@ Avalanche Sharks

  • Jenna spends most of the film just hanging around the hot tub to provide Fanservice, then narrowly escapes being eaten by taking the protagonists seriously and getting out of the tub just before the sharks attack it. The final act could have expanded on her sense of grief at the loss of her friends and vulnerability in surviving in the cold weather with just a bikini and a Modesty Towel while also trying to avoid the sharks, but she only has about a minute more of screen time in the film.

hey I got some trope entries to check for spelling and grammar error

  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Ed is a sweet if rather dim Gentle Giant who always does his best to get along with everyone, including his ill-tempered sister Sarah. That said, Eddy’s brother is the one person Ed seems to actually hate after seeing him abuse Eddy and plays a direct role in defeating him.
  • Hypocrite: The Canadian prince and his wife are the worst offenders of hypocrisies on this show. They claim that they want to be left alone, yet they announce it in a ways that draws so much attention, to the point that it becomes impossible to ignore (read: setting off fireworks and blocking the street while yelling at people to leave you alone). When Kyle finally manages to ignoring them (against all odd), rather of being happy that they got what have been demanding, they ''complain about being victimized because they were ignored’'.
  • Ignored Epiphany: When Emma breaks up with Chase upon learning that he didn’t forfeit Episode 10’s challenge for Emma but to eat pizza, Chase briefly considers whether if it would have been better if he told the truth before casually shrugging this dilemma aside.

@Arivne: One of these days, I gotta re-check after Quillbot says this is OK (any other alternatives than Quillbot? Seems pretty flawed). So anyway...

^ "He dove to save" isn't correct English. How and where did he dive? I don't know what you meant to write.

I meant to say that he leaps from one distance on a horizontal line, tackles the girl, saving her from danger. A horizontal 'diving save' (like as if you just try to push someone from a truck's driving line). How do I simplify that?

^ Again, this isn't correct English. Did you mean to write "attached" or "secured" to a line?

Well, since this is MOBA related... well it's a skill that travels to on one line of direction. Maybe I should have said 'in a direction', even if the direction is represented with a straight line.

@ Young Justice S4 E22: Rescue and Search

Complicating things is that they are Kandorians in the comics and it is unknown if Kandor was shrunk and stolen by Brainiac in this timeline or, if it was, the rest of Krypton knew its residents survived being abducted.

@ Picket Fences

  • Howard Buss's Alzheimer's making him think he is former Mayor Bill Pugen in one of his final scenes is one of the most depressing scenes in the series, but there is one Mood Whiplash scene where Howard finds some of Pugen's old clothes and complains that he isn't fat like people always said he (Pugen) was: his clothes were just too big.

@ Picket Fences

  • Jerkass Woobie: Bill Pugen is an enormous Mayor Pain 90% of the time and guilty of things like building a golf course over sacred Native American land and eventually shooting an unarmed carjacker, but he also has moments that show his confusion and misery as he tries to figure out just what he is doing wrong with his job to make his constituency so hostile toward him, and his spontaneous human combustion fate right after the implosion of his career can evoke additional pity.

@ Fillmore!

  • In "Foes Don't Forgive," Kip, the ventriloquist, claims that he never wanted to win the talent show due to his shyness and his motive for framing his magician rival Santiago of theft (stealing Dewey, the magic show's volunteer's toy dog so his mom won't get a real one from Kip's dog's litter) is seemingly unrelated to the talent show itself. But could it have been a two-birds-with-one-stone gambit? Kip goes to a lot of trouble to specifically frame Santiago, and regardless of how uncomfortable he feels about the attention from winning the talent show, it did come with a large money prize. It's notable that after his Heel Realization, he strives to make amends to both Santiago and Dewey.

@ Home on the Range

This film is not related to the Western mystery/comedy novel series Holmes on the Range.

@ Northern Exposure

  • Maggie is mostly a heroic character but can be a hot-headed and judgmental Straw Feminist at times, with one of her most controversial actions being hitting Joel hard enough to break his nose in response to an insult, refusing to apologize, and then trying to evict him when he sues her in response. Still, she leans a lot heavier on the woobie side due to her Doom Magnet Cartwright Curse (and how at least one of those boyfriends-whom she eventually admits she thought about marriage and kids with-constantly cheated on her), the glimpses of her dysfunctional family life, and how her house burns down with most of her possessions.

