Main Character

     Narrator Hades

Narrator Hades/Sabrinaverse Hades

  • Alternate Self: This Hades is from the Sabrinaverse.
  • Everyone Has Standards: In Chapter 15, he says that he loves chaos but even he thinks Sapphire and Ganondorf need to be stopped and doesn't kidnap Ruby until after she's said goodbye to Summer
  • Kidnapped by the Call: Ends up pulling this on main universe Ruby to help solve the situation in the Sapphire Onyx timeline.
  • Large Ham: It's Hades, no matter what role he is in, it is to be expected of him.
  • Interactive Narrator: Depends on the situation, as this is very rare but not unheard of, as he starts the series by throwing out the Watcher and even pulls the main universe Ruby into another universe.
  • Official Couple: He is married to Yukari Yakumo and has a daughter named Buru.
  • Talking to Themself: Because he is the narrator of the series and the one showing us all of these universes, he usually tends to talk to himself.
  • Visions of Another Self: It is heavily implied that he is responsible for giving characters in the main timeline visions of what goes down in the alternate timelines.

What If... Dark Ruby Had a Vision?

     Good Dark Ruby
  • Good Feels Good: Though she initially sets off doing good deeds to avert her demise in Super RWBY IF Chapter 17, she comes to this realization later on.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Due to her future visions and advice from Madame Clairvoya, this Dark Ruby becomes a hero on a path to redemption.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Her doing good deeds at first-she only sees it as a way to keep herself from dying. However, she quickly realizes Good Feels Good and becomes a true hero.
  • Rapid-Fire "No!" / Big "NO!": Lets out these when Team Dark RWB and Meta drag her into Princess Peach's Castle, after she advises not getting the jump on the heroes and leave them alone because she doesn't want to be blown up by Ruby. Her team and the Meta think she's just being ridiculous.
  • Seers: Uniquely, this version can see visions of possible outcomes. Sadly, people often ignore her advice and suffer.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Surprisingly, this happens in Chapter 17 of Super RWBY IF: after failing to prevent visions of her teammates' deaths from coming to pass because they didn't believe her and visiting Madame Clairvoya, Dark Ruby discards her old name and does genuinely heroic deeds throughout the storyline to initially prevent her demise, but ends up becoming an actual hero.

What If... Death Trained Ruby?

     Grimm Reaper Ruby

Reaper Rose / Ruby Rose

  • Comically Lopsided Rivalry: Has this with The Devil due to her taking souls away from him and doing his job better than him. The Devil is an Unknown Rival to her and she easily takes his soul when he and King Dice confront her while she is on vacation alongside her friends and family.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite becoming the Grimm Reaper of Remnant, and having a drastic appearance change, she is still the same Ruby Rose we all know and love underneath it all.
  • Department of Redundancy Department: lampshaded, a lot, as Ruby's new name is Reaper Rose while her title is Rose Reaper.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Her response when she realizes she didn't have to Ret-Gone Dark Pit.
  • Ripple-Effect-Proof Memory: When she kills people born of unnatural means, i.e. Dark Pit, Dark Weiss, and Dark Ruby any memory of their existence gets erased, with her being the only one who remembers.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Reaper Rose is powerful enough to defeat several major villains without trouble. The same villains that the heroes back in the original universe have often struggled with or are still having a hard time stopping.

What If... Someone Else Found Ruby?/What If... Ruby Fought Sapphire?

     Sapphire Onyx
  • Adaptational Villainy: Due to Ganondorf's influence she becomes a ruthless dictator who kills anyone in her path and takes over Remnant.
  • Became Their Own Antithesis: Main universe Ruby points out that Sapphire essentially became as bad as the villains she fought before her change.
  • Broken Tears: After she is stopped she breaks down at the realization of what she did, tearing up and begging Ruby for death.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: This is her reaction after main universe Ruby beats her and points out that she became the very thing she swore to destroy.
  • Self-Imposed Exile: After her defeat, both she and Yin Li continue to live in Gerudo Town for the rest of their lives.

