Atop the Fourth Wall LIVE (Atari Force)
  • "Here they come up with new ways for the Jaguar CD to not work."
  • The Situation: A World in Crisis.
Linkara: Early reviews of E.T. for the Atari 2600 just came out.
  • Linkara's various names for Commander Martin Champion a la Mike and the Bots many names for Reb Brown's character in Space Mutiny.
  • This bit involving Linkara and an audience member responding to one of his jokes:
Mission Control: I am ordering you to— SKWAARK
Linkara: Did Mission Control just get attacked by zombies?
Audience Member: No, it's the Ultimate Warrior.
Linkara: No, no. That's a "Skronk".
Audience Member: It's the distant future of 2005. Maybe it changes.
Linkara: Ah! The evolution of "Skronk".
  • Linkara's reaction to the shorts worn by one of the officers at the Peace Keeping Force HQ.
Linkara: (impersonating the officer) Don't worry citizens! My hot pants will save you!
  • "Wait wait wait, she was supposed to be Irish? Crap, now I gotta start over!"
  • An audience member's reaction to the very formally constructed internal monologue of the villain:
Audience Member: Can we do that in English please?
  • Linkara reacting to the fact that the post-apocalyptic setting Atari Force is set in looks way better than the comic describes it.
Linkara: This is the cleanest Armageddon I've ever seen.
  • "Okay, what genius decided to put a claustrophobic man in space?"
  • "So, wait: after the apocalypse, individual businesses and research foundations assume all political control, instead of governments? (Audience member: "Just like now!") Man, this explains so damn much about the Umbrella Corporation."
  • The fact that someone gave Linkara a picket sign to hold up that says "I AM A MAN!"
  • The collective Flat "What" from the audience when Atari assumes control of both NASA and the National Academy of Science.

Return of Atop the Fourth Wall LIVE (Mangaverse Spider-man)
  • The comic features several panels where Linkara is just able to sit back and let the audience's confused/horrified reactions speak for themselves. Probably the best comes from the Hulk's abrupt appearance, where he actually turns to look at the panel as confirmation that it exists while the audience freaks out for fifteen seconds.
    • Particularly when he gets cut off by the audience lauging, such as after being introduced to Japanese Kingpinnote .
    • Every time the audience simply goes "WHAT?!"
  • Mocking Japanese Uncle Ben's Ice Cream Koans. "When you stop at the red light, you truly are going."
    • This one guy yelling in the audience at the beginning of that always makes me laugh:
Random Audience Guy: YOU CREATED A TIME PARADOX!
    • Heck, Random Audience Guy himself gets two more:
      • Upon the appearance of Manga-Hulk:
        "SENSE, THIS COMIC MAKES NONE!"
      • When Manga-Venom reveals Japanese Uncle Ben is his father, he helps continue Linkara's Luke, I Am Your Father joke.
  • When he sees Japanese Peter Parker doing a Skyward Scream:
    • Then immediately cuts to Peter screaming in the middle of class.
Linkara: But since started screaming in the last page, in this one his just going "EEEEEEEEEIIIII!!!", like he's mourning the Fonz.
  • Describing the comic's artist and writer:
Linkara: This comic was written and illustrated by a guy named Kaare Andrews, the writer and artist of a comic named Spider-Man: Reign.
Audience member: (among a Collective Groan) Oh, god!
Linkara: For those unaware, Spider-Man: Reign is essentially The Dark Knight Returns, except Spider-Man instead of Batman. And it's also the story where Mary Jane was killed by Peter Parker's radioactive sperm.
(Massive WTF?! reaction from the audience)
Linkara: I am not kidding at all.
  • Saying that the look of Japanese Uncle Ben makes him think of Rei Hino's grandfather, and how she's probably in the back, practicing her fire chant while Japanese Uncle Ben is being killed by Japanese Venom.
Linkara (as Japanese Uncle Ben): Oh god, he's breaking my neck!
Linkara (as Rei): (falsetto) Busy, grandfather! Ichi, ni, san... (makes hand gestures)
  • "I'm just a meme to you people, aren't I?"
  • "NOW YOU'RE A MAN, A SPIDER, SPIDER MAN!"
  • Linkara singing a snippet of "How Could This Happen To Me?"
  • "[Spider-Man] also has three blades attached to his palm. Say, what's the sound of one hand clapping in Mangaverse Spider-Man? "OH, DEAR GOD, I STABBED MYSELF!""

