Act 1: A Rough Start

     Part 1: Outsider

Fight 1: Fenny VS Roora

  • Mellow acting as Mr. Exposition to Muko, explaining to her the development of the match between Fenny and Roora.
  • Fenny's manager going Mama Bear when Roora grabs Fenny by the tail, when she yells at the referee for not interfering, and when she shouts at Roora to let her Combagal go.
  • After suffering a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown from Roora, Fenny makes a comeback and earns a hard-earned victory.
    • Watching this victory inspires Muko to become a Combagal.

Chapter 2: Get Ready

  • Cookie's office is at a janitor's closet behind a soapland. Why's that? Her friend owed her a favor so she let Cookie stay there until she was back on her feet. Despite Cookie staying longer than anticipated, her friend never kicked her out.
  • How did Muko learn the necessary steps to become a Combagal? Fenny personally told her. Despite the fact that Muko broke into the showers, Fenny answered Muko's questions happily despite having no obligations to do so, and having pretty much every reason to be mad at Muko like Roora was, which shows how much she cares about her fans.
    • Muko not caring about the fact she got kicked in the face by Roora as she sees the lump she got from her as an autograph.

Chapter 3: Hard Working Dreamer

  • Saniko is introduced as a Cool Big Sis to Muko, knowing about her passions and refusing to let Muko quit her job just because of random dream-chasing. It shows a strict, but loving personality that looks after her younger sister.
  • Muko's boss points out that she was a bad worker. Why did he put up with her? He did it out of respect for Muko's mom. This causes Muko to silently go with The Bet without complaint.
  • Cookie giving Muko some advice regarding her social anxiety around male customers to win The Bet on who can do better customer service as a maid between Muko and her three former maid co-workers. Muko pretty much has it on the bag with that pep-talk.
    • What was part of Cookie's advice for Muko to improve her customer service? Treat the male customers the same way she wants her favorite Cimbagals to treat her.
  • Muko cheering up Harry, a suicidal fish who was close to being Driven to Suicide after being fired and then abandoned by his family, with her customer service being the closest thing to kindness he's received in a long time. He shows signs of becoming Muko's fan when Cookie gives him a poster promoting Muko as a Combagal.
    • The male customers asking service from Muko after seeing how nicely she treats Harry.
    • Harry being Muko's greatest asset by asking for more items from the store, nearly helping her win the contest if it weren't for Kalita barging in at the wrong time.

Chapter 4: The World Is Your Ring

  • The introduction of Kalita, the leader of a biker gang, who goes to the cafe for protection money. Despite being set as a threat, she stops one of her subordinates from sexually harassing one of the waitresses, showing that even as the leader of a biker gang, she won't tolerate such behavior.
  • While part of it is done out of lust and treating the fight as if it were a wrestling match rather than a brawl, Muko stepping in to prevent Kalita and her gang from stealing the cafe's money is admirable.
  • Harry, the fish customer from the previous chapter, being the only character in the chapter who thinks Muko has a chance against Kalita, whereas everyone (including Cookie) thinks that Muko will lose due to her lack of fighting abilities and not taking the situation seriously.

Chapter 5: Roda Kira's Killer Star Kalita

  • Kalita's followers promoting her. Not only is she one of the three founding members of her gang, but she's also a One-Woman Army who took down a rival gang with her brawling skills. It shows how much they admire their leader.
  • Kalita growing Villain Respect for Muko and not robbing the cafe.
  • Despite losing the fight, some characters recognize Muko's courage.
    • It is implied that Kalita underwent a Heel Realization as she points out that she forgot her pride as a biker until she remembered it by fighting Muko. The fact that she could have taken the money despite busting the store is proof that her beliefs are stronger than ever.
    • Cookie has So Proud of You look on her face because Muko didn't give up despite the odds.
    • Harry becomes Muko's first fan, being inspired to live after starting his day with a suicidal mindset.
    • Finally, Shira being the only one of the three maids, willing to give Cookie the money from The Bet as gratitude for Muko protecting the store...only for the owner to demand it back as compensation for the damages they made.

Chapter 6: The Smiling Nighthawk

  • Nyarai briefly calming down when Shun arrives to talk with the perverted hippo customer. She is actually content to let him talk things through with a hippo who is groping her and insulting her for being a Wild. She only attacks the hippo as soon as Shun gives her permission. It shows how much she respects her manager.
  • Shun's respect for Nyarai and the Cyclone Crushers is evident by their mutual trust in each other. Despite being the owner of a nightclub and capable of hiring bouncers, Shun respects his Combagals so much that he'd rather let them deal with their problems, showing his trust in their fighting skills.
  • Shun tells Nyarai that not all men are like the hippo she beat up.
    • While the chapter ends in a darker note because it promises something bad for Cookie in the future, Shun promising to make Nyarai a star shows that there is some sort of friendship between the two.

     Part 2: Cheater

Chapter 7: The Good and The Bad

  • Cookie mentally scolds herself for allowing Muko to fight Kalita and then gives Muko Tough Love by giving her a similar scolding and demanding her not to take painkillers.
  • Despite being in greater debt than before, Cookie buys Muko a Donkizari action figure, using it as a way to explain her childhood dreams regarding furry fighting.
    • Watching young Cookie playing with action figures and dreaming of becoming a Combagal is adorable.
    • In current times, Cookie explains that her body size made it impossible to become a Combagal, so she compensated by becoming a manager and training a Combagal who dreams to become a champion in her place.
  • Cookie refusing to tell Muko about them being in debt, mainly to prevent her from feeling worse about not being able to help them with Kalita.

Chapter 8: Crossed Wires

  • Mellow meeting and befriending Harry. Despite an awkward first meeting, with Mellow assuming Harry is a creep, the two hit it off after sharing a few stories.
    • Harry making a fan shirt of Muko. It shows that he's worthy of being a fan.
  • Mellow taking Muko to her first furry fighting match (the fight between Fenny and Roora) and getting her phone number. While it's clear he's nowhere close to being in a relationship with her, it's clear that Muko considers him a friend now.
  • Muko looking at a selfie of herself and Nyarai (who is not happy about it) in her phone, happy that she'll have someone looking out for her in a fight.

