Playable Character

    Heroine

Heroine / Protagonist / Main Character ("MC")

  • Action Girl: As a member of H.E.R.A, and eventually a field agent, the main character definitely qualifies.
  • Action Mom: In season 4.
  • Barrier Warrior: Can create protective barriers with her ring.
  • Battle Couple: Guaranteed to have this going on with whoever her romance option is.
  • Feminine Women Can Cook: The main character loves to bake cookies and sweets, especially when she's stressed.
  • God Job: On Hades and Chimera’s routes, she takes over Hera's job duties as goddess, ruling over hearth and family.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: You choose the main character's first and last name.
  • Iconic Item: In every route, she has a ring that can create barriers to protect her. In season 3, you find out that the ring is necessary to be able to bring Hera back.
  • In the Blood: The heroine's mother passed on the capability to be Hera to her daughter.
  • Legacy Character: To her mom, who had the capacity to become Hera, and chose not to.
  • Lineage Comes from the Father: Averted. It's the heroine's mother who she takes after, and her mother who passed on the capacity to become Hera.
  • Married to the Job: At the beginning of several different routes, she states that she's too busy with her job to date.
  • Post-Stress Overeating: Not so much overeating, but the heroine has the tendency to bake massive amounts of cookies and sweets when she's stressed.
  • Screw Destiny: Her attitude on Astraeus' route.
  • Secret Legacy: The protagonist's mother had the potential to become Hera and never told her daughter.
  • Workaholic: Is one of these on all routes. Says that she was always too busy with work to date, and takes her job very seriously.

Love Interests

    In General
  • Action Dad/Action Mom: All the love interests in season 4.
  • Adaptational Attractiveness: Fittingly for a romance game. All of the mythological monsters in this game are extremely attractive, even ones that are supposed to be hideous like Hydra and Chimera. Justified in that their traditional appearances are relegated to their auras.
  • Battle Aura: All of the love interests have some type of Aura they activate when using their powers.
  • Divine Date: If you choose Hades.
  • Hot God: Hades, obviously.
  • Office Romance: Given that you're assigned to all the love interest's cases except for Astraeus, their romances end up as this.
  • Our Monsters Are Different: Definitely some of this going on. The monsters in this game look human, but have otherwordly Auras that they activate to use their powers. They're all from classical Greek and Roman mythology.

    Alex Cyprin

Alex Cyprin

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cyprin_6.png

Alex Cyprin is your supervisor at H.E.R.A. and long-term friend. They are a demigod and child of Aphrodite, goddess of love. They are non-binary and prefer pronouns of "they" and "them."

  • Benevolent Boss: On all routes, Cyprin is a boss that cares about the protagonist and tries to help her in whatever way they can.
  • Break Her Heart to Save Her: Tries to do this to the protagonist on their route, without must success. They think that being with the protagonist will end up getting her hurt.
  • Childhood Friends: Minor example. The protagonist has known Cyprin since she was 13, and Cyprin was 18. It's stated that she even had a crush on them.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: It’s implied in the routes other than their own And in Medusa’s outright shown that they have feelings for the protagonist but generally are supportive and happy for her in the respective relationships.
  • The Marvelous Deer: Their aura is a doe and stag.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Cyprin is definitely this. On all routes, they're open to the protagonist's ideas and thoughts, and tries to cover for her as much as they can.
  • Semi-Divine: Cyprin is a demigod, with their mother being Aphrodite.
  • Sleeping with the Boss: Since Cyprin is your boss at H.E.R.A, their route definitely falls under this.