@ Northern Exposure

  • In "First Snow":
    • Shelly lies to Maurice about having never told him she loved him, leaving him depressed at the thought that he was empty and insecure enough to invent their whole relationship in his mind (leaving her guilty as well), which culminates in him bulldozing a gazebo where they had one of their most romantic moments.
    • Joel is left frustrated and despairing when one of his favorite patients expresses certainty she is about to die when he can find nothing medically wrong with her. Unusually (given his Agent Scully tendencies), it isn’t because he doesn't believe her, but because he does (with good reason) in spite of the medical evidence and is wrongly convinced that her approaching death must be his fault due to some medical problem that he can't spot.

@ Northern Exposure

  • The Unsolved Mystery: In "The Mystery of the Old Curio Shop," Joel convinces Maggie that she's a Windmill Crusader in thinking some shopkeepers are criminals and explains most of their odd behavior, but it isn't shown exactly why they outright lied to Maggie about having never had a statuette like the one she tried to buy earlier. It's also never revealed who stole two nitrous oxide tanks from the dentist (in a notoriously crime-free town) or why.

@ Northern Exposure

  • Maggie is calm and supportive when her boyfriend Rick's medical tests show he might have a dangerous condition, but the second that Joel reveals he's fine, she reads Rick the riot act for having spent the episode blaming what happened on her infamous Doom Magnet status.

  • On "Oy, Wilderness", Joel fixes Maggie's broken plane despite having no experience as a mechanic by looking at the engine problems through a medical lens.

    • Adam (a Supreme Chef whose claims of being a well-traveled Retired Badass are viewed skeptically) gets corroboration for some of this backstory in a doozy of a Noodle Incident when he and the head chef at Maurice's party turn out to know each other. Adam accuses the other man of stealing a recipe from him. The other chef replies that he thought Adam was dead at the time, and Adam rants about being Reduced to Ratburgers for three weeks in a bombed-out basement until he was able to use his gold fillings to pay "three opium merchants and a German shepherd" to dig him out.

  • In "Kaddish for Uncle Manny," the moment where Maurice methodically describes a search strategy to find the necessary Jewish observers to sit Shiva for Joel's uncle, given how Joel is the only Jew in Cicely.

    • Joel calmly and logically explains how Maggie has been misinterpreting a series of innocent events to create a mystery scenario and gets her to calm down and admit there is nothing really suspicious happening.
  • In "A Cup of Joe":
    • Marilyn figures out who robbed the petty cash drawer with a casual Sherlock Scan.
    • Joel acts dismissive, but takes her seriously enough to talk about how determined he is to catch the thief in front of the person Marilyn named, while adding that he'll expose the thief, whoever it is, to public humiliation unless the money is returned.
    • When Joel and Marilyn's suspect acts calm during Joel's speech, Joel thinks he is innocent, even after the money is mysteriously returned until Marilyn does another Sherlock Scan of the envelope.
    • Marilyn refuses to use her deductive skills to do more favors for Joel, cutting through his speech about the deeper meaning behind it to bluntly tell him that all he cares about is his favor and that she's not going to use her brains to be a cop.

@ Letters From Cicely

Fridge Horror

  • If the insomnia spell had ended at any other time than the staging of Maurice's play, then there might have been massive casualties from people falling asleep while driving like Michael, working outdoors, and the like.

@ Lilo & Stitch

  • Plasmoid (X-617), Thresher (X-544), Hammerface (X-033), and Heat (X-033) have a decent number of fans for both their colorful powers and the strategic way they use those powers while fighting Stitch on behalf of Gantu. They all have a lot of fan art despite not even being the main experiments from their debut.
  • Elastico (X-345) is quite popular due to his stretchy powers, cute yet mildly creepy clown face, and how he is one of the few experiments to be both named and reformed by someone other than Lilo and the other main characters.
  • Doubledip (X-002) has a decent fanbase for his Poke the Poodle purpose in life and how his resemblance to Stitch makes this feel even funnier.

  • Victoria only has notable roles in two series episodes but is pretty popular for being one of Lilo’s few genuine human friends.

@ The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes

@ The Shadow

  • The eponymous character in The Cobra makes an actual hostile cobra slink away from him in retreat by giving it a menacing stare and hissing back at it
  • In The Voodoo Master, The Shadow learns about a red-walled room related to Dr. Mocquibo and his plot and makes a red copy of his costume to blend in with the walls to disappear and then reappear, guns blazing.

Hi there! I just finished editing the Put on a Bus' Web Videos folder several days after i organized the entries in alphabetical order. I was wondering if the entry i added needs to be corrected just in case.

