Zipang

Sakamoto Ryouma

• Alternate Self: Her sailor shirt wearing form is actually a visitor from another dimension. And just like the original Ryouma, she quickly becomes friends with everyone thanks to her outgoing personality, and co-exists with Ryouma Prime as a trusted ally of Zipang.
• Beneath the Mask: Although she acts like a typical Gyaru Girl who's only interested in superficial things like cosmetics and such, Ryouma is actually well-versed in the craft of entreprenurship, always thinking ahead and looking out for business opportunities. Anyone who takes her shallow airhead persona at its face value are bound to have the rug pulled out from underneath them.
• Fatal Fireworks: Her Hero Skill has her bombarding her enemies with barrages of fireworks.
• Friend in the Black Market: Acts as this to various people of influence, smuggling goods in and out of Zipang during the nation's closed borders era.
• Good Capitalism, Evil Capitalism: Fits on both sides. Ryouma is a very shrewd businesswoman who aims to make a name for herself via entrepreneurship. While she is very profit-driven and wouldn't hesitate resorting to War for Fun and Profit, she does have a degree of moral standard to keep her from stooping too low.
• Gyaru Girl: Of the Kogal variant. Her outfit (minus the more traditional Haori) is obviously styled after private school uniforms from real life Japan, while she also sports perm hair and various fashionable accessories.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Auburn hair, pale green eyes and she's the game's signature character.
• Sword and Gun: She wields both a katana and a pistol.

Sakanoue no Tamuramaro

• Cleavage Window: Both her regular costume and bunnygirl costume have an opening for her cleavage.
• Ditzy Genius: Despite her extraordinary talents, Tamuramaro seems to lack basic knowledge when it comes to everyday life, including the concept of sleep (which she considers to be the same as "passing out due to exhaustion"). Her tendency to take things more seriously than necessary also contributes to this.
• Facial Markings: She has four red dots on her forehead.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: She has an oni head on the left side of her armor, but not in the right side.
• Hyper-Competent Sidekick: Tamuramaro in a nutshell. She's capable of, and often does accomplish five times as much as any ordinary retainer. Given Takeru's laissez-faire attitude when it came to her duties, Tamuramaro naturally had to shoulder a lot of burden for the less-than-diligent former King of Zipang.
• Katanas Are Just Better: She wields a wakizashi whose length is comparable to that of Kojiro Sasaki.
• Undying Loyalty: She's extremely loyal to her liege, and would go to any length to complete tasks entrusted to her, no matter how unreasonable the request.

En no Goyja

• Ascended Extra: Previously an NPC in GOLD who can be fought in an optional encounter.
• Full-Frontal Assault: The two Onis which flank her stay completely nude even after having transformed into their full-sized humanoid forms, but with their dignity being preserved thanks to Barbie Doll Anatomy.
• Magical Girl: Wields a PrettyCure styled wand as her weapon and flanked by two familiars who'd fit right in a Magical Girl show.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: Her two familiars, Zenki and Goki embody this trope, with the red Zenki being an axe-wielding berserker capable of dealing devastating blows to the enemy, while the blue Goki serves as the White Mage who heals and buffs her summoner and allies.
• Sizeshifter: Her familiars will grow into full-sized Onis once she charges them up in battle.
• Stripperific: Her breasts are barely concealed by the two loose strips hanging over them.

Otohime

• The Cutie: An innocent princess who resides at the dragon palace under the ocean.
• Fish out of Water: Inverted. Due to her curse, she cannot set foot onto dry land, therefore is forced to live underwater for most of her life. Thankfully nullified later on due to Chihaya's efforts.
• Loyal Animal Companion: Despite being human, the marine denizens of the palace recognize her as their princess, asking her to rule over them.
• Ma'am Shock: She's Yoshitsune's niece, a fact that the latter isn't too pleased to be reminded of.

Kato Kiyomasa

• Animal Motifs: Tigers, and she really likes them.
• Cleavage Window: Her outfit has an opening in her armor for her ample cleavage.
• Girl Friday: She's a loyal vassal of Takeru, left in charge of watching over the Seal of Yamata-no-Orochi while Takeru is (slacking) away.
• Katanas Are Just Better: She wields a katana with a tiger-themed handle.
• Navel Window: Her bunny girl outfit has an opening for her navel.

Takizawa Bakin

• Accent Slip-Up: She will occasionally slip into her native Edo accent when she gets overexcited.
• Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her sleeves are shaped like book pages and her twin-tails end in red tips that are reminiscent of paint brushes, all of which remind us she's a writer.
• Energetic and Soft-Spoken Duo: Soft-spoken in contrast to Nostradamus, her easily-excited friend.
• Girlish Pigtails: She has some impressive braided twin-tails, ending in red tips which make them reminiscent of paint brushes.
• Hurricane of Euphemisms: Due to the nature of her work, she's very good at coming up with innuendos and double entendres, and will often converse with Nostradamus exclusively using Sexual Euphemism.
• Married to the Job: Due to the wild popularity of her books, her publishers are sending people to literally camp out at her house so they can start printing faster. This forces Bakin to keep a strict schedule and structure her daily life around writing in order to meet her deadlines. Fortunately, since joining the Zipangese army, she is able to scale back on her writing career in favor of her military duties.
• Narrating the Present: She habitually narrates her own actions much like the Misaka Sisters.
• Yaoi Fangirl: She's a bestseller author who specializes in Yaoi novels. Unsurprisingly, she's also a good friend with Nostradamus, the other Yaoi creator in Chihaya's army.

Dokyo

• Dimensional Traveler: She is a master of sorcery, and was able to travel into Chihaya's dimension using a combination of her own powers and a possessed ring given to her by a demon.
• The Exile: She was exiled from the Zipang of another dimension by its empress due to a political dispute.
• Magic Staff: She carries a golden priestly staff similar to that of Sanzou.
• Stripperiffic: Wearing nothing apart from loose sleeves and thin strips of cloth which leave very little to imagination.
• Verbal Tic: She has a habit of adding "That is the way!" (条理！) to her sentences.

Unkei & Kakei

• Identity Breakdown: They constantly fight over who's the sculptor and who's the sculpture.
• Meaningful Appearance: The Back-to-Back Badasses poses they're standing in are the Niō poses, commonly adapted by statues of the two wrathful and muscular guardians of the Buddha. This is obviously a deliberate homage to the Agyō (one half of the Niōs), one of the most famous works done by their real life inspirations.
• Red Oni, Blue Oni: They represent the concept, with Unkei as the red and Kakei as the blue.
• True Craftsman: They hold their skills in very high regard and will go to any length to craft the best piece possible when it comes to their work. In fact, they are so dedicated to their craft that they can literally make their work come to life.
• Vitriolic Best Buds: Constantly arguing with each other over who's the real sculptor, while insisting that the other is their creation. Nevertheless, they share a close bond due to this connection and fights very effectively as a single unit.
  Unkei: (upon taking damage) Mannequin! Are you alright?
• Weapons of Their Trade: They wield their giant craftsman hammers in battle.

