Combagals

The main focus of the story. Combagals are female pro-wrestlers that are widely popular and beloved across all of Concatta. Besides being expert fighters, they are popular celebrities with many fans. When not fighting in the ring, they promote themselves through advertisements like game shows, commercials, and other methods to increase their fan support.

Combagals fight solo or as part of tag-teams, with the latter option being the most popular choice. Depending on their skill, Combagals are hired by agencies to join teams like the Cyclone Crushers.

There are seven main districts in Botaun, the capital of Concatta, each with their own champion or pair of champions. Every year, those champions participate in the Queen of Fighters Tournament for a chance to fight Donkizari, the Continental Champion that's been undefeated for many years.

Combagals as explained by Cookie.

  • Action Girl: The comic is pretty much about female pro-wrestling so them being this trope is a given.
  • Breast Attack: Attacks to the breasts are legal and used in some fights.
  • Charles Atlas Superpower: Combagals are physically fit, take years of training in furry fighting schools, and some of them have prior fighting experience. This gives them superior physical parameters to the average citizens, with some having Made of Iron durability and Megaton Punch striking force.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Combagals can attack from behind, exploit rules to get an advantage, or use low blows against their opponents.
  • Dark Action Girl: Most Heel Combagals fit the description due to their brutal fighting style.
  • Diving Kick: Drop kicks are very common attacks in furry fighting.
  • Extremity Extremist: Combagals can fight exclusively with their arms (such as Peki using her flippers for punches) or legs (as Nyarai is a Kick Chick when going all out).
  • Face: Heroic Combagals who fight fair or are presented in a positive light.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Acknowledged as an occurrence in furry fighting, when a Face Combagal becomes a Heel by doing something villainous prior or during a match. This is a plot point in Part 2.
  • Grapple Move: This is the basis of most moves in furry fighting since its based in professional wrestling. However, because of the setting, furry fighting is mainly based on the Japanese puroresu style of wrestling, which encourages striking attacks and victory by knockout.
  • Groin Attack: Attacks to the groin happen in the most violent fights. They're as painful for Combagals as they'd be in a male character.
  • Headlock of Dominance: This is the most commonly used choking and restraining move.
  • Heel: Villainous Combagals who fight dirty or brutally or are presented in a negative light.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Another occurrence in furry fighting when a Heel Combagal redeems herself enough to become a Face by doing something heroic prior or during a match.
  • I Work Alone: Solo fights revolve around Combagals engaging in one-on-one fights.
  • Kayfabe: Some Combagals prefer to do this type of matches where none of the fighters are hurt, but the winner is predetermined based on plot of a storyline and a fighting choreography.
  • Kick the Dog: Heel Combagals invoke this by deliberately hurting or humiliating their opponents during a match.
  • Made of Iron: Because of their physical condition, Combagals have great stamina, durability, and endurance. They can fight at full strength for almost an hour or recover quickly from a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown to continue the match.
  • Martial Artists Are Always Barefoot: Zigzagged as Combagals have some sort of martial arts training besides wrestling and wear outfits that have no footwear or open toed footwear. Generally, a Barefoot Cartoon Animal Combagal goes barefoot while humanoid Combagals decide whether or not to fight in bare feet, revealing footwear, or shoes.
  • Megaton Punch: Combagals can easily punch or kick each other across the ring. The difference is made more apparent when some Combagals hit people outside the ring, like Roora kicking Muko and a bunch of security guards into a wall with a single blow.
  • Murderous Thighs: Combagals with great leg strength, like Roora and Nyarai, can use their legs to choke their opponents.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Most Combagals are attractive and wear revealing clothes to attract the attention of their fans. Played With as some Combagals like Adelgund don't have traditional female beauty but are still popular because of their fighting prowess and personality.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: This is a common outcome in shoot-wrestling as Combagals fight with all of their might with clear intent of hurting each other.
  • Non-Action Guy: Enforced as Combagals require at least a manager in order to be able to fight.
  • Pro Wrestling Is Real: Zigzagged as some Combagals have kayfabe while others, such as the Cyclone Crushers, prefer the more realistic shoot-style.
  • Red Baron: Combagals earn a nickname that reflects their fighting prowess after accomplishing great feats. This is mainly reserved for champions and elite Combagals though.
  • Show Some Leg: According to Cookie, most of them like to show skin.
  • Smash Sisters: Tag-team fights are very popular in furry fighting. Cookie even lampshades that most fans prefer them, Combagals earn more money and have their strengths complemented by their partners, and the most important tournaments revolve around tag-team fights.
  • Throwing the Fight: As with some cases in professional wrestling, some furry fighting matches are staged, with both sides reuniting before the fight and discussing how the fight is going to be, including who will be the winner. This actually becomes a plot point in Part 2.
  • World of Action Girls: While there are male characters capable of fighting, most of the action scenes revolve around Combagals and their fighting prowess.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Justified since all of them do pro-wrestling.

Protagonists

The story deals about the lives of four women. Muko is a young woman who decides to become a Combagal after seeing her first furry fighting match. Cookie is a disgraced manager who takes Muko as a client despite her lack of training out of desperation to pay her debts and restore her reputation. Nyarai is a Combagal who faces oppression due to being a Wild and is Muko's partner, but she has a plan of her own. Meanwhile, Kalita, founding member of the Roda Kira Gang is stuck at a moral crossroad regarding her gang's actions after a fateful encounter with Muko. Each of these ladies will fight to fulfill their dreams and ideals in their own storylines.

The four protagonists. At the front: Muko. At the center from left to right: Kalita and Cookie. At the back: Nyarai.

  • Action Girl: Kalita and Nyarai fit this from the start. Muko aims to become this after Part 2 by training to become a Combagal.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: Nyarai betrays Muko and Cookie in the middle of Part 2, traumatizing the former with a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that gets her to quit furry fighting. Fortunately, Muko decides to return to furry fighting in the next chapter with renewed passion and with her friendship with Cookie stronger than ever.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: All four of them have shady pasts that still affect them in the present.
  • Ensemble Cast: Each of them is a main character with Character Focus on each Part of Arc 1 and A Day in the Limelight when they don't get much spotlight. They also have chapters focused to characters remotely connected with either of them, such as friends, enemies, or acquaintances.
  • Fire-Forged Friends:
    • Played With Cookie and Muko as they had great chemistry due to Muko, unlike Nyarai, treating Cookie with respect as a manager. The Masato match only made their bond stronger once they dealt with the trauma.
    • Subverted with Nyarai and her contempt for Cookie and Muko. Despite facing the champions of Masato, she let Adelgund play with Muko and then betrayed her and beat her up herself. She also delighted in rubbing her betrayal in Cookie's face while the latter was in tears.
  • Four-Girl Ensemble: Muko is an immature Genki Girl with perverted and childish tendencies, Kalita is a Badass Biker with a criminal record, Nyarai is a High-Class Call Girl whose beauty hides a Hair-Trigger Temper and a Blood Knight personality, and Cookie is a Team Mom dealing with the former three and her own mistakes, past and present, as a manager.
  • Hot-Blooded: All four of them shows some degree of this. Muko is energetic, Cookie can let her emotions get the best of her, Kalita has an anger problem, and Nyarai is itching for a fight.
  • Ragtag Bunch of Misfits: Muko is a perverted Combagal fan who wants to become one, Cookie is a disgraced manager, Kalita is a founder of an infamous bike gang, and Nyarai is a hostess and professional Combagal prosecuted because she's a Wild with ties to the sumiguza.

     Muko Bunburger

Muko Bunburger

An energetic yet perverted rabbit, Muko is a Combagal fan. After watching a Combagal match featuring Roora and Fenny, Muko was inspired to become a Combagal herself. Motivated by her desire to fondle beautiful girls, but unwilling to go to a Combagal school for two years, Muko hires Cookie to be her manager to get her first match in a week. Little does Muko know that being a Combagal is harder than she thinks.

Maiden of Mayhem

  • 10-Minute Retirement: Suffered one that lasted three days after the Masato Championship. Cookie sharing her own experiences regarding despair causes Muko to recover her drive to become a Combagal.
  • Action Girl: She goes from Faux Action Girl to a true Combagal across Act 1. By Part 4, she's a genuine Combagal in terms of power and skill.
  • All Women Are Lustful: A rare lesbian example; she's very girl-crazy, loves erotica, and shamelessly perverted around other women. Her main reason for becoming a Combagal in the first place is to be surrounded by beautiful ladies... initially.
  • Animal Stereotypes: She's a rabbit with an over-active drive for sex.
  • Annoying Younger Sibling: Saniko seems to think so due to Muko's tendency to lose jobs, forcing her to work twice as hard to substain them both.
  • Ascended Fangirl: She spent years being a fan of Combagals, but she decided to become one after watching her first match. She debuts one week after getting Cookie as her manager.
  • Ass Kicks You: She uses a butt strike on Snuggly in her Heel debut. She later uses it on the referee.
  • Audience Surrogate: Muko knows nothing about furry fighting and she's more interested about the fanservice, which would reflect the average audience. Once the plot gets serious and she undergoes Character Development as she takes furry fighting seriously, she reflects the audience who's interested in the fanservice, the sport, and the story.
  • Because You Were Nice to Me: Cookie believing in Muko, respecting her despite her immaturity, and guiding her is the main reason behind her loyalty to the squirrel as she's the first person who treated Muko like an adult.
  • Berserk Button: Muko may not get enraged, but she will try to prove you wrong if she feels that you're looking down on her.
    • As of Part 3, threatening, hurting, or making Cookie sad is a big one for Muko, enough to fight the offender.
  • Big Eater: Muko has a big appetite that rivals her lust for pretty ladies.
  • Body Horror: Played for Laughs since her Lustful Melt has been show to scare off some people who've seen Muko in that state.
  • Broken Smile: She flashes one at Sephario, telling her that she won't give up. Since Muko is suffering an emotional breakdown that makes her melt, it shows how broken Muko is when confronting her trauma against Kalandesians.
  • Brutal Honesty: Muko has no filter in what she says. She's very blunt when expressing her interest in other women, but she can also be very brutal with her rejection of others, as seen when she tells her sister Saniko that she is not her mother despite the latter providing for the two.
  • Break the Cutie: Her first Combagal match turns into this when Nyarai betrays her team, fights her, gives her a "The Reason You Suck" Speech with a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that leaves her in tears in front of a live audience. Fortunately, she does want to stay in the stadium to want to see the rest of the fight, implying that Nyarai didn't completely destroy her spirit.
    • That being said, after witnessing the match to its bitter end, she decides that she does not belong in the world of Combagals, especially considering her weak reasons to have tried becoming one.
      "I quit."
  • Breaking the Fourth Wall: When meeting Kalita again in Chapter 29, Muko points out that she's in the next panel. Cue to Kalita appearing in that panel.
  • Butt-Monkey: She goes through a lot of indignities in the comic, mainly because of her immaturity, and always for comedic purposes.
  • Carnivore Confusion: Muko is a bunny, but she likes eating meat products like burgers and barbecue.
  • Character Development: By the end of Part 2, following certain experiences ( betrayed and beaten up by Nyarai, being Forced to Watch as Adelgund is hospitalized by Nyarai, realizing how Overshadowed by Awesome she truly was as the weakest of the four fighters, having a 10-Minute Retirement and a talk with Cookie), Muko realizes that furry fighting is more than groping girls and resolves to try it again the right way.
  • Character Focus: Part 1 focuses on Muko trying to start her Combagal career after watching a match between Fenny and Roora, meeting Cookie, and then fighting Kalita.
  • Cloudcuckoolander: Oh, yes. Muko has a weak grasp on listening and an even weaker one on logic, and generally follows the beat of her own (thirsty) drum. Let alone her lack of social skills and, for example, thinking that a paper bag itself is a gift as opposed to what's inside it.
  • Closet Key: To Matroshka, which lead to relationship that destroyed her career and marriage with her husband.
  • Comfort Food: She likes to eat milkshakes and fries because they taste like pancakes when eaten together.
  • Comically Missing the Point: She misses Cookie's "The World is Your Stage" speech, which was a motivational metaphor as a statement that the world is a literal ring for any Combagal match, meaning that Muko was free to fight Kalita for the first time despite having no training or experience. Predictably, Muko gets a Curb-Stomp Battle in the next chapter.
  • Cool Mask: She wears a black mask as part of her Masked Luchador ensemble. She gets to wear it a bit at Ida's shop on Chapter 30, but doesn't buy it yet.
  • Crush Blush: Despite being girl-crazy, Muko has a noticeable blush around Kalita, mainly because she's a perfect ten in Muko's scale of beauty.
  • Damage-Sponge Boss: Downplayed as skill-wise Muko is anything but a boss, but she has the potential of being a heroic version of the trope as she can take a beating from stronger and more skilled opponents before losing. Cookie actually lampshades this by calling Muko a "damage-sponge".
  • Desperately Craves Affection: This is the center of Muko's perverted tendencies, as while she acts out of lust, she also wants friendship and love. She also desires respect from her peers as making Cookie proud was her second motivation for becoming a Combagal since the squirrel was the first person who ever believed in her, something that Saniko, Muko's own sister, never did by dismissing her as a child.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Saniko accuses her of this as she points out that Muko wanting to be a Combagal, besides wanting to fondle beautiful girls, is no different to the time on which she wanted to be an eating champion and then gave up upon losing. Muko reacts with uncharacteristic coldness.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: Muko has a low attention span, but it gets even lower when there are sexy ladies around her.
  • Diving Kick: The drop kick is the first wrestling technique she learned from Cookie and that she uses against Adelgund in the Masato match.
  • Does Not Like Men: As stated in Chapter 3, Muko has trouble talking to men. She doesn't hate them as much as she is socially awkward around them. This affected her ability to be a waitress to male customers until Cookie helped her out.
  • "Eureka!" Moment: She figures out Nyarai's weakness at the end of Chapter 46. She then uses that knowledge to strangle Nyarai into submission, winning the match.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She may be a pervert when pretty girls are around, but Muko draws the line in sadism and torture.
  • Extreme Libido: Muko is very girl crazy, lusting after other girls openly, buying gravure magazines, and engaging in perverted antics without care of the consequences. It's because of her libido that she became a Combagal as she wanted a job that would allow her to see and touch beautiful girls all day long. Deconstructed as of Part 3 as she realizes that her libido is her Fatal Flaw since it impairs her ability to concentrate in a fight.
  • Fan of the Underdog: She is the only person who hires Cookie as her manager and likes her as a person in comparison to Nyarai who only hired her. By the end of Part 2, after Nyarai betrayed them both and learning Cookie's past, Muko is the first and so far only person of the furry fighting community to forgive Cookie for her mistakes, accepting her back as her manager.
  • Faux Action Girl: She starts as this with little to no training or physical condition. After Character Development at the end of Part 2, Muko is spending her efforts in Part 3 to avert this by graduating to Action Girl on her own efforts. Fully averted in Part 4, where Muko displays better skill even defeating Nyarai and holding her own against Sephario.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: The Foolish Sibling to Saniko's Responsible Sibling. Unlike her older sister, who has a job and stable income, Muko goes around doing whatever she wants and her choice of jobs is based on whims and passions, giving up on them if they turn out to be harder than she expected.
  • Forced to Watch: She is incapable of helping Adelgund once Nyarai unleashes her full strength. Despite Muko wanting to tag in to save her, Adelgund refuses and opts to take Nyarai's last blow to teach Muko what it means to be a Combagal.
  • Formerly Fat: According to Saniko, Muko lost a speed eating competition, causing her to indulge in foot so much that she turned into a fat glob. Saniko put her into a strict regimen of diet and exercise to get her back into shape.
  • Gamer Chick: Muko loves to play videogames in her spare time. Her idea of training to be a Combagal involves stop playing RPG games...and then start playing fight games instead.
  • Genki Girl: Muko is very cheerful and energetic, happy to follow her passions with all her heart.
  • The Glomp: Gives dashing hugs to her friends when excited or moved. She gives Cookie one when she tells Muko her dream of training a champion Combagal and she also hugged Nyarai, happy to meet her partner.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: She used the word "oppai" upon seeing Kalita's breasts. Fittingly enough, the word means breasts in Japanese.
  • Growing Up Sucks: Being around 18-19 when the story begins, one of Muko's character arcs is acknowledging her immaturity and making herself a better person as she strives to become a Combagal. This lesson is learned at the end of Part 2, but the positive results are starting to show as of Part 3.
  • Heroic BSoD: Suffers from this after the Masato match. Since her debut involved Nyarai betraying and beating her up, watching her new partner Adelgund break Peki's limbs, and being Forced to Watch as Nyarai utterly destroys Adelgund at the end of the match. Realizing that she was the weakest of the four Combagals fighting that night makes her quit furry fighting.
  • Hidden Depths: Despite her immature and perverted exterior, Muko shows that she's more thoughtful than one expects her to be.
    • She prefers erotica to porn because she'd rather use her imagination rather than have pictures of naked ladies shown to her, explaining the definition between the two terms with surprising eloquence.
    • She shows surprising emotional maturity regarding themes involving honesty, forgiveness, and trust, which play part in her retirement and return to furry fighting in Part 2 after Cookie opens up about her past and Muko strives to be a better person and wrestler, starting with forgiving Cookie for failing her as a manager.
  • Idiot Hero: Muko is not smart and she has a low attention span. In fact, everything she knows about Combagals she knows because she only watched pictures in sports magazines rather than read the articles.
  • I Just Want to Be Badass: This becomes her motivation for being a Combagal following her first match at the end of Part 2 and it becomes more evident when the power gap between her and Kalita becomes evident in their rematch.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Muko admits in Chapter 22 that this was her motivation in her early chapters, which caused her to commit actions that made her the mockery of others (Saniko, the maids at Cafe Carrots, Nyarai, Kalita). Despite this, Muko strives to be someone worthy of respect, starting with herself.
  • I Know Mortal Kombat: Her initial idea of training was playing beat'em up games instead of going to the gym. After Part 2, she decides to train for real.
  • In a Single Bound: Did this to bypass some security guards to talk to Fenny and Roora in the shower rooms.
  • Incompatible Orientation: She's a lesbian, but, aside from her perverted tendencies, it is implied that some of her targets don't swing the same way she does. In Chapter 9, Tasha awkwardly says to Muko that she's interested in men when the bunny girl asks her out.
  • Innocent Fanservice Girl: Some of her clothes fit into fanservice territory, much to Cookie's approval as she believes Combagals must show skin. Likewise, she invokes this trope when she does customer service to win The Bet at Cafe Carrots. Besides Harry asking for repeated orders, Muko ended up stealing patrons from three more experienced maids.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Despite her Brutal Honesty and immaturity, Muko rarely means any harm with what she says unless she's mad or has a grudge. While Chapter 8 shows Muko taking advantage of Mellow and ignoring him despite taking him to the Combagal match that inspired her to become one, Muko still considers him a friend, giving him her phone number, and being happy to see him in the audience in Chapter 11 at her debut match. It is implied that her treatment of Mellow is more due to her having No Social Skills rather than lack of appreciation for him.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Muko has a poor idea of logic, mainly based on her childish optimism. For example, when betting Cookie's money on a roulette in Chapter 29, her excuse was that Cookie always thought that she was going to lose, therefore Muko needed to believe Cookie was going to win. Even without Cookie's curse, optimism doesn't affect one's chances in a game of luck.
  • Instant Humiliation: Just Add YouTube!: Chapter 24 shows Muko reading a second Spotter article about her, this time with a video slandering her. The video shows Miho interviewing several of the women that Muko harassed during the first part of the comic, highlighting her perverted tendencies. However, the video gets personal when it reveals Muko's personal affair with her home teacher and make it seem as if she tricked her into a relationship.
  • I Want My Mommy!: After being mentally and physically broken by Nyarai during their fight, Muko's debut ends with her in tears and crying for her mom, at which point a disgusted Adelgund steps in to defend her.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: All of her perverted antics in Part 1 and prior to the comic come back to bite her in the ass in Chapter 24 when Miho makes a Spotter article with interviews featuring Roora and the Cafe Carrots maid who bitterly recall Muko's perverted antics, further damaging her bad reputation.
  • Likes Older Women: Downplayed as Muko shows that she likes her peers, but Muko shows attraction to Combagals with years of experience, making them older than her.
    • Chapter 24 reveals that her First Love was her high school teacher with whom she had a romantic relationship. Muko actually lost her virginity to her as seen in a flashback in a previous chapter. Her teacher was twice as old as Muko at 34 years old compared to her who was 17 at the time.
  • Literal-Minded: On occasion. Her response to her ex-boss referring to wrestling as "catfighting" is to tell him that it isn't just cats who partake in it, and to a lesser extent she mistakes "the biggest Face" in wrestling to have an actual big face.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: She doesn't know much about Cookie's past and bad reputation until the end of Part 2. Even then, she's more disappointed at her keeping a secret from her than what she did and is the first person who ever forgave her for the mistakes she made.
  • Lovable Sex Maniac: Muko is perverted and her main interest in becoming a Combagal was mainly being surrounded by cute girls. That being said, she cares about her friends and has a strong sense of justice.
  • Lustful Melt: When she gets horny enough, Muko's body melts and she needs time to get solid.
  • Made of Iron: Muko can take a beating even before she starts her training to become a Combagal. Cookie even calls her a "damage sponge" in Chapter 23 to showcase how much defensive potential she has.
  • Masked Luchador: The cover of Act 1 has Muko with a black mask as part of her Combagal outfit.
  • Mentor's New Hope: To Cookie, as she alongside with Nyarai were the only clients Cookie had in two years. Unlike Nyarai, Muko was the only one to whom Cookie acted as The Mentor since the latter was an inexperienced amateur while the former was already a seasoned fighter.
  • Missing Mom: Her mother is frequently mentioned despite not yet appearing in the comic. Muko owes her job at Cafe Carrots to the owner being friends with her mom and one of the reasons she resents Saniko is that she's emulating their missing mother.
  • Momma's Boy: Not much is known about Muko's mom, but she is remembered fondly by Muko's boss, saying that she's the reason he tolerated Muko for so long despite being a poor worker. Muko also takes offense to Saniko babying her, bluntly saying that she's not their mother. It can be implied that Muko was very close to her.
  • Ms. Vice Girl: Muko has a lot of vices going against her: sloth (cutting corners to become a Combagal immediately instead of taking out two years of schooling), lust (her very frequent and very perverted behavior towards other attractive women), recklessness (her general impulsivity and undisciplined nature), foolishness (she's a high school dropout who has No Social Skills and a minimal grasp on logic at best) and gluttony (she has a long-time junk food addiction). It should come as no surprise that she alienates many of the people around her on a good day, with even her sister being skeptical of her choices at times. That being said, Muko is also a kind, sweet and caring girl to her friends with no intent to actually harm anyone, believes strongly in justice, forgiveness and redemption, and eventually works to grow out of a few of these vices over the course of the story regardless.
  • My Greatest Failure: Her inability to protect Adelgund from Nyarai in the Masato match weighs heavily on her. It even causes her to quit furry fighting for a few weeks.
  • Naïve Newcomer: Believes that furry fighting should be fun and sexy, joins despite having no training or fighting experience, and her only knowledge of the sport is watching a match and just reading the pictures of Combagal magazines. This attitude bites her on her debut match where she loses badly against Nyarai, is Forced to Watch as Adelgund is hospitalized by Nyarai. She suffers a Heroic BSoD and only snaps out of it after Cookie talks with her about her own experiences three days later.
  • Never My Fault: She acts like her boss and fellow maids at Cafe Carrots hate her for no reason, ignoring the fact that she was a bad worker and that she was perverted with her peers.
  • New Meat: She has her first furry fighting match in Part 2, where she realizes how out of her depth she truly is. Part 2 has her train for her second match.
  • Next Tier Power-Up: She gets this after an emotional pep-talk between her and Cookie during her rematch with Kalita, complete with new outfit and Battle Aura to symbolize the growth. It was parodied as Kalita immediately gives Muko a One-Hit Kill that ends the fight and Muko has to become strong the old fashioned way.
  • Noodle Incident: Every passion that Muko pursued before furry fighting fits into this trope. It's why Saniko believed that it was a phase at first.
  • No Sense of Personal Space: Muko tends to invade the personal space of many female characters in her attempts to grope them. That being said, this also applies to Cookie to whom she hugs and carries despite having no attraction whatsoever.
  • No Social Skills: Muko is very blunt, perverted, immature, and childish. She makes up with her enthusiasm and being a nice person though.
  • Oh, Crap!:
    • She has this feeling when she realizes that her main opponent in her debut match will be Adelgund, the opposite of the Ms. Fanservice type of character she expected to fight.
    • She has a more serious one in Chapter 14 when she realizes Nyarai intends to hurt her and that her betrayal of her and Cookie was genuine.
    • Played for Laughs near the end of Chapter 19 when Saniko tells her that she needs to move out in exchange for returning to furry fighting, leaving Muko with a frozen smile on her face, clearly not seeing that coming.
    • She's visibly intimidated by the challenge tape made by Freydar.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Muko is very optimistic and likes to have fun. So seeing her sad or angry is very rare.
    • Her argument with Saniko regarding her desire to be a Combagal has Muko coldly tell her with Brutal Honesty that she is not their mother.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: One of the reasons for her temporary retirement. Out of the four Combagals fighting at the Masato match, Muko was the weakest and less skilled. Nyarai won the match, Adelgund fought against all three fighters, and Peki dueled with Adelgund evenly before losing.
  • Parental Abandonment: Neither of her parents are seen, but Muko seems to care a lot about her mother, constantly mentioning her.
  • Persona Non Grata: She is not allowed to train on gyms that Cookie brings her in due to a Spotter article labeling Muko as a sex offender.
  • The Protagonist: While each part gives Character Focus to the other main characters, the focus of the comic revolves mainly on Muko and how she strives to become a Combagal.
  • Race Fetish: She gets a crush on Patchwork in Chapter 24, a bunny Amazonian Beauty who was supposed to be her trainer at the "Megaton Punch" gym. Rather than listing the body parts she finds attractive Muko can only say "Bunny" repeatedly and is very disappointed when Patchwork refuses to train them, crying Bunny repeatedly while Cookie drags her to another gym.
  • Relative Button: Her mother is a soft spot for her as she looks guilty when her boss mentions he only hired her because of her mother and Muko takes offense at Saniko acting like their mother.
  • Repressed Memories: Hinted to have some repressed memories during her rematch with Kalita as a panel shows static rather than show someone who wronged her. During the Cookie Crumble Match, it is revealed that Muko is trying to forget the events of Trilamity Day since the last time she saw her mother was her being turned into a blob before being incinerated by a dragon. Fortunately, she comes to terms with her mother's death after the match.
  • The Resenter: Implied and downplayed on Chapter 22. Muko is shown to hold grudges against several characters for looking down on her or hurting her across the comic so far, but she's also shown to be forgiving and to not let that resentment be a driving factor of her personality as she's shown to love her sister Saniko despite their disagreements and she's happy to meet Kalita again despite the latter beating her to unconsciousness many chapters ago.
  • Righteous Rabbit: Muko is a nice person, but she also has a sense of justice, willing to fight Kalita to prevent her from stealing money from Cafe Carrots.
  • The Scapegoat: The ending of Chapter 24 has Muko's teacher, who was her First Love back in high school, claim that Muko trick her into a relationship by using her cute appearance and personality, making Muko look like a sex offender.
  • Sensing You Are Outmatched: Upon standing face to face against Adelgund in Chapter 11, Muko stopped thinking about how ugly she was and started thinking about how dangerous the Masato Champion was now that she was in the ring.
  • Ship Tease: Apparently, she got into a relationship with Shira after the Cookie Crumble Match. Sleepy teases her about it.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: So far, the only wrestling moves she can do perfectly in a match are the dropkick and the clothesline. Both of these techniques are easy to learn in pro-wrestling, but they are also very effective techniques to use.
  • Stepford Smiler: While Muko is optimistic, some chapters imply that she masks her negative feelings, which leak out from time to time. So far, she's dealt with her older sister treating her more like a child than an adult, her former coworkers looking down on her, being unable to finish high school because her First Love was her own teacher, her complicated family life, and the struggles she has to face to achieve her dreams of becoming a Combagal.
  • Stock Shoujo Heroine: Despite being older and more morally grey than the typical example, Muko ticks quite a few boxes regarding this trope: she's a klutz with a general air of blissful ignorance around her, has minimal work ethic and employable skills, is emotional and peppy, has difficulty controlling herself around the objects of her affection, and spends the story training with The Power of Friendship and reaching out to her comrades. Hell, she may have been inspired by Usagi herself, being an anthropomorphic rabbit and all.
  • Stone Wall: This is Muko's current specialty. She has little techniques, and she has no good physical parameters, but she can take a beating until she's unconscious, as seen with her brutal fight with Kalita.
  • Suicidal Overconfidence: Her first fight with Kalita is mainly due to treating the brawl more like a match rather than the serious issue it's supposed to be. The maids at Cafe Carrots even call her suicidal because of it.
  • Super-Hearing: Thanks to her long rabbit ears, Muko has a great sense of hearing. She figured out the secret of Adelgund's Dog Drop was to slam her arm on the mat to create a loud sound to trick the audience into thinking Muko was slammed that hard when Adelgund never truly hurt her.
  • Super-Speed: Being a rabbit, she's very fast. However, Muko only shows such speed when she's very emotional, such as when she gets scared of missing an appoint in Chapter 9 or chasing after a pretty girl in Chapter 25.
  • Super Window Jump: Muko pulls this off in Chapter 25 while picking up Cookie just as she's about to start training for the first time in her life, breaking through a store window.
  • Take This Job and Shove It: She happily quits her job at Cafe Carrots in Chapter 2 when she decides to become a Combagal. She's very dismayed when Cookie makes her work again by the end of the chapter.
  • Teacher/Student Romance: A Spotter article in Chapter 24 reveals that the woman in Muko's flashback in the previous chapter was her school teacher in her senior year of high school. Miho exploits this by making Muko appear as if she seduced her teacher, making her appear as a sex offender.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Muko pisses off Kalita a lot in their first fight because she prioritizes her lust over her survival, earning her a beating in the process.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Downplayed as she's not yet in the level of a Combagal, but Muko learned a clothesline and a drop kick in the span of a week. She also was capable of temporarily holding her own against Kalita in her rematch with what little she learned despite a period of inactivity from her 10-Minute Retirement once she took the fight as seriously as intended.
  • Tragic Dropout: As revealed in Chapter 24, Muko never finished high school due to her Teacher/Student Romance with Matroshka. It is implied that her earlier job seeking before the comic started was to make up for her inability to graduate and to help Saniko.
  • Tragic Keepsake: She keeps the collar Adelgund gave her back when Muko was her tag team partner in Team Executor following Nyarai and Peki's betrayal of their teams. She looks at it sadly after she was Forced to Watch as Nyarai hospitalized Adelgund and became the Masato champion, leaving Muko with a sour memory of her first match.
  • Turn the Other Cheek: Surprisingly, Muko shows that she has a forgiving side. Despite Cookie failing her as a manager by getting her into a championship fight for her debut match, which Shun used to humiliate Cookie and have Nyarai beat up Muko. Even though Muko found out that Cookie indirectly got the best client of her career a Career-Ending Injury and sold the rest of her Combagals to her Arch-Enemy out of desperation. She's the only person who bothers to understand and forgive Cookie whereas everyone else opts to adopt the Once Done, Never Forgotten mindset with either of her mistakes.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: Muko has good athletic skill, but lacks pro-wrestling training. Cookie tries to mend it by teaching her easy moves before her debut match.
  • Vague Age: Muko's exact age is unknown. However, according to the information given to her by Fenny and confirmed by Muko herself on the Internet, the average Combagal must enroll at a school since age 16 and study for 2 years before finding a manager, making them 18 years old if they get a proper start. Since Muko is able to fight in the ring just by hiring Cookie, she must be around 16-18 years old.
    • Part 2 implies that she must be around 18 years old or older as Saniko is worried about Muko's future and her developing a more mature personality.
    • Part 3 reveals that Muko is a high school dropout in Chapter 24, having left school eighteen months before the events of the chapter, making Muko 18-19 years old by the events of the chapter.
  • Wall Jump: Does this to perform a drop kick in Chapter 21 in a rematch against Kalita.
  • Wardrobe Malfunction: She breaks her pants while doing squats in Chapter 26, much to her dismay.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: She gets weak knees if she spends too much time in proximity of hot girls, which hampers her fighting ability. It goes up to eleven when she's reduced to Lustful Melt from too much exposure. The fact that she wants to be a Combagal, a career where she will be fighting lots of hot gals, means she has to overcome this weakness.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: A subdued one in Chapter 18 as when Cookie finally explains why she has a bad reputation and her taking a life (she got Freydar injured and ruined her career), Muko points out she's happy Cookie is no murderer but that she's disappointed that she wasn't honest with her from the start.
  • White Bunny: She has white fur, albeit with some black highlights on her hair.
  • Working-Class Hero: This was Muko's intended motif at the start of the series. Cookie was going to have her do part time jobs to promote Muko across Botaun. However, thanks to the Spotter tarnishing Muko's reputation, they had to settle with the Masked Luchador motif.
  • Worth It: She considers getting kicked in the face by Roora this since she saw the bump that she got on her head as the closest thing she had to an autograph.
  • You Killed My Father: After Sephario claims that she caused Trilamity Day, Muko has a breakdown upon remembering the death of her mother. She yells at Sephario that she killed her mother while she melts from the stress. Sephario just liquifies Muko with a few punches.