     Yin Li
  • My God, What Have I Done?: She had this upon realizing she had a role in Sapphire's transformation.
  • Undying Loyalty: Despite all Sapphire has done, Yin remains loyal to her younger sister and even goes into exile with her.

What If... Salem Found Esdeath?

     Ice Empress Esdeath
  • Endless Winter: Tries to take over all of Remnant by covering the entire planet in ice and snow to turn it into her frozen-over kingdom.
  • Hurl It into the Sun: Or space, which is how this version of Esdeath gets rid of Salem to take over Remnant, freezing her solid and throwing her into space.
  • Kill It with Ice: Her preferred way of killing people.

What If... Ridley Killed Samus?

     Bounty Hunter Chell

What If... Junko Won?

     Phazon Despair Queen Junko
  • Adaptational Badass: Due to her obtaining Phazon powers and the powers of the previous Fall Maiden Cinder Fall she became a force to be reckoned with, that even some of the most powerful characters had trouble with fighting.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Even though she dies in the end, the consequences of her actions will forever be felt in her universe, most of the heroes are dead, Ruby and Chiaki are forever traumatized and the survivors will have to live with the memories of what happened.

What If... An X-Parasite Befriended Blake?

     Blake and Sahila/X-Blake

What If... Weiss Was Raised by the Faunus of Menagerie?

     Weiss Tojo-Belladonna
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: While her canon counterpart wasn't very mean, this version of Weiss is a lot nicer than how Weiss was at the start of the series in the main timeline.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: In canon, Weiss is dating the male Neptune. Here, she's implied to be somewhere on the LGBT+ spectrum, as she's heavily implied to have feelings for Blake.
  • Happily Adopted: Even though she knows Kirumi isn't her mom, she doesn't care and loves her all the same.
  • In-Series Nickname: She ends up picking up the nickname Weiss Fang.
  • Shout-Out: Her final battle with Jacques in this universe is one big reference to the final battle between Tarzan and Clayton.

What If... Xena Was Shot Someplace Else?

     Winter Ops Xena and Yagami
  • Adaptational Heroism: Due to Esdeath's actions, Yagami becomes more heroic and does not fall into villainy.
  • Artificial Limbs: Esdeath gives Xena and Yagami new hands, feet, and part of their ears due to heavy frostbite.
  • Fire/Ice Duo: Due to being found by Esdeath in this timeline, Xena and Yagami develop the ability to use ice and fire respectively.
  • Happily Adopted: They consider Esdeath to be their mother and the feeling is mutual, with Esdeath happily considering both to be her daughters.
  • Parental Substitute: The duo ends up viewing Esdeath this way, considering everything she did for them it's not hard to see why.

What If... Peach and Ruby SWITCHED BODIES?!

     Princess Ruby Rose
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: She and Peach switched bodies thanks to a complete accident and is permanent.
  • Official Couple: She and Pit are still dating and is currently engaged to him.
  • Royals Who Actually Do Something: She proved to be an even more effective Princess than Peach was. She not only improved the castle's defenses, but she also drove Bowser away from kidnapping her for good.

     Huntress Peach
  • "Freaky Friday" Flip: She and Ruby switched bodies thanks to a complete accident and is permanent.
  • Lets Wait Awhile: She and Mario are still in love, but with her now being a teenager, they decide to wait until she's older before continuing their relationship.

What If... Ruby Gave Up Her Phazon?

     Keyblade Ruby Rose
  • Adaptational Badass: Thanks to her Keyblade training, she was able to defeat foes that gave her trouble and changed many events in the process.
  • Summon Magic: She has three Heartbinders for summonable allies in the form of the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, Batman, Jack Skellington, and his dog, Zero.

