Touhou Baseball in Heat Star 2007 Character Page

This is a list of characters who show up in Touhou Baseball In Heat Star 2007. Due to being a Fan Vid of Touhou Project, any derivative examples that apply to the character in canon by default should be placed in their respective character pages. Unless noted otherwise, the characters Leitmotif are the same in the main series.

Pitchers introduced in Touhou Baseball In Heat Star 2007

Alice Margatroid

Position: Relief Pitcher

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7_alice.jpg
Affiliated Team: Gensyoko Turtles
Jersey Number: 7
Throws/Bats: Right/Right
Stats: Pitch Speed: E | Pitch Change: A | Breaking Ball movement: C | Pitch Control: S
Stamina: C | Recovery: Fast | Mound Courage: D | Pick-off: B | Defense: F | Shoulder Strength: C
Breaking Ball types: Slider (Horizontal and Vertical), Knuckle Curve, Shakeball, Sinker, Circle Changeup, Shootball

Alice, the Seven-colored Puppeteer, is the manager and leading coach of Gensyoko Turtles, and the main character of the original series. She is the first to find out about the "Ball Game Incident" which started with a stadium suddenly appearing in Gensyoko, nearby of Hakurei Shrine.

  • Ascended Extra: While she is fairly important character, at least in the earlier Windows Touhou Project games, here, she takes over the main character role for herself.
  • Confusion Fu: She has seven kind of pitches, more than any other pitcher in the video series.
  • Leitmotif: In addition to "Doll Judgment" as her (default) batting scoring chance / pitching pinch theme, she has another theme: "The Grimoire of Alice", which plays during the final match of the original season, in the final inning, when she takes everything to finish all that she started for the team's series championship.
  • Rule of Seven: Her jersey number is 7, she has 7 breaking pitches (the most of all the Touhou characters in this series), and she ocassionally substitutes in as a relief pitcher in the 7th inning.
  • The Leader: She is the manager of Gensyoko Turtles team, and is basically the face of the team.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Slow pitching speed and not so much of movement in breaking balls, yet she has seven different kinds of breaking balls that she makes use of to outwit batters.

Marisa Kirisame

Position: Starting Pitcher

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7_marisa.jpg

Affiliated Team: Gensyoko Turtles
Jersey Number: 1
Throws/Bats: Left/Left
Stats (Pitching): Pitch Speed: A | Pitch Change: C | Breaking Ball movement: A | Pitch Control: C
Stamina: B | Recovery: Fast | Mound Courage: A | Pick-off: D | Defense: C | Shoulder Strength: B
Stats (Batting): Contact: D (11) | Power: S (26) | Competitiveness: A (23) | Bunt: E (5) | Batting Eye: D
VS Right-hand Pitchers: C | VS Left-Hand Pitchers: C | Running Speed: B (17) | Base Stealing: S (27)
Breaking Ball types: Splitter, Curveball, Cutter, Two-Seam

Marisa, the Ordinary Magician, is Gensyoko Turtle's acting manager and assistant coach. She's notable for preferring aggressive strategies during matches.

  • Demoted to Extra: Heavily downplayed, as she's only merely reduced into the deuteragonist while Alice took over the main character spot.
  • Glass Cannon: A notable pitcher version of this, as she's prone to walking batters or allowing hits (on a spoonful of ocassions), but also a strong hitter in batting. How strong? She can hit home runs.
  • The Lancer: As the acting manager of Turtles, she plays this role to Alice, which also fits with the fanon's view of the ship of the both of them.
  • Leitmotif: In addition to "Love-Colored Master Spark" as her (default) batting scoring chance theme (as well as when about to finish the game with a victory in the 9th inning), she also has "Casket of Star" as her pitching pinch theme.
  • Powerful, but Inaccurate: She's on par with Flandre in hitting power, but also lacks the accuracy to properly make contact with the pitches when swinging.
  • Signature Move: Master Spark, a Two-Seam with a max speed of 160 km/h (99mph).
  • The Red Mage: Sports game example - She has great capabilities at times in pitching, and also performs well at batting despite her ocassional inconsistent flaws at both.
  • Violation of Common Sense: By focusing more on the offense and batting despite being a pitcher, she actually can perform very well on games without the DH (Designated Hitter) rule.