    Entry - Life SMP
  • There has been 5 cases that had happened throughout Life SMP where characters were absent for at least one session. Most of the time when this happens, this trope gets played around and substitutes have to play very unconvincingly like the characters that appeared, causing shenanigans to happen.
    • The first time that happened was in the first season 3rd Life where SmallishBeans took his absense on Day 7 for undisclosed reasons. Unlike most characters, SmallishBeans didn't have a substitute with him.
    • This also happened to GoodTimesWithScar in the second season Last Life where he was absent on Day 7 due to hospitalization in real life. Similar to SmallishBeans above, Scar didn't have a substitute.
    • A double absense happened during it's fourth season Limited Life where PearlescentMoon and ZombieCleo were unable to record for their respective sessions on Day 6 due to Pearl being in Japan at the time and Cleo's computer dying just hours before the session. Because of this, LDShadowLady and GeminiTay sub-in for Pearl and Cleo respectively.
    • TangoTek wasn't able to make it to the recording session on Day 6 of it's fifth season Secret Life. As a result, Rendog subbed-in for him for the entirety of the recording session and the task was given to Ren to have an Imaginary Friend that is exactly like Tango.

For BestKnownForTheFanservice.Live Action TV:

  • Swingtown: The show is best remembered for all the scenes of Lana Parrilla as Trina Decker in bikinis. A particular scene of note is one where she is shown wears a French maid outfit to seduce someone which is particularly popular among the many lesbian or bisexual fans of Lana.

For MsFanservice.Live Action TV:

  • Swingtown: Trina Decker is often shown in little clothing with the show going out of its way to highlight Lana Parrilla's good looks. In one scene, she dresses up as a French maid, with camera slowly moving up her body.

For French Maid Outfit:

  • Swingtown: One scene has Trina Decker dress up in a French maid outfit to seduce her husband, as he films her.

Any corrections?

Try "He did a Diving Save to get a young girl named Ruby out of danger..."

It looks like you don't need the confusing "direction/line" part of the sentence, so try:

"Roger fires a hunter net to a line, slowing down the first enemy hit."

ComicBook.Hilda And The Midnight Giant:

WesternAnimation.Hilda:
  • The Bus Came Back:
    • The last shot in the Season 3 trailer reveals that The Great Raven is back in Trolberg after being absent in the second season.
    • A couple of shots in the season 3 trailer reveal that the Giants are back, after previously appearing in the second episode of Season 1.

  • Arbitrary Skepticism: In one S3 clip, David is shown to be skeptical of the possibility that fairies are real... even though he resides in a world home to trolls, giants, elves, water spirits, ghosts, and witches, amongst a plethora of other supernatural creatures, many of which he has encountered.

YMMV.Hilda Tie In Series:

  • So Okay, It's Average: How many feel towards the novels. They do a fine enough job adapting the series to a novel format (and they sometimes exceed the series in some areas). However, beyond offering little to distinguish themselves from the show and comics, they're held back by Off-Model art, wonky pacing, and a slew of writing and characterization issues (primarily it being overly mean-spirited compared to the show). Even if they're not awful, they don't hold a candle to the series or the original comics.

Thanks Arivne

I’ll try to wrap up in the next 1-4 days.

@ Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

One or two of the Five Wives will have A Minor Kidroduction, living alongside her family with the Wretched, when Furiosa first reaches the Citadel.

The People Eater will have a Chronic Backstabbing Disorder if he appears or is mentioned and will switch sides at least once in the war between Joe and Dementus due to his ideas about what is profitable and who is winning.

The Bullet Farm will appear in person, maybe being attacked by Dementus.
  • He is seen above what appears to be a foundry, while a bunch of bullets pour down onto him.
  • Given how his vest has bullets on it, maybe Dementus started out as a Mook or slave there and heads back for revenge.

The Polecats will enter a battle in a way reminiscent of how they introduce themselves in the 2014 film but will actually be The Cavalry here due to potentially opposing Dementus.
  • They are a faction it would be good to see again.

The remnants of Dementus’s faction will become Rock Riders.
  • It would explain why Furiosa is so willing to betray them, and a biker with horns on his helmet is seen driving alongside Dementus in the trailer. Also, both factions seem to be based in the hills.

While Corpus Colossus will be absent, Joe will use an invention he made while still making an Anti-Intellectualism comment about it.
  • Maybe a lone gyro-copter as a callback to the second film.

The inspiration for the Warboys will be discussed and will relate to Scrooloose from the third movie.