East Asia

Taika Empire

Bai Qi

• The Baby of the Bunch: Inverted. She perceives herself to be the elder to everyone else, and insists on pampering them with headpats.
• Deadly Disc: She throws chakram-like discs at her target as her main attack.
• Older Than They Look: Implied. She's a seasoned general of the Taika and has participated in various wars, which partially justifies her habit of always acting as the senior to people around her.
• Old Retainer: Having served the Taika for a long time and is fiercely loyal to the empire. Qin Shi Huang had to forcibly retire her due to her working herself to the bones.
• Phallic Weapon: Her combat sprite and Hero Skill animation shows her firing... a stream of yellow beam out of her crotch...^explainationThis is very likely a spoof based on the infamous Chinese-built Xianxingzhe robot, a bipedal humanoid robot that for some reason, sports protruding joints near its crotch which resemble a crotch-mounted cannon.
• Pretty in Mink: She wears a nice white furry coat over her swimsuit.
• Walking Swimsuit Scene: Underneath her coat she wears a white swimsuit.

Dao Zhi

• Batter Up!: She uses a nailed baseball bat as her primary weapon.
• Handwraps of Awesome: Her hands have bandages, which goes well with her lovable rogue image.
• Lovable Rogue: Cherry and upbeat despite being a notorious scoundrel. She also robs to give to the poor.
• Sarashi: She wears bandages to cover her breasts.
• Tomboyish Ponytail: She wears a short side ponytail and she's not particularly feminine.
• Walking Shirtless Scene: She only covers her otherwise exposed chest with bandages.

Pao Ding

• Anime Chinese Girl: The most clear cut case among the Taika heroes, wearing a qipao, having her hair arranged in odangos and making a martial art pose.
• Chef of Iron: She's a chef who wields a giant cleaver and a huge frying pan into battle.
• Handwraps of Awesome: She wears handwraps, fitting for a martial artist.
• Machete Mayhem: She wields a massive meat cleaver.
• Only Known by Their Nickname: Pao Ding is a moniker meaning "kitchen hand" rather than a real name.
• Oral Fixation: She has a thin pipe on her mouth.
• Supreme Chef: As expected, she's adept with all matters culinary and can produce gourmet dishes out of nearly any ingredients, be their nature mundane or fantastical.

Hephthalites

Mihirakula

"As long as injustice and degeneracy rots this world, I will appear again!"

• Ascended Extra: Originally she was an NPC unit fought during the conquest of Mongolia.
• Does This Remind You of Anything?: The melting wax dripping down her face and chest can easily be misinterpreted as, ahem, a certain other white bodily fluid...^note This is most likely a deliberate choice on the developer's part, given the game's eroge roots.
• Elemental Personalities: Speaks in a very passionate, fiery tone, just like her appearance would suggest.
• Fiery Redhead: Besides her fire powers, she's incredibly passionate and intense about her sense of justice, with her reddish-pink hair representing that.
• Knight Templar: She holds a firm sense of justice and has set out on a path to vanquish all evils in the world. Unfortunately, her rigid way of thinking makes her easily manipulated by Taishang Laojun, who sets her against the Zipangnese army by misconstruing them as evildoers.
• Playing with Fire: Her primary attack method.
• Sesquipedalian Loquaciousness: She uses a lot of idioms in her sentences, often causing unnecessary misunderstandings with her allies.
• Wreathed in Flames: She can envelope herself in flames with a combination of fire magic and magic wax, basically turning herself into a human candle.

Liu Bang

• Cleavage Window: Her dress has an opening for her cleavage.
• Girlish Pigtails: She has some long pigtails.
• High-Class Fan: She carries one to show her ambition.
• Magnetic Hero: Her charisma and ability to empathize with the downtrodden draws many talented individuals to her cause.
• The Usurper: Her grand ambition is to take over Taika to make a name for herself. This leads to her clashing swords with the Zipangese heroines.

India

Ajatashatru

• Elemental Motifs: Fire. Her clothes, her axe and her crown are all themed after fire.
• Elemental Personalities: Like her fire motif suggests, she's very rowdy and belligerent, and has an explosive temper. Being a delinquent only adds to this.
• Femme Fatalons: Her fingernails are quite sharp.
• Fiery Redhead: In contrast to Ashoka, who has managed to keep her temper in check, Ajatashatru is just as fiery and short-tempered as her intense locks and flame designs.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She has green eyes, even the eyes of her headpiece are green and she's one of the rulers of India.
• Sir Swears-a-Lot: As befitting of her thuggish standing, she's very foul-mouthed and throws out profanities left-and-right when conversing with others.
• Stripperiffic: She wears about as much as Ashoka.
• Weapon-Based Characterization: She wields a fire-themed axe, which fits her short temper and delinquent tendencies.

Bodhidharma Daishi

• Bare-Fisted Monk: An accomplished martial artist. Bonus point for being an actual Buddhist monk.
• Former Teen Rebel: She used to be a notorious delinquent back when she was younger, but reformed after embracing Dharma.
• I Hate Past Me: She was a rather notorious hooligan back in her days, and have since then reformed herself by becoming a monk, living in serenity. Unfortunately, she was also Ashoka's predecessor, and her legend inspired an entire generation of Indian youth to follow suit in becoming delinquents, including the likes of Ajatashatru and Ashoka. She still gets flustered and ashamed whenever this gets dug up in front of her.
• Levitating Lotus Position: Her combat sprites show her floating off the ground while doing the lotus stance. Although according to Word of God, she's not actually levitating, but rather propping herself up with the staff that she's holding between her inner thigh and the back of her knee.
• Stripperiffic: She barely wears more clothes than Ashoka.
• Unusual Eyebrows: She has four dots and thin curved lines for eyebrows.

Mongolia

Pian del Carpine

"Bring me more kumis! *hic* "

• Cleavage Window: She has a wide opening for her cleavage, which goes well with her hard-drinking seductress image.
• Hard-Drinking Party Girl: Almost never seen without a glass of kumis in one hand and an entire jar of it in the other. Naturally, she spends most of her time drunk on her feet and constantly hiccuping in-between her sentences. However, her final event reveals it to be all a ruse, and she's only doing it to make others drop their guard.^{fridge brilliance}Kumis are made mostly out of milk and usually contains only 2 percent alcohol, which explains how she seems to Never Gets Drunk despite drinking so much.
• Heroic Seductress: She's not above using her looks to charm information out of her leads. This backfires on her in one of her character events, where she goes too far in charming the local (female) gang leader, who becomes enraged after she rejects her advances and tries to kill her. Luckily Chihaya is around to bail her out.
• Manipulative Bastard: She is a spy, so it comes with the territory.

East Marauders

A group of pirates comprised of members from all over the world that operates in Southeast Asia. They seem to have popped out of nowhere and is actively aggressive towards the EU presence in the region. Furthermore, their equipment and manpower far exceeds those of an ordinary pirate group, indicating the possibility of an Anonymous Benefactor behind the scenes.