Reimu Hakurei

Position: Starting Pitcher (original) → Closing Pitcher (EX)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7_reimu.jpg

Affilated Team: Gensyoko Turtles
Jersey Number: 06
Throws/Bats: Right/Right
Stats (Pitching): Pitch Speed: C | Pitch Change: A | Breaking Ball movement: B | Pitch Control: B
Stamina: B | Recovery: Normal | Mound Courage: B | Pick-off: B | Defense: A | Shoulder Strength: B
Stats (Batting): Contact: D (11) | Power: E (8) | Competitiveness: S (27) | Bunt: C (14) | Batting Eye: B
VS Right-hand Pitchers: C | VS Left-hand Pitchers: C | Running Speed: D (10) | Base Stealing: E (5)
Breaking Ball types: Slider (Horizontal), Slow Curve, Forkball, Shootball///

Reimu, the Shrine Maiden of Paradise, is one of the pitchers of Gensyoko Turtles, and also the bullpen coach. As a main character, she's naturally one of the higher-end players.

  • The Ace: Played for Laughs and Zig-zagged., both in the description of her character profile in the series, and from reactions. Though it seems to be an exaggeration, she's actually one of the better starting pitchers and can earn wins, albeit sometimes she... doesn't always perform that well. From EX onwards, she does the same job as before, except with earning saves as a Closing Pitcher instead.
  • Demoted to Extra: Downplayed. She's now one of the co-deuteragonists, along with Marisa, in order to make way for Alice as the main character of this series.
  • Jack of All Stats: The ex-main character still has good all-around stats even in a Touhou Project fan-made sports spin-off. Her pitch speed is slightly lower, but is still within the balanced pitcher stats overall.
  • Signature Move: Fantasy Seal, a Forkball with S-rank breaking and sharpness.

Eirin Yagokoro

Position: Starting Pitcher

Aya Shameimaru

Position: Outfielder

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7ex_aya.jpg
Aya's potrait as of TBHS7EX

Affiliated Team: Gensyoko Turtles (original only), Moriya Frogs (as of EX)
Jersey Number: 36
Throws/Bats: Left/Left
Stats: Contact: B (20) | Power: D (12) | Competitiveness: D (12) | Bunt: B (19) | Batting Eye: B
VS Right-hand Pitchers : B | VS Left-Hand Pitchers : C | Arm Strength: B (17) | Running Speed: S (29) | Base Stealing: S (27)\\
Fielding defensive ability: Outfielder: S (27)

Aya, Traditional Reporter of Fantatsy, is a Crow Tengu reporter from Youkai Mountain who participates in, and records the ball games, as well as interviewingthe best performing players from the original teams in the game when their team wins.
  • Fragile Speedster: While she is "the fastest in Gensyoko" and she is nearly unstoppable in stealing bases, this is compensated by her hitting power being low, which means she'll be in trouble if she hits a grounder.
  • Intrepid Reporter: She does this duty as the primary reporter of the series, and she also participates in the games, too!
  • Leitmotif: Her default theme is "Wind God Girl" in all appearances... except for EX, where the theme is instead replaced with "Youkai Mountain ~ Mysterious Mountain" (for unknown reasons).

Sakuya Izayoi

Position: Shortstop

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7_sakuya.jpg

Affiliated Team: Gensyoko Turtles
Jersey Number: 39
Throws/Bats: Right/Switch
Stats: Contact: A (24) | Power: D (10) | Competitiveness: C (16) | Bunt: B (19) | Batting Eye: A
VS Right-hand Pitchers: C | VS Left-hand Pitchers: C | Arm Strength: B (20) | Running Speed: B (19) | Base Stealing: A (23)
Fielding defensive ability: 2nd Base: B (19), Shortstop: S (28)

The knife-throwing and time-manipulating maid of the Scarlet Devil Mansion A perfect and elegant shortstop fielder who skillfully catches and throw balls, and a skilled contact hitter.

  • Mundane Utility: She uses her time-manipulating abilities to save time and show a quick summary of the 7th inning during Gensyoko Turtles' Curb-Stomp Battle against Tokyo Yakult Swallows.
  • Stone Wall: Somewhat downplayed in the weaknesses, as she has a good contact stat, but low power stat, meaning she won't be hitting for more than a single base hit. On fielding, however, she's easily the most competent shortstop in the series, and is responsible for creating double plays and reliably stopping and catching batted balls.

