddie. Before he can take revenge, he ruins the rap career of Odafin Tutuola, buys out Tobias Funke's hobby shop, and undertakes a series of dangerous missions for Lester Diamond. On the radio, Wesley Crusher is a news reporter and Matthew Brock hosts a gardening show. Dr. Nitwhite provides additional voices.
- Grand Theft Auto: Vice City: Henry Hill teams up with Ricardo Tubbs to take over Pachanga's drug empire. Helping them are The Accountant and The Bandit. Meanwhile, Hill takes on a few missions for Machete, Dr. Owen Hunt, and Steve Austin.

- Guardians of the Galaxy (2021): A Ragtag Bunch of Misfits consisting of optimistic leader Phil, cynical demolitions expert Yokel, badass former assassin Lady Vic, widower bruiser Batman, and plant alien Diovicos must save the Galaxy from an evil space cult run by Col. Sanders. They receive help from Teresa alongside, if you make the right choices, Yelena Fedrova and Marquis de Sade.
- Gun: Set in the old West, Carter Blake and his father John Norman Howard are among those on a steamboat right when it gets attacked by an army led by Chucky. Several people, including Howard, get killed. Now it's up to Carter to get his revenge on Chucky, who's working for the greedy Frank Black. Along the way, Carter runs into The Beast, who's in league with Frank, and intends to kill Carter. Carter also makes several allies including Viper, Kakashi Hatake, Uncas, and Li'l Sneezer.

- Halo: Gunnar and his AI partner Princess Peach are asked by Griffin and Leon Powalski to kill hordes of aliens, many of whom sound like Squilliam Fancyson. Later, Gunnar battles and then allies with Goliath to defeat the wicked dictator Big Louie.
- A Hat in Time: Rio finds herself traversing a planet when the fuel for her ship gets scattered around. Along the way she meets a few people such as DJ Carlos, director Akira, contractor Yungtown, villager Allenby, and the mischievous Tethys, who seeks to gain all of Rio's time pieces for herself.
- Haven (2020): Lovebirds Amy and Alphonse, fleeing an oppressive interstellar empire that forces its citizens into arranged marriages, land on the deserted Shattered World of Source, where an earthquake disables their ship. While scavenging for spare parts, they activate a relay antenna and unwittingly draw the attention of Amy's chosen mate Banquo, who sends a platoon of Mecha-Mooks with the voice of Selene to recapture them. Seeking further information on the history of the ruined world, the couple contact Diana Burnwood, Amy's mom and the Corrupt Corporate Executive of the company behind the failed colonization of the planet, who urges her to return home.
- Hitman: General Crab is the world's deadliest assassin.
- Hulk: Nero, who turns into the game's composer when he's angry, must rescue his girlfriend, a foreign newscaster, from the clutches of Martian King Mambo, his evil counterpart Morozumi, and Ape. He also has an encounter with Snips and vampire Bling-Bling Boy, who attempt to stop Nero from rescuing the newscaster. Mr. Greenrind is an alternate counterpart of the composer, and Morozumi disguises himself as D-Structs in order to trick Nero.
- Hyperdimension Neptunia: Rika Nonaka, Mitsuru Kirijo, Kodachi Kuno, and Haruhi Suzumiya are console goddesses out to save their respective nations from Nurse Valentine, the personification of software piracy. Hinata Hyuga, Nanoha Takamachi and Saber help young Rika at the beginning of her journey. Kyubey, Yoko Littner, and Rachel Alucard also help Rika as DLC characters.

- Megadimension Neptunia VII: As rumours start spreading about Rika and the other CPUs, Rika and Azusa are transported to an apocalyptic dimension thanks to playing around with an old game console and with the help of Eli Ayase, Christo and an older Rika Nonaka, they need to work together to stop Makoto Kino, Mizuki Okiura, Painwheel, Nezuko Kamado, and the AU Nurse Valentine, who is taking orders from the real evil Eli from whom their Eli is a copy of and Rika's predecessor of ruling her nation.