     Cookie L'Asagne

Cookie L'Asagne

A struggling manager, Cookie is a small squirrel who dreamed of being a Combagal when she was young, but couldn't cut it due to her short height. As a result of not achieving her dreams, Cookie decided to become a manager to train her own Combagal champion. Things did not go as planned and now she's known as "Misfortune Cookie" with her only chance being her demanding professional Combagal client, Nyarai, and her new aspiring Combagal client, Muko.

Misfortune Cookie

  • Accidental Pervert: She watches Muko masturbate when she enters her room in Chapter 19, much to their embarrassment.
  • A-Cup Angst: In Chapter 30, Ida pushes Cookie's Berserk Button by telling her that she outgrew her. She then adds salt to the wound by having Cookie touch her larger breasts. Cue Cookie trying to tackle her and getting prickled in the face by Ida's quills.
Cookie: For a squirrel I'm tall! And well-endowed! Get tackled!
  • The Alcoholic: A flashback in Chapter 19 revealed that she became this after Freydar quit her agency and then Cookie sold the rest of her Combagals to Shun Gonfano. With no business flowing, she started drowning her sorrows, until she ended at Shun's nightclub, making a fool of herself in front of him and her former Combagals.
  • Arch-Enemy: She is this to Shun Gonfano and the Cyclone Crushers. The Cyclone Crushers resent her for her role in Freydar's retirement. Shun needs to get her to retire to keep Freydar as a trainer in his team.
  • Arc Heroine: Of Part 1. Cookie acts as The Mentor to Muko, teaching her the basics of furry fighting, becoming her manager, and helping her overcome her social anxiety. While she doesn't fight, Cookie's positive feedback helps Muko during the early chapters of the comic and sets up their relationship in the following arcs.
  • Barefoot Cartoon Animal: She walks around barefoot, although this is mainly because her feet appear to be digitigrade paws due to her resembling more of a large talking squirrel than the more anthropomorphic characters , making shoes hard to find or use.
  • Benevolent Boss: The reason Muko is so loyal to Cookie is that she's the first adult who ever believed in her and who helped her overcome her struggles. When Cookie is not blinded by greed or recklessness, she acts as a mentor to Muko by giving her advice about furry fighting, caring about her well-being, and acting as a Parental Substitute for her.
  • Berserk Button: Making fun of her height will cause Cookie to shout that she's tall for a squirrel, regardless of the circumstances.
  • Blue Is Heroic: Her manager outfit in Part 4 is blue. Additionally, Cookie's arc in this arc involves confronting her past mistakes and becoming a better person and manager.
  • Broken Pedestal: Most, if not all, of the Cyclone Crushers who work for Shun used to be her Combagals. Based on the look of disappointment and disapproval some of them throw at Cookie when hearing a recording of Cookie apparently fixing a match, it appears that she became this trope to them.
    • Chapter 19 pretty much elaborates on the events of their fallout. After overworking Freydar, resulting in a Career-Ending Injury that gave her a bad reputation as a manager. Cookie sold her Combagals to Shun Gonfano, convinced that they were going to leave her anyway since her relationship with them soured after what happened with Freydar. After getting drunk, Cookie wanders to Club Nighthawk, where she has a drunken episode, being publicly rebuked by her former clients upon seeing what she became once Shun throws money at her to get her to leave.
  • Catchphrase: Cookie usually says this due to Height Angst whenever somebody comments about her low height.
Cookie: "For a squirrel I'm tall!"
  • Character Focus: Part 4 focuses on Cookie's attempts to make up for her past as she becomes a better manager and accepts Freydar's challenge.
  • The Chew Toy: Like Muko, she suffers a lot of indignities for comedic purposes, but they take greater extremes by Cookie's reactions.
  • Child Prodigy: Chapter 58 shows that Cookie was smart for her age, even using her foresight to predict the outcome of races and get enough money to pay for a taxi back home.
  • "Could Have Avoided This!" Plot: As stated by Nyarai in Chapter 14, Cookie could have prevented her betrayal. Back when they met, Nyarai told Cookie she worked at Club Diamond, however Cookie never bothered to contact her even once. Had she done so, she would have found out that Nyarai never worked there and would have eventually discovered that she worked for Shun, preventing the Masato match and the beating that Muko was currently enduring at the moment.
  • Despair Event Horizon: Cookie reaches this at the end of the Masato match after Nyarai betrays her and Muko and then proceeds to win the championship for Shun Gonfano and the Cyclone Crushers. Muko, the only Combagal still loyal to her, quitting as a result of a Heroic BSoD causes Cookie to finally drown in despair.
  • Dream-Crushing Handicap: Cookie being as short as a child made her dream of becoming a Combagal impossible as she didn't have the strength to fight larger opponents.
  • Drowning My Sorrows: She descended into alcoholism, as revealed in Chapter 19, after Freydar's injury.
  • Dumb Blonde: Inverted. Cookie is blonde and one of the smartest characters in the comic, as she's in charge of providing exposition. She was also a successful manager two years ago before her fall from grace.
  • Expecting Someone Taller: This is what Muko tells Cookie the first time they met, causing Cookie to say her Catchphrase for the first time.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: Chapter 19 reveals she used to have long black hair rather than the short blond one. She ripped most of it off along with part of her eyebrows during a drunken episode and then gave herself a haircut and dye after getting rid of her addiction.
  • Fatal Flaw: Recklessness. While Cookie is very smart, she does make spur of the moment decisions, rushing into danger out of Greed or desperation.
  • The Gambling Addict: She resorted to gambling two years prior to the series as revealed in Chapter 21. It's one of the reasons why she has monetary problems.
  • Hartman Hips: She is shown to have this, although it is unknown if this because of her womanly attributes or because of it being a physical trait that all squirrels have.
  • Hated by All: Because of her antics prior the series, Cookie is despised by pro-wrestling fans and her business is soon to ruin. This is due to a Noodle Incident that is yet to be explained. Only Muko seems to like her.
  • Height Angst: Doesn't like to be reminded of her short height, pointing out that she's tall for a squirrel.
  • Heroic BSoD: Does not take Nyarai's betrayal well, especially since she's beating Muko up in the process, as Cookie is confronted by all the Combagals who abandoned her, abandoned yet again by another, and watching the only one loyal enough get beaten up in front of her. It goes up to eleven at the end of the match when Muko quits furry fighting.
  • Hero-Worshipper: Donkizari is her childhood heroine. Cookie even bought Muko an action figure of her and is upset when Muko insults her breasts.
  • How the Mighty Have Fallen: Cookie was once one of the most famous managers in furry fighting. Now she's a former shell of her former self: disgraced, hated by everyone, and with little clients. Her goal is to reclaim her former glory.
  • I Need a Freaking Drink: Cookie drinks alcohol when things go bad for her, mainly after a big loss.
    • The flashback in Chapter 19 reveals that the first thing Cookie did with Shun's money was buy one drink after another. This led to her becoming The Alcoholic in a short time, resulting in an unpleasant encounter with Shun and the Cyclone Crushers with her drunk out of her mind.
    • Chapter 29 shows that Cookie tries to avoid drinking, but she can be pushed to drink again after a shitty day. She desires a drink after Kalita, and then Muko, double her debt by gambling on roulette.
    • Chapter 31 has her being haunted by a ghost of her past self after seeing Freydar challenge her, telling her that they need a drink.
  • Instant Costume Change: She's been shown to be able to dress Muko in costumes by having her pose while Cookie pulls a costume she had from nowhere and putting it on her on record time. She does this on Muko as early as Chapter 3 with a maid outfit, but she can also do it with Combagal outfits as well.
  • It's All My Fault: The events of the Masato championship turn into a huge chip on Cookie's shoulders when Muko is traumatized and quits because of them. Cookie realizes that, if she had done research on Nyarai, she would have found out she was The Mole for Shun and prevented the tragedy. She also acknowledge her lack of responsibility by not training Muko.
  • The Jinx: She's called "Misfortune Cookie" by several characters, more evidently in Part 2. Although the real reason is explained in Chapter 21 as Cookie has been on a two year losing streak that affects her and anybody who works with her. As a result, people think she's cursed and that she infects her misfortune on others if they work with her.
  • Kick the Dog: As Fortune Cookie, she heartlessly refused to let Ida become a Combagal because her quills would hurt her rivals, making her unwanted as an opponent. She then told her to leave since she was useless to her. Later on, she guilt trips Muko into not buying her Cool Mask because she doesn't want to manage a Heel team by guilt tripping her about Adelgund's Heroic Sacrifice to get her to comply.
  • Lame Comeback: She always shouts she's tall for a squirrel, usually when someone taller than her points out that she's smaller than them.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Cookie was very haughty back when she was Fortune Cookie. As such, her becoming a Butt-Monkey can be karma for her previous attitude.
    • As seen in the flashback in Chapter 30 where she callously rejected Ida as a Combagal for her quills not out of kindness but because she was useless to her. Now, she's depending on her for dresses after her fall from grace and is saddened when she refers to her as a client rather than a friend.
  • Licked by the Dog: Muko's constant support despite Cookie's failures as a manager is one of the biggest blessings she's had in a long while and one that she deeply cherishes.
  • The Mentor: To Muko. She was also this to most of the Cyclone Crushers, especially Freydar, whose early retirement caused by Cookie herself is considered My Greatest Failure even to this date.
  • Miss Exposition: Since Muko knows nothing about being a Combagal, Cookie has to teach her, and the audience, terms and rules about pro-wrestling (making their own persona, or choosing to be a Face or a Heel).
  • Money Fetish: Justified as Cookie has been broke for two years. She's in debts and they keep increasing as the chapters go so any chance of getting money is likely to make Cookie happy if it means paying her debts and continuing her dream.
  • My Greatest Failure: Based on her reaction with Nyarai during her Motive Rant detailing her betrayal, an incident involving one of her Combagals, Freydar, is her greatest regret as a manager.
  • My Greatest Second Chance: The first two parts were her attempt at this with Muko and Nyarai being her first two clients in years.
    • As of the end of Part 2, she considers Muko this due to not only wanting to return to being a Combagal despite Nyarai beating her up and traumatizing her but also accepting Cookie back as a manager despite hearing a story that consisted of Cookie essentially failing ALL of her Combagals, who would eventually become the Cyclone Crushers, in a single night.
  • The Napoleon: Short, sensitive about her height, hot-blooded, and passionate.
  • Ocular Gushers: Cookie sheds a river of tears in Chapter 36 when Daikarin tells her that she made the right choice at Trilamity Day. Cookie, who has been hating herself for that, especially because of the hatred she got from fans and furry fighters alike, cries in gratitude for that.
  • Oh, Crap!: She has many moments of this. They are Played for Laughs or Played for Drama depending on the situation.
    • She has lots of these reactions in Chapter 29 when Kalita makes a second loan on her name and bets it on a casino, meaning that Cookie is likely to get her debt doubled.
  • Overly Narrow Superlative: She's tall for a squirrel, according to her, but that doesn't change the fact that she's shorter than everybody else.
  • Persona Non Grata: She is not welcome at gyms as she and Muko get thrown out in three different gyms in Chapter 24. After putting up a facade all day long, Cookie reaches her Rage Breaking Point at the third gym and angrily calls the owner, telling him that she's been punished enough for Trilamity Day. Subverted as the gym owners already forgave Cookie, but they can't let her in because Muko has been painted as a sex offender by a Spotter article.
  • Pet the Dog: Bought Muko a Donkizari action figure despite being low on cash and having to pay debts to her loan sharks.
  • Porn Stash: Downplayed, as what Cookie keeps are old Combagal magazines in mint condition.
  • Relationship Upgrade: She relapses into alcoholism after her Combagals lose the Cookie Crumble Match. Daikarin comforted her and then they grew up close enough to establish a relationship.
  • Riches to Rags: Formerly one of the best Combagals managers ever, Cookie is currently the head of a furry fighting agency in the back of a soapland with poor reviews and only two customers.
  • The Scrooge: Doesn't like spending money (mainly because she's broke) and gets excited at any chance she gets of obtaining money, such as hiring Muko as a Combagal despite having no training because Nyarai needed a fighting partner. She also gets happy when finding a coin on the street.
  • Ship Tease: With Daikarin, as Cookie knows her story, respect her pronouns, and gets a bit defensive when Ida shows a romantic interest in her. By the end of Act 1, they are engaged/married.
  • Shorter Means Smarter: She is easily one of the shortest characters in the series, but she knows a lot about Combagals, mainly because she wanted to be one herself.
  • Suddenly Shouting: Prone to shouting when feeling emotional, either when angry or excited.
  • The Teetotaler: When going to a casino in Chapter 29, Cookie rejects a drink. Justified, as getting drunk got her to lose what little respect her Fortune Gals still had for her.
  • Took a Level in Kindness: Trilamity Day made her more caring about the safety of her Combagals. After Part 2, she's more supportive and encouraging with Muko.
  • Tough Love: A firm believer of this. She scolds Muko for fighting Kalita in Chapter 7 and forces her to drop her pain medicine in the trash to avoid developing an addiction.
  • A Tragedy of Impulsiveness: As Cookie admits in Chapter 18, while it was Freydar who did all of the fighting, it was Cookie who overworked her by forcing her to engage in many matches with little rest, ultimately causing her Career-Ending Injury and destroying both of their lives in the process.
  • Traumatic Haircut: As revealed in Chapter 19, Cookie had long flowing hair, but she started to rip it off in stress after what happened with Freydar. She now sports a shorter hair with bangs.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Downplayed as Cookie is a nice person despite her choices. However, as a child she loved furry fighting and decided to become a manager to help Combagals achieve their dreams. As the flashback in Chapter 30 reveals, Cookie Took a Level in Jerkass by focusing more on victory and profit than helping her Combagals achieve their dreams. It's only after falling to disgrace that she recovered her original idealism by training Muko.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She mentally scolds herself for letting Muko fight Kalita despite the former having no physical training or fighting experience. She later gives Muko a verbal one for making light of her injuries, getting more vocal when she sees painkillers, and ordering Muko to throw them away.
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: When Muko is about to give up in her rematch with Kalita in Chapter 22 because her perverted tendencies cause her to melt, Cookie gives her a motivational speech that turns Muko solid again. She gives her another more heartfelt later, acknowledging Muko as her last lifeline.