• Infinite Supplies: Despite their humble background, they are able to garner an impressive array of weapons and troops to put even a superpower like the EU at a pinch, and never seems to run of resources. It turns out they are being funded by the obscenely rich Hippolyta, who is using them to fulfill her own ends.
• Multi National Team: The group is made up of people from various countries, Nagamasa, Takeyoshi and Hisatada are from Zipang, Bellamy is from Britannia, Le Loi is Vietnamese, Kanom Tom is Thai, and Wang Zhi and Jianzhen are from Taika.

Captain Samuel Bellamy

"Here comes the face of the Marauders!"

• A Father to His Men: She traded in her marksmanship with a devil in exchange of getting her crew out of mortal danger, and is generally always on the lookout for her men. This is the main reason why many chose to follow her.
• The Captain: Leader of the East Marauders. Despite not originally from the region, she is highly respected by her crew due to reason mentioned above.
• Cleavage Window: Her dress has an opening for her rather pronounced cleavage.
• Difficult, but Awesome: Both of her Gun skills don't start off with the most impressive damage potential, have an awkward area of effect, and will deal friendly fire to any allied units caught in the blast radius. However, if you utilize Bellamy's self-buff skills to stack multiple damage boosts on her, they will eventually reach the point of being able to cripple most enemies with a single hit.
• Improbable Aiming Skills: Used to be a top class gunslinger who never missed a single shot. Unfortunately, thanks to a curse, her marksmanship has done a complete 180, making her shots always land astray from their target.
• Non-Indicative Name: Her nickname "Black Sam" was a descriptive moniker about the historical Samuel Bellamy having long, black hair. However, this version of her has blonde hair instead, rendering the nickname somewhat odd.
• Sword and Gun: With the exception she wields an axe instead of a sword, she fits.

Yamada Nagamasa

• Braids of Action: She has her hair in four long braids that are tied in a ribbon-like shape.
• Embarrassing but Empowering Outfit: She acts as the East Marauders' showgirl for their respective Arena event, and is made to don the mandatory bunnygirl outfit for the role. The suit is specially designed to enhance her strength, giving her immense combat prowess. The only problem is, it is about five sizes too big for her in the chest department (being originally designed for the much more well-endowed Bellamy), putting Nagamasa in constant fluster over her clothes coming loose and rendering her topless.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: Only her left arm is covered.
• Idiot Hair: While she's not dumb, she has a cowlick, which is clearly seen in her bunny girl look.
• Immigrant Patriotism: She has fully integrated herself into Ayutthaya and considers the town to be her second home. The fact that its native denizens recognizes her as one of their own, and even grants her a formal title also doesn't hurt.
• Tan Lines: Her bunny girl outfit shows that like Takeyoshi she's pretty tanned.

Murakami Takeyoshi

• Boobs-and-Butt Pose: Her standing pose is quite provocative, putting her assets on full display.
• Curtains Match the Window: She has blue hair and blue eyes, which goes well with her surfer motif.
• Tan Lines: Her damaged sprite shows she's pretty tanned.
• Third-Person Person: Refers to herself by her last name.
• Walking Swimsuit Scene: Dresses in a surfing swimsuit.

Le Loi

• Edible Theme Clothing: Her outfit is fashioned after various ingredients commonly used in Vietnamese Pho. She even has two boiled prawns stuffed in front of her nipples.
• Heal It with Water: One of her abilities.
• Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: She's armed with two tortoise shell-shaped shields which can block incoming attacks. Fittingly, she is also a Healing Tank typed unit in-game, capable of protecting allies while recovering their health at the same time.
• Raven Hair, Ivory Skin: She has long black hair arranged in a side ponytail, and as her micro-bikini shows, snow white skin.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears a micro bikini made of prawns and leaves as clothing.

Nai Kanom Tom

• Ass Kicking Pose: She's standing in the typical Muay Thai stance with her right knee raised in the air.
• Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: Her hair is shaped like a bolt of lightning to correspond with her electric power.
• Boxing Battler: She's based on one of the most famous boxers in Thai history, and she lives up to her name.
• Girlish Pigtails: Besides her pointy hair, she also has pigtails.
• Shock and Awe: She fights with electrified gauntlets.

Wang Zhi

• Abnormal Ammo: Her Hero Skill animation shows her firing giant abacus beads at her enemy.
• High-Class Glass: She wears a monocle over her right eye.
• Justified Criminal: She's an honest merchant driven to piracy by corrupt bureaucrats.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears sleeves, a top that barely covers her breasts, and a loincloth.

Aizu Hisatada

• Animal Motifs: The monkey. She wears a furcoat with a monkey tail and is nicknamed "Saru-no-Gozen" (Lady Monkey) by admirers for her monkey-like agility.
• Antiquated Linguistics: She speaks like an 80-year-old woman despite looking very young.
• Devilish Hair Horns: She has two prominent horn-like spikes on her hair, which are even more noticeable in her school uniform look.
• Flash Step: She's an extremely agile swordswoman, capable of leaping over long distances in an instant to close gaps between her and her opponent.
• Katanas Are Just Better: She wields a katana as a master swordswoman from Zipang.
• Worthy Opponent: Travels the world looking for her ideal opponent. This is her main reason for joining the Marauders. She finally finds one in Chihaya, but not in the typical sense.

Jianzhen

"I can see it... It's your future!"

• Facial Markings: She has two dots right below her eyes.
• Fantastically Indifferent: She completely rejects the idea that her continuous misfortunes may be caused the blatantly malevolent spirits which surround her, instead regarding them as "exalted beings" that are putting her through a test of faith.
• I Reject Your Reality: Whenever her "predictions" are proven wrong, she'll insist that she Knew It All Along and refuses to admit fault.
• Prophet Eyes: Somewhat ambiguous. Her real life counterpart went blind after his 5th disastrous voyage to Japan, and her sprite does imply that she's visually impaired, although it's never been directly confirmed or denied in-game. However, the "Prophet" part is most likely a hoax on her part, given that...
  • Theory Tunnel Vision: While she often claims to see the future, it is blatantly obvious that she's either taking credit after the fact, or simply spouting complete rubbish.
• Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: With the rest of the Marauders. She was originally their prisoner, and offered to work for them to earn money so she can travel to Zipang.
  • Forced into Evil: Claims to be this due to circumstances mentioned above. Judging by her usual behavior however, it's more likely that she's just being opportunistic by proposing to work with the pirates.

The EU

The South Seas

Vasco da Gama

• Damsel in Distress: She's captured by the Marauders at the start of the South Seas campaign, and has to be rescued by the Zipangnese army.
• Does This Remind You of Anything?: She's obsessed about spices to the point of addiction, and has taken to mixing various spices to bask in their aromas. Chihaya even remarks on how this could take a dangerous turn for her.
• Girlish Pigtails: She has some impressive and long twin tails.
• G-Rated Drug: She clearly loves the scent of spices.
• Navel-Deep Neckline: Her suit is open all the way past her navel.