Valkyrie will almost be kidnapped with Furiosa but narrowly escape and may be biologically related to her.
  • Furiosa is briefly seen running through the Green Place along with other girls.

The Many Mothers will be shown at their most pacifistic while a couple of the ones from the 2014 movie warn them they need to start using weapons and tricks more often and it is her abduction which makes them accept that (something Furiosa hears about later during her captivity).
  • Furiosa is briefly shown wearing a mask and helmet like the one some of them wear, so maybe some of them were already fighters but another flashback implies the group as a whole isn’t like that.

The Warrior Woman from the second film will make a cameo, having been Left for Dead but survived to join the Many Mothers.

Jeet, Gutgash, Pink Eye, Chumbucket, Hope (albeit maybe combining elements of her comic version) and Griffa from the game (or at least their locations) will be mentioned).

Someone will show off something they acquired in Bartertown (or maybe a location with a name like New Bartertown) either recently or long ago.

Miss Giddy will be a warrior for Joe and/or one of his wives at this point in her life.

The film will show what happens if Joe ever has a daughter. He probably wouldn’t kill the girl, but maybe will kill or divorce the mother.

Daniel Weber plays a young Ace.
  • Ace should appear in some capacity.

Dementus and some of his men are remnants of the army of Lord Humongous.
  • Both groups seek to contain some enforcers who wear black bandanas.

Joe will still insist on being called by his military rank here into to abandon it for the Immortan Joe name at the end.

The Green Place will have a dog or monkey like the ones Max had.

The Organic Mechanic in this film will die and is actually the father of the previously-introduced one.

[[folder:May from the first film will be an ancestor of either the Many Mothers or Miss Giddy.]]

The Oasis from the third film will be a mysterious Famed In-Story place compared to the Green Place.

Someone will mention or have flashbacks about fighting in the Thunderdome.

Tommorow-Morrow Land and the Great Northern Tribe will be mentioned as factions that are stabilizing regions but that Joe and Dementus view as weak and refuse to cooperate with.

A Hidden Elf Village like a continuity of government bunker with society and technology like before the end of society will be seen or rumored in this film or a future installment.

Dementus will die predicting to Furiosa that she will be unable to stand by Joe forever and that he takes comfort in how she will betray him one day.

@ Bullet Train

  • Some fans like to imagine that Tangerine only passed out from blood loss due to the difficulty of imaging the world of the film without him.
@ X-Men
  • He's Just Hiding: Since the introduction of the Krakoa Resurrection Protocols, even if a dead mutant or character who could have latent mutant genes or powers hasn’t shown up alive there (like seemingly unpowered members of the Grey and Rasputin families), there are likely fans speculating that character has been resurrected offscreen.

@ Leroy & Stitch

  • The old newspaper headline about Jumba and Hamsterveil's first experiment says "Idiot Scientists Actually Create Something."

@ Lilo & Stitch: The Series

  • A lot of the bonding between Hamsterveil and Mertle when he enjoys her treating him like a pet is cute, such as when he asks to be pushed down a slide one more time and smiles as she feeds him gerbil seeds during show-and-tell.

  • After his team of new experiments capture Stitch and his duplicates, Gantu is briefly shown hosting a victory feast for them to celebrate.

@ Star Wars Legends

  • Chiss Jedi Padawan Nuru Kungurama from The Clone Wars: Secret Missions is considered to be a highly interesting, well-written, and underrated Clone Wars protagonist. Two of his companions, clone trooper Chatterbox and reprogrammed commando droid Cleaver, also have big followings. This is due to Chatterbox's humorous characterization as The Quiet One and flirtatious relationship with freighter captain Lalo Gunn, and Cleaver's interest in knowing about the Force.

@ The Odds Were Never In My Favour

@ The Shadow

@ Veronica Mars

  • Carrie being recast in the movie before dying there causes some fans to half-seriously wonder if that was the real her that died there or an imposter.

@ The Journey of Natty Gann

  • Jerkass Woobie: The gang of delinquents whom Natty briefly falls in with are all struggling to survive during the Great Depression when they have even fewer resources and opportunities than most people and lack the optimism Natty's upcoming family reunion gives her, as they indicate that they had pretty troubled home lives. That being said, they are also unrepentant thieves who abandon Natty while fleeing from a policeman.