     Kalita

Kalita

A tough biker vixen, Kalita is the leader of the Roda-Kira Gang. Muko meets her when she and her gang are trying to coerce protection money from Cafe Carrots while Muko is trying to promote her Combagal career there. A fight ensues during which Cookie sees a possible future as a Combagal within Kalita.

Summoner of Storms

  • All for Nothing: She beats Muko, but the resulting fight destroys Cafe Carrots, meaning that there's no way for them to collect protection money from a wrecked place.
  • All Up to You: With Muko having a breakdown and being liquified by Sephario, the last fight of the Cookie Crumble Match has Kalita face Sephario alone. Despite her best efforts, she ultimately loses.
  • Arc Heroine: Of Part 3. Kalita joining Muko and Cookie as their second Combagal gives them hope and a fighting chance to enter the Tendonchi Challenges in an attempt to fight Bolouma and Skully.
  • Arc Villainess: Of Part 1. Kalita is the first fight Muko has in her entire life and she sets the standards for the type of fights ahead. She also ruins Muko and Cookie's efforts to win money by trying to steal the money they were going to win in The Bet and then destroying the place, putting Cookie in bigger debt despite having to return the money.
  • Badass Biker: She is the leader of a biker gang.
  • Batman Gambit: She comes up with a scheme to pay Cookie's debt using the squirrel's bad luck, a casino, a game of roulette, and a contingency.
  • Batter Up!: Her brief reappearance at the end of Part 2 is pretty much the same as her first appearance in Part 1, the only difference is that she brought a bat this time, and she intends to use it.
  • The Berserker: Kalita has a strong temper that will make her go into an Unstoppable Rage if pushed far enough, destroying her surroundings until the enemy is defeated. This, however, reduces her awareness, which can cause her rivals to surprise her or for Kalita to lose her prize due to unnecessary destruction.
  • Berserk Button: The topic of family is a sore subject to her as she's an orphan. Her argument with Debbie ends when she speaks of how family is the most important thing in the world, forgetting that Kalita is an orphan.
    • Her gang bullying the weak is also one to her as it goes against the principles she and her friends set up when they created it.
  • The Bully: Gantus accuses her of being one after defeating her easily in Chapter 28. Despite the hypocrisy, considering what Gantus had the Roda Kira Gang do, Kalita took it to heart because she sees herself as a warrior who fights others head on, not someone who preys on the weak.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: Muko thinks this of Kalita, rating her a 10 out of 10.
  • Chairman of the Brawl: Kalita uses a chair against Sleepy in Chapter 34.
  • Character Focus: Part 3 focuses on Kalita, starting with her rematch with Muko, her daily life, how she left the Roda Kira Gang, among others.
  • Conveniently an Orphan: She lives at an orphanage, as revealed in Chapter 26, and she’s the oldest girl in her dorm.
  • Cool Big Sis: She lives at an orphanage with other girls that are younger than her. Every day, she wakes up early and cooks breakfast for them, as seen in the beginning of Chapter 26.
  • Cunning Like a Fox: While presented as a hired muscle, Kalita is smart enough to be invited to a college thanks to her high grades. Chapter 29 has her invite Muko and Cookie in a casino to bet in roulette. All of the outcomes are favorable depending on whether or not they succeeded on exploiting Cookie's bad luck. Either Cookie gets her debt repaid or Kalita gets proof of the squirrel's bad luck and goes to her second plan: agree to be Cookie's Combagal.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Her fight with Muko is pretty much this trope in her favor. It pretty much shows how Muko cannot be a Combagal with just looks, popularity, and athleticism if she doesn't have the fighting skill to back them up.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Her fight with Sephario ends with her being overwhelmed by her opponent's superior strength. That being said, she does manage to knock Sephario down, which was a rare achievement.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She's prone to observe Muko and/or Cookie's passionate exchanges before giving a bored remark filled with snark at them.
  • Death Glare: It comes with being a biker. She can give them while dressed as a high school student behind thick glasses and she even gave them as a child in a flashback in Chapter 28.
  • Elemental Punch: She can coat her fist with lightning and use it to deliver a powerful punch, as shown when she gives Muko a One-Hit Kill in their rematch in Chapter 23.
  • Everyone Has Standards: She threatens one of her underlings for sexually harassing one of the maids at Cafe Carrots. She also stops her rampage out of respect for Muko's determination.
  • Flipping the Bird: Kalita flips off people when she's annoyed or pissed off at someone.
  • The Gift: Implied with her not only being a good fighter, but also having the charisma of a good leader despite leading a gang, enough for her followers to promote her. Cookie at one point imagines her as a Combagal.
  • Happily Adopted: After losing the Cookie Crumble Match, Cookie and Daikarin offer to adopt her after they reveal their relationship to her. Though shocked by the development and their offer, Kalita happily accepts to be adopted, having learned to open her heart to others after coming to terms with her past during the previous match.
  • Heel Realization: One of the reasons why she decides not to steal Cafe Carrots at the end besides Villain Respect for Muko is that she helped her rediscover her lost pride. She leaves the store without the money, even though her underlings point out that Gantus, the leadear of gang won't be happy about it.
  • Hoist Hero over Head: Kalita picks up Muko and raises her above her head during the beating she gives. Curiously, Cookie pictures Kalita as a Combagal when she's doing this technique.
  • Ignored Epiphany: Despite recovering her lost biker pride, Kalita reappears as a Loan Shark at the end of Part 2 and the first chapters of Part 3 has her fighting with Muko just like she did back when she was doing the Protection Racket in Part 1.
  • Improbable Use of a Weapon: She strangles Muko with her baseball bat in their rematch.
  • Japanese Delinquents: Kalita is a biker leader despite still being in high school.
  • Jerkass Realization: Chapter 28 ends with Kalita having one after remembering her defeat against Gantus. The next chapter has her agree to become a Combagal and tag with Muko to pay Cookie's debt.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: Despite her strength, Kalita is conscious about the limits of her power enough to refuse to pick a fight when she feels she's outmatched.
  • Loan Shark: At the end of Part 2 showed, Kalita is also this, showing up at Cookie's office at the end of Chapter 19 to demand payment for a loan she made a few chapters ago.
  • My Greatest Failure: She regrets abandoning Sadie to befriend their bullies and later injuring her eye while trying to save face in front of said bullies. This led to Kalita being afraid of making bonds because she felt that she hurt those around her.
  • Navel-Deep Neckline: Enforced by Muko who zips down Kalita's zipper to show her cleavage, often so low it shows her navel.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: As revealed in Part 4, Kalita has issues forming relationships. She feels that people hurt her (as seems with the Roda Kira Gang abandoning and betraying her) or she hurts them (as she did with Sadie by abandoning her to befriend their bullies and injuring her eye). She eventually learns to love again at the climax of the Cookie Crumble Match as she acknowledges Muko as her friend and accepts to be adopted by Cookie and Daikarin.
  • Never Bring a Knife to a Fist Fight: As seen in Chapter 29, Kalita has enough fighting experience that she can casually knock out a FemmeFatale swinging a knife at her.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Kalita ultimately pummels Muko so bad she knocks her unconscious. And she has to go to the hospital.
  • Normal Fish in a Tiny Pond: Deconstructed. Kalita became incredibly strong through years of fighting, becoming a One-Woman Army matched by Debbie and Leyline. However, this meant her strength reached a plateau as she was incapable of fighting stronger enemies that pushed her to surpass her limits. When she fights Gantus in Chapter 28, the strength gap is big enough and Gantus deems her as a "bully" who fights others weaker than her.
  • Not So Above It All: When visiting Ida, she chooses Undead Angels Devourers of Hell as her theme. The costume is an over the top armor with make-up that only she and Ida likes.
  • One-Hit Kill: Played for Laughs when she knocks out Muko in Chapter 22 by flashing her breasts at her!
  • One-Woman Army: Her two lackeys comment that she took a rival biker gang all on her own using her brawling skills.
  • Ordinary High-School Student: Surprisingly enough, this is her main occupation when she’s not being a biker as revealed in Chapter 26, which shows that she’s a senior student applying for college.
  • Out of Focus: She doesn't have much of an appearance in Part 2, other than brief mentions of her and a flashback of her fight with Muko. She does, however, reappear at the end of Chapter 19. She gets proper Character Focus on Part 3.
  • Pet the Dog: She treats Cookie and Muko to a barbecue in Chapter 29 after Muko faints of hunger and Kalita ends up doubling Cookie's debt in the casino. She tops it by agreeing to become a Combagal and teaming up with her.
  • Protection Racket: This is how she got into a fight with Muko. Kalita and her gang usually threaten establishments to pay them for protection. Their latest target was the cafe on which Muko was working to promote her Combagal career.
  • Proud Warrior Race Guy: She has the attitude, as she treats being a biker as a matter of pride and she doesn't like it when her gang is disrespected.
  • Rapid-Fire Fisticuffs: She uses a flurry of punches to knock down Sephario in their match.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech:
    • She gives one to those in Cafe Carrots for being victims and conformists instead of trying to fight back and achieve their dreams like Muko did in Chapter 5.
    • She and Debbie exchange a few in a flashback in Chapter 27. Kalita calls out Debbie for running away from the gang, leader responsibilities, and ideals to marry her doctor because she got scared about her accident. Debbie turns it around by calling out Kalita on her refusal to grow up by not letting go of the past.
  • Red Is Heroic: She uses a red outfit as a biker and as a furry fighter. She's also the only member of the Roda Kira Gang who still follows its original ideals rather than fall into criminal desires. Part 3 also shows that she's a Cool Big Sis to the younger kids at Yoko Orphanage.
  • Red Is Violent: Kalita uses a violent brawling style when fighting. She gave Muko a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown at the end of their first fight.
  • Shock and Awe: Her strongest attack involves channeling lightning into her fist for a devastating punch.
  • Shout-Out: Scenes:On chapter 22 when Kalita decides to go for a One-Hit Kill By flashing her breasts at Muko taking advantage of her Fatal Flaw the scene is a shout-out to Black Orchid's Finishing Move from Killer Instinct
  • Show Some Leg: She flashes her breasts at Muko in Chapter 22 to land a One-Hit Kill on her, knowing that her lust is her greatest weakness and taking advantage that there are no males around. The scene is Played for Laughs but Muko and Cookie's surprise and awe is genuine.
  • Smoking Is Cool: Tends to smoke during fight intermissions and then she starts kicking ass.
  • Starter Villain: She's the first enemy Muko fights when she starts her Combagal journey. It happens again after her 10-Minute Retirement with a rematch on which Muko makes Kalita promise to become her new tag team partner if she wins.
  • Supreme Chef: As Chapter 26 reveals, she is a good cook, as she personally cooks for her fellow orphans every morning.
  • This Is Gonna Suck: She has this reaction when doing photo sessions. The first one when dressed as a cheerleader in Chapter 29 and the second when wearing a bikini in Chapter 30.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Though Kalita decides to keep the money out of respect for Muko's tenacity, it does cause some consequences on the long term. Cookie has to pay the damage to the shop, a reporter made an article that damaged Cookie and Muko's image because of the latter's antics during the fight, and Nyarai's distaste for Cookie increased upon reading the article.
  • Victoria's Secret Compartment: She hid a document with Cookie's signature on the 20,000 moni loan inside her breasts.
  • Villain Respect: Develops this for Muko when the latter kept fighting her until the end despite Kalita beating the snot out of her.
  • Younger Than They Look: Despite her maturity, physical appearance, and fighting skills, Kalita is actually an Ordinary High-School Student in her senior year when she’s not being a biker. It is implied that she is younger than Muko, who is implied to be around 18-19 years old after dropping out of high school eighteen months before the comic started.
  • Zip Me Up: Her jumpsuit has a zipper that allows her to put it on and off herself. It also allows her to show her breasts at others when she feels like it as seen in Chapter 22 against Muko.

     Nyarai

Nyarai

A short-tempered, prideful, and mysterious cheetah, Nyarai is a professional Combagal who is Cookie's client and Muko's soon-to-be tag team partner. Nyarai is a Wild who faces discrimination from the world around her so she has to prove herself and the world by being a Combagal. She works as a hostess for the sumiguza Shun Gonfano.