Europe

Gustav Adolf

• Blind Mistake: Her eyesights are hilariously bad, which can often lead to these.
• Cool Crown: A great crown that represents her as the Queen of Sweden.
• Royal Rapier: Wields a rapier and she's fittingly a royalty.
• Scarf of Asskicking: She wears a long red scarf, and she's a pretty efficient ruler and warrior.

Hans Axel von Fersen

• Determinator: She remained resolute despite her world facing imminent doom, all to fulfill her promise to her childhood friend ^spoilerThe Marie of her own dimension.
• Flower Motifs: The baby rose, which symbolises withering (as she comes from an alternate France where most of her close friends and comrades had perished in war).
  • Petal Power: Her attacks also induce flurries of rose petals to further reinforce the motif.
• Gratuitous French: She uses "Mademoiselle" to address her compatriots ("Darling" for Chihaya).
• Officer and a Gentleman: She's a refined noblewoman who was also in charge of (alternate) France's military.
• Royal Rapier: She has a rapier within her bouquet.

Isaac Newton

• Babies Ever After: Proposes this to Chihaya in her later events, wishing for her work to be passed down to her child so that they may one day unravel the mystery behind the enigmatic Death/R1NG0-Star.
• Gravity Master: How she fights. Courtesy of her Death/R1NG0-Star.
• Introverted Cat Person: An ordinarily quiet and docile soul, it's revealed in her character event that she's taken a liking to stray cats, to the point of spending most of her research budget on feeding and sheltering them, turning her lab into a cat haven that hosts up to 30 cats.
• Mark of the Supernatural: One of her eyes is red and the other is green.
• Mythology Gag: Her work on natural sciences is being impeded by the "Death/R1NG0-Star", an enigmatic floating sphere which appeared in front her one day, shattering her understanding of physics.

Char & Les Darwin

"Are you a sub... Or a dom?"

• Big Little Sister: Despite being noticeably taller and more mature-looking, Char considers the diminutive Les as the older sister of the pair.
• Bust-Contrast Duo: Les is flat, dominative and overbearing, while Char is buxom, timid and submissive.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: True to their duality motif, Char wears a stocking on her left leg while Les wears it on her right leg.
• Literal Split Personality / Polar Opposite Twins: Split into two individuals due to what could have been either magical shenanigans or evolutionary mishaps, with the dominative, overbearing one calling herself Les, while the timid, submissive half naming herself Char. The two consider each other sisters and act as one on the battlefield.
• Twin Threesome Fantasy: Unsurprisingly, their H-Scene is a threesome with Chihaya.

Carl Friedrich Gauss

• Cleavage Window: The top half of her breasts are completed exposed thanks to the wide opening in her armor.
• Distinguishing Mark: She has a small mole below her left eye and another on one of her breasts.
• Exotic Eye Designs: Her pupils are cross-shaped.
• High-Class Glass: She wears a monocle over her right eye.
• Magnetism Manipulation: Her Magnetic Armor gives her control over magnetism and electricity, making for excellent weaponry.
• Mood-Swinger: She's hyped and intense when her armor is fully-charged, while turning timid and deflated once it runs out of power.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau

"Now, it is time to free the soul... Libération!"

• Bunny-Ears Lawyer: She's a very talented writer despite her perverse leanings.
• Insane Troll Logic: How she tries to justify her needs for indecent exposure.
• One-Steve Limit: Her second name, Jacques, is the same as Jacques de Molay of the Knights Templar. Luckily Rousseau is referred to by her last name, so there's no confusion.
• Pain & Gain: Both of her support skills damage her allies while granting them a massive buff in return (up to and including a 30% increase to all of their stats).

• Depraved Bisexual: Implied. While she's firmly set in her way towards Tutankhamun, she doesn't appear to mind having sex with Chihaya, and even seems somewhat receptive towards the idea.
• He Who Fights Monsters: She is the Egyptian hero entrusted to watch over the seal of Osiris. However, due to a combination of the seal's influence and her own twisted obssession towards Tutankhamun, Imhotep now possesses eldritch powers that rival even the sealed beast she's in charge of, and can unleash them freely in battle.
• Loony Fan: While most of Tutankhamun's vassals are pretty obsessed with her already, Imhotep really takes it up to another level, often indulging in deluded fantasies involving doing various things with "my sweet Khamun", and frequently attempting to carry them out to calamitous results, with Chihaya often being on the receiving end of her ploys.
• Love Potion: Constantly trying brew one to satiate her lust over Tutankhamun. Unfortunately for Chihaya, the essential ingredient for her recipe often ends up having to come from him, leading to disastrously amorous results as Imhotep attempts to extract it from him.
• Mystical White Hair: She's an ancient hero of Egypt and sports rather prominent white hair that contrasts well with her skin tone and outfit.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Apart from her deranged stalker tendencies, she also harbors dark powers which are extremely dangerous if left unchecked (see He Who Fights Monsters above).

Scorpion

• Amazing Technicolor Population: Unlike every other character in the game, she has pale blue skin.
• Beware My Stinger Tail: Not really a tail, but her braid is in the position and ends with a stinger.
• Braids of Action: Besides having six small braids, the longest one also doubles as a scorpion tail, stinger and all.
• Extra Eyes: Like a real scorpion, she has four smaller eyes over her normal ones.
• Master Poisoner / Poisonous Person: Unsurprisingly, all of her attacks are poison-based, and she's one of the few characters who can inflict Toxin on the enemy.
• Odd Name Out: The only Egyptian character who doesn't have an Egyptian name.
• Our Zombies Are Different: Like Hunefer, she was brought back from the dead as some form of undead creature, powered exclusively by her fervor towards worshipping Tutankhamun.
• Scorpion People: Clearly she's one, albeit lacking pincers.

Amerigo Vespucci

• Animal Motifs: Bees. Not only does she dress in yellow and black, she even has Hair Antennae that resembles those of a bee's.
• Dressed Like a Dominatrix: She's essentially a bee-themed dominatrix, whip and all.
• The Fashionista: She's the owner of the Amerigo Brand, a conglomerate dealing in fashion goods, and she personally designs a lot of their merchanises.
• Improbable Hairstyle: She also has a pair of impressive Ojou Ringlets that turn into drills.
• Macross Missile Massacre: Her Hero Skill has her launching a barrage of missiles at her targets.
• Whip of Dominance: She also wields a whip, fitting for her dominatrix image.

Johnny Appleseed

• One-Steve Limit: She has the same name as John Hawkwood, but since they're both referred to by their last names, there's no confusion.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Hair red as an apple and eyes green like leaves.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Take a wild guess. She believes that apples are omnipotent, and has genuinely achieved some improbable feats with the fruit.

Benjamin Franklin

"It's all good!"

• Engrish: As with Perry, her voicelines will often mix in mangled English phrases, although with less swearing than the former.
• Flag Bikini: Her damaged sprite reveals her American flag underwear.
• Science Fantasy: Her character design is noticeably much more sci-fi inspired rather than the Animesque Medieval Fantasy style used for most other characters.
• Shock and Awe: She manipulates electricity as her main offensive ability. Judging by her combat sprite however, she often gets herself caught in the blast as well.