    Revenge of AT4W Live!
  • "For all these kids know, they're just buying a box with weights inside of it. You know, like the Jaguar CD!"
  • Making the "demonic" Feka employee sympathetic by describing him with an eye condition that is unfairly vilified thanks to Johnny Turbo.
  • "Worst evil demon salesman ever! (audience member shouts "besides Ocean Marketing") Besides Ocean Marketing."
  • Doing a Hulk Hogan impression when Johnny Turbo does a wrestler-esque threat.
  • "Hey gamers! Even though most of my time is spent jackin' up those Feka goons..."
  • He starts by giving the backstory on the Turbo Duo, a system that could run both cartridges and CDs without any add-ons. "And that's a great idea. The problem is how they decided to advertise it." (silently points to the comic as the audience cracks up)
  • All the jabs Linkara makes at himself
  • Someone in the audience asks "Are you a man, or a Muppet?", clearly wanting Linkara to do his "I am a man" meme. But first he does a "puppet arms" routine.
  • "By the way, I couldn't help but notice the lovely skull decorations on this guy's [Feka's tsar] curtains in his office."
  • This interruption:
Linkara: At least I assume you have games. Otherwise, what are you giving those kids for free, blank CDs?
    Audience member: C+C Music Factory!
    Another audience member: Those bastards!
    (Linkara cracks up)
  • "We open at the Feka offices." *starts singing the Imperial March, which encourages the audience to sing along*
  • Linkara commenting on Feka's master plan:
Linkara: Step one — sell game system. Step two — advertise game system to sell more! It's nefarious!
    Audience member: Step 3: Profit!

Curse of Atop the Fourth Wall Live!
  • Senile Grandpa.
  • The Running Gag involving Jounnouchi's comment about how "There's no penalty for stripping."
  • Linkara's reaction to the evil director actually talking about making a Snuff Film out loud, which is then followed by an audience member suggesting that said film should be sent to The Cinema Snob.
  • "Die... I like that word...".
  • The many jokes that the audience contributes.
    • After Linkara describes Season Zero of Yu-Gi-Oh and how it involved Yami enacting murderous revenge on people who wrong Yugi. "you know, for kids!"
Audience Member: Business as usual for Shōnen.
    • When Linkara brings up how Yugi's hands look massive in proportion to the rest of his body.
Audience Member: He's a midget, what do you expect?
    • When Linkara points out how odd it is that the evil director sees a random spiky-haired kid on the street and instantly decides to have him star in his movie.
Audience Member: Give him a part in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie!
    • In reaction to Jounouchi's plan to "unmask" the celebrity who he believes is masquerading as a student at the school:
Audience Member: They're gonna pull a Scooby-Doo on us.
    • When the assistant director uppercuts Yugi for the film.
      Audience Member: SHORYUKEN!!
    • The audience cheering when Yami's about to use dark magic.
  • This line before the game between Yami and the director begins, Linkara's description of what the penalty game would be:
Linkara (as Yami): The game is called "Replace one of your eyes with this die"!
  • The Running Gag of Yugi's nose vanishing.
    • Some of the audience questions from the Q&A held afterwords were pretty funny too.
Audience Member: You have a magic gun, where'd you purchase that, Linkara?

House of Atop The Fourth Wall Live!
  • As per usual, the audience sings along with the theme song, but this time, Linkara plays the full version which leads to a rather awkward moment when Linkara starts singing the second verse while the audience sings the last note of the song.
  • When Linkara points out that the plane was a trap, everyone in the audience goes "It's a trap!"
  • The live version of "Of course! Don't you know anything about science?"
  • The audience joke that left Linkara speechless and blushing.
Audience member: (a character has been strapped to a bed, wearing only his underwear) They're riding his zone! (audience and Linkara start laughing)
    Linkara: ...You win.
  • Then there's this:
Dr Harold Lawrence: Dr Bent, I don't get why we have to make twin clones of Hitler.
  • When the comic shows the Arctic:
Aaand we cut to Canada in the summertime. (Beat) I kid, I kid, it's actually Minnesota in the summertime.
  • His reaction to Overlord's real name being James Bent, then proclaiming that he has one of the greatest campaign slogans ever: Get Bent!
  • "In his obsessive drive to dominate the Earth, that fiend has even enslaved our children!"
    Linkara: Damn you, Justin Bieber!
  • When starting the show:
Linkara: Are you ready to rock?
Random Audience Guy: Batman doesn't want us to!