Remilia Scarlet

Position: Outfielder

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tbhs7_remilia.jpg

Affiliated Team: Gensyoko Turtles
Jersey Number: 03
Throws/Bats: Right/Right
Stats: Contact: A (21) | Power: A (24) | Competitiveness: B (20) | Bunt: F (3) | Batting Eye: D
VS Right-hand Pitchers: C | VS Left-hand Pitchers: C | Arm Strength: S (30) | Running Speed: S (26) | Base Stealing: E (6)
Fielding defensive ability: 1st Base: D (9), 3rd Base: D (11), Ooutfielder: C (14)

The mistress of the Scarlet Devil Mansion, and also unsurprisingly charismatic. Has a ridiculously strong throwing arm, great batting stats and is also very nimble.

  • The Ace: Easily one of the best players not only in Gensyoko Turtles, but also the entire series, thanks to her insane stats. She even easily claims the crown when it comes to batting average, number of home runs, and RB Is, and even is selected into the best nine and also the MVP of the original season.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Speed that is almost as high as Aya, powerful enough to be able to hit Home Runs a lot while also averting the typical Powerful, but Inaccurate drawback as her contact stat is just arguably as good, and not to mention that her throwing arm is at the maximum possible stat, resulting in her being able to throw out runners trying to run to third base or even on ocassions, a batter who would've normally hitted into the outfield. Her only flaws is her mediocre batting eye, her low bunting stat which seems to be intentional to disallow her from bunting, and her poor fielding defensive ability which means she isn't that flawless on defense.
  • Logical Weakness: As a vampire, Remilia won't be present on games that could have a risk of raining, or is in outdoors at daytime. However, it exempts night-time games, which a plenty of the games in the video series take place during.