Turner of Tides

  • Abnormal Limb Rotation Range: In earlier chapters and promos Nyarai displayed feats of flexibility, like stretching her leg behind her shoulder or touching her head with her feet, but her fight with Adelgund has her break her spine and ankle to escape a back breaker hold. She then put herself back in place and demonstrates her double joints by contorting her wrists and ankles to prove how indestructible she is.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: She's amused when Mellow confirms that her paw pads do smell like popcorn after Nyarai forces him to smell her feet. The confirmation causes Nyarai and Jowdie to laugh and for the former to develop a liking towards Mellow, even calling him by name.
  • All for Nothing: Part 3 shows that Nyarai isn't enjoying herself after becoming the Masato Champion. She hasn't gotten any fights since her debut, she doesn't get as many customers in her hostess job, and she hasn't moved forward in her goal to help the Wilds.
  • Alpha Bitch: Is very haughty with Cookie, demands quality partners, and wants all the glory to herself.
  • Antagonist Abilities: Being a Contortionist with an Abnormal Limb Rotation Range gives Nyarai two main advantages. She can dislocate her joints and put them back into place to break free of holds, pretty much making her immune to restraining holds. Considering pro-wrestling is a grappling sport, this is a huge disadvantage. The opponent has to face Nyarai while she's free to use submission holds or they have to face Nyarai at a striking battle, which is her specialty.
  • Arc Heroine: She is initially set up as this for Part 2. As the only Combagal with real training between her and Muko, Cookie expects her to defeat Peki and Adelgund in the Masato match after Muko made enough of an impression. She subverts this by being the Arc Villainess by betraying Cookie and Muko, beating up the latter, convincing Peki to betray Adelgund, and hospitalizing Adelgund at the end of the match.
  • Arc Villainess: She cements herself as this during the Masato match as she shows to be more evil and dangerous than Adelgund and Peki, the Masato Champions that she and Muko were supposed to face. Peki and Adelgund were given sympathetic backstories or Pet the Dog moments during the match, but Nyarai gleefully betrays Muko and Cookie, traumatizes the former, and hospitalized Adelgund at the end of the match.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Girl: Let's see the list. Arrogant and proud of herself? Check! Her fighting style is more akin to martial arts style Kung-Fu with her Kick Chick gimmick than the typical wrestling style? Check! She can back up her claims with her power? Check! Nyarai is definitely this trope.
  • Battle Aura: Fire surrounds her when activating Leg-Jet Burst.
  • Battle Strip: She tears off the costume she wore to fight in a bikini when she betrays Team Deliverance and forms Team Firestorm with Peki, symbolizing her true allegiance with Shun Gonfano and the Cyclone Crushers.
  • Berserk Button: Grope her and Nyarai will gladly deform your face with her foot as soon as Shun gives her permission. Also, show Fantastic Racism towards her for being a wild, even if you do so indirectly, and Nyarai will stomp you to the ground like she did with Cookie for "pulling the wild card" on her.
  • Blood Knight: Nyarai is itching for a fight and will settle with violence or a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown if she can't find a Worthy Opponent to test her skill.
  • Break the Haughty: Experienced this in Chapter 15, when Adelgund breaks her nose with a well-placed knee strike. Nyarai has to wobble to the corner to tag Peki in and faints out of blood loss as the audience jeers at her. She does get back at Adelgund two chapters later.
  • Cats Are Mean: Nyarai is a proud, short-tempered, sadistic, aggressive (physically and verbally) cheetah so she fits this trope.
  • Character Focus: While Part 2 shows Muko's debut match, it ultimately focus more about Nyarai's debut, as well as her antagonistic relationship with Cookie. The trope becomes much apparent when Nyarai wins the debut match and becomes the Masato champion after defeating Adelgund.
  • Cherry Tapping: Stomps on Adelgund's face after knocking her out if only so that she can have a victory pose over the former champion.
  • Cheshire Cat Grin: Nyarai's typical smile when she's hurting or about to hurt others. It evolves into a Slasher Smile when she's about to do something horrible to you.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: Nyarai loves to put the hurt on others, but that doesn't mean that she doesn't mind getting hurt in the process. Both Muko and Adelgund learn this through a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that leaves the former a crying mess and the latter unconscious.
  • Contortionist: A flashback in Chapter 7 has Nyarai stretch herself in Cookie's office, even touching her head with her feet. During Chapter 17 it is confirmed that she is this confirmed with Abnormal Limb Rotation Range in her fight with Adelgund.
  • Cruelty by Feet: Nyarai already uses her feet brutally with her sadistic kicking style, but she's also not above stomping on her foes when they are on the mat, grinding her foot on their head as she mocks them.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Adelgund takes her out in one blow during their first fight. Once Nyarai wakes up, she returns the favor with a never ending barrage of kicks.
  • A Day in the Limelight:
    • Chapter 6 is this to her in Part 1 as the previous five chapters focused on Muko, Cookie, and Kalita. It focuses on Nyarai's personality, her job as a hostess, and her relationships with the Cyclone Crushers. Fittingly, Part 2 gives her a lot of Character Focus afterwards.
    • Chapter 33 focuses on Mellow visiting her at Club Nighthawk. The chapter elaborates more on Nyarai's true personality, her friendship with Jowdie, and her interaction with Mellow.
  • Death Glare: Gives a threatening glare to Mellow when he shows reluctance at her request of smelling her feet, silently letting him know she wasn't asking and that there'll be consequences if he doesn't comply.
  • Defeating the Undefeatable: She defeats Adelgund in Chapter 17 and is crowned champion as of Chapter 18, being the first one to defeat her in her long reign.
  • Demon Head: Nyarai turns into a giant flaming head in Chapter 33 out of sheer frustration towards Mellow for not reading the Spotter article she wanted him to read.
  • Does Not Like Men: Complains about men after beating up a perverted hippo customer in Chapter 6. Shun tries to correct her from this opinion by telling her not all men are like that.
  • Dramatic Dislocation: She breaks her own spine in Chapter 17 to escape Adelgund's best move, reveal her Abnormal Limb Rotation Range to the audience, and her ability to No-Sell grappling moves.
  • Elemental Punch: Fire surrounds her legs when using Leg-Jet Burst, which is portrayed as fire-coated kicks.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Having been a victim of Fantastic Racism all of her life, Nyarai desires to make a better world for the Wilds.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Nyarai has a genuine friendship with her fellow hostesses...the Cyclone Crushers, who show concern for her safety and happiness for her victory.
  • Experience Entitlement: One of Nyarai's demands for her tag-team partner was for Cookie to partner her with an experienced Combagal. She was very dissatisfied when her partner was Muko.
  • Extremity Extremist: She likes to use her legs for devastating kicks. Subverted in the ring where she actually uses her arms for wrestling holds, punches, and slaps. This is seen in her fight with Muko and when she attempts to lift Adelgund by grabbing her ankles. Double subverted when her second fight with Adelgund reveals that her legs are her greatest weapons and then defeats her with a flurry of kicks, each one stronger than the last one.
  • Face of an Angel, Mind of a Demon: Nyarai is very beautiful, but she's very brutal and sadistic in combat. Deconstructed as Part 3 shows that Nyarai barely gets any clients as a hostess because most people now know how brutal she can be.
  • Fantastic Racism: A victim of discrimination against Wilds. It's also a Berserk Button of hers.
  • Fearsome Foot: There is a close-up of her foot stomping the mat in Chapter 14 as she's about to fight Muko.
  • Female Feline, Male Mutt: She meets Mellow in Chapter 33.
  • Finishing Stomp: Stomps Adelgund's face despite the latter being knocked out by her finishing kick if only to do a victory pose. Counts as Cherry Tapping and Kick the Dog since Adelgund was unconscious and Nyarai didn't need to step on her face to celebrate her victory.
  • Flash Step: She reveals the ability to do this in Chapter 16, disappearing from the field of sight of her friends to cross large distances in a second.
  • Foot Focus: Nyarai gets lots of close-up to her feet, mainly due to her being barefooted and specializing in kicks. Even illustrations and non-canon comics find a way to showcase them.
  • For the Evulz: She bullies Mellow more out of boredom and sadism than Pragmatic Villainy in Chapter 33, with the wiener dog feeling like he's going to die.
    • On the same chapter, Jowdie reveals that Nyarai bullies her clients and then kicks them in the face after she's done with them. For reference, Nyarai was only allowed to assault clients with Shun's permission after they did something forbidden like groping her. The number of victims is so great she barely gets any clients and Jowdie has to intervene and lecture Nyarai on proper hostess etiquette to prevent Mellow from being her next victim.
  • Gem-Encrusted: She has a phone filled with diamonds as shown in Chapter 10. Cookie calls her out because of how tacky it looks, much to her embarrassment.
  • Get Over Here: She invokes this on herself with the rings she wears. She lets her opponents grab them and pull her towards them in order to get close to them. Since Nyarai is a Combat Sadomasochist , she does not mind getting hurt as long as she gets the chance of hurting her opponents back.
  • Gold-Colored Superiority: Nyarai wears a lot of gold jewelry in her outfits and is a powerful Combagal. Her battle prowess makes her worthy of joining the elite Cyclone Crushers and capable enough to defeat Adelgund to become the Masato Champion.
  • Hair-Trigger Temper: Nyarai has a short temper even when a Berserk Button is not being pushed. She doesn't like perverts, screams in annoyance that Cookie's office is dirty, and is seething when meeting Muko.
  • Having a Blast: The last blow of Jet Leg Burst. Once Nyarai has warmed up her body after kicking her opponent enough times, she unleashes a final devastating kick that creates an explosion.
  • High-Class Call Girl: She works as a hostess when not fighting as a Combagal. She hates the fake smiling and perverted customers there.
    • Part 3 shows that Nyarai still works as a hostess despite becoming the Masato champion. The only difference is that she doesn't get as many clients as before due to no longer having to hide her personality.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: The first half of the Masato match has her use a style of punches, slaps, and wrestling holds against Muko and Adelgund. While Muko loses due to inexperience, Adelgund easily takes down Nyarai with a One-Hit Kill thanks to years of experience. Nyarai wins the rematch when she reverts back to her Kick Chick style and wins by a landslide.
  • I Have You Now, My Pretty: An interesting case in Chapter 33 as Nyarai is the pretty one between her and Mellow and yet she's the one tormenting him.
  • I Kiss Your Foot: Enforced as she makes Mellow smell her feet at the climax of Chapter 33 to see if her paw pads smell like popcorn. Half of it is just to mess with him in a less violent way and the other is to see if Mellow is indeed sincere about being her fan. His response that her paws do smell like popcorn amused her enough that she developed a liking to him.
  • Invisible Means Undodgeable: At her fastest, Nyarai's kicks are impossible to be seen with the eyes and therefore nigh-impossible to dodge. Adelgund could still block them by keeping her guard up during Nyarai's assault, but she ended up with both arms paralyzed from accumulated damage and open for the final blow.
  • Irony:
    • Nyarai practices yoga, or the equivalent of it in the comic, to develop her flexibility and agility. Yoga is supposed to promote spirituality and inner peace, but Nyarai is short-tempered, violent, sadistic, and only appears to practice it for the physical benefits it provides.
    • Nyarai has a fondness for bling as she carries necklaces, bracelets, and earrings made of gems and rare metals. However, she's a cheapskate greater than Cookie. Jowdie actually had to buy Nyarai her Gem-Encrusted phone and give it to her as a gift because Nyarai couldn't bring herself to buy it out of cheapness.
  • It's Personal: According to her, one of the reasons she hates Cookie is because one of Cookie's previous Combagals, Freydar, was hurt or killed because of her failure as a manager. This is why Nyarai is willing to spy, sabotage, and betray Cookie.
  • It Was a Gift: Her Gem-Encrusted phone was given to her by Jowdie, as revealed in Chapter 33. Nyarai wanted to buy it, but was too cheap to do so despite her weakness for bling, forcing Jowdie to buy it for her as a gift instead. She's annoyed and embarrassed when Jowdie tells this story to Mellow.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: She may be a disrespectful client to Cookie, but she has a point in that Cookie must earn her respect and the squirrel has a poor score as a manager. Likewise, her dislike for Muko can be justified as Muko's reasons for being a Combagal are childish and perverted whereas Nyarai had to deal with racism to reach where she is.
  • Karma Houdini: Part 2 ends with her betraying Muko and Cookie, beating up Muko, hospitalizing Adelgund, and becoming the new Masato Champion. Downplayed as Muko and Cookie swear to defeat her as of Chapter 19 in order to avert this.
  • Kick Chick: Nyarai has long flexible legs that she likes to use to smack every person who incurred her wrath in the face, like a perverted hippo customer at her host club or Cookie for pulling a "wild card" on her. Even in the ring, her fight with Peki was going to start with an overhead kick and the poster for the fight with Team Executor has Nyarai doing a flying kick.
    • Her second round with Adelgund finally confirms her status as this as she uses nothing but kicks and once Shun confirms that her legs are her greatest weapons, Nyarai delivers a flurry of kicks to Adelgund, who is left blocking until Nyarai finally connects her most powerful one yet.
  • Kick the Dog: The meanest of the four protagonists.
    • Chapter 7 has her refusing to help Cookie despite needing her help to get a match. She also mocked her for her failures as well. The arguments ends with her stomping Cookie to the ground when she believes Cookie pulled a Wild Card on her, and then threatening to quit and fight Cookie's Combagal instead. Which she ended up doing anyway.
    • Chapter 14 is this from beginning to end as Nyarai finishes her betrayal by giving Muko a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that traumatized her and drove Cookie to tears by mocking her.
    • Chapter 33 has her bullying Mellow despite being a paying customer who didn't do anything to her other than him cheering for Muko during the Masato match. It is implied by her facial expressions and by Jowdie's lines that she was going to kick him in the face out of sadism rather than by him doing anything worth punishing, like the hippo in Chapter 6.
      • Jowdie also implies in the same page that most, if not all, of Nyarai's clients had been kicked in the face more because she wasn't being a good hostess than them being bad clients.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Her last scene in Part 4 has her being humbled. Muko, the Combagal rookie she betrayed and humiliated at her debut match, strangles her and makes her relive her trauma. Nyarai can only cry and apologize to Freydar after she's removed from the ring, only for Freydar to call her mediocre and seal her in a sarcophagus.
  • Licking the Blade: Actually licking the foot. After contorting herself in front of Adelgund to boast her flexibility and indestructibility, Nyarai licks her foot to prepare it for kicking Adelgund into oblivion. Serves as a Furry Reminder as felines use their flexibility to lick their legs in order to groom themselves.
  • Logical Weakness: Her flexible body makes her immune to submission holds. However, she can be knocked out by strikes, thrown around, pinned down, or strangled.
  • Marathon Boss: Muko and Kalita have to take turns facing her across many chapters until Muko finally defeats her.
  • The Mole: As it turns out, she was working for Shun Gonfano all along. She hired Cookie as her manager to get information on her in order to get an opportunity for Shun to promote the Cyclone Crushers.
  • No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Gives one to Muko that leaves her bloody and in tears.
    • Her finishing move Jet Leg Burst is this as it's a flurry of kicks that get stronger and faster, ending with an explosive kick.
  • Noodle Incident: Apparently, at the end of Part 2 and most of Part 3, Nyarai returned to being a hostess with the only exception being that she now uses her real personality rather than the fake smiling persona. The results were bad as Nyarai bullied her customers and kicked them in the face with little provocation, making her the least popular hostess of the club. By the time Mellow visits her in Chapter 33, he's her only client.
  • No-Sell: Her flexibility makes her immune to restraining holds as Adelgund painfully found out.
  • Offhand Backhand: She gives a perfect Breast Attack to Muko without even looking while she's more focused on mocking Cookie.
  • One-Hit Kill: She's introduced by literally kicking a bulky hippo who groped her with a single blow, showcasing how strong a Combagal can be. Adelgund later knocks her out with a knee to the face.
  • Out of Focus: Just like Kalita in Part 2, Nyarai doesn't receive much attention in Part 3. Downplayed as she gets mentioned repeatedly and she appears in the occasional cameo or Imagine Spot to show that Muko and Cookie still consider her a threat to defeat. She does get A Day in the Limelight in Chapter 33.
  • Panthera Awesome: She's a cheetah and one of the four protagonists of the comic and she has a fighting style that focuses on swift and powerful kicks.
  • Playing with Fire: An official poster of the fight with Team Executor shows Nyarai throwing a flaming flying kick. Later on, when Nyarai fights Adelgund, she shows that she can set her feet on fire by using Jet Leg Burst. It is unknown if Nyarai is igniting her feet by kicking with immense strength and speed or the fire is just visual effects, but the damage is nonetheless impressive as Adelgund can prove.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: Her bullying of Mellow counts as a Kick the Dog moment throughout Chapter 33, but she has a good reason. Part of what made her victory against Adelgund so significant was her working as The Mole to find a perfect chance to paint Cookie as the villain and she also beat up Muko in front of Mellow, one of her few fans who just admitted was in love with her. She's obviously suspecting Mellow of trying to spy on her and the Cyclone Crushers for Muko and Cookie to get revenge. Downplayed, as Mellow poses too little of a threat and Nyarai is bullying him out of boredom and sadism.
  • Pride: Nyarai is arrogant and confident in her fighting abilities. She demands the best, whether in partners or even in accommodations. It fits with her high opinion as a high quality Combagal and hostess.
  • Psychotic Smirk: When Nyarai is not grinning like a maniac, she's smirking at the suffering of others.
  • Scarf of Asskicking: Her original outfit for the Masato match included a fancy scarf. She ditches it with a Battle Strip in Chapter 13 to show her betrayal.
  • The Scrooge: Cookie describes her as a bigger cheapskate than her, which is saying something as Nyarai has a big salary as a hostess while Cookie has a lot of debt.
  • Seductive Mummy: Her Combagal attire in Part 4 has her wrapped in mummy bandages while still showing her shapely body. She still has a bikini underneath when Muko removes her bandages at the start of their second fight.
  • Slasher Smile: Nyarai usually does this when she's about to hurt someone.
  • Smug Smiler: Besides her sadism, Nyarai's smiles highlight how smug she can be.
  • Spotlight-Stealing Squad: In-Universe , according to Cookie, who points out that Nyarai has the ability to attract the attention to her regardless of who ends up as her partner.
  • Strong and Skilled: Once she unleashes her full strength, she can take on and humiliate Adelgund. Cookie even goes as far as to say that she's beyond pro-level.
  • Super-Speed: Being a cheetah, Nyarai is one of the fastest Combagals in the comic. She can pull off a Flash Step easily and kicks so fast her legs either turn invisible or covered in flames.
  • Tickle Torture: Invoked by Nyarai. She suspected Mellow was acting as The Mole for Team Starkiller, so she made a fake weakness by claiming that she had ticklish feet. Once Muko tickled her during their match, Nyarai verified that Mellow was a spy, promising vengeance on him once she wins the match.
  • Throwing the Fight: Defied in her backstory. She and Lenny were supposed to lose their championship match against the Terrifying Tigress Twins. However, the duo won their match, causing the Water Mafia to put Nyarai in prison.
  • Troll: Nyarai can have a sadistic sense of humor, as seen in the Masato match.
    • She pretends to tag Muko when she's fighting Adelgund...and then turns her back while pretending not to hear her.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: Fights in a bikini against Muko and Adelgund once she switches to Team Firestorm.
  • What Is This Feeling?: She's left confused when people praise her in Chapter 18 after defeating Adelgund and becoming the new Masato Champion as she's not used to people giving Wilds respect.
  • When She Smiles: Can give a few pleasant smiles rather than fake ones, smug ones, or psychotic ones. She gives a few adorable ones when Mellow compliments her in Chapter 33. The chapter ends with a genuine smile of amusement when Nyarai develops a liking towards Mellow.
  • Why Did It Have to Be Snakes?: Chapter 47 shows that she has a phobia of being choked since she was strangled by a sadistic guard during her time in prison. Muko defeats her by strangling her, which forces Freydar to remove her.

Team Starkiller's Allies

As a result of Cookie's low reputation among furry fighting, any team that she manages has a very low fanbase. Regardless, despite her ostracized status, she and her Combagals have a bunch of allies to help them on the way.

     Mellow

Mellow

A high-strung wiener dog working at a convenience store. He has a crush on Muko.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/a251bd8f_daf8_431f_bb83_ec52f95616a4.jpeg
Muko's Friend and Fan.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 33 has him visit Club Nighthawk to meet Nyarai, sharing the spotlight of the chapter with her.
  • Bad Liar: He tries to convince Nyarai that he no longer has feelings for Muko because the Spotter article made him realize she had a cat fetish. He then tells Nyarai that he was amazed by her victory against Adelgund hence why he switched. Nyarai didn't believe him and it's obvious from her face that she only listened out of amusement and ego stroking.
  • Badly Battered Babysitter: One of the jobs Mellow takes to get enough money to enter Club Nighthawk is babysitting. One of his clients is a mother of five babies who cry loudly and pulls on his face.
  • Cassandra Truth: He tries to tell Muko about Cookie's past, but she hangs up on him because she's playing video games.
  • Comically Missing the Point: He believes that Muko's romance with Matroshka means that she has a cat fetish rather than her being a lesbian. This clues Nyarai that Mellow is lying as Muko flirted with her back when they first met.
  • Determinator: He takes multiple jobs and sells his beloved Combagal collection to earn enough money to enter Club Nighthawk.
  • Everyone Has Standards: As scared as he is of Nyarai, even he took a pause to notice how tacky her phone case was.
  • I Kiss Your Foot: He's forced by Nyarai to smell her feet after Jowdie makes a proposal based on a rumor about cat paw pads smelling like popcorn. As it turns out, Nyarai's paws do smell like popcorn, amusing her and Jowdie enough that they respect him by the end of the chapter.
  • Female Feline, Male Mutt: For reasons unknown, he decides to meet Nyarai in Chapter 33. He eventually gets her respect at the end of the chapter.
  • Incompatible Orientation: Mellow has a crush on Muko, who unfortunately is very girl crazy.
  • Ironic Name: Mellow is far from what his name in terms of personality. He's high-strung, nervous, and emotional.
  • Made of Iron: He has the mental endurance and the stamina to take three additional jobs besides his job as a cashier, all of them exhausting in their own right. He also shows the physical variation as he gets hit by a car when working as a bicycle courier and yet he's still fine in the rest of the page.
  • Mellow Fellow: Inverted as he is very high-strung and very anxious.
  • Mr. Exposition: Explained to Muko (and the audience) about furry fighting during Chapter 1 every time there was a major breakthrough in the fight between Fenny and Roora.
  • Nervous Wreck: He gets anxious easily around girls, as seen when he tries to ask out Muko in the flashback in Chapter 8.
  • Prefers Going Barefoot: Nyarai is shown to walk barefooted inside and outside of the ring. A flashback in Chapter 47 shows that she was a barefooter since she was a child.
  • Those Two Guys: With Harry as they are Muko's biggest fans.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: Her flashback in Chapter 47 shows Nyarai being more cheerful and idealistic when she was a kid. A harsh life dealing with Fantastic Racism and being unfairly sent to prison made her more bitter, cynical, and sadistic.

     Harry S. Fishkopp

Muko's first fan. He's a fish who was fired from his job and abandoned by his family, but he found a new reason to live on Muko.

Muko's Number One Fan.

  • Batter Up!: He assaults Miho with a baseball bat at the end of Chapter 34.
  • Berserk Button: His reaction in Chapter 26 upon seeing so much hate comments towards Muko borders on Tranquil Fury as he looks ominous. He later assaulted Miho with a bat for destroying Muko's reputation.
  • Driven to Suicide: Was planning on killing himself, but Muko treating him with kindness through a fanservice style maid cafe and then seeing her fight Kalita inspired him to keep living.
  • Embarrassing Nickname: Muko only remembers him as fish-guy and Nyarai calls him fish-face when talking about him.
  • Sanity Slippage: Watching Muko be slandered by the Spotter and receive hate comments on the Internet affected his mental health. After spending a fruitless endeavor defending Muko's honor from her haters, Harry decides to assault Miho with a baseball bat for incriminating Muko on Chapter 34.
  • Shout-Out: His scene at the end of Chapter 34 is one to Paranoia Agent.
  • Those Two Guys: With Mellow as he attends with him to Muko's first match.
  • Undying Loyalty: He's Muko's first fan and the most loyal one despite her poor battle performance and her bad reputation.

     Ida Huggler

Ida Huggler

An old friend of Cookie. She's a hedgehog who became the greatest tailor in Tendonchi by using her own quills as sewing needles.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/480c27b2_4191_4fb4_bb6f_70eed38ff429.jpeg
Best Tailor of Tendonchi.

