WTFMate is a very small, very confused child sitting in a dark corner with a large bloody knife. How the knife got this way is anyone's guess and only adds to the poor child's confusion.
This Troper contains examples of:
- Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!!: Sometimes...
- Author Appeal: Twincest, Elegant Gothic Lolita, genetic engineering, Victorian London...
- Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: With her natural hair colour, fits this scheme pretty well with her sisters.
- Brilliant, but Lazy: Was actually described this way by a teacher.
- Chromatic Arrangement: Is usually represented amongst her sisters with the colour red (her sisters being green and blue). She's nowhere near the leader, though. Her and her sisters favourite colours just happened to work out that way.
- Cloud Cuckoolander: To the point where friends become nervous if she starts acting "normal".
- Cosplay Otaku Girl: Allen Walker, Rinoa, Ichiru Kiryu and a Joshikousei to date.
- Creepy Child: Prompting many friends to quote, 'You're creeeeeepy, Zim.'.
- Deadpan Snarker: Staple of her comedic routine.
- Ditzy Genius: Has been considered highly intelligent from a very young age. Would never know this by talking to her.
- Dojikko: Falls, trips, runs into things, etc., etc. on a pretty regular basis.
- Goggles Do Nothing: No, they do not. She wishes you would stop asking about them.
- Grammar Nazi: Oh, so very much so...
- Green Eyes
- Meganekko: When she's not wearing contacts.
- Most Fanfic Writers Are Girls
- Most Writers Are Male: Subverted.
- Nice Hat: Frequently sports a very nice hat.
- Nightmare Fetishist: Only realised recently she is one.
- Nightmare Fuel Station Attendant: On occasion.
- Otaku
- Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Naturally!
- Perky Goth: Morbid interests? You bet! All-around upbeat personality? To the point where it's disturbing...
- "Romantic" Two-Girl Friendship: More like Romantic Three Girl Friendship but...
- Yaoi Fangirl: And how!
- You Gotta Have Blue Hair: When she doesn't have to appear "normal". Still, tries to sneak blue hair dye in with the black to give it a slightly "unnatural" feel.
A Cyberpunk / Bio Punk trilogy in the works.
Many decades ago, the Gaea Cooperation rose to power, promising the dying planet of Airith a bright new future. Their word was not kept, and now the world is in a worse state than ever, with all life on the brink of a mass extinction. Storm, a mysterious loner, is hell-bent on sabotaging this ruling power single-handedly, but not for the reason expected. That all changes when a run-in with an unusual girl brings him to the underground world of rebellion. He soon finds himself involved with the Resistance, the leading faction regarding dismantling the Cooperation before it can drain Airith of life completely. However, all is not as it seems and corruption may run deeper than anyone ever imagined. Now, Storm must fight in a war he wanted no part in and face a past he wanted to forget forever.
The Airithian Trilogy provides examples of:
- Aerith and Bob: Names like Omar and Isaiah alongside names like Taex and Jax
- Afraid of Needles: Storm, thanks to the years of experimentation performed on him during his years at Gaea Corp.
- Action Girl: Most, if not all the girls in the series.
- Artificial Human: Storm and Rain
- Badass Abnormal: Storm and Rain
- Bald Black Leader Guy: The Boss and later, Omar.
- Big Bad: Rain. President Conrad only THINKS he's running the show...
- Big Brother Instinct: Isaiah towards Clarity.
- Bio-Augmentation: Attempted by Gaea Corp., but it failed miserably. The reason being average lifeforms are unable to handle contact with the Current in its purest form. Only direct descendants of the Guardians, humans born directly of the Current, can survive being exposed to it for long periods of time. Project Rainstorm was an attempt to lab-create Guardians.
- Bio Punk / Cyberpunk
- Black-and-Grey Morality
- Boobs Of Steel: Tsuki and Momoko
- The Captain: Jax, while not The Hero, certainly qualifies as this.
- Corrupt Corporate Executive: President Conrad
- Cool Airship: The Bronze Phoenix
- Dead Little Sister: Ceres acts as this for Storm.
- Deadpan Snarker: Storm and Isaiah, but other characters get their moments, too.
- Doesn't Like Guns: Storm
- Dying Race: The Guardians. Barely any remnants of their culture remain and even the descendants still living don't even recall what they are.
- Elaborate Underground Base: The Resistance has one of these.
- Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": The Boss, who's the leader of the Resistance
- Fiery Redhead: Clarity
- Fire-Forged Friends: Storm and Isaiah
- Gaia's Lament
- Genetic Engineering Is the New Nuke: Except it doesn't work
- Green Aesop: ...Guilty.
- Guns Akimbo: Clarity's weapon of choice
- Heroes Want Redheads
- Heroes Prefer Swords: Villains do, too, apparently.