    Ghost of AT4W Live!
  • At the beginning of the panel, after the Atop the Fourth Wall theme is played, one audience member goes "We love you, Linkara." This is then followed by audience members stating "I like you as a friend." and "I want to have your adopted children."
    Linkara: Sounds like a plan.
  • Linkara's failed attempt to have the audience sing along to the Bulk and Skull Leitmotif, which had him asking them if they even watched Power Rangers.
  • The panel in which the Power Rangers are "flying" towards the giant caterpillar, and Linkara and the audience's reactions to it.
Linkara: (in response to the Pink Ranger bending her body in midair) Did Jim Balent draw this?
  • In summing up the Zarathustra Dimension that Zordon sent the Rangers to:
Linkara: Just wonderful, Zordon sent them to a tentacle hentai dimension. Y'know, I'm starting to think Zordon is kind of a dick.
  • The entire audience being Late to the Punchline on the joke about not having manga footage of Tommy.
  • Linkara speculating that the comic was meant for Rita, and presents his proof by showing Lord Zedd saying he'll make his monster grow. This is followed shortly by someone going "Oh no..." as they know what will happen next. He then throws his staff to the ground, just like Rita did.

    Bride of AT4W Live! (Uzumaki)
  • Just the way he sets up what to expect from the series and this particular story.
  • His outrage over Kirie's apparently forgetting every single thing that has happened in the series so far, reminiscent of the Arbitrary Skepticism rant about Power Rangers Ninja Storm.
"Kirie, have you not been paying attention?! Last week, your hair got POSSESSED BY EVIL AND GOT INTO A HAIR-FIGHT WITH ANOTHER GIRL! DON'T PRETEND THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN!"
  • "The mushrooms... Oh God, the mushrooms."
  • "Ladies and gentlemen, Jump Scare: The Comic."
  • The car crash and the utterly baffling physical result.
  • The extreme audience reaction to a panel with high amounts of Unintentional Uncanny Valley.
    "Rapist!"
    "Burn it!"
  • More audience jokes:
    • When Mitsuru pops out of a trash can:
"It was empty when he went in there."
      • "That's how much dedication he has!"
    • When Mitsuru runs into traffic thinking his love for Kirie will prevent him from getting hit.
"RUN HIM OVER! HE'S WORTH FIFTY POINTS!"
    • In reaction to the jack-in-the-box.
"Happy fun time for all the children!"
  • According to Will and Lewis, Snowflame was considered to appear during the Thing storyline, where he runs in, catches a frisbee, and goes "SNOWFLAME MADE A FRIEND!!" and runs out.
  • Linkara orchestrating a group Face Palm.
  • This bit near the end of the comic:
  • From the Q&A: Moarte's Dr. Manhattan credit card.
  • This bit from the opening pages.
Kirie: "In my school, there was a seventh grader named Mitsuru Yamaguchi. He used to love to jump out and surprise people."
Linkara: "It usually ended with someone's fist in his nose."
    Kirie: "Everyone called him 'Jack-In-The-Box.'"
Linkara: I called him 'Get the hell out of my face, you idiot.'"

     Son of AT4W Live! Transformers # 24
  • The day of the panel, the fire alarm went off at the Gaylord around 7:00AM. This led to a number of tweets suggesting that it was done to get people to attend it.
  • As Optimus Prime is getting the chip out of his brain, which was used for Decepticon espionage, Linkara riffs on how awkward it would get.
Linkara (as Megatron): Yes, Optimus Prime, I will now learn your secret plans to— wait, why are you looking at magazines featuring cars without a chassis? Eww, what's Prime doing with his hands?!?!
  • Linkara humming the Final Fantasy victory music when the Protectobots defeat the two Combaticons in the vine area.
  • When Optimus Prime gets shot in the back after Megatron uses the "Afterdeath" code respawn himself in the game:
Linkara (as Optimus Prime): Damn you, Megatron. You typed in "iddqd".
  • Linkara rant's pertaining to Optimus Prime forfeiting the game (and subsequently getting killed in real life) just because he allowed some NPC's to die when trying to pull himself up after being shot in the back by Megatron.
"THAT'S NOT WHAT CHEATING IS, YOU STUPID TRUCK!!"
  • "Ethan Zachary, press the button on my joystick."
  • Another one courtesy of the audience:
Linkara: That's right: we're gonna resolve the situation by essentially playing player-versus-player on an MMO. I am now envisioning Optimus Prime yelling "No camping!" while Megatron laughs and proclaims "LOL n00b".
    Audience member: And teabagging!
    • This one actually got Linkara to corpse for a while.
      Linkara: He broke me.
  • Linkara pre-empting an obvious joke:
Linkara (as Optimus Prime): I am the one who lost The Game.
Linkara: Don't any of you dare repeat that stupid meme!