- The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction: Wyatt Cain, who turns into Dingodile when he's angry, turns to Mister Sinister to help cure him when another personality within him, Two-Face, starts trying to take control. However, Hellboy and his aide, Wonder Woman, await him. Cecil is a more talkative version of Dingodile.
- The Incredibles: Retired superheroes Victor Sullivan and Buttercup must come out of retirement to battle Brodie Bruce. Victor's best friend Jules Winnfield provides the tutorial, while Victor and Buttercup's children Jim Possible and a waitress join them on their mission.
- The Incredibles: Rise of the Underminer: Picking up where the last game left off, Victor and Jules team up to take down the wicked Construction Foreman Tom.
- Indivisible: When Ban burns down Lady Shiva's village and kills her father, she sets out on a quest for revenge against Ban's boss...but due to a special ability of the people of Shiva's village, Ban (and several others) get trapped inside Shiva's head until she needs them to fight for her. Shiva's other incarnations include curmudgeonly shaman Tharja, excitable herbalist Taiga Aisaka, tribal archer Jotaro Kujo, high-flying roc trainer Sachi, water magic-using deva Mara, Pirate Girl Ava Turing, Green Thumb healer Filia; Twiga, a Robin Hood-like thief with a Power Fist, and Rodimus Prime, an armored hero with a magical serpentine motorcycle.
- Interstate '76: A NASA Tech turns vigilante after his sister Lori is killed by Discord. Grim is his mentor while HIM fixes the cars they use.

- Jak and Daxter: A mute hero and his Weasel Mascot Vinnie Delpino go to save the world at the behest of Eddie Dorrance. The hero has a thing for Palmon. The Big Bad is the lead singer of Twisted Sister.
- Jak II: Renegade: The mute hero gains the voice of Colin Hart. He is flung into the future with Vinnie - Eddie and Palmon soon follow. He gains a new ally in Wonder Woman. Among the guys he has to stop are Savage Opress and Roy The Triangle Boy.
- Jak 3: Wastelander: Colin and Vinnie are exiled by Moon Knight to a desert wasteland ruled by Blitzwing, who turns out to be Colin's father. Fortunately, they get back in time to stop Moon Knight, who's allied with Scruffy the Janitor to take over the world.
- Judgment: After being disgraced in the legal world when his defendant Yosuke Hanamura who was found not guilty or killing a patient at the hospital he worked at, was then accused of murdering his girlfriend, Ike becomes a private detective with his best friend, former Yakuza Alucard. Despite his disgraced status, he still occasionally does freelance work for his former law firm run by Col. Michael Holden, with Fiore Brunelli and Claude von Riegan as its junior attorneys. Exploring the seedy underbelly of Kamurocho, Ike finds several Yakuza murdered with their eyes removed, which leads him to defend Yakuza Captain Soldier:76, who happens to work for Ike and Alucard's mentor Wonder Yellow but has his own motivations. Along the way they are helped and hindered by Tokyo Police and prosecution, including detective Kiritsugu Emiya who happens to be the serial killer they were looking for, Dirty Cop and Knowledge Broker Liu Kang, prosecutor and old fling of Ike's Lucy, and chief prosecutor Sojiro Sakura, while masked hacker Seth lurks in the shadows with his own agenda, and Alucard's Yakuza beother Spike Spiegel becomes conflicted on who to be loyal to.
- Justice League Heroes: Alucard, Slade, Ada Wong, Spawn, Nick Diamond, Megatron, and Fuu are a team of superheroes, who sometimes enlist help from Doctor Strange, Hera Syndulla, Mojo, Penny, Iron Fist, Kylie Griffin, and Bastila Shan. This team must deal with the Vision when he tries to gain power from a meteorite and had employed Julia Silverstein, Rocko, and Sticks the Badger, as well as released Tobi and cloned Animus, to help him. Michael Morbius is the king of the nation holding Tobi and Sticks's action have freed alien warlord Kyohei Kadota. Sadly for all involved, the power the Vision wants is really Sealed God of Evil RoboCop.