Chapter 9: Are You Even A Woman?

  • Muko making short conversation with Handsome Zebra Guy while she waits for Cookie and the others for the match meeting.
    • Handsome Zebra Guy trying to tell Muko about the dangers of furry fighting, such as not all Combagals are attractive and that even beautiful Combagals can be brutal in the ring.
  • Muko meeting Tasha, the owner of Monyan, who reveals that she lets Cookie stay in her closet because Skully, Cookie's Combagal at the time, saved one of her employees from two rapists, and she's been grateful ever since.
  • Muko's first meeting with Nyarai, giving her a hug and taking the selfie of the previous chapter with her.
  • Muko noticing that Cookie put on make-up and that raises her attractiveness to a 2. While she indirectly insulted her manager, it was nice of Muko to notice.

Chapter 10: Shady Business

  • Cookie's Imagine Spot showing Nyarai and Muko rescuing her with big smiles on their faces.
    • In a way, while Cookie already knows how strong Nyarai is, the fact that Muko is considered among Cookie's rescuers shows how much Cookie has grown to respect Muko for her courage despite her lack of skill.
  • Adelgund taking Nyarai's phone and reading the article about Muko and Cafe Carrots. Despite the article labeling Muko as a pervert and as an amateur, Adelgund just smiles and says she prefers her over Nyarai.
    • Adelgund patting Nyarai on the back, pointing out she didn't mean to offend her when she said she preferred Muko over her.

Chapter 11: Ding! Ding! Debut!

  • The first appearance of Snuggly as she sings a song that entrances the audience.
  • Muko being very nervous when entering the ring. What calms her down? The sight of Mellow and Harry? Her first two fans! Muko raises her first and throws it in the air to let them know she's ready.
  • The popularity of Team Executor as Adelgund enters the ring. Muko even notices how popular the champion is.

Chapter 12: Selling

Chapter 13: Judging

  • Muko calling Nyarai her friend after tagging her in.
  • The Exe-Cutie-Ves show their love for Adelgund by trying to arrest Shun for interfering with the match. Unfortunately...
    • The Cyclone Crushers showing their Undying Loyalty to Shun Gonfano by acting as his bodyguard.

Chapter 14: Unfolding

  • Adelgund making Muko her new partner, naming her "Deputy Muko" with a special collar, and having her fight Nyarai so that Muko could have personal revenge against her for betraying Team Deliverance.
    • While it backfired, it's clear that Adelgund didn't know how outmatched Muko was and she intends to correct her mistake by defeating Nyarai.
  • Cookie giving Muko advice on using ropes to escape Nyarai's hold. While this only earns her a small respite since Nyarai's speed allows her to cross the distance and continue the assault, it shows that Cookie was trying everything in her power to help Muko.
  • Muko attempting to reach Nyarai, pointing out that they were friends. When that friends, she calls her out for betraying Cookie, which appears to hurt her even more.
  • During the middle of the match, Cookie attempts to reason with Nyarai on the verge of tears. She points out that being with Shun is a Deal with the Devil and that being with him will destroy Nyarai's career in the long-term. Even though Nyarai just hurt her reputation even more and is hurting her new protege, Cookie has enough heart to forgive Nyarai as long as she tries to do the right thing while it's not too late.
  • Nyarai reveals that she hated doing every second of Shun's scheme, but she felt obligated to do so out of respect for the life Cookie took: Freydar. The fact that Nyarai at one point loved and/or respected someone so much she'd be willing to go this far shows how much Freydar meant to her.
  • Cookie shouting at the referee when Nyarai is slamming Muko's head into the mat until she starts bleeding. Unfortunately, to Cookie's despair, Shun bribed the referee so she has to watch the beating hopelessly.
  • Shira being among the audience who went to Muko's match and being horrified by Nyarai's No-Holds-Barred Beatdown as she cries at the act. At this point, she's Muko's third fan besides Mellow and Harry.
  • Adelgund preparing to fight Nyarai to defend Muko's honor.

Chapter 15: Cracking

  • Cookie's immediate concern for Muko after getting out of the ring, asking her if she's okay and if she wants to get out of there.
  • The fact that Adelgund is still popular despite Shun's tape incriminating her.
  • After being taken out with a knee to the nose, Nyarai tags out of the match. Jowdie immediately cries for her friend and puts her head on her lap.
  • Peki and Adelgund's relationship, especially with how they became champions.
    • Peki teaching Adelgund to control her strength.
    • The two of them becoming champions.
  • A fan noticing that Adelgund was technically cheating by having two assistants grab Peki's leg so that she could grab her. It shows that Peki is gaining back her old popularity back.
  • Peki recovering her old "Punching Peki" nickname back.

Chapter 16: Breaking

  • What was the main reason Team Executor allowed Team Deliverance to let them win against them on their first match? Cookie gave them the idea of letting Peki have a Heelā€“Face Turn when they won, but she used it to return to Adelgund.
    • The fact that Adelgund was willing to give up her belt if she has the chance of having Peki fight alongside her as a Face team is sweet.
  • Peki recovering her missing popularity as she starts getting the upper hand against Adelgund, with the fans cheering for her as she starts winning.
  • The audience turning against Adelgund when she breaks Peki's limbs out of spite.