Caution: Spoilers are unmarked for Moment of Awesome

  • Moment of Awesome:
    • Original series Episode 1: Ran scoring a home run in her first at-bat, arguably a Establishing Character Moment that would result in her called as "the Intro king". This also eventually lead into...
    • Also in Original series Episode 1): The entire bottom of the 7th inning, a massive Curb-Stomp Battle in favor for Turtles as they brought the score even higher in their favor despite already clearly winning.
    • Original series Episode 13: Mokou, scores three home runs (one of which is a grand slam), and 10 RB Is total in the run, as part of yet another Curb-Stomp Battle.
    • EX Episode 12: Letty scores a grand slam that would secure Turtle's spot into making it into the promised final series to play against Frogs.
    • EX Episode 13: Rumia, out of all people, scores a grand slam as a pinch hitter! This is also a Shocking Moment due to (at least in comments) nobody expecting for a home run from someone with C-rank contact and power. It might be particularly aided by bases being loaded due to unusually bad pitching performance from Turtle's pitchers, but it's still there. She is the second stage 1 boss in Touhou to perform this, the first being Letty, as in the above example. Even the commentaries are so surprised and quickly make the "EX Rumia" references after seeing the ridiculous show. And the worst part? The in-game indicator of Rumia's condition being at "worst" would have made her performance worse than average.
    • While it is not a home run, Cirno actually scores a RBI in the 1st Gensyoko Dream Match, while playing as part of the Eientei Arrows team aggainst Gensyoko Turtles, as seen in this video. Unlike Rumia, who has at least average hitting accuracy and power, Cirno has these stats at below average value of 9 out of 30.
    • THBS7L Episode 1: Daiyousei gets her first base hit as seen here despite her 5/30 batting contact and power.
    • THBS7L Episode 3: While Remilia or Flandre hitting home runs is just a normal thing considering how ridiculous are their power stats, both of them hit home runs back-to-back, as the only scoring runs in the match, dubbed by the video tags as the "Transylvania", after their famed combination shot from [1].
    • THBS7L Episode 4: Two innings after the start of the match (and Letty's failure at scoring a hit despite the special script showing her matchup against Lily White), Rumia (yes, the same Rumia that hitted a Grand Slam as a pinch hitter), she hitted another home run. Though again, given that the opposing pitcher she hit a home run against, twice, is Lily White, who is normally a relief pitcher and even then, has weak stats even for minor character standards. But this doesn't change the fact that Rumia isn't someone to underestimate at all in some Touhou Fanfic works.
  • Crack Pairing: Out of all Touhou fanworks, Touhou Baseball in Heat Star 2007 seems to be the only work that actually pairs Reimu Hakurei with... Letty Whiterock. Though, this might be a reference to a particular Yuki-onna myth.
  • Memetic Mutation:
    • Reimu being called "Ace", also arguably a reference to Ace of the Diamond. Generally accompanied with a Japanese letter such as "Warai" (laughter) due to it being an already common joke within the Touhou fandom, or the translation for "Armpit", or "Brown". In later episodes, she might be even considered a true Ace indeed.
    • アリスなら / アリスなら (If it's Alice / Even Alice couldn't catch that) [[labelnote:Explanation]] Used when the ball is hit in such a way it goes line drive through the pitcher, and the pitcher couldn't stop it. Named after Alice and her very low Fielding Defense stat. "If it's Alice" is used if the pitcher actually catches. A variant, "Of course it's Alice" is used for the real Alice Margatroid herself, usually failing to catch a line drive comeback at her. In TBHS7L and later, this also refers to Kasen and Shinki, who just have as bad fielding defensive abilities, much like Alice.
    • SHI☆RA☆KE☆CHA☆U Explanation
    • "Pichuun" used as an onomatopeia for someone who gets hurt (including hit by pitches).
    • In general, characters usually have it as a shout-out depending on when they enter in the game, perform well, or poorly, or impressively. Usually, when certain characters enter (such as Mokou or Hina), there tends to be an overly long screaming of calling them.
      • Sakuya's PAD END (when she's put out.), as part of the various pad jokes of Sakuya, already common in the Touhou fandom. The "Elegant!" comment when she hits, however, is a meaningful reference to one of her official titles.
      • Meiling also has "Draft JAO" on an out, a reference to Touhou M-1 Grand Prix. However, if she gets a good hit, the crowd will respond with a screaming "JAOOOOOOO" much like from where the war cry originated from.
      • Youmu: "You immature!" (when she's out), referring to her being an inexperienced Kid Samurai. On the other hand, "The pitches that can't be hit are close to none!" if she hits is a reference to one of her lines in Perfect Cherry Blossom.
      • Reisen (Udonge): "Udon (noodles) is tough" (if she hits) or "Udon (noodles) is gentle/kind" (if she's out.) This is derived from her Fan Nickname, which is then associated with food (specifically, Udon noodles).
      • Nitori's "More than the price!" (hit) and "Abnormal price..." (out), likely influenced by her association with making profit.
      • Iku: Kyaiksan (dimunitive for "Kya Iku-san!"), and Gyaiksan (a corrupted variant of the phrase when she hits poorly and is out as a result.)

Page is currently under construction.

Common Tropes between the Bombergirl characters

  • Ambiguously Human: All of the Bombergirls seem to have a fuse (sometimes lit, sometimes not) for a tail.
  • Colorful Theme Naming: Most of the Bombergirls, especially the earlier released ones, generally has a color pattern on their name.
    • Shiro is Japanese for "White", befitting her resemblance to the White Bomber from the mainline Bomberman series.
    • Oren comes from the Romaji spelling for "Orange", which also coincides with oranges, as in fruits.
    • Emera is derived from "Emerald". As in, the green color from emeralds.
    • Momoko is a Japanese name that comes from "momoiro" which means pink, or alternatively it could be derived from "momo" which means "peach".
    • Papuru is just the Japanese pronounciation for "Purple".

