Complicated Relationship: The Toads (for Olly)
Folded to life by the Origami Craftsman, Olly turned against his creator. Insisting origami was the Master Race, he folded Olivia into existence then went on to fold soldiers to conquer Peach's Castle. His ultimate goal was to spread five streamers to gather paper and fold 1000 cranes, which would grant him a wish that would allow him to destroy all the Toads. Olivia traveled along with Mario to stop him. After his defeat, Olly repented for his atrocities and sacrificed himself to become the last crane, which Olivia wished to undo all of his origami (including herself). They were recreated as nonliving constructs in a little castle at the Origami Festival.
One day in the Pantheon, Princess Peach held yet another anniversary of the Origami Festival. Many Mario deities attended, even Bowser got in on the fun (though insisting it was only for Jr's sake) Feeling bad that Olly and his sister were gone and couldn't attend the festival, she commissioned Hephaestus to use the Fold of Life and recreate them. The god obliged and at the party's climax, Olly and Olivia emerged, alive again, from the model Origami Castle. Shocked at their appearance, Mario gave Olivia a great big hug and Olly an awkward greeting.
After an exciting celebration, the pair was happy to be brought back to life alongside each other, but after learning the rules of the Pantheon, got upset after realizing they had to leave. Mario really didn't want to see them go, so went on a search across everyone in the Pantheon he knew to see if there was a way to ascend them. Eventually, Robin found a trope that was not covered, and the pair ascended for the 1000 Cranes they folded (though Olly technically folded 999 of them).
Applying to both
- Olly taught Olivia how to summon Vellumental Circles at will, allowing them both to basically control all of the elements. This did not go under Aang's notice, and he was excited there was someone else with his powerset. He got them to show him all of their elements: Fire, Water, Earth, and... Ice? Toph laughed at Aang's element being the only one they didn't have, taunting that it wasn't useful enough.
- Of course, both were disgusted by many other Mario villains in the Pantheon, as they were not slighted, but simply hungry for power, and were not redeemed. Antasma, the The Shroobs, and especially the Shadow Queen actually scared them. Antasma's and feelings toward them are not known, and the Shroobs are themselves scared of their great folding power, but the Shadow Queen was simply amused.
- Though they hadn't been created when Galeem and Dharkon were destroying the Pantheon, the duo were still attacted by them and became spirits, this made them feel quite unsatisfied. Olivia was unable to understand why Galeem and Dharkon never stopped fighting and Olly lamented that he had been immersed in meaningless hate like them before. Although they felt upset about turning into spirits, they were still glad to grow a friendship with Toon Link and Pikachu because of this matter.
- Kamek, being into magical research (and having witnessed Olly's folded creations firsthand), wanted to test just how far their powers could go. He got them to see how much of the House of Craft they could duplicate. To his and many others' amazement, within a couple of hours they managed to recreate the entire massive house to the precision of a square centimeter. Almost all machinery worked and countless Craft deities were in complete awe. Even some of Hephaestus's creations were remade. The very forge itself was duplicated, and Hephaestus tested it by making Zeus a few thunderbolts there. Zeus said the thunderbolts were just as good as ever. Several deities found it ironic that Hephaestus's recreation of the Origami Craftsman's work would go on to recreate his own work. Even The Keeper's dungeons were not outside their capabilities.
  - However, there were a few parts the duo couldn't remake. Jareth's titular labyrinth was too complicated for even them, likely due to being a borderline Eldritch Location. Dyntos's creations and forge were even more unfathomable to them. Olivia said Dyntos' devices "feel really really different", and Olly further explained that they seemed as if they operated on a fundamentally higher level than their folding abilities (and given he's an Overdeity, that's not an outrageous claim).
- When Kartana knew there were other origami creatures in the Pantheon, it found them and asked Olly about the Flod of Live. Olly also inquired about how Kartana made paper as strong as metal.
  - To other Utral Beasts, Olivia considered them as adorable and Olly didn't think so. However, the duo were both sympathize with the Utral Beasts' sudden arrival in a place where they do not belong.
- With the duo's acceptance as deities of 1000 Origami Cranes, the Pantheon realized something huge: anyone could theoretically fold 1000 cranes to have their wish granted. The Court of Gods quickly met to discuss what to do about this, though Olly insisted only beings made of origami could make the wish. They brought in the strongest archmages, including Merlin, Dr. Strange, Dr. Fate, and Xerath to weave a spell preventing all origami wish-granting across the Pantheon. The spell succeeded and the wish power was nullified. It was a good thing too, Melkor had already gotten the GUAE to fold 980 of them.