- Kid Icarus: Uprising: 25 years after defeating Blackarachnia and rescuing Lightning from captivity, Reptil prepares himself for a second assault from Blackarachnia's minions (which include three-headed dragon Hector, ghostly trickster goddess Chum Chum, and Dinosaur Neil, the God of Death) in a new battle to determine the fate of Skyworld. After Blackarachnia is killed, he has to fight her real leader, Galenth Dysley, and nature goddess Blackfire (and her lightning-wielding underling Ashe). He's aided at times by the Hulk (a champion among the humans), the sun god Two-Face, and Jeff Tobey, his dark counterpart.
- Kings Quest (2015): Doc Brown tells his young granddaughter a series of tales about how he, as a young Spider-Man, rose to prominence to eventually become the king of Daventry.
- Kingdom Hearts: Cole Sears, Claire Bennet, and Simon Camden are friends who get separated. Cole meets up with Angel and Julie Quinn, as well as one of Ratigan's henchmen and Sylvester, in order to save the world from Cal Hockley. Lance Bass is the One-Winged Angel, while Special Agent Oso features as a mythical Greek hero.
- Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories: Cole enters a mysterious castle in which Tuxedo Mask, Gabriella Moreno, Weiss, Raiden and Keitaro Urashima screw with his memories and make him believe that he grew up with Tess Taylor. Meanwhile, Simon enters the same castle and tries to stop Cal (now Zangetsu) from taking over his mind.
- Kingdom Hearts II: As above, only Angel has turned into Asuma, Lance became Superman, and Hercules managed to revert into himself. The prologue makes you play as Robin in order to fight Raiden.
- Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days: During Robin's time with an organization led by the Nine Tailed Fox, he makes friends with Raiden and Isabella Garcia-Shapiro, who turns out to be an Opposite-Sex Clone of Cole.
- Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep: Logan Echolls, Agnes Andrews, and Terence, three Keyblade wielders in training under Luke Skywalker, battle the manipulative Spock and his apprentice, the mysterious Takashi Jin. Spock later possesses Logan's body, turning him into Zangetsu's original self, Joseph Joestar.
- Kingdom Hearts 3D [Dream Drop Distance]: Cole and Simon are tasked with the mission of reawakening a dream realm where they are stalked by Spock's younger self, Nigel Uno. Meanwhile, the Onion Knight theorizes about the nature of the game's setting, and Raiden becomes a Keyblade wielder.
- Kingdom Hearts χ: Set just before the great Keyblade War, you play as a new Keyblade wielder and work with Corey and Lisa Loud (there's more than one Lisa, but they all refer to each other as Lisa) in investigating the fate of the world. Meanwhile, Yuu Otosaka manipulates Chrom, Roy Mustang, Dora Marquez, Xander, and Becky to kickstart the Keyblade War, and has Ryuji Sakamoto oversee it all with Spock's future Keyblade. Oh, and it all ends with you reincarnating into a cloaked figure who raised Spock himself.
- Kingdom Hearts Dark Road: During Spock and Luke's younger years as Keyblade apprentices Nigel and Peter Parker, respectively, they team up with four of their classmates in investigating the disappearance of their upperclassmen, ultimately culminating in Nigel's Start of Darkness.
- Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-: Simon and Claire (now Caitlyn Gellar) learn what happened to Agnes while she was stuck in the realm of darkness.
- Kingdom Hearts III: Cole must learn to acquire the power of waking to rescue his missing friends and battle Spock, who has become Roy Batty, while Simon investigates Agnes's whereabouts and Caitlyn trains with Raiden. In the final battle, Roy kills Caitlyn get Cole to fight him, and Cole manages to win thanks to the power of friendship. Afterwards, it turns out Ryuji has been masquerading as Valentin Cassadine and kissing up to Roy just to get his Keyblade and summon his old friends (except Dora).
- Kingdom Hearts III Re Mind: In order to save Caitlyn, Cole learns from Terence's Lisa that he has to time-travel back to before Roy (who has changed again into Judge Doom) killed Caitlyn. After saving her from a clone of Doom, Cole ends up in Shibuya and is forced to fight Zack Martin.