Night of AT4W Live! Skate Man

     Day of AT4W LIVE!: Yu-Gi-Oh! Chapter 3
  • The title itself, as Linkara emphasises. Hard Beat. HARD BEAT.
  • Linkara Comically Missing the Point of the translator's note regarding Japanese Pronouns.
  • Linkara's script has the most awesome typo ever: "Solo love show."
  • Linkara referring to Souzouji, the villain in this Yu-Gi-Oh chapter, as "Nega-Tristan" due to his hair cut looking very much like Tristan's.
Linkara: This guy [Souzouji] looked at Tristan's hairstyle and said, "YES! THAT IS MY NEW HAIR CUT!"
  • STARE OF DOOM!!!
  • After a bit where Anzu smacks Jounouchi after he lifted up her skirt to see her panties, an audience member sums up Jounouchi's thought process in just two words: "Worth It".
    • Linkara's response: "For shame..."
    • "There may be no penalty for stripping, but apparently the penalty for skirt lifting is getting punched."
  • When the video starts and Linkara can't get the sound working for the theme song, the crowd sings along with him in its place; doubling as a Heartwarming Moment.
  • When Yami is about to challenge Souzouji to a game, one of the audience members shouts, "It's called Monopoly!"
  • These two lines after Yami says he'll give his life if he loses:
Linkara (as Souzouji): Uhh.. Isn't that a bit extreme?
    Linkara (as Yami): YOLO MOFO!

Dawn of AT4W LIVE! Mangaverse Fantastic Four
  • During the theme song, Linkara can be heard demanding that Doug Walker (who is operating the camera) sings. He responds by singing derisive gibberish.
Theme Song: Linkara, he is a man, punch, wears a Purdy hat.
Doug: (at the same time) Linkara, The Nostalgia Critic is so much better, Linkara...
    • Doug's "Linkara, that's his logo" lyric eventually causes Linkara to crack up during the theme song sing-along.
    • Doug sings the entire first verse as "Linkara, Linkara, Linkara, Linkara," etc.
    • The second time Linkara's name appears in the song prompts this:
      Everyone: Linkara!
      Doug: Spoony...
  • The review opens with Doug's hand operating as a gloveless glove puppet at the camera.
Linkara: Doug, the only people who will see that are the people watching after I put the video up.
Doug (as Chester A. Bum): Hello, internet!
  • Prior to the start of the review Linkara gives a humorous warning about audience members chiming in with their own jokes during the review.
"You are, of course, well within your right to do that, but remember everything said here will be posted online, so if you are not funny, you will be seen being not funny in front of potentially thousands of people. Just sayin."
  • Linkara mentioning how the Fantastic Four already deal with "the bizzare kind of crap that could be in anime or manga": robots, monsters, interdimensional creatures, aliens, mutant mole people, magic, self-serving bunny-cats trying to avert the heat death of the universe... Generic reference, generic reference, generic reference, Incredibly Specific Reference.
  • Linkara's enthusiasm over the concept of putting cheat codes into the universe, hoping for infinite lives and DK Mode for April Fools.
    • Continual jokes about having cheat codes enabled (and video games in general) throughout the review.
  • Taking bets on what's headed for Earth around the moon: Princess Kaguya, the aliens from Independence Day, or Transformers.
    • One audience member suggests it might be the Black Arms.
  • All the Neon Genesis Evangelion references
  • Reed Richard's odd use of terminology, like an old man who thinks he knows what's cool.
  • Pronouncing the censor bars in the comic AS "censor bar."
  • Summing up the Reed Richards of this comic as an a-hole who pulls stuff out of his butt whenever it's convenient. And then saying that they got that part right.
  • After the review, Linkara asks Doug to reposition the camera for the Q&A. Doug responds with several lines about how sexy Linkara's face is.
    • "Oh that face is soo sexy! I MUST zoom in on iiiitt..."
Doug: Check out this awesome sauce-ness! I must zoom in on it!
      Linkara: I know, right?
    • And then Linkara makes a face that makes Doug shout in the same voice that the camera just exploded.
  • During interviews, when Linkara ranted about DC's obsession with dead children, one of the patrons said, "How many children died in YOUR backstory". His response? "Technically, she was already dead when the series started."