Jesse James

• Ascended Extra: She began as an NPC unit who fights alongside Billy the Kid.
• Eager Rookie: She's somewhat new to the outlaw game and looks up to Billy, whom she sees as a Cool Big Sis and harbors a lot of (some may say misplaced) respect for.
• Hidden Heart of Gold: While she acts like a rowdy outlaw, she is in fact a woman of the people, often giving to the poor by spending her earnings in the slums. It helps that a lot of her earnings come from illegitimate incomes confiscated from corrupt bureaucrats and the like.
• Hot-Blooded: She is every bit as aggressive and straight-forward as Billy when it comes to her work, always choosing to solve problems via direct action.
• Hyper-Competent Sidekick: Unlike the rather dim-witted Billy who just wants to impulsively wreck havoc with her Insane Troll Logic shenanigans, Jesse is a very reliable heroine who knows how to get things done quick and proper. Columbus even secretly remarks that "She'd be a flawless heroine, if not for her blind over-trust of Billy."
• More Dakka: Fires a barrage of bullets at her enemies when in battle.
• Of Corsets Sexy: She wears a pink and black corset with a money symbol on the side.

Leif Eriksson

• Head Pet: She has a blue bird on her head.
• Immigrant Patriotism: She's a viking from Europe who came to the USA and now she fights for the Indies.
• This Is Unforgivable!: Her attitude towards Billy, as a result of the various misdeeds the latter has committed against the indigenous tribes she's friendly with.

• Weapon Specialization: She wields a long spear tipped like a harpoon.

• Beware the Nice Ones: Despite her matronly demeanor, she's perfectly competent at kicking the ass of anyone who dare to cross her.
• Happy Fun Ball: She wields a rather plasticky spiked club which looks more like baby toy than an actual weapon. But if her stats are anything to go by, she can still deal significant damage with it despite its unassuming appearance.
• Idiot Hair: She has a prominent cowlick that curves backwards.
• Momma's Boy: Constantly tries to inflict this on Chihaya (and other characters, to a much lesser extent).
• Redhead In Green: Her outfit is mostly green and she has orange hair.

Cuauhtemóc

• Ascended Extra: Previously a random NPC unit faced during the Azteca campaign in World Conquest.
• Beautiful All Along: Meta example. Her oversized headgear covers her hair and most of her forehead, making her look rather unappealing buried under all those plumes. However, her H-scene CG reveals her to be quite the looker once the helmet is off.
• Big Little Sister: Cousin example, but she's taller and older looking than Montezuma.
• Big Sister Worship: She greatly admires her cousin Montezuma.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears an elaborate plume, a top and a skirt.
• Weapon Specialization: She wields a spear that's tipped with an obsidian stone.

Conquistadors

Hernan Cortes

• Dreadful Musician: Aspires to be an idol singer. Unfortunately, she doesn't realize that delivering your singing via a loudspeaker at max volume is not the best way to win over fans...
• Loud of War: Unwittingly manipulated into this by her Smug Snake companion, who weaponizes her deafening singing technique for military and personal gains.
• Super Gullible: She's easily tricked into committing atrocities by Pizarro, with the latter using the flimsiest excuse to get her to unleash her voice.

Francisco Pizarro

• All Take and No Give: She's probably one of the most selfish heroines in the game, even more so than Nero. She only cares about personal gains and will not hesitate to manipulate or harm anyone to achieve it.
  • Cast from Hit Points: This carries onto her in-game abilities as well, as her offensive capabilities will remain comically low unless you utilize her skill to buff her stats by sacrificing her teammates.
• BFG: Carries a bazooka-styled missile launcher as her main weapon, which is used to inflict Fatal Fireworks upon her enemies.
• Gold Fever: Much like the real life conquistador. Both of her costumes are adorned with so much gold that some of it have began to practically melt.
• Token Evil Teammate: Her objectivist philosophy places her firmly in this position, and she's often at odds with the rest of the heroines with her MO of being 100% driven by self-interest.

Vinland Pirate Corps

Grace O'Malley

• And Now You Must Marry Me: In her H-scene, Chihaya goes to her room and finds her masturbating to him. When she catches him, Grace demands he marry her to restore her honor.
• Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: The redhead to Kidd's blonde and Drake's brunette (Teach has dark purple hair and Alwilda has pink hair instead).
• Braids of Action: She has two long braids that match Geronimo's in length, and she's a certified Pirate Girl.
• Drives Like Crazy: Her helms skills are disastrous and will often lead to her obliviously crashing the ship. Despite this however, Grace considers her steering to be perfectly fine, and her overconfidence causes no end of trouble to her allies.
• Energetic and Soft-Spoken Duo: She is the assigned deputy to William Kidd, acting as the upbeat and go-getter first mate to the timid and easily-frightened pirate corps captain. Unfortunately, Grace's recklessness and Suicidal Overconfidence will often land both of them in hot water.
• Ojou Ringlets: She has a pair on the sides of her hair, which represents her status as a former noblewoman.
• Pint-Sized Powerhouse: She carries a giant cannon that is easily twice her size into battle, and is able to hold it up with nothing but her own two arms and uses it like a gun.
• Rebellious Princess: Daughter of a Britannian noble, she ran away from home to become a pirate in order to forge her own path.
• Redhead In Green: Intense red hair and her outfit is green.
• Spoiled Brat: Has shades of this due to her lofty upbringing. Although at times it's more of a Innocently Insensitive.
• Vapor Wear: The plunging neckline on her outfit shows she's not wearing a bra.

Sir Dinadan

• Automatic Crossbows: She wields a repeating magical crossbow as her weapon of choice.
• Big Beautiful Woman: She's rather chubby, but still quite cute.
• Big Eater: She's quite the glutton and can't resist food if there's any around her, making her an easy friend with Lancelot.
• Girlish Pigtails: She has her hair in two pigtails and she's not exactly the most mature.
• Half-Witted Hillbilly: She can sometimes act like a country bumpkin due to her peasantry background. This tends to stick out when she's next to more elegant characters like Gawain or Arthur.
• Interclass Friendship: With most of the Round Table Knights, since she rose from the commoner rank.
• Sweet Tooth: She's very fond of desserts and snacks (which are the only parts of Britannian cuisine that's palatable to people with reasonable tastes).

Other Factions

Knights Templar

• Church Militant: They are literally the Knights Templar, so in theory it's what they do.
• Heel–Face Return: Meta example. They were first introduced in Gold as the villianous faction who sets off the main plot. In War Wonder however, they work for the EU to fight against the encroaching Elpis forces, and are secretly employed by Mu to safeguard the City of Ys.
• Multinational Team: Like their inspiration, they all come from different countries; Payens, de Molay and Bartholomew are French, Tancred is Italo-Norman, Georgios is Capadoccian Greek and Elias is Sicilian.

