Those don't need to be in folders. Also, please remember the foldercontrol markup.
- Yep!
Amour Mitts, jamespolk, Water Blap, Lymantria - Hollering y'all 'cause y'all participated in my other posts / threads on this topic...
So... I've stuck all the 0-wicked redirects into their own folder. 'Cause they're the easiest to manage since we don't have to worry about fixing wicks.
Anyone feel like picking one to start with? Or shall we just start from the top, with a Yea, Nea on for:
- Firebreather: Disambig to Comic Book/ and Breath Weapon?? Or do we have a general trope for Firebreathing?
I think the easiest thing to do with the 0-wicked pages is to cut them outright unless it's particularly witty. My issue with Firebreather being disambiguated for the work and Breath Weapon is that it's unnecessarily specific whereas someone looking for Breath Weapon wouldn't necessarily be looking for fire-as-a-Breath Weapon. Plus "Firebreather" isn't particularly witty for a name.
I think these are two important criteria to have because when suggesting a rename, redirects are practically a free switch, IIRC.
TL;DR version: I'm downvoting a disambig page for Firebreather because (1) it isn't another way of referencing the trope and (2) it doesn't sound particularly witty or funny.
EDIT:
Also,it would be useful to know the redirect's inbounds relative to the target's inbounds. So, for Firestarter, the redirect has 239 inbounds and 0 wicks but the target has over 2,000 inbounds and 27 wicks. That's, what, about 10 percent of the target's inbounds? It's worse for comparing it to Breath Weapon, which has about 3,000 inbounds and over 2,000 wicks (about 6 percent of BW's inbounds).
My point is that it seems one could make a decently strong argument that either (a) the redirect is not used for traffic to get to the work page or (b) the redirect is useless for either and so would be useless for both.
I suppose that could be a third criterion, idk. But the other two criteria collectively outweigh the third, so my position isn't changed for Firebreather.

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty- Makes sense. I sent Firebreather to the cutlist.
How about this? The inbounds are in brackets:
- The Forever War (461): Disambig into Literature/ (2,518) and Forever War (7,553)?
In a case like that, I think the closeness of all the names would outweigh any concerns about number of inbounds.
Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Agreed. To continue to use the criteria I suggested/used above, that would be another way of referencing the trope (it's the same name but with an article in front of it) and it is equally witty or funny. Two out of three ain't bad. I think it could be made a disambig.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they prettyI believe the proposed metric is "does the name function well as a redirect for more than one page" or "are two pages nearly identical in name", either of which is sufficient reason to disambiguate manually.
With that in mind, I believe The Forever War, Flyover Country, and Ghost World are all good candidates for manual disambiguations.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.- Yep, I caught that, so I manually sent out P Ms. Thanks for giving me a reason to say that. :)
Disambiguated all three. ... Do we have a "City Inhabited by Ghosts / Undead" trope?
How do y'all feel about these two?:
- Ghoul School (5): Disambig into Main.All Ghouls School (2,478), ComicBook.All Ghouls School (223), and the Video Game/ (153)?
- Green Eggs And Ham (615): Disambig into Literature/ (959) and Palette-Swapped Alien Food (256), to match Green Eggs (8)? Or turn Green Eggs into the disambig and cut Green Eggs And Ham?
And.
Gonna do the following if there's no objections in a day or so:
- Gritty Reboots (178): Disambig into Web Video/ (295) and Darker and Edgier (86,326) to match Gritty Reboot (16)?
- Inhuman: Disambig between Webcomic/, Comic Book/Inhumans, and Inhuman Human?
- Iron Chef: Disambig into Series/ and Chef of Iron.
- The Jerk: Disambig into Film/, Jerkass and The Jerk Index?
- Labyrinths: Disambig into Labyrinth, The Maze, and Webcomic/?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576- Ghoul School: Agreed. It's practically the same name.
- Green Eggs And Ham: Agreed for the fomer suggestion. Disamgibuate GEAH for Literature/GEAH and Palette-Swapped Alien Food.
- I'd add to the suggestion, though: Namely, to cut Green Eggs. With 0 wicks and 8 inbounds, it's a useless redirect.
- Gritty Reboots: Agreed.
- Inhuman: Agreed.
- Iron Chef: Agreed.
- The Jerk: Agreed.
- Labyrinths: Disagree. It has 3 inbounds and 0 wicks and so is useless. There's already Labyrinth to use as a disambig page, so put it all on there, I should think. And cutlist the plural Main/ page.
Well, the above are done, except for Green Eggs And Ham, which I feel is somewhat pointless as a disambig if we we don't have Green Eggs to make the connection with...
So, here's the 0-ed 'H'-s:
- Hearts (2): Disambig to Tabletop Game/ (100), Heart Symbol (260), or, for the latter, instead transplant the "Related Tropes" index on Heart Symbol to there?
- Higher Ground (93): Disambig to I Have The High Ground (23,487) and Series/ (855)?
- Hijinks Ensue (142): Disambig into Hilarity Ensues (22,640) as well as the Webcomic/ (260)?
- Hostage (74): Disambig into Film/ (868) and the I Have Your Index, which holds all the hostage tropes? (82).
- Hyperdrive (142): Disambig to Series/ (430) and the Faster-Than-Light Index (265)?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Green (eggs and ham) is a reasonable search term for Palette-Swapped Alien Food.
Gritty Reboots I object to, on the basis that we don't create redirects for plural terms.
Hearts — Same objection. We should make the disambiguation page at Heart, and list the following:
- Cardiovascular Love
- Literature.Heart
- Music.Heart
- Heart Beat-Down
- TabletopGame.Hearts
- Hearts Are Health
- Say It with Hearts
- Wicked Heart Symbol
Labyrinths — I added the webcomic to the singular main page disambiguation.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I also object to Hearts but add that the low inbound count makes it a useless redirect anyway. Heart could be really useful, with all those pages to disambiguate.
For Gritty Reboots, the inbounds outweigh those on Gritty Reboot. The latter seems to be useless as a redirect given the low inbounds...