  • Brutal Honesty: She makes it clear to Cookie that they aren't friends after the introductory flashback. Justified as Cookie shattered her dreams and is now shamelessly pretending that they're friends.
  • Call-Back: She was mentioned in Chapter 3 by Cookie as the one who made the maid outfit for Muko. She appears later in Chapter 30 to make official Combagal outfits for Cookie now that she completed her Combagal tag team.
  • Dream-Crushing Handicap: Her quills made her dream of becoming a Combagal impossible as she can't wrestle her opponents without hurting them with them. Ironically, she used them to become a tailor.
  • The Gadfly: She spends the end of Chapter 30 pushing Cookie's buttons. This includes reminding her of her bad career, poor reputation, and insulting her body image whereas Ida got a great job as the best tailor in Tendonchi and is taller and better endowed than Cookie.
  • The Gift: Cookie describes her as having a third eye for fashion and she became the best tailor in Tendonchi in just three years.
  • Irony: Her quills destroyed her Combagal dreams, but they also helped her to pursue her new passion for fashion.
  • Natural Weapon: Being a hedgehog, Ida has large quills that act as a poking hazard. Deconstructed, since this makes her incapable of taking furry fighting as she's likely to injure her opponents by accident with the slightest mistake.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: She doesn't see a problem with undead angels of hell or a Cool Mask that's apparently cursed because they suit her artistic choices.
  • Wingding Eyes: She gets glowing eyes when presenting her designs or when her clients have fashion choices that match hers.
  • Rags to Riches: The flashback at the beginning of Chapter 30 showed her with little belongings and simple clothing. Three years later, Ida is a Self-Made Woman as the best tailor in Tendonchi.
  • Self-Made Woman: The flashback showed that she had nothing besides a few belongings when she first met Cookie. Three years later, Ida is the best tailor in Tendonchi, using her own quills as needles.

     Daikarin

Daikarin

A popular cougar singer who works at a bar. She is Cookie's choice as a trainer for Muko as a Combagal. Her past is detailed in Chapter 32.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/d29f101b_2d5c_4ae5_9832_fa97d8ee04fb.jpeg
The Great Daikarin.

  • Badass Teacher: Cookie wanted her to train Muko since Chapter 26.
  • Dance Battler: She has her students use dancing drills to warm up and improve their footwork.
  • Foreshadowing: Cookie intended to make her Muko's trainer back in Chapter 26 to help her train, pointing out she and Muko have a lot in common. Both of them have a negative reaction with the public in their respective careers, Muko as a Combagal because she's painted as a sex offender, and Daikarin had her reputation as Paipu Katto ruined as a Creepy Crossdresser before she bounced back.
  • Interspecies Adoption: She and Cookie adopt Kalita, who is a fox.
  • Interspecies Romance: She is a cougar and Cookie is a squirrel.
  • My Greatest Failure: She considers the break up of the Doable Dolls to be her fault, so she returns to training Combagals to help them make a comeback.
  • Ship Tease: With Cookie, as she sympathizes with the squirrel's predicament and has a lot in common with her. The final chapters of Act 1 has them engaged/married.
  • Smoking Is Not Cool: She firmly believes this, refusing to let Kalita smoke when she trains under her.
  • Training from Hell: She makes Team Starkiller make their own ring by transporting the pieces to the roof of Monyan and build the ring for hours. Then she has them do drill and have a sparring match on their first day of training.
  • Wham Shot: Chapter 32 reveals that she's the trainer Cookie intended to hire...and that she's also Paipu Katto after transitioning into a woman.

Team Executor

The champions of the Masato District. Adelgund is a large Saint Bernard and the holder of the belt. She's known as "The Major" and is widely known as a symbol of justice in her district. Her partner Peki is a penguin with a meek and depressed personality. She's known as "The Prisoner" for attempting to steal Adelgund's belt some time ago. Their manager is Dinedon, who is a shrewd businessman. Their matches always start with some cheering from the Exe-Cutie-Ves, who act as Adelgund's personal admirers. They are the first opponents that Team Deliverance (Muko and Nyarai) have to face in their debut match. Despite preparations for Cookie, the Masato match turns out to be nothing like what was expected from either Team Deliverance or Team Executor...

In General

The Masato Champions

  • Arc Villain: They are set up to be this for Part 2 as Muko and Nyarai's first enemies in their debut match. It ends up being Played With and subverted with both of them. Peki betrayed Adelgund, setting up the stage for Nyarai's betrayal, but she had genuine and sympathetic reasons to betray Adelgund. Meanwhile, Adelgund for all of her flaws, becomes the Arc Hero of Part 2 by sacrificing herself to save Muko from Nyarai by not tagging her into the match to prevent her from getting hurt and show her the true essence of furry fighting.
  • Battle Couple: Adelgund and Peki are implied to be a couple based on their interactions and flashbacks. This makes the ending of the Masato match all the more tragic as it is implied that they broke up.
  • Breaking the Fellowship: This is their fate at the end of Part 2. Adelgund had her reputation ruined and is hospitalized. Peki joined the Cyclone Crushers, but she is hospitalized with three broken limbs. Miho leaves the Exe-Cutie-Ves, who are left crying over Adelgund's body. And Dinedon retires from furry fighting, revealing he betrayed Cookie and his Combagals to Shun Gonfano and his plans.
  • Dark Horse Victory: As revealed in a flashback of Chapter 15, Team Executor wasn't very popular in their early days because of Adelgund's masculine appearance and excessive strength hurting their rivals. By learning to control her power, she and Peki managed to turn their luck around and become champions in a few years.
    • Adelgund also becomes a victim of this against Nyarai, who defeats her in her debut match after already Adelgund already defeated Peki in a rematch for the Masato Belt.
  • A Death in the Limelight: They don't die, but their defeats take place in chapters that gives them focus.
    • Chapter 16 shows Peki initially winning her fight, until she has a flashback explaining her betrayal, mainly Adelgund cheating on her. She gets Blinded by Rage as she pummels Adelgund, leaving herself open to her former partner, who breaks her arm and legs.
    • Chapter 17 shows Adelgund's defeat after losing the support of her fans. As she realizes that Nyarai is an opponent she can't beat, she has a Heel Realization when Muko tries to help her. Touched, Adelgund decides to let Nyarai defeat her to let Muko understand the true meaning of furry fighting.
  • History Repeats: Team Executor became famous after Peki pulled a Face–Heel Turn and attempted to take Adelgund's belt, losing the fight and becoming her prisoner. The Masato match has Peki betray Adelgund for real after years of dealing with abuse and neglect, using her true strength against her to recover the belt and glory that she lost. Sadly, she ends up losing again and ends with broken limbs despite her best efforts.
  • Poor Communication Kills: Chapter 16 shows that Peki and Adelgund have communication issues. Adelgund does not pick on subtle hints and is Innocently Insensitive while Peki can be too passive, expecting Adelgund to understand what she feels. Years of this lack of communication, plus other factors lead to Peki betraying Adelgund.
  • We Used to Be Friends: More than friends actually...which makes their fight and break up all the more tragic.
  • Woman Scorned: They brutalize each other over their perceived betrayals. Peki because Adelgund cheated on her and abandoned her. Adelgund because Peki left her for a new partner.

     Adelgund

Adelgund

A large Saint Bernard woman, Adelgund is Peki's tag team partner and a champion Combagal in Botaun. She has an interest in Muko and agrees to be Team Deliverance's first opponent in a fixed match.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/9bae6d9d_6497_4be0_8855_b59e9af15c93.jpeg
The Major

  • All Women Are Lustful: She has a crush on Muko, eyes a stripper in Chapter 10, and her cheering team is full of Bodyguard Babes with a crush on her.
  • Always Someone Better: Believes in this trope, claiming that she loves furry fighting because there's always a "bigger predator." Nyarai turned out to be that predator in Chapter 17.
  • Arc Heroine: Ironically of Part 2. Adelgund, for all of her flaws, was willing to give up her belt to return to a Face team with Peki. She also tried to mentor Muko during their match while entertaining the audience. She avenges Muko's defeat against Nyarai by breaking her nose. And then pulls a Heroic Sacrifice to prevent Muko from being hospitalized by a revitalized Nyarai, teaching her the meaning of furry fighting in the process.
  • Blind Obedience: To Dinedon, agreeing with his decisions without questions. An example is seen in Chapter 15 when she agrees with Dinedon in his idea of the Face–Heel Turn against Peki's protests, because she trusts their manager. Said trust was misplaced as Peki would later betray Team Executor years later and Dinedon would later sold them out for money.
  • Boots of Toughness: Wears a pair of boots as part of her Combagal attire.
  • Brawn Hilda: Adelgund is very large and masculine looking, much to Muko's dismay.
  • Broken Pedestal: After defeating Peki by breaking her arm, and then stomping on her legs despite no longer being in conditions to fight, Adelgund lost all the love and respect of her fans, with only her assistants still supporting her.
  • Butch Lesbian: Shows interests in females, has a masculine appearance, and even dresses in masculine clothes. She also used to be on a relationship with Peki before her infidelity caused Peki to break things off with her.
  • Chick Magnet: Her personal assistants are not only her cheerleading squad, but they're the fans with the biggest crush on her.
  • Curb Stomp Cushion: Her second fight with Nyarai ends with the latter demolishing Adelgund. That being said, the fact that Adelgund forced Nyarai to reveal the true extent of her flexibility to escape Adelgund's best hold and then use her best technique to defeat her shows that Adelgund still posed a bit of a threat to Nyarai.
  • Does Not Know His Own Strength: This was her problem when she started as a Combagal. Besides her large masculine appearance, Adelgund injured her opponents with her strength, which drew away the crowd. Peki convince her to limit her strength to protect her opponents. As a result, Adelgund learned to better limit herself, attracting fans, improving her technique, and allowing her and Peki to become champions.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite breaking Peki's arm and both of her legs, she is horrified when Nyarai purposely breaks her own spine to escape a spine breaker hold Adelgund put her in. Adelgund is horrified as it shows that even if she resorted to cruelly breaking limbs, she'd never take a life.
  • Face Death with Dignity: More like defeat, but when Nyarai is about to knock out Adelgund with an explosive kick, Adelgund gives Muko encouraging advice about what it means to be a Combagal, more especifically what it means to be a Face in the ring, before bravely taking on the finishing blow.
  • Fake Ultimate Hero: Downplayed as Adelgund is indeed a Combagal who earned the belt and she's a good person, albeit flawed. The history is elaborated in Chapter 15 where Dinedon forces Peki to undergo a Face–Heel Turn a year after she and Adelgund became champions. He believed that Fantastic Racism against Wilds was making them suspicious of the population in general so he made a publicity stunt of Peki becoming a Heel who would try to steal Adelgund's belt. Adelgund would beat Peki and make her a prisoner, forcing her to fight for her freedom as a Jobber while Adelgund stood in the spotlight. Despite Peki's protests, Adelgund accepted.
  • Finishing Stomp: Breaks Peki's legs by stomping on them in an act of heartbreak and spite. Nyarai later does the same to her, stepping on her unconscious face to celebrate her victory over her.
  • Forgotten Fallen Friend: Averted as Adelgund is mentioned a few times on Part 3 and it's clear that Muko and Cookie care about the sacrifice she made for them.
  • The Giant: One of the largest Combagals in the comic, if not the largest. In a real fight, her opponents actually need to jump in order to punch or kick her in the face just to highlight how tall she really is.
  • Graceful Loser: Recognizes Nyarai as the bigger predator before she knocks her unconscious, pointing out that facing stronger opponents is what she loves about furry fighting. She also uses her last moments to give Muko words of encouragement.
  • Heel Realization: She realizes how far she's fallen as a hero of justice in Chapter 17 when Muko attempts to tag in to save her from Nyarai. Upon hearing Muko calling her a good person by saying that she only pretends to hurt others, Adelgund decides to stay in the ring while calling herself a Heel to prevent Muko from making a Senseless Sacrifice and as penance for hurting Peki.
  • Honor Before Reason: Deconstructed. While Adelgund has a good sense of honor, it can be a bit of detriment to her. As a symbol of justice, she believes a Combagal must serve her partner and her manager while anybody who dares to betray their team should be struck down by them.
  • Innocently Insensitive: She agreed to have Peki have a Face–Heel Turn against her will, rationalizing that she could pull a Heel–Face Turn in the future as long as their team got sales. She didn't realize the humiliation that Peki had to endure due to Fantastic Rascism that she and their manager forced her to promote. She also showed little sympathy for Peki's injuries, telling her to deal with them because they got to keep the champion by disqualification of their rivals. She didn't realize that Peki wanted her to comfort her, which caused her to resent her and ultimately betray her.
  • Instant-Win Condition: Adelgund is the belt owner of the Botaun district. That means that defeating her will not only end the match regardless of how many Combagals remain, but it will make the Combagal who bested her the new Champion. Nyarai ends up becoming that Champion as of Chapter 18.
  • Kavorka Man: She's very big, has a masculine face, and she's as girl crazy as Muko. Unlike Muko, who's cuter but has no success with any girl she flirts, Adelgund is very popular with girls with the Exe-Cutie-Ves having a Bodyguard Crush on her and Undying Loyalty throughout the entire match.
  • Kick the Dog: Regardless of whether or not breaking Peki's arm was necessary to win the fight, it's quite obvious that breaking her legs was done out of spite and heartbreak.
  • Lady Looks Like a Dude: Her appearance is very masculine. Her debut in Chapter 9 even lampshades it as if asking Adelgund herself.
    • Deconstructed as female furry fighting requires beauty as one of its main attractions. A flashback in Chapter 15 has Adelgund lamenting this trope. Besides Adelgund having Super-Strength that hurt her adversaries, her masculine appearance didn't earn her any fans. Fortunately, by controlling her strength, Adelgund made up for her lack of feminine beauty with sheer charisma.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: Some of the things that happened to Adelgund during the Masato match can be considered punishment for betraying Peki all those years ago.
  • Loved by All: Adelgund is adored by the crowd and has her own team of cheerleaders.
  • Magnetic Hero: Adelgund has this reputation in Chapter 11 and several chapters show how. She's an excellent fighter and performer, entertaining the audience in her fight with Muko despite half of it being a Curb-Stomp Battle in her favor and the other over-selling the fight to make Muko, an amateur, look like a promising fighter. Chapter 15 reveals that Adelgund wasn't popular at first due to her looks and overpowering strength, but learning to control it and having a three-year winning streak has helped her out.
  • Never My Fault: Shows signs of this during her fight with Peki. When confronted about her two-timing, Adelgund tries to make excuses rather than own up to the fact. She also accuses Peki of not being a team player when torturing her as she goes to tag Nyarai despite selling her out years ago.
  • Oh, Crap!: Adelgund has a few of these during her major fights with Peki and Nyarai.
    • During her fight with Peki, Adelgund has her first panic attack when Peki confronts her over an act of infidelity with a stripper, who she made one of her latest assistants. Adelgund is left panicking as she makes excuses, causing Peki to beat her up and forcing Adel to break her arm in order to win the fight.
    • She has a moment of horror when Nyarai breaks her own back, causing Adelgund to feel guilt at the prospect of killing her. Her horror grows wider when Nyarai shows her monstrous flexibility means that she can No-Sell restraining holds. She then has her final moment of horror when Nyarai unleashes Jet Leg Burst and throws a kick so fast that leaves Adelgund staring at Nyarai's foot less than a second before it impacts her face.
  • The One Who Wears Shoes: Between her and Peki, she's the one who wears any kind of footwear, her Boots of Toughness to be specific, in their matches. Also, she's the only one in the Masato match to wear any footwear since Peki and Nyarai fought on bare feet and Muko only used straps to fight.
  • Passing the Torch: Knowing that she's going to lose the fight against Nyarai and that her reputation is destroyed, Adelgund uses her final moments in the match to show and tell Muko what it means to be a Combagal.
  • Red Baron: She is called "The Major" due to being a symbol of justice.
  • Shadow Archetype: She's pretty much an older Muko, body types excluded, if you take the good sides while also putting on each shared Fatal Flaw they have. Just like Muko, she's a trustworthy friend and had Undying Loyalty to her manager and partner. However, she's also Innocently Insensitive and she's also promiscuous despite being in a relationship with Peki. Adelgund pretty much shows what kind of person Muko will become if she retains her good side without doing anything to improve on her character flaws.
  • Strong and Skilled: As a champion, she can easily pretend to be heavily damaged by Muko's attacks and she can actually one-shot Nyarai with a well-placed knee to the face thanks to how many times her opponents tried that on her, both showing her skills as a fighter and entertainer.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: Betrayal is something that upsets Adelgund. She makes Muko fight Nyarai despite knowing from her previous match with the former that she's inexperienced, resulting in Muko losing badly. She also cannot get over the fact that Peki betrayed her even after Peki points out Adelgund's infidelity to her.
  • Treachery Is a Special Kind of Evil: As mentioned above, Adelgund hates betrayal as she considers loyalty important to a team. After the formation of Team Firestorm, an enraged Adelgund makes sure that Muko faces Nyarai while she faces Peki as she wants her new team to have individual confrontations with the partners who betrayed them with horrible results. Muko gets beat up by Nyarai and Adelgund is so physically and emotionally hurt by Peki's assault that she resorts to breaking her arm, becoming a Broken Pedestal after years of hard work working to become a symbol of justice.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Team Executor as a whole. Deconstructed, since Adelgund expects the rest of the team to show the same loyalty that she does regardless of sacrifice, even if she does not sacrifice anything. She obeys and accepts the Face–Heel Turn plan despite Peki's protests out of Blind Obedience for their manager. Tells Peki to ignore the injuries she get from her new Jobber occupation despite how much they hurt her physically and emotionally because that's their job. She didn't mind giving her belt, not even when witnessing her manager being bribed, and she only cared when she heard when Peki could have a Heel–Face Turn that would allow them to fight as a Face team again.
  • Ungrateful Bitch: Adelgund succeeded as a Combagal and became a champion because Peki taught her to restrain her strength. Years later, Adelgund callously agrees with their manager's plan to force Peki to have a Face–Heel Turn and then force her to lose against her and become her prisoner. The incident not only damaged Peki's reputation and self-esteem, but it increased Adelgund's apathy as her growing fame blinded her to her partner's suffering. This eventually resulted in Peki betraying her for Nyarai.

     Peki Polight

Peki Polight

A shy and depressed penguin lady, Peki is Adelgund's tag team partner and a champion Combagal in Botaun. Unlike her long-time partner, Peki has a large chip on her shoulder that comes to light during their match with Team Deliverance.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/14894fa7_98da_4b17_8822_a6175877c8dc.jpeg
The Prisoner

  • Awakening the Sleeping Giant: As Chapter 15 reveals, she was Adelgund's partner since the day Team Executor began so she's a Champion level Combagal compared to what her frail appearance shows. The audience looks at her as Adelgund's prisoner, but that's only because she was forced to become a Jobber by Dinedon to satisfy a racist stereotype. By Chapter 16, Peki is pretty much owning Adelgund and only loses due to an error of judgment that gives Adelgund and opening to break her arm.
  • Battle Strip: She removes her one-piece swimsuit for a two piece bikini when she leaves Team Executors to fight alongside Nyarai in Team Firestorm, symbolizing her stepping out of Adelgund's shadow.
  • Beware the Quiet Ones: She doesn't say much when she's first introduced, but Peki shows that her actions speak louder than her words.
  • Blinded by Rage: When confronting Adelgund over her infidelity, Peki gives her a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown fueled by years of pent up resentment. She overwhelms Adelgund until the latter grabs her arm and snaps it. The irony of the situation was that years ago Peki noticed that Adelgund's fighting style was too brutal and she helped her revise it, meaning that Peki lost to a fighting style she corrected and could have avoided with a clearer head.
  • Boxing Battler: When she fights, she prefers punches.
  • Extremity Extremist: She prefers curling her flippers into large fists to deliver powerful punches.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Enforced by her manager as Fantastic Racism against wilds caused suspicion and unease and this apparently impacted her team since Peki was a wild. So Peki was forced to turn into a Heel and be defeated by Adelgund, turning into a prisoner to be "reformed" for her Heel–Face Turn in the future. Peki was unimpressed, especially by the ridicule she endured and the apathy Adelgund showed to her problems.
  • Flash Step: Chapter 16 shows that she can do a zigzag version of this with her footwork to deliver an amazing punch.
  • Glass Cannon: Peki is fast and very strong for her size, but she's also fragile. A flashback has her complain about beginner Combagals bruising her despite her and Adelgund winning the match. As seen during her fight with Adelgund, Peki was fast to dodge her former partner's attacks and powerful enough to seriously injure her, but ultimately lost because of sheer durability. Adelgund had enough durability to power through Peki's blows and break her arm whereas Peki was ultimately done by that single blow and was forced to tag Nyarai into the match.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Looks depressed when seeing Adelgund ogling Muko and a stripper at a meeting. Becomes a plot point when it is shown that Peki also resents the Exe-Cutie-Ves as her latest member gave Adelgund oral sex and she wonders if the rest of them did something to Adel to become her assistants. Adelgund's weak excuse makes Peki Blinded by Rage as she gives Adelgund a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that hurts her former lover, but leaves her open to a counterattack that breaks her arm and ends the fight.
  • Jobber: She was forced to become one years ago, when Dinedon forced her to become a Heel to bolster Adelgund's popularity. She was false forced to lose against weaker Combagals so that Adelgund could defeat them and look better, improving her reputation. Naturally, this increased Peki's resentment at not being able to use her full strength until she finally used it on Adelgund.
  • Lipstick Lesbian: She looks depressed when Adelgund shows interest in other girls. The Masato match implies they were a couple until Peki found Adelgund cheating on her with a stripper and that was The Last Straw to many transgressions her lover committed to her over the years.
  • Overshadowed by Awesome: According to Nyarai, she lives in Adelgund's shadow.
  • Rebuilt Pedestal: Peki lost her fans when she turned Heel and nobody cheered for her initially when she was fighting Adelgund. However, as the fight progressed and she demonstrated her old skill as Punching Peki, being able to hold her own and overwhelm Adelgund, she slowly got back the respect of her fans. By the end of her fight, despite Adel crippling her, the fans now respect her while her former partner is now reviled, a reverse of her previous situation.
  • Red Baron: She has two. The first one is "The Prisoner" referring to her being Adelgund's prisoner after being forced by her manager to pull a Face–Heel Turn, lose to Adelgund, and then rehabilitate under her. The second name is "Punching Peki" referring to her boxing like fighting style.
  • The Resenter: To Adelgund as she supported the decision of having Peki become a Heel and then enjoyed years of fame while Peki was hated and ignored by fans for being a Wild.
  • Strong and Skilled: Like Adelgund, she's a fellow champion Combagal so it's natural for her to be the one who gives Adelgund the most trouble between her and Nyarai.
  • Trauma Conga Line: Poor Peki goes through a lot since her introduction. Dinedon forces her to undergo a Face–Heel Turn due to Fantastic Racism with Adelgund not supporting her, she loses her belt and her popularity to Adelgund by acting as a Heel Jobber, she is constantly assaulted by beginner Combagals and told to bear with it by Adelgund, has to watch Adelgund surround herself with attractive females and lust after their latest opponent (Muko), witnesses Adelgund cheating on her with a prostitute that she makes one of her assistants, and then gets her limbs broken by Adelgund once she finally breaks free of her.
  • Waif-Fu: She can slide, flip, jump, and run circles around her opponents. She also packs the punch that compliments her speed and makes up for the size difference.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: All of her fighting costumes in the past and present are swimsuits or bikinis. Justified since Peki is a penguin and she'd overheat if she wore anything other than light clothing when fighting.

