- Disney's and GKID's Studio Ghibli dubs are probably the best example of this, in that they cast well known Hollywood actors to do the voices, most likely to increase a film's marquee value:
- Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind has Shia LaBeouf, Uma Thurman, Patrick Stewart
- Castle in the Sky has Mark Hamill, Anna Paquin, James Van Der Beek and Cloris Leachman (who also appears in Ponyo).
- My Neighbor Totoro has sisters Dakota and Elle Fanning as the main sisters with their mom voiced by Lea Salonga.

- Spirited Away has Jason Marsden, Suzanne Pleshette, Susan Egan (who was also in Porco Rosso), David Ogden Stiers (who has also appeared in several Ghibli films prior) and even Pixar's good luck charm, John Ratzenberger.
- The Cat Returns has Anne Hathaway, Tim Curry and Cary Elwes reprising his role as The Baron from Whisper of the Heart.
- Like Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle also has plenty of noteworthy names with Christian Bale as the titular character alongside Jean Simmons, Emily Mortimer, Josh Hutcherson, Billy Crystal and Lauren Bacall. Oh and Crispin Freeman also appears near the end too.
- Tales from Earthsea has Timothy Dalton and Willem Dafoe
- Another pretty large one with Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea as it has the likes of Tina Fey, Matt Damon, Liam Neeson, Cate Blanchett and Betty White with the titular character voiced by Noah Cyrus.
- Yet another large one with Arrietty as it has Bridgit Mendler, Will Arnett, Amy Poehler and Carol Burnett.
- The British dub by StudioCanal also deserves a mention as it has Saoirse Ronan, Olivia Colman, Mark Strong and Tom Holland (which could also act as a Retroactive Recognition for him).

- Saki, where majority of the Japanese voice actors are well-known and are in a "higher tier" in terms of popularity and skill. Famous seiyuu in Saki include: Rie Kugimiya, Shizuka Itō, Jun Fukuyama, Kana Ueda, Ami Koshimizu, Yui Horie, Minori Chihara, Daisuke Ono, Mai Nakahara, Natsuko Kuwatani, Ryōko Shiraishi, Yuu Kobayashi, and Ryōko Shintani.
- The spinoff Saki Achigahen continues the trend with Aoi Yūki, Kana Hanazawa, MAKO, Nao Tōyama, Satomi Arai, and the entirety of StylipS.
- Queen's Blade, where every female character is voiced by someone famous, eg. Rie Kugimiya, Mamiko Noto, Aya Hirano... Someone at the Anime News Network forum even described it as "its like having all the A-list Hollywood Actress starring in a porn film".
- Pani Poni Dash! has both dubs as this. The Japanese version has the whole class of 1-C as this already, even Sayaka Suzuki's vocie actress, who's next successful role wouldn't be until the infamous Yosuga no Sora anime. While the dub version for class 1-C had notable VA's such as Hilary Haag and Monica Rial, it did have 3 notable breakthrough debuts for Melissa Davis, Brittney Karbowski and Maggie Flecknoe.
- Dog Days has Norio Wakamoto, Nana Mizuki, Yōko Hikasa, Yui Horie, Tetsuya Kakihara, Kana Hanazawa and more.

- K: One of the few things known in advance despite the mystery during the promotional stage was that the voices would be done by a lot of notable voice actors. Daisuke Namikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro, Mamoru Miyano, Tomokazu Sugita, Takahiro Sakurai, Jun Fukuyama, Yui Horie, Yūki Kaji, Tetsuya Kakihara, to name a few.
- For the English Dub; Sam Riegel, Matthew Mercer, Stephanie Sheh, Keith Silverstein, Patrick Seitz, Ben Diskin, Todd Haberkorn, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, Tara Platt, Johnny Yong Bosch, Carrie Savage and Grant George among others. Of course, the dub was done by Studiopolis, who is known for this trope.
- The English dub of Attack on Titan features many of Funimation's staple voice acting talent, including Trina Nishimura, Jessie James Grelle, Robert McCollum, J. Michael Tatum, Jason Liebrecht and many others. There were also voice actors from California who aren't regular members of Funimation: Bryce Papenbrook as Eren Jaegar, and Matthew Mercer as Levi and Lauren Landa as Annie.
- Eventually, when the third and fourth seasons rolled along, they also managed to cast several more actors from California with some whom you wouldn't expect seeing in a Funimation dub such as Ray Chase, Erika Harlacher, Robbie Daymond, Griffin Burns, Billy Kametz and even the likes of Neil Kaplan and Mick Wingert.
- Kamisama Kiss features the voice talents of Jun'ichi Suwabe, Hiroki Takahashi, Akira Ishida, Hyo-sei, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yui Horie, Satomi Sato and more.