Chapter 17: Unleashing

  • The beginning of the chapter is a commercial with Snuggly. Despite being last seen crying after her defeat by Tanka Talon, she makes light of her loss and promotes her product.
  • The fans cheering for Peki for giving a good fight as she's being taken to the hospital.
    • The fact that two members of the Cyclone Crushers take her there shows that Peki might as well be one of them.
  • The Exe-Cutie-Ves being loyal to Adelgund despite what she did. Arguing with the audience and still cheering for her.
  • Nyarai breaking her own spine causes universal horror from friend and foe alike.
    • Cookie is horrified despite Nyarai acting as The Mole being the main reason her reputation is ruined and her victory would probably put Cookie in bigger depth.
    • Adelgund is horrified at the idea of crippling, or perhaps killing someone else.
    • Jowdie and a few of the Cyclone Crushers break down in tears at the thought of her friend being crippled or dead.
  • A villainous one for Shun, but him knowing that Nyarai's biggest weapon are her legs when she's about to unleash Leg-Jet Burst is a bit sweet because it means that Nyarai showed her technique to him on private. Considering how not even the Cyclon Crushers knew of her Abnormal Limb Rotation Range until she broke her limbs, Nyarai must have shared her secret fighting techniques to people she trusts.
  • Muko trying to tag Adelgund when she's being overwhelmed by Nyarai, despite the fact that Nyarai is using her full strength and Muko lost to her while she was using a weaker style, meaning she was going to be hurt worse if she fought her again.
    • Why does Muko want to tag Adelgund? She trusts her. She thinks that Adelgund only pretends to hurt others when in reality she's a nice person.
  • Adelgund being a Graceful Loser as she acknowledges Nyarai as "the bigger predator" after the latter breaks her arms. She stands there and lets Nyarai deal the finishing blow while she uses her final words to give Muko advice on what it means to be a Combagal.
    • Before being knocked out, Adelgund acknowledges that she and Muko are Birds of a Feather because she read the article and she knew that Muko defended the cafe out of a sense of justice. As such, she wanted to use her last moments as a fighter teaching Muko the true meaning of furry fighting, giving Muko some advice before being struck down.

Chapter 18: Falling

  • Nyarai dedicating her victory to someone named Lenny.
  • Shun reaffirming Nyarai, who doesn't know how to process people treating her like a hero given how nobody cares about Wilds, that she's a champion. Nyarai just laughs in a happy boisterous way and lifts the belt while Jowdie and some of the Cyclone Crushers go to hug her.
  • Cookie calling out Dinedon for betraying Team Executor.
  • Cookie trying to comfort Muko with light joking, such as Muko trying to spy on the shower rooms again. She also attempts to pay her the money she earned despite her loss.
  • Cookie admitting her role with Freydar, mainly that she caused her a Career-Ending Injury by overworking her and then getting her to fight in an event called Trilamity Day. Considering that Chapter 14 implied this is My Greatest Failure for Cookie, her sharing it with Muko shows how much she trusts Muko.
    • Muko being happy that Cookie isn't a murderer and being more disappointed that her manager wasn't more open with her about her past since the start. It shows that Muko can be more forgiven when compared to the audience at the stadium despite her immaturity.
    • One of the reasons why Muko is experiencing Heroic BSoD besides watching Adelgund being hospitalized? She realized how the three Combagals were amazing fighters, whereas she joined the fight just to grope girls.
  • Muko keeping the collar Adelgund gave her as a Tragic Keepsake as a sign of respect.
  • The last page that shows Adelgund and Peki back when they were a couple.

Chapter 19: Despite Everything

  • Saniko visiting Cookie to convince her to snap out of her Heroic BSoD that lasted days.
  • Cookie sharing her story with Muko about how she hit her Despair Event Horizon after Trilamity Day. The story pretty much involved Cookie becoming The Alcoholic and becoming a Broken Pedestal to the Cyclone Crushers who used to work with her. Sharing that with someone else to help them with their depression is both awesome and a sign of mutual assurance.
  • Muko and Cookie asking each other to be Combagal and manager.
    • For Cookie's part, she lets Muko know that she'll be hated simply for being associated with her and that she will have to work extra hard to reach her goals.
    • Muko acknowledging her flaws and that she wants to become strong until she beats Nyarai, whom she acknowledges as her first rival.
  • Muko hugging Cookie after snapping out of her Heroic BSoD following Cookie's flashback. Unlike before, Cookie is happy with the affection.
  • Saniko confirming that Adelgund is alive, albeit with a broken jaw and a concussion. Considering that Chapter 18 ended with her health ambiguous, mainly a broken jaw and burns around her face, finding out that she's alive is comforting.
  • Muko is allowed by Saniko to pursue her dream of being a Combagal after Muko calls her out for being too smothering. That being said, Saniko will only allow Muko to continue her dream if she moves out of her apartment and learns to be an adult.
    • Muko using Cookie's office as her first choice of a home, not minding the lack of space.
      • Muko telling Cookie that she plans to buy an apartment in the future, showing that she did take her sister's words to heart.

     Part 3: Bully

Chapter 20: Killer Overture

  • The character sheet in this new part. It shows Muko happily carrying Cookie on her shoulders with the squirrel enjoying the ride.
  • The next page shows that Kalita will become a Combagal at some point in the future, becoming the partner that Muko deserves.
  • Donkizari appearing at the ring and the audience adoring her presence.
    • Despite the fact that Donkizari turned out to be Snuggly in disguise, her popularity does not diminish as they understand it was a good-spirited joke.
  • Snuggly hesitating to fight against Sleepy at the climax of their fight despite them brutally pounding each other for twenty minutes, since she still considers the fennec her friend.

Chapter 21: The Streak

  • Muko bearing no ill will to Kalita despite the beating she got from her, even attempting to present herself as a new Muko to show her new commitment as a Combagal.
  • Muko attempting to pay Cookie's loan with the Briefcase Full of Money that Shun Gonfano gave her years ago. It doesn't work since Cookie is broke, but the fact that Muko tried is still sweet.
  • Cookie not losing faith on herself despite poverty and debts from becoming The Gambling Addict and being labeled as "Misfortune Cookie" by everybody. Muko is actually touched by her courage.
  • Muko engaging Kalita in a rematch the second she threatens Cookie.
  • Handsome Zebra Guy remembering Kalita and Saniko asking for Cookie, with each of them sporting a Death Glare in a flashback. It shows Saniko has a Big Sister Instinct despite her disagreements with her younger sister.