     Akoya Rose
  • Affectionate Nickname: Yang calls her "Ako" for short.
  • Baby Of The Bunch: She is the youngest of the Rose-Xiao Long family despite her appearance as a teenage girl, even younger than Maia.
  • Back from the Dead: She is this to Dark Ruby, who was reborn as a Nobody after her original self turned into a Heartless.
  • Happily Adopted: Despite being the Nobody of Dark Ruby, she was happily adopted and welcomed into the Rose-Xiao Long family with open arms without hesitation.
  • Red Oni, Blue Oni: She is like this towards Ruby, both figuratively and literally. Whereas the latter is loud, outgoing, and excitable while the former is shy, soft-spoken, and reserved.
  • Shrinking Violet: Unlike Dark Ruby, she is timid. She easily fainted when Ruby came up to her very fast.

     The Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers

     Batman

What If... Chiaki Got Isekai'd to Hyrule?

     Twilight Chiaki

Chiaki Nanami

  • A God Am I: While she hasn't exactly said it herself, it's obvious that with her reality-warping powers via the Triforce combined with her delusions of faux-heroism, she quite clearly has a god complex.
  • Adaptational Badass: Zigzagged. Armed with the power of the Triforce, Twilight Chiaki is stronger than Main Universe Chiaki during the events of Galactic Conquest Prime and 3D Land. However, whether or not she's stronger than her after gaining Dimentio's Chaos Powers remains to be seen.
    • She also gained many new skills and unlike Prime Chiaki, she's willing to use anime-based powers and is fully capable of beating Chiaki and everybody else with her.
  • Affably Evil: She's still the same game-loving dork we all know and love, which makes it pretty easy to forget she's a corrupted Knight Templer out to eradicate all "evil".
  • Always Someone Better: As powerful as Chiaki is, she made the mistake of challenging the Beyonder from Marvel. Who on his best day, can cause multiversal destruction. Needless to say, Twilight Chiaki loses badly.
  • Asshole Victim: Deconstructed. At first Twilight Chiaki WAS killing only bad guys, making her a well-intentioned extremist at best. But as time goes on, Twilight continues to kill more and more villains until they she begins murdering 'villains' in name only or those who were a Necessary Evil such as Darkseid in some worlds. It eventually leads to her start killing good people who disagree with her as she becomes mentally unstable. Even villainous versions of herself, such as one who became Darth Vader, call her out on this.
  • Back from the Dead: The Goddess Hylia revived Chiaki into a new body after being killed by Junko.
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Her prime self comes to stop her. Sadly, Chiaki is unable to defeat Twilight Chiaki as the former and all her friends are beaten, sent back to their universe, and essentially forced to allow Twilight Chiaki to do whatever she wants in her universe.
  • Believing Their Own Lies: Despite killing countless villains no matter how small their crime is or willing to murder civilians as collateral damage (even if she can bring them back to life), Twilight Chiaki still believes herself the good guy.
  • Berserk Button: Do NOT call her a villain. She's a hero. No matter how many she's killed, she's still a hero. Junko also to a degree.
  • Break the Haughty: After facing the Beyonder, who defeats her, he strips her of the Tri-Force and causes her to realize all the horrible crimes she committed. Ashamed of herself. Then, just to be a jerk, the Beyonder places it back on her making her forget this epiphany but also damaging her mind.
  • Didn't Think This Through: She attempted to speedrun through Snowpeak Ruins. It almost worked. She just didn't take into account that the shard of the Mirror of Twilight would be heavy or the fact that the door would be locked from the inside.
    • She failed to take into account how Zant would rebel against her and come back to haunt her literally.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Though she has fallen hard from the dorky gamer girl she used to be, Twilight Chiaki still cares deeply for Midna, Link, Zelda, and all her other classmates. She seals them in Hyrule so she can enjoy universal paradise with them together once she achieves her goal. However, it's implied this action was partly motivated by paranoia, as she knew her crusade was morally sketchy and sealed her friends in Hyrule so they wouldn't get in her way.
  • Fallen Heroine: Sadly, though she helped save Hyrule from Zant and brought peace to her world after defeating Junko, the Triforce has fully corrupted her, turning her from a hero desperate to return home to a self-righteous hypocrite who's willing to destroy all evil in the universe..no matter what.
  • Fatal Flaw: Desperation. She was willing to do anything to get back home no matter the cost. Taking the power of full Triforce ultimately corrupted her.
  • Foil: Twilight Chiaki is this to Sapphire Onyx. Both are villainous counterparts of a beloved hero who became corrupted by the Triforce of Power to defeat their respective Arch-Enemy who had caused them a lot of pain (Dark Ruby for Sapphire, Junko for Twilight Chiaki). But while Sapphire was a Card-Carrying Villain who ruled Remnant with an iron fist, Twilight Chiaki is a Knight Templer who is on a crusade to eradicate all villains in her universe. They were also great enough threats that their main universe counterpart was sent in to bring them down (Though not so willingly on Ruby's part, as Narrator Hades forcibly launched her into Sapphire's timeline). However, while Ruby managed to overpower Sapphire Onyx and got her to see the error of her ways and reform, Chiaki wasn't so lucky, as not only did her Twilight counterpart utterly refuse to see reason and still believe herself to be in the right, despite all evidence proving otherwise, but Twilight Chiaki easily defeats Chiaki and Co. and sends them back to their universe, not deterred in her crusade one bit.