     Dinedon

Dinedon

An old greedy turtle who is the manager of Team Executor

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b65bd082_8496_4fdc_b7ac_f65eb8740bb9.jpeg
The Judge

  • Bad Boss:
    • A flashback reveals that he was the one who forced Peki to have a Face–Heel Turn against her will. His reasoning? People were not coming to their matches because of Wilds prejudice so Peki must turn Heel and let Adelgund beat her to get attention. Cue to the start of Peki's Trauma Conga Line and the destruction of Team Executor.
    • Taken up to eleven when it's revealed in Chapter 18 that he was the one who let Shun Gonfano hijack the Masato match, resulting in Peki and Adelgund being hospitalized for the sake of him getting his payment.
  • Exact Words: Smugly refuse to return Cookie's money in Chapter 18 since in her words, "it was a gift" for him and therefore cannot take it back.
  • Evil Counterpart: He's pretty much an evil version of Cookie with all of her worse traits up to eleven when you compare his beliefs, work ethic, and relationship with his Combagals.
  • Greed: This old turtle is not above accepting bribes, either to fix matches... or betray his colleagues for the highest bidder.
  • Hate Sink: This scummy old turtle has no redeeming qualities whatsoever, being a greedy, backstabbing Bad Boss who looks out only after himself and who will gleefully betray others for his personal profit.
  • Karma Houdini: After a talk with Cookie, he leaves the stadium, deciding to retire from the furry fighting world. Cookie calls him out for acting wise after betraying and getting both of his Combagals hurt, scamming her out of her money, and taking Shun's bribe and walking away like that.
  • Kick the Dog:
    • Chapter 15 reveals that it was him who forced Peki to do a Face–Heel Turn and then lose to Adelgund. He did this because people were not going to Team Executor matches due to Fantastic Racism against Wilds so he expected a matches where Peki acted as a Heel and Jobber serving Adelgund would help the sales. It's a horrible thing to ask a client to do a racial stereotype, but it becomes worse when Peki pretty much did nothing but her best for Dinedon, giving him a championship belt, and he repays her by humiliating her because he wants more money.
    • It goes up to eleven in Chapter 18 when it is revealed that he sold out Team Executor to Shun Gonfano. Pretty much giving information that discredited Adelgund in public, setting her up with a Honey Trap so that Peki will be heartbroken, and getting the two in a shoot match that got them hospitalized. His reason for doing this was that Shun paid him more than Cookie did and he still keeps the bribe Cookie gave him, gleefully pointing out that it was a gift from her so she no longer has claim to it.

     Exe-Cutie-Ves

Exe-Cutie-Ves

A group of attractive female dogs who serve as Adelgund's personal assistants and cheerleaders. Their newest member, Miho, worked as a stripper the day Cookie set up the match and join the Exe-Cutie-Ves after catching the eye of Adelgund.

For more information regarding Miho, check on her character entry below.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2a8cfc62_3896_4102_80dd_b011b4a17668.jpeg
Adelgund's personal cheering squad. Newest member Miho at the background.

  • Amazon Brigade: Besides cheerleading, these attractive females were apparently trained by Adelgund to subdue and arrest criminals. Downplayed as they are not strong enough to beat a Combagal.
  • Battle Harem: They're attractive, have a crush on Adelgund, and she showed interest on Miho, their newest member. Deconstructed, as this was one of the factors that caused Peki to betray Adelgund, seeing it as a sign of infidelity, especially since Adelgund did receive oral sex from Miho.
  • Berserk Button: Miho doesn't like being looked down as she got mad when one of the members called her a newbie for not knowing what overselling was.
  • Bodyguard Crush: They all appear to have a crush on Adelgund, a champion Combagal, and one of them appears to be jealous at the attention Muko is receiving from her.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Miho, the latest member of the group, appears as a stripper at a club where Team Executor and Team Deliverance where meeting. The next chapters show her as a member of the Exe-Cutie-Ves.
  • Honey Trap: Miho seduced Adelgund and had sex with her to become a member of the Exe-Cutie-Ves. The purpose was to make Peki abandon Adelgund and join Nyarai, hoping that the two former partners would fight and then Nyarai would defeat Adelgund and take the glory for herself.
  • Inelegant Blubbering: The last we see of them is all of them crying over Adelgund's defeated body.
  • Karma Houdini: Miho gets no punishment for breaking up Adelgund and Peki, getting them in a match that got them hospitalized, and having Nyarai made champion in their stead. She gets paid big time by Shun for her efforts.
  • Know When to Fold 'Em: They're ready to arrest Shun the second he interrupts the match, but they back away when he reveals the Cyclone Crushers are his bodyguards. They may be trained as bodyguards, but they can't do anything against Combagals, who made a career out of fighting, especially when the Cyclone Crushers are professionals among those Combagals.
  • New Meat: Miho is the newest member of the group. As such, she knows little of furry fighting and it's terms. That being said, she hates being mocked for her inexperience.
  • Traitor Shot: There is a close-up to Miho when Peki calls out Adelgund for having sex with her, she looks unconcerned and far from guilty at the beating Peki is giving to the Combagal she's supposed to support.
  • Undying Loyalty: As the match goes on, they are the only ones who keep supporting Adelgund until the end. When Adelgund is having trouble catching Peki due to her agility, two members grab Peki's leg so that Adel can put her in a bear hug. When Adelgund breaks Peki's limbs and everybody turns against her, they're the only ones who stick by her. Finally, after Adelgund is defeated by Nyarai, they rush to their beaten idol, crying for her as they attempt to bring her medical support.
  • Walking Spoiler: Miho plays an important role in the Masato match and later on Part 3 that can't be discussed without revealing spoilers.

Doable Dolls

A pair of Combagals and idol singers that were part of the same group. Snuggly is a poodle with a fixation for bones and a tendency to promote herself and her singing career a bit indecently. Sleepy is a fennec vixen who has a gothic look and a grudge against Snuggly, blaming her for their duo's break-up.

Their story is a little arc in Part 3.

Doable Dolls in their glory days.

  • Big Damn Reunion: Chapter 35 has them end their fight with a hug, with both of them apologizing and reconciling for the separation.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Their prowess as Combagals is shown in Chapter 32, where they are shown defeating a tag team of Combagals, with Snuggly and Sleepy defeating their respective opponent at the same time as their partner.
  • Dance Battler: They were taught dancing by Paipu Katto and were also taught furry fighting as well. That being said, it's never stated how much dancing they incorporated in their fighting style.
  • Idol Singer: Both of them were a popular idol singer duo. Snuggly is still a popular idol even in her introduction.
  • It's All My Fault: When apologizing to each other, Snuggly and Sleepy acknowledge their own individual roles in the break up of the Doable Dolls.
  • Meaningful Rename: They rename themselves as the Redoable Dolls to symbolize the restart of their friendship and to symbolize how much they've grown as people in the year since their separation.
  • Tears of Joy: They cry tears of happiness when they become champion Combagals.
  • Training from Hell: Their success as Combagals and idol singers was due to the training given to them by Paipu Katto, who drove them to tears through the sheer intensity of his training sessions.

     Snuggly

Snuggly

A popular singing poodle Combagal who is adored by the audience. Her fight started after Rinko won her match and it preceded Muko's debut match. Her opponent was Tanka Talon and it resulted in a crushing defeat.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/f20a9032_b7e7_41b9_8d90_10d94427d3fc.jpeg
Snuggly being introduced.

  • A Day in the Limelight: Chapter 20 gives her a match with her former partner, Sleepy.
  • Ascended Extra: She started from an Early-Bird Cameo in Part 1, to appearing in a few scenes in Part 2, to having at least two chapters dedicated to her in Part 3.
  • Cigarette of Anxiety: She smokes when she's stressed out. She apparently kicked out the habit while training under Paipu Katto, but regained it after the break up of the Doable Dolls. According to her, smoking calms her down.
  • Creator Breakdown: She suffers an In-Universe one in her backstory in Chapter 32. At the end of the idol singing competition, Snuggly was forced to sing along because Sleepy was unavailable and nobody appreciated her singing despite giving her best. After getting last place due to her trainer Paipu crossdressing and singing a duet with her, Snuggly lashes out at him with a profanity filled rant. However, she had her microphone on so the public turned against her. Cookie points out that some people believe that her new Hotter and Sexier image happened because Snuggly "went bonkers" after that incident.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: Her fight is a one-sided defeat and the only blow she landed left Tanka Talon unfazed.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: Appears in a few chapters before her fight singing in a concert and as a poster in Muko's room.
  • Hotter and Sexier: Her new image is raunchier and more provocative compared to the more innocent of her previous idol persona.
  • Idol Singer: Her motif. She is not above singing and promoting herself before a match.
  • It's All About Me: She gave Sleepy diarrhea so that she could sing alone at the Epic Pop Dance Off and have the glory to herself. She realizes that what she did was selfish and is disgusted by her former actions by the current events of the comic.
  • Innocent Fanservice Girl: She appears in Chapter 17 promoting a product that resembles something very...phallic and sexual in nature.
  • Loved by All: She has fans cheering for her and they also cry along with her when she loses.
    • Chapter 20 shows how beloved she is by impersonating Donkizari, the continental champion with a bodysuit, and everybody laughs off her prank and is happy to see her.
  • My Greatest Failure: It was her who gave Sleepy the laxative chocolates so that she could sing alone and have the glory to herself. She is ashamed of what she did, considering herself selfish for hurting her partner and is afraid of telling her the truth. Daikarin advises her to tell Sleepy the truth so that she can fully move on.
  • Oh, Crap!: She has this reaction when she finds out Sleepy has a Potty Emergency ten minutes before they're supposed to sing. She has an even bigger one when Paipu crossdresses to sing with her.
  • The Prankster: Chapter 20 has her disguise herself as Donkizari with a bodysuit and pretending to be her, only to reveal that it was her all along.
  • Rage Breaking Point: The idol singing competition was a stressful event for Snuggly. Getting last place after your teacher decides to help you by crossdressing was the thing that caused Snuggly to reach the point of no return.
  • Sore Loser: Breaks into tears after losing to Talon. To be fair, that one-sided beatdown did look painful.
  • Thousand-Yard Stare: Gives one near the end of the flashback when she realizes she ruined her idol career with her ranting at Paipu insulting her fans.
  • Vague Age: Averted, as Chapter 20 reveals that she's 21 years old.
  • We Used to Be Friends: With Sleepy, since they were both a duo known as the Doable Dolls a while ago, which ended when Snuggly broke it up to become a Combagal. Sleepy decided to become a Combagal just to have a chance to face Snuggly in a match and get back at her.

     Sleepy

Sleepy

A fennec fox Combagal. Sleepy used to be Snuggly's former idol partner as the singing duo "The Doable Dolls," which ended when Snuggly decided to become a Combagal. Feeling betrayed, Sleepy became a Combagal too to get revenge on her former partner.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4d8a0214_7a71_4e91_a729_32fef3f81891.jpeg
Sleepy being introduced.

  • Ballistic Bone: Throws a bone at Snuggly, knowing it will distract her long enough for Sleepy to give the first blow.
  • Big "SHUT UP!": She interrupts Snuggly's new concert by telling her to shut her mouth. This alerts Snuggly of her presence.
  • Breast Attack: Gives Snuggly one, although Snuggly retaliates afterwards.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Not above distracting Snuggly with a bone and then elbowing her midair to get the first hit.
  • Darker and Edgier: Her new image after the breakup of the Doable Dolls is a more aggressive and confident look.
  • Never My Fault: She acts like Snuggly betrayed her. But, considering that Snuggly had to sing alone in a singing competition, was indirectly humiliated by their teacher crossdressing and singing a duet with her, and suffered a breakdown that destroyed her image, Sleepy is not being fair to her since it was her fault that Snuggly left because of Sleepy's irresponsible behavior before an important event.
  • Potty Emergency: The day the Doable Dolls broke up was caused by this. Sleepy overate chocolate the day of an important singing competition, resulting in her getting diarrhea ten minutes before she and Snuggly were supposed to sing. This lead to a series of events that lead to Snuggly to quit the Doable Dolls.
  • This Is Unforgivable!: She considers Snuggly leaving the Doable Dolls to become a single Combagal to be this.
  • Vague Age: Averted, just like with Snuggly, Chapter 20 revealed she was 22 years old.
  • We Used to Be Friends: She resents Snuggly for leaving her. That being said, Snuggly still considers Sleepy to be her friend.

Independent Combagals

     Fenny

Fenny

An attractive artic vixen who fights and defeats Roora in the first chapter of the series. Her victory inspires Muko to become a Combagal and her advice leads to her meeting Cookie eventually.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/63be3c00_be6f_4648_bc27_a8fcaae7b94d.jpeg
Muko's Inspiration.

  • Advertised Extra: She and Roora have a major role in the first chapter, with her personally winning the fight. She's also the one who tells Muko how to become a Combagal when she barges on the shower rooms to meet her. One would think that she'd be a mentor or a goal for Muko, but she hasn't been since.
    • Lampshaded in an omake where Fenny beats up the Author Avatar for introducing her to the story just to discard her that quickly.
  • Ascended Extra: Non-canon comics such as Space Muko allow Fenny to spend time with other characters.
  • Brawler Lock: Has one with Roora at the beginning of the match, but she loses due to size disadvantage.
  • Combat Pragmatism: Not above tripping Roora when she was distracted by the crowd and then giving her a drop kick to finish her with a wrestling hold.
  • David Versus Goliath: The David to Roora's Goliath. Their size difference is shown when Fenny loses a Brawler Lock to Roora at the beginning of the match, but she manages to still win at the end through pragmatism and technique.
  • Decoy Protagonist: The first chapter makes it seem as if she's the protagonist of the comic since her victory against Roora is the whole plot of it. In reality, she only serves to inspire Muko, the real protagonist, to become a Combagal.
  • Diving Kick: Gives Roora a drop kick after tripping her and then finishes her off with a clutch move.
  • Friendly Enemy: Bathes with Roora immediately after their fight, despite the latter using illegal moves on her.
  • Innocent Fanservice Girl: Tells Muko how to become a Combagal while still in the middle of a shower and not minding that her and the security guards are staring at her naked body.
  • Made of Iron: While part of her victory was Roora being distracted by the crowd's cheer, another part was Fenny still being able to fight after a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown of dirty blows that included slaps to the breasts and a knee to the groin.
  • Male Gaze: Fenny tends to show bits of her butt.
  • Minor Major Character: Her fight with Roora inspired Muko to become a Combagal and her advice eventually led to her meeting Cookie.
  • Nice Girl: Doesn't mind that Muko broke into the shower rooms while she and Roora where using them and even gave her advice on how to become a Combagal.
  • Technician Versus Performer: She's the Technician to Roora's Performer. Out of the two, Fenny has shown the best technique, using a variety of holds against Roora's brute force and applying strategy as well.

     Roora

Roora

A buff kangaroo who fights Fenny and is defeated by her. Their fight inspires Muko to become a Combagal.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/58671e47_fe30_4291_87ab_b8caeba12979.jpeg
Roguish Kangaroo Combagal.

  • Advertised Extra: She and Fenny have a major role in the first chapter and a brief flashback scene, but they only serve to introduce Muko (and the audience) to furry fighting.
  • Ascended Extra: Non-canon comics such as Space Muko extend Roora's comic time.
  • Attention Whore: She seems to take a break in the middle of the fight to enjoy the cheering of the crowd. It's also her Fatal Flaw as Fenny used this to defeat her.
  • Berserk Button: Peeping toms majorly piss Roora off. While Fenny didn't mind Muko breaking into the changing rooms to ask info on how to become a Combagal, Roora was not happy at the rabbit and the bodyguards staring at their naked bodies. She promptly kicks all of them out in a single strike.
  • Boxing Kangaroo: Her manager is a Boxing Battler who hated Combagals, but Roora convinced him to manage her and teach her his techniques. As a result, she knows boxing moves besides wrestling.
  • Breast Attack: Gives Fenny a combo of many slaps to the breasts.
  • The Bus Came Back: She returns in Chapter 24 after a long absence, angrily recalling how Muko entered the shower rooms to watch her naked in an interview with Miho, further destroying Muko's reputation.
  • David Versus Goliath: The Goliath to Fenny's David. The size difference is shown when Roora wins a Brawler Lock against Fenny at the beginning of the match.
  • Extremity Extremist: Despite being a kangaroo, she'd rather use her hands for striking and grappling inside the ring rather than her feet. That being said, she does pack a mean kick outside the ring as Muko (and some security guards) can confirm.
  • Fatal Flaw: Her arrogance. Drowning in the cheers of the crowd caused Roora to lower her guard, giving an opening for Fenny to exploit and defeat her.
  • Friendly Enemy: Bathes with Fenny immediately after their fight despite the latter defeating her in public.
  • Full-Frontal Assault: Sort of. When Muko bursts into the shower rooms to speak with her and Fenny, Roora does a hard kick while completely naked.
  • Groin Attack: Drops Fenny crotch first into her knee.
  • Lovable Rogue: She's very popular despite her brutality, getting cheers from the crowd. The only time the crowd is not cheering for her is when Fenny is the one getting cheered.
  • Megaton Punch: She kicked Muko and many security guards when they opened the shower rooms while she and Fenny where using them. Muko considers the kick as an autograph.
  • Minor Major Character: Her fight with Fenny serves to inspire Muko to become a Combagal.
  • Punched Across the Room: Roora literally kicks Muko and some security guards for taking a perk at her in the shower rooms.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: Her fighting style is mainly brute strength with punches, slaps, and basic holds. That being said, her brute strength is so high that such basic attacks are very damaging.
  • Technician Versus Performer: The Performer to Fenny's Technician. She gets the crowd's attention with displays of raw strength involving punches, slaps, and simple holds.

     Donkizari

Donkizari

The continental Combagal champion and biggest Face of female furry wrestling. She is a lioness who mastered furry fighting and is Cookie's idol and the one who got her interested in female pro-wrestling and later becoming a Combagal manager.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1136b88e_d39f_437a_9721_5199abb5345c.jpeg
The Continental Champion

  • Arch-Enemy: To Scalitor, who is considered the biggest Heel in the series.
  • Face: Cookie refers to her as this trope and even uses her to introduce the term to the series.
  • Final Boss: Invoked by Cookie who believes her to be the final enemy Muko must defeat in her journey to become a Combagal.
  • King of Beasts: A female example as she has a masculine body and a full mane.
  • Living Legend: Referred as such by Cookie.
  • The Paragon: She is considered the greatest Face in female furry fighting by Cookie so she fits this trope to a degree.
  • Pet the Dog: She got Sephario a job working at her Dozan movie since she and other Kalandesians were having trouble getting jobs after the events of Trilamity Day.
  • Red Baron: "Thousand Heart Donkizari"
  • Strong and Skilled: Implied as she's built like a tank, put Scalitor in a wrestling hold despite the latter hitting her with a chair, and has kept the belt for many years without suffering any defeat whatsoever.
  • World's Strongest Woman: As the Continental champion of the Combagals, she can be considered the strongest character of the setting until she's dethroned. To make things better, she's been champion since Cookie was a child.