Hugues de Payens

• The Gadfly: She retains the sardonic personality from her previous incarnation, and enjoys teasing people (mostly Chihaya) for her own amusements.
• In the Hood: Still wearing her signature black and white Templar hood.
• Jack of All Trades: She has a good assortment of damage, healing/self-healing and debuff skills. Coupled with her balanced stats, this makes her a highly versalite unit suitable for most matchups.
• Only Sane Man: Despite her gadfly tendencies, when compared to de Molay's extreme pessimism, Tancred's recklessness, Georgios' dragon-killing obsession, Elias' shyness and Batholomew's hyperactivity, Payens is easily the most competent and serious of the bunch.
• Promoted to Playable: Introduced in GOLD as an enemy, she becomes playable here.
• Token Wholesome: She's the most modestly dressed of the Knights Templar, and even her damaged sprite doesn't show anything naughty.

Jacques de Molay

• The Eeyore: Constantly gloomy and sighing, and has a generally pessimistic outlook on life.
• Honest John's Dealership: She runs the Templars' financial institute which offers banking and insurance services. While it is a legitimate business, she's not above coaxing potential clients into ludicrously expensive insurance schemes which will come back to bite them in the butt (as poor Tristan finds out the hard way).
• The Medic: All of her skills (barring the regular attack) are healing spells.
• Navel-Deep Neckline: Her robe is open to show her cleavage, and all the way to her panties.
• She Cleans Up Nicely: Not that she's unattractive in her regular outfit, but her Valentine look highlights her prettiness and she even looks happier.

Georgios

• Bling of War: She wears an ornate golden armor themed after dragons.
• Girlish Pigtails: While not particularly girly, she has the style with blue ribbons.
• Go Through Me: She has very high defense and HP. Coupled with the new guard mechanic introduced for War Wonder ^note which allows characters who have the appropriate skill to take hits for their allies, this makes her an excellent tank who can shield teammates from danger.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She has orange hair and green eyes and she's one of the most famous dragon slayers in the world.
• Single-Issue Wonk: Obsessed with dragonslaying and anything to do with it. Bringing up the word "dragon" while in the same general area as Georgios, and chances are she will pop right up out of nowhere to go on a maniacal tirade about her dragon-killing records.
• Weapon-Based Characterization: An ornate golden spear with a dragon design, which fits her role as a dragon slayer.

Tancred

"Knights Templar Archer Brigade, charge forth!"

• Attack! Attack! Attack!: Obsessed with charging enemy lines. Given that she commands a brigade of archers who are ill-fitted for close-range combat, this naturally causes much woe among her underlings and superiors alike.
• Boobs-and-Butt Pose: Her school girl look displays her assets in this position.
• Cast from Hit Points: Fitting for someone who charges blindly into the fray, most of her skills will either deal damage to herself, or an unfortunate ally who got caught in the crossfire.
• Comical Overreacting: Tancred tends to take things at face value, and her habit of solving every problem through brute force (mainly by charging at said problem) causes constant headaches to Payens.
• Drill Sergeant Nasty: Towards her subordinates, although in this case it's due to her single-minded focus on charging the enemy, rather than deliberately trying to put her troops through Training from Hell.
• Going Commando: Her otherwise covering outfit has an opening for her crotch that shows she's not wearing anything underneath. Her school girl costume shows she's wearing black panties instead.
• Honor Before Reason: She regards firing upon the enemy from afar to be cowardly and remarks that "the world hates a sniper who camps", which is why she always rushes in throwing caution to the wind.
• Leeroy Jenkins : She has no patience for military tactics and will lead a charge directly into enemy formation the moment the battle breaks out (or sometimes even when it hasn't). Payens specifically reassigned her to the archer brigade as an attempt to cure her bad habit. It doesn't help.
• Red Eyes, Take Warning: She noticeably has intense red eyes, which goes well with her headstrong and borderline reckless way of acting.

Elias

• Animal Motifs: The swan.
• Apologetic Attacker: Has a habit of doing this in combat.
• Minidress of Power: She wears a ballerina-esque minidress while wielding a giant scythe. Fittingly, she also has a very high attack rating to go with it.
• Navel-Deep Neckline: Her suit is open all the way past her navel.
• Shrinking Violet: She's extremely timid and withdrawn.
• Sinister Scythe: Her weapon of choice is a huge silver scythe.

Peter Bartholomew

• Cloudcuckoolander: Will often receive revelations in her dreams. However, her interpretation of said visions can often be somewhat warped and difficult for others to understand.
  • Attention Deficit... Ooh, Shiny!: Tied with the above trait, she will often get distracted in battle from detecting nearby buried relic, and goes to dig them up instead of attacking the enemy... who gets hit by the spears she manages to dig up anyway.
• Cute, but Cacophonic: She's very talkative and tends to go on bizarre tangents when conversing with others.
• Genki Girl: She's hyperactive almost all the time, even when she's not feeling well.
• Girlish Pigtails: She has her hair in two long pigtails, while in her yukata look she wears it in a single long pigtail.
• Going Native: She adapts the Zipangnese Yukata as part of the New Year festival celebration.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: She has orange hair and green eyes and she's in charge of finding relics.
• Third-Person Person: Refers to herself as "Peter" in the Japanese script.
• Token Mini-Moe: For the Knights Templar, being the youngest and most innocent looking.

Landsknecht

• Private Military Contractors: Like the historical mercenary group, they participate in battles all over Europe and will fight against any nation depending on who's currently paying.
  • Only in It for the Money: They charge by the hour and will not hesitate to clock out and leave the moment their contract expires, as Marie finds out the hard way.

Albrecht von Wallenstein

• Consummate Professional: She's strictly about business and does not attach herself too much with what happens on the battlefield.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: One half of her Leotard of Power is covered with various pieces of clothing, while the other half is left unadorned.
• Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Her hair covers her left eye, fitting for her flip-flopping tendencies.
• Pointy Ears: Her ears are rather pointy.
• Weapon Specialization: Wields a giant halberd in battle.

Götz von Berlichingen

• Ambiguously Brown: She has pink hair and dark skin, but unlike with Rostam or Takeyoshi, there's no indication those are tan-lines.
• Artificial Limbs: Her right arm has been replaced with a spiked mace.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: Due to her artificial arm, only her left arm is covered.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears lingerie, a fluffy skirt and a large hat.

John Hawkwood

• Batter Up!: Her weapon is a massive wooden baseball bat.
• Friendly Rivalry: With Magellan, since she's the batter to her pitcher.
• Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Her left eye is slightly concealed behind her bangs.
• One-Steve Limit: She has the same name as Johnny Appleseed, but since they're both referred to by their last names, there's no confusion.

Odoacer

"Bountiful bosoms for a bountiful life!"

• A-Cup Angst: Angsts over her own deficiency in the department, and will fanatically grope well-endowed heroines whenever she sees them, much to their chagrin.
• Bust-Contrast Duo: To everyone else in Landsknecht, as she's the only flat-chested heroine among her well-endowed peers. She will also deliberately invoke this trope whenever she's working with a busty ally.
• Buxom Beauty Standard: Worships ample breasts zealously, and will seize any opportunity to fondle the nearest pair available to an obnoxious degree.