Chapter 22: The Grit

  • While it's part of a tearjerker, Kalita pointing out her disappointment of Muko, referring to her by name and telling her she expected better. It shows that a part of Kalita still holds Villain Respect for Muko for standing up to her many chapters ago.
  • Cookie getting Muko to turn solid again by telling her that You Are Better Than You Think You Are and even using her own Determinator status to convince Muko to keep fighting no matter how many times she fall.
  • During Muko's flashbacks, we see a rabbit woman who looks lovingly at her. Unlike the other characters who hurt Muko or looked down on her, it's clear that she cares for her. It's implied that she's Muko's mother and that she deeply misses her.
  • Cookie acknowledging Muko as her last lifeline causes Muko to have a Heroic Second Wind after being in the middle of a second breakdown.
    • How does Muko's final round with Kalita starts? By grabbing Cookie's hand to stand up, showing their restored bond as Combagal and manager.
    • Cookie gives Muko a new costume to fight Kalita and cheers for her as she's about to fight. One can say she's Muko's fan just as much as her manager.

Chapter 23: The Rumbling

  • Cookie rushing to Muko's aid after Kalita gives her a One-Hit Kill immediately after her defeat, showing concern for her safety.
    • Cookie calling Muko a damage sponge shows that Cookie acknowledge that Muko is tough for her ability to take damage despite being a lousy fighter, acknowledging her potential.
  • Cookie once again invites Kalita to become a Combagal, even remembering her speech at Cafe Carrots, implying that she respects her as a person and fighter.
    • Muko immediately recovering consciousness at the thought of Kalita being her partner.
  • Despite her current situation as a Loan Shark threatening Muko and Cookie, it is implied that Kalita quit the Roda Kira Gang out of principles.

Chapter 24: The Clearing

  • Cookie comforting Muko after she starts regretting her challenge to Kalita pointing out that she actually made a right choice.
    • Muko's challenge allowed Cookie to regain her foresight, meaning that she has an idea of what path they should take rather than take risks or gambles.
    • Cookie genuinely thinks that Muko can defeat Kalita and turn her into her tag team partner. She also believes that Muko and Kalita will replace Skully and Bolouma as the Tendonchi Champions. She thinks that Muko will defeat the Cyclone Crushers and eventually get revenge on Nyarai. And she will keep winning until she finally beats Donkizari. Cookie's faith in Muko is definitely worth noting after seeing how many people look down on the perverted rabbit.
  • Cookie taking Muko to the Megaton Punch gym to be trained by Patchwork into the next Donkizari. When Patchwork shoves them out for no reason, Cookie tries to remain positive for Muko, even laughing merrily as she drags the crying rabbit into the second gym.
    • Patchwork telling Muko and Cookie to try their luck in another gym. It shows that it's nothing personal if she's willing to at least give the pair a chance of getting stronger in other establishments after finding out the true reason she didn't let them go.
  • After being rejected a third time, Cookie enters into a screaming outburst and Muko calms her down.
    • The gym owner reveals that he's not banning Cookie and Muko because of Cookie's reputation, showing that there are people other than Muko who forgave Cookie for what happened with Freydar. He even tells Cookie why he's banning them by advising them to check Spotter.
  • Cookie getting enraged that Spotter made another article designed to tarnish Muko's image further.
    • Muko reassuring Cookie that she doesn't mind what Spotter writes about her...until she watches the video.
    • Cookie reacting with concern upon seeing Muko's Thousand-Yard Stare at the Spotter article and reacting with horror upon seeing the video.
  • Despite not saying or doing anything during the interview with Miho, Shira doesn't badmouth Muko when Miho interviews Mel and Tunky. She even looks guilty at her inability to defend her.
  • Even though she ends up throwing Muko under the bus, Muko's teacher admits that she still misses her husband and her two sons.

Chapter 25: The Taste Of Pancakes

  • The cover shows Muko happily training with Cookie on her back, showing that the events of the previous chapter didn't slow them down.
  • Cookie's main concern after finishing the Spotter article is Muko. She tries to comfort her and then goes looking for her when she notices Muko went missing.
  • Despite being hurt by Matroshka using her as The Scapegoat during the Spotter article, Muko looks fondly at their time together.
  • Cookieā€™s motivational speech to Muko actually inspires Muko to start training. She even picks up Cookie and breaks through a window.
  • The Monyan girls helping Muko overcome her Fatal Flaw of Lustful Melt by allowing Muko to grope them as mental training.
    • Itā€™s even more heartwarming since Muko was recently incriminated as a sex offender, showing that they donā€™t judge.
      • Two of the Monyan girls are the same girls who freaked out when Muko melted a few chapters ago. This makes their assistance a Pet the Dog moment on their part.
  • Saniko being concerned for Mukoā€™s reputation despite their falling out at the end of Part 2. Sheā€™s doing this while taking care of their mentally ill parent.
    • Sanikoā€™s whole character becomes this as a whole. She overworked herself not only to make up for her fatherā€™s share of work but to raise Muko, who couldnā€™t finish high school due to the incident with Matroshka. Even now, sheā€™s still the The Dutiful Daughter as she cares for her dadā€™s smoking habits while keeping track of her younger sisterā€™s whereabouts.