Bomber-type

    Shiro
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/252px_shiro_bombergirl.png
"Youth is a blast!"
Voiced by: Nao Tōyama
A cheerful but otherwise ordinary young Bombergirl who strives to become a Bomber Master and will have fun in fights regardless of winning or losing.
She is one of the original characters from the release launch, and also the initially unlocked Bomber-type character. Additionally, she is considered the main representative character of Bombergirl, and is based on White Bomber, befitting her name.
Her hobby is self-described as "taking a walk, smiling and walking". She likes "Having fun" that according to her expands into effectively everything, and her dislikes are nothing as she doesn't have one at all.
Her birthday is April 6 and her brand is Academia.
  • All-Loving Hero: She likes everything and dislikes nothing, and not only that she's generally a friendly fellow that wants to have fun. She even tries to get Momoko and Aqua to stop fighting with each another.
  • Butt-Monkey: For the comics - she's just as much slapstick
  • Genki Girl: She is very cheerful and outgoing, considering that her voice actress also fills in the voice of many other genki girls in her other works.
  • Idiot Hero: She's not very bright for the main character, and is quite naive, especially in the comic works.
  • Limit Break:
    • Screw Bomb: Place a special bomb with a blast that pierces through soft blocks. Works the same as penetrating bombs in the mainline games. Default Skill 1, Team Level 2.
    • Super Ultra Bomb!!: Place a very dangerous bomb that deals moderate damage in a big area. Essentially a bigger and even more dangerous version of the Skull/Dangerous Bomb that hits up to an area of 7x7 squares. Default Skill 2, Requires Team Level 5.
    • Soaring Bomb!: Hurl a bomb in front of you a little distance away. Functions similarly to Boxing Glove power up from the main games where Shiro tosses a bomb that she's facing two squares away (can pass single block walls). This can be even used to toss Super Ultra Bombs. Bombs thrown will have their fuse reset. Additional Skill 1, Team Level 4.
    • Super Ultra Fake Bomb♪: Places an imitation "Super Ultra Bomb!!" that does not produce an explosion. Only her team members can see that it is fake. A special skill that throws a fake bomb that doesn't do any direct damage (aside from psychological damage). Shiro's teammates can see that this bomb is a fake, but it looks no different than other bombs to the opposing team. Additional Skill 2, Requires Team Level 4.
  • The Pollyanna: Even when she loses, she tries to keep optimistic, which is even mentioned in her character profile.
  • Series Mascot: Serves this for the Bombergirl, since she appears in many of the promotional images and in comics.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Shiro has quite a lot of resemblance to the White Bomber from the main Bomberman franchise, from her overall color motif to the cheerful personality in several of the works White Bomber appears in. She's also just as sweet and good-natured as well.
  • Too Dumb to Live: In the comics, due to being too naive sometimes. She gets shot (or in one comic, hit with a BFS) for about to leak about new information, there's the Halloween comic that she took a bait for a lollipop and crosses a train rail just before a train passes it, and there's also a comic panel where she recommends herself as a Bomber-type for newbies, only to get shot by Emera, to name a few.

Attacker-type

    Oren
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b6c487321159c80270f240422caf7727.png
"Alright, you'd all better grit your teeth!"
Voiced by: Nakamura Sakura
Oren is a soldier-like Bombergirl who loves fighting and is definitely in for the Bomber Battle competitions, with the motto "Life is a Battle!"
She is one of the initially-released characters, and the default unlockable-at-start Attacker-type character.
Her hobbies are anything that gets her body moving, especially swimming. Her likes are Wars, Rivalry, Bouts, Conflicts and Battles. And her dislikes are 'IT', given that she doesn't know what are PCs, the net or similar things.
Her birthday is April 14 and her brand is Tactical Assault Force.
  • Blood Knight: Definitely the biggest example in the game (and other related material). She loves fighting more than having a three meals a day, her motto is "Life is a battle!", and her "likes" involves various forms of conflict.
  • BFS: Oren uses one in all of her skills (except for the second Additional Skill).
  • Fiery Redhead: While her hair is actually ginger (though it is close enough to red), she is easily one of the most passionate characters when it comes to the Bomber Battle, for good reasons.
  • Hopeless with Tech: She can't handle computers because she doesn't know what are them, and likewise for internet or any other technological terms. IT is on her dislike for a good reason.
  • In a Single Bound: She can jump over walls with one of her skills, so you're in for a deadly surprise if you think you're safe by being behind a wall.
  • Limit Break:
    • Dunk Blade: Jump forward a little and deal damage to the surroundings. Oren will jump past the tile ahead of her (provided that tile isn't completely meant to be impassable such as railway crossing guardrails), even if it's a hard block wall. This skill also deals damage to nearby enemies on the place where she lands. Default Skill 1, Team Level 2.
    • Revol Slash: Move forward without stopping and deal damage. A charge attack that deals damage to anything unfortunate to being in the way. Can move past bombs, but not blocks (which interrupts the charge). Default Skill 2, Team Level 4.
    • Smash Blade: Deal damage to enemies in front of her. While it exactly does that relatively-weak but low-cooldown attack in a range of 1x3 tiles, but one thing to note is that due to temporarily invincibility to attacks and it's low cooldown, it can be used to dodge incoming damage from bombs or shooter projectiles. Additional Skill 1, Team Level 1.
    • Lunchtime: Restores a little of her HP. Oren heals herself by eating a riceball, which restores HP, but she cannot move during the animation and the skill has fairly long cooldown. Additional Skill 2, Team Level 3.