- Space Battleship Yamato 2199: A legendary cast to remake a legendary series: Daisuke Ono, Houko Kuwashima, Kenichi Suzumura, Akio Ōtsuka, Aya Hisakawa, Keiji Fujiwara, Kikuko Inoue, Kōichi Yamadera, Rie Tanaka, Joji Nakata, Shigeru Chiba and the list goes on. Some of them have at least 15 years of experience with famous anime series under their belts.
- The English dub of the two-season anime adaptation of ef - a fairy tale of the two. is full of well-known veterans — even Sentai Filmworks declares so in its marketing materials. We have Greg Ayres, Luci Christian, Chris Patton, Brittney Karbowski, Monica Rial, Hilary Haag, Illich Guardiola, and David Matranga.
- Monthly Girls' Nozaki-kun: The main cast of the show contains the voices of Yūichi Nakamura, Nobuhiko Okamoto, Yuki Ono, Miyuki Sawashiro, Ryōhei Kimura and Mai Nakahara (who is also Playing Against Type here). The supporting cast contains Mamoru Miyano, Daisuke Ono, Ayako Kawasumi and Kenta Miyake.
- The anime version of Bungou Stray Dogs includes Yoshimasa Hosoya, Mamoru Miyano, Hiroshi Kamiya, Rikiya Koyama, Kensho Ono...and that's just part of the main cast.
- The English dub isn't different either (as this too is a Studiopolis dub) where it has the likes of Max Mittelman, Kaiji Tang, Patrick Seitz, Brian Beacock, Spike Spencer, Erica Lindbeck, Cherami Leigh, Keith Silverstein, Cristina Valenzuela, Todd Haberkorn, just to name a few.
- Sort of in the Viz Media dub of Sailor Moon, which was also recorded by Studiopolis. Most of the cast are already established voice actors and actresses in L.A., such as Stephanie Sheh, Michelle Ruff, Kate Higgins, Todd Haberkorn, Tara Platt, Cristina Valenzuela, Liam O'Brien, Patrick Seitz, Johnny Yong Bosch, Sandy Fox, Matthew Mercer, Keith Silverstein, Erica Mendez, Lauren Landa and Christine Marie Cabanos; as well as Cherami Leigh, Veronica Taylor, and Debi Derryberry. The term "star-studded dub" is probably more appropriate, as it also features voice actors who were new at the time of its releases like Robbie Daymond, Nicolas Roye and Amanda Céline Miller.
- Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a curious case where the cast indeed is filled with a huge cast of stars in its Japanese original format. The side-characters, villains and even minor one-note characters who are voiced by industry veterans (some dating back from even classic roles from the eighties). The English and other languages like Latin-American Spanish and Italian have their own stars too, but the Japanese version just outweighs them due the sheer number of singular big names it has, and the fact every single character has their own unique voice actor, the different dubs has its fair share of one artist voicing more than one character.
- The main cast has Natsuki Hanae, Hiro Shimono and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, all of whom are already well established voice actors. The only exception to this is Akari Kitou, who had her Star-Making Role as Nezuko.
- The Hashira consists of Takahiro Sakurai, Satoshi Hino, Tomokazu Sugita, Katsuyuki Konishi, Saori Hayami, Kana Hanazawa, Kenichi Suzumura, Kengo Kawanishi and Tomokazu Seki

- While the English dub may not be as star studded as the original (since it has voices like Abby Trott and Aleks Le whom are either new or lesser known when the dub came out), it still has several well known voices like Bryce Papenbrook, Johnny Yong Bosch, Matthew Mercer, Erik Kimerer, Kira Buckland, Max Mittelman, Erika Harlacher, Kaiji Tang, Brianna Knickerbocker, Robbie Daymond, Laura Post, Erica Lindbeck and Lucien Dodge just to name a few. The dub also has Zach Aguilar whom already had an established role as Genos from One-Punch Man, but his popularity increased after landing the lead role of Tanjiro. But the most interesting about the dub is that it had voices whom haven't been voicing in anime dubs for a while (due to being Union-only) such as Crispin Freeman, Bridget Hoffman and even Steve Blum.
- Osomatsu-san: The sextuplets were all voiced by Takahiro Sakurai, Yūichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino, in addition to Kenichi Suzumura and Aya Endo.
- Date A Live: The cast includes Nobunaga Shimazaki, Marina Inoue, Ayana Taketatsu, Misuzu Togashi, Iori Nomizu, Asami Sanada, Aya Endo, Takehito Koyasu, Ryōtarō Okiayu, Shizuka Itō, Maaya Uchida, Sarah Emi Bridcutt and Minori Chihara. The Movie brought in Sora Amamiya. Talent was not wasted here.