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty- Cutting Hearts in a day, if no one disagrees. If you guys wanna make Heart a disambig, you could request on the Locked Pages Thread.
- Main.Green Eggs And Ham has been cut, so if you wanna argue for it, here's the code I used. The argument over it in the Locked Pages Thread starts from here.
[=''Green Eggs and Ham'' may refer to:=]\\
\\
[=* The [[Literature/GreenEggsAndHam book]].=]\\
[=* The trope known as PaletteSwappedAlienFood, for alien food that looks like Earth food, except it's weirdly colored.=]\\
\\
If a direct wick has led you here, please correct the link so that it points to the corresponding article.=]\\
[=----=]
[[/quoteblock]]
I'll set my standard waiting period for dissenting views to three days? How many of you Watch / check this thread?
Or how often do y'all log on? Dunno if my waiting period is too long... Then again, I take silence as "agree with the majority / last opinion"...

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I think there's basically zero chance anyone would search for that term unless they're looking for the extremely popular kids book. I don't think a disambig makes any sense at all—the autodisambig should be more than sufficient.
(And BTW, the book is not about alien food. They're simply presented as "normal" green eggs, for no particular reason except Rule of Funny.)

Speaking words of fandom: let it squee, let it squee.Green Eggs And Ham: TRS link Apparently Green Eggs was the original name. Green Eggs and Ham was re-added in 2015.
Heart: Posted in Locked Pages.
- Plurals: Regular plurals can be linked by surrounding the singular term with curly braces and adding the "s": {{Game Breaker}}s, for example, becomes Game Breakers. (Which should come naturally to Wikipedia Syntaxers.) Irregular pluralization can sometimes be worked around, "{{Compan|y}}ies" for example. Exceptions can be made for when it can't ("Men" for "Man") or plurals within the name (Bosses in Mook Clothing for Boss in Mook Clothing).
That doesn't really say anything about cases where the plural has a significant number of inbounds already and the singular has none. Not sure if anybody anticipated that possibility...

Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty- Additionally, the article's talking about Redirects, not Disambigs.
- Also, maybe instead of cutting, Main.Hearts into a redirect to Main.Heart?
In any case, Hearts is the only one not changed, so, the next are more vague than normal:
- I Feel Sick (63): Disambig into Comic Book/ and whatever trope is "I think I'm gonna be sick", then throws up. Lambshaded Vomiting or something, and Playing Sick?
- Kamui: Disambig into Video Game/, Kamui Uniforms of Anime.Kill La Kill and Kamui Gakupo of Music.VOCALOID?
- Karoshi: Video Game/, but as it's an idea, should it also be a Useful Note/ or something?

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576RE The full monty as slang, AFAIK "going the full monty" means something more like "putting in 110%". Maybe adding Up To Eleven to disambig would work?
OH MY GOD; MY PARENTS ARE GARDENIIIIINNNNGGGGG!!!!!- Well, I didn't know that, but doing... Check it in the Locked Pages thread.
So, if no one objects, in a day or so, Main.Hearts is gonna redirect to Main.Heart.

Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576- Totally fine. It's more crazysamaritan's thing? Although, I did make it into a trope index.
I guess The Heart does fit. Even though its sorta like a Search-Generated Index, it makes sense that it should be like that, given how people use Heart-based symbology.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576Are disambig supposed to work like indexes? I always thought they were more behind-the-curtain so to speak.
Look at all that shiny stuff ain't they pretty- Well, this is sorta a unique case, given how many Heart things we have, and no extant index that holds the tropes?
We could make Heart Tropes or something, to take the index, or I reinstate the index in Heart Symbol, but it seems to make the most sense in Main.Heart?
Hmm... Maybe we should make Heart Tropes... It would match what I planned for with Main.Abuse, disambig-ing into Video Game/ and the extant Abuse Tropes index, and the other disambigs that point to indexes...