  • Heel–Face Door-Slam: After the Beyonder takes the Triforce away from her, Twilight Chiaki finally thinks clearly for the first time since she defeated Junko, free from its corruptive influence. As she does, she realizes what she had done, slaughtering countless people she saw as villains, even people like Bowser, the Wario Bros., Claude, and Edelgard, who weren't truly evil people. As the words of Main Universe Chiaki rang in her mind, she finally realized that she was the villain all along, sobbing in remorse at what she had done. But before she could reflect on her sins and forge her path to redemption, the Beyonder, out of pure amusement, returned the Triforce to her, not only erasing her epiphany but damaging her mind to the point she cannot tell friend from foe, making her even more unstable than before.
  • Jumping Off the Slippery Slope: After the Beyonder defeats Twilight Chiaki while also causing mental damage, Twilight Chiaki is unable to discern who is genuinely good. This causes everyone to realize innocent bystanders are in danger of her after she kills Makoto for trying to support her.
  • Killing Your Alternate Self: Has gone insane enough that she's willing to kill all 'false' Chiakis, even innocent ones like a mother with kids.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: Zelda, Link, and those who helped her get back home...imprisoned.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: It's made very clear by everyone that Twilight Chiaki is no longer a hero. Despite what Twilight Chiaki might say.
  • Only the Chosen May Wield: The Master Sword and the pieces of the Triforce SHOULD have left her after committing her crimes. Unfortunately, Chiaki found a way to forcibly keep them on her despite clearly being unworthy.
  • Power-Up: She obtained several Legend of Zelda tools during her adventure in Hyrule.
    • She obtained a steel longsword, iron shield, and metal boomerang.
    • She obtained a crossbow allowing her to shoot Fire, Ice, Shock, and Bomb Arrows.
    • At the end of Chapter 16 of Wings Of Ruin, she gains the Infinity Gauntlet.
  • Precision F-Strike: Unlike Chiaki of the main universe, she has no problem swearing.
  • Revenge: Part of her quest is to become strong enough to defeat Junko for what she has done.
  • Team Pet: She obtained a black horse named Blackberry and renamed it Ibuki.
  • Sanity Has Advantages: When facing another Chiaki, who's a single mother with no powers, Twilight Chiaki ends up injured and humiliated before killing her. Justified as her slipping sanity causes her to make many mistakes she wouldn't have had she been sane and used her power right.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: To a degree, Twilight Chiaki is currently content in dealing with all evil in her universe and a few local ones. She threatens her prime self she will go to the main one and others to destroy if Prime Chiaki ever returns. Though time will tell if she leaves her universe or not forever.
  • Sealed Good in a Can: Imprison all her friends and allies, including from Hyrule to ensure they can't betray her for trying to save the universe.
  • Underestimating Badassery: Twilight Chiaki seemingly forgot that the Beyonder is someone who is a multiversal threat in the Marvel universe. As such, she ends up losing badly by overestimating her own strength.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Link and Zelda chose very poorly in giving Chiaki their prices of the Triforce and Master Sword.
  • Villain Killer: A pretty terrifying example. After beating Junko and erasing Zant for good, Chiaki started getting corrupted by the Triforce and began ridding the universe of all evil. For example, in the Mushroom Kingdom, she took care of threats from the main universe such as Fawful and Midbus, and she somehow got into the Paper Universe and took care of Count Bleck and his minions. However, her quest also extends to lesser villains such as Bowser and the Koopa Troop, as well as trouble-making Anti-Heroes like Wario and Waluigi. And based on the Finale of her Super RWBY IF story, it's heavily implied she also killed Claude and Edelgard.
  • With Great Power Comes Great Insanity: Once she stops Junko via a wish from the Triforce, she realizes that she can use it to get rid of any evil...even people like Bowser or Claude.
  • Would Be Rude to Say "Genocide": Twilight Chiaki is shown to become much worse during her time to rid evil from the world. Outright admitting to committing GENOCIDE on the entire Koopa Troopa species except for Junior...who she proceeds to educate for his own good.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Willing to kill even child versions of herself, which horrifies a version of Chiaki that became a Sith Lord.
  • Wouldn't Hurt a Child: Although she practically committed genocide on the entire Koopa Troop in her timeline, she couldn't bring herself to do the same to Bowser Junior. That said, she DID put him in a re-education camp inside Hope's Peak and is practically grooming him to be a good guy, so...
  • You Are What You Hate: By this point, Twilight Chiaki becomes no different from the genuine villains she's killed. Killing her version of Remnant and hundreds of versions of herself all while deluding herself that she's still a hero.
  • You Monster!: Everyone who sees her actions sees Twilight Chiaki as this.