- Heroic Sacrifice: Taex. Ceres, too, before the beginning of the story.
- Human Aliens: The Druns, Jax species
- Human Subspecies: The Guardians
- Ineffectual Loner: Storm. He never really grows out of it.
- Instant Awesome, Just Add Ninja: Tsuki and Momoko
- La Résistance: The Resistance
- Last of Their Kind: Clarity and Isaiah, to an extent
- The Lifestream: The Current
- Lipstick Lesbian: Roxie
- Manic Pixie Dream Girl: Clarity for Storm
- MegaCorp: Gaea Cooperation
- Mr. Fixit: Isaiah
- Non-Action Guy: Taex
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Roxie. Real name is Roxanne.
- Playful Hacker: Taex
- Playing with Syringes: Why Storm is afraid of needles.
- The Pollyanna: Clarity. Or so she seems...
- Power Degeneration: Rain is showing signs of this, and implies Storm may be subjected to it as well if a cure isn't found.
- Psychic Link: Jax and Sox share one. It's been done between their two species for ages.
- Reluctant Mad Scientist: Alec
- Robot Girl: Jenelle
- Sickeningly Sweethearts: Taex and Tsuki
- Theme Naming: Rain and Storm. So named because they were the first successful Artificial Humans created by Project Rainstorm.
- Team Dad: Omar
- Team Mom: Roxie
- Voluntary Shapeshifting: Sox is capable of this, as well as the rest of his species.
- White-Haired Pretty Boy: Rain and Isaiah
- Wutai: Morishima
Lamaze Class
A Slice of Life Bleach X Vampire Knight crossover RPG WTFMate started October 6th, 2009 with her older sister based on a dream and subsequent half-finished fanfic WTFMate had/began.
Brief Summary: Ichiru Kiryu, after losing his lover, Zero, to an accident, discovers he's pregnant with Zero's children. Having nowhere else to go, the teenager is taken in by Love Aikawa and his own boyfriend, Rose Otoribashi, who have a daughter of their own. Together, they face the trials and tribulations of love, parenthood, friendship, and simply life.
Also, just pretty much caters to the fantasies of two fangirls with very little self-respect, but wicked writing skills.
Warning: Contains mpreg, twincest, yaoi, necrophilia (only in the most technical sense), and shameless fangirl fodder.
The following characters are merely the kids (resulting from the aformentioned mpreg) that WTFMate invented.
Rei Kiryu
The eldest of the Kiryu children. Rei was named for his father, Zero, but resembles him very little in terms of personality. He can be a bit... dim, but is a generally well-meaning and cheerful lad. However, he's also an incorrigible prankster.
- Berserk Button: Do not bad-mouth his family. It may be the last thing you ever do.
- Belligerent Sexual Tension: With Miku later in life.
- Big Brother Instinct: Would fight to the death for any one of his siblings. Even Shizue.
- Bishounen: As a teenager/adult.
- Boisterous Bruiser: More as a kid than as an adult.
- Book Dumb: Rei... is not bright.
- Chaotic Good
- Cheerful Child
- Class Clown: Part of his Book Dumb persona.
- Cute Shotaro Boy: As a kid.
- Dead Guy Junior: Literally at first, then in merely a technical sense.
- Different as Night and Day: With his twin brother, Ren.
- Emotion Control: Has this as a special ability, but never uses it.
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampire: Lives in a whole family made up of these.
- The Gunslinger: As an adult, following in his father's footsteps.
- The Hero: Likes to think of himself as this.
- Idiot Hero: Actually leans more towards this.
- Hot-Blooded: Oh, yes.
- My Hero, Zero: Rei means "zero".
- Not Blood Siblings: Or rather, blood cousins. Rei isn't related to Miku in any way but proximity.
- Oblivious to Love: Well, actually, he's just oblivious.
- The Prankster: Along with his partner-in-crime, Miku.
- Purple Eyes
- Someone to Remember Him By: Rei and his brother are viewed this way by their mother at first.
- Theme Twin Naming
- Took a Level in Badass: Becomes slightly more serious and badass as he grows up.
- Tsundere: Displays some qualities of this.
- Twin Telepathy: With Ren, to a degree.
- Two Guys and a Girl: With his brother and their cousin, Miku.
- Vitriolic Best Buds: With Miku before the Belligerent Sexual Tension set in.
- "Well Done, Son" Guy: Can be almost purely motivated by his desire to make his dad proud of him.
- White-Haired Pretty Boy: It runs in the family.
Ren Kiryu
The second-born Kiryu child and the youngest son. Ren is a usually quiet, unassuming boy with a genius IQ who seems to naturally attract horrible things. If given the choice, he would rather not get involved in, well, anything, but his cousin and brother see fit to drag him along anyway.
- Afraid of Blood: Faints at the sight of it.