- Juni Taisen: Zodiac War has its cast consisted of Yōko Hikasa, Hikaru Midorikawa, Saori Hayami, Ayane Sakura, Kosuke Toriumi, Chō, Hiromi Igarashi, Nobuhiko Okamoto and Hiroki Yasumoto, among others.
- Funimation's voice cast is no slouch either, with heavy go-getters like Stephanie Young, Caitlin Glass, Ian Sinclair, Jerry Jewell, Chuck Huber, Clifford Chapin, Monica Rial and Colleen Clinkenbeard, among others. All of whom are being voice directed under the one and only Vic Mignogna.
- The Asterisk War: The anime features Atsushi Tamaru, Ai Kakuma, Nao Tōyama, Ari Ozawa, Mai Nakahara, Hikaru Midorikawa, Takanori Hoshino, Takahiro Sakurai, Tomokazu Sugita, Yumi Uchiyama and Wataru Hatano.

Plus, a voice actor from Sentai Filmworks, Chris Patton.
- Hand Shakers: One of the show's few saving graces is its impressive cast of actors that actually deliver sympathetic and emotional performances despite the quality of the overall product. We've got Soma Saito as the protagonist, Sora Amamiya as his sister and Shintarō Asanuma and Satomi Sato as his parents. Other supporting players include Ai Kayano, Showtaro Morikubo, Ayumu Murase, Mikako Komatsu, Tomokazu Sugita, Jun Fukuyama, Yōko Hikasa and Ai Kakuma, among others.
- Legend of the Galactic Heroes: Given that the series has tons of characters, the OVA series has at least every single major and minor role voiced by famous Japanese voice actors, which include Ryō Horikawa, Masashi Hironaka, Shigeru Chiba, Kazuhiko Inoue, Kaneto Shiozawa, Akio Ōtsuka, Akira Kamiya, Rikiya Koyama, Masako Katsuki, Hidekatsu Shibata, Fumihiko Tachiki, Daisuke Gōri, Kei Tomiyama, Ryōtarō Okiayu, Shōzō Iizuka, Takashi Nagasako, Takeshi Kusao, Chikao Ohtsuka, Bin Shimada, Hideyuki Tanaka, Joji Nakata, Takeshi Aono, Keiko Han, Kappei Yamaguchi, Kazuki Yao, Kiyoyuki Yanada, Kōichi Yamadera, Hirotaka Suzuoki, Ichirō Nagai, Kōzō Shioya, Masami Kikuchi, Michie Tomizawa, Hōchū Ōtsuka, Masami Kikuchi, Yoshiko Sakakibara, Tōru Furuya, Unshō Ishizuka, Kazuki Yao, Gorō Naya, Keiichi Noda, Kotono Mitsuishi, Nozomu Sasaki, Katsuji Mori, Toshio Furukawa, Norio Wakamoto, Sho Hayami, Ryūsei Nakao, Shūichi Ikeda and Yusaku Yara.
- In One Piece, nearly all of the cast are either well-known voice actors (Mayumi Tanaka, Kazuya Nakai, Akemi Okamura, Hiroaki Hirata, Kappei Yamaguchi, Ikue Otani, Yuriko Yamaguchi, Yuichi Nagashima, Kazuki Yao, and so forth) or well-known actors (Shun Oguri, Hikari Mitsushima, Naoto Takenaka, Kumiko Mori). For bonus points, even the voice actors for Goku, Ichigo, and Naruto have a role in the anime.
- The Funimation re-dub does the same with people like Colleen Clinkenbeard, Christopher Sabat, Luci Christian, Sonny Strait, Eric Vale, Brina Palencia, Stephanie Young, Patrick Seitz and Ian Sinclair, just in the Straw Hat Crew alone.
- Due to having been produced early on in the actors' careers, the Slam Dunk anime cast includes many of Japan's most prolific VA's, such as Takeshi Kusao, Hikaru Midorikawa, Toshiyuki Morikawa and Ryōtarō Okiayu, among others.
- Devils' Line has an extremely high-profile cast of famous seiyuu, including the voice talents of: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, Yui Ishikawa, Ryōhei Kimura, Yoshimasa Hosoya, Miyuki Sawashiro, Akira Ishida, Kenichi Ogata, Satoshi Hino, Kazuyuki Okitsu, Yumi Uchiyama, Hiro Shimono, Susumu Chiba, Daisuke Hirakawa, Takahiro Sakurai, Hiroshi Kamiya, Nao Tōyama, Shouta Aoi, Ryōta Ōsaka, Daiki Yamashita, Eiji Takemoto, Hibiku Yamamura, Azumi Asakura, Mamoru Miyano, Mayumi Asano, Kaito Ishikawa, Daisuke Ono, Umeka Shoji and Subaru Kimura. The Drama CD Devils Line Quadruple adds Yoshiko Sakakibara, Kana Hanazawa, Yuko Minaguchi and Rina Sato to the mix.
- The English dub of Dragonball Super went above and beyond this. In addition to featuring the numerous Funimation veterans from the company reprising their roles, some who'd been involved with the franchise for close to 20 years, including Sean Schemmel, Christopher Sabat, Eric Vale, Mike McFarland, Sonny Strait, Cynthia Cranz, Justin Cook, Chris Rager, Bradford Jackson, Kara Edwards, Kyle Hebert, and John Burgmeier, several other mainstays with the studio such as Colleen Clinkenbeard, Caitlin Glass, Jason Liebrecht, Greg Ayres, Monica Rial, Jason Douglas, Brina Palencia, Alexis Tipton, Patrick Seitz, Sarah Wiedenheft, Clifford Chapin, Elizabeth Maxwell and many others. There was also quite a few non-Texas based VAs, such as such as Matthew Mercer, Lauren Landa, and in her Funi debut Veronica Taylor, plus people not usually associated with anime such as James Marsters and Richard Steven Horvitz, and even Brian Drummond from the original Ocean Dub of Dragon Ball Z to play Vegeta's double for a brief arc.
- Blue Exorcist has many famous seiyu featured Nobuhiko Okamoto, Jun Fukuyama, Kazuya Nakai, Kana Hanazawa, Yūki Kaji, Eri Kitamura, Koji Yusa, Tsubasa Yonaga, Hiroshi Kamiya, Rina Sato, Keiji Fujiwara, Ryōtarō Okiayu, Daisuke Ono, Tetsuya Kakihara, Kazuhiro Yamaji, Katsuyuki Konishi, Kissho Taniyama, Hiroaki Hirata, Jun'ichi Suwabe, Mao Ichimichi and Ayumu Murase.