Chapter 26: Daylight

  • Kalitaā€™s flashback/dream ends with her riding into the night with her fellow Roda Kira Gang Captains and laughing into the night. You can see this is the happiest sheā€™s ever been in her life.
  • Mukoā€™s morning routine with Cookie.
    • The look of love Muko gives Cookie upon waking up is one of family and gratitude. She later wakes up Cookie with a beaming smile on her face.
    • Muko making silly faces in the mirror shows that she never let the Spotter article break her spirit.
  • Kalita cooking for her fellow orphans and then having a nice chat with all of them. It shows that sheā€™s a Cool Big Sis despite her earlier actions.
  • Cookie revealing to Muko that she found a mentor for Muko. Considering that Muko was rejected by many gyms due to being painted as a sex offender. It is nice to see someone giving her the benefit of the doubt.
    • Cookieā€™s genuine confidence regarding Mukoā€™s new mentor is that they are the same. Itā€™s nice to see the squirrel full of hope, especially more when she knows thereā€™s somebody she can trust.
  • The whole chapter shows that Muko, despite having nothing, except the hate of the audience she wants to impress, is perfectly happy living in Monyan with Cookie, happy to pursue her dream with a person who believes in her. This is in contrast to Kalita, who has a promising future but is unsatisfied with her current lifestyle.

Chapter 27: Playtime Is Over

  • Kalita asking Debbie for help in defeating Gantus and restoring the Roda Kira Gang to the way it used to be. It shows how much Kalita loves her gang and how much she trust Debbie's strength as a fighter if she thinks she can defeat Gantus with her by her side.
    • Kalita asking Debbie to be the leader again despite not being active for a year. It shows that Kalita still looks up to Debbie as the true leader of the Roda Kira Gang despite her absence.
  • Debbie proves to be a Cool Big Sis to Kalita as she tries to spend the evening talking with the vixen about how their life is doing rather than focusing on the gang.
    • Despite being out of touch with the Roda Kira Gang, Debbie is happy to remember Leyline, jokingly asking Kalita if he's still sniffing glue.
  • Debbie reveals to Kalita that she retired from her biker lifestyle after her accident, married her doctor, and is expecting a baby. She's very happy with her current lifestyle and encourages Kalita to move forward to a better future away from the Roda Kira Gang.
  • While their meeting did not go the way either of them expected, it's clear Debbie loves Kalita like a sister and wants the best for her. She's distraught at her being obsessed with the Roda Kira Gang, seeing it as a self-destructive path and wants her to move on. She preaches the importance of family but backs away when remembering that Kalita is an orphan, feeling guilty for forgetting the fact.
    • A small Pet the Dog moment for Kalita is seen when she calls out Debbie for drinking during her pregnancy. Despite her issues with family, Kalita still has enough respect for it to care about Debbie's baby by scolding Debbie for her drinking habits when her baby isn't born yet.
      • While a sad moment, Kalita remembers her time with the founders of the Roda Kira Gang. Special emphasis is put on Debbie, showing how much their fight hurt her.
  • Kalita's outrage against Gantus for forcing the Roda Kira Gang to start a fire and beat up homeless people. It angers her so much that, despite her fear of facing him alone without Debbie's help, she decides to fight him on her own to restore her gang.

Chapter 28: The World's Biggest Asshole

  • Kalita defending the raccoon from Geffan and Banske, telling him to take his fellow homeless people to safety.
    • The raccoon remembering Kalita as a runaway he met years ago also makes the scene sweeter. While it's not sure if Kalita remembers him or not, it's clear that she does remember the feeling of being homeless and won't let her gang bully those who have nowhere to go.
  • Kalita's visible concern when Leyline shows up. Even though Leyline chose Gantus over her, she knows he's as much of a victim as Debbie was.
    • Kalita showing growing anger and disgust when Gantus keeps groping Leyline in front of her.
  • After being expelled by Gantus, Kalita declares her intention of taking back the Roda Kira Gang, pointing out how Debbie and Leyline founded it with her. Even though Debbie became a Broken Pedestal to her in the previous chapter and Leyline is useless because of his drug habit, Kalita still holds them in high regard.
    • It's brief, but when Kalita attacks Gantus a second time, Leyline reacts by turning his head and looking at her. It is implied that he still remembers his bond with Kalita, but he's too drugged to stand by her side, which is why he joins Gantus in laughing at her defeat.
  • After three depressing chapters for her, Kalita recovers her warrior spirit, crumpling her college letter and declaring herself the world's biggest asshole. Whatever Kalita is planning on doing, she's ready to make things right.

Chapter 29: Nightshine

  • Cookie intending to treat Muko to a meal after working so hard on her training. Considering how cheap Cookie is because of her debt, this is a Pet the Dog moment that shows how much she cares for her Combagal.
    • Cookie's mood as she's walking besides Muko. Despite Muko complaining, it's clear that Cookie is happy and grateful with her presence, which is why she's giving her a treat. Just like there's not a thing that Muko won't do for Cookie there's not a thing that Cookie won't do for Muko.
  • Cookie protesting to Kalita when she shows up again, saying that the deadline is not over yet. While Muko is ready to fight despite being scared, it's clear that Cookie doesn't want Muko to get hurt by Kalita on her behalf again.
  • Muko briefly forgetting about her fight with Kalita when the latter takes her and Cookie to a casino, musing how it's her first time going to one. She's clearly having fun hanging out with Kalita, admiring the waitresses, and seeing the games.
    • Cookie firmly refusing an offered drink, refusing to fall to the vice that caused her to lose the respect of her former Combagals.
  • In a way, Kalita's scheme with the roulette using Cookie's bad luck for their benefit. Not only was she getting the promised money but Cookie's own curse would be used to get rid of her biggest obstacle: the debts that have been chasing her since the beginning of the story.
  • Both of Cookie's bets can give ephemeral feelings of happiness before she loses her money and ends up with a bigger debt that forces her to work harder.
    • Cookie's first debt actually has her winning at roulette. Muko even hugs and congratulates her for winning at something for the first time in two years. The only reason things went wrong is because Cookie needed to lose this time.
    • Cookie's second bet is made by Muko. The bunny bets on red, against Cookie's wishes, because she needs to believe that Cookie will win to ensure her victory. While she loses the rest of Cookie's money, Muko believing in Cookie was a nice gesture.
  • Muko comforting Cookie after she got her debt doubled at the casino and then trying to force Kalita to fix Cookie's debt by trying to fight her, looking mad at the vixen for inconveniencing her manager.
    • Cookie showing concern for Muko when she faints, even worrying if she has lingering head damage from her fight with Nyarai. Thankfully, she's just exhausted.
  • Kalita taking Muko and Cookie to a restaurant is a nice gesture considering her previous meetings with the duo.
    • Kalita finally becoming a Combagal by accepting the proposal that Cookie made to her a few chapters ago is an unexpected blessing for Muko and Cookie, who react with shock at the big news. Cookie finally gets a strong Combagal with talent that will become the powerhouse of her dream team, and Muko is given an ally that won't betray her like Nyarai did.
  • Cookie, despite her bad reputation, and the bad reputation that her new Combagals got because of the Spotter, got an interview at a Combagal magazine to promote her new team.
    • Muko looks very happy to be with Kalita in the magazine cover. She looks like she's having fun rather than satisfying her lust.
    • The people who react to Muko's return are Saniko, Mellow, and Harry. Despite most people being against her, she still has the love and support of her older sister and her two biggest fans.
      • Speaking of Harry, ignoring his unkempt appearance, he appears to have come to terms with his divorce as he cheers for Muko's return while ignoring a divorce paper he had on his lap.
  • While it's mainly a tearjerker, Freydar returning to furry fighting to destroy Cookie is because she doesn't want her former manager to destroy the career of her former Fortune Combagals like hers was. She's not into it for Revenge but for the sake of her former partners turned disciples.