- Kubo was interested in there being other origami-folders in the Pantheon, even more so when he found they were made of the stuff themselves. He had a competition to see if he could fold the two out of their shapes faster than they could fold themselves back into them, but they effortlessly undid any of his progress, as their folding was far more powerful than his.
Applying to Olivia
- Olivia was just so excited to meet everyone at the Pantheon. Being a child-at-heart, she hangs out a lot at the House of Childhood.
- After coming to the Pantheon, she went to find Bobby the Bob-bom immediately. Among countless bob-boms, she found Bobby. Bobby was surprised that they can meet again and they hugged each other tightly (or maybe just Olivia hugged Bobby since he had no arms).
  - Olivia also made friends with other Bob-boms, like Bobby's comrade, Bob-bom Buddys, King Bob-bom, Bombette and Admiral Bobbery. It seemed that she get along with them pretty well.
- Some people wondered why Olivia didn't just wish all origami aside from herself to be destroyed, and the girl innocently points out she hadn't thought of it at the time. The entire House of Philosophy facepalmed (well Aslan didn't have hands but still).
- Olivia occasionally hangs out with Bowser Jr, as her fun-loving ways match his mischievousness. Jr once bragged that he could paint better than she could fold, so they both agreed to create Peach's Castle replicas. Her training from Olly improved her skills massively, and she finished the castle before Jr could even make an individual tower. Surprisingly, Junior didn't throw a tantrum about it, and Bowser marveled as that was the first time he remained calm. He asked what Olivia did, and she just said she was nice to him. Some deities thought Jr could be developing feelings for Olivia, but they don't dare say. Aphrodite once mentioned it, causing Bowser to punch her so hard she was launched halfway across Mount Olympus.
- After Cackletta saw Olivia opening the Fire Vellumental Cave, she managed to steal her voice. She once almost won Olivia's trust and took her voice, luckily, Mario and Luigi discoveried her schemes in time and drove her away from Olivia. Failed at gaining Olivia's trust, Cackletta planned to kidnap she directly.
- Her innocence also attracted the Powerpuff Girls. Olivia showed them how she turns herself into the shape of the Vellumental and impressde them. Then Olivia taught Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup how to fold origami cranes, but soon she realized the fact that they don't have fingers and can't fold origamis.
  - When the Amoeba Boys saw Olivia's Vellumental forms, they were freaked out and tried to get away from her as far as they can. But HIM was vary interested in her. And Princess Morbucks was just jealous of her abilities and her relationship with the Powerpuff Girls. Mojo Jojo laughed at Olivia, thinking she was too ridiculous to be his enemy.
Applying to Olly
- Some deities thought Olly didn't deserve a second chance after attempting to kill all the Toads. Steven Universe, being the All-Loving Hero he is, convinced many others that Olly was good now, and if the Diamonds could change, why couldn't Olly?
  - With guidance from Steven, Olly learned to use his powers for good, folding a spare shield for Captain America, a Furious Five action figure set for Po, and countless other tools.
- Blumiere also sympathized with Olly, as another Mario deity who had originally wanted genocide, but was redeemed and sacrificed to save countless lives. The two found solace in each other.
  - Dimentio, meanwhile, freaks Olly out. The jester is crafty, dangerous, and just plain creepy, with his similar color scheme being a reminder of how Olly could have become like him. During their only meeting, Dimentio told Olly he could never redeem himself and that he would always be evil, so it would be best to join him. Blumiere quickly shut him up, pointing out he just wanted Olly for his Reality Warping power, which in some ways exceeded the jester's own.
  - Fawful was another villain who tried to bring him back to evil. He hoped that they can team up ,find The Dark Star and build an army of Dark Folded Soidler. Unlike Dimentio, Fawful didn't scared him, just made him confused. He clearly knew that neither Fawful nor The Dark Star could be trusted. So he refused Fawful's invitation for alliance and told him how uncomfortable he has made him. This made Fawful have fury.
- The Toads weren't exactly happy with his ascension. Normally they are quick to forget, but he had tried to kill all of them and specifically them. They were especially riled up when Olivia accidentally blurted out it was because the Origami Craftsman wrote him a note. Toadsworth was upset as well, but for a different reason: Olly had mind-controlled Princess Peach to do his bidding. The fact that Toadsworth was more concerned about Peach than he was about his own kind ticked the rest off further, and some began marching up to Peach demanding her to step off the throne and bring Olly to justice. Mario, rushing to Peach's defense, ended up hearing out all of the Toad's complaints head-on, letting them get calmer and happier before they went to hear out Olly. It was through this that the Toads realized that King Olly was essentially giving a newborn baby a tattoo, which could have been another reason Olly was so distrustful of the Toads. Why they are willing to let live, for now, distrust is still very noticeable in a couple of toads.