    Astraeus

Astraeus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/astraeus_7.png
Astraeus is one of the Titans banished to Tartarus by the Top Tier Gods. His goal is to banish the gods and retake Olympus for the Titans.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Calls the main character "blossom", and later on, "wildflower."
  • Arch-Enemy: To Hades in his own route.
  • Cherry Blossoms: His aura is this.
  • Dating Catwoman: Astraeus is the villain in Hades' route on several occasions, and gets his own route in season 3.
  • Delighting in Riddles: Very much this. Astraeus constantly talks in metaphors, to the point that the MC snaps at him to speak plain English during his route.
  • Fighting for a Homeland: Main motivation for Astraeus and the other Titans. They want to rule Olympus again.
  • Fill It with Flowers: Fittingly for a character associated with flowers, he has a tree growing in his house. In Tartarus. Where plants die and can't grow.
  • Flower Motifs: His Aura is cherry blossom petals. This frequently signifies to the main character that he's nearby.
  • Handicapped Badass: Has pain and trouble breathing due to an illness, but still manages to kick major ass.
  • Hot-Blooded: Astraeus is definitely this. He's loud and passionate, and throws himself into battle happily.
  • Jerkass Gods: Firmly believes the gods are this.
  • Katanas Are Just Better: Astraeus uses one of these to fight.
  • Keet: Very much so in his own route. Having spent most of his life in Tartarus, he gets really excited about a lot of mundane things, such as flower pots or karaoke.
  • Instant Costume Change: Can summon his armor and katana. He can switch between them and street clothes at will.
  • I Want My Beloved to Be Happy: Has shades of this. He was content simply being near her because Hades made her happy. Also says that although he loathes Hades, if he can't give her happiness and Hades can... it would be his own failure.
  • Day Hurts Dark-Adjusted Eyes: Although not as much since he's been on Earth for a while. Tartarus is so dark that that Titans get used to it and can see in the dark.
  • Luminescent Blush: Has moments of this on his route.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: Mentions that he finds beauty in the grotesque, and that the most terrible things can be beautiful.
  • "Not So Different" Remark: With Hades. Admits that he can't claim to be any better than him, since they have the same selfish blood.
  • Stalker with a Crush: He's this to the main character in Hades' route. Develops an obsession with her almost immediately and tries to kidnap her on several occasions.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Astraeus and the other Titans suffer from this. They were exiled to Tartarus and can no longer live on Olympus.
  • Villain of Another Story: He's the villain in several seasons of Hades' route, but gets his own route in Season 3.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: Has this going on with Selene and Helios in his own route.
  • Warrior Poet: Astraeus is definitely one of these. Was trained as a warrior since he was young, but also loves poetry.
  • Working Through the Cold: He has an illness related to being on Earth, but still braves going to Earth to save and help out the MC.

    Cerberus

Cerberus

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cerberus.png
Cerberus is one of the godly monsters in charge of guarding the Gates to the Underworld. He works for Hades, along with Orthus and Nemean.
  • Abusive Parents: The mother of Cerberus and his brothers was outright stated to have been this, with Cerberus deliberately drawing her attention so she wouldn't hurt his younger siblings as much.
  • Angry Guard Dog: When his brothers or the heroine is threatened.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Has this towards Nemean and Orthus. He loves his brothers and tries to protect them at all times. Including from their own mother.
  • Big Eater: And how. Eats three plates of pancakes each stacked three pancakes tall, and an entire plate of bacon. The protagonist even mentions that she should have made 4 or 5 more pizzas when feeding him and his two brothers.
  • Big Friendly Dog: For being Cerberus, he is surprisingly a very friendly guy.
  • Gate Guardian: Guards one of the Gates of the Underworld for Hades.
  • Healing Factor: Has one of these. Implies that he'll heal from being gouged with claws on the way to a crime scene.
  • Hell Hound: His aura is a 3 headed hell hound.
  • Nice Guy: Is an extremely friendly, genuinely nice guy despite being the guardian to a gate to the underworld.
  • Scenery Censor: One of his CGs has him standing naked with a conveniently placed bowl of fruit and bananas.
  • They Have the Scent!: He can track someone by their aura. Fitting for Cerberus.