Chapter 30: Facades

  • Despite ending sadly, and knowing that it will get worse, there are a couple of moments in the flashback.
    • Ida being happy to meet Temsia and Copymeleon, recognizing them by name.
    • A younger and happier Freydar telling Ida where to find Cookie before resuming her training with her partners.
  • Even though they destroyed her dreams, Ida used her quills as makeshift sewing needles to become the best tailor in Tendonchi, allowing her to fulfill a new one that makes her happier.
    • Ida's love for her new fashion job. She gets Wingding Eyes when she presents her ideas or when she sees something she thinks matches her clients.
  • Even though Cookie harshly rejected her three years ago, Ida still gives her a tour on her store and shares her ideas with the squirrel and her Combagals.
    • Ida treating Muko and Kalita fairly, wanting to give them the best costumes and liking their fashion choices. She even comes to a disagreement over Cookie trying to make them a Face team because their attires made them look like a Heel team.
  • Muko finding the Cool Mask that will become the main part of her Masked Luchador attire. Ida loves it and Kalita believes that Muko has the potential to be badass because of that costume choice.
    • While it hurts her to do so, Muko ultimately rejecting to don the Cool Mask because she doesn't want to disrespect Adelgund's Heroic Sacrifice she made back in Chapter 17. It shows Muko still cares about the former Masato champion.
  • Muko having fun at the gravure shots while Kalita grudgingly does it with barely a complaint.
    • Muko trying to show constraint during the gravure by trying to respect Kalita's boundaries and trying to make good photos. From her twitching face, it's taking her lots of effort.
  • Ida calling out Cookie for trying to make a Face team out of egotism, clearly disapproving of Cookie putting her feelings in front of those of her Combagals.
    • After the disagreement, Ida decides to help Cookie by showing a video recap of the previous Tendonchi Challenges.

Chapter 31: Challenges

  • The recap show as a whole. The Tendonchi Masters do a recap show a few weeks before the next Tendonchi Challenge so that the audience can see what happened in the previous challenges six months ago.
    • Brida playfully shushing Stonk before he has a chance of talking about his challenge to avoid giving spoilers.
  • The challenges as a whole encourage teamwork between pairs of Combagals to help each other succeed so that they can face the Tendonchi Champions together.
  • The crowd being genuinely excited when Freydar appears. It really shows how beloved she is and how much her fans have missed her.
  • The crowd being shocked by the losing conditions of The Bet Freydar proposed. As much as they hate Cookie and are happy to have Freydar back, it is implied that having her and her Combagals exiled from town is a bit much for their taste.
  • Besides being mad at interrupting the show, Golgadoo calls out Freydar for wanting to fight Muko and Kalita, angrily pointing out that she'll go blind because of her Career-Ending Injury and that she should just be a trainer.
    • Stonk looking horrified and concerned when Freydar throws Golgadoo into the crowd despite spending most of the chapter teasing him and arguing with him.
  • How does Shun convince Freydar that she shouldn't fight. He points out that she won't be able to protect her fellow Cyclone Crushers if she gets crippled. Freydar concedes and modifies The Bet so as to keep it standing while avoiding unnecessary risk.
    • Freydar shows her belief in her teammates and students by declaring that she will train two Cyclone Crushers and have them fight in her stead. She's even confident in their victory as she declares Cookie's defeat.
  • Ida shows concern for Cookie by being as shocked by Freydar's declaration of war as most of the girls despite seeing the video before and then asking for Cookie's opinion to see how she's doing.
    • Ida trying to help Cookie decide on whether to take The Bet or settle with the Tendonchi Challenges is a nice gesture considering how important the decision is.
  • Cookie finally decides to take her Character Development by facing Bolouma and Skully through the Tendonchi Challenges rather than rely on a shortcut that may hurt her Combagals by exploiting The Bet Freydar threw at her.
  • Cookie ending the chapter by taking Muko and Kalita outside to meet their trainer. She also plans on telling them an inspiring story about idol Combagals.
    • The implication that Snuggly has an inspiring side despite her loss against Tanka Talon and her questionable advertising shows that there is more to the poodle than meets the eye.
  • Muko, still dressed in a bikini, suggests changing is a nice gesture of her part as she shows self-restraint rather than focus on Kalita.