     Scalitor

Scalitor

The biggest Heel Combagal in female pro-wrestling and the arch-enemy of Donkizari. She is an alligator Combagal whose underlings terrorize the ring years after her fight with Donkizari.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/2249a438_f7d7_46b7_9bf4_6458fe71ed9e.jpeg
Scalitor showing what it means to be a Heel...with a chair.

  • Arch-Enemy: To Donkizari, who is considered the biggest Face in the series.
  • Chairman of the Brawl: When Cookie is explaining the term "heat" to Muko, Scalitor is illustrated hitting Donkizari with a chair.
  • Heel: She is illustrated as this trope and used to introduce the term to the series.
  • Never Smile at a Crocodile: She's an alligator and the biggest Heel in the story so there's some validity to this trope.
  • Strong and Skilled: Implied. If she can hold her own against Donkizari, then she definitely fits this trope.

     Rinko

Rinko

A bunny Combagal who fights as one of the opening acts preceding Muko's debut match. Her match preceded the fight between Snuggly.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/ec1e3cc8_692b_4986_b884_73f0e054315b.jpeg
Rinko celebrating her victory.

  • Cool Shades: She fights using some nice looking shades.
  • Foil: To Muko as they are both rabbit Combagals but differing in body types, personality, and experience. Rinko is short with small breasts while Muko is tall with well-developed breasts. Rinko is focused around the match and cares a lot about her fans, but Muko is a slave to her primal desires and is scared of the spectators as soon as she enters the ring. Rinko already has some experience on the ring, to the point that her aerial strength is recognized, while Muko is starting her first match and her only exposure is a humiliating article featuring a crushing defeat and her perverted antics.
  • She-Fu: Her specialty is aerial strength and this is confirmed when she opens the chapter by defeating her opponent with a moonsault.

     Tanka Talon

Tanka Talon

A primitive saber tooted tiger Combagal. Her debut fight started after Rinko won her match and it preceded Muko's debut match. Her opponent was Snuggly and it was an easy victory for Tanka Talon.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cc87ff8c_efd7_43b9_b9f4_12d55b7840dd.jpeg
Ancient Combagal.

  • Cats Are Mean: She's very brutal when she fights.
  • Curb-Stomp Battle: The fight against Snuggly was pretty much this in her favor.
  • No-Sell: Snuggly only managed to land one blow during their fight, a drop kick. Tanka Talon just kept beating on her until she won.
  • Panthera Awesome: She's a saber tooth tiger who bursts out of ice for her first entrance.

     The Terrifying Tigress Twins

The Terrifying Tigress Twins

A pair of tigress twins who were the champions of the Desdan Underground Arena. They fought Nyarai and Lenny years ago, with their match resulting in Nyarai losing Lenny and being sent to prison after they won the match.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1660_7.jpeg
The Terrifying Tigress Twins are a good example of a tag team among Combagals.

  • Back-to-Back Badasses: They pose back to back when Muko and Cookie talk about them.
  • The Dividual: Nothing is known about them as individuals since they only show as a pair.
  • Expy: To Tigress from Kung Fu Panda.
  • Sibling Team: They are twins and champion Combagals as well.
  • Small Role, Big Impact: When first shown, they are treated as part of the Combagals that Muko and Cookie admire. They are later revealed to be one of Nyarai's factors in her Start of Darkness when she and Lenny defeated them in a championship match that the Water Mafia wanted them to lose.
  • Smash Sisters: Both sisters are professional Combagals who are champions.

Cyclone Crushers

A group of elite Combagals managed by the sumiguza Shun Gonfano. They are one of the largest and most prominent Combagal groups in the setting. When not fighting, the Cyclone Crushers work as hostesses at Club Nighthawk, where they personally dispose of any client that crosses a line with them. Nyarai is a member since before the comic starts and betrays Muko and Cookie in Part 2 as she reveals her real allegiance.

While the Cyclone Crushers existed for a while, the most notable ones are former members of the Fortune Gals, Combagals who were managed by Cookie in her glory days and now have an enmity with her. They are all trained by Freydar, Cookie's former champion whose career she destroyed.

Some of the Cyclone Crushers are already district champions, such as Skully and Bolouma being the Tendonchi Champions. Nyarai is also the Masato Champion after defeating Adelgund.

Shun Gonfano being protected by the Cyclone Crushers at the Masato March.

  • Amazon Brigade: They act like this as a team and as the bodyguards of Shun Gonfano.
  • Fantastic Racism: Some of them, like Nyarai and Peki are discriminated for being Wilds. And Sephario had to deal with hatred for being born a Kalandesian after Trilamity Day.
  • Friend to All Children: They all agree to take shifts to take care of the Yoko Orphanage kids. Based on how Jowdie and Kellie Kardigan act around the kids, it's assumed that the Cyclone Crushers love kids and are great at taking care of them.
  • High-Class Call Girl: They work as consorts at Shun's Club Nighthawk.
  • Pro Wrestling Is Real: They do shoot fighting, which means that they fight for real in the ring.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Shun and each other.

     Shun Gonfano

Shun Gonfano

A sophisticated cat with ties to the sumiguza, he is the owner of Club Nighthawk where Nyarai works as a hostess. One of the things about his club is that every hostess is a Combagal. He has big plans for Nyarai regarding her debut match and Cookie.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20325516_5fc4_4344_aa4c_3c5cb1f0b1de.jpeg
Sumiguza and manager of Club Nighthawk and the Cyclone Crushers.

  • Arch-Enemy: To Cookie, who refers to him as an old enemy. Considering his Cyclone Crushers consists of Cookie's previous Combagals and that he used Nyarai as The Mole to further destroy Cookie's reputation to promote his own, he deserves to be her nemesis.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: A Yakuza in all but name and dressed like one too.
  • Big Bad: Shapes up to be this given his actions in Part 2.
  • Briefcase Full of Money: He uses one for bribing or buying. Chapter 18 shows him using one to bribe Dinedon into betraying Team Executor. Then, in Chapter 19, it shows that Shun bought all of Cookie's Combagals with another briefcase years ago.
  • Cats Are Mean: He's a criminal cat despite his affable personality.
  • The Chessmaster: Has Nyarai act as The Mole to incriminate Cookie and promote the Cyclone Crushers.
  • Four Eyes, Zero Soul: A criminal equivalent to a yakuza in the story, and he wears glasses.
  • Nerves of Steel: He doesn't flinch despite Freydar punching a hole on a glass window near his face. He just glares at her in defiance and is amused at her return to furry fighting.
  • Non-Action Big Bad: So far, Part 2 is shaping him up to be the main antagonist, but since he's a manager, his Cyclone Crushers do the fighting for him. Subverted in his fight with Kalita, showing that he knows how to defend himself.
  • Pet the Dog: Despite Kalita trying to win the match after he bribed her to lose, Shun still saves Yoko Orphanage since Kalita still lost to Sephario in the match. He even has the Cyclone Crushers take care of the kids.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: As revealed in The Stinger in Chapter 29, Shun does have a good reason to discredit Cookie despite having little chances of returning to furry fighting. Freydar, the current trainer of the Cyclone Crushers, refuses to work for Shun until Cookie is eliminated.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He has a mild fight scene with Kalita, though he only throws her and that was to defend himself against her.
  • Yakuza: He's called a sumiguza, but given the Japanese words in the story's setting, it's close to a yakuza that the comic will provide.

     Jowdie Moohoshi

Jowdie Moohoshi

A soft-spoken yet friendly hostess at Club Nighthawk, she's one of the Cyclone Crushers.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/eea138da_41eb_4cd0_a058_46cf9f9a6132.jpeg
The Heart of the Cyclone Crushers.

  • Actually Pretty Funny: She laughs alongside Nyarai when Mellow smells Nyarai's feet and affirms that her paw pads do smell like popcorn, confirming Jowdie's theory about cat paws having popcorn smell.
  • Best Friend: Of Nyarai. She shows concern for Nyarai when she's hurt by Adelgund and joy when she wins. She also shares the spotlight with Nyarai in Chapter 33, where she's confident enough to hang out with her and share stories with Mellow, much to her annoyance.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: She's the nicest of the Cyclone Crushers so far. However, she's strong enough to defend herself from clients without the need of bodyguards and her being a member of the Cyclone Crushers makes her a professional Combagal above the rest.
  • Cool Big Sis: She bought Nyarai's Gem-Encrusted phone because she noticed the cheetah wanted it but was too cheap to do so. She's also confident enough to tease her, lecture her, and try to teach her about being a better hostess.
  • A Day in the Limelight: She's sharing the spotlight with Nyarai on Chapter 33, appearing on the cover with her.
  • Furry Reminder: Jowdie promotes milk in some posters in Tendonchi, which is fitting as she's a cow Combagal.
  • The Glomp: She hugs Nyarai when she wins the Masato Championship.
  • Gratuitous Japanese: Says "Kanpai" when opening a bottle of wine for Mellow.
  • I Kiss Your Foot: Invoked, she suggests Mellow should smell Nyarai's feet to see if feline paws do smell like popcorn to make the hostess section more exciting.
  • Kick the Dog: Her idea of stopping Nyarai from bullying Mellow was to dare Mellow to smell Nyarai's feet to confirm a rumor about feline paw pads having popcorn smell. Not only did this give Nyarai another chance to bully Mellow, but Jowdie was clearly enjoying watching the wiener dog being put in a submissive position.
  • Marshmallow Hell: She introduces herself to Mellow by having her breasts on top of his head.
  • Morality Pet: Nyarai is less mean around Mellow the moment Jowdie arrives, reducing the tension a lot.
  • Nice Girl: One of the nicest Cyclone Crushers so far.
  • Not So Above It All: She may be the nicest of the Cyclone Crushers, but Jowdie is still a hostess with a naughty side. Her idea of changing the subject of a conversation to prevent Nyarai from bullying Mellow? She points out cat paws smell like popcorn and Mellow should find out if Nyarai's paws smell the same by smelling her feet. When Mellow is forced to do so, Jowdie gives a sadistic smile alongside Nyarai.
  • Prone to Tears: She cries a lot, usually when something good or bad happens to her friends.

     Skully

Skully

A dark and elegant bat working at Club Nighthawk, Skully used to be one of Cookie's Combagals before switching agencies. A few years ago she saved a soap land worker from two rapists, which resulted in Cookie being allowed to use their back of their facilities as her temporary office. Even after Skully joined the Cyclone Crushers, Cookie currently keeps using that office.

She's one of the Tendonchi Champions. Her tag team partner is Bolouma.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/4778e131_1124_42e3_b16d_fc397735c3e5.jpeg
Skully punishing two lowlifes for trying to take advantage of the Monyan girls.

  • Bat Out of Hell: This is her motif with her being a bat.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: Despite being a bad with a scary outfit, Skully is a heroine as she saved an innocent woman from being raped years before the series started.
  • The Dreaded: Nobody dares to harass the workers at Monyan after she beat up two rapists who were harassing a worker.
    • This also extends to the ring. Because she and Bolouma practice shoot fighting (as in hurting their opponents for real), they are an undefeated pair of champions for a year. Cookie even goes as far as to tell Kalita that she won't be able to defeat them on her own despite watching her do a One-Hit Kill Elemental Punch on Muko.
  • Early-Bird Cameo: She appears unmasked in Nyarai's debut chapter, long before her backstory is explained to Muko.
  • Handicapped Badass: She's blind and yet she's one of the Tendonchi Champions.
  • The Unfought: Muko and Kalita don't get to fight her or Bolouma since they have to leave town after losing the Cookie Crumble Match.

Cookie even goes as far as to tell Kalita that she won't be able to defeat them on her own despite watching her do a One-Hit Kill Elemental Punch on Muko.
  • Walking Swimsuit Scene: She fights in a bikini when in the ring.
  • The Unfought: Muko and Kalita don't get to fight her or Skully since they have to leave town after losing the Cookie Crumble Match.

     Ceila

  • Early-Bird Cameo: She appears in Nyarai's debut chapter as a hostess in Club Nighthawk.
  • Facial Markings: When dressed as a Combagal, Ceila wears two purple stripes painted under her eyes.
  • Number Two: It is implied that she is second in rank to Nyarai as she personally talks with Shun during the Masato fight. This is seen when she asks Shun if they should interfere when Adelgund had Peki in a bear hug and Shun reassured her that there was no need to cheat.

     Bombastasia

  • Product Placement: She's promoting an anti-energy drink that's supposed to make people sleep easier.
  • Stronger Than They Look: She's considered the second strongest of the Cyclone Crushers, as seen with a billboard that refers to her as such.

Kellie Kardigan

A Leurdean cat girl who knows karate.

Kellie Kardigan ready to train her new student.

  • Alliterative Name: Both of her names start with the letter K.
  • Badass Teacher: A black belt in karate and elite Combagal, and she is skilled enough to teach it. She makes Fidah her student at the end of Act 1.
  • Beast Man: As a Leurdean, Kellie has human features with anthro features, having a human face with cat ears and large paws for hands and feet.
  • I Know Karate: Her main gimmick is that she uses karate with furry fighting. She even fights with a gi.
  • Martial Artists Are Always Barefoot: She wears a gi on the ring and fights barefoot. Considering her digitigrade paws, she may be barefoot outside the ring as well.

     Trulla

Trulla

A badger who uses sumo to fight.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1495_7.jpeg
The sumo wrestler of the Cyclone Crushers.

  • Sumo Wrestling: Her main gimmick is fighting with sumo.

     Lauren

Lauren

A giraffe who is a member of the Cyclone Crushers.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1493_69.jpeg
Lauren stands tall and proud.

  • Furry Reminder: She has to bend down her neck to be fed by her clients. This is a reminder to how giraffes developed long necks to eat leaves from tall trees.
  • Leg Focus: She is easily the tallest member of the Cyclone Crushers due to being a giraffe. As such, she has the longest legs of the team.
  • Long Neck: Being a giraffe, her neck is the longest of the group.
  • Romantic Spoonfeeding: In Chapter 33, Mellow sees her being fed by her clients as part of her service to them.

     Halla Roana

Halla Roana

A former racer who was recruited into furry fighting by Cookie.

Halla ready for battle.

  • Valkyries: Her motif is dressing like a Valkyrie.
  • Victory by Endurance: Her main strength was her endurance, allowing her to overcome her rivals when they ran out of stamina. This also applies to furry fighting as well.

     Freydar

Freydar

A mysterious Combagal who works for the Cyclone Crushers. Nyarai wants to be on her team. She finally appears on Chapter 29, determined to destroy Cookie's career once and for all.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bfe479a0_da76_41b4_80dc_fa520e135e06.jpeg
The Strongest Woman in Concatta.

  • The Ace: According to Cookie she was this.
  • Badass Teacher: She works as a trainer for the Cyclone Crushers and yet she can punch a whole in a window with ease.
  • The Berserker: Referred as such after throwing Golgadoo for calling her out on breaking into the Tendonchi Recap Show.
  • Beware of Vicious Dog: Her large height, musculature, angry expression, violent mood swings, and sharp teeth give this image.
  • Broken Ace: She overworked herself due to lot of matches Cookie had her fight, then had a painkiller addiction, and finally suffered a Career-Ending Injury that left her incapable of fighting unless she gets blind.
  • Came Back Strong: As stated by her in Chapter 31, she spent two years of her hiatus training, making her stronger than she was before. This is Played With as Golgadoo and Shun point out she still has her Career-Ending Injury that will make her blind if she gets hit in the head once.
  • Career-Ending Injury: No details are given yet, except that it happened during Trilamity Day. And the injury could led to Freydar getting blind if she were to fight professionally again.
  • Don't You Dare Pity Me!: She yelled this at a nurse during rehabilitation when she expressed sympathy at Freydar being unable to give a step during rehabilitation. She then proved her wrong when she gave her first step through sheer willpower.
  • Eye Scream: No details were given, but Cookie says she will go blind if she fights again.
  • Game-Breaking Injury: She still has her scar from her head injury. According to Golgadoo, who confirms it in Chapter 31, Freydar is still at risk of getting blind regardless of her being stronger than she was before if she gets hit again.
  • The Gift: Cookie mentioned to Muko that Freydar had so much natural talent that she could have defeated Donkizari had she actually brought it forth. Considering Donkizari is the World's Strongest Woman in this story, that's saying something of the potential Freydar had.
  • The Ghost: Not much has been seen of her other than her silhouette, but she does get mentioned many times in the story.
    • Subverted as of the end of Chapter 29.
  • Kick the Dog: Grabs Golgadoo by the neck and throws him for scolding her.
  • Like a Son to Me: Cookie considered her like a daughter. She is very heartbroken at how bad their relationship soured.
  • Loved by All: Beloved by fans and fellow Combagals. Even Nyarai holds her in high regard. There's a reason why her early retirement caused many to turn against Cookie.
  • Neck Lift: She can do this one-handed to Golgadoo before throwing him.
  • Noodle Incident: Trilamity Day. Not much is known about the incident, but she got a Career-Ending Injury out of it.
  • Revenge: As implied by Nyarai, part of the misfortunes that follow Cookie are done as revenge for causing her Career-Ending Injury with her poor management. Chapter 29 shows Freydar being the one who asked Shun to sabotage Cookie at any cost.
  • Revenge Before Reason: As seen in Chapter 31, Freydar breaks into the Tendonchi Challenges with the intention of giving a challenge to Cookie. The Bet consisted of Freydar facing Muko and Kalita 2 on 1 despite the possibility of one landing a blow on her head. She attacks Golgadoo when he calls her out. Fortunately, Shun calms her down and she alters the conditions to a 2 on 2 fight with Combagals she trained herself.
  • Took a Level in Jerkass: The flashback sequence in Chapter 30 shows that she was nice and friendly to Ida when she first met her. Now Freydar is willing to ally with a criminal to get Cookie to retire despite his dubious methods.
  • Super-Strength: She can drag and throw sarcophagi around, with one of them having Sephario inside.
  • Unusual Eyebrows: Her eyebrows are shaped like lightning.
  • Walking Spoiler: Her existence has much to do with Cookie's past as a manager.
  • Well-Intentioned Extremist: Besides getting revenge on Cookie, Freydar wants Cookie out of furry fighting to prevent her former Fortune Gals, now her students, from getting hurt like she was.
  • World's Strongest Woman: Her physical strength was superior to Donkizari. That's why many people believed that only Freydar had the power to defeat Donkizari and replace her as the Continental Champion.
  • You Have Failed Me: Pulls Nyarai out of the ring after she's defeated by Muko, calling her mediocre, and putting her inside a sarcophagus.

     Temsia

Temsia

An owl Combagal. She worked for the Fortune Factory alongside Copymeleon before Freydar joined in.

  • Hartman Hips: She has a pair of large hips, as shown in her image.

     Copymeleon

A chameleon Combagal. She worked for the Fortune Factory alongside Temsia before Freydar joined in.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/5395e0c7_8bf7_4d5a_816c_26efd3719271.jpeg
Copymeleon training.

  • Early-Bird Cameo: She appears in Chapter 6 as a hostess.
  • Lovable Lizard: Despite her allegiance, she cares about her fellow Cyclone Crushers. She is horrified when Nyarai breaks her own spine in the fight with Adelgund in Chapter 17 and celebrates her victory the next chapter.
  • Overly-Long Tongue: Being a chameleon, this is natural. Copymeleon flicks her tongue while talking with a client just before Nyarai kicks a perverted client out of the building.

     Spoiler Character

Sephario

A Kalandesian snake woman who is Nyarai's partner in the Cookie Crumble Match.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1659_7.jpeg
The Kalandesian Threat returns.

  • Early-Bird Cameo: She shows up as an action figure owned by a younger Cookie in in Chapter 7 and later as a poster in Muko's room in Chapter 8.
  • Eye Scream: She has a missing eye that was replaced with a glass eye.
  • Final Boss: She's the final threat that Muko and Kalita face at the end of Part 4 and the final opponent in Act 1. It also extends to the comic since it was Cut Short to end after her fight.

Bunburger Family

Muko's family, which is very dysfunctional. Besides Muko's perverted antics, it's also made of the elder daughter Saniko trying to keep the family together. The father, Bill Bunburger, is too depressed to get a job. And the mother is currently absent. As a result, the family has a very tense and depressed atmosphere when they spend time together.

     In General

in General

  • Dysfunctional Family: Since the death of Betsy, the family broke apart. Bill suffered from depression, Saniko was forced to work to keep the family thriving, and Muko suffered sexual abuse from her teacher, becoming a desperate young woman in search for love and attention through her perverted antics.

     Saniko Bunburger

Saniko Bunburger

Muko's overworked older sister who is worried about her younger sister's future. She grows more concerned upon finding out about Muko's choice of becoming a Combagal.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/168267ff_302e_4738_89d8_cf3c21c27ab9.jpeg
Eldest Bunburger Sister.