    Chimera

Chimera

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/chimera_5.png
Chimera is a godly monster with a hybrid Aura.
  • The Ace: As a way to distract himself, he has tons of hobbies and interests including painting and cooking. He's apparently pretty good at most of them. The MC even mentions his paintings are good enough that he could sell them.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Asks the MC to call him Chris instead of Chimera.
  • Calling the Old Man Out: Chimera has a moment of this on his route.
  • The Charmer: Is very much a flirt, particularly with the MC.
  • Color Motif: Favorite color is green, has green eyes, and his Aura is green. He even wears green on his route a lot.
  • Dance of Romance: Has one of these on his route, plus one of his CGs is him dancing with the MC.
  • Guilty Pleasure: Loves watching trashy reality TV with the MC at her apartment.
  • Helicopter Parents: Chimera's father Typhon has this problem with his son. A big part of Chimera's route is to get away from his father's expectations for him.
  • Hybrid Power: Fittingly, Chimera has this. His aura is a lion, a goat, and a snake.
  • I Am a Monster: Chimera believes this about himself.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Chimera hates his hybrid aura, and wishes he was simply normal.
  • Mix-and-Match Critter: Being Chimera, his aura is this.
  • Nice Guy: Chimera is genuinely a nice guy who is simply trying to live a normal life.

    Hades

Hades

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hades_7.png
Hades is the god of the Underworld and one of the 12 Top Tier Gods of Olympus. His niece is Persephone, and his brothers are Zeus and Poseidon. His Aura is a Reaper that can control darkness.
  • Break His Heart to Save Him: Does this to the MC by breaking up their engagement in season 3, in order to keep the Top Tier Gods from having a reason for making her into Hera.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Hades is the god of the Underworld, and his Aura is one of dark energy usually taking the form of a colossal skeletal figure. Nevertheless, he is a consummate gentleman and a Reasonable Authority Figure who often seems to be one of the only major Olympians to have his head screwed on all the way straight.
  • Everybody Hates Hades: Averted. Hades is actually one of the most reasonable Top Tier Gods, and actually quite nice and professional.
  • The Grim Reaper: He is the god of the underworld. His Aura also takes the form of a reaper.
  • Mystical White Hair: Hades has this going for him, with purple highlights.
  • Physical God: Well, yes. He is Hades, after all.
  • Psychopomp: Being Hades, he is definitely this. It's mentioned that he has the power to guide souls into the underworld.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Hades is one of the most powerful of the gods and by far the most powerful of the game's possible love interests. His Aura, fittingly, is purple in color, and he also has Purple Eyes.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: As mentioned, Hades is by far the most cool-headed and reasonable gods in the main Olympian pantheon. In Hydra's best ending, one gets the impression that much of the trouble could have been avoided had someone gone to Hades about the villain's misdeeds sooner; when he finally does hear what Hydra and the protagonist have to say, he takes it very seriously.
  • The Sacred Darkness: Hades can control shadows to some extent.
  • Sleeping with the Boss: Hades starts out as your boss on the case you're accepting, making his route this.
  • Tall, Dark, and Handsome: Being the god of the underworld, Hades is definitely this.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Not so much his favorite food, but it's mentioned on his route that pomegranates represent Hades.
  • Unequal Pairing: Hades and the MC definitely have this kind of relationship. He starts out as her boss, plus he's a god and she's simply a human. It's no longer the case as of the end of his third season, which sees the protagonist assume the powers and position of Hera.
  • Villain of Another Story: Starts out with his own route, but becomes a villain in Astraeus' story.
  • Workaholic: Hades, in keeping with his classical depiction as the most serious of the gods, spends most of his time working. At one point in his route, the protagonist brings him dinner only to find him asleep at his desk, and from what Persephone says this is far from an uncommon occurrence.