     Isekai Zant

Zant

  • Adaptational Badass: This version proved to be much more dangerous than the canon self once provoked and not serving Ganondorf.
  • Back from the Dead: He would return as a ghost and possess Junko in another attempt to kill both Chiaki and Midna. He had to be destroyed by Triforce to ensure he could not return.
  • Big Bad: He is the main villain of What If... Chiaki Got Isekai'd to Hyrule? 4-parter along with Junko.
  • Hijacked by Ganon: He takes over Ganondorf's place as the final enemy for Chiaki to defeat in both Hyrule and Japan.

What If... Yang Was A Half-Genie?

     Half-Genie Yang

Yang Branwen

     Pyrrha Arc

Pyrrha Arc

  • Age Lift: She's an adult here, when, in the main stories, she's implied to be a teenager.
  • Happily Married: She is married to Jaune in this universe and has a daughter named Calliope.
  • Mama Bear: Hurting her family is an instant way to get on her bad side as the bandits learned the hard way.
  • Team Pet: Aetoc is her guard bird Pyrrha created originally as a toy for her daughter which came to life.

     Futaba

Futaba Sakura

     Rottytops

Rottytops

  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite all the changes that come in this story, Rottytops is pretty much the same character.
  • Our Zombies Are Different: She is a friendly zombie and joins Yang's group on their adventure.
  • Running Gag: She will occasionally ask her friend if she can eat their brain, and said friend usually says no.

What If... Cinder Ran Off?

     Cinder Nikos

Cinder Nikos

  • Adaptational Heroism: In this universe, Cinder becomes a selfless and more heroic individual thanks to the Nikos family.
  • Cool Teacher: As a Beacon teacher, she makes sure that her students are emotionally okay and makes sure they are able to work together. She's also more than willing fight with them on the front line.
  • Happily Adopted: She was adopted into the Nikos family after hearing her tragic backstory.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite all the changes in this story, Cinder still became the Fall Maiden under different circumstances.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Cinder is Pyrrha's older adoptive sister in this universe.
  • Shipper on Deck: She's very supportive of the idea of Pyrrha and Jaune getting together.

What If... Maki Assassinated Jacques?