Shooter-type

    Emera
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/347px_emera_art.png
"Victory is my duty."
Voiced by: Yōko Hikasa
A robotic Bombergirl manfactured for battle, who disappeared from the spotlight before returning to participate in the Bomber Battle with a custom maid build. She's sisters with fellow android, Silva.
She is one of the initially-released characters. She's the first and default Shooter-type character.
Her Hobby includes maid duties (e.g. housekeeping) and shopping. Her likes and dislikes are not configured, but she comments that cats are so cute it could "kill" her, and she's sad when seeing rust because she thinks it's terrible.

Her birthday is May 24 and her brand is Sciensynaps.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She finds that cats are so cute that the cats' cuteness "could kill" her.
  • Emotionless Girl: How she generally acts both in-game and in comics, usually keeping the same tone regardless of situation. Or at least normally that would be her default configuration.
  • Energy Weapons: She uses energy shots and lasers in all of her skills' attack animations.
  • Limit Break:
    • Delta Thread: Charges three energy shots, then fires them one-by-one to deal damage. Can fire three shots at will after activating the skill. The cooldown of the skill only begins after all three shots are fired. Energy shots can bypass blocks, walls, allies and ally structures, and will disappear when hitting an enemy player, a Minbo, or an enemy structure. Default Skill 1, Team Level 1.
    • Omega Delete: Fires an intense, ultra-long-distance beam forward. She cannot move for a moment due to the shock. Fires a massive Wave-Motion Gun that penetrates through anything, and has very long range. Emera will be stunned for 1 second after firing the skill. Default Skill 2, Team Level 5.
    • Alpha Blast: Fires a beam forward. A weaker, smaller, but less cooldown version of Omega Delete, that can be used earlier. Like Omega Delete, the beam penetrates through anything in its way. Additional Skill 1, Team Level 3.
    • Sigma Thread: Charges one big energy shot, then fires it to deal damage. Charges the shot on first activation, then fires the shot on the second activation (in which the cooldown starts after). Shots go past blocks, walls, allies and ally structures but disappear when hitting an enemy player, a Minbo, or an enemy structure. Additional Skill 2, Team Level 4.
  • Machine Monotone: Her voice is monotonous and robotic, she never changes the tone of her voice significantly regardless of the situation and speaks all of her lines calmly.
  • Only Friend: Emera's only friend before being introduced to others is Tsugaru.
  • Only Sane Woman: Her role in the comics is generally as the "normal one" amongst the girls. She thinks she won't be the only one once
  • Robot Girl: She is by all means robotic with a feminine build. Though, at least this is how she appears at first, as her defeated artwork, a piece of promotional artwork, and her swimsuit skin indicates that her body is less robotic than it appears.
  • Robot Maid: Apparently, this is Emera's custom build that she is equipped with, when she returns to participate in the Bomber Battle.
    Papuru
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/418px_papuru_art.png
"T-this is God's punishment...?"
Voiced by: Akane Fujita
She's a kind-hearted fallen angel who doesn't like conflict, met her partner, Seija, when descended to Earth, and joins the Bomber battle in order to return to heaven.
One of the initial-release characters. But she's the only unlockable character in the original release of Bombergirl - at least, until more characters are added as unlockable characters as well. She is based on a certain character from Bomberman 64: The Second Attack! (spoiler warning below!)
Her hobby is reading (especially reading romance novels), she likes Western confections, especially cheesecake, but notes that she happen to eat too much. And she doesn't like sports because she doesn't really exercise, so she's not athletic at all.
Her Birthday is October 4, and her Brand is Sanctuary.
  • Combat Medic: Three of her skills can apply a Healing Shiv to allies while dealing damage to enemies.
  • Fallen Angel: Her theme motif. Interestingly enough, she has both a white-colored wing and a black-colored wing, as well as a halo and a devil's tail. This pattern also applies to Seija.
  • Half-Human Hybrid: While she is classified as a fallen angel, she sports both angelic and demonic traits. The comics show that her mood affects which one of the traits become dominant.
  • Limit Break:
    • Judgement: Fire an arrow. Hit allies recover HP & gain a speed buff while hit enemies take damage & their speed de-buffed. The arrows can bypass walls and blocks, pierces Minbos but not players or structures (this also applies to the two Additional Skills as well). Default Skill 1, Team Level 3
    • Requiem: Generate multiple pillars that deal damage on collision. This skill attacks in a circular radius area of Papuru, and hits 3 times. Default Skill 2, Team Level 5
    • Cerberus Fire three arrows in forward directions. Hit allies recover HP & gain a speed buff while hit enemies take damage & their speed de-buffed. A Multishot skill that fires three arrows: one straight in front of Papuru's facing direction, one slightly to the left and one slightly to the right. The arrows start from Papuru's standing tile, and a player can be hit with all three of these arrows if standing on the same tile. Additional Skill 1, Team Level 4
    • Orthrus: Fire two arrows arcing from her left and right sides in a circular pattern. Hit allies recover HP & gain a speed buff while hit enemies take damage & their speed de-buffed. The circular pattern of the arrow path forms a 6-tile diameter. Additional Skill 2, Team Level 4
  • Mythical Motifs: Her two additional skills named Cerberus and Orthrus, both named after multi-headed dogs from Greek mythology. The former shoots 3 arrows while the latter shoots 2, both matching the number of heads of those two.
  • Mythology Gag: Their design is a reference to Angel of Light and Shadow from Bomberman 64: The Second Attack!, out of all things.
  • Sweet Tooth: Papuru has a fondness for Western confections as her "likes", especially when it comes to cheesecake.
  • Weight Woe: It's possible that Papuru is sensitive in regards to weight, if anything that she admits that she eats too much.
  • Yin-Yang Bomb: She uses both Light and Darkness powers.