Land of AT4W Live: Captain Planet and the Planeteers # 1
  • The first line of the review
Linkara: Aaaaaaaaand here's your Nightmare Fuel! (close-up of Greedly's face)
    Audience: (screams)
  • At the end of the comic, Captain Planet pulls a And Knowing Is Half the Battle and asks the reader to help him save the planet. Many audience members then respond "No!"

Diary of AT4W Live! Godzilla King of the Monsters # 1

Survival of AT4W Live! Mighty Morphing Power Rangers Saga
  • Alpha 5: That didn't go very well, did it?
Linkara (as Zordon): Don't worry Alpha, just wait until they find out I slashed their tires. They aren't going anywhere.

Power of AT 4 W Live!: Pokémon Adventures Ch. 13
  • When Linkara says "If you know anything about internet comment systems, you know what will happen.", someone from the audience shouts "FIRST!"
    • What makes it even funnier is that the audience member who yelled out said joke was Takahata101 of Team Four Star!

Midnight of AT4W Live! Blip Magazine #1: Donkey Kong
  • The timing of the episode's own commercial break.

Planet of Atop the Fourth Wall Live! Star Trek: The Next Generation # 1
  • After Riker scolds himself for trying too hard to look relaxed to Picard:
  • In this comic, Troi is implied to have precognitive powers. Cue one of the attendants yelling "I CAN SEE THE FYOO-CHUR!!!"
  • After Troi suggests bringing Yar on the away team, Linkara snarkily remarks that her Captain Obvious powers are finally put to good use, if only because everyone else is a moron.
  • All the weird characters poses end with Crusher and later, Riker, doing more audacious poses :
Linkara (as Crusher, and later Riker): Oh dear, I seem to have dropped my hyperspray…
  • The growing bafflement of Linkara and the audience about the Enterprise crew refusing to attack in fear of breaking diplomatic negociations, despite having the ship being fired by a death ray twice and having the away team's being threatened by a army and a giant battlewagon.
Linkara (as Riker): That would be a diplomatic faux-pas, if we didn't let them kill us all!
  • When the comic ends in a comedic manner with the aliens that age backwards being on board, contradicting Picard's remark that the diplomatic, Linkara sings a Laugh-In-esque sting.

Destiny of Atop the Fourth Wall Live: Neon Genesis Evangelion: The Shinji Ikari Detective Diary

Resurrection of Atop the Fourth Wall Live:What If... Spider-Man's Clone Had Lived?

Revelation of AT 4 W Live!: Uzumaki Chapter 6: Medusa

    • Saying Spider-Man would never see any money from it because it's a game for the Atari 2600 (as well as more jabs at the Atari).

Time of Atop the Fourth Wall Live! Animinneapolis 2015: Star Trek Manga Vol. 2 Chapter 1
  • Despite the fact that the planet the Enterprise crew lands on is not technologically advanced, the fact that this is a manga story has Linkara still expecting Kirk to fight Escaflowne at some point.
  • The fact that the Red Shirt in the story is named Lt. Arbee results in a Running Gag involving Arby's and its various menu items.
  • The Throw It In! gag where Linkara pretends to be conspiring with an audience member after his phone goes off mid-show.

Victory of AT4W Live! Anime Midwest 2015: Captain N The Game Master # 1
  • The audience groaning at the many fruit and vegetable puns in the first story.
  • "Yes, the truly deadly combination of an eggplant, a boxer, Grizzly Adams, and Donkey Kong interrupted in the middle of his shower! GAZE UPON THE Legion of Doom AND DESPAIR!"
  • When seeing the title of the first story is "The Fruits and Vegetables War", Linkara jokes this will be about a debate on whereas tomatoes are fruits or vegetables... only to find out a few pages later this really is what the plot is about.
  • When one of the fruits make his reports saying "the enemy sunk two of our banana boats, we've run out of cherry bombs, and our strawberries are in a jam", Linkara deduces with horror that they hollowed out the skin of their fellows to make boats, they are using suicide bombers, and their troops have literally been pulverized.
  • When it's revealed Samus Is a Girl:
Linkara (as Princess Lana): Wow, suddenly I'm even more attracted to her!
  • Linkara's repeatedly pointing out the unfortunate implication behind Samus Aran flirting with Kevin, given he's a teenager and she is a grown-up woman.
"And so our comic ends with Samus holding Kevin in a way that clearly shows how much she wanna go to prison."
    • Also, him asking the viewers which intepretation of Samus is worse between "Other M" and "paedophile".

Asylum of AT4W Live! Con Bravo 2015: James Bond Jr. # 6