- Pop Team Epic has only two major characters, but are played by different seiyuu in each episode. Almost all their voices are pretty much well known including the likes of Aoi Yūki, Mikako Komatsu, Yōko Hikasa, Yuko Sanpei, Hiro Shimono, Showtaro Morikubo, Sumire Morohoshi, Masaya Onosaka, Soma Saito, Rikiya Koyama, Nana Mizuki, Show Hayami, Ayana Taketatsu, Shigeru Chiba, Sumire Uesaka, Satomi Sato, Yuu Kobayashi, Tomokazu Sugita, Kaori Nazuka, Yūki Kaji, Kosuke Toriumi, Daisuke Namikawa, Kaito Ishikawa, Mamiko Noto, Kotono Mitsuishi and Joji Nakata. And that's just in the first season (and it's not even all of them either).
- The English dub on the other hand, has pretty much every major Funimation voice out there. The first season alone has the likes of Christopher Sabat, Justin Briner, Trina Nishimura, Sonny Strait, Sarah Wiedenheft, Jad Saxton, Cherami Leigh, Eric Vale, Brittney Karbowski, Todd Haberkorn, Greg Ayres, Alexis Tipton, Justin Cook, Emily Neves, Micah Solusod, Ian Sinclair, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Brina Palencia, Mike McFarland, Jamie Marchi, Kent Williams, Caitlin Glass, David Wald, Monica Rial, J. Like the Japanese, this isn't all of them either.
- The English dub of My Hero Academia has a lot of Funimation's staple voices for several of it's major players. Due to the large nature of the cast, it's impossible to list them all.
- In Class-1A alone there's Luci Christian, J. Michael Tatum, David Matranga, Monica Rial, Justin Cook, Jessie James Grelle, Colleen Clinkenbeard, Ian Sinclair, Trina Nishimura, Brina Palencia, Caitlin Glass, Greg Ayres and Mike McFarland. And of course, the show itself had the Star Making Roles of voices like Justin Briner as Deku and Clifford Chapin as Bakugou.
- There's also Christopher Sabat as All Might and Patrick Seitz as Endeavor, amongst many others playing the Pro Heroes.
- In the side of the villains, there's also Eric Vale, Jason Liebrecht, Leah Clark and many others.
- In the movies and later seasons, similar to that of Attack On Titan above, they also managed to cast several non regulars with some talents that you won't really expect in a Funimation dub such as Cassandra Lee Morris, Ray Chase, Erica Mendez, Keith Silverstein, Johnny Yong Bosch, Lisa Ortiz, Ben Diskin, Tara Sands, Robbie Daymond, Cristina Valenzuela, D.C. Douglas and Erica Lindbeck.