Pandora

• Multinational Team: Just like the Dingir.Ra and the Einherjar, the members of Pandora come from all over the world; Pandora and Hippolyta are Greek, Takiyasha is from Zipang, Taishang from Taika, Heyoka is Sioux, Cath Palug is Welsh and Taliesin is Britannian.

Pandora (Alternate World)

• Incorruptible Pure Pureness: Unlike the original Pandora, she's not affected by her Pandora's Box, and is immune from the One-Winged Angel-inducing power of the Negative Energy it stores.
• Support Party Member: She's one of the few units in the game who has no offensive capabilities, relying purely on her debuff spells to assist her allies in battle.

Hippolyta

• Ascended Extra: She began as a (non-human) NPC faced during one of Hercules' events in the first game.
• Chainmail Bikini: The only thing she wears is a golden bikini.
• Master Archer: Her arrows hit true and hard. Justified as she is an Ancient Hero, on top of also being queen of the Amazons.
• Significant White Hair, Dark Skin: She has long pale blonde hair that turns sky blue at the tips and her complexion is darker than the other Greek heroes, and she's a prominent member of Pandora and the secret sponsor of the East Marauders.
• The Team Benefactor: Turns out to be the Anonymous Benefactor who is funding the East Marauders in the South Seas Campaign.

Princess Takiyasha

• Fashionable Asymmetry: She only wears a stocking and a sleeve on her left side.
• Horned Humanoid: She has a pair of small horns on her forehead.
• I Want My Mommy!: Separated from her mother due to dimensional shenanigans, she misses her mother dearly until she is able to find comfort with Chihaya.
• Necromancer: Implied. In her original mythology, Princess Takiyasha is a dark sorceress who's capable of summoning a giant skeleton as her trump card move. She's more of a hexer here, but her weapon and spells still have hints of this.
• Shrinking Violet: She is very timid and meek in front of others, which is understandable given her situation. However...
  • Naughty by Night: Once she's been initiated by Chihaya, it turns out she's a beast in the sheets, so much so that even Chihaya has a hard time keeping up with her.

Cath Palug

• Cat Girl: She's the most clear example in the game, even more so than Teach, who was cursed into her cat form.
• Mystical White Hair: She has silver-white hair, which contrasts well with her black tails, red cape and golden bikini.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears a red cape and a bikini.

Taliesin

• Magic Music: She heals and buffs her allies by singing.
• Vapor Wear: Her outfit clearly shows she's not wearing underwear.

Heyoka

• Idiot Hair: She has a thin but prominent cowlick.
• Improvised Lightning Rod: She primary attack method is to channel her lightning powers through her body, striking both herself and her enemies.
• Little Bit Beastly: She has horns, sharp teeth, a long tail and black wings.
• Strange-Syntax Speaker: Speaks in a back-to-front manner similar to Master Yoda from Star Wars.
• Stripperiffic: Only a thin white cloth covers her breasts and private parts.

Taishang Laojun

• Animal Motifs: The Ox. She has 2 ox-like horns protruding from her temples, in addition to the Oni-like horn on her forehead. It is unclear whether these are just accessories or parts of her. The horns may also be a reference to Journey to the West, where she keeps a magical ox/rhino as her mount.
• Fighting Across Time and Space: Her teleportation magic grants her the means to whisk her and her allies away at a moment's notice, forcing the Zipangese army to trek her down across the world.
• The Man Behind the Man: Revealed to be the mastermind behind Liu Bang's rebellion at the end of the Taika Campaign.
• The Medic: Serves this role to her fellow Ancient Heroes.
• Pointy Ears: Her ears are rather pointy with no explanation.
• The Slacker: Appears to lay about and do nothing all day. However, her character event reveals that unlike Takeru, she's holding back from actively working so she can be available at a moment's notice should her skills be required.

Dingir.Ra

Brynhildr

• Going Commando: Her white cloth clearly shows she's not wearing anything underneath it.
• Laser-Guided Amnesia: Capable of inflicting this on people with her spear. A large part of the Valhalla campaign revolves around her secretly exploiting heroines summoned from other dimensions to further the resurrection of Odin, then erasing their memories of it afterwards.
• My Master, Right or Wrong: Towards Odin.
• Pronoun Trouble: While it's hardly uncommon for female characters in this game to use masculine pronouns (for obvious reasons), Brynhildr uses the very archaic and also extremely masculine Naikou (乃公), which sticks out a lot more than the others since she's basically patronizing her addressee by referring to herself as "This Daddy". This is also doubly odd given she's one of the few characters in the game whose inspiration was female to begin with.
• Valkyries: She's the most famous of all known valkyries.
• Weapon Specialization: She wields a spear in battle, and she can use it to delete the memories of others.

Rossweisse

• Doppelgänger Attack: She can conjure multiple copies of herself by sacrificing a large portion of her health.
• The Ingenue: She has no knowledge of the wider world and is prone to be lead astray by the less-than-scrupulous members of the Zipangese army.
• Stripperiffic: Only a thin white cloth covers her crotch.
• Valkyries: After Brynhildr, she's one of the best known valkyries.

Fafnir

• Bratty Half-Pint: She's pretty headstrong and capricious.
• Historical Hero Upgrade: Or rather, Mythological Hero Upgrade. Her sentient serpent shield is the serpent-haired Medusa, who was a mortal enemy of Perseus in the original myth, and their encounter ended with Medusa getting beheaded by the latter. Here however, the two of them are close friends, with Medusa often acting as the young heroine's caretaker and guardian.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Intense red hair and green eyes and she's one of the most famous Greek heroes.
• Stripperiffic: Only wearing a set of string bikinis and boots to cover herself with.

Rostam

• Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: She's very proud of her fighting prowess and claims to be "the unrivaled heroine". While she does have the skills to back it up, Chihaya is able to triumph over her in, ahem, a certain other aspect...
• Cat Girl: She fits very well, having Cute Little Fangs, a Playful Cat Smile and her hair is shaped like cat ears.
• Dual Wielding: She wields two curved swords.
• Lightning Bruiser: True to her claim as the "Unrivaled Heroine", she has an exceptionally high attack and speed rating with some very potent offense skills to go with them. You will need a bit of setup to go through her phase changes in order to unlock her full potential, but once you do, she can easily obliterate most enemies in quick successions with just a few hits.
• Tan Lines: She has some prominent tan lines.
• Stripperiffic: Only a tiny corset and thong prevent her from showing everything.

Einherjar

• Alternate Universe: They all come from an alternate dimension who somehow ended up in the current one.
• Multi National Team: Just like the Dingir.Ra and Pandora, they come from different countries; Amakusa and Hachimen are from Zipang, Wallace is Scottish, Spartacus is Thracian, Robespierre is French and Valkoinen is Finnish.