    Hydra

Hydra

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hydra_9.png
Hydra is a godly monster who is working to prove a case against Hercules, son of Zeus. His Aura is a five headed serpent.
  • Action Dad: Becomes this in season 4.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Calls the MC "wisp" or "little wisp"
  • Animal Motifs: Being Hydra, his animal is appropriately the snake.
  • Belligerent Sexual Tension: So much of this on Hydra's route.
  • Break His Heart to Save Him: Attempts to do this to MC in his route.
  • Brought Down to Normal: Hydra has his aura stripped at the end of his season 1 in order to protect the heroine. He gets it back before the end of the season, however.
  • Chained Heat: This occurs at the beginning of his main story. The heroine tries to handcuff him to slow him down and stop him from escaping jail. It barely even slows him down, as he just ends up dragging her along with him.
  • Charm Person: Has this as a power. He can look someone in the eyes and hypnotize them.
  • Determinator: Hydra definitely qualifies as this. He refuses to stop hunting Hercules even after he's almost killed and thrown into jail.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Has a small scar above his heart where Hercules tried to kill him.
  • Hypnotic Eyes: Hydra has these. He uses them several times in his story, including on the MC to get out of his cage.
  • Jedi Mind Trick: Does one of these to the heroine in order to distract her and get out of prison.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Hydra is definitely this. Starts out being cold to the MC and tries to push her away from helping, but honestly cares about justice and doing what's right.
  • Multi-Armed Multitasking: The first we see of him at the start of his Lost Kisses route, Hydra is using his five-headed serpent Aura to help him multitask while working at his desk. One of the snake heads has a pen in its mouth taking notes, one is rummaging in a file cabinet, and one of them is feeding him bites of Chinese food with a pair of chopsticks.
  • Pretty Boy: He is more delicate-looking compared to the other men, with longer hair and less defined musculature.
  • Scars Are Forever: Is asked by the heroine why he didn't get his scar fixed, and he answers that he wanted to remember.
  • Scar Survey: One of these happens on his route when he walks out shirtless from the shower, right before they kiss for the first time.
  • Shipper on Deck: Implied with Hydra's proposal. He enlists his friends Eryn, Ladon, and Megara to help him propose to the MC. Their dialogue implies they're pretty amused by the situation.
  • Smug Snake: Has a bit of this going on. He's very confident to the point of arrogance, and smirks a lot. His aura is also a literal snake.
  • Snakes Are Sexy: Being Hydra and a romance option, he definitely qualifies as this.
  • Snakes Are Sinister: Averted. Hydra's aura is a five headed snake, but he's not not evil. A bit of a jerk maybe, but not evil.
  • Sweet Tooth: Has a bit of this going on. He loves cookies, ice cream, and the MC's homemade macarons.
  • Trademark Favorite Food: Macarons. Loves them to the point that the MC learns how to make them for him.

    Medusa

Medusa

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/medusa.png
Medusa is one of the godly monsters who is a former crime boss. She is a Gorgon without her Aura. She is attempting to stop a gang war between her Gorgon sisters.
  • Action Girl: Comes with being a Gorgon and a former crime boss.
  • Amazon Brigade: Her and her sisters count as this, and so do her lieutenants.
  • Badass Bookworm: Medusa is definitely this. Can definitely hold her own in a fight, but also owns a bookstore and loves to read.
  • Gay Option: Medusa is a romance option.
  • Gorgeous Gorgon: Being a gorgon and a love interest, Medusa is obviously this.
  • Hot Librarian: Owns her own bookstore.
  • Iron Lady: To her subordinates when she was ruling as a crime boss.
  • Lady of War: Medusa counts at this. She's quiet and soft spoken, but you do NOT want to cross her in battle.
  • Medusa: Does this even need to be explained?
  • Mob War: A large part of Medusa's season 1 storyline.
  • Nature Lover: Has a huge garden at her house that she takes care of.
  • Pegasus: Her Aura is this.
  • The Quiet One: Starts out being this. Another character describes her as not wasting words.
  • Statuesque Stunner: She's 5'10", according to her character profile.
  • Taken for Granite: Medusa has this as a power.
  • Youngest Child Wins: Is the youngest and the strongest of the gorgon sisters.

Others

    Minor Characters

  • Best Friend: Obviously.
  • Shipper on Deck: Usually takes this stance on every route, depending on who you're romancing.
  • True Companions: Very much this to the MC. Will go out of her way to help her any way she can.