  • Big Sister Instinct: Chapter 19 has her track down Cookie and have her talk to Muko after the latter had an Heroic BSoD from the Masato match. When Cookie refuses, partially out of depression and partially out of guilt, Saniko nonchalantly promises to sue her for having her little sister fight bikers and get hurt in a shoot match. Cookie wisely complies.
  • Cassandra Truth: Warns Muko about her bad habit of not taking her passions seriously and then getting a Heroic BSoD when things don't go her way. She turns out to be way too right when she sees the tapes of the match and Muko is too broken, forcing Saniko to get Cookie to fix her sister.
  • The Dutiful Daughter: She works and takes care of Muko, since her father suffers from depression and is unemployed.
  • Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Saniko is the Responsible Sibling who has a job and pays for the living expenses for her younger sister. Muko is the Foolish Sibling who gets fired from her jobs and wants to become a Combagal to satisfy her lust.
  • Get Out!: A calm and subdued example, but Saniko makes it clear to Muko, after snapping out of her Heroic BSoD and ending her 10-Minute Retirement , that if she wants to resume her furry fighting career, she needs to become independent and find an apartment of her own.
  • My Beloved Smother: According to Muko in Chapter 19, she is this.
  • Promoted to Parent: Her parents are missing, so she has to take care of her grown-up sister by herself. Deconstructed, as Muko's childish and irresponsible way of life is taking a toll on her, even driving her to tears once.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Calls out Muko for entering furry fighting for the sake of groping girls and not caring about her future. Considering what happened at the Masato match, she was right.

     Bill Bunburger

Bill Bunburger

The father of Muko and Saniko. He was an Employee of the Year in 1993 a few years before the comic started. As of now, he’s depressed, neglectful, and a bit on the paranoid side. Because of his unemployment and health issues, Saniko was forced to work on his place, take care of him, and raise Muko.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20a402db_69b8_4279_a6f8_96149719d0d4.jpeg
Bunburger Patriarch

  • Blatant Lies: His first scene has him promising Saniko that he’s getting out of the house to look for a job. However, Saniko is unimpressed as he made that promise many times and failed to go through with it.
  • Children Raise You: His older daughter Saniko needs to take care of his health and pay the bills while he recovers from his condition.
  • Cloud Cuckoo Lander: He believes that his family is being spied on through electric sockets.
  • Conspiracy Theorist: He thinks Wilds steal jobs and Kalandesians plan on taking over the country by spying on people through electric sockets.
  • Disappeared Dad: Implied to be one to Muko. Despite being alive, Muko never mentioned him and he’s unaware that she moved out of home.
  • Fantastic Racism: He believes Wilds steal jobs from people like him. It’s unknown if this is due to animosity towards them or his deteriorating mental health. He also believes that the Kalandesians are spying on him and his family through electric sockets and have some sort of evil plan for the country.
  • Formerly Fit: He's overweight, but his picture taking on 1993 shows that he was a man with a fit frame.
  • Heroic BSoD: He appears to suffer a perpetual version of this trope as four years before the comic started he was the employee of the year and now he’s a paranoid and depressed chain smoking shell of the man he used to be.
  • I Was Quite a Looker: His Employee of the Year photo of 1993 shows Bill with more hair and in better physical shape. Four years later, he’s balding, with a messy beard, and overweight.
  • Never My Fault: He blames Wilds for stealing all the jobs and taking away his chance of recovering employment despite not making any effort to get out of the house to look for one himself.

     Betsy Bunburger

Betsy Bunburger

The matriarch of the Bunburger family. She was the mother of Muko and Saniko and the wife of Bill. She died two years before the start of the series in Trilamity Day. Her death left a huge impact on her family.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_1511_2.jpeg
Betsy Bunburger...Beloved wife and mother.
  • Alliterative Name: Her and her husband have names that start with B.
  • Body Horror: The last thing that Muko remembers of her mother was her body being melted and fused together along with her coworkers before the dragon burned it down.
  • Deceased Parents Are the Best: She's been dead for two years, but her daughters still love and miss her.
  • The Faceless: Muko has visions of her before the Cookie Crumble Match. Her face is blurry, representing Muko trying to repress her memories about Betsy's death. It's only after confronting her trauma that Muko is able to see her mother's face again.
  • The Ghost: She is frequently mentioned across the comic, but she doesn't appear until Part 4 of Act 1.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: She resembles her eldest daughter in appearance.

Roda Kira Gang

A gang of bikers that Kalita created a long time ago with Debbie and Leyline. The gang is mentioned for the first time when Kalita, Geffan, and Banske steal protection money from Cafe Carrots. The shakedown ends with a fight between Muko and Kalita that convinces Kalita to not take the money. Geffan and Banske point out that Gantus, their leader, won't be happy about it.

Part 3 elaborates more on the Roda Kira Gang. Debbie was the original leader of the gang, but she lost the position to Gantus in a bike race that ended with her in an accident. After taking control, Gantus earned the loyalty of most of the gang, including Leyline, by indulging them in their darkest desires.

Gantus has unknown plans involving a beautification process, which Kalita disapproves. This disapproval and losing badly to Gantus causes Kalita to quit the gang and become a Combagal.

The Roda Kira Gang on a darker path after Gantus became leader.

  • Badass Biker: They need to be this to a degree to join the gang.
  • Broken Pedestal: The whole gang became this to Kalita after she catches them burning a park and attacking homeless people.
  • Dirty Coward: They collectively get scared when Kalita threatens to kick their asses in Chapter 28. And then they laugh at her when Gantus scares her despite their earlier fear.
  • Hypocrite: They believe in strength, but they don't hesitate to bully the weak. They also get scared of fighting Kalita despite outnumbering her because she's stronger than her and they only have the guts to mock her after Gantus has already beaten her.
  • Opportunistic Bastard: It is implied that Gantus didn't truly corrupt the gang, but gave him a reason to indulge to their lowest instincts by throwing their morals away, as seen when he got the loyalty of Leyline by exploiting his drug problems.
  • Protection Racket: They do shakedowns where they offer businesses their protection for a sum of money. This is how Kalita met Muko at the end of Chapter 3.
  • Proud Warrior Race: Kalita considers the gang and each of their members to be this. Her flashbacks and dreams in Chapter 26 and Chapter 27 support it as well. Chapter 28 reveals that they're actually bullies who enjoy having Gantus as their leader because they engage in wanton destruction.

     Gantus

Gantus

The leader of the Roda Kira Gang. He's the one responsible for the gang doing shakedowns. In reality, he's the second leader of the Roda Kira Gang, having earned the right to be the leader after beating Debbie in a race.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/69f5fc1e_3065_46ef_b1b6_ff3aafe9157e.jpeg
Current Leader of the Roda Kira Gang.

  • Ambition Is Evil: One of the first things he had the Roda Kira Gang do is perform shakedowns, like the one Kalita did in the first chapters of Part 1. He also seems to have plans regarding a "beautification" project when confronted by Kalita in Chapter 27.
  • Asskicking Leads to Leadership: He beat Debbie, the original leader of the Roda Kira Gang, in a bike race to succeed her.
  • The Corrupter: He's this to the Roda Kira Gang as he had the members stray from the ideals Debbie made to follow his ambitions. He's also this to Leyline, exploiting his glue addiction by giving him more addictive substances.
  • The Dreaded: Not even Kalita wants to fight him alone, which is why she wants Debbie to help her defeat him.
  • Evil Is Bigger: He's taller than his underlings and he's also the one who corrupted the gang.
  • The Ghost: He's mentioned for the first time in Chapter 5, and he's only mentioned again in Chapter 27 when Kalita asks for Debbie's help in taking him down.
  • Make Me Wanna Shout: He takes down Kalita with nothing more than a (admittedly powerful) bark that sends her flying.
  • Large and in Charge: The second leader of the Roda Kira Gang is also its tallest member.
  • The Leader: The second leader of the Roda Kira Gang.
  • Villain Has a Point: He compares Kalita to an average bully, pointing out that she was able to put up a hardened badass image only around those she could beat up, but once she was on the receiving end she'd curl her tail between her legs.

     Debbie

Debbie

The original leader of the Roda Kira Gang and one of its three founders along with Leyline and Kalita. She lost the position after losing a bike race to Gantus one year before the comic started. Kalita calls her to ask for help in defeating him. However, the help Debbie has to offer is not what she wants.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/55d25b62_492b_44fd_b758_fe53f821c916.jpeg
First Founding Member and Leader of the Roda Kira Gang.

  • Authority Equals Asskicking: She was the original leader of the Roda Kira Gang. She was also a Badass Biker and could hold her own against Kalita in a fight.
  • Big Sister Mentor: She was this to Kalita in the past and tries to become this again after meeting one year after her departure. It doesn't take due to Debbie and Kalita having different views on family and the Roda Kira Gang.
  • Broken Pedestal: To Kalita after finding out she abandoned the biker lifestyle to be a mother and wife.
  • Cool Big Sis: To Kalita as she's happy to meet her again and catch up. She's also implied to be this to Leyline as she jokes about his habit of sniffing glue.
  • Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Kalita's flashback after her conversation with Debbie shows that she used to be one when she was still the leader of the Roda Kira Gang. It's also deconstructed as it is implied that Debbie remained a drinker even after quitting the biker lifestyle as she ordered a fancy bottle of wine by name, even after being pregnant. Kalita calls her out for drinking despite her pregnancy, telling her that she will be a horrible mother when she gives the poor excuse that she drinks occasionally.
  • Innocently Insensitive: She speaks about her time with the Roda Kira Gang as a childish phase that she outgrew, not realizing that Kalita sees the gang as her family. She also speaks on the importance of motherhood and starting a family, while forgetting that Kalita is an orphan, making her statement a sore spot for her.
  • The Leader: The original leader of the Roda Kira Gang.
  • Not Helping Your Case: Debbie has Kalita's best interests in her heart, but a poor choice of words ends up straining their friendship. She speaks about family and moving forward from the Roda Kira Gang, ignoring that the Roda Kira Gang is the closest thing that Kalita has to a family.
  • Pregnant Badass: Averted. When Kalita tries to fight her, Debbie calls her out and lets her know that her fighting days are over now that she's pregnant.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: She has bloodshot eyes. A flashback shows that Debbie didn't have them when she was young and that she probably got them due to a head injury in her race with Gantus. Subverted since Debbie abandoned the biker lifestyle to be a mother.
  • Retired Badass: She was the leader of the Roda Kira Gang, a biker, and a brawler. Now she'd rather be a housewife and mother.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: She calls out Kalita for flipping a table at her as she's pregnant and can't fight anymore.

     Leyline

Leyline

The second founding member of the Roda Kira Gang along with Debbie and Kalita. Unlike Kalita, he supports Gantus.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b91472c4_5a52_40f1_ab39_2ed614e72f0d.jpeg
Second Founding Member of the Roda Kira Gang.

  • King of Beasts: He is a lion and one of the strongest members of the Roda Kira Gang, being the second founding member.
  • Number Two: Implied to have been to Debbie in the past and to be this to Gantus in the present. Kalita refers to him as "second founding member" with some deference, implying that he has some rank above Kalita despite her founding the Roda Kira Gang alongside him and Gantus. He's also implied to be the second in command to Gantus as he's the highest ranking member of the gang who supports him.
  • Panthera Awesome: He is a lion, a Badass Biker of a famous biker gang, and one of its founding members.
  • Walking Shirtless Scene: He removes his school uniform before fighting Kalita.
  • Would Hit a Girl: The flashback in Chapter 34 reveals that he and Debbie met Kalita when they fought her to a draw. It shows that Leyline didn't discriminate in hurting Kalita despite her gender, much less ganging up on her with Debbie.

     Geffan & Banske

Geffan & Banske

Kalita's subordinates who help her steal from Cafe Carrots. One of them is a hyena and the other is an anteater.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1eb2cb62_4fa6_4aba_98f3_b5eaf9eac801.jpeg
Kalita's henchmen.

  • All There in the Manual: Their names, ages, and occupations are revealed after the fight between Muko and Kalita. That information only becomes relevant until Part 3 reveals more about Kalita's daily life.
  • Batter Up!: One of them uses a bat in an attempt to break the cash register.
  • Eye Scream: Banske accidentally cuts himself in the eye with his own claws after getting his leg broken.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: Geffan gets his arm broken with his own bat and Banske accidentally claws himself in the eye.
  • The Hyena: Literal example with one of them being a laughing hyena.
  • Lecherous Licking: Banske tries to use his anteater to tongue to flirt with one of the maids at Cafe Carrots. He gets a threat from Kalita for that. See Tongue Trauma below.
  • Teens Are Monsters: An extra reveals that they are 16 and 17 years old respectively.
  • Tongue Trauma: Kalita grabs and squeezes Banske by the tongue after he hits on a maid by trying to lick her.

Monyan

A soapland in Tendonchi. This soapland contains Cookie's office in the janitor's closet. Tasha, the owner of the soapland, lets Cookie live there indefinitely because one of her Combagals saved one of her workers from being raped by two clients. In gratitude, Tasha allows Cookie to live there and manage her business until she gets back on her feet.

     Tasha

Tasha

An attractive monkey woman and the owner of Monyan. She's an old friend of Cookie, letting her use her janitor closet as an office as payment for a favor.

Owner of Monyan

  • A Friend in Need: Gave Cookie a place to stay after she fell into poverty two years before the story began. She's still doing so without a complaint.
  • Bathing Beauty: Her first appearance is after coming straight out of a bath.
  • Nice Girl: She and her girls help Muko with her mental training...by letting her grope her breasts.
  • Undying Loyalty: She lets Cookie stay at her janitor closet for two years because one of her Combagals (Skully) saved one of her workers from being raped.
    • Despite the fact that she no longer works for Cookie, even working for an agency trying to discredit her, Tasha still has a billboard promoting Skully, mainly out of gratitude for saving her girls back then.

     Zebreastian

Zebreastian

An attractive zebra man who works as a receptionist at Monyan. Nothing is known about him other than he's handsome.

More information is given about him in extra pages of Chapter 25. He was a popular host who got many marriage proposals. He resorted to drinking until he vomited blood from stress. He then changed jobs to something less stressful.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/b3e86bd3_f0e5_4008_8de4_c64c48a96bc3.jpeg
Handsome Zebra Guy.

  • All There in the Manual: His life story is detailed in an epilogue page of Chapter 25.
  • Bishie Sparkle: He has some of this sparkles surrounding him to reflect his good looks.

Tendonchi Masters presenting a recap show.

  • Bunny-Ears Lawyer: Despite their quirks, they're the maximum authorities in Tendonchi in their respective fields. And it's through them that only one set of Combagals can fight the Tendonchi Champions once every six months.
  • Comic Trio: The three of them are the maximum authorities in Tendonchi, but they're also not in perfect synchronization. They tend to argue among each other, resulting in them making fools of themselves.
  • Freudian Trio: Brida is the Id as she's very expressive and excitable, Golgadoo is the Ego as he shows a balance between passionate emotional outbursts and stone cold professionalism, and Stonk is the Superego as he is mostly stoic and professional, only emoting when he's enjoying himself.
  • Hypocritical Humor: In Chapter 31, Stonk calls the challenge Golgadoo made boring because the Combagals stood there and did nothing, but the first part of his challenge involved the winners of that challenge standing around and doing nothing but playing crane and ball games. Brida later calls the rest of his challenge (zombie paintball) undignified, but hers was very lewd. Golgadoo angrily lampshades the hypocrisy both times, to the audience's amusement.

     Golgadoo

Golgadoo

The Master of Gastronomy. He's a rooster who is very passionate about the Tendonchi Challenges and expects his peers to do the same.

Master of Gastronomy.

  • Anger Born of Worry: Besides bypassing the Tendonchi Challenges with her bet, one of the reasons Golgadoo scolds Freydar is that she's gonna fight despite her Career-Ending Injury putting her at risk of being blind.
  • Serious Business: The Tendonchi Challenges must be completed to challenge the Tendonchi Champions without exception. He even stands up to Freydar to let her know his opinion, despite ending badly for him.

     Stonk

Master of Arcade.

  • Deadpan Snarker: Most of his insults and low opinions are given in deadpan.
  • Dirty Kid: Downplayed, he's not perverted, but he does make a pun about the contestants grabbing his balls.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Despite spending most of his appearance mocking Golgadoo, he's horrified when Freydar strangles him and throws him to the crowd.
  • Mouthy Kid: Calls the challenge that Golgadoo made boring to his face.
  • Nightmare Fetishist: His previous challenge was a paintball match with zombies made from the Combagals who lost the previous challenge.

Unfortunately, things get complicated when Kalita and the Roda Kira Gang arrive. The building is owned by Manugo and its workers are Shira, Mel, and Tunky.

     Manugo

Manugo

Muko's former boss and the owner of Cafe Carrots. He's a grumpy koala with a grudge against Muko for her poor work ethic.

Owner of Cafe Carrots.

  • The Bus Came Back: He returns in Chapter 33 as he's being interviewed by Miho, angrily recalling how Kalita destroyed his business and demanded protection money from him.
  • Mean Boss: Yells at his maids to do better when Muko is starting to beat them.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure:
    • On his first appearance in Chapter 2, he lets a scientist prove his robot maid to see if it works and only kicks them out when she malfunctions and attacks his clients.
    • He also accepted The Bet with Muko if she agreed to work a month for free.
  • "The Reason You Suck" Speech: After agreeing to The Bet with Cookie, he gladly calls out Muko for her lack of work ethic, telling her that he only kept her around as a favor to her mother. The last part actually got Muko to be quiet.
  • What the Hell, Hero?: Angrily demands Cookie to pay for the damages to his building after the fight with Kalita. Poor Cookie ends with a bigger debt.

     Shira, Mel, and Tunky

Shira, Mel, and Tunky

Muko's Maid Coworkers.

  • The Bus Came Back: For Mel and Tunky, who didn't appear again since Chapter 5, they reappear again in Chapter 24, slandering Muko by retelling how she used to steal their underwear in an interview with Miho, further destroying her reputation.
  • The Cameo: Mel and Tunky have a flashback one in Chapter 23 as one of the many people who looked down on Muko throughout the comic.
  • Jerkass Has a Point: Mel and Tunky are, contrary to Shira, not moved by Muko's bravery, pointing out that she lost and she ended up destroying the cafe.
    • Their actions in Chapter 24, where they slander Muko in their interview with Miho is justified as victims of sexual harassment are not forgiving and Muko showed that she cared more about her libido than fighting seriously before her Character Development took place.
  • Kick the Dog: Mel and Tunky show little gratitude for Muko trying to defend them from Kalita, bluntly pointing out that Muko lost and destroyed Cafe Carrots during the fight. They also slander her on Chapter 24 when interviewed by Miho, not hesitating to mark her as a sex offender despite not doing anything to them since their last meeting.
  • Pet the Dog: Shira was willing to pay Cookie the money of The Bet they made, which contained her pay and those of Mel and Tunky as payment for Muko defending Cafe Carrots from Kalita despite her loss. She also attends Muko's match and is horrified when she watches Nyarai give Muko a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown that leaves her crying.
  • Ungrateful Bitch: A justified example, but Mel and Tunky point out that Muko did more harm than good fighting Kalita and she still lost without landing a single hit on the vixen.

New Reporter of the Spotter.

  • Arc Villainess: Of Part 3 as her Malicious Slander is hindering Muko and Cookie's progress as they attempt to train on a gym. It also destroys their credibility as a Face team since Muko is depicted as a sexual offender and Kalita is incriminated as responsible for a fire caused by the Roda Kira Gang.
  • Beware the Silly Ones: Her silly and adorable appearance makes one forget that she's the one who broke Team Executor apart by sleeping with Adelgund. Also, despite being an Intrepid Reporter capable of getting lots of factual information, she's not above Malicious Slander to destroy Muko's reputation by incriminating her as a sex offender.
  • Blank White Eyes: Miho has white eyes and a blank expression on her face that make her look dumb. In reality, she's smarter and more malicious than she looks.
  • The Bus Came Back: She disappeared after the Masato match and returned as a reporter for the Spotter.
  • Dogs Are Dumb: Subverted as her silly appearance hides a smart investigator, reporter, and manipulator.
  • Hidden Depths: Her first appearance was as a stripper in Part 2. By the time she returns in Part 3, she shows a talent for journalism.
  • Intrepid Reporter: She manages to obtain lots of Muko's personal information in a matter of weeks, including an incident that happened a year and a half before the comic started.
  • Kick the Dog: Despite being a dog herself, Miho can do some nasty slandering on Spotter. Beside painting her as a pervert through testimony from Mel, Tunky, and Roora, Chapter 24 ends with Miho incriminating Muko as a sex offender by having an interview with Matroshka, her former school teacher, who acts as if Muko manipulated her into a relationship.
  • Malicious Slander: Miho ends Chapter 24 by by using an interview with Muko's teacher Matroshka where Matroshka herself accuses Muko of manipulating her into a relationship.

Manager of the Doable Dolls.

  • Ambiguous Situation: It is unknown what happened to her after she fired Paipu. While Snuggly has a new manager, it's unclear if Borsha fired her or if she quit. Likewise, Sleepy also has a new look and there's no indication if Borsha fired her for not showing up at the contest when she was needed most.
  • Barefoot Cartoon Animal: Like most avian characters in the comic, she walks on bare talons.
  • Nervous Wreck: She panics when Sleepy can't attend to the concert because of her Potty Emergency and spends most of her scene crying whereas Snuggly and Paipu at least keep her cool.