Blocker-type

    Momoko
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/411px_momoko_art.png
"Puhuhu, I'll dance in everyone's blood."
Voiced by: Shiori Izawa
The leader of "Pretty Bombers", a highly popular Bomber Idol Unit. She's ambitious and chasing her dreams, racing to the top of the idol world.
She is one of the initial-release and starting playable character for Blocker-type.
Her hobby is going around coffee shops. She likes the job of an idol (especially the work itself). And listed in "dislikes" is that she's not confident about getting along with people in real life.
Her Birthday is March 3 and her Brand is Dorupuro.
  • Cute and Psycho: Do NOT let her cutesy look fools you, she can just be as dangerous as other Bombergirls. Especially with her profile biography's quote claiming that she'll dance in everyone's blood.
  • An Ice Person: Can create ice pillars with the Momoko Best Wall skill, which can also slow down opposing players.
  • Limit Break:
    • Momoko Wall: Generate 3 blocks in a straight line. Note that the blocks cannot be created on top of any player (allied or enemy) or existing blocks (but they can be created on top of Minbos which automatically defeats them), and these created blocks can block a respawn point and prevent respawns from that respawn point until cleared. Aside from that, it does exactly what it says on the description. Default Skill 1, Team Level 1.
    • Healing Idol Voice: Restore the HP and durability of surrounding allied players and structures, respectively. This skill also buffs the speed of all allies, including Momoko herself, for 10 seconds. Default Skill 2, Team Level 5.
    • Momoko Best Wall: Generate 3 blocks in a straight line while attacking the enemy with ice pillars. Enemies hit will receive a slow debuff. Like Momoko Wall, the blocks cannot appear on tiles where there are players on them, but they'll be hit with slight damage and get afflicted by a slow debuff (which cannot be blocked with any form of skill invincibility frame). Additional Skill 1, Team Level 3.
  • Magic Idol Singer: She's themed on one, and is the leader of the magical idol singer group "Pretty Bombers".
  • No Social Skills: Ironically enough for an Idol, she implies herself to be not confident of getting along with people in real life.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Her main color outfit is mainly pink, befitting of a girly idol singer.
  • Playing Card Motifs: Of the Pretty Bombers' playing card themems, she has the Heart symbol, and is described as the "King of Hearts".
  • Psycho Pink: If one considers her to be indeed truly a psycho as hinted by her quote, and definitely so if she appears on the opposing team.