- Badass Bookworm: Is totally capable of being this.
- Badass Labcoat: Does become this as an adult.
- Beware the Nice Ones: He sort of... snaps sometime during his adolescence.
- Bishounen: As a teenager/adult.
- The Chew Toy: Wasn't actually originally designated as this.
- Child Prodigy / Teen Genius
- Cloud Cuckoolander: Occasionally comes off this way.
- Cute Shotaro Boy: As a kid.
- Different as Night and Day: With his twin brother, Rei.
- Ditzy Genius: Is probably the smartest of the Kiryu siblings. Has little to no social skills.
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampire
- Funny Schizophrenia: Well, later in life, anyway. When Ren is first diagnosed, it's anything but funny.
- Mad Scientist: Comes with jokes about how there was no way he could be anything else.
- Martial Pacifist: Prefers not to fight, as he's afraid of being hit, but will if pressed.
- Meganekko: Why on Earth would a vampire need glasses? Because it's adorable, that's why!
- Moe: Arguably his entire purpose.
- Momma's Boy: So much so he's actually afraid of his father.
- Neutral Good
- Omnidisciplinary Scientist: When one is a science freak and has a ridiculously long lifespan, this is the result.
- Purple Eyes
- The Quiet One
- Security Blanket: His stuffed frog, Kero.
- Shrinking Violet: A rare male example.
- Someone to Remember Him By: Ren and his brother were thought of this way by their mother at first.
- Theme Twin Naming
- Took a Level in Badass: As an adult.
- Twin Telepathy: With Rei, to a degree.
- Two Guys and a Girl: With his twin brother and their cousin, Miku.
- White-Haired Pretty Boy
Shizue Kiryu
The third of the Kiryu siblings and the eldest daughter. Shizue alone resembles her father in personality, which also probably explains why they get along so well. Deadpan and borderline emotionless, she shares Ren's intelligence but none of his social anxieties. She simply doesn't like people. Rei, in particular.
- Brother–Sister Incest: May or may not have feelings for her older brother, Ren.
- Companion Cube: Treats her stuffed spider toy, Kumo, as though he's an actual living being. And he just might be.
- Creepy Child: Comes off like this to some.
- Cute Witch: Your Mileage May Vary on how much is cute and how much is just plain creepy.
- Daddy's Girl: Is extremely attached to Zero.
- Dead Guy Junior: Shizue is named for the only woman her mother loved, Shizuka.
- Death Dealer: Her weapon of choice are her Tarot cards.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: Has a tendency to dress in this style.
- Little Miss Snarker: Gets it from her parents. Yes, both of them.
- Loners Are Freaks: Is thought of this way by her peers.
- Emotionless Girl: Shizue acts like this most of the time...
- Father, I Want to Marry My Brother: Truly believed she was going to marry Ren someday as a child.
- Friendly Neighbourhood Vampire
- Kuudere: ...But she has her softer side, especially when it comes to Ren and later on, Kyoshi.
- Purple Eyes
- Sibling Rivalry: A somewhat extreme version with Rei.
- Tarot Motifs: Is often seen reading Tarot cards. She also sometimes employs them as weapons.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: The girly girl to her younger sister's tomboy.
- Toy Ship: With her cousin, Kyoshi.
- True Neutral
- Waif Prophet: Has the power of foresight.
- White-Haired Pretty Girl
- Wise Beyond Their Years: Is most likely the most mature member of her family.
Yukiko Kiryu
The youngest of the Kiryu children. Yukiko is the result of a wild night of jello shots and Twister and is well aware of it, not that it particularly bothers her. There being such a large age gap in between her and her other siblings, Yukiko (or Yuu, as she likes to be known) has the benefit of understanding what it's like to be an only child while still being the baby of the family.
- Berserk Button: Seriously, don't call her Yukiko.
- Chaotic Good
- Does Not Like Shoes: Prefers to go barefoot, although she will occasionally wear loose socks.
- Do Not Call Me "Paul": Hates her real name because she thinks it's too girly. She prefers to be called Yuu.
- Genki Girl: To offset her sister's Emotionless Girl.
- Girlish Pigtails: Yuu tends to sport these.
- Green Thumb: A power she inherited from her father.
- Meaningful Name: Yuu was named for the only woman her father ever loved. Unfortunately, she met the woman, and she hates her.
- Nature Hero: Spends a lot of time outdoors and tries to bring it inside with her, as well.
- Only Known by Their Nickname: Not even Yuu's parents call her Yukiko.
- Plucky Girl
- Purple Eyes
- Spoiled Brat: Sometimes acts this way by virtue of being the baby of the family.
- Tomboy and Girly Girl: Yuu's the tomboy to her older sister's girly girl.
- White-Haired Pretty Girl
