Debuting in the EX series
The King of Fighters EX: Neo Blood
Moe Habana
Origin: USA
Fighting style: Jeet Kun Do
Voiced by: Reiko Chiba
The female lead of the series, Moe is a guardian of one of the Ten Sacred Treasures, the Yatsuka no Tsurugi. A high school student residing in America, she comes across a wounded Kyo after his battle with Orochi and subsequent evasion of NESTS. Worried for his safety, Moe nurses Kyo back to health and accompanies him throughout KOF.
- Big Brother Mentor: She sees Kyo as one.
- Boyish Short Hair: With sidetails, possibly in emulation of Kyo.
- But Not Too Foreign: Japanese parentage, but she grew up in the States.
- Cute Bruiser
- Distaff Counterpart:
- Could be thought of as Kyo's. She styles her hair like his, copies his fighting stance, and shares a few (but not all) of his moves, tailored to her powers.
- She also can be said to be Shingo's - a huge fan of Kyo's who emulates and gets to fight alongside their idol.
- Heart Symbol: On her t-shirt.
- Modesty Shorts
- Ordinary High-School Student
- Petal Power: her powers manifest as flying sakura petals.
- Punny Name: Named after the Japanese fad known as Moe.
- Shoryuken: A somersault kick variant in one of her specials.
- Spam Attack: One of her desperation moves is a series of flying kicks.
- Spin Attack: one of her DMs has her spin her whole body while being surrounded by petals, then she does an uppercut move like Kyo's Oni Yaki.
- Three-Strike Combo: has a 3-hit rekka special like Kyo and Iori.
- Waif-Fu: a waifish high school student who kicks ass.
The King of Fighters EX2: Howling Blood
Sinobu Amou
Origin: Japan
Fighting style: Wind and electricity control
Voiced by: Sawa Ishige
The shy guardian of one of the Ten Sacred Treasures, the Makaru Kaeshi no Tama, Sinobu was kidnapped by the European millionaire Gustav Munchausen, who plans to channel the spirit of Goenitz through his body.
- Blow You Away: courtesy of having Goenitz's spirit.
- Brainwashed and Crazy: emphasis on "crazy".
- Grand Theft Me: By Goenitz, no less.
- The Dragon: To Gustav, although not willingly.
- Golden Super Mode: For the second round. This also signifies his change of Elemental Powers from wind to lightning.
- Long-Range Fighter: a lot of his moves are capable of hurting you from long ranges, including the infamous Yonokaze (although he doesn't spam it as much).
- Mystical White Hair: has white hair and is capable of elemental attacks. He also fights more like a magic user.
- Power Floats: he floats instead of walking, which emphasizes his supernatural theme.
- Shock and Awe: wields lightning powers for the second round.
- SNK Boss: He holds the distinction of being the youngest one ever in this series. His winquote sums it up quite nicely.Sinobu: "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I BROKE YOU!!!"
Jun Kagami
Origin: Japan
Fighting style: Various martial arts
Voiced by: Mariko Suzuki
Another guardian of the Ten Sacred Treasures, Jun is a classy woman who enjoys the finer things in life. She joins Iori's team in EX2 to help out Miu.
- Combat Stilettos: Wears tall heels for combat. That may also be the reason why she runs rather slowly.
- Dance Battler: Downplayed, she just likes dancing in his idle standing and walking pose, but her style is far from "dancing".
- Grapple Move: She has both a normal grapple and an Anti-Air grapple move, as well as a grapple DM.
- Gravity Master: Most notably seen in her apparent Super-Strength; she's so powerful that she can smash her opponent into the ground with enough force, causing them to bounce vertically off-screen.
- Mighty Glacier: Has the slowest run of all characters, barring Chang. Her gameplay is also power-based.
- Of Corsets Sexy: Her top consists of nothing but a corset.
- Slide Attack: One of her specials is a sliding kick.
- Statuesque Stunner: She actually beats out Diana as the tallest female in all continuities at 6'6" (199cm).
- Supermodel Strut: As a Dance Battler she is shaking her hips and her walking animation is a flirty gait that almost always has one, if not both, hands poised at her hips.
Miu Kurosaki
Origin: Japan
Fighting style: "Darkness vessel"
Voiced by: Ai Nonaka
A guardian of one of the Ten Sacred Treasures, Miu is a quiet and lonely girl. She joins the EX2 tournament in search of her older brother Sinobu, who she fears has fallen prey to the Orochi power.
- Aloof Dark-Haired Girl: She has black hair and she's so quiet and gloomy.
- Badass Back: Her backward walking animation and victory pose.
- Dramatic Wind: Her standing pose has her clothes perpetually waving as if it's blown constantly by an unseen wind.
- Feather Flechettes: A few of her normals are accompanied by falling feathers that do extra hits, and some of her specials has her throw sharp feathers. One of her DMs has her spam the throwing feathers.
- Joshikousei: She wears the classic Japanese schoolgirl outfit, although hers are colored mostly black.
- Magic Skirt
- The Quiet One: She rarely, if ever, talks.
- Razor-Sharp Hand: Like Iori, she can slice people with her bare hands.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Subverted. She appears to not care for much, but if you're close to her, she'll shower you with genuine affection.
- School Uniforms are the New Black
- Slipknot Ponytail: She lets her sidetail loose in one of her win poses.
- This Is a Drill: She has a drilling attack with her feathers in one of her specials and DMs.
Reiji Oogami
Origin: Japan
Fighting style: Various martial arts
Voiced by: Tetsu Inada
A member of the Hero Team in EX2 alongside Kyo and Moe, he is a guardian of the Hetsu Kagami, one of the Ten Sacred Treasures. A representative of Chizuru Kagura currently living in America, he is the one who invites Kyo to the tournament so they can investigate the phenomena disturbing the seal on Orochi.
- Action Dad: He even takes his toddler daughter along the battles he encounters sometimes.
- Diving Kick: He has this as one of this DMs.
- Doting Parent: Loves his daughter very much.
- Hopeless Suitor: Appears to be one for Jun given his dialogue during the Hero Team's encounter with the Yagami Team.
- Hunk: Ab. Sol. Lutely.
- Master of Illusion: can create illusive copies of himself, somewhat like Chizuru.
- No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: he has a "ranbu" styled DM not unlike Ryo's or Robert's.
- Playing with Fire: a few of his attacks can burn his opponents.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Subverted. He is very focused on addressing his clan's duties, but outside of combat, he's more laid back and optimistic, especially when it comes to his daughter. In a fight, however, Reiji's no slouch.
- She Is Not My Girlfriend: Because his daughter dresses in a manner similar to Chizuru and even resembles her, there was a strong rumor that he was Chizuru's husband. The two are merely good friends and representatives of the same clan.
- Tall, Dark, and Handsome: At 5'10".
- Theme Naming: His moveset has a distinct wolf theme to it. Sadly, no Wolf Fang Fist here.