Chapter 32: The Great Daikarin

  • The first page shows a magazine featuring the Doable Dolls. In it, Sleepy is more timid and hugging Snuggly from behind while Snuggly is more supportive.
  • Snuggly and Sleepy finding success as the Doable Dolls in the span of a year thanks to the Training from Hell of Paipu Katto. While he drove them to tears every day, the training paid off as they became the Ankyono Champions, even shedding Tears of Joy after one of their biggest triumphs of their career.
    • Paipu may have been watching in the shadows, but Cookie describes him as having a heart filled with pride when watching his students succeed.
  • When Snuggly decides to sing for two to make up for Sleepy's absence, Paipu expresses proud at his student for showing courage despite the odds.
  • While it ends up backfiring, Paipu helps Snuggly by crossdressing and singing with her.
    • For extra points, he's using Sleepy's dress so it's like she's singing with the two of them in spirit.
  • Paipu crushing Snuggly's microphone after her tirade swearing at him and the audience. He doesn't do it because he's angry at her for disrespecting her, but because she let the microphone on and wants to prevent her from destroying her reputation. While the damage is done, at least he tried.
  • Despite the fiasco, Snuggly and Paipu made the most out of that night and are happier because of it.
    • Snuggly reinvented her image to be Hotter and Sexier rather than be a good girl. She feels more at ease and she gets more popularity by being herself.
    • Paipu was fired by Gorsha for getting Snuggly on last place and ruining her image with his crossdressing idea. However, singing on stage reignited a dream in him that he decided to pursue, leading to his transition into Daikarin.
  • The Book Ends of the chapter. Paipu Katto was a trainer, but he was often stuck in the shadows and hated for standing in the limelight. As Daikarin, she's a lead singer at a bar and beloved by the patrons.
    • Cookie being accepting of Daikarin as a Transgender person. She only uses male pronouns exclusively when talking about her past identity as Paipu Katto-and only for the sake of storytelling-before reverting to female pronouns in the present tense when talking about Daikarin.
    • Cookie's respect for Daikarin is so great that she wants her to be Muko and Kalita's teacher.

Chapter 33: The Smell Of Popcorn

  • The cover page shows Nyarai enjoying herself with Jowdie by her side. It shows that, despite being antagonists to Muko, the Cyclone Crushers are still capable of friendship.
    • Nyarai's pose compared to the one in Chapter 6. When she debuted, she was alone and exerting dominance to the viewer, here she looks like she's having fun with her friend, looking more playful and relaxed.
    • Nyarai having A Day in the Limelight chapter shows that, even if she's now enemies with the other three, she's still one of the protagonists of the comic.
  • When Mellow is about to sell his Combagal merchandise, the buyer actually asks him by name if he's okay with it. The exchange shows that Mellow is friends with the salesman and that the salesman knows that, despite the monetary benefits for both of them, this hurts Mellow, showing more concern for his friend than his business.
  • Shun Gonfano lets Mellow meet Nyarai. Despite Mellow not being rich compared to his usual patrons given his attire and behavior, Shun still treats him like a decent customer because he paid the bare minimum to earn the privilege of meeting Nyarai.
  • Even though she suspects Mellow of being a spy and is a Bad Liar when he's giving his story, Nyarai gives a couple of cute smiles when he compliments her on her victory against Adelgund. While she knows Mellow is lying, Nyarai is kind of touched that somebody complemented her after weeks of no fan activity and no source of amusement.
    • Mellow being in tears when saying that he's over Muko because of the Spotter article. Regardless of how much he believes the Spotter, it's clear Mellow cares about Muko as he was surprised when he saw her and Kalita as a tag team.
  • Jowdie shows that she's a Cool Big Sis and a Morality Pet to Nyarai by joining into the conversation with Mellow because she saw Nyarai bullying him and didn't want him to end with a foot on his face like Nyarai's previous customers.
    • As she joins in, Jowdie is advising Nyarai to be nicer to improve her hostess skills while serving wine to Mellow.
    • Jowdie revealing that she bought Nyarai's Gem-Encrusted phone and gave it to her as a gift.
  • Mellow being horrified after seeing the third Spotter article defaming Muko and Kalita. Even when Nyarai is getting on his face, it's clear that he's still worried about Muko.
  • Granted, it came at Mellow's expense, but it is implied that Jowdie's cat paw pad popcorn smell dare was a way to get Nyarai to bully Mellow without seriously hurting him. Nyarai is at first confused when Jowdie mentions cat paw pads and then talks about her own, but she immediately gets excited when she understands her friend's plan as she points at her feet and orders Mellow in a more dignified manner.
    • Nyarai and Jowdie enjoying themselves when Mellow kneels, begs, smells Nyarai's feet, and answers that they do smell like popcorn. Both Cyclone Crushers beam when he kneels, smile deviously at him when he begs, and laugh happily when he answers.
  • Nyarai giving Mellow a genuine smile and calling him by name.
    • A first one for Nyarai, but it is implied that Mellow is the first client who ever made her enjoy herself rather than go to her because of her body.
    • Mellow gaining enough confidence that he decides to take Nyarai on a date and win her heart. While his motives are unclear, it's clear that her smile and kind words gave him the extra motivation.