@ X-Wing Series

  • Necessarily Evil: After the Empire built two Death Stars and destroyed Alderaan, Darron has admitted to himself that he serves a fundamentally evil regime that will continue threatening innocents the longer that people like him serve it. Nonetheless, he remains loyal to the Empire (albeit while taking pains to save lives and avoid his orders when tasked with carrying out atrocities himself) due to feeling that it can provide peace to systems willing to accept its governance, which will be thrown into anarchy if the New Republic takes over.

@ The Callista Trilogy

  • They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: Most fans agree that Children of the Jedi actually starts off with some good and vivid introduced storylines, but (with the possible exception of Han and Chewie's search for the mysterious abandoned Jedi safehouse Plett's Well), they gradually lose steam due to seeming weird and illogical after more careful thought, receiving too little page-time, or being built up and drawn out until the reader expects more than the conclusion of the book could offer all feel like they could have been better done in a multi-book story arc or a story that had been planned out a little more in advance.
    • Children of former Jedi coming out of hiding to join Luke's academy and having had their own Jedi Purge survival arc is mostly dropped (both in this book and later in the series) after Nichos fades Out of Focus as this story progresses.
    • A Dark Jedi who can control technology, claims to be Palpatine's son, has Jedi relatives, and has Leia kidnapped doesn't show up until more than halfway through the book.
    • Mixed with They Wasted a Perfectly Good Character, one of Luke's apprentices, Cray Mingla, is a scientific prodigy (and one whose mentor was a Reluctant Mad Scientist Death Star designer and who has an uneasy relationship with Leia) trying to save her fellow Jedi lover from a fatal disease by transferring his mind into a human replica droid while wondering if he is truly still alive or is just an AI parroting old memories. Her relationship with her old mentor isn't important to the plot; she gets few notable combat scenes, and her best scientific accomplishments are mostly offscreen before she becomes a Damsel in Distress who only has a few scenes with her lover.
    • Brainwashed aliens become stormtroopers as an automated superweapon abducts them during stops on its way to carry out a mission of destruction. It could have been an epic stoyline if it didn't focus so much on the kidnapped Gammoreans (who are entertaining at first but can lose their novelty as the book continues). Additionally, the whole setup can come across as Stupid Evil at its finest, given the logistical and tactical fallacies involved.
    • Jedi Master Plett's whereabouts after he left the planet Belavis to protect many younger Jedi but continued helping it out from other worlds feels like the beginnings of a big subplot but is ultimately forgotten about.

@Arivne: ... Eh, on second thought, I think it's left ambiguous by the lore if Roger actually used the trope Diving Save. So... I think I'm going to modify that particular part into this: "He saved a young girl named Ruby..."

Seems simpler and can still convey the feeling of a Big Damn Heroes. What do you think? (The second part about not using lines, I'll agree to your suggestion)

Also, I think there's are several part I'd like to check up on Multiplayer Online Battle Arena. I'm just adding for an existing bullet point, which will be signified with bolded parts, but you may as well check up with the rest of the sentences...:

  • Auto Chess MOBA: A MOBA based on the Auto Chess mobile game, which was spun off from a mod of Dota 2 that would become Dota Underlords. In Auto Chess' case, they used a more chibi-fied, cutesy original design based on the heroes of Dota 2. In a full-circle development, these new designs would be put in a mobile MOBA game that tried its best to emulate Dota 2 rather than League of Legends, right down to wards, terrain elevation, primary stats and heroes more similar to the Dota heroes. Unfortunately, it failed to gain popularity, thus it closed down in February 2023.

And for this one, in the same page, it's a revamp on an existing bullet point:

  • Arena of Valor: An internationalized version Honor of Kings, with a Nintendo Switch port, making it the first 'traditional' mobile MOBA that has a console appearance. The hero design of this game caters to more international/Western audience, and for a time, utilized Guest Fighter from DC Comics, such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and The Joker. Aside of being an internationalized version, it's a lot more accessible than Honor of Kings by the virtue of not having the need to register to those aforementioned applications. Despite the international version of Honor of Kings announced, no plans are announced that the two will be merged: They will instead walk together in coexistence.

Here's the description for the new page I'm making

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles vs. Street Fighter is a crossover comic between Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Street Fighter consisting of a five-issue miniseries.

A new martial arts tournament is being held in Atlantic City attracting fighters from all across the world to test their might. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have excitedly decided to take part in the tournament and find themselves facing off against the legendary Street fighters. The two sides intend to prove themselves against each other and a fierce rivalry is born as they face off. However a new threat to both the Turtles and Street Fighters seems to be on the horizon as mysterious enemy is kidnapping the participants of the tournament and both sides will need to team up to get to the bottom of this mystery.

"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."