     Jacques Schnee

Jacques Schnee

  • Asshole Victim: Obviously.
  • Cruel and Unusual Death: Jacques gets assassinated by Maki in many alternate timelines, with his deaths ranging from quick and painless to cartoonisly violent. Though given this is Jacques we're talking about, it's pretty cathartic.

     Maki Harukawa

Maki Harukawa

  • Adaptational Personality Change: Though still rather aloof and stoic, this iteration of Maki isn't nearly as rude or cold as she was in V3 prior to her Character Development. She can also be pretty eccentric at times, as her murders of Jacques Schnee across different timelines can attest to.
  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She is tasked with assassinating Jacques Schnee. And although in many timelines, her methods of said assassination are...eccentric to say the least, she still got the job done.
  • Chained to a Railway: She inflicts this on Jacques in an alternate timeline when tasked with assassinating him, doing it the old-fashioned way as she knocked him out, tied him to a railway, and mercilessly ran him over while posing as a train conductor.

What If... Yang Touched The Chaos Heart?

     Harmonic Yang

Harmonic Yang

  • Big Sister Instinct: As always. The Point of Divergence that creates this timeline is Yang, utterly enraged by how much Dimentio made Ruby suffer, breaks free of her bindings to prevent Ruby from touching the Chaos Heart and jumps on it, then pretty much beats it into submission.
  • Power Gives You Wings: One of the things the transformation grants her is big angel wings.
  • Precision F-Strike: This line from her to Dimentio, which doubles as a Pre-Mortem One-Liner.
Yang: Hey Dimentio. Fuck your prophecy.
  • Screw Destiny: As Dimentio angrily points out, Harmonic Yang's entire existence is pretty much one middle finger to the prophecy stating someone would get corrupted by the Chaos Heart, something she is very happy to embrace.

     The Chaos Heart

The Chaos Heart

  • Artifact of Doom: It's supposed to destroy all worlds and allow the user to corrupt others. Yang, however, changes its mind.
  • Grew Beyond Their Programming: Sensing Yang's desire to protect Ruby from it, as well as her passion for good and heroism, allows the Chaos Heart to grant Yang the power to restore the worlds rather than bring their destruction.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Goes from planning to destroy the world to giving Yang the power to restore it.
  • Sentient Phlebotinum: As it turns out, it's sentient, as shown by Yang speaking to it.
  • What Is This Thing You Call "Love"?: It's baffled by all of Yang's positive emotions at first. However, after long enough with Yang repeatedly punching it, it shifts into wanting to feel these emotions for itself.

What If... Kokoro Was Born In Towa City?