Chapter 34: Star

  • The beginning of the Roda Kira Gang as the first part of the episode focuses on the good times Kalita shared with Debbie and Leyline when they started their gang.
    • Debbie and Leyline inviting Kalita to their gang after their fight, recognizing and respecting her as an equal despite having the idea of starting the gang first.
      • In a retroactive way, Kalita never bothering to replace Debbie as the leader of the Roda Kira Gang despite being stronger than her. It shows her loyalty and gratitude for giving her a purpose in life.
    • Kalita creating the Roda Kira name, being very excited as she explains the Bilingual Bonus of each word and kanji.
      • Debbie and Leyline complimenting Kalita by saying she looks cute with glasses.
    • The oath Debbie made, swearing that the Roda Kira Gang won't be a cog in the machine. Kalita laughs, but sheds Tender Tears at finding True Companions and a purpose in life.
  • When editing the video, it is revealed that the raccoon never betrayed Kalita, speaking out about how she defended them from the Roda Kira Gang.
    • Some homeless people actually agree with the statement, demonstrating their support for the vixen.
  • Despite his actions, Mr. Dings has some likable attributes.
    • It is implied that he hates doing his job and is only doing the smearing campaign against Muko, Cookie, and Kalita because of Undying Loyalty to Shun and not out of malice.
    • He's the owner of the turtle that appears on Miho's videos, and even named it after a journalism prize.
    • Despite the Spotter being a tabloid platform, Mr. Dings has a genuine passion for journalism and he suddenly starts editing one of the articles because he wants to tell the truth for once.
  • Harry, Muko's first fan reappears, and it is revealed that he's been trying to clear Muko's name since it was soiled by Miho's videos. While his efforts were in vain and it lead to him taking drastic measures, it's sweet of him to defend Muko like that.

Chapter 35: Killer

  • Snuggly and Sleepy end their fight by hugging each other and apologizing for the break up of the Doable Dolls, restoring their friendship.
    • Them choosing The Redoable Dolls as their new name shows that they acknowledge that their separation, while deeply painful, made them stronger as individuals and therefore friends once they returned.
  • Despite being forced to make a Faceā€“Heel Turn to continue furry fighting, Muko and Kalita are clearly satisfied with their new roles as Heel Combagals.
    • Muko has surpassed her Weaksauce Weakness when she's able to pull her Groper Muko persona without flaws, can work together with Kalita without hindering her, is able to help Cookie recover from her fall as a manager, and she's having fun despite the hatred of the fans. All of the struggles that Muko had as a Combagal during the first three parts are starting to disappear now that Muko knows what kind of Combagal she wants to be.
    • Kalita still defends bikers despite becoming a furry fighter, and swears to upholds the original values of the Roda Kira Gang even if she's no longer a member. She proves her point by working together with Muko, defeating Snuggly and Sleepy by simultaneously pinning them, and letting Muko hug her without protest.
  • During the fight against Team Star Killer, Snuggly and Sleepy show that their reconciliation is genuine when they show genuine concern for each other when Muko and Kalita attack them.
  • Daikarin carrying Cookie on her shoulder to make her entrance, showing the genuine friendship between the two.
    • While it's sad because she works for the team who humiliated them, Snuggly and Sleepy recognize Daikarin as their former teacher Paipu. They are surprisingly more upset at her working with Cookie and don't make a comment about her gender despite Snuggly ranting at her for crossdressing back when she was Paipu.

     Part 4: Devastator

Chapter 36: A Place Of Your Own

  • The flashback scene with Kalita's pig girl friend wishing her happiness after being adopted. After seeing how lonely she was and how Debbie and Leyline were her only friends in her backstory, it's nice to know that Kalita made a friend who cared about her happiness and wished her a better life.
  • Despite Kalita being annoyed at driving the group to Fortune Factory, their happy and relaxed body language shows that they're comfortable with each other now.
  • Daikarin telling Cookie that she made the right choice in Trilamity Day by having her Fortune Gals fight. She praises Cookie for giving hope and entertainment to the public in a dark day. Ida also joins in, pointing out that, despite their differences, she always admired Cookie for her professionalism. Cookie is so moved by the kind words that she cries a river of tears out of gratitude and relief.
    • Daikarin petting Cookie's head while she cries and Muko cheering them on. The narration calls them Cookie's Fan Club, pointing out how Cookie finally found people who love her after two years of being ostracized by the furry fighting community.
  • Ida helps Cookie with getting permission to get the ring in Monyan by convincing Zebreastian at the lobby room.
    • The Stinger after the final page of the chapter shows that Ida gave Zebreastian a dress for his girlfriend, who is very happy to put it on.

Chapter 37: High Bump!

  • Cookie showing pride in Muko and Kalita once Daikarin starts training them.
  • During her talk with Ida, Cookie makes sure to correct her when she uses male pronouns to talk about Daikarin.
  • A minor one for Ida, as her bad use of pronouns is more out of being inexperienced talking with transgendered people rather than out of bigotry. She actually considers Daikarin attractive and doesn't discriminate against her for her fashion choice, which is a contrast to how Daikarin was repudiated as Paipu for putting on a dress years ago.
  • Daikarin reveals that she's happy with her life as a singer, but she's willing to do One Last Job as a trainer to redeem herself for failing Snuggly and Sleepy at the Epic Pop Dance Off.
  • Offscreen, Cookie managed to create a plan that will keep everyone happy if things go her way.
    • She got Snuggly and Sleepy to reconcile and will have them become the next Tendonchi Champions by letting them beat Muko and Kalita after they take the belt.
    • Daikarin confirms that she still cares about her students and never betrayed them. She came out of retirement to help them make a comeback.
    • Team Star Killer gets decent furry fighting training from Daikarin, which they will use to become the Tendonchi Champions. Then they will pay her back by letting the Redoable Dolls beat them to take the belt. It's a sweet gesture considering how hard they're working just to get one belt.
  • Daikarin shows that, even if she still gives tough training regimes, she's a lot less strict and more carefree than she was as Paipu. She smiles more often, is reassuring, and knows how to encourage.
  • The body slam scene shows some cute moments.
    • Daikarin teaches Muko how to defend against a body slam. It's a good lesson considering how much damage Muko has been accumulating across the comic.
    • Daikarin, Ida, and Cookie being genuinely awed when Kalita does the body slam, recognizing her potential.
    • Muko laughs after getting body slammed, succeeding in her lesson before passing out from exhaustion. Cookie and Daikarin look proud of her.
  • Kalita walks with Fidah, one of the younger orphans of Yoko Orphanage, back home from school. Her Cool Big Sis side shows as she listens to Fidah talking about her love of planes and her dream of being a pilot.
