Kelly Popp, better known by her YouTube channel name KPopp, is a gamer and Let's Player.

KPopp is most well known for her various humorous The Sims and Grand Theft Auto series, her ironic Bile Fascination-fueled Let's Plays of So Bad, It's Good dating sims and "girly" games, her serious Let's Plays of certain other games, and her old Would You Rather and Dumb Yahoo Answers series.

KPopp has a Twitch channel, and also hosts a Minecraft server called Bapcraft.

She is currently in a relationship with Whiteboy7thst, another YouTube Let's Player.

KPopp provides examples of:

  • Alpha Bitch: Her usual style of play for roleplaying games is to become the head bitch. Largely to be on top, mostly to instigate drama between other characters and watch.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: In some Let's Plays she forgets about what she was doing when something else catches her eye, and can miss some stuff that way — however, that's often what makes her play style and commentary entertaining. She has said herself that she thinks she has all the symptoms of "Adult ADHD".
  • Catchphrase: A few.
    • "BAP!" — whenever something or someone hits something or someone else.
    • "Dat ass!"
    • "She wants the D!" / "He wants the V!"
    • "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
    • "Let's be real..."
    • "Awkward moment!" — when an awkward moment (usually a pause) happens in the dialogue.
  • Canon Welding: Her San Myshuno neighborhood brings some of characters from "America's Next Top Model: The Game", continuing their stories in a Spin-Off. Then Izzy Romero from the "Nancy Drew" series comes into the neighborhood, with Kelly now establishing that both the ANTM and Nancy Drew series take place in the same canon here.
  • Child Hater: A lot of people think she is this due to how she treats children in most of LP series. She takes in her Sims 3 challenge that she's alright with real babies, but hates sim babies.
  • Cluster F-Bomb
  • Cowboy Cop: Herself, when she's playing Kelly's Police Brigade. She usually means well, but she'll fragrantly break the law in order to uphold it. This includes driving through a crowd of people to catch a criminal, or becoming a criminal herself, murdering people and leading the entire police force on a long and dangerous pursuit in the name of "training" them.
  • Crack Pairing: In-universe, her Sims Hunger Games netted some weird pairings.
    • Katniss simultaneously won the reward and punishment votes in one episode; the reward was getting to WooHoo with the house slave, and the punishment was to WooHoo with Amanda Bynes.
    • The second season had Taylor marry Harry Styles and sleep with Harry Potter.
  • Crossover: Guest Starred in a couple of Vikkstar123's Call of Duty videos.
  • Deadpan Snarker
  • Drives Like Crazy: In her Grand Theft Auto videos. Even when she tries to be a good person and avoid causing mayhem, she'll frequently crash into cars or run over people by accident.
  • Early-Installment Weirdness: In the earlier videos KPopp is much more shy and reserved than what most of her viewers are used to now.
  • The Eeyore: Discussed in the second "Would You Rather" question in "Would You Rather : Fake a Nuke"
    • and throwing criminals in front of moving cars or subways.
  • Failure Is the Only Option: She can never truly beat Facade, either because she decides to goof off, or she gets too frustrated and can't help but insult Grace.
  • Fan Community Nickname: KPopp calls her fans "popptarts" and "manlytarts".
  • Fan-Preferred Couple: In-universe. During her playthrough of Vincent's route in Sims Life Stories, she is immediately taken with the jittery Alexa Starr, and prefers her over the canon love interest, Naomi Hunt. When Naomi suddenly dies Kelly forgoes reviving her as the game intended. She instead lets Naomi stay dead so Vincent can get with Alexa.
  • Foregone Conclusion: In the first episode of her Sims 4: Dine Out playthrough, she plays as Tara Dikov (her character in her America's Next Top Model playthrough) and explains that her modeling career never took off, which is why she's running a restaurant. The ANTP playthrough was only 3 episodes in when she started Dine Out. Another video explains it in full: Tara did become America's next top model, but it wasn't as prosperous as she thought. (The world ending may have been an issue.) She became a door-to-door supermodel, then presumably gave up her modeling career by the time Dine Out happened.
    • Now seemingly subverted; after the end of Tara's first series, her future was retconned out. She'll now be working as a model and singer in the big city, managing a successful career.
  • The Gadfly: One episode of Facade had her insist on being Trip's mistress, solely to anger Grace and destroy their marriage. When she's not claiming to be having an affair with Trip, she insults Grace's camel toe.
  • Gag Censor: "Teddy Ass" is a teddy bear that KPopp uses instead of a censor bar in games that show nudity.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: After pushing a criminal in front of a moving car in one of her police videos, she comments how her actions were disgusting and she'd never want to do that again. Subverted later on though, where she repeatedly throws people in front of a moving subway.
  • Humiliation Conga: Nicole, the final rival for Tara in America's Next Top Model. After her attempts to cheat and sabotage Tara's game fail, she loses the competition, is berated by the head judge, and will likely never become a professional model once word of her actions gets out. K Popp confirms that Nicole goes on to become Tara's assistant, under a very strict contract (which includes her only being able to wear unstylish clothes for the elderly and gaining at least 25 pounds), and being forced to take the job because she was desperate for money.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: The first part of her Facade playthrough. Already heavily drunk, she insists on drinking more if she has to put up with Trip's whining and Grace's bitchiness.
  • Most Writers Are Male: Discussed during let's plays of certain corny dating sims.
  • Police Are Useless: It becomes increasingly clear that this is the case in Kelly's Police Brigade; the AI cops continually pile up on each other, run other officers over or even accidentally gun them down. Kelly herself's even been the victim of this when the police run her over while chasing after a criminal. The only consistently useful cop is Alfred, but that's only because his unusually aggressive AI means he's quick to shoot first and ask questions later.
  • Police Brutality: Kelly's Police Brigade, in which most episodes have her breaking the law, killing innocent and guilty people alike, and harassing civilians for minor infractions.
    • Alfred (her AI partner) is much worse, as he often guns down people for minor infractions.
  • The Pollyanna: Discussed in the second "Would You Rather" question in "Would You Rather : Fake a Nuke".
  • Refuge in Audacity: KPopp likes making naughty or off-color jokes during her playthroughs, and her fans love that. However, she tends not to do that during actually serious or sad moments in the games, and can sometimes have a Dude, Not Funny! reaction to herself if she believes one of her jokes crossed the line.
  • Running Gag:
    • In games that let you name your characters, especially dating sims, the female name is always "Awkward", the male name is "Buttplu".
    • KPopp calls any animal she sees "puppy". Any animal. She even named her first horse in Skyrim Puppy.
    • Twerking.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Some of the people who asked the questions used in "Dumb Yahoo Answers". KPopp herself sometimes.
  • Villain Protagonist: In some of her Facade videos, where she'll play an active and willful role in ruining the lives of Trip and Grace.