Amakusa Shiro

• Cool Sword: Her katana is conjoined with a shorter sword to form a cross shape, signifying her faith.
• The Fundamentalist: A devoted believer of (presumably Christian) faith. She was on a mission as the messenger of her religion before getting pulled into Chihaya's dimension.
• Kamehame Hadoken: Her Hero Skill has her producing a giant beam of energy out of her palms to blast the enemy with.
• Magic Knight: She combines her holy powers with swordplay, making for a deadly combo.

Gishiki Hachimen

• Carry a Big Stick: She wields a huge, spiked golden mace that's shaped like a pipe.
• Horned Humanoid: Comes with being an oni. Her headgear is also shaped like a pair of ox horns.
• Kimono Fanservice: Just like Seimei and Goemon, her kimono is practically falling off her shoulders.
• Stripperiffic: Her lingerie practically doesn't cover anything.

William Wallace

• BFS: She wields a sword that's almost as big as she is.
• Brave Scot: She's one of the best known examples.
• Collared by Fashion: She wears a collar to go with her dog motif.
• Dangerous Backswing: Her regular attack hits hard and covers a wide arc thanks to her weapon. Unfortunately, it will also hit the tile directly behind her, potentially catching an ally in the crossfire if they happen to be standing in that spot.
• Fashionable Asymmetry: She wears a gauntlet with a green scarf around it on her left arm while her right arm is bare.
• Hot-Blooded: Like a true Scot.
• One-Steve Limit: Has the same name as William Kidd and Billy the Kid. Being referred to by her last name helps to avoid confusion.
• Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Red hair, green, almost blue eyes and she's the most famous fighter for freedom in Scotland.
• Stripperiffic: She only wears a belt around her breasts and a mini-skirt.
• This Means Warpaint: Another famous trait carried over from her inspiration. Although in this case she's wearing hers perpetually, since she was going through Forever War in her own dimension.

Spartacus

• Animal Motifs: Bulls, even more prominently than Alexander.
• Blood Knight: She lives to fight and is always up for a challenge.
• Gladiator Revolt: She went through this back in her own dimension.
• Lightning Bruiser: In-game, her attacks can hit hard due to them inflicting bleed. This coupled with her passive skill which reduces her delay on kill, enables her to attack multiple times in a row before her opponent could strike back.

Maximilian Robespierre

• The Atoner: Horrified by the atrocities she committed in her own dimension, she seeks punishment for her sins and lives only to repent. Thankfully, through his usual methods, Chihaya is able to make her come to terms with her traumas.
• Mark of the Supernatural: One of her eyes is green and the other is blue, and she's a hero from another dimension.
• Off with His Head!: Her Hero Skill summons a giant spectral guillotine to harm her enemies.

Valkoinen

• Ascended Extra: Originally an NPC encountered in the notoriously brutal optional battle at Helsinki for the European campaign in GOLD. She retains her deadliness after becoming playable with one of the most damaging sniping skills in the game.
• The Baby of the Bunch: Timeline-wise speaking, she's the youngest heroine in the game, being based on a historical figure from the World War II era who lived all the way through to the early 21st Century.
• Cold Sniper: As with her real world counterpart, she's a taciturn but deadly markswoman who picks off her targets sight unseen. Bonus point for her ability to utilize snow as camouflage.
• Exposed to the Elements: For someone who constantly fights in the snow, her legs are completely exposed down to her shins.
• Killer Rabbit: Don't let her frail appearance fool you, she’s perfectly capable of ending you before you even spot her, and has already done so to thousands who crossed her path.
• No Celebrities Were Harmed: While quite obviously based on the Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä, she's named Valkoinen ^note "White" in Finnish here in order to avoid legal troubles.
• Pointy Ears: She has pointy, elf-like ears.
• Token Mini-Moe: For the Einherjar, being the youngest looking and the earliest hero.

Mu (Alternate World)

• Adaptational Attractiveness: When compared to the original Mu, she's quite cute looking.
• Alternate Self: To the Mu in Chihaya's dimension. She comes from a dystopian alternate universe where all hope are nearly lost.
• Defrosting Ice Queen: She's initially quite abrasive and cold towards everyone (understandable given where she comes from), but warms up quite a bit throughout the course of her campaign and character events. Especially towards Chihaya.
• Full-Frontal Assault: Other than a cloak and a chain, she's naked.
• Support Party Member: She can only deal direct damage with her passive skills, with her active skills being a mix of debuff spells, Energy Absorption and Damage Reflection.

• Guest Fighter: She's a crossover character from Alicesoft's Beat Wars Escalation Heroines.
• Heroes Prefer Swords: She wields a short sword, and is the most iconic character of her home series.

• Guest Fighter: She's a crossover character from Alicesoft's Beat Wars Escalation Heroines.
• Highly-Visible Ninja: She stands out like a Christmas light with her bubblegum-pink hair, shuriken the size of a table and bright red outfit.
• Ninja: A kunoichi who fights with ninjutsu and a massive shuriken.
• Stripperiffic: Her pants have an opening that leaves her panties exposed.

The Mermaid

A mysterious mermaid who appears in the Lost Presbyter's Kingdom and The Atlantean Trail campaigns, serving as the (unwitting) opponent to the Zipangnese army.

• Does This Remind You of Anything?: Her attack sprite has her holding a suspiciously-shaped sea snail in front of her crotch, while she arcs her head backwards in a rather suggestive pose as a splash of water seemingly erupts from its tip...
• Making a Splash: She relies on her water manipulation powers as her main offense.
• No Name Given: She is never named by the game, and her dialogue designation simply shows up as "???" during story events. Digging through the game's internal code reveals her identity to be Iara, a figure from Brazilian mythology, and it seems she was at one point intended to be playable, but never made the cut somehow.
• Our Mermaids Are Different: Her appearance is more in-line with the classical depiction, resembling a young girl with Ear Fins and a fish tail instead of legs.
• Unwitting Instigator of Doom: It turns out she was the one who lead the dangerous sea dragon to Prestopia, unaware of it being an inhabited region and throwing the submerged kingdom onto the bream of extinction.
• Verbal Tic: All of her sentences are preceded by a short burst of bubble-blowing sounds ^example"Blublub...".

The Core of Atlantis

The secret weapon of Atlantis - a sentient AI-controlled war machine created to be used against the sealed beasts. Appears in the Expedition to The Underwater City Atlantis campaign as its main antagonist.

• Big Sister Instinct: Towards Atlas, who is the youngest of the Atlantis Guardians and the city's ultimate weapon.
• Combat Tentacles: The mechanical tentacles attached to her frame are capable of emitting lasers in conjunction to serving as melee weapons.
• Humongous Mecha: While slightly smaller than the mountain-sized Yamata-no-Orochi, she still easily towers over most humans, with her in-battle sprite taking up at least 5 times as much space as any regular character does.
• Power Crystal: Like most Atlantean units, she's powered by the crystalline Deep Sea Stone embedded in the cranial section of her frame.
• Robo Speak: She speaks in a very formally manner, and her lines are broken up by two dashes on either side to illustrate her robotic speech patterns.
