Sort of self explanatory really but I think Lost Years will be more of a sequel than the marketing is leading on. We'll see the new Turtles begin their training (we'll also get their names, weapons, personalities, etc) under April and Casey-Marie. The Turtles hit a snag in their training so April breaks out the journal for insight, reading about the titular 'lost years' and teaching the new team some sort of lesson with what she's read.
- Yes and no. One story will be Casey raising the new turtles, but occasionally it will also flash back to the trials Michelangelo went through on his journey back to New York.
Though orginating in the 2003 show, Hun was retconned into the original Mirage comics as the leader of the Purple Dragons (later renamed the Black Dragons.) Perhaps the Purple Dragons worked under Hirito's nose and when the Foot fall for good, Hun makes a power play and tries to become a Kingpin of crime. As for how he could still be alive, perhaps he's been using cybernetics to maintain his body or even found a way to physcially augment himself with mutagen like the IDW Hun(if it was even possible for him to get his hands on the stuff)
The first flashback features the turtles bringing an injured Splinter to Casey and April and explaining that the truce has been broken with the attack, but when Karai addresses the Foot later in the same flashback she states that blood has been spilled and there is no turning back without declaring that she broke the truce. Considering Hiroto's god complex, it seems likely that he had enough influence even at this time to stage an attack on both clans to provoke a new war that would destroy the Hamato clan and allow Hiroto to take power from his mother.
If the player beats the game 100%, the Ronin will survive his final battle with Hiroto. Otherwise, you get the same ending as the book.