     Towa City Kokoro

Towa City Kokoro

  • Adaptational Backstory Change: This Kokoro was born in Towa City and is a human instead of a Faunus.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Called either "Kokoron" or "Star-Eyes" by Komaru and Toko/Genocide Jack respectively.
  • Amnesiac Hero: She was freed from her brainwashing with Komaru's help... but this resulted in her being left amnesiac as a result. As such, she couldn't remember how she ended up as a Monokuma Kid in the first place or recognize her biological mother upon reuniting with her. Strangely, she seemed to recognize the Warriors of Hope, but couldn't put a thing or two about why she was closely familiar with them.
  • Brainwashed and Crazy: First introduced as a faceless Monokuma Kid brainwashed into doing the Warriors of Hope's bidding. Miraculously, she is freed from it when Komaru safely removes her Monokuma Helmet after it malfunctioned and short-circuited.
  • Curtains Match the Windows: She has dirty blonde hair and golden yellow eyes.
  • Exotic Eye Designs: Has star-shaped irises here. This gives off a hint that she used to be associated with the Warriors of Hope on a personal level, given how they also have different unique variations of this on the Danganronpa characters' normal eye designs.
  • Idiot Hair: Has a small ahoge on top of her head like her fellow protagonists Komaru and Toko.
  • Nice Girl: In spite of her shyness, she's still a sweet and kind-hearted girl without a mean bone in her body.
  • Protectorate: Is seen as this by Komaru and (somewhat) Toko after they rescue her from her brainwashed state. This is helped by the fact that Komaru made a promise to her biological mother that she would take care of her in her place.
  • Shrinking Violet: Like her mainstream counterpart, she's presented as a meek and introverted little girl.
  • Sympathy for the Devil: Despite everything they've done, she couldn't help but feel a measure of sympathy for Masaru and Jataro after witnessing them being beaten up mercilessly by a gang of Monokuma Kids following their defeats, believing that even they did not deserve to suffer a cruel fate like that or an abusive childhood that led them into walking down the dark path they choose to follow.
  • Tagalong Kid: Justified as she has nobody other than Komaru and Toko to look after her after she was freed from her brainwashing as a Monokuma Kid. Despite this, she's shown to be perfectly capable of holding her own in a fight.
  • Thou Shalt Not Kill: Even if they deserve it, she couldn't bring herself to take another human life. She even lampshades this:
"Wh-what?! N-No! I-I would never kill anyone in cold blood even if they deserve it! Honest!"
  • Token Mini-Moe: A cute and innocent-looking elementary school-aged girl who's the third party member of the Ultra Despair Girls. Helped by the fact that she's younger than Komaru Naegi, who's a high school-aged girl, and Toko Fukawa, who's in her late teens to early 20s.
  • Tragic Keepsake: She holds onto Masaru's headphones and Jataro's stitched mask after she witnessed them being taken away and violently beaten up by Monokuma Kids.

     Komaru Naegi

Komaru Naegi

  • Big Sister Instinct: Although not blood-related, she doesn't hesitate to jump into Kokoro's defense in times of serious danger.
  • Cool Big Sis: Presents herself as a protective, kind, and caring surrogate older sister towards Kokoro, similar to how Chelsea was to her Kokoro in the main universe.
  • Idiot Hair: Has one on top of her head like her fellow protagonists Toko and Kokoro.

     Toko Fukawa & Genocide Jack

Toko Fukawa & Genocide Jack

  • Blood Knight: Pretty much so for Genocide Jack.
  • Idiot Hair: Has one on top of her head like her fellow protagonists Komaru and Kokoro.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Her crassness and self-deprecating humor aside, Toko cares a lot about her friends and does what she thinks is best for everyone. She once wasted no time helping Komaru protect Kokoro by preparing to go Genocide Jack over a group of adults who were about to lynch the little girl out of their paranoia.

     Alina Kinokoshi

Alina Kinokoshi

  • Best Friend: With Hiroko Hagakure. Not to mention that she's also her most trusted right-hand woman in the Resistance.
  • It's All My Fault: Unlike the other parents of the Warriors of Hope, she voluntarily owns up to her abuse towards her own child and feels genuine remorse for her actions. She's also worried about the idea of how much her amnesiac daughter will hate her once she fully recovers her memories of her abusive past with her.
  • Mama Bear: Doesn't hesitate to threaten a group of paranoid adults in the Resistance's base with a loaded pistol when they almost tried to lynch her daughter. This parental, heroic act is what causes her to gain her trust along with Komaru and Toko's.
  • Only Sane Woman: One of the most level-headed and reasonable adults in the Resistance other than Hiroko.
  • Oral Fixation: She's always got a lollipop in her mouth, which serves as a healthy replacement for cigarettes given how she used to be a former smoker.
  • Parental Neglect: She once stated to Komaru that there were times when she used to leave Kokoro alone at home to fend for herself just to go out smoking or drinking with her friends following her husband's passing. She also outright admits out of guilt that she doesn't deserve to be a good mother to her daughter anymore because of this.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: She's essentially a grown-up version of her daughter but with wavy dirty brown shoulder-length hair and hazel brown eyes.
  • Troubled Abuser: The grief and sorrow she suffered after her husband died led to her abusing and neglecting her own daughter. She deeply regrets this though.

What If… Kaneshiro Was The CEO of WB (And Started an Uprising)?

     Junya Kaneshiro

Top
